Matt Effect

My apologies it's been so long since my last podcast, too many ideas and not deciding where to land. So taking it to where I have a great deal of love, house and funky house. This collection of new tracks, reduxs, and remixes should get you dancing and into the groove. Thank you for being patient with me, and enjoy the journey!!

5-hour live recording from GEAR XL: NEW YEAR NEW GEAR with Matt Effect at The Rail in San Diego on Fri Jan 9th, 2026

Bringing you classics with a Nu Disco and Funky House twist, guaranteed to be a hit as these all were. Disco is where my love of music started, this feels like a love letter to my parents who'd put on a lot of these artists and we'd all listen, sing and dance along. Hope you do too!!

Live recorded set from Lazy Bear 2024's Saturday T-Dance at Johnson's Beach in Guerneville, CA. This is the FULL 5 hour set, start to finish. Except disco, house, nu-disco, club tracks, lots of stuff for everyone including many classics... it's a Tea Dance after all!! Relive the fun as the sun went down, or have a listen in anticipation for 2025. See y'all up on the river next year!!

Two things y'all should know about my music by now; I love a journey, and any throwback is always on my playlist. Enjoy these house mixes and samples of tracks you haven't heard in a while.

Cannot get enough of a good sample, redux and remix. Have put together a mix of all these and a few new ones as well. Giving you a progression through funky, house and tech house.

As y'all know, I love pretty much all kinds of electronic music, so putting together this was tough. Only because I wanted to do a few different things, but very happy with how this all came together. Get ready for an eclectic journey from tech house, house, some funky, and big progressive. Get out there and dance!

Been sitting on a lot of these tracks for awhile. When I need some time to regroup myself,  or chill out but still be lifted up, I put on some airy and euphoric melodic tracks. Sit back, unwind and listen.

One last set to end out the year. Expect tracks I've played for different gigs, a few classics and reduxs, plus some you'll hear next year. Thanks everyone for the support and look forward to more fun, sets and surprises to come. Happy New Year!!

For those of you who wanted more techno.... here it is!! I do love any good sound that has a big, rolling energy, this podcast will deliver that with all your techno needs being met.

It's a week out until Folsom in San Francisco, one of my favorite weekends of the year. Last year I was very fortunate to play for an event that means a lot to me, Read Bad. Here is my opening 3hr set from the night. Happy Folsom!! ♥️

Since I list in the Progressive House category, I wanted to do something very progressive with some melodic vibes. Whether you're chilling out, pushing on, or need to relax, please enjoy being the passenger with this podcast.

Feels like I've been listening and playing these songs for a long time, so was due to put them onto a podcast. Expect funky, rolling house and tech house tracks, plus a few classics. Have fun everyone and stay safe!!

I've been sitting on some of these tracks for nearly a year, and it was time to put together this big, driving, dark and sexy techno podcast. Turned out to be longer than planned, so get ready for this session!

There's been a bit of a heatwave recently, and I couldn't help myself but to put this together. Tons of classic redux tracks, with lots of bouncy energy, and some new stuff too. So get into the Vibes!!!

We all need a bit of a lift, some good vibes and to dance again. Some of us are coming back out, others are still in for now. But remember that the light is on the horizon and we will all be together soon. Keep being safe and enjoy these vocal house and uplifting classics (plus a few new tracks).
