Republic Services workers and union members in California are honoring
picking lines here in the Bay State. Trash is piling
up in Orange County and the San Francisco Bay Area,
with garbage not being picked up in some communities for
nearly a week. Meanwhile, workers in the Commonwealth are entering
week two of their strike. Thomas Maury is president of
Teamster's Local twenty five.

The pressure is being tightened on this company to do
the right thing by the working man, and what we're
doing with the Teamsters is we're showing that you take
on one of us, whether it's in Boston, but Poughkeepsie,
New York, well Orlando, Florida, we stick together.

negotiating table tomorrow with a federal mediator in Peabody. James
