Chris Carragher otherwise known as Chris Caggs is a Radio DJ/Podcaster proudly on air over 30 years across 15 radio stations Australia Wide and has travelled to 26 Countries. In 1994-95 Chris Caggs was introduced to radio in North Shore Sydney 2NSB FM 91.5 with Black Current Jam with Host Suzie Q. on a Wednesday Night, Streetbeat with Melissa Stirling and Simon Boutros. He got to be a guest by answering phone requests and shoutouts during his time on air. In July 1998, Cameron Griffiths (Mista C) joined with Chris to make a show on Australia's 1st Hip-Hop & RnB Community Radio Station, Pump FM 99.3FM. It later merged with New Wave FM to relaunch as a clubbing community radio station, which was on air for years until licensing problems abruptly ended production. In late 1998, Chris Caggs was given the chance to launch his own show on DJ-FM 87.6FM Dance Radio which was heavily supported by sponsors and commercials from Central Station Records, SBA Music, Noizenet, Carlton & United Breweries, and Telstra. Central Station Records supported Chris Caggs with owners Morgan & Jo quoting "We will further enhance Chris Caggs as the face on DJ-FM by strengthening his listener audience". Chris stayed with Dance Radio owned by Robert Lezzi and Rebecca Tynan. DJ-FM 87.6 was aimed to broadcast Sydney wide as Central FM, but due to technical complications, further work did not proceed. Later in 1999, Chris Caggs met Timmy Byrne and Phil K and the station was relaunched as Rhythm FM before becoming Kiss FM Dance Music Australia. Following 1998, Groove FM 96.9 & 94.5 Sydney was launched and founder Mike Scott, with Darren Leigh and Fab, allocated Chris Caggs to the Breakfast Show. Terry Foster was the News Reader and DJ Nino Brown & Leo hosted saturday nights. Along with Georgina Reed, Sam Boutros, Peter Moses, and more hosted shows. In May 2000 Broadcast of Groove FM 94.5 Osher Gunsberg took over the Breakfast Show and Chris Caggs hosted weekends. Other DJs were Bessie Bardot, Andrew T., Ian Spicer, Rodney O, Ted Vassall, Rene Rivkin of the Rivkin Report plus more. Groove FM did its 3rd Broadcast in December 2000-January 2001 and broadcasted from RM Media as Rhythm FM had moved to Big Fat Radio Studios. In August 2000 Groove FM 97.3FM Brisbane launched allowing Chris Caggs and Darren Leigh to set up a 6-week broadcast with Pulse FM studios in Brisbane. Chris Caggs did the music programming with Darren Leigh on The Breakfast Show. Other DJ's were Kristian Hernandez, DJ Kina, Scott Ferris, Patrick Donohue, and more, with our team continuing to do two more broadcasts. Chris Caggs broadcasted on 2RDJ 88.1FM Sydney's Inner West on several hip-hop, RnB and dance shifts from 1999-2006 including Tuesday Overdrive, Tuesday Shakedown and Saturday Shakedown. He filled in for Georgina Reed with Soultrax, Maxine Johns, Joe Tannous and MC Maurice during his time. Chris also broadcasted on Northside Radio FM 99.3 from August 2001-03 with Thursday Flavours Hip-Hop & RnB.
