Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's time to go around the room with Elvis Duran
in the morning show. And by the.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Way, speaking of this around the room thing we do
every day, which it's my one of my favorite moments
every single day. At lunch yesterday I met Cindy Goldstein,
who listens to our show every day. Hi, Cindy. She's like,
I got a question. How come you don't have it
around the room when they do? And I said, because
I talk all day. I'm like, this gives everyone an
opportunity to say something, and it makes me I shut
the hell up. Let people talk because you know me,

(00:28):
I talk a lot.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
So your name programs, Yeah, and I know what you're thinking.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Well, I know, I just we just we talked about
I talk about things all morning. So that's my around
the room and so so I'm not saying that this
is the segment where this is the only time you're
allowed to talk.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Well, that's what it feels like.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Okay, we need to work through this. So there you go, Cindy.
It was a pleasure meeting Cindy yesterday. Let's go around
the room so everyone else can talk. Well, I'll just
sit back here and go, oh, well that's great. Mm hmmm, Danielle,
We'll start with you. What's going on all right?

Speaker 3 (01:03):
So you know, I was raising money for the Buddy Walk,
which is something that we do every year with the
National Down Syndrome Society, and we went for the walk
in Central Park and in Times Square, and you know,
my nephew, Lucas has his special extra chromosome and he's
just adorable. So I just wanted to say thank you
to everybody that came out to be part of it.

(01:24):
We had the most amazing time everybody that donated. We
raised a lot of money and what they do for
the Down Syndrome Society and Down people with Down syndrome,
it's just incredible, you know, breaking stigmas, giving them things
that they need that they couldn't get. And I posted
a bunch of pictures of my nephew and everybody's like,
he's so cute. My sister just put up for real

(01:45):
and it's like you could see how cute this kid is.
I'm gonna repost her reel because he is just the
cutest thing ever. And we love you, Lucas, and thank
you to all. We made so many new friends when
we were out there, and so many old ones so
thank you for to everybody.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
It was great. Congratulations job well done. Thanks uh Nate.
What's going on with you?

Speaker 4 (02:05):
Do you need a good confidence boost? Do you want
to make yourself feel better about everything? Do you think
we should all be more cocksure?

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Yes? Cocksure? And this is a good thing.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
And I'm gonna tell you want to be more cocksure,
do a project around the house. I hung my own
TV over the weekend, and now I feel like I
can conquer anything.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Yeah, going down.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
It's dead balls level, as they say, and I.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Well hold on what they say that? Yes, dead Ball's level.
You've never heard that?

Speaker 2 (02:36):
No, no, no, this is like a name of a
band that opens up for nine inch nails. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
But anyway, do something that you would have normally paid
somebody to do. You can learn how to do this
on YouTube. You can. There's a number of tutorials to
do a home project. You're gonna feel so much better
and accomplish about yourself if you do so, trust me
on that one.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
All right, congratulations, thank you. What's it called dead balls level? Yeah?
I don't know who came up with that, but I've
usually I think you make this stuff up. I did
not scary. What's up with you?

Speaker 5 (03:09):
You know, Els, you always talk about having things on
your calendar, and it's always important to look forward to
something always always, you know, I have a core group
of friends, most of which I've known since middle school,
and we usually do our like mancations, usually to another
baseball stadium around the country. We've been doing this for Yeah,
we do man cation, all men, all the boys.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
We go away.

Speaker 5 (03:29):
But we've seen pretty much every baseball stadium in America now.
So now we said, let's start doing concerts around the world.
Or so, we decided to go see nine x Nails
in Nashville. And I was sitting there across from my friends,
and we were having an awesome brunch, and I'm like.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
You know what, this is what it's about. Were I
was living in the moment.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
None of us had our phones out, and and I
was like, and we were sitting there planning our next one.
Everyone needs to have this on their calendar to do
something with their old friends, because, you know, we get
right back into that that groove of you know, when
we were like fourteen years old. I know it's you
laugh about it, but you know, it makes us feel
great and we.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
We love it.

Speaker 5 (04:09):
And thank you to all the wives that let their
husbands out of their cages this weekend so they could
join me there you know, people.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Married with kids. Yeah, they got to go out.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
And are these the same friends you knew as in
your childhood that you used used to do measuring sessions with.

Speaker 5 (04:27):
Yeah, no, no, not these guys that those are the
kids that group on my block. I don't know them anymore.
This is someone that are my friends from school, from
middle school.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
I can't believe that you admitted that to this one.

Speaker 6 (04:38):
That was.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Well, it just seems now we used to have measures.
Now we have brunch.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
Touch myself, Tony and all those people.

Speaker 5 (04:47):
No, no, these guys don't have nicknames. No girthy Gary, No, no,
that's my homebopen friends. Okay, Froggy, what's the.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Law?

Speaker 1 (04:56):
It's long, Larry, lengthy, lengthy Larry.

Speaker 6 (04:59):
You know, we are what two weeks into college football,
one week into the NFL, and I refuse to let
football ruin.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
My life this year. Wow, it sounds like you're doing it.
I just ruin my first two weeks.

Speaker 6 (05:10):
However, I did realize that, like yesterday I went to
watch the Jaguars, I played the Carolina Panthers, and I
was able to enjoy the game because they're not my
favorite team. I do want the Jaguars to win. Living
here in Jacksonville, so I like the home team to win.
But I have much more. I can enjoy football so
much more when I don't have a team in the game.
Last night I watched the Bills Ravens game. It was

(05:30):
an amazing ending. They scored sixteen unanswered points in the
fourth quarter. I'm telling you the key is to find
a team that you don't love watching those games and
it causes much less stress. That's the key to football. Well,
let us know you don't let us know how this
season works out for you. I can see the veins
on your neck are still headrud.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Weekend freaking Gators sucked.

Speaker 6 (05:54):
They lost the USF and then the Buccaneers yesterday made
life tough.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
I just I don't get it.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
I got a question for you, since you do a
lot of DIY around the house. Uh Nate said when
he hanged or hung that that TV on his wall hung,
he said it was dead balls level.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Baby.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
See, people are texting and saying it's dead nuts level,
dead nut level, really nut your ball? Is it nut
your balls? I looked it up and it says dead nuts?

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Is that way? I don't know?

Speaker 3 (06:26):
And why do you want your nuts at your balls?

Speaker 7 (06:27):
Dead anyway?

Speaker 6 (06:28):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
I heard dead nuts? Really, I've heard. I never heard this.
D's nuts, these nuts level nuts?

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Okay, producer, Sam, what's up with you?

Speaker 6 (06:42):
All right?

Speaker 8 (06:42):
Speaking of football? I know I'm the minority in this
particular room, but I know there are a whole bunch
of people like me. So to all of the partners
who live with sports fanaticts but don't really care about
watching things on TV, I see you.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
I'm with you.

Speaker 8 (06:55):
And the sun has set on our free TV season
because last night Willie picks up their and it puts
on the Packers game, and I love that he loves it,
and he's gonna have so much fun watching. But it's
gonna be a whole season of him telling me things
I don't understand and frankly, don't really care about. But
I love him, so I will continue to listen. So
for all the partners out there like me who really
don't care, I see you. We're gonna be fine, you, Sam,

(07:16):
We're good, all right?

Speaker 2 (07:17):
There you go, Sam, here it is, and my gandhi, gandhi,
what's on your mind today?

Speaker 7 (07:21):
Okay, so we're very fortunate to have these jobs for
a lot of reasons, but one of them I recently
found out is because we don't have to wear ties.
Do you know how bad ties.

Speaker 8 (07:30):
Are for you?

Speaker 3 (07:31):
Really?

Speaker 7 (07:32):
Apparently they cut blood flow to your brain by up
to seven point five percent.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
They may bites the tie.

Speaker 7 (07:39):
Not even it doesn't even need to.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
Be that tight.

Speaker 7 (07:41):
It's just if it constricts at all, it's supposed to
be really bad for you, and it can cause things
like headaches, dizziness, vomiting even. I mean, we need to
thank our lucky stars every day that we are not
forced to wear ties. And guys, if you're wearing a tie,
or women too, if you're wearing a tie and you're
feeling kind of funny, you can lobby at work to
not wear tie anymore because it's a health hazard.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
There you go, sue your boss. Ties required. M okay,
well sue your boss.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Sue your boss about all right, ties make a stupid
