Speaker 1 (00:01):
Get your hands together, and we're gonna start to party.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
And I'm reading a party.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
The Elvis Duran After Party.

Speaker 4 (00:14):
It's the after Party Podcast. Okay, so Scotty Bee's out
of town, but in the Scotty Bee seat is Garrett,
Hi Garrett, and there's uh Gandhi and Oh Scary, and
there's Daniello and straight Nate. Let's start with Let's start

(00:35):
with Taylor Swift. Now, I gotta tell you something. Taylor Swift.
You know, she came on strong during the Aras tour
and leading up to the Aras tour and after Aeros tour.
And there were a couple of people on our show
that thought it was just too much Taylor all the time,
uh Me being one of Nate being one of them,
very vocal about that. But I was excited about how

(00:58):
much enthusiasm she sparked in all of her fans, and
people go into her shows stories that like dad's taking
their daughters to a Taylor Swift show. There were so
many different stories. I thought it was a great story,
but you just had too much.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
I had too much.

Speaker 5 (01:12):
It was every day. It was a story about leaving
a tip for someone and it's changing their life. For
the next day, you know, some Easter egg on an album,
and it was every day, And I likened it to
a room, a gymnasium full of people, a typewriters just
coming up with stories and like.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Oh I got one, Yeah, there we go, Thursday story.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
There was a story released every day.

Speaker 5 (01:35):
But the realization I had yesterday in seeing the massive
amount of people online watching the podcast and the number
of likes she was getting on her post. In twenty
years or even now, you could arguably say Michael Jackson,
Elvis Presley, Taylor Swift, Beatles and beatles like that. In

(01:58):
twenty five years, you will look back and say that
was you know, she was one of the top five
musical artists of all time. So I've got to not
be a hater.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
Well, you can still choose not to be a fan. Yeah,
well listen, but being a hater's a different thing. I
just I guess I appreciate and enjoy a lot of
her music. I just don't make it my entire personality.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Yeah, I think that's kind of what irritates me about
the whole thing. I totally get people. She changes people's lives.
Like the people who are her fans, they will tell
you that Taylor Swift's albums got them through the hardest
times of their life and they relate so much. And
I totally get that, and it's important. I just think
that what Nate said, making it your whole identity and
then forcing it onto everyone else in every aspect, it
gets to be a little much. But I get the

(02:46):
Taylor Slift love.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
I do.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Well, thank you for admitting that you've come to this realization.

Speaker 5 (02:50):
I'm a big man.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
I could admit that in that way. What does that mean?
Why is it always go back to your penis.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Been vocal about that too.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
You have very much solf. All right, Well, thanks for
saying that, you know, but look, in our business we
should celebrate and applaud anyone who sparks that much interest enthusiast.
That was my realization.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Pop culture phenomenal. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (03:14):
I mean I went to go see her on the
Ears tour and it was one of the greatest shows
I've ever seen. But you were by yourself, And you
know what, I'll go see her again and I'll pay
top dollars like I did last time.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
I don't care how much did you pay?

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (03:27):
You really want to know?

Speaker 6 (03:28):
Yes, face value nine. I was like nine hundred dollars
a ticket. That's and that was face value I got
that was the inside sales track. Craziness. But anyway, honestly,
she's got such a catalog, she's such a big part
of everything that we do.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
I embrace her music. I love her music.

Speaker 6 (03:45):
And you know, there's some songs that I'm not whatever,
but I'm I'm a fan all the way.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Okay, I'm a swiftye Danielle Swifty.

Speaker 7 (03:51):
I'm good with her. I mean, I've got no problems
with her. I'm not like. I think she's the type
of person who she has so many songs that you
don't even realize you Like, like like Scary said, you'll
go to the concert and you'll be like, oh my gosh,
there's that song.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Oh I forgot about that song.

Speaker 7 (04:04):
Like that's the type of emotion she evokes in people too.
And like Gandhi said, she changes people's lives.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Garrett, you're big.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Fan, big swift, ye, And especially now where my daughter
is of age, where she is like all things Taylor Swift.
So I get to experience what we saw like on
social media of like dad's taking their daughters and dancing
and so I'm excited for that era of mind.

Speaker 7 (04:25):
Are you gonna go dressed up to the concert?

Speaker 2 (04:27):
I will if she wants me to.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
I love that, Gandhi. Yes, Tatlor Swift fan.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
I'm not a Tailor Slift fan, but I'm not a
Tailor slif tater. I'm happy that she brings happiness to everyone, but.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
There are some people who they just really reb it
up when it comes to hating.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
I don't have any reason to hate her either.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
Like her.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
You know what I loved about the podcast though, yesterday
she leaned into the fact of all the guys that, like, oh,
Taylor Swifts ruined football. She goes, I know you come
to a sports podcast and you want to hear from me,
and so, like she she knows that people out there
are just like ragging on her for no reason.

Speaker 7 (04:59):
I think they're so cute though, I think Tyler Travis
are so cute, and he's cute.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
He is cute, genuine.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
Okay, let's talk about couples. Let's talk about the couple
that you're a part of, Danielle, you and Sheldon, Yes,
of course, uh gone to you and Brandon and Scary.
Scary is in a relationship with himself with Robin, who
we love, and you can think back to your days
when you're in a couple. Nate and me, Alex, what's

(05:27):
that little stupid frigging thing you're fighting about right now?
Our thing is replacing towilet paper on the twitlet paper roll.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
My spending on things he doesn't think I need.

Speaker 7 (05:41):
Right, But that's always a thing.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
It's my money. I make my own money. I can
spend how I want.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
I'm okay.

Speaker 7 (05:48):
Are the scissors we are holding a pair? Nown Oh,
there's a note in the drawer where the scissors go.
So I keep putting the scissors in the front of
the drawer. The scissors are supposed to go on this side.
We always put in there. There was a note in
the drawer the other day that says, why are you
putting the scissors over here? They don't go here?

Speaker 2 (06:09):
A note in the drawer.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
Why do they be on the song?

Speaker 3 (06:11):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (06:12):
He insists that that's where they're supposed to go, That's
where they've always been. All of a sudden, I'm putting
them in a different place, so I had to have
a note put in there.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
So this is an argument. Oh yes, this is as placement.

Speaker 7 (06:22):
Oh yeah, uh huh, because I'll purposely now put him
in the other place to go.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
You know how it works.

Speaker 7 (06:28):
Come on, you all know how it.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
Works over scissors. Yes, So this is my point, these
stupid little arguments. There's never really any any fixing of
these things. It just circles the drain and never stops.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
What about you and Brandon, Oh my god, we're currently
beefing a little bit about vacation. Where what do you
wear on vacation?

Speaker 4 (06:48):
You do have a complaint from time to time about
his shoes at the beach.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
Stuff like that at the beach is insane. It's insane.
Why would you ever wear a sand trap to the
beach and then complain about their being sands Well, you
didn't have to wear sneakers and then the sandals and socks.
Not a fan, So I document it when we're on vacation.
But the bigger one is I like to get cute
and like have pun on vacation. I look nice. He
is very like urban streetwear, which is fine. I love

(07:13):
that look. Not if we're going to a nice dinner.
So I'll say, I just need you to have something
that not matches my outfit, but it looks like we're
going to the same place. Otherwise I'm gonna have to
leave you out of the pictures because it just looks
like I found some like dude on the side of
the stream, was like, hey, you want to go with
me somewhere? That drives me nuts. I just like we
need to be on the same level of things, and
that means every now and then, like I'll people I'm

(07:34):
on vacation. That's fine, but like, can we look like
we're going to the same party.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
Is there any resolution to this coming up?

Speaker 3 (07:39):
I think so.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
How does he respond when you talk to him about
this stuff?

Speaker 3 (07:43):
It's always what are you talking about? I'm like, oh,
I don't know. I'm wearing a dress and you're wearing
shorts and sneak.

Speaker 4 (07:50):
Well, this is how I dress.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
I'm on vacation, dude. I'm like, you wear all the time.
It doesn't matter if you're on vacation. Just like jazz
it up.

Speaker 7 (07:56):
To side always they dress your shorts. Just do some
dressier shorts.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
Go to the box set, just like do something, Yeah,
get a set everywhere?

Speaker 4 (08:03):
He sets a lot late, very sexy. What about you?
Scary you and Robin.

Speaker 6 (08:08):
Well, we're in the middle of the summer here, so
this is a very contentious time of year for my
girlfriend and me, and that is because I happen to
have a convertible and I want to enjoy said convertible
by having the top down. Every time she gets in
my car, she insists on having the top up. It's
gonna ruin my hair, and I'm like, it's a Sunday morning.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
Put your hair back, twist it up, time, rubber band whatever.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
So this is an argument.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
It's it's a real argument.

Speaker 6 (08:36):
So now I'm frustrated because I cannot use the convertible.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
I love open air. I love it. It's it's it's
this one thing.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
But you hang out with her one day a week, right, Okay.

Speaker 6 (08:50):
But the thing is, every time she gets in my car,
she goes, no, no top down, top up, and I'm like,
it's a beautiful seventy see both sides on.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
This, Okay, it's a problem. Having been in Scary's car
with hair that even when I put my hair up.
He We've taken video because it's so funny. Even when
I put my hair up, it whips around and blinds me.
It gets stuck in my earring, Like it is crazy.
The wind that that thing picks up is crazy. He
doesn't have hair, so it just blows right through like
it's not a big deal. So I see where she's
coming from.

Speaker 6 (09:20):
You don't have a win on your on your convertible, No,
I probably should get one of those.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
She's gonna still.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Complain its violent wind, violent wind. Can't she drive?

Speaker 2 (09:31):
She doesn't esn't have a license. Now she doesn't have
a she doesn't have a car, she doesn't have a license.
I didn't know that. She never learned. She never learned
to drive. She lives in the city in Brooklyn. There
you go. But yeah, but you see, it's silly.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
You had two other problems.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
They're a little they're a little larger.

Speaker 6 (09:49):
Well, one of them is is her, you know, procrastinating
and never getting ready on time.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
But that's obvious, forget it.

Speaker 6 (09:55):
But the third one is about me trying to ask
her to take a half a day at work so
she can catch her flight, which we're going on for
our summer vacation to Taramina, Italy. And she does She's like,
I don't want to ask my boss and this and that.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
I'm like, you've got to there's one direct flight that
takes you there.

Speaker 4 (10:12):
You must so I mean she should want to do that.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
She does want to, but she's afraid.

Speaker 6 (10:17):
And I'm trying to like push her into like sending
that note so she could take the half a day.
She says, well, if the half a day becomes a
full day, and now I gotta take another full day off,
which I just started this job.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
But anyway, I love you, Robin.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
I love to hear.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
Oh, she's got ten times more than.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
Let's have her on some day we should let alone.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
I'm in Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
Around Festivus, we can have an airing of the grievances.

Speaker 4 (10:44):
So what about your house, Garrett.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
My wife wants me to wear a bib.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
When I shave.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
The beard. Particles in this thing.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Yeah, I don't clean up it well enough when I
shave my face that there's little hairs all over the sink.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
So she went out and she bought me a bib.

Speaker 5 (11:03):
Yeah, that stuff's like spackle and gets in the sink.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
And that bib, it's not like a bib. It's like
it wraps around your neck and then it attaches so
it looks like like it looks like a cape like
a reverse cape that I have to wear.

Speaker 6 (11:15):
Saving the shower, dude, So then she has to clean
the shower and that gets everywhere in the shower.

Speaker 4 (11:22):
So that's but that's a big argument.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
That's the big argument.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
And the other one too is the if I put
something I come home with, like you know, my jar
from from breakfast, I put it in the sink knowing
that I will eventually get it to the dishwasher within
like you know, an hour or two time period has
to go immediately into the dishwasher. What's the point of
having a sink if we should just own a dishwasher.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
It's a place where you can wrench things. Well, yes,
but but the holder of it we have this fight too.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
But yeah, so uh so bibs and sinks.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
Well, see, Alex's stuff rarely makes it to the sink.
He'll he'll leave it up. Alex is this other thing.
Can I just bitch and moan about this?

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Do it?

Speaker 4 (12:01):
And I've told you this before. I living with Alex
is like just picking up after a toddler.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
All the time.

Speaker 4 (12:08):
He'll go, you know what I'm gonna go If I'm
gonna I need to change the battery on that smoke
detector because it's beeping. Okay, he'll take his screwdriver out,
he'll take the batteries out, open the battery package. He'll
take the thing down, change the battery, put it back up. Well,
the battery package is still out, the screwdriver is still out,
boxes are open, it's sitting around. He doesn't clean up

(12:29):
after himself.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Oh you do live with my kids, I think the thing.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
Oh yeah, never ever, ever does he pick up after himself.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
Ever, Well, what happened if you didn't do it? Would
the house just become a disaster?

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (12:40):
Yeah, Well it's a disaster enough. It's it's me and dogs,
and that's just It's just if you can start a project,
finishing the project is putting things away. Yes, that's the
completion of the project. And then I'll say something and
he'll bite my head off.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
What is it?

Speaker 3 (12:56):
Thanks a lot, mom, exactly.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
Stupid little things.

Speaker 7 (13:01):
It's always the stupid stuff when my kids leave, like
the dishes in the sink instead of just renting them off,
putting them in the dishwasher, or you know, one kid's
better than the other. Let's not throw anybody under the bus.
But anyway, as I'm doing it. I'm saying in my head,
you're going to miss this one day, You're going to
miss this.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Oh, you're going to.

Speaker 7 (13:20):
Miss this as I keep doing it so that I
don't piss myself off more than I already am.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
What about you?

Speaker 4 (13:26):
What do you miss most about a little small arguments?

Speaker 1 (13:31):
Y'all?

Speaker 5 (13:31):
I'm so happy I'm seeing.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
I get it all right, We're done, have a beautiful day.
Thanks for listening or watching this podcast.
