It's time to go around the room with Elvis Duran
in the morning show around the room.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
I gotta see what's on your minds today. Jeez, I'm
gonna start with Froggy.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
Froggy. He looks so delicious today. Thank you almost. That's
so nice one. Look at you, look at you all right,
what's on your mind today?
Speaker 3 (00:17):
So yesterday, yesterday was not just Mother's Day for me,
it was also my dad's birthday. And so Kayden and
my son and my dad and I we went to
bass Pro shops and we were trying to my kid's
decided he wants to fish in our backyard. So we
talked to this guy at bass Pro and he knew
every single thing there was to know about fishing. He
asked us the question, he gave his answers, told us
(00:38):
exactly what to do.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Went home.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
Within five casts, Kate had a fish on the line.
I'm telling you, it is so great to go somewhere
talk to somebody and they know exactly what you need.
They tell you, they show you, they do everything.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
It was great.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
This guy at bass Pro, he was the bass pro.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
I love this. It was a real human.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
Had nice conversations with him and he was a really
really good dude.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
It was great. I love a knowledgeable angler, you know what.
And bass pro.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
By the way, there's one out by my house somewhere
on the highway. It's it's like a super city. They
got everything. And if you've never been go look at
the side of that fishy cart.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Oh my god, that was in you.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
That was in your backyard.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Yeah, it's the pond in the yard.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Yep, look at that he was You suld have seen
the one that got away. All right, that's a great
around the room, Danielle, what's on your mind?
Speaker 4 (01:35):
So my son that has turned into gandhy, my oldest spencer.
He tried to save a raccoon the other day. So
this tiny baby raccoon was like underneath the car and shaking,
and he saw it and he was just like, oh
my gosh, mom, we have to do something. So this
is before he went back to the UK. So he
he gets over there and he puts food down and
the raccoon came out, started sniffing the food, started nibbling
(01:59):
with eating right, and then the raccoon got scared ran
up a tree and then you could tell didn't know
what the heck to do, like, what do I do now?
Finally came back down. There he is with my husband
with a blanket waiting for this raccoon to fall off
the tree so they could catch it in the blanket. Yeah,
and then put it back down. So eventually raccoon came
out on its own, and I think the mom finally
(02:20):
came back for it. But he was not leaving until
this raccoon was taken care of, and then he knew
that raccoon was going to be Okay.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
So it is a Gandhi thing and a producer Sam thing.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
Yes, totally. So I was like, it's taken that thing home.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
You can have a raccoon you cannot know.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
I mean, we didn't take him home.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
That says a lot about your son. He speaks volumes
about yourself. Well, let's go to a producer Sam. Producer Sam, who,
by the way, has taken maybe at least a dozen
little birds to the hospital in the.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
Past couple of years. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:53):
Sometimes I think they wait to see me coming and
then they're like quick selty farm.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Pretend to limp. All right, what's on your I want to.
Speaker 5 (03:00):
Wish congratulations and screw you to my husband William simultaneously
because we went out drinking on Friday, and while he
was drinking he saw that there was a City Challenge
race the next morning. He said, hey, let me sign
up for that five kopsicle course for fun. That's sort
of a bitch. Placed fourth hungover without training. He placed
fourth overall with hundreds of people there.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Wow, just an impromptu run.
Speaker 5 (03:24):
He is my favorite and least favorite kind of person, Nate.
I know your brother is the same way. And these
freaks of nature just pissed me off and fill me
with joy. I don't know what it is.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
God love them.
Speaker 5 (03:33):
Oh God, it's disgusting.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
He's kind of cool. How was your mother's day?
Speaker 5 (03:40):
It was everything I expected it to be. It actually
started fantastically thanks to William. He like loved, bonded me
like crazy, had a great day with the fam, and
then it got darker like at night. And I think
I'm still experiencing the emotional ingover from that. You know,
So it just as is expected, a little bit of everything.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
All right, Well we left.
Speaker 5 (04:00):
I love thank you.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Uh as you described Spencer as being a little like Gandhi.
Gandhi is like the Spencer of the Morning Show. What
does she have going on with her that reminds you
of Hurd, your son.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
I wonder, I wonder, Well, my around the Room is
about Sucker. So well, there you go. It's making full circle.
All right, Gandhi, what's on your mind? It is all right.
Speaker 6 (04:22):
So there's a series on Netflix called Untold and I
love it. It's behind the scenes on all kinds of different things.
When it comes to sports, they have something about, you know,
the Trasher is from New Jersey, that hockey team, of
all kinds of stuff. But I actually got to catch
up with the episode on Hope's solo and it was fascinating.
I know she's quite a controversial figure, and you'll see
in this why and a lot of things that led
(04:42):
up to it, and then kind of get to make
your own decision on your thoughts about Hope solo. So
if you have a minute, go watch that episode. I
found it fascinating. I don't ruin anything for anybody. I also
think it could have been longer and they could have
gotten into some more detail about things, but overall it
was really good.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Nice, excellent, excellent. Added to the list of shows we
need to watch? Scary, What's up with You Today?
Speaker 7 (05:04):
So a close friend of mine is in a quandary.
He's in between jobs right now. And he's always been
a high level executive. He's always had those types of jobs,
those big suit jobs. Well, a major porn company approached
him with a boatload of money and said, hey, do
you want the job?
Speaker 1 (05:23):
And now he's like, yeah, wait, hold on to do
what to be.
Speaker 7 (05:27):
Like like a high ranking like a CEO, CMO type
wow of a porn company.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
Oh, I'm thinking like like a fluffer Yeah no, no, no,
so behind the scenes guy.
Speaker 7 (05:36):
But the problem is he's afraid it's gonna taint his
resume and he doesn't want He's like, I don't know
what If I should do this, I may be ruined forever.
This could be my last job ever, because who's ever
gonna look at me and see this my paint the trail.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
That I didn't know this job that's not But they'll
look at though.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
They'll they'll look at where the company was when he
got there and where it was when he left.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
I mean, that's that's his track record. It may be,
you know, speaking of taint kids, films, taints. I don't know.
He doesn't know if he's going to take it or not.
Speaker 7 (06:04):
He says, it's a very you know, it's a it's
a jackpot if he takes he goes, yeah, because look.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
You know there's a like.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
Look, the Playboy Corporation was such a huge money making
corporation back in the day to be able to be
the CEO of Playboy and take it from worst to first,
and that's that's good. It doesn't matter what kind of
sleazy stuff's going on.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
This one lot is classy as Playboy.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
You tell told Darren we're thinking about him, all right?
Or is it jet Ski Johnny who's going for that job?
Speaker 1 (06:40):
He'll know? Okay, all right? Is it back Door Billy?
Oh no, I think god, he's right? Is it ten
Door Tommy? Yeah, Tack.
Speaker 5 (06:54):
It has to be the Indian guy.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
Okay, the Indian guy? Uh straight, Innate, what's up with you? Okay?
Speaker 2 (06:59):
I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art yesterday. Otherwise
a great museum. I love learning, and I learned something yesterday.
So I was looking at one of these paintings and
it had a fir tree, you know, those tall pine trees,
And did you know that is the reason they started
to build those big spires in got the cathedrals five six,
seven hundred years ago. Is because there was a religious
(07:21):
element to the fir tree, so they tried to emulate
that in the cathedral. So that's why when you go
to Europe and you see these tall, big, thin spires,
it's actually a fur tree. And that's also the reason
why we have Christmas trees. Absolutely, I love it. I
love Nate's did you know?
Speaker 1 (07:39):
Did you know?
Speaker 2 (07:40):
I love blowing your minds? You love blowing you heard
my mind?
Speaker 1 (07:47):
Here you go? That was a beautiful rounroom. Do we
get for one in? Yes, we did.
