Speaker 1 (00:01):
Today's Daily Highlight from Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
We have a big controversy brewing here involving privacy issues.
We'll get to that in a second. Just do me
a favor. When the songs are played, don't say anything.
You don't want anyone outside this room to hear nothing.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
Nothing. They can hear us everywhere.
Speaker 4 (00:28):
With the microphones unplugged.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm seriously, we gotta we gotta move on.
But I'm telling you right now, I'm telling you right now,
this is this is gonna be a problem. Yes, there
are big speakers in Times Square blaring out everything we
say while the songs.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
Are wrong, and I say my social Security number at
least five times every break.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
I know this is going to be a problem.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Diamond was actually on the phone with their gone to
College just earlier. Everyone down the hall heard everything. Everyone
heard everything you said to your gynecologist that. I mean, wow,
I know there's annointment for that. It's gonna be okay.
We'll get into that.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
In a minute.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
Oh, Charles is here. Good morning, Charles, Good morning, Elvis.
Speaker 5 (01:09):
How you doing.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
I'm doing okay. You need to wake up because we
gotta get some energy here, energy up.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
What's on, Charles?
Speaker 5 (01:14):
What's up, guys? How you doing?
Speaker 2 (01:16):
We're doing okay, we're doing okay. So Charles has decided
to live a life of terror and angst because he
accepted me as a client at the gym.
Speaker 5 (01:26):
What's that like, Charles, Oh, it's it's wonderful. It's it's
not anything like he's talking about.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Complain the whole time, like everything you tell him to do, like, uh.
Speaker 5 (01:36):
No, no, no, he's doing great, he's good.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Really, he's being very nice.
Speaker 4 (01:40):
Does he do the thing where you'll be like, give
me ten situps?
Speaker 5 (01:42):
And he says no, actually, yes, I get that.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
We don't do sit ups. I do spin ups. I
actually do spin ups. I spit up all over the
other people I had.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
Charles.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Charles was my trainer before COVID, and then when COVID hit,
I stopped training.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
I was, I was doing really well there for a while, right.
Speaker 5 (02:03):
I agree, Yes, you were killing it.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
And then COVID hit and then you know, banana bread
mashed potatoes hit me. So I guess about three months
ago I decided I got to get back into it,
and so I guess.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
Three months I guess and so roughly yes, yeah, so
I I train with Charles every time I can get there,
and I will be there today, and I thank.
Speaker 5 (02:27):
You doing a phenomenal job.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
You can't tell about looking at me, but I, he says,
I'm getting stronger, am I?
Speaker 5 (02:34):
You are getting stronger. You don't see it, but you are.
Speaker 4 (02:36):
Do you feel stronger?
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (02:37):
Good.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
I don't fall into walls like I used to.
Speaker 4 (02:40):
That's important. Got a little bit of core back.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
I got a little My core is back.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Okay, don't fall into it except when you drink alcohol.
Then you steal my phone.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
No, no, I still party. We're good there anyway.
Speaker 5 (02:53):
So uh, don't you still trip up the stairs?
Speaker 3 (02:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:57):
I don't fall downstairs. I trip upstairs. This is a
thing I got to work on that. Shut up Charles anyway, Charles.
I love. I love my time with Charles. Every chance
i'm there, I ever since I get to be there.
It's it's my time. And there are times they want
me to do things here. I might No if you,
I've got to go work out with Charles, and I
(03:17):
think that's very important. And thank you for putting up
with my question, my evil ways, what my pretti ser
scary is a question.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
What's that?
Speaker 6 (03:25):
I just want to know how how often do you
have to work out in order to see any results?
Speaker 5 (03:31):
Like?
Speaker 6 (03:32):
Can I work out for like a minimum of like
once a week and make it make a difference. I'm
not looking for abs, I'm just looking at.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
Just and eat like a crazy person. Put that. Put
that in there too.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Yeah, what should the frequency of working out be?
Speaker 7 (03:46):
In your opinion, Charles, health health benefits you can get
by just a couple of two to three times a
week of some light activity, And if you were to
watch what you were eating as well, you can definitely
makes some changes just.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Watching it go into his mouth.
Speaker 8 (04:04):
Yeah, Charles, is it healthy when you have to go
two blocks away to eat your lunch to drive there?
Wouldn't it be better to walk if it's only two
blocks away?
Speaker 5 (04:15):
I think walking would be mandatoryous for that.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
He does that if we go to a restaurant for lunch, Charles,
he'll get into his car and drive two blocks and
find a parking place. It's the strangest thing I've ever seen. Yeah, anyway,
So anyway, Charles, the patience of a saint to put
up with me. But it's likewise because I mean, he's
out of You're not hearing the real Charles right now.
(04:38):
He's out there, I know, all right, So you know,
more questions just Nate.
Speaker 9 (04:45):
Okay, Let's say I wanted to get some abs in
that V yoke thing. You know, like guys that kind
of have their pants hanging down and it looks like
they've got a massive muscle that goes to their crotch.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
How do I get that there? How did he get that?
I want him to have that? You know, where I
would my.
Speaker 9 (05:05):
Jeans without underwear on, and it looks like I just
have one big muscle go to my growing.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
Right, let's see what he says. What do you think, Charles?
How do we get that V shape? Is it possible
for everyone?
Speaker 5 (05:13):
Can I? Can I answer this honestly?
Speaker 3 (05:15):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (05:17):
All right? I would call mom and ask Chris to
start everything all over.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
Yes, yeah, Charles.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
Is it true that really defined calf muscles are also
mostly genetic?
Speaker 5 (05:33):
That can be a lot of times. Yes, that can
be a very hard muscle to grow.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
What about popeye calf muscles? Yeah, those genetics?
Speaker 4 (05:43):
What about what about the Kardashians and all of these
giant butts? Can you really squat your way to a
giant butt? Or can you just squat your way to
a certain percentage of a bigger button?
Speaker 3 (05:52):
Well, he loves big butts, do you?
Speaker 1 (05:54):
And he cannot lie.
Speaker 5 (05:59):
I don't know there there might be some stuff going
on there. Yes, I can't say.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
Well, yeah, we know that there's our fake. But the
average person if they wanted to get a little bit
of a booty, can you actually just squat your way
to a slightly bigger butt?
Speaker 5 (06:12):
Absolutely?
Speaker 3 (06:12):
Okay, good, wow, that.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
One's not necessarily genetic as much.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Well, look here's what's going on here, by the way,
and Charles has said, anytime you guys want to come
work out with us, doors open, right, I mean they
I would love for them to meet you, because you're
really fantastic at what you do. I would never say
this to your face if you're hearing us on the phone,
I mean, not even be the same person right now,
you know. But anyway, Charles is the best. If you
(06:38):
go to Elvis Durant or Elvis Durant's show on Instagram,
you'll see us standing together.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
There's Charles. Look look at that. Of course he's got
his shirt down over his well defined whatever that is
down there.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
He's a trainer, do you really think?
Speaker 2 (06:53):
I mean, what are your downfalls? You're a trainer, and
you when you're not training, your training yourself? What like
what do you still want to work on in your body?
Are you happy with your body?
Speaker 5 (07:04):
I think that's always like a work in progress. I
think people are their own worst critics, and I'm definitely
pretty hard on myself. Trust. Uh, probably things I'm least
happy with I would say would be my chest, muscles
and my legs. But as I've gotten older, I just
(07:26):
try to like, you know, I'm healthy. I get to
work out. It's a privilege that I can. I enjoy it,
and I try to just be positive about stuffy.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
And I was asked earlier, is Charles that kind of trainer?
There's like he yells at you and then like it's
like going to boot camp.
Speaker 3 (07:41):
I might no, not at all. No, Yeah, so he's okay,
he's all right.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (07:47):
So we all know the old saying abs are made
in the kitchen. So no matter how much you work out,
you cannot out train the bad diet. What is the
worst food that when you see people eating or drinking it,
you just want to smack it out of their hand.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
What I have every day?
Speaker 1 (08:00):
Stop it?
Speaker 3 (08:01):
But go ahead.
Speaker 5 (08:03):
I would just say, excess sugar.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
No, no, pick something else, something else, excess chicken par
chicken pars.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Shut up?
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Well, really, I mean what I hear from Charles isn't
what you shouldn't need, it's what you should eat. And
all I hear is the word protein over and over
and over.
Speaker 4 (08:23):
Well, I feel like I just hear so much anymore
about the drinks that we're consuming on a daily basis.
It's just empty calories and sugar. So does the amount
of sugar you put in your coffee, like all these
different things, which is really just kind of depressing.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
Look at that.
Speaker 8 (08:36):
Yeah, what, Danielle, how much water should you really be
drinking every single day?
Speaker 1 (08:40):
Like if it was you know, we could It.
Speaker 5 (08:44):
Depends on your body weight, but I'd say, like for
an advertised person, like a minimum of two liters a day? Wow?
Speaker 3 (08:50):
Is that a lot?
Speaker 1 (08:50):
I don't know how much is two liters and ounces?
Speaker 5 (08:52):
It's like one of those Well, it's about sixty the
thirty three point thirty three and change on an on
a leader, So you're looking at like sixty seven sixty
eight ounces.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
By the way I had. I had a glass of
water Wednesday.
Speaker 4 (09:07):
Hey, I know. Okay, So the guys around here they
like hate water, a few of them. Are there foods
that you can eat or are there other drinks that
you can drink to get the water into your system
when you don't like water.
Speaker 5 (09:20):
I mean you can use like the vitamin water. I
don't like it, barkling water, they.
Speaker 4 (09:25):
Don't like it.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
You need water, yeah, yeah, you need water.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
And by the way, people are following you, people are
checking in and say they're following you already at coop
fit on Instagram?
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Is that is that your your thing? Coop Fit?
Speaker 5 (09:38):
I'm not sure.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
Sure, it's coop Fit, Underscore Fitness. Listen, it's on my
Instagram now it's Elvis Dran and Elvis Dran Show. Yeah, Froggy.
One more question. We got to get to the fund
of this.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
How good are the things that you put into like
regular water, that flavors that like a drip drop or
things like that that are supposed to help with hydration.
Are those good for you? Or those bad?
Speaker 5 (10:01):
I use I use electro lights. Yes, there you go,
right now, right now, I have uh, let's see, I
have it right here. Actually, noon hydration and U U N.
I've been using these recently and they're just like uh,
they're like big tablets. You break them in hat. You
can drop it right into your water bottle and you
get to go shake it up.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
There you go cool and you know what, get that
protein going. You'll get protein farts. That's okay.
Speaker 4 (10:27):
Oh I have a question about that.
Speaker 5 (10:29):
Last one.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
Last one.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
Okay. Have you ever been stretching out our lovely Elvis
duran and he's faulted?
Speaker 5 (10:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (10:35):
Yeah, yeah, have you told him called him out on it?
Speaker 5 (10:39):
Well, I'm gonna keep what happens on his favorite machine.
The leg press is secret.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
Yeah, the leg press, man, that's a baste. That leg
press is frightening. The leg press scares me. All right,
let's get to the let's get to what we're gonna
do here. So if you follow at Elvis Durant or
Elvis drand show you see me standing there with Charles
and uh, of course you can and follow him at
coop Fit Underscore Fitness. It's right there, you can link over.
Now here's what we're gonna do. If we get him
(11:06):
a thousand, at least one thousand followers today, he is
going to personally donate one thousand dollars to No Kid Hungry,
which is an incredible organization across our country looking out
for kids who are not getting the nourishment they need.
And this is very especially important in the summer months.
Right the kids who were going to school, Charles and
I were talking about getting they're not getting their nourishment,
(11:30):
their nutrition as they do during school year, and that's
one of the many things that No Ken Hungry takes
care of. And we had a great passionate conversation about
this yesterday. So this is who you want to donate
the money to.
Speaker 5 (11:40):
Absolutely, I think it's a great cost.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
I love watching I keep refreshing and I'm watching his
numbers go up.
Speaker 8 (11:45):
Tored and ninety four four thousand, three hundred.
Speaker 2 (11:49):
Okay, four thousand, three hundred and seven. All right, did
you have a number before we started, so we know
where at a thousand starts?
Speaker 5 (11:55):
I was. I think a little over forty one hundred.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
Okay, we'll call it forty one hundred. So if we
get him to fifty one hundred follows and by the way,
he's fun to follow. You do a lot of insightful
posts about working out and it's it's not a bunch
of like meatball stuff. It's like real deal, we're regular
people stuff. Let's get him over one thousand follows today
and he'll donate one thousand dollars to No Kid Hungry,
(12:20):
and I will donate another couple of bucks to No
Kid Hungry, two dollars. No, if you get him five
thousand follows today, we will donate another five thousand dollars.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
To No kidd.
Speaker 8 (12:35):
He's up to forty nine.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
If we get Charles, if we get you over ten
thousand followers today, we will donate ten thousand dollars to
No Kid Hungry.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
Go on, guy's do it all right?
Speaker 5 (12:46):
That is amazing.
Speaker 4 (12:48):
He's up to four thousand, five hundred and eleven.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
All right, let's slow it down, now, slow it down.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
No, if we get to ten thousand followers, it'll be
my We'll put into a total of ten grand, including
your one grand.
Speaker 3 (12:59):
Is that cool?
Speaker 5 (13:01):
Absolutely?
Speaker 3 (13:02):
All right? This is great?
Speaker 1 (13:03):
Oh my gosh, this is crazy. How fast is this
going on?
Speaker 3 (13:06):
All right?
Speaker 5 (13:06):
When when is everyone coming to the gym?
Speaker 3 (13:09):
I'm coming on Monday? Are you coming Monday?
Speaker 6 (13:11):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (13:11):
I need the weekend to kind of get like, okay,
all right, all right, we'll figure it out. We'll make it.
At least you'll drive by right by the way.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
I like your little video on how you shave your beard.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
Very important. You know that how much you bench?
Speaker 4 (13:27):
Your arms are very large?
Speaker 5 (13:30):
Uh, not that much. Actually, I've been working out with
around like one hundred and ninety pounds for sets of
like five.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
I thought you asked him how much as a bitch
a lot?
Speaker 8 (13:40):
Okay, Okay, guys, it's almost at five thousand.
Speaker 3 (13:44):
All right, so if we get you to if it's
forty one hundred.
Speaker 9 (13:48):
One in five thousand was a big fifty one hundred
was a big goal.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
Okay, So if we get you ten thousand followers, it'll
be ten thousand dollars to no kid hungry. All the
info on Instagram, at Elvis Duran or at Elvis Show.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
It's all right there. He's right there, totally clothed, ready
for your donation. It's all good, Charles. You're doing a
great thing. Congratulations. Because of you, a lot of kids
are not going to go hungry this summer.
Speaker 5 (14:13):
Thank you, Thank you. I think it's great.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
All right, We're gonna let you go now, love to
you and I'll see you in a little bit.
Speaker 5 (14:17):
Okay, you got it.
Speaker 3 (14:20):
Everyone think about a Charles.
Speaker 8 (14:23):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
Our listeners are awesome, man, they are.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
The question what team does Charles bat for? He loves
the women every chance he gets.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
I love how people are asking that.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
He's a super super guy. I would never say this
to his face, but I'm so so fortunate to have
him in my life and you will. You'll be with
me too as well. Let's let's shoot to take it
to the break. Let just tell me what to do.
Speaker 5 (14:44):
Just take a break.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
We'll take a break. I'm getting yelled it. Take a break.
