Speaker 1 (00:00):
Is that very very, very very n Yeah, So what'd
you get me from the Serial Killers podcast? Hi?
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Hold on, that looks great.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
Welcome everybody to another exciting and fantastic episode.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Oh my god, your butt crack serial Killers. Yea hey,
that's probably the last time we're gonna be able to
use that little jingle there. Oh okay, we've got one
more week, Yeah, one more Yeah, Happy holidays.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
Happy holidays to you two, Scott, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
This is going to be there's another holiday cereal today.
Are you so excited? Well, we've done. It's weird because
there's a couple of years ago they came out with
Winterfest pebbles. We could just push that over, we just
move this camera. Do you remember what? Do you remember
Winterfest pebble?
Speaker 1 (00:46):
Oh my god, yes, of course. It was the blue
and the white no, and the sprinkle no no no,
and the had Betty was with rubble and they were
at the park. Was there and there the milk it's purple.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
No no, it was none of those things. Those are
all different pebbles cereals you're thinking of, all mixed together.
But that's not this. So this basically was just it
was red and green, fine, like you know. Okay, you
know what. Look wow. But here's the difference, Andrew. Okay,
Winterfest Pebbles the last time we did them did not
(01:21):
have marshmallows. So this year Winterfest Pebbles has marshmallows. So
it's limited edition Winterfest Fruity Pebbles, same fruity taste. So
we've actually done this cereal before, technically, Andrew, with marshmallows.
We've actually done this cereal technically before, Andrew, because we've
had fruity pebbles with marshmallows. So let's see how this
stacks up. And that was way dude, that was like
(01:43):
episode thirteen. Oh it was a long time Agoah, okay,
so exciting. So I don't I see I get excited
for stuff. You don't. You don't really get excited for
things like when I see crazy new cereals on the shelf,
I like my heart skips a beat and I'm like,
Andrew's going to be so happy, But no.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
What I bought cereal at the target that's gonna be
the next cereal. He's leaving that part out, so this
way it looks like I'm miserable, when really I did
go to the target and I saw two cereals, and
I thought of us, and then I bought the cereal.
You know, we didn't do them because I went to
Cereal KILLERSPC dot com.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Very good under the cereal tab. So here's the thing
with these, Andrew. These are the colors here look a
little bit more dull. And you want to know why.
I think because they've started to take out the artificial coloring. Ooh,
well that's encouraging. But I don't know. Here read the ingredients.
What I get the milk, See if there's anything artificial
in there?
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Rice, sugar, marshmallows, the corn syrup, canola and or soybean oil, salt,
red yellow, natural and artificial flavors, red yellow, so red
forty those are still the things red forty. Didn't the
say they were going to take out the red forty?
Speaker 2 (02:51):
They did? I think that's by twenty twenty six, coming soon. Yeah. Well,
it smells like straight up fruity pebbles. Yep, right up,
yah yah, tell me do you really want to.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Do?
Speaker 2 (03:04):
You know who that is? Yeah, you wouldn't get it. Eighties, babe,
late eighties, lighties, early nineties, late adies and no late eighties. Okay,
the marshmallows are a little bit flat. Yeah, I mean
it's fruity pebbles with marshmallows. If you're too sugary for me,
(03:26):
if you close your eyes, you wouldn't be able to
tell what color they are.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
Yeah, it's very sugary. Yeah, I want to give it
four bowls. It kind of makes it feel like icy.
Remember when that was the thing for like a hot second.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
They were like, oh, it feels like you're biting into ice.
Who wants that sensation?
Speaker 2 (03:42):
Well, I think was that one of the elf on
the shelf cereals? Yes, it was. By the way, the
sugar Quirkie one is back this year, but we've tried
it already, so we won't have it again. I mean,
it's fruity pebbles. But again, I think, and I may
have said this way back in episode thirteen, I love
(04:02):
fruity pebbles and it's a five bowler for me.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
The marshmallows just kind of it takes away. Yeah, it's
a little too much. It's not necessary. Yeah, I love marshmallows,
but maybe in a little bit less sweet cereal. I agree.
I'm going to give this three bowls and a spoon.
You can have too much of a good thing. Yeah,
I mean, and I would just eat an entire bag
of these marshmallows because I do like them. The marshmallows
(04:26):
are really good. It'd be great in hot chocolate. They
actually almost are like hot chocolate marshmallows. Honestly, this on
like an ice cream. I can see just cereal on
top of ice cream.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
It's not like I'm reinventing the wheel here.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
There's like entire stores that do that. No, I'm saying
this cereal on top of ice cream.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
This's on top of ice cream. I think would be
good because I think the dulness of like a vanilla
ice cream would work well with the sugar.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Okay, you know there's a bagel place by me. They
make fruity pebble waffles. Now, it's really interesting just saying.
I'm sure a lot of places have that. I've seen
fruity pebble bagels, fruity pebble everything. Yeah, they know, they
just crush it up and make it a powder. Well,
a lot of places just put them in hole. Oh yeah,
we're in that. Crunch them right, crunch, crunch. Okay, see
(05:09):
you that was funny. All right, So here's the next one, Andrew,
So that was produced. Wow, what to tease? Yeah, here's
the next one. Well this one? Can we do my
one from the target? No, we're going to really build
up for that one. That'll be the third. Okay, we'll
take a break, we'll come back, we'll do that and
it's going to be really excited. That's exciting. By the way,
the Winterfest Fruity Pebbles within the next two three weeks
will be on sale on the clearance rack. Okay, generally
(05:31):
that's what happens to the Christmas e cereals after. I
don't like the way this if you're watching on YouTube,
totally different vibe.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Well, you got to move the camera down just a smidge,
not a fan, just a camera down, just the physical
camera itself. Yep, yep, perfect, that all done? Okay, I
feel like I'm talking to my god daughter.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
What's that all done? Did you eat all your food?
All done? And then they get really excited. How old
is she now? Well?
Speaker 1 (05:58):
I have three god kids, as you know. How Hold's
the one with the curly hair, Tianna.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
She's six. Wow, I know because we were doing this
podcast and she was just born. I know, twenty eighteen, right, yes, twenty.
We're all excited for you. God, dad, Yeah, and now
I got two more of them. You're just popping them out. God,
you're a whore, all right. So Diamond came in earlier
and she's like, I'm opening this and I'm like, please
(06:22):
don't if we haven't done it yet, And because I
felt like being nice to her today, I said, fine,
we'll do that one in this episode. So this is
our buddy Bob from Bob's Red Mill. Oh. I know
him well. He recently passed a year or two ago,
so you don't know him. He's dead. Well. I know
of his products. Oh oh yeah. I mean he's got
all that whole isle. There are some supermarkets where it
actually says Bob's Red Mill on the freaking sign, the
(06:44):
isle sign. That's how much stuff that he's got. Is
the camera moving back up again? I don't know it's creeping.
I think it's alive. Someone's controlling.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
I think you need to like push it down just again.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
It's fine. So this is his granola. It's homestyle granola
with maple sea salt. No maple. You know, me and
maple don't have the best I like, ma me and
sea salt, are you know, not the best? Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
You don't like when they put sea salt on things? No,
because then I just get that weird salty bite.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
And I'm like, h speaking of did I tell you
about this new ice cream at Viral the whole thing
at stew Leonards? Did I tell you what they're doing?
You didn't. So they have a little ice cream thing there,
soft serve whatever. They have the dull whip, and they
have all the flavors and whatever. Fun. So now the
big viral sensation. I don't know if they created it
or if they discover I have no idea. But what
they do is so they'll take a vanilla cone and
(07:32):
they'll dip it in hot drawn butter, like melted butter,
and then it hardens like the chocolate would harden on it,
and then they put a little sea salt on top
of it. Everyone says it's all the rage. I'm not
sure that I want to try. I would take maybe
a bite, but I don't want to eat any more
butter than I have to. It's like salty sweet, but
the butter salty, and then the ice cream is sweet. Well,
(07:55):
it's the sea salt that makes it salty. The butter
salt not if it's unsalted, makes a buttery I guess
what's the matter. I smell the maple, definitely the sweet
and salt effect. Okay, is that what they're going for?
I don't know. I'm just curious as to where he
puts his Christmas tree. That's stew lenderd guy.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
If I google it and it literally is like sweet
and salty ice cream, and it was like the first
thing said about it, and then you were literally like, no, no, I.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Wonder what it could be.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
I wonder what it could be with they're putting salt
on things, but the butter salty salt, right, but they're
putting more salt on top, is what I'm saying. I
totally understand. But you also have a full ice cream
underneath it.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
Okay, here, I can't. You're hurting yourself. Yeah, okay, you ready,
don't think so hard. We're all up. I've seen maybe
a little some pumpkin seeds in there. There's just a
hint of maple flavor. It's not overpowering. It's not terrible.
Oh right, there shouldn't it shouldn't be salty? No, I
(08:58):
hate that Two bowls. It almost tastes like a mistake.
Yeah what yeah, bab No, it has a weird and
then it has a weird flavor on top of that. Look,
i'm a big fan of Bob. You know, he's a
good dude. He gave his company to the employees. Yeah,
the whole thing. Good guy. This does not hit the
(09:20):
spot Biff took over.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
If is the one employee that suggested this.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
It has an odd, almost vomicious taste. Yeah, I'm not
a fan of that. That's a word, because you always
make fun of my words. It's a little vomicious. Okay,
I'm giving it. I'm going to give it two balls
and the salty aftertaste. Hey, this is our air conditioning doctor.
If you're not watching this, the camera just flipped upside.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
That's the ghost of Bob, he said, don't talk about
my cereals.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
Yeah, I'm so sorry, Bob. Oh, and now it's moving again.
That's fine, it's gonna fall again. Okay, you know what,
I'm sorry. I'm downgrading at one one bowl in a
spoon because it has some weird vomit thing.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
Yeah, altiness is not good. It's it's actively bad. So
I'm giving this two balls.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
Okay, thank you, let's uh, let's regroup here and.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
I'm gonna fix the camera because it's gonna fall again.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
Oh this is your mom. We'll take a break forro
back after this. I'm sorry, and we're back. Yah. Yeah,
you know what I had to do. I had to
clip it to the back of the computer. That's probably
the way it should be. Yeah, all right, so here's
(10:30):
we're back. And uh Andrew, Wait, did Diamond like the cereal? No? No, no,
she didn't know we were recording. Oh she left. She's
angry here. So you brought this bag in? Yeah, well,
what's going on in there?
Speaker 1 (10:40):
This is where I put my clothes after I did
spin class.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
Ew just kidding, ha ha ha.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
Anyway, so I was in the target in Pasa because
I had to charge my car. There was a guy
walking around with no shoes. Wait, charge your card your car?
Speaker 2 (10:55):
Yeah? Was it New Jersey? Yes? Okay, just don't want
to let people know.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
Great, So it was in pasaic I had to charge
my car and I walked into this target. I may
have cut the whole line of electric cars. I got
really scared. I ran out of my car. Anyway, I'm
in the target. So then I see I'm in the
cereal aisle. And then this man walks by and he's
not wearing shoes and he's talking to himself. So I said, oh, oh,
I gotta leave the cereal aisle. So then I waited
for him to leave, and then went back just to
(11:19):
double check on Serial KILLERSPC dot com. But I found
these two cereals both. Oh I found this cereal your favorite?
I just picked this one right. It's Kodiak.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
That's the protein cookie butter granola, that's the protein one. Yes,
I just saw a story about protein on CBS Sunday
Morning or whatever, like it's not always, not always, what
are you doing?
Speaker 1 (11:41):
I'm doing the tap test that as the influencers too.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
So I've had Kodiak waffles, they make the protein waffles.
I've had the pancake mix they have. They have the mix,
and so now apparently they have gotten into the granola game.
Oh okay, so protein packed cookie butter granola. See.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
I think about the show, and I even went back
into that aisle. I waited, I patrolled.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
I don't know if you think about it as much
as I do, but I give you some credit, like
I actively will go to stores searching. Like my Saturday
night last week, I was at Target, I was at Walmart,
and I was at Stu Leonard's, and that's where I
found what. Yeah, you should be clapping. That's wow. That's
the only way the show succeeds. He has to overdo
what I brought in. I'm not overdoing it. I'm just
(12:24):
letting you know that I'm always thinking. Great. So there
are some big old pieces in here, and there are
some little, tiny little pieces. It looks like granola and
some oats things. It smells like a cookie. Ooh, it
smells delicious. It smells good, but you know, oh, it
smells cinnamony, cinnamony. Will it the taste test? Andrew, I
don't know. Here you go, thank you. Maybe a few
(12:45):
coconut flakes in there? Is that possible? I don't think so.
Where it says made with coconut oil. Oh, so maybe
you're oh, something just fell off the milk container. A crusty.
It was a crusty, great delicious, all right, Andrew, Well
you say whole milk. By the way, just in case
you didn't know, it's the holiday season. Nobody cares y
we should be using eggnog. Oh wait, no, I did
(13:06):
love Farmland Fresh Daies eggnog. I did maybe next week one.
Two things very crunchy. There's extremely crunchy. Is that the
protein or is that just it quenchy protein. I taste
a lot of cinnamon. I think just solicious. It's pretty
(13:28):
good at I don't really get the cookie butter aspect. Yeah,
it tastes more like a flat It tastes like a snickerdoodle. No,
I'm getting snickerdoodle vibes. I'm getting cinnamon, tol crunch.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Impossible, codiac everything I know. For me, it tastes like
a cinnamon told crunch thing.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Okay, and I like that. I don't like how crunchy
it is.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
And also they do something different with their granola.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
It's like pebbles, like a.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Little No, no, that's post yeah, anyway, it's like little circles.
I don't get it. The granola is weirdly shaped. I'm
gonna give this four bowls and a spoon. Yeah, four balls.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
You said. I thought you were gonna get like a
bowl out of that the way you were speaking. No,
it's delicious.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
I think the flavor is there. And to know that
there's protein in this. I mean, I don't know what
I'm gonna do. I'm not gonna go eat this and
then go to the gym. I think you should do
like a push up. No, what do they call those?
Speaker 2 (14:14):
The man thing? Iron man? Yeah? That okay, go do
one of those. I do love the UPC code though.
I mean, it's a bear. No, it's fun. You know,
it's bear season and Jersey. I'm sure I should get
up there. Yeah, for sure, go hunt with you. I've
never hunted. I don't know what to do, and you're
looking a little bear like yourselfies. I'm gonna give it.
(14:38):
Three balls and a spoon. It's pretty three balls and
a spoon, it's pretty good. Its pretty good. I'm gonna
let us sit in the milk for a little bit
and soften.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
You're getting a weird South Jersey accent.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
Now I don't know. I don't it's it's West Jersey.
Oh that's even weirder. Yeah. Yeah, three balls in a spoon.
Pretty good. Kodiak, say what it is for Carla Murray?
Speaker 1 (14:54):
Please Kodiak protein pack cookie butter Granola.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
Anthony would actually love this.

good Honka cereal. They need to come out with a
serial of stars and manoas fine, maybe a little orange
(16:00):
light bulb marshmallows. Great, let's do it, okay, see Crunch
and Garage. Wow, it was a good one. Scott
