The Merry Gentlemen clearly understands its audience, showcasing shirtless men dancing to rescue a business during the holiday season. I am part of that audience. However, despite its witty title and flashy visuals, the film's romantic elements ultimately lean towards the shallow. The bond between the two main characters is so rigid that no amount of effort can transform an otherwise frosty beginning into a warm romance, even in a movie that relies heavily on the alluring dance routines reminiscent of Magic Mike.
