Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's time to go around the room with Elvis Duran
in the Morning show, we say it.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
I never ever hold back to admit, my favorite thing
we do on the show is this around the room thing.
I like it because it's like a rapid fire, different
different perspectives on different things and ideas and things to
ponder and just funny story whatever. I love it. But
today's I want to be extra special. I put the
call out there. I said, look, make today's around the
(00:27):
Room segment better than ever, because we're gonna be judging you,
not me as much. But I want people to text
in after it's done and let us know which contribution
contribution you enjoyed the most. All right, all right? Does
this make a little nervous? This is a bad idea.
(00:48):
Oh look at Nate over there. Nate is just convinced.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
Why are you so cock sure?
Speaker 4 (00:52):
Because I got something that's been bugging me for the
last few days. I'm very what you said, you're cocksure.
I'm very cockshore right now.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
Thank god he's gonna be on Friday.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
Okay, I'm sorry. Can we go back? And you just said.
Speaker 5 (01:07):
Scary said it?
Speaker 4 (01:08):
No?
Speaker 2 (01:08):
No, I said you did. Let's just move on. I'm I'm,
I'm really said we should move on. All right, here
we go around the room.
Speaker 5 (01:22):
Points for that. He should be, he should start now,
I should get extra points for that.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
All right, We're gonna start with Daniel. Danielle your first
up around the room. What's on your mind?
Speaker 6 (01:30):
All right?
Speaker 1 (01:31):
Do the thing that you think is silly, even if
you think it's silly, because sometimes it winds up being
the coolest and most fun thing ever. So we told
you on Friday that Froggy was going out to buy
sheets and stuff for Lisa and I do a ghost
photo shoot when we were in Florida, Right, So we
went and we did it, and I'm telling you, the
(01:52):
belly laughter that we had was so much fun. Froggy
cannot deny it. He had a last with us. We
did such inappropriate things with pool noodles in our on
the costumes. Some of them are posted if you go
to Radio Daniel Banaro. I did both the pictures. But
we just had so much fun. So you know what
(02:15):
I did think it was a little silly at first,
I was like, I don't know, I'm so happy I
did it. I did it with one of my besties.
In the whole world, and it was so great.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
So yeah, let me tell you that is a great
submission right there here.
Speaker 5 (02:27):
Thank you very much.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
Thank you. Go be a kid, be a clown. All right,
all right, great job out of the shoot, Danielle. You
oh yeah, daniel all right, froggy around the room.
Speaker 7 (02:37):
What's on your mind? I second that we did really
did have a good time. I did not want to
do it, but mine is more of gratitude and thankfulness.
On Saturday night, I was surrounded by a bunch of
people who mean the world to me and made me
feel really good. And you need to soak these moments
in when they happen too often in life, we look
back and we say, those were the moments. I stopped
(03:00):
multiple times on Saturday and said, take this moment in,
this is the moment, and so do that as many
times as you can in your life, and tell the
people around you how they make you feel.
Speaker 5 (03:13):
So thank you. I love you all. I had a
great time Saturday.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
All right, wonderful submission.
Speaker 5 (03:18):
I know.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Danielle's was all about be silly. Yours is being grateful,
full of thanks. All right, Uh, okay, scary, what's on
your mind today?
Speaker 3 (03:26):
So I just want to know, why is it that
the only time I choose to clean my phone is
when I'm boarding a flight and they give you those
free sanitizing wives. I have this tradition where I go
to my seat and I sit there and I just clean.
I scrub my phone with it. But then I want
to thinking, like we should be cleaning our phones, like
every day.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
I clean my phone every morning. I don't. It's only
if I'm boarding a flight.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
So if I don't, if I if I don't like
travel for two months, my phone is unclean for that
amount of time. I'm just saying, it's kind of weird
that I just wait, I wait for it. I just
wait for the free sanitize it. Why it's kind of
a weird thing.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
I don't know. We should be thinking about this every
minute of our day. The scary submission is clean your
phone every day, every day. Now just when it's actually
great advice, it's good advice. All right, all right, let's
go to let's go to Nate. I'm a little curious
about nate submission. Go ahead, Nate, Let's say what you got, Hey,
(04:24):
show what you got? I got a pet peeve pet.
So you're gonna bitch and moan and Sam got ahead.
I'm gonna give you a suggestion at.
Speaker 5 (04:31):
The end of this.
Speaker 4 (04:31):
So my pet peeve is silent letters. I am very
disgruntled whenever I read something and there's a word with
a silent letter like no with the K or listen
with T, like seriously muscle with a sea, Like why
do we have these things?
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Can we just get rid of them?
Speaker 4 (04:49):
I know it's probably in the words origin that it
was in there, like the silent B and climb.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
We don't need it.
Speaker 5 (04:57):
Why do we have it?
Speaker 2 (04:58):
Can we just get rid of these things? Please?
Speaker 5 (05:01):
You thought that was going to win this submission?
Speaker 4 (05:03):
Yes, because what I'm going to tell you right now
is the next time you have to spell something on
the phone, use silent letters as examples. Like if I
was spelling my last name, I'd say M as in mnemonic,
A is in aisle and just throw the person off
on the other end. Yeah, A is a knife. Seriously,
(05:23):
hectyls worse than scary.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
It's an interesting thought. I just don't know if I know,
I know I agree, but I just don't see how
this this submission is working in the world of competition.
Speaker 5 (05:38):
I haven't flushed this totally out, This isn't fully baked yet.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
But it's a thought. Think about it. Why do I
love that you used the word pterodactyl as an example.
Let's go to Gandhi. Gandhi.
Speaker 6 (05:52):
All right, I just want to remind everybody that.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
There there's an h in Gandhi. It's silent is you're
pishing him off, You're pishing all yeah, anyway, go ahead, don.
Speaker 6 (06:01):
Thee but yeah, yeah, okay, all right.
Speaker 8 (06:04):
So I want to remind everybody that there is a
lot of power in communicating when you say less. Over
the past few months, a lot of my girlfriends have
been sending me emails or communications that they want me
to look over and edit, which I love doing, and
I've noticed the same feedback in all of it. I
say to them, you don't need to say so much.
You don't need to explain yourself or whatever it is
that you are adjusting or changing. You just tell people
(06:25):
I can't do that and let it go. And the
amount of them that come back and say, oh my god, yes,
that is true. There's so much power in saying less.
It saves another person time, It makes your message clear
and concise, and it gives you a little bit of
a bit of mystery around you. So you don't have
to say, hey, I am not going to be at
work because I'm going to my IVF treatment. People don't
(06:46):
need to know all of that, And especially with women
in the workplace, something like that, people might just look
at it and say, oh, that's my Girls can't do
the job the same as boys can. You don't have
to explain yourself, don't over explain, don't overtext.
Speaker 6 (06:57):
Just say what you need to say and move on.
And I promise you there's power in that. Say less.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
I love that. I think that's a great submission. I
think you could have said it less. It's true you
don't owe anyone anything as far as explanation on what
you're doing. Your life is your life, and just own it.
And okay, I'm not going to be in tomorrow. Well
unless someone begs you to tell them why, it's okay,
(07:23):
just don't be in tomorrow, right. I mean, I'll be curious,
But that's that mystery, I wonder, So then I can
use my my mind to come up with all sorts
of stories. But why you're not coming in tomorrow?
Speaker 7 (07:34):
Never know?
Speaker 2 (07:35):
And now our special guest, Scottie B. What is your
submission for a round the room? Good luck? Yeah, well
you know you made easily win this. Just say anything, Okay.
Speaker 9 (07:44):
I want to tell you people with kids, do things
with your kids while they still want to do things
with you, because they truly do grow up so fast.
My older one, Ashley, is in college already, and my
younger one, Cooper, she still likes to hang out with
dad like we do road trips together. And last night
I just stood back and watched her enjoy a concert.
We were standing there and she was at one of
(08:06):
her favorite country artists, Chase Matthew. We were at the
concert and she was going bananas and loving life, and
I just stood back and watched her take in the moment,
and I cried a little bit because it made me
so happy to just see her doing something that she
loved and she was doing it with me. So when
your kids want to do things, take them and go
do I know their pains in the asses, I get it,
(08:26):
but just go do stuff with them because you might
regret it later in life not doing things with your children.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
I love that. You know what, And actually, even if
you're not a parent, on take this a step further.
It's so great to be happy for other people, you know,
to be to stand back and watch your daughter enjoying
this concert so much. You got a tearing ride because
you were happy she was happy. So even if you
don't have kids, it's always great being happy for other
(08:53):
people's happiness. A lot of people haven't figured that out,
you know. I wish I would. I wish there this
was my submission. I would win this thing. I think
I just gave you the most incredible piece of advice.
Be happy for other people. All right, okay, let me
tell you vote now, text us your favorite submission. At
fifty five one hundred, Just so, Danielle talked about hey
(09:14):
be silly, be a kid, go have fun. And it
was a great submission.
Speaker 5 (09:18):
I loved it. Thank you, Thank you.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
Froggy wanted to be a little more serious. Be grateful,
Be thankful for the people in your life and the
moments they bring to you. That was a great let's see,
Scary says clean your phone? What was more than that?
Nate is pissed off at silent letters and poses the question,
(09:41):
why don't you just get rid of silent letters? Gandhi,
is you don't have to over explain yourself. If you
need to do something in life, just say all right,
I'm gon gonna be in tomorrow, or I have to run,
I'll be back a little while. You don't have to
tell them every little detail about what you're up to. Right,
is that the gist of what you said.
Speaker 6 (09:58):
Yeah, there's power in saying say less.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
There's a little mystery there. And finally, Scottie b that
was very touching. Uh, if you have kids, spend as
much time as you can with them until you know
one day they're gonna be gone. You know they're gonna
leave the house and whatever, and yeah, it's true, and
be happy for their happiness. That's cool.
Speaker 6 (10:18):
Scott's was great, but he really eliminated half the audience.
It doesn't have kids. What's your advice for them?
Speaker 9 (10:24):
Parents, Well, hang out with your parents. If you have them,
good job, as annoying as.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
They are, be happy, be happy for other people. If
maybe you don't have kids, maybe you'll be proud of them.
I mean, I think if you as my kids sometimes, yeah,
we act like we act like this. Yes, scary, you
do want to resubmit a new one. This is not
fair because touching always wins. And if I knew it
was going to be that kind of party, because I
(10:49):
would have touched it. Scary. I don't think you should
tell people are going to touch.
Speaker 5 (10:53):
The says the guy who hugs with his telvis.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
All right, people are voting, now, vote now Texas at
fifty five one hundred. I like this. This one texture said,
why is why isn't it always a grumpy ass?
Speaker 6 (11:12):
Why is that?
Speaker 3 (11:12):
Neate?
Speaker 2 (11:13):
I don't know, clumpy you're doing? You do have a
little get off my long.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
Look at all the votes for me Elvis. You can't
discount that my vote for Nate. As an English teacher,
those silent letters make learning difficult.
Speaker 8 (11:27):
I'm looking for Are there a lot of votes for you?
Speaker 2 (11:30):
Yes, I vote for Nate.
Speaker 5 (11:32):
Well there's two. I don't see any You're not so
you're not so cock sure anymore?
Speaker 2 (11:37):
Oh yeah, anyway, But it is a good point, these
stupid silent letters. I kind of wonder, like, what the
hell are we thinking? But I don't know if it's.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Scary scary at scrolling the text to try.
Speaker 5 (11:50):
You can't one vote for him?
Speaker 8 (11:51):
It's okay, it's okay, this is your chance to be
happy for other people.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
Yes, Scott is scary as wasn't just clean your phone
with a lean wife whatever it's He only cleans his
when he has a clean wife. The only time he
says he has clean wipes is when he's traveling in
the airplane. Gives him one. Uh, do you have a
phone called Brady? Oh, Brady, Brady my nineteen? Hey Brady,
what's going on? What up?
Speaker 4 (12:18):
What up?
Speaker 2 (12:18):
Brady? So you actually have a grade? Is it like
a letter grade or a number grade for each submission
in the around the room? Do you want to share
your grading system with us or your grades?
Speaker 4 (12:27):
So?
Speaker 6 (12:27):
I gave everybody an out of ten grades okay, and.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
They were all pretty good, pretty high, are okay? Except
for go ahead? Okay? So so Danielle. I gave Danielle
an eight. I'm okay, pretty high to be selling. Froggy's
was a serious be grateful and thankful for those great
moments in your life.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
And I gave Froggy and eight as well.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
Scary says clean your phone.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
So that's good advice.
Speaker 5 (13:00):
I gave Scary a seven point five taking it.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
Obviously he has nude photos of you or something? All right?
What about uh? Nate who's mad at silent letters in
our world? So so unfortunately Nate got a six. Wasn't
my favorite, it's still above. A five.
Speaker 5 (13:23):
Was lower than scary.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
Okay, okay, okay, what about Gandhi? God to say you
don't want to explain yourself in life, just you know,
be a little mysterious.
Speaker 4 (13:34):
Gandhi.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
I gave a nine because less more than like.
Speaker 6 (13:39):
And Scotty b.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
He was almost the winner, but I gave him an
eight point five.
Speaker 6 (13:47):
All right, that makes me the winner.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
Well for him, I mean we're still taking Yeah. For Brady,
he loves yours the most and that's what's gonna have
a different opinion and the things that touch them more.
And you know when I say touching, I don't mean
like in a dirty way like scary was it? But no, okay,
I like your your I like you thinking this through. Brady,
thank you very much. Of course you're very welcome. He
(14:11):
actually gave you higher than you deserve your events. No,
I love all of you, guys. I love all you guys.
And I thought this was a.
Speaker 5 (14:19):
Great segment because it is my favorite segment.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
And this was a good one today.
Speaker 5 (14:24):
So thank God, I
Speaker 2 (14:25):
Give Brady attend Brady
