Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's time to go around the room with Elvis Duran
in the morning show. Yeah, we're talking about tomorrow live
from the flight deck of the Intrepid Sea Air and
Space Museum. If you're familiar with the west side of
Manhattan on the Hudson River, you've seen the Intrepid a
million times and you've never been what a tree. We're
gonna take you there tomorrow, and we're gonna urge you

(00:21):
to visit while you're out and about in New York City.
If you're visiting or you live here, whatever, please give
it a chance. Now for tomorrow's show. I think it's
so important to invite any active duty military servicemen and
women veterans military supporters as we kick off Fleet Week.
It's kicking off officially today and we're in a high

(00:43):
Fleet Week mode tomorrow morning. We want you on board
with us. You need to sign up to reserve your spot.
Go to Elvis Duran's show on Instagram. It's posted right
now Elvis Duran Show on Instagram. Again, active duty military
servicemen and women veterans, military so porters. I guess that
could be all of us. Reserve your spot on Instagram

(01:05):
at Elvis Duran's show. You'll see it right there, and
make sure you sign up and get all on in there,
and there you have it. I'm gonna go around the room.
Is everyone ready to say something? Hey? Someone sent a
text in yesterday saying how come Elvis doesn't do us
around the room, And I'm like, well, because I talk
all day, you you hear what's on my mind. So
but today they urged me to do it, So I'm
gonna I'm gonna have my own around the room thoughts

(01:28):
and there you go. But first we'll go to Froggy.
What's on your mind today? Well?

Speaker 2 (01:32):
You know, usually I do food news on Thursdays, but
today I have a special food news that I want
to use as my around the room. Okay, if if
you're graduating, if you are a senior, whether it's in
high school or in college, if you stop by Andy
Krispy Kreme today, it is a diploma they are giving out.
They'll give you a three dozen donuts at Krispy Kreme.

(01:53):
All you have to do is have something either wearing
something you can wear your cap and gown, but something
that says you're a senior, whether it's high school or college.
Can you'll get a free dozen donuts today only participating
Krispy Kremes.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Wow, excellent, another reason to go to Christy's creame. You know,
you know, no one loves krispy Kreme more than our
own straight Nate right right, And he loves all the
different flavors, and he says he would rather them come
up with more of these fun flavors. I'm still I
don't know about you. I'm a purist. I love that
original krispy Kreme. You know what You're right, Elvis. The
original glaze is fantastic.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
But I will say that if you're offering a dozen
original glaze, I will trade that original dozen for just
one krispy Kreme filled donut with chocolate icing. Just one.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
That's all I'm asking for. I don't want a dozen,
I just want one.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
All right.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Well, let's not confuse it everyone. Let's get down to
krispy Kreme and make that happen. If you want to go,
I guess strike outside up front of krispy Kreme. Give
Nate what he wants. You're gonna We're gonna pick it.
We're gonna pick it. We'll go to you, straight Ny,
what's on your mind?

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Today. Okay, do yourself a favor today. Take five minutes
and write down what makes you happy. I took five
minutes yesterday and you just took away my around the room.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Oh really, okay, I'm starting to think, no, no, no,
you have a you have a great, great thing going
go continue.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
So take five minutes and just get a piece of paper.
Write down what makes you happy. Is it reading a book,
is it sitting outside and enjoying birds, is it calling
a friend? Find those things that make you happy and
try to do one of them every single day. But
you've got to identify first. So take five minutes and
just write down those things that make you happy. I

(03:30):
know you're thinking about it right now. Take five minutes
and write them down.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Do you want to? You know, it's exercises like that,
like writing write down things that make you happy, or
in the morning, you know, say to yourself the things
that you're grateful for. A lot of people don't even
try to try that. I mean people poop poop and
go oh, that sounds just like such a tree hugging
you know, new age, It really does work the mind.
Your mind listens to you. As a matter of fact,

(03:54):
there's no one or nothing else in the world that
trusts you more than your brain, So talk to feed
it some good stuff. Uh gandhi, what's on your mind today?

Speaker 5 (04:03):
All right, Well, we just heard from Taylor Latner about
how hard it is sometimes when you're having a great
day and people crap on you, and we all deal
with that here. It happens to us all the time too.
I think everybody needs to do this. I do it myself,
and it might sound crazy, but I'm telling you it'll
make you feel good. You need to create a little
You're doing Great file. That is, if somebody sends you
a nice message, a text message, an email, whatever it is,

(04:24):
take a screenshot of it, put it in a little
folder for yourself so that on the days that maybe
it feels like the world is against you and people
are yelling and screaming, you can go back to this
You're doing Great file, look at it and feel wonderful
about yourself. It might be, you know, a little egotistical,
but every now and then you just need to say, like,
the world doesn't hate me.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
People are very nice. Here. It is the proof here,
it is there, it is, and we live in a
world where sometimes you do need to water your own garden.
So go for it.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Do it.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Get in there. Great job, great idea. Hey, what's up, scattering?

Speaker 6 (04:53):
Well, I didn't know that there was all this pressure
around being going to see it Taller Swift concert pressure.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Yeah, there's a lot of pressure.

Speaker 6 (05:02):
In seeing a show, apparently because I was lucky enough
to get a pair of tickets that I bought the
other day, and the next thing I know, people all
of a sudden first like, you don't deserve to go
to the Tailor show because you're not a true swiftye. Well,
the truth of the matter is this is an event
and I just want to be there for this cool event.
Is there something wrong with that? I do like Taylor's music.
I know Taylor's music and that's not the worst of it, though.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Ell Is.

Speaker 6 (05:23):
Now they're coming at me and say like, well, which
era Tailor you're gonna go? This is the errors tour,
so which which tale you're gonna be? And I'm like,
I don't have to dress up like her. I just
want to go see a show. No, I enjoy the music.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
You're really fair whether you really should dress up like
Taylor Swift for the show if you're a can I
go as one of her ex boyfriends. Will that make
people angry? I don't know.

Speaker 6 (05:44):
I'm just I'm just.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
Saying, here's my question. Who who out there has the
right to tell other people they can go to a
show or not. You know, my friends is like my
daughter's been trying to get tickets they were shut out,
and go enjoy the show. You can be a different
type of fan.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
Yeah, but don't dress like her ex boyfriends.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
Don't dress like anyone but you scarty, And I'm going
to sing along to her hits and the songs that
I don't know. You know, quiet, Okay, let me let
me give you the answer to your question, even though
I don't think you need to ask this question. You
don't owe anyone explanation. I tell you why you deserve
to be at a Taylor Swift show. You have played
every single one of her hits on your show. You
have been a part of her early career, you have

(06:28):
been a part of her current career. You definitely have
just as much reason and whatever to be at a
Taylor Swift show as anyone else. So there you go.
You probably you know what turn the tables? I played
her music? What did you do to help her career.
Nothing out of the show, get out of the scenes.
Only middle aged, overweight DJ's are allowed to go to

(06:50):
these shows. Hey, so producer Sam, what's on your mind today?

Speaker 4 (06:55):
Things might not be as scary as you think they are.
So I've been avoiding taking one of my closest friends
workout classes because she's in crazy shape.

Speaker 7 (07:03):
She posts the videos. It's a dance workout.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
I'm very intimidated watching people execute this class.

Speaker 7 (07:09):
But I couldn't keep kicking the can down the road.
So I did it.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
Yesterday and I actually did a pretty okay job. I
got the choreography, I didn't punch anyone in the face.
That's a win for me. So try something you're curious about.
If it's a little scary, it might not be as
scary as you think when you show.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Up there you go. Amen, Thank you very much. You
always give fagulous advice on your around the rooms.

Speaker 7 (07:29):
Thanks for saying that, because I think I'm crazy.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
Well and you hear that too?

Speaker 7 (07:33):
Cool?

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Cool, All right, here's my around the room Tomorrow. We
will be live on the deck of the Intrepid as
we get into a Memorial Day weekend. Look, you know what,
no one likes war. War is never a great thing,
but war is a part of our country's history. It's
a part of the world's history. It's been around since

(07:54):
long before we were here, and unfortunately, it will be
around long after we're gone. So what good comes out
of war is being able to witness the courage of
the people who serve our country, who have served our country,
who have given their lives serving our country. Also to

(08:14):
the people, you know, cheers to the people who want
to serve our country and are looking for ways to
do it. So, no, war is not a beautiful thing.
But if we have to go to war to do
what we need to do to keep the world spinning,
then we celebrate and we honor those who are in
the military, who have served in the military, or who

(08:36):
lost their lives serving in the military. If you have
anyone in your family who served our country, they could
have served our country here on our own soil, but
they still served with the military. Talk to them. Find
out why they wanted to be a part of it,
or find out why they had to be a part
of it. Find out what their thoughts and feelings were

(08:56):
while they were serving, or why they continue to serve.
You know what. These are stories a lot of military
people don't like to talk about. They like to keep
it inside. They like to and I don't know why.
I mean, they know why, they understand that. But you
know what, let them know that you would. You appreciate them,
and you honor them for what they've done and what

(09:17):
they continue to want to do, and find out what's
on their minds. You know what, I still regret to
this day. I did not sit my father down to
talk more about his time serving in World War Two,
both in Europe and in Japan, and I wish I
would have, and I know I need to think that
he would have loved to open up and share these

(09:39):
stories because that's his history. Right. So there you go,
Memorial Day weekends on the way. Let's not let it
just to be another three day week where we hang
out and get drunk. You know, there's more to it
than that. And I can't wait to be with you guys,
my family at the Intrepid tomorrow. It's gonna be a
great show. And there you have it.
