Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's time to go around the room with Elvis Duran
in the Morning show.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
All right around the room. That was my around the
room talking about curse words. Let's see what's on the
minds of everyone else in there. I want to start
with scary what's on your mind today?
Speaker 3 (00:14):
So, at one point in your career at a company,
are you allowed to write a farewell letter right now?
Several months ago someone like said the farewell letter like
and they did, Oh, I want to miss this person
that person and hey remember these times, and hey, you
could always find it's not goodbye, it's i'll see you soon.
Right Anyway, I didn't know who this person was. So
(00:37):
I feel like you need to establish yourself. You need
to be like an og at a company. You need
to be there for at least like ten years, fifteen,
twenty years before you feel so self important that you
need to feel the need to write a farewell letter.
Speaker 4 (00:51):
Co workers unless you've worked with them for fifteen years.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
Well, if someone who's here for two years three year writes.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
One of those, I'm like, are you what if the
person that was here for two years is much nicer,
who has more friends than the person that was here
for fifteen years.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Right, Okay, but you don't need to hit a you know,
company email to everybody.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
Send it to that department and those people. But I
hold on, now, hold on, now, keep that in mind.
You were just thinking of you. This is a huge
company we work for, right, there's a lot of people
who knew whoever that was that sent that letter.
Speaker 5 (01:18):
I have no idea who that was.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
It was several months ago. That's why I waited for
a long time ago. I don't want that person to know.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
But there's a lot of people out there that do
know that person. Okay, but you're saying if you don't
know them, then they shouldn't do It's what you're saying.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
But me, if not thirty years, I feel like I
warrant a letter to a farewell letter if it's going
to be my team.
Speaker 5 (01:38):
If someone those who's this and you write, I'm.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Going to reach out across the company and see who
out there does not know who you are. No God,
you know what, I guarantee you it won't take long.
And I'm not saying that because of you. I'm just
saying because we have a large company. There's a lot
of people on the West Coast. They don't even know
we exist for sure, but I was able to New
York people that make money from our show that don't
even know our.
Speaker 6 (01:57):
Names, right, but the New York City.
Speaker 5 (02:00):
Okay, Daniel, what's up with you?
Speaker 6 (02:02):
All right?
Speaker 1 (02:02):
So I talked about this earlier today that we took
a cooking class with my family yesterday. So my son Spencer,
you know, he's in England and he has to cook.
They don't have like a food plan at college, so
he was learning a couple more things. And then my
son Preston just took an interest in cooking, so we
wanted him to go. So the place was amazing. It's
actually called the Flavor Labs. I think there's two ones
(02:24):
in Paramus, New Jersey. Casey runs it. But the coolest
thing about this place is they do a camp for kids,
like in the summer where kids learn to cook and stuff.
But they'll have like a night where you can go
cook and have wine with your girlfriends. She does like
a cupcake war night where like you whoever makes the
best cupcake wins, like all these different things, and I
(02:44):
thought it was the coolest concept ever. I love different
things like that. And we made the most amazing turkey, meatballs,
lasagna cups, these little talkies yesterday so amazing. So it's
called the Flavor Labs in Paramus Casey, like I said,
runs it such nice people that work and it's just
the cutest place, so much fun.
Speaker 5 (03:02):
I love. I love doing cooking, cuss as long as
I don't have to eat it. Cooking my cooking clus
stuff comes out.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
He was delicious.
Speaker 4 (03:09):
We ate it?
Speaker 5 (03:10):
What up, Nate?
Speaker 6 (03:11):
Okay, So we had a collar on earlier this morning
and he was having a rough morning. He had a
flat tire, couldn't find his keys. And somebody texted in
and said, maybe this is a good example of the
burnt toast theory.
Speaker 5 (03:23):
Do you guys know the burnt toast theory? So Elvis
knows it.
Speaker 6 (03:26):
If you burn your toast in the morning, the time
you spend making another piece of toast may have saved
you from a horrific accident. So think about that the
next time something bad happens to you. Maybe it's happening
for a good reason.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
That one second later you walked out the door could
have saved your life exactly. Or then on the other side,
you could say, if only I had left one second earlier,
I wouldn't have this truck heading toward me right now.
Speaker 5 (03:54):
Yeah, what's up? Producer Sam? All right, it is already
July sixteenth. I know I can't be alone here, but
I have yet to have a beach day. And why
that bothers me is because I had zero last year.
And last year I told myself, you're gonna make a
beach day, You're gonna go to the beach. Didn't do it,
and it's happening again, So I have to commit. So
we're well into summer.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
If you're like me and have one thing you've been
wanting to do for yourself or with people, make that
plan right now.
Speaker 5 (04:18):
It's already the sixteenth of July. I can't believe how
fast that happened. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
Sure, get out there, get it done. Go you know
what I've been We can get into this later. I've
been thinking more and more about this stop putting things
off thing? Yes, stop it?
Speaker 5 (04:31):
What are you waiting for? Gandhi? What's up with you?
Speaker 4 (04:33):
Uh? Don't put off listening to my podcast? How about that?
Today I dropped a new episode, and today was with
Adam Levine and we had a great time found out
some interesting things about the tour. If you would go
give it a listen, I would really appreciate it.
Speaker 5 (04:48):
Sauce on the side.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
Wherever you get your podcasts, we love it. If you
get it from the iHeartRadio app, of course, and if
you can't find it for some reason, because people always
tell me they can't.
Speaker 5 (04:56):
Find it, I think they're just not trying.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
You can go to my Instagram story at Baby Hot
Sauce and I have a link because it was a
fun one, and you will also hear Andrew and Diamond
nearly rip each other's heads off about the stupidest thing,
so it's always fun.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
Trees, I got to tell you I heard that interview
you did with Adam Levine. I actually sent you a note.
I'm saying, great job. It really is a great interview
to bang up job.
Speaker 5 (05:16):
That's nice job for Roggy. What's up with you?
Speaker 7 (05:18):
So yesterday I was in a major home improvement retailer
and believe it or not, Okay, they already have some
Christmas stuff out.
Speaker 5 (05:27):
God it's July.
Speaker 7 (05:30):
I mean, like, can we just wait a little bit,
can we just skip through summer?
Speaker 1 (05:34):
Maybe there's a Halloween section too.
Speaker 7 (05:36):
There is a Halloween section. I didn't I mean Christmas really,
I mean it's five months away. I mean it's a
little early, correct.
Speaker 5 (05:43):
My only one. You know, you don't have to buy
it if you don't want, I know, but it shouldn't
be out there yet.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
I'm with you.
Speaker 5 (05:49):
I hate it.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
I feel like people just rush through everything to get
to the next thing and don't actually enjoy the season
that we're in anymore.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
This some of you still let your tree up.
Speaker 6 (05:56):
No.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
I took it down and told you, yes, it was
a new day.
Speaker 5 (05:58):
She didn't take it, and it fell down exactly. The
termites ate it.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
Well.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
I mean, look, I don't know. I see how people
don't want to be rushed into it. But when they
started playing the music and they have the tree up
at the home improvement center, then I already went, oh
you did what did you talk about? The burn toast theory? Oh,
the burn toast theories?
Speaker 1 (06:21):
That's that was re memorable for you, hunh.
Speaker 6 (06:27):
Shut up.
Speaker 5 (06:30):
It was so you know, it was so long ago.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
Because I'm savoring each and every moment I have with
you people, And there you have it.
