Natalie Erika James feels confined by this prequel, despite making a powerful and moving debut in 2020's Relic. It skillfully matches Terry's destiny in Rosemary's Baby with the prequel's ending, hitting every anticipated story point with robotic efficiency. Apartment 7A doesn't offer any fresh narrative insights or jump-ins, so viewers won't find anything new to latch onto. It doesn't help at all that it has a lot in common with The First Omen. In the end, Rosemary's Baby will welcome newcomers more readily, but for those who are already familiar with the film, this is probably a tastefully crafted but extremely familiar trudge. Apartment 7A is conceptually completely incorrect.
