Speaker 1 (00:01):
Today's Daily Highlight from Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
So, I sent you guys a group text last night
about this movie that Alex and I watched, yes, called
Violent Night. It's been out for a while, so obviously
someone out there has seen it. Have you guys even
heard of it before? Yeah, yes, I've heard of it.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
It's number twenty, actually number nineteen on the list of
naughty Christmas Movies.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Oh, we're gonna move it up to number one today.
So David Harbor, you know, from Stranger Things, plays a
very irreverent Santa Claus. John Leguizamo plays the bad guy's
and we started watching it and it was like, what
the F is this? And then it just kept getting
more and more weird, and it got to the point
(00:44):
where it was so weird we couldn't turn it off. Yes, gosh,
I liked that. I mean, there's a lot of a
lot of killing, and like, I'm not giving too much away,
but Santa Claus actually takes a sharpened candy cane and
stabs people to death with it.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Oh my, how's that not giving it away?
Speaker 2 (01:03):
Because that's only one piece of this massive puzzle goodness.
So would you watch it again. Yes I would. And
by the way, Santa is a good guy. He was
he was killing bad people.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Just for the record, Okay, So if you've watched Violent
what is it A Violent Night, Silent Night, Yeah, text
me now at fifty five one hundred. I want to
talk to you. I want someone to back me up
because no one on the show has seen it, and
it's it's really worth the watch.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Coming by the way, coming in at number seventeen and
eighteen Silent Night, Bloody Night, and Silent Night, Deadly Night.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Wow. All right, so just to back me up here,
texts are coming in about Violent Night. Violent Night's so good.
It was like Home Alone meets Bad Santa. Violent Knight
is awesome. Watched it last week. Saw Violent Night the
theaters last year. Became an instant must watch every year.
Great movie. Oh it's a it's awesome. All right, I'm
gonna go home and watch this. I want to see
(01:57):
this now. I feel like Yeah. There was a nice
text that says, oh, I've seen Violent Night. Absolutely unhinged film,
but very enjoyable. Bloody has a surprising amount of heart.
Highly recommend it.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
High Bloody with a surprising amount of heart.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
You don't don't believe me yet. Line nineteen Megan, She'll
tell you right now. Hey, Megan, I never even heard
of Violent Night until we accidentally watched it last night,
and it's now our new holiday classic favorite.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
What about what I saw the trailer for it? I
was obsessed with it just from the trailer. It looks
absolutely amazing.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
Wow, yeah yeah, what do you How many times have
you seen a Violent Night?
Speaker 3 (02:41):
At least ten times? I want?
Speaker 2 (02:42):
There you go, she can't live a day without watching
Violent Night. I never heard about it? Oh, it absolutely is.
All right, Well, thank you, Megan, and Merry Christmas. I
hope you have a nice Violent Night. I love you more.
Thank you. Finally, I'll give you one more you don't
believe me it twenty Line twenty is Kevin? Kevin actually
(03:05):
saw it in the theater? Real deal? Kevin? Is this
your favorite holiday now? Holiday classic?
Speaker 3 (03:12):
Oh? It is my new favorite holiday movie for sure.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
You tell everyone why you're like Violent Knight? Back me up.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
I'm a big fan of David Harber anyway, and John
like Ozama is great and just about everything he's ever done.
But it's just it's a really great movie. It's funny,
it's action packed. It's just it's not the holiday movie
you expect, not at all.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Hees questions from the room. Yes, Nate, the total body count,
if you had to give oz under fifty, I don't know.
What do you think Kevin does? At least two dozen
people died in this thing?
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, at least two dozen. I wouldn't
say more than fifty now, but you know, he definitely
takes that. All the hired guns and there's a lot
of them.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Yeah, keep in mind it's good guys versus bad guys,
and David Harper is the good he's a good guy,
so he kills, but he's saving other people. And there's
a there's a child involved with heart that didn't believe
in Santa? Now, does I mean it has? It checks
off all the boxes. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Yeah, we've alcoholic Santa and everything's total alcoholics. Sixty four?
Speaker 2 (04:18):
Oh my god, Danielle, you looked it up.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
So there's actually a list list of deaths dot fandom
dot com and if you put in the name of
the movie, it will tell you the characters that died,
the victims, and how many. So it's sixty four.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
I love that website. All right, Kevin, Well, thank you
for backing me up and helpe. You have a very
very merry Christmas and a very violent night, right you guy. Okay,
I love you too. Okay, you gotta just trust me.
Is someone gonna go see it? Someone're gonna watch it?
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Yeah, I'm gonna watch it. Watch today?
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Oh all right, all right, I'm gonna four report tomorrow
please
