Speaker 1 (00:03):
What would you talk about on your on your podcast
Him presents fifteen Minute Morning Show. Well, today's uh fifteen

(00:26):
minute morning show podcast could be a little different. We'll
see what happens. We leap at that. Good morning, Danielle,
Good morning, Hi, Gandhi. There's Brody, Good morning, Nate, Froggy
and Scotty Bees. Here, there's Garrett. Barrett. Garrett has guests
coming in clean this place up. We're talking the other

(00:46):
day about the weirdest ways you met the person you're
dating or you're with. Right, I met you know, I
met Alex through a rodent. How's the the groundhog at
Thistaten Island Zoo because he was in charge of the
groundhog and the groundhog tried to get me to be

(01:06):
friends with him, and then he became friends and now
we're married. Yeah, yeah, frog. I me at least because
I couldn't pay my rent and she was the assistant
manager of the apartment complex and she allowed me to
put my rent in a week late without getting charged.
That sounds like the beginning of Hubs. It also makes
me wonder about her judgment. Why would you want to

(01:27):
be in a relationship with the guy who can't pay
his rent there is that. Um this may sound weird,
but I met my girlfriend Robin on America online interestant
messages when she was fifteen hold on the most serious
ever there. It was an innotent couple of years of

(01:49):
exchanges of her asking about radio. Then we disconnected and
never met again. And then ten twelve years later, she
hit me up on Facebook say hey, remember me when
I was fifteen? And I'm like, oh my God, for
me now, remember when I was fifteen. No, I don't
know who you are. Did she leave cookies and lemonade
for you? Like on deadlines? I don't know. I would

(02:12):
you see these stories? I do too. Cee Gandhi's meeting
Brandon is very interesting. We learned. I met him when
I was in sixth grade. He moved into my neighborhood
and he was the new kid. We rode the bus together.
We hated each other, and we were really mean to
each other and apparently slurred each other all the time,
according to my diary. But now everything's good and I'm

(02:33):
at Sheldon because Elvis he wasn't gay, and then he
didn't want to date Elvis, so Elvis passed them on.
He was my sloppy seconds. Here you have him. That's it.
And I met Amy in a parking lot doing a
radio bit. There you go. Okay, so we are joined
by Seth and Rebecca. Can you guys hear us? Yeah?
Are you guys at in a park somewhere? Where are you?

(02:54):
You're outside? We're on a roof. Don't fall. Yeah, we're
just talking about the interesting ways uh couples meet each other,
and we just we just went through all of ours.
Sorry you missed that, but you're up on the roof.
I love that song. How did you guys meet each other?

(03:16):
We went away for a weekend together. We hit it off.
I asked her out and she said yes. This was
about three years ago and we went on one date.
I thought it was great. Evidently I was wrong. We
brought up news and I told her, oh, today's national

(03:41):
Margree today and she said, oh, you heard that on
the news. I'm like, yeah, the news. She was, which,
what news? I'm like, oh, the one hundred news segment
for us. That, by the way, Rebecca, for us, that's
hard hitting news. So so so what happened then, Seth?

(04:02):
So then she goes to me, she goes, that's not
real news set like or ten tents. So I go,
do I really and she goes yes. So the next
day I listen, that's the news station here in New York.
By the way, for people wondering, I listen to a

(04:22):
news station and I take a picture of my radio console,
thinking I'm gonna ask her out again the smoothest way
possible send it. Tor, say hey, I've listened to the
news all day. When would you be free to talk
about it? You know, kind of like a cool like
you know, I'm asking you out. But suddenly she goes, oh,

(04:42):
that's great, but I'm really busy. Now I'll tell you
when i'm free. Two years later, Oh my god, she
tells me she's free. Never Well, wow, so I took
I mean, he really tried to impress you by leaving

(05:04):
our station and going to listen to a news station.
So one strike against you, Rebecca, no offense. But so
what was it that made you decide to call him
two years later and go okay, let's go out. Was
he pastoring you or something or you just you finally
figured out he's a good guy. I knew he was
a good guy. Um, but a friend of mine, UM

(05:26):
was like, you guys should really go out again. You
should really try and like, okay, fine, we'll try it.
And that wasn't it? Years later? Rebecca? What station? Who
do you listen to now in the morning when you're
going to work? Still every more? Oh? I listened to today.

(05:51):
I'm like, you made fun of me three years ago.
He listened to the news and I listened to you. Guys, well,
in a in a real world, I mean, you can
flip around, have no problem with that as long as
you give us a little bit of your time. So,
any any questions for Seth and Rebecca? How long have
you been together? Now? How many years? Um? N? Okay,

(06:14):
not even yet. But someone could argue you've actually been
in and out of something for like five years. But
so you guys, you're still kind of new with this.
How are you doing? I mean dating in the pandemic?
Is that? Is that very challenging? Um? I feel like
he started dating beforehand. It kind of helped it. Um.

(06:37):
But probably if we started during the pandemic, that probably
would have been a little harder, right. Brodie had a question, Yeah,
so it took you two years to find time to
go out with Seth? What were you doing in those
two years, and did you think about him at all?
I was finishing grad school, dating other guys. That's what
I thought. Good for you. Ye know what's so funny

(07:00):
about that, Rebecca, is why you were finishing grad school
and dating other guys, so was Seth. So, Seth, you
told me that the National Margarite today is a joke
amongst your family. Now they teach you about it. Yeah,
so all my friends now, because I thought I was
so smooth about that out, so I told everyone the stories.

(07:24):
Now everyone knows that this is how I asked her
out about National Margarite today. Well, they ask everyone brings
it up all the time that people. There are people
in my life that didn't know Rebecca Rebecca, they just
knew her as radio girl or National Margarite Today. You
got to be known for something, right, Hey, So do

(07:47):
we can we go around the road? Do we approve
of this relationship? I'm Elvis Duran, and I approve of
this relationship, Danielle you in, Yes, I'm daniel Manaro and
I approve of absolutely. Let's do it. And he seems
so happy and gayly I like this. With that, With
that said, uh, Seth, is there anything you want to

(08:08):
bring up. Yeah, so it's really means the one thing
I'll say is it's really about time and the only
person I would rather spend all this time with is you,
And will you marry me and spend the rest of
our time together? Yes? Say something? I think she said. Yeah.

(08:36):
Breath for a minute. If you're listening to this, Seth
is down on one knee and Rebecca is laughing hysterically,
and she's like, why the hell are you doing this
to be in a in a zoom room with a
radio station? Did you laugh that much when you congratulations?

(08:58):
Also tough you guys, that's batty, Rebecca? How are you feeling?
And very overwhelmed? This is really surprising? It is now,
had you not had the pressure of us in this
zoom room, would you have said yes? I don't think
she heard us. Hauld you not be pressured by us?

(09:19):
Would you have said yes? Or would you tell Seth
you needed to think about it? I? Okay, that's and
she said no. One pushed him off the roof. I mean,
that's awesome. I will tell the both of you. We
receive requests almost every day people who want to uh

(09:40):
propose on our show and we never say we never
say yes because it's like, here's another one. But but
you guys, well, actually, Seth got in touch with Garrett
and he says, I don't know, I think we should
do this, and so I'm glad we did. This was
a very happy, happy thing. Surprising. Are you surprised? That's surprised.
She's saying, yes, that's great. So when's the wedding stop it,

(10:12):
Let's see the ring. Hold the ring up closer, the
ring by the camera. And I remember when when Alex
asked me to marry him and we went through the
engagement process and everyone came out of the woodwork to say,
congratulations everyone. Everyone's going to be so so happy for you.
The love that they're all going to share with you,
guys is gonna be great. You're gonna be high on it.
It feels good because now more than ever, we need

(10:33):
reasons to celebrate. Seth and Rebecca, Uh, congratulations to you both,
and thank you for being on our fifty minute morning
show podcast for your special moment. Thank you for having
and we know before their parents. Yeah, you better start

(10:54):
calling because the words about to get out there. All right,
you guys, this has been a very special fifty minute
morning show cast and it would only happened and win
eleven minutes. Yeah, that's a record time. What can we
what can we do now? That top s what Seth
and Rebeccas just did. So I guess we should say goodbye.
We love you guys in happy, happy future to you. Congratulations,

(11:15):
bye bye. By the fifteen minute Morning Show
