Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's time to go around the room with Elvis Duran
in the Morning show.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Okay, what is on your mind other than free stuff
from Uncle Elvis? Come on, I'm not your sugar daddy,
am I. I'm not getting anything in return.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
Just love. That's all I want, is Nate. We'll start
with you. What's on your mind today? Okay.
Speaker 4 (00:21):
So we all love to know that when someone passes,
they're still with us, right, yeah.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (00:27):
So my neighbor John was telling me a story the
other day. One of his good friends, Paul, passed away
at the beginning of the year. They have known each
other for years and they would always spend some time
sitting on the porch having bod martinis and drinking cigars. Well,
he passed away. They had his funeral and it was
very sad to see him go. But he was having
dinner with his wife a couple of days ago and
(00:48):
they're sitting there and they order drinks, and the drinks
come to the table, and you know, his wife gets
a drink, he gets a drink, and then the waiter
is standing there, Okay, who had the kettle martini with
three olives? And they're like, nobody here ordered it? And
the waiter goes. I heard somebody say a kettle martini
with three olives. Well, why, I got a goose, best
(01:11):
friend Paul's favorite drink.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
That is awesome.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
And so they they're like, wait a minute. They looked
up Paul, we're thinking about you. So how crazy is
that when somebody passes, they will send you a sign
And that was in the form of a kettle martini
with three olives.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
Well, I hope it didn't go to waste.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
Did for me? I don't.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
I didn't ask that, I didn't split to check. Yeah,
that is incredible. I got big, old, big old goosebumps when.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
You told that.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
That was pretty cool. All right, They're always with us. Hey, Froggy,
what's up with you?
Speaker 5 (01:47):
So my dog is smarter than I am. That's not
saying much, but uh, he's on something. He's got some
skin thing going on. So we had to give him
some pills. So last night I gave him a pill,
and I know I put it in his mouth and
I thought it went down his throat. This morning, I
get a picture from Lisa. There's a pill on the
little love sack that he lays on. He literally put
(02:08):
it in his mouth. Walked away somewhere else and spit
it out and then went on about his way. You
got in front of me, little genius, rode over to
the side and spit it out. He's smarter than I am.
Uh huh, I got your number a little rocky. Don't
you worry, buddy. Back to the pill pockets we go.
I was trying to do about him. But he's smarter
than we are, so good for him, he went, But
I'll win tonight. They know what they're doing. They winning.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
It's about winning with your dog. I love that. It is.
What's up with you today, Gandhi.
Speaker 6 (02:35):
I want to encourage everybody to not be embarrassed. If
you're curious about something, go investigate what's going on. I
know you guys think I'm nuts, because you'll find me
under desks and under tables, just like looking at connections
and how things work. I was fascinated. We go every morning, Elvis,
You and I go and get coffee every morning. I
never thought about how that machine worked until it was
(02:56):
acting a little funky the other day.
Speaker 7 (02:57):
So I was like, let me, let me get in
here and see what happened?
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Is that the cold brew machine? Yeah? Have you ever
seen the way it works. It's just a big I
just I see it. How does it work? How did
you open her up? What'd you do? Well?
Speaker 6 (03:08):
I crawled underneath and was staring from the bottom, and
a bunch of people came in and we're like, are
you okay?
Speaker 7 (03:12):
She's not okay? What's going on over here?
Speaker 3 (03:13):
So it's not.
Speaker 7 (03:14):
It stuffs all the water.
Speaker 6 (03:15):
It shoots the water into the bag, and then it
basically squeezes the death out of the bag. And you
can watch it happen if you look from the bottom.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
What It squeezes water into a bag and that cools
it often it what?
Speaker 6 (03:27):
Yeah, so you know the bag you put in? Yeah,
first of all for your cold brew. It cools the water.
Then it fills that bag with water, and then it
squeezes the death out of the bag and all of
the stuff just comes out the bottom of the bag.
Speaker 7 (03:39):
I was so fascinated by it. I made Diamond look today.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
How cool was it?
Speaker 7 (03:43):
Oh my god, she's not even listening.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
It's like those pouches. Those are Sunstree sun pouch. Will
you show me next time I'm there. I need to
see that.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (03:52):
All you have to do is get down on the ground.
It was great.
Speaker 3 (03:54):
I remember when I was growing up.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
I used to take the telephones apart in the house
and we went days without getting calls.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
Because I needed to know. I needed to know how
it worked.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
I would need it because the big, old clunky telephones, right,
I would take them apart, take every wire out, and
we put them back together. It was insane, but it's
great to know how to work that stuff.
Speaker 6 (04:12):
Yeah, take it apart, put it back together if you can.
If not, YouTube it you'll figure it out.
Speaker 7 (04:16):
I love this.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
Absolutely, all right, I'm just show me next time. I
want to see that. Okay, what's some of you scary
you guys.
Speaker 8 (04:22):
I had the pleasure of going to an off Broadway
show yesterday called mind Play, and it's basically a one
man show. This guy Vinie de Ponto, local guy from
west Chester and grew up listening to the show by
the way, and he's like part illusionist, part mentalist. He
was audio audience interactive and it was a lot of fun.
And the crazy thing about it is this only think
about a couple of hundred people in the audience, and
(04:43):
it was very intimate setting, and I'm thinking, like, wow,
there's a lot of these going on around the country
in cities that people live in, and they're largely unknown.
But you should seek those moments out to go to
shows like that and and support those people because it
was a lot of fun. And you know, for the
most part. Uh, people that that go around the you know,
(05:06):
people that that that go to see these shows around
the country, they they are I feel like you're better
off you. You know what I'm saying. You're you're You're
kind of happier. You come out more fulfilled. No, it's
not only about the Broadway show. It's not only about
the headlining Wickeds of the world.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
Go support local theater tonight. I'm very clus you are
going to have an amazing time. Astounded. Will you explained
it to us tomorrow because it's hard to explain what
goes on at all.
Speaker 2 (05:37):

to support all types of theater and shows.
Speaker 3 (05:42):

Speaker 7 (05:44):
All right?
Speaker 1 (05:44):
So I was scrolling Instagram and this popped up about
super Mario and I didn't know this. I mean, I
knew that super Mario was named after a real life person,
but it says he was named after Mario Cigale, who
rented his wear house to Nintendo.
Speaker 7 (06:01):
When Nintendo couldn't.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
Pay the rent, Cigale didn't evictim, but gave them a
second chance to come up with the money. When Nintendo succeeded,
they named their main character after him. About that if
we made any money, I would hope.
Speaker 7 (06:17):
They did, you know, But I mean I had no idea.
I was like, oh my gosh, this is so cool
and interesting.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
I felt like Nate for a moment. Yeah, learning all
these interesting facts.
Speaker 5 (06:25):
Did you know?
Speaker 7 (06:26):
Did you know?
Speaker 3 (06:27):
I love that. See, we didn't know that too. You
told us, uh, every is everyone? Okay? Do we get
everyone in? Okay? I think we did.
