(00:22):
or wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts Labeled Fires
created in partnership with our friends at Zico Coconut Water,
who believe What's inside is everything for what would you
talk about on your on your podcast? Firm ram perssst

(00:43):
fifteen minute morning show? What would you do if you
had fifteen minutes and a podcast? I'm sorry, where's the
Daniel button? What would you do? Take a nappy? No
nap needed? So you had a little tequila this morning?
You want a napp? Me? I'm ready to go. That's
my problem. That's my problem. Once I have a cocktail,
I'm like ready to have a cocktail. Oh yeah, you're ready,

(01:04):
So you're gonna drink all the rest of the day, Like,
do you have to keep it going? No, I'm having
We're having lunch with Cord if you want to come
with us. I wish I could come with us a
quick lunch and then he has to go catch a plane,
thank god, and I'm going home to take a nap
and feed the dog. But anyway, what a great show today.
I had a good time. But I'm getting can we
just be honest, please, I'm getting the feeling that those

(01:26):
who were not drinking tequila thought today's show was a
little out of hand. Nate, straight, Nate, do you care
to uh elaborate? Elaborate Here'll be honest. I mean you
you I feel like you felt you had a great show. Okay, alright,
so I thought it was great. I mean Cord got

(01:46):
way drunker than you did. Cord was slurring his word.
You know that drunk Christmas song that we always played
that lady that was cored By the end of the thing,
I'm like, did you see him drop his glasses? And
by the way, when he left here. I love Cord.
He was one of my favorite guests we've ever heard.
I had to go to his assistant and I said,
he's guy is down because he went to the bathroom

(02:07):
and didn't. Every girl got mad at you for saying that.
For the guy, I'm looking out just to prove that
he had a little too much to drink. So you
guys were all taking pictures. You were like twenty ft
outside the studio, and I was alone in the studio
with a very expensive bottle of tequila. So I thought, well,
I didn't have any when you guys were slushing it
up on the air, we watched you. Yeah, so I
was like, I'll just have a little sip to see

(02:28):
what it tastes because it's expensive tequila. And I pour
a little bit into a cup and i'm I'm I
don't want to I I don't drink much. And he comes
running in. You can't drink alone. Okay, that's the funny thing.
We were on the other side of the glass and
he said, look, Brody is pouring himself a tequila And
I looked in here and I've never seen anything quite
like that. It was very unusual. But he really doesn't drink.

(02:50):
Brody was pouring himself a shot of tequila. I don't drink,
but it was expensive. For free it's good. It's good. Okay.
So I think today's show was good, I mean, but whatever,
I thought so too. But then again, I was a
couple of shots in myself. I do like the idea
of expanding the interview and just being able to be
kind of chill with the person who's in here, and

(03:11):
we were cord Over is very chill, but didn't compare
it to yesterday's interview when our buddy Aaron Carter was here.
That was an emotionally oh yeah, up and down interview,
you know. And there's no there's no doubt that he
is going through something right now. Um and uh, you know,
whether it's stuff that we know about or not, it's

(03:34):
clear that he's struggling with things. And so I was
just really I was really sad for him because I
hate seeing people who are clearly having a hard time.
You know, he's he's newly single, he's really struggling over
the end of that relationship. He was very raw about it,
whatever else might be going on. You know, you just
hope that he's okay. I'm confident he's going to be fine.

(03:54):
Go ahead, Danielle. That's what happened when who was in
here Selena Gomez was in here. I left not the
last time she was in here. The last time she
was here, she was happy. Time before that. I left
here with like a pit in my stomach because off
the air she was telling us how she doesn't trust
anybody anymore in the industry. Has then this. I felt like,
this poor girl is so young for her to feel

(04:16):
this way. It's terrible, I felt. And she's such a
nice person. I really felted. We got really invested. These
people are great people. So back to Aaron Carter, I
will tell you that during the commercial break, one of them,
Bethany starting having started having a one on one conversation
with Aaron, just making sure he was okay right here
in the room full of full of people. And you

(04:38):
were so so incredibly connected with him, and you really,
really really did your best to make him feel good
about what he was going through. And look, you know,
I do feel confident he will be okay. But I
think he's on a journey like we all are, you know.
And that's so crazy about this show we do. You know,
in the old days, we would do a radio show.

(04:58):
Here's another song. All right, let's talk to the artist. Hey,
and then they leave. Now we really get into what
they are all about, and that's a about what fuels
their music, and so we go there well. And there's
something about the way that you conduct your interviews, Elvis,
which is really uh, it's it's it brings it lets

(05:20):
the people who come in here feel really safe because
you never ask them the paparazzi questions. You never ask like,
so you're sleep in with Justin Bieber, like you just
you are very supportive and so we tend to see
these people when their guards are more down. And I
think that that's why we get attached to them, because
they feel safe in this room and I want them

(05:42):
to Yeah, and they should because we don't want to
we we don't want to be that show that only
creates these relationships so that we can get a headline
and then you know, leave them out to dry with whatever.
Not only not only that you're a good listener, I
mean you actually play off of what they're saying. You
hear what they're saying, and then you ask follow ups
based on that. You don't just have like a sheet
of paper in front of you. I'm sorry, what did

(06:03):
you say? That? The ultimate compliment, But when we go
someplace and Rihanna is not doing interviews, but she'll say, oh,
well wait is Elvis here. I'll talk to Alice and
that's it because she knows she has a safe place
with you. You know who, just who just doesn't care
straight and he's out there. He's emailing people, texting people.

(06:25):
We're doing the show. This is a very important taking
the selfies. I'm not taking self you're taking selfies. No.
I've been listening to everything you say, and I agree.
And we had that discussion this morning that we needed
to address. Uh, Aaron to a certain degree, I think,
and I think you were right on that, and uh,
it pained me to see someone going through this, and uh,

(06:47):
I was confused. And I can only imagine our listeners
felt the same way about what was happening on our
show because I felt that way too. And I've been
doing this for twenty years. I haven't ever experienced anything
like that, you know what, Just just to give you
a little insight into what this guy is going through.
People beat the ship out of him on social media.

(07:08):
I mean they they whip him like he's some sort
of whipping boy. And God, no one should have to
go through that, and you see it with him in
the most extreme of cases. So after a while, he
loves interacting with his fans, He's going to see a
lot of this negative stuff coming through as well, and
he has to deal with it. He has to process that,
and after a while, it just chips away at you.

(07:29):
And yesterday he actually got rid of Instagram, he got
rid of Twitter for a while, and then came back
later on and said, you know what, I'm not going
to let them win. I'm not gonna let the haters win.
And then but I mean, the things that people were
saying to him, I just don't even like, how could
you feel good about yourself as a person to go
after somebody who you know is in a vulnerable position

(07:50):
right now. I was talking to somebody who saw him
after we saw him um, and he said that he
you could tell he was down, Like after he was
on our show, he saw a lot of comments he
was really down. People shouldn't leave our show feeling down, right,
And and then as he was leaving my friend's business,
my friend's office, he was on a phone call with

(08:12):
someone who was clearly building him back up again. And
I think that's when then he reactivated in social media,
and it's like, I just, I just, I'm really sad
that anybody, whether you're Aaron Carter or whether you are
a thirteen year old girl in you know, as a
freshman in high school, has to go through that and
see those things being said about you, or even worse,

(08:33):
those things being said about you when you're not even
aware they're being said. You know, people are talking about you.
It's just the worst. It's the worst feeling. Hey, we
didn't even talk about I haven't talked to you guys
about yesterday's fifteen minute morning show podcast because I had
to go do the NBC thing. What was it about
what you guys talk about Disney Disney? Oh yeah, because
well here's how it started. I said that, say you

(08:54):
name your kid award like bitch, but that's the name
you give your child legally, does the school have to
call your kid bitch? I mean, is that like, there's
that or is it no, that's because my sister's pregnant.
I'm sorry, I forgot. We were discussing, you know, like
names so that you know, and then we started talking
about Disney names because she loves Disney, and everybody said,

(09:15):
I wish I could have been here for this, and
it was what was the answer. The answer was, well,
most of us thought that no one was going to
name their kid bitch, but we thought maybe they would
have to, right, yeah, And then it ended with five
minutes of dirty Disney, dirty Disney jokes and I and
I predicted that her sister is going to name their
Italian kid one of the same three names that they

(09:38):
keep using in that family, and Christopher Joseph Michael Michael
Knock Joseph will be the middle name, so we have, right,
that's the dad's name, so it makes sense. Hey, look
at this. You're so busy. Why are you shopping for shoes?
What do we talk? What you're talking right now? You talk?
You did a recap? Why are you demanded looking at

(10:03):
I was looking at a closed the window. I'll show you.
Hang on, I'm looking at a jif of a dog
and a kitty. We're doing a morning show podcast. Oh
my god, that's so cute and hashtag tequila. You know what.
I'm sorry, ahead, go for it. I read an article

(10:23):
this morning about you know how sometimes you feel so
like when you see something so cute, you just want
to eat it. Or you want to squeeze it, or
you want to like kill it. I read an article
about why we feel that way. There are certain um
theories about why that is. They say that one of
the theories is that when you feel such an extreme emotion,
like extreme excitement, your body tries to regulate that emotion

(10:47):
by feeling an opposite emotion. So that's why it's so
cute you want to kill it? Or because don't you
ever see something like so like a puppy, like a baby.
I just want to rip your God, you guys don't
ever hear that. I gotta be honest, I've never were
you on that serial killer website again that you like,
I'm not the only one who feels this way. No, No,
the restaurant jail, my mom was like, oh my god,

(11:07):
I could just eat you. To my Nie, your mom's
not gonna eat. But that's the soute. That's okay. So
I grabbed straight Nates laptop just to see the picture
of the dollar. But now I'm looking at this email
about me doing a commercial for some people between you

(11:27):
and you and Ronnie Scalzo. Yeah, what did you write?
You know he's gonna throw a diva? What did you
write we're going back and forth about this. It's interesting.
I never it's have you ever seen an email string
about you? But you're not included on Yes, I've had
them forwarded to me where they didn't realize that they

(11:48):
discussed me all on the bottom of the email. I'm like, hey, asshole,
could you'll read the trail before you send it over?
You know what? I do have to give name credit
because Nate forwarded me an email with a request. I
know it was Brody Brodie did this? Sorry Brody. I
afforded Brodie something just violent. I was just like, these
m ffors can't get their s straight and need to

(12:10):
blah blah blah blah blah. You can say motherfucker's and
ship to the client in general. But erased all of
my comments below it, and I really appreciate. I was
originally a victim of this um. Somebody uh an account executive,
said hey, scary, we're so excited to have you on
board to represent this client. And then I saw all
the emails proceeding that from the client to other people

(12:34):
where I was the fourth choice because everybody else turned
all passed on it. I'll pass, I'll passam Pax No
it out so Scary did Scary Scary did the campaign
for Huggies diapers. Yes, in hindsight, you did a great job,

(12:58):
thank you. I I showed up to the store, I
did diaper races with the kids. Nobody was more piste
off than Gregg about that one, because Great Tea has
kids that were Huggies and you have no kids, right,
I mean your dates were Huggies. Maybe that's what they
were going for. I don't know. I don't think so.
But the thing is, you got it. You did a
great job for them. Thank you. But it was kind

(13:20):
of funny that Scary got the Huggies the Little Movers campaign.
It was the little snow the Little Snugglers. That's what
they called his girlfriend, the little Snuggler, Bethany. Yeah, come on,
let's get married and have a child and let's buy
some little Snugglers. I mean, that's how we got here
in the first place. Hey, we recapped a couple of

(13:40):
minutes ago talking about our guests yesterday, Aaron Carter. Can
we talk about today's guest, court Over Street. Yes. Absolutely.
One thing I like best about him besides the fact
he's good looking, funny, talented, impressions, sings, dances, all of that.
Great guy. He's the guy that does the over the
shoulder look around the room and then tells you what
he shouldn't tell you everything you asked him. He did.
They like, is there someone sitting behind me? The robot me.
He's like, hey, uh, what did you hear about that celebrity?

(14:04):
He looks to the left. Okay, I shouldn't tell you this,
but and he told us everything off the air that
was so great about major celebrities. And it will remain.
I'm not gonna Scary Mat tweet about it, but I'm
not going to He's a great guy. Sometimes we have
a guest come in and we do a little shot
or two with him and we have fun and we
really really get to know some people. And it's even

(14:26):
without shots. And we we've met some great, great artists
here that we didn't get drunk with. And you know,
there were some really great people in this world that
we work in. Maybe we just connect with, you know.
And And the night that I met cord Over Street
was at that party in Vegas at the Heart Radio
Music Festival a year ago. We talked for over an
hour just about music and this and that, and it
was he's just a great guy. He really is. He's

(14:47):
too great, he's too talented. Let's let's have him kill No,
he's like Ansel L. Gore two point. He was still
good in Baby Drying. Talk about that. Okay, I didn't
know who answer it is except we l go. We
made fun of Escort. We kept making fun of his name.
I don't know who he was really. And I saw
a baby driver and he's in this movie with Jon

(15:10):
Hamm and Kevin Spacey and uh Jamie Fox. And he
steals the show. He dances, he acts, he's cool. Hey,
he blew me away. He's my new guy. He's supposed
to be on the show very soon. Oh dear God,
