Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's time to go around the room with Elvis Duran
in the morning show.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Here you go, what are we doing here around the room? Oh,
we have a very special around the room guest today.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Let's go.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Well, we'll start with you, Danielle. What's on your mind today?

Speaker 3 (00:16):
All right?

Speaker 4 (00:16):
So my uber driver who took me to the studio
this morning was so interesting. He needs a reality show.
He has nine kids, okay, and he said that maybe
two of them are his. He said four of them
came in from another relationship, but then the others his
wife cheated on him and he didn't find out till

(00:36):
the kids were older that they weren't biologically his, and
one or two of them are from his best friend.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
It was crazy, the story.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
He was telling me in the car. I was like
what and he's like, yeah, you know, I stuck around
like an idiot for a long time, but you know
now I pay the you know, financial support. You the
nicest guy one he was just telling. I was like,
I said, damn, dude, if you don't get a reality
this is insane. It was crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
So talk to your uber drivers. You never know what
you hook that up. Hook that up.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Now that you're a los Angeles Media.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
Titan resident for one day, hook him up?

Speaker 3 (01:12):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Scary?

Speaker 5 (01:13):
Well, no shade to Broadway shows that still do original
score and original music.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
But there's something to be said about.

Speaker 5 (01:20):
Walking into a Broadway show and singing along with every
song like I did last night at Once Upon A
One More Time the music of Britney Spears. Oh my god,
it was insane. You know, I'm a huge Britney fan.
Loved it, loved every second of it. And it was
about you know, Cinderella, Prince Charming and all the other
storybook princesses. And it was a beautiful show.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
And yeah, so yeah, that's all I wanted to say.
And keep in mind they are, of course, are a partner,
are a partner of ours? Elvis Duran, you got free seats?
Yes I did? There you go. Must be transparent, Hey, Gandhi,
what's going on with you?

Speaker 6 (01:55):
Well, if you see me tripping while I walk today,
there is a very specific reason for that. Sam saw it.
I put on two different shoes.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Here's two different Did you do that on purpose? You
said it was a fashion statement, and I'd be like, oh,
that's so cool.

Speaker 6 (02:13):
I've done that before as a fashion statement. But these
are actually different shoes. I walked out of my apartment
and I was running late to hoping to get my
ride this morning, and I realized, oh damn, because I
walked out of the apartment and I tripped almost immediately,
but I didn't have time to turn around. So I
just said it, we're going to do this today. And
so far nobody has noticed, but I felt like I
had to point it out.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
I love it, Yeah, I love it. So there are
different shoes. Therefore it's a little uneven.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Yeah, it's outrageous.

Speaker 6 (02:38):
I can't believe I did that.

Speaker 7 (02:39):
It's adorable.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
You walk like a toddler.

Speaker 7 (02:40):
Since you pointed it out, I think it.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Looks so cool now you showed it to it. Oh man,
all right, there you go me Gandhi. In fifty five years,
she'll be that crazy lady down the street happening. Now
it's halrdy happening. Hey, produce your sandwich up with you.

Speaker 7 (02:52):
I want to send an extra love to anyone who's
a friend or a partner of somebody and they're changing
their own lifestyle to support that other person. I was
chatting with a guy yesterday and his boyfriend has to
stop drinking. So he decided he's just going to join
him in support, just to be like a really loving
and supportive boyfriend. I just think that is so sweet,
and I really hope that his partner knows what he

(03:13):
has in him, because if William wanted me to give
up drinking for him, I would probably.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Have a harder time with that. Okay, well, there's that.

Speaker 7 (03:18):
It's so nice of him though, right, So.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
It's here for the people who do have heart.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
Better than Sam.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
Same.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Hey, I'm producer Sam, thank you, and producer Nate. Okay,
not from one producer to another.

Speaker 8 (03:30):
H Do I talk about a product I've used and
tried and loved, not a partner of ours. A thermos
cell Do you know what a thermo celle is?

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Tell us?

Speaker 8 (03:36):
So, if you're hiking, if you're going out into mother
nature and you've got mosquitoes, bugs flying around you, you
have this little device. It has a fuel cartridge and
a little thing that it heats up and it emits
this uh magical stuff that keeps bugs away, which I'm unbelievable.
Can we go back to the magical stuff?

Speaker 4 (03:55):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
There's a whole thing.

Speaker 8 (03:57):
It's like a pad that heats up and it disperses
this repellent to bugs. I did not have one mosquito,
one mosquito, one fly, one net buzzing around me.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
It was a miracle.

Speaker 8 (04:07):
If you're out hiking, if you're out doing things in
nature and you've got bugs counting therma, therma cell, therma cell.
Not a partner of ours. You know, they're saying frog,
They're saying Atlanta. Atlanta is the number one city for mosquitoes.
I would walk around with one on my belt constantly.
They're fantastic. Not a partner.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Didn't get it for free. There you go, very clear,
very clear, very nice. Thank you for make sure you
let them know it's a partner. If it's only become one,
let us know, dotty partner. Hey Froggy, what's up with
you today?

Speaker 9 (04:40):
I know we've talked about this before, but in my
forty seven years on this planet, I don't ever recall
a smoke detector battery dying when the sun is out.
For some reason, this is true, and I don't it's
it's mathematically it should be the other way. I don't understand.
Last night, again, I go to bed twelve forty nine

(05:01):
in the morning, boom starts chirping. You got to figure
out which one it is. You gotta get a ladder.
It's just a whole I don't understand mathematically there are
more hours of the sun out than not. How does
it happen every single time?

Speaker 8 (05:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (05:12):
How do it know?

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Right?

Speaker 8 (05:14):
It just knows?

Speaker 2 (05:15):
How do it know? How do it know?

Speaker 9 (05:17):
Ridiculous?

Speaker 2 (05:18):
There you go? Did I get everyone in? I think
we got everyone in. I know we're going to David everybody.
I was going to save David for last. So my
my business partner and one of my best friends, David Katz,
is here joining us on the show today. Hi David, Hello,
Hello hell. I said, hey, just whatever, do you have
anything you want to contribute to the around the Room segment?

(05:39):
And you said absolutely? And so he told us the
story earlier, and I think it's definitely a story worth hearing.
Go right ahead.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Yeah, I appreciate it. And I guess the heading is
what's the universe saying?

Speaker 1 (05:52):
A few months ago, I saw on a high school
Facebook posting that a teacher that we had in high
school had passed away.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
It's very nice, very sad.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
I was reading some of the comments and I saw
a comment from a teacher that I had had Actually
I never had him. I just knew him, and we
were very close in high school and I hadn't seen
him since I graduated. So I texted him or I
instant messaged him, and he responded immediately, and two weeks
later we were sitting down having lunch together, not having
seen each other in forty two years. It was remarkable.

(06:21):
We picked up where we left off. It was just
the most amazing time. I was so excited to have
him back in my life.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
I was giddy.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
And then two weeks later he passed away, and I
have been I mean, his family's been devastated, but I've
been mentally devastated. Why, after all this time to reconnect
and then have him pulled away. I have not been
able to reconcile that except for get up and do

(06:53):
things now, Go see the people you need to go
see now.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Just don't wait.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
That's what It's the only thing I can take away
from this. But it was so uplifting and then immediately heartbreaking.
And I'm just hoping that I can pull the go
do something attitude out of this and keep it for
a while.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
So have you been making a mental list of people
you really want to reach out to and say hi to.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
Well, I did it when we were down in Florida.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
I made special efforts to see a couple of my
childhood friends in and around working down there. I'm going
out to Arizona next week to see a man that
I haven't seen in a while that I just need
to see who is not feeling so well. So I'm
just not going to sit around and wait anymore. That's
the lesson that I'm taking from what happened.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Yeah, sitting around and waiting. What are you waiting for?

Speaker 3 (07:41):
And I've always been good. It's sitting and waiting you are.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
You've mastered it. You have mastered both of them as
I have. That's a very good point, like what are
you waiting for? There's been a lot of talk lately
about procrastination. Procrastination they're saying isn't really what a lot
of people accused it of being laziness. It's not we're
putting things off because of other reasons. Other why you're

(08:09):
procrastinating cleaning your room. Why are you procrastinating reaching out
to a friend. It has to do with being mentally fit,
and it really has nothing to do with I'd just
rather sit on my ass and do nothing. Look it up.
I mean, there's been some stories of late talking about procrastination.
It's it's a much deeper dive into your own mind
and heart and soul than just accusing yourself of just

(08:30):
being lazy. And you know scary, right, you know it's
carry goes home every day and sits on his couch
and he says he rocks.

Speaker 5 (08:40):
But you know what, I'm trying to become a better
person about.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Well, you know what we've noticed. You've been going out more.
You went to a show last night. You're doing stuff.

Speaker 5 (08:46):
I'm doing stuff every night, and I'm trying to go
to vacation in different places than I never had before,
not the same five places that I always end up
that you guys make fun of me for.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
What do you find another Gandhi?

Speaker 6 (08:55):
I mean, it says it can be all kinds of
different things. It can be depression. Maybe you are not
like yourself, you put things off. It can be that
they say you might be a little too optimistic. On
the flip side of that, you think you have more
time to do things. You think you can finish it
in a really short amount of time, and some people,
they say it is just laziness. So there are all
kinds of different reasons why you procrastinate.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
So there you go. You hooked up and met with
a teacher from forty two years ago, and he passed
away with within moments after you saw each other literally now,
so you know what. It's those kicks in the ass.
These are the universe's way of sending as signals, sending
as signs, and so we always ask the question, why

(09:36):
do we wait until we get say cancer, for instance,
and we're told that we have a chance we could live,
and we do live, Why are we not using that
as our foundation for moving forward in an incredibly rich life.
Why do we wait for that when you could just
see the evidence around you that we need to be
living our lives as if each day is our last

(09:59):
lesson learned? M hmm, don't have lunch with David.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
Yourself too soon.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
I thank you for sharing
