During a recent neighborhood group meeting, Andrew Brand suggested that
Boston Police should request resources from state police or even
the National Guard to address recent criminal activity.

Apparently someone was away for a while and a homeless
person or someone was trying to squat and break into
their apartment and squat in it.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
As co president of the Worcester Square Area Neighborhood Association,
he was told by Boston Police that resources are limited,
but Mayor Michelle Wu says the National Guard is not
the answer.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
I don't believe we need or should have a military
deployment in our city.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
Wu says they are trying things to bring in more resources,
including a new partnership to help get people into recovery
beds and off the streets as quickly as possible. James
