It's my favorite time of the year again, musically - when my big trance mix comes out. Always worth the wait, and for me the only mix I do all year that I don't easily forget. This is another mix with a few years of tracks that have been percolating, and some from long long ago that I've never had the right context for. Last year I swayed to the dark side with hard techno and some total banger tracks - not much from this years mix would have worked back then.
But now the time for techno has passed and I am fully releasing the energy!
Resonance is first and foremost my favorite knob to tweak on a synthesizer, and second, one of the musical aspects of a lot of tracks that I will use to actually eliminate them from a mix. All that texture doesn't work well for me unless its across almost the entire mix. It's a great space to explore but it takes a lot of time to do in a way that satisfies me.
This mix is it. No doubts you will enjoy. I can not stop listening!
