Speaker 1 (00:00):
At home on our Z one hundred, our hometown Z
one hundred. Hey, guys, welcome to the Extra Hour. Hello, hey,
well look at that. It's so great to be on
Z one hundred and uh feel free to Texas as
you text us all morning long at Welcome to the
Bonus Hour. Something you may not know. We were an
hour late starting this morning because our entire control room

(00:22):
craped the bed. We didn't start our show till seven am.
And uh, you know, I was phoning in on ze
but that was it. And that was weird losing that hour.
We had a lot of people panicking out there, going
where are you? Actually felt like we're needed. So we're
back now. Thank you, thank you for missing us. I
appreciate it. Hey, so as we get this, uh, second
day of our Bonus Hour started on Z one hundred.

(00:44):
Are you guys ready to do a little around the room?
Do you have something on your mind? Should postpone? Oh?
Look at that? Always something on Danielle's mind. What's going on? Danielle?
So I just want to say congratulations to our friends. Um, um,
hold on, you know what can can you come back
to me? I do need a minute? Oh no, no,
I'm good. I'm good. I'm good, I'm good. Okay, we're

(01:05):
back to Danielle. Back to Danielle. Congratulation, Congratulations to our
friend Jesse and Ricky. Um. You remember our friend Jared
Lize who passed away last year, right, Um, Well, her family,
Jesse and Ricky and um, they have a new baby, Sienna,
a new baby daughter. She was born yesterday. They were
very nervous obviously in these times. You know, can we

(01:28):
be there for the birth of the baby. He didn't
know if he could be there. Thankfully he got to
be there to see the birth of the baby. Everybody
is doing okay, and little Sienna is now in the world.
And I know Jarally Lize is looking down from heaven
looking over her brand new baby sister. So congratulations to them,
brand new baby in the family. So we have a
new baby listener. So she's a new baby listener and

(01:48):
happy to have her. Yeah, would let my baby listen
to this crap? No offense, but okay, hey, scary, what's
on your mind? For the bonus? There's just one app
that I've been using a lot less because it just
pains me to check it. Grinder time hop because time
happens that app where it shows you pictures from this

(02:10):
day all the years, and I'm like, oh, look all
the fun I was having in two thousand seventeen, two
thousand fourteen, and it was it was this week last
year that Jeff Junior, Jeff and and Gandhi and I
and a bunch of people were in Singapore. So I'm
not looking at time hop at all this week because
it's a reminder that I am now at my house.
No matter how great what is gonna look like, I

(02:34):
don't know. I think it's fun to see what we
were doing a year ago because we're gonna do it again.
We're gonna do it. Hey, what's up with you today? Froggy?
You know, I hope the app, the calorie counting app
on my Apple Watch, is accurate because I've started a
new system. I make myself work out and burned the

(02:54):
number of calories of the candy that I Easter candy
that I want to eat. Yeah. Look, I just figured
out an entire bag of peanut butter Eminem's is eleven
hundred calories. I gotta go get on the peloton and
burn eleven hundred calories before I can chow dowt on
this entire bag? Why why do you abuse yourself? You

(03:17):
know what I was talking on the Big Show earlier
that there are dietitians out there that they're saying, Hey,
just suspend all that, stop worrying about it, because when
we get back in action, you're gonna work your ass off.
You're okay, you go eat an entire bag of little
chocolate eggs. Do it right now, Gandhi, what's on your mind?
During the Z one hund Bonus hour, Well, Danielle was

(03:39):
just talking about how we have a new baby listener,
and I think that's great because I'm going to have
to get rid of my mom as a listener. We're
gonna have to uninstall her app because she listens closely.
She pays attention to all kinds of things. And we
were talking earlier about how I was kind of randomly
upset yesterday about something and now she is so concerned.
I got a text in the middle of the show
that said please call me us an as you're off

(04:00):
the air. So I panic, thinking something was wrong, and said,
oh my god, what's happening. She said nothing, You're sad,
this is not okay. Call me. I'm like women delete
your up, stop it right. I mean, she sees, she
hears you describe about her. Her Her daughter, Gandhi is sitting
on a park bench by herself and weeping in front
of in front of everyone, and you know, of course

(04:21):
she's going to be a little concerned. Hey, a couple
of programming notes. First of all, a beautiful day. Of
course tonight again at nine o'clock right here on one
D we have another hero we will be honoring and
of course doing the light show on the Empire State Building.
And tonight, especially tonight, it's supposed to be a beautiful night.
We've got a pink moon on our way. You're gonna

(04:41):
hear more about that and the three things with Gandhi
in a second. Also, did you hear what New Jersey
Governor Murphy is saying. He's losing patients with people who
are not locking down. He says, to the jackasses violating
New Jersey coronavirus lockdown rules, get with a program. Governor
Murphy says, we know who you are and we will
not relent. Last week he called people, but you understand

(05:05):
he's progressing. Last year, Governor, last week Governor U Murphy
called them knuckle heads. This week, he's calling them jackasses.
The F bomb is coming, and I can't He's such
a nice guy. I don't know if he knows the
F word. Anyway, If you want to call us, Nate
is on the phones now at one eight hundred two

(05:27):
two zero one hundred. Weather today, scary, make it official?
What's it all about? Today? And tonight? A mix of
sun in clouds. Today it's gonna be nice, mild, high
sixty six. Then tonight late the rain will move in
into tomorrow morning. It will be a rainy morning and
then a cloudy afternoon tomorrow and a high of fifty seven.
It's fifty seven right now. I don't know about you,
but I once again I'm so excited about watching Governor Cuomo.

(05:49):
I watch him every single day, and even though he
opens up his press conference with stats that we already
know because we're reading and we're reading the stats in
the morning, but then he goes into more d tailed
and he talks about what they're doing, and I just
once again cannot say thank you enough to all of
our community leaders, especially our Governor Cuomo, for leading us
through this thing. He did give us a glimmer of

(06:10):
hope yesterday but cautiously. He's saying that the peak for
all of us New Yorkers may have come early, or
their plateau go ng and may still stay at this
level for patients for a while. The death rate has
gone down a little. He's increased our statewide statewide pausing
order along with school closures through April nine because he

(06:32):
says there's evidence that social distancing is working. Now is
not the time to let up. What do you think
about that? We'll start with you, Danielle. Did you hear
about this press conference with the governor yesterday? I think
it's great. I mean I I'm going to agree with him.
Where if if that isn't the direction where we're headed,
then exactly we need to stay doing what we're doing.
It obviously means people are listening and doing what they

(06:55):
need to do, and we need to continue to do that.
That doesn't mean that we go, oh great, let's open
them all. Let's go back and hang out with our
friends and have a basketball game. That's not what it means.
It means what we're doing is working, so we continue
to do it so we can get to the point
where we can go to the mall and we can
have a basketball game. Well there you go. You know. Uh,
A text just came through and something happened to this

(07:17):
listener that happened to you a few weeks ago, Danielle.
But this text or says, I just wanted Gondhy to
know the same thing happened to me. At the grocery
store Sunday, I was looking at everyone in their masks
with fear in their eyes. I did groceries with tears
in my eyes. When I got back in my car,
I just cried. An hour later, my daughter's boyfriend was
moved into hospice. It's a scary world, but I try
to stay positive. I have my daughter's family to care

(07:39):
for in me and my boyfriend. On forty hours less
a month, UH, I just working four hours less a month,
working less, but you know it's gonna be okay. Thank
you guys for the smiles in the morning, and thank
you for doing your fourth hour. I love that. It's
it's good to be home at ze UH. Lots of
phone calls coming. Let's go talk to rich On for

(08:00):
calling it eight hud Hey, rich what did you see
at UH at eleven thirty yesterday morning? On your Instagram?
I got to watch Caden get a haircut from Froggy.
It was awesome. It was hilarious. We're all watching Froggy
on his uh driveway shaving his son's head. And he

(08:22):
got a little he got a little intense. Don't you
think rich? That's that's an understatement. I thought it was great.
That was awesome entertainment. It broke up my work day
working from home. It was awesome. How's kayten doing with
his new haircut? He's good. He loves that. He wanted
to come in earlier and show everybody and say hello, Um,
he's doing good. He likes it. He you know, he

(08:44):
thinks it's wonderful. His next question has been can I
just keep it this way? And like, I don't think
your mom's gonna let you keep it that way? Well,
you know what, it's so much easier than like, it's
so much easier just to slice it all off like
you did. I was I was very impressed with your
your shaving ability, Froggy. It was coming back. It came
out very well. Kate says, look on the bright side,
to look at all the money we're gonna shave on shampoo.

(09:05):
Who can we shave next? Let's shave scary now we
need we need to have more shave of thought. Dane.
All right, thank you for your call. Rich. We appreciate
you listening so much, and thank you for listening to
the bonus hours on. We can't we can't thank you enough.
Thank you, thank you. We love being st Pete FLOORI

(09:25):
to keep going. All right, Well, well that's it's strongly
stopping now. Line twenty three. Is Nick a paramedic? Another
hero on the phone? We can't let our heroes hold anyway, Nick,
welcome to our show on Z one hundred. How are
you doing today? Is a paramedic, You must have a
lot on your mind and in your heart. I mean
it's a difficult thing to deal us on a daily basis,

(09:46):
but yeah, I mean coming to work, you know, trying
to help people in regards to the best that you can.
It's it's worth while in its arm regards. Let me
ask you, how do you and everyone you work with
on the front line? How do you mentally prepare are
yourself to deal with patients that could likely be COVID
positive and you have to help them save them at

(10:08):
the same time you have to save yourself. How do
you prepare for that every day when you go out.
I mean it's it's knowing that you're eventually going to
get those jobs because of the fact that there is
such a high acuity, there is such a high incidence
for it nowadays in the field that being in the
Try State area of New York, New Jersey, Um, you're
always going to run into these people, but um, dealing

(10:29):
with the inevitable of having to deal with them, Um,
you know, trying to create that distance essentially. I mean,
you don't want to distance yourself away from the job,
but create that distance so that you're not trying to
take home all these uh, everything that's going on with
you and trying to carry it over to whether it
be friendships, relationships, everything else like that. Wow, it's got

(10:50):
to be making your your your mind is constantly making
decisions whether you should move left or move right, and
uh wow, we I gotta say, we're to have you
listening to us and everything you're doing, Nick on the
front lines, Thank you so much, and please stay safe. Okay, Yeah,
I mean personally constantly stayed away from family members right
now too, because I don't want to expose them to

(11:13):
what we're dealing with. Specifically on the front line. I
bet they mess you. I'm sure, and I'm assuming you're
looking forward to day. You can hang out with them
unless you hate them. I mean, I don't know. You
like your family and the good people. You're good, Okay,
good good. That's a bonus, all right, Nick, you're our hero.
Thank you so much for listening to SEE one hundred.
You stay safe, Okay, let's see text messaging. Oh Hoizon

(11:35):
Workerstate Island, working at the target. You're checking in. Thank
you for keeping us connected, Verizon. We love our Verizon Wireless. Also,
Jennifer Ono also had a crying s about and I
must be honest, I cried the other day and I
really can't put my finger on why. But we're talking
about this the story that Gandhi shared with us earlier.
Good morning, Jennifer, Welcome to ZE one hundred. What's going

(11:55):
on with you? Good morning, guys, So great to talk
to you. You sound like you're in a good mood. Now,
let me ask you, what were you doing and what
made you cry? Or was it just your your emotions
just caught up with you. I think my emotions just
caught up with me. I have two young kids at home.
I'm working from home, my husband's working from home. Um,
we're thankful that we are still can work, but just

(12:18):
with the news, seven emails from my work and from schools,
like with all these updates, it just got so overwhelmed.
And I've been trying to get outside. You know, I'm
a runner, so I go run. And Friday, I just
my chest was so tight and I went for a
run and I just I lost it. I just melted
down crying, just I had to get it out, and

(12:40):
it felt so good. I think that it's important to
figure out why it is that we're feeling this way,
because that's what I spent yesterday night doing, was what
is it that's bubbling under so much right now that
made me feel this way? And it seems like you've
got a good answer on that. And for me, what
I came to the conclusion about was, I think it's

(13:01):
just the fact that I have no answers, that none
of us have answers about what this is gonna look like,
how long this is gonna be, when we're gonna see
friends and family that we love, when we're just gonna
be able to live our lives the way that we
have been and whether you're thinking about it or not,
it's all under there and it comes out at one
point or another, so you're not alone. And thank you
for making me feel better. Yeah. And I have a

(13:22):
little boy who's turning six in a couple of weeks
and he's been counting down his birthday for the last
year and he wants to have his friends come and
we haven't had I don't know how to tell him
that we can't do this, and we've been trying to
kind of teach him, but he doesn't get it. He
just keeps saying, my birthday is coming. So that kind
of had a little part of it too. It's just

(13:42):
like I don't know what to do. Yeah, you're a
good mom you're a good mommy, and you know what,
You're gonna give him the best birthday you can and
that's all you can do. And my dad and I
always say this over and over, the best advice my
dad ever gave me. I know you guys are sick
of me saying it, let yourself off the hook. Sometimes
you just have to take a deep breath and go, Okay,
take a take a deep breath again, all right, let

(14:05):
myself off the hook. It's gonna be Okay. What we're
doing right now is going to work. We love you.
Thank you for listening to us. Jennifer, Okay, we're gonna
take a break with YouTube. We're taking a break when
we come back. Three things we need to know from
Gandhi and a whole lot of other stuff going on
in New York, New Jersey we need to cover. We're
back after the two hundred. Everybody's mother, father, sister, friend

(14:28):
in a vulnerable population. This is about protecting them. What
you do highly effects their health and wealth being. And
now even more of Elvis durandom to show. Here's Elvis. Yeah,
it's not all about what you want to do, it's

(14:49):
about how you can save other people. Thank you, Governor Cuomo. Hey,
did you know that Long Island is now two of
all hospitalizations in New York State? I mean it all
started in Westchester is the biggest hot zone, remember then,
and then now it's Long Island there there, We're all
getting it in New Jersey. The numbers over there are crazy. Hey,
thanks for listening. This is the Bonus Hour. Of course,

(15:11):
we are exclusively on Z one New York, but you
can hear us everywhere on the I Heart radio app
and Serious x M. Thank you for listening. A lot
of texts coming through. Uh this is my favorite. I'm
a middle school teacher. As a teacher, we now have
a lot of Zoom and Google meet meetings. For some reason,
all my meetings started at eleven am, which is getting
in the way of the price is right. I mention

(15:31):
this because I want to watch the prizes right. I
told everyone on the crew, and they laughed and thought
I was joking. I'm serious. I love the prices right
move the meeting. I just thought, I want to share
my first world problem with you, and there you have it,
so I get it. Yeah, you know. I keep running
into my son when he complains about this. He's like,
they are making a class at the time that I

(15:52):
will go. Normally, you'd be in school at this time,
so you cannot complain. Normally you'd be at work at
this time. So we were really can't complain that it's
in the way of our prices, right. Really, you think
about how this is going to be like, this is
gonna be like if you go an entire summer without
wearing shoes and then you have to put your shoes
back on again. It was like, oh my god, let's
get into the three things you need to know, Gandhi?

(16:14):
What is going on right now? Hello? All right? New
York City is getting a lot of wait, wait, hold on,
where the music here? My screen flipped on me to
something else. Damn it scary? Huh did it flip to
the price is right? I hope? And now do you
want hundred three things you need to know? Gandhi? What's
going on? Okay? In New York City? We are getting

(16:34):
a lot of help from out of town frontline medical workers.
They're coming from all across the nation to help us.
So if you are hearing this and you're one of them,
we love you and we thank you for running towards
the danger, not running away. Governor Cuomo says twenty thousand
medical professionals have volunteered to come here and help us,
and just because of people like that, at seven pm
each night, residents are opening their windows and showing appreciation

(16:56):
for these healthcare workers who are putting their health at
risk to save ours. People are clapping, cheering, banging pots,
weaving flags for about ten minutes to show that appreciation.
So if you hear it, join in. They say, it's
boosting their morale. And tonight around PM, something really cool
is happening. We're gonna have a super pink moon hanging
in the sky over New York City. It's not actually pink.

(17:16):
It's named because of the flowers that we would normally
see in springtime if we were outside, but we're not.
It's the biggest bull moon of the year and it's
about seven percent larger than average if you look outside.
So tonight is the night go look at the moon.
I'm definitely going to send an alarm on my phone
and those are your three things. Good another night going
out howling at the moon with Gandhi. Um. Seriously, I

(17:40):
did pick the worst week ever to stop drinking. This
is drying. We can say, look at the moon without
a cocktail breakfast weekend. Yeah, uh scary. A lot of
people are texting a loving listening to the Bonus Hour
on what are you seeing right now? Absolutely, we have
to say good morning to the target in Comac, the
entire a team who continues to show up for work

(18:02):
every day in and out. I love you guys so much.
That's from somebody on the team. They didn't leave their name.
The E. M. T. S in Rockland County, Monica from
Queens who's listening to us right now in Lexington, Kentucky
on Series XM twelve. And Lady Lou delivering water in
Bay Ridge. Perfect Lady Lou. Yeah. From Gary Frank Gary Spangler,

(18:25):
who works over Republic Music. He sent us an email,
this is kind of interesting something that's going on here
in New York. Actually, if you know someone who is
a qualified nurse like they're looking for specifically, I see
you qualified nurses. They're willing to let people move to
New York and pay them three times in the normal rate,

(18:46):
put them up in five star hotels if they're traveling
in from another area in the country. I know. I
saw this on the NBC Nightly News the other night. Uh.
New York City needs I see you nurses. As we
are the epicenter of the virus and things are expected
to get worse for a while, we need Prime Staffing.
So Prime Staffing a New York based healthcare professional recruitment company.

(19:10):
They've been given the enormous task of recruiting thousands of
more needed nurses for the intensive care units in New
York City and over our one A ton of hospitals.
So if you know someone in the Tristed area or
outside the Tristed area that wants to move to New York,
they should get in touch with Prime Staffing. Isn't that

(19:30):
while that they're willing to do that? I mean, we
need it. What do you think of that? I'm I'm
thinking of all the nurses I know right now who
I am about to send a text message to and
be like, come join us, come to the dark side,
fix it, and they need to a lot of the
nurses that are working right now. I know a couple
of my friends are like, we are exhausted because they're

(19:52):
working extra extra hard right now because you know, we
don't have enough and we need more. So please come.
Here is the web site. You got to remember this.
It's It's up to your Prime Staffing NYC dot com.
That's Prime Staffing NYC dot com. If you know an
I see you nurse who can roll in New York
City get paid really well, we could really use them

(20:15):
right now. That's Prime Staffing NYC dot com. Uh Andrea
on line calling at eight hundred Andrea, thank you for
listening to Zee one hundred for the bonus hour. What's
going on what do you do? I am a mental
health professional. All this, I'll got my number now, so

(20:37):
so so tell everyone how you're You're meeting up with
people who are looking for some help with mental health.
So what I am doing is I am calling people
the Google Voice and if they have the capability, I
am using a telehealth service that the the hospital that

(20:57):
I for um was able to get set up for risks.
So what I'm doing is I'm seeing a lot of
stakes and depression and anxiety right now because we're stuck
at home. We don't know what to do. No one
looks prepared for this mentally or emotionally. So I'm helping
people work through their depression, their anxiety, giving them working

(21:20):
with them, finding out what slipping skills do they have,
what can they do? Obviously a lot of stuff they
wanted to do they can't due to the state of
the world. But it primarily work with kids. And you'd
be amazed how many of my my clients right now
are seeing the spike because they're feeding off them and
Dad's anxiety and it's making theirs worse. Wow. Yeah, and

(21:45):
anxiety is creating more anxiety. And as we were talking
to the other name you know the other day, Bryne Brown.
I don't know if you're familiar with her. She's great podcast,
Burnet Brown's podcast, and of course she's gonna be on
the show with us tomorrow. She was saying that in
the world of anxiety, some people overreacting, some people underreact,
and so those two things working together make it even worse.

(22:06):
So what is your best advice? Your best advice for
anyone right now who feels like they feel that stir
of anxiety but they just can't identify what it is
that's causing it, or is it even important to identify
what's causing it. Oh well, my best advice is you're
feeling any point of anxiety, are doing little things to

(22:28):
check your brain because your brain right now isn't pain.
Oh my god, things have changed. We like Chine, we
like normalcy, we like knowing what's coming, and right now
we don't have that. So everyone's kind of going, oh
my god, what do we do? So it's important to
get out there and get Sunshinese can for walks, following

(22:48):
a social distancing walk, your dogs in time, if your
your pest, and really, but if it goes on, if
that's working, definitely reached out to the mental health professional.
I'm from West Ridin yet, so I know here we
have a lot of access to telehealth and stuff. The
research find out what professionals are doing telehealth because I

(23:10):
got to take care of itself at times. Ladies. Absolutely alright, perfect,
you know, I'm so so grateful that you called us today, Andrea,
thank you and best of luck and you you show
that love. You you made us feel really good while
you were here. Thanks for listening to us. Um, yes,
don't worry. I'm not going to give her a thousand dollars. Mate.

(23:31):
I was wondering what was happening, freaking out because he
sent me a message earlier about giving away money. And
then he's like, no, no, no, that was that was
from earlier. And I'm like, so what do you want
men to do? Okay, okay, So you're saying we're now
going to give Andrea one thousand dollars? Is this is

(23:52):
this because of Alicia Keys? Okay? Alicia? Are you serious
right now? Yeah? Who knows? If I'm serious, I could
just hang up right now. You've been, you've been. So
here's the thing. Alicia Keys as this new song called
Underdog it's our favorite song is She's singing it on

(24:13):
our I Heart concert on maybe you saw it on
Fox last night, and it truly is just it's a
miracle house song that was written a long time ago
actually fits what we're all going through today. So she'm
on winning record company Arcia. They have decided that they
wanted to give money to our underdogs, people out there
who are on the front lines. We're working their asses off, uh,

(24:34):
to make sure people are feeling good and doing great things.
And so I know that if you don't need the money,
someone you know used the money, Andrea, and so we're
going to give you a thousand dollars. Oh my god.
I'm going, oh my god, thank you so so much.
Oh my god, because me and just thought a new house,

(24:58):
and and I will say, let me take this and
pay it forward because we don't need the money. So
we're definitely going to seek this and donate it. Can
you think of people in your life for an organization
that really could use a thousand dollars, because that's what
it's all about, That's what the underdog deserves, you know, Yeah, exactly,
Oh my god. I'm well, good thing. You're so welcome

(25:22):
and you know what, thank you what you're thank you
for what you're doing for everyone out there who needs
who needs some help and needs to like help get
assistance on their journey, you know, because we're all trying
to live a dream and you're helping. Andrea, hold on
one second, and thank you for listening to us today.
Don't hang up. Hold on one second. Wow, you wanted

(25:42):
to add something to that conversation, Danielle, and I wanted
to get to you what's going on. I was just
listening to what you was saying about how everybody is
so used to having that routine and then you don't
have that routine anymore. And I was listening to another
therapist say that it's it's it's important to maybe get
into a new routine and just kind of train your
brain to have a routine for now, like get up

(26:05):
at a certain time or do a certain thing at
a certain time of day. And especially if there's somebody
in your life that has an anxiety and needs that
type of routine, you know what I mean, Um, and
then just get them into that routine for now, and
then eventually when things go back to the way that
they were, UM, they can get back into their old routine.
You see, people are afraid. I mean, I wanted to
talk to you in Gandhi about this. People are afraid

(26:27):
that if they're out just walking the dog, or they're
just out taking a walk, they're not getting anything accomplished,
and they feel as if they're failing for some reason
because they're not working towards something. Here's what you're doing,
here's what you're accomplishing. You're not spreading any virus to
other people, and you're not getting the virus from any
other people. You're relaxing because that's all you can do

(26:48):
right now. So take care of yourself. You're allowed that,
You're totally allowed that you need the fresh air and
you need the Vitamin D like you actually physically need
these things. Can't just stay cooped up in your place
all day long. It's not healthy for I could use
the D. Who needs Gandhi has been what my no? No, no,

(27:15):
no no, no, no go ahead? What don't stop? What? No?
My dogs? I keep taking them on walks. The other
day I grabbed their lease to go for a walk.
They ran to the couch and laid down, like we
don't want to go on another walk. Your dogs are
like they wish you would just go back to work.

(27:35):
Just go back to work, you know. Gandhi has been
getting into these online artist battles, like who've been watching
on the battle so far? Oh they're so fun. Okay,
So it started off with Swizz Beads and Timberland And
what they're doing pretty much is they're having like little
battles on Instagram at night and they take any music
that they have a credit on and they play like

(27:56):
a minute ninety seconds and then if you're watching on
Instagram Live, you can actually vote on who you think
has the bigger hits, who's the bigger artist. And people
are getting so serious about it. But what I think
is really cool is one you're gonna see these artists
in their home and what they do. And too, I
forgot so much of the music that so many of
these people are playing, So like t Payne and Little
John how to Battle the other night, and I was like, oh, yeah,

(28:18):
that's right, he did that. It was great. So if
you're born, go Instagram. In the evening time, Tory Lanes
has like Quarantine Radio. I saw Boosey trying to pay
people to do stupid, stupid things and people are doing it.
But if you're bored at nighttime, Instagram Live definitely has
a lot going on. All right, There's so much stuff
to watch, and you know, I get a little anxious
because there's so much to watch and I can't get

(28:39):
to all of it. I love that. This is not
a bad problem to have got into. The Danielle report
on Bonus Hour is going on right now. Thank you
for listening in today, daniel What do you have to
report on right now? All right? I know, especially if
you are Brooklyn born, you're excited about this on Amazon
Pride Graves and which is the nine eighties mobs series
set in the Brooklyn neighborhood. It is out now. You're

(29:01):
gonna see a lot of your favorites. Lenny's Pizza, Llen
b John's, Delhi, Joe's Bar and Avenue, you our Lady
of Grace Church all in there. Uh and uh, I know,
scari A, you're excited to say it. They even made
sure to shoot at the now closed Vegas Diner before
it closed down for good, so you're gonna get to

(29:22):
see that there. So that is on Amazon Prime right now.
Selena Gomez is given us a new music this week
deluxe edition of her album Rare. It's gonna happen Thursday.
She's got three new tracks, Boyfriend, She and Souvenir. One
dollar for every deluxe edition purchase from her website, we'll
go to the plus one COVID nineteen release fund, So
make sure you get that this week. Chris Evans almost

(29:44):
wasn't Captain America. He said he actually turned down the
role back in two thousand eleven when they came to him,
and it was his mom that convinced him to do it.
He didn't want to do it because of the whole
paparazzi situation. He said he didn't want to live that
type of a life, said it was gonna be too crazy.
But his mom said, look, you want to pay your bills,
you want to be an actor for your life. This
is the way to do it. You have to look

(30:06):
at it as a positive, and so he did. She's
the one who turned him around and he is Captain America.
Pretty cool. Yesterday we were talking about John Krasinski and
how he did his YouTube series Some good News. He
gave us his second episode and he had the Hamilton's
cast reuniting. So a lot of shows have been reuniting
on Zoom. This is like the new thing to do.
So you had t LCS trading Trading spaces. You guys

(30:29):
remember the original cast High Pennington and Paige Davis from
back in the day. They got together the other day,
then Nanny the entire cast. You also had Victorious, the
tenth anniversary reunion of Victorious with Arianna Grande. She even
showed up for the Little Zoom reunion, so that was
cool to see. Um. Also, um, there's a new trend

(30:50):
on TikTok It's called the mug shot challenge. So they're
encouraging users to post fake images making you look like
you got arrested and it's your mug shot. Well, James
Charles made a little mistake. You know him is the
YouTube makeup artist. He posted himself doing this challenge with
a bunch of cuts and bruises on his face that
he did with makeup. People were upset because they're like,

(31:11):
it's the mug shot challenge, not the domestic abuse challenge.
So he Yeah, people were not happy. Let's just let's
just put it that way. And your weekend is still
number one on the Billboard Hot one hundred Singles chart.
Blinding Lights, his third song just spend more than one
week on the tops of Congratulations to the weekend. Hey
you want to hear some new music? I got something
for it. I love this song and it's just not

(31:33):
it's nice. It's not getting the recognition I think it deserves.
The words are perfect. It really is just about falling
in love with someone and just trying to hold on
for dear life. This is this guy. He's from Canada.
I believe his name is JP Sachs, along with our
friend Julia Michaels. Listen how clever this song is. It's
called if the World was Ending? Here it is one

(31:57):
I was just started and in traffic. I didn't feel
it when the earthquake happened, but it really got me thinking.
Were you out drinking? Were you in the living room
chilling watching television. It's been a year now. Think I
figured out how how to let you go in that
communication down. I know you know, you know you went

(32:21):
down for for even It's fine. I know you know
you know you went for each other, and it's fine.
But if the world was ending, you come out for right,
you come over and you'd stay the night. Would you
love me for the hell of it. All our fears

(32:41):
would be irrelevant. If the world is ending, you come
over right, the sky be falling, and I hold you tight,
and there wouldn't be a reason why we would even
have to say goodbye. If the world is ending, you
come over right right. If the world was ending, you

(33:04):
will come over for right right. I tried to imagine
your action. It didn't scare me when the earthquake hopping,
but already got me thinking. The night we went drinking
son't good in the house and didn't make it past
the kitchen, eye spinning in down. Think I figured out

(33:25):
how how to think about you without ripping my heart down.
And I know, you know, we know you weren't don't
full a leather, and it's fine. I know you know,
we know we were man fight each other, and it's fine.
But if the world was ending, you come over right,

(33:46):
You come over and you say the night would you
love me? Father Helen? All our fears with the elevent
If the world is ending, you come over right, sky
be fine, and I hold your type. No, there wouldn't
be a reason why we would even have to say goodbye.

(34:08):
If the one was and then you come over right
light you come over right, you come over, you come over,
you come over right. M hm. I know you know,
we know you ain't done for forever, and it's fine.

(34:29):
I know you know, we know we weren't man for
each other and it's fine. But if the one would end,
then you come out right, you come over, and you
would say a night, would you love me for the
head of it? All the hands will be a relevant

(34:49):
if the one was ending, come over right, It's gonna
be fine, all the whole you tight, No, there wouldn't
be a reason why you anyway, come on, come on

(35:15):
ze one. That is if the world was ending. Sorry,
I mutilated at the end of it. That is, JP
saxon Julia Michael's scary and pointed at me. I'm like
I should talk. Sure, It's okay, we got a lot
of it. I love that song. I just wanted to
share that with you. Hey. On tomorrow show, we have
Burne Brown and I want you to go watch her

(35:35):
podcast tonight. I want you to get to know her
if you haven't seen her specials on on Netflix. Burnet
Brown has a podcast called Unlocking Us, and she is
on top of it, like finding your true voice and
figuring out where you are in this world, whether without
the coronavirus, we need Burnet Brown and the fact that
we landed her for the show tomorrow. Nate, thank you

(35:55):
so much for hooking that up. Also, Daniel Newman, a
good friend of ours who's also you saw him on
Walking Dead. Well, he had a weird coronavirus experience, went
into the hospital with symptoms, not feeling good. They they, oh,
there's a guy mowing my yard. High. Uh, they've been
the coronavirus test and then uh, they didn't give him

(36:17):
the results, said he was too healthy to get the results,
and he kicked him out and charged him nine thousand dollars.
Oh boys, So there's a story behind that story. We'll
get to that with Daniel Newman tomorrow. Let's take a break.
We're back after this one one hundred. Get through on
the phone, or just don't want to talk to anyone,
text at You're listening to a bonus hour of Elvistrand

(36:41):
and the Ring Show. Here's Elvis. Hey, Elvis, you' oh
my aunt. Oh Hi, sorry I was pointing at you,
but I was texting. I don't know, I'm on, I
don't know, I'm like my name this I don't know. Hey,
this is Z one hundred, day number two of our experiment,

(37:04):
our bonus hour. A lot of other friends of mine
in radio like, what are you doing that for? Is
that something we should be doing? I'm like, no, hours,
let us have it. Why does they want to rip
us all? You know what I'm saying. Yeah, anyway, it's
it looks like it's shaping up to be such a
gorgeous day. I do hope you get out there and
uh and I'm not gonna I'm not gonna sit here

(37:24):
in every single time preach and say make sure you're
socially distanced while you're walking outside. I think we all
pretty much know those rules by now, don't we just doing? Though? Yest? Today,
when I was outside taking a walk, I had to
like duck and dodge people that didn't seem to care
that there was distancing still needing to happen. I mean,
I understand a lot of people are thinking that because

(37:45):
they're wearing masks and covering their mouths and nose. Now,
maybe you don't need to get far away from people.
You still need to do both the mask and the
distance very important. I get you get panicked. Yeah, if
I see someone coming in my direction, Where do I go?
Which way? All right? I don't know what. You know,
It's like you're you're getting ready to play football. I

(38:07):
mean you're you're dodging, you know what I'm saying, Just
like offense defense. It's it's like you're on the football field.
Yah froggy when you're on the grosen like at your
grocery store aisle, you have to be careful. You see
somebody coming down, like, oh crap, I have time to
grab this item and run off. And then if you
have a big if you have a big basket, do
you gotta take that into consider. It's like how do
I where do I drive this thing? And it is

(38:29):
this game we're playing. The last thing you want to
do is encroach on anyone's space. Well, I was at
the grocery store the other day and I was walking,
or I wasn't walking quickly. I walked around the corner
and there was a woman, an old lady there, and
she looks at me as if I was in her space,
but she was. There was no way we would have
known we were around the corner from each other. And
she's like, ohh And I'm like you know what, lady,

(38:52):
I said, you need to calm down, And of course
that did not end well telling people to calm down.
But you know we're all doing our best. You know, stop,
don't be in a her biddy. Do you know what
I did the other day? I saw four people, I
saw poor people down the aisle, and I was just like,
you know, I really didn't need those cheese. It's anyway,
so I'm not going to go down that aisle. I'll

(39:14):
go down the next stile because there's no way if
there's like four or more people down an aisle, I'm
not going it's not too popular. I'll go down the
what's the aisle that never has anyone on that? I'll
go down that aisle. You'll find me on the dog
food aisle. Hey, so everyone's excited about Bring a Brown
being on the show tomorrow and they want to know
what time it will be at eight East Coast times,

(39:35):
one hundred times tomorrow morning. And you know what, listened
to her podcast tonight just to kind of get ready
for her. If you've never seen Rene Brown on her
Netflix specials, she is really something special and she's been
handling this thing like a champ. I mean, she's she's great.
I really love her a lot. And how did you
get her on? Here? Straight? Nate? Who do you know? Seriously?

(39:57):
I went through her website? Oh you did. There's no
real way to a lot of people that have podcasts
that you don't have a management system, so it's all
through their their website. So there's just a media contact
and you submit your information and they're very good at
getting back to you. You were trolling her, Uh yeah, yeah,
So anybody could actually get her on if they had,

(40:19):
you know, just reached out to the website. If you
have a show, go ahead. Uh let's see. I had
another I wanted to get Governor Cuomo on, and I've
tried already, and then I found out No, no, not
at all. No. I found out the person who does

(40:40):
his booking hold on Dennis Clark. I got this from
Dennis Clark. Here we go. Her name is Melissa de Rosa.
She does booking for Governor cuomo schedule. So if you
know Melissa de Rosa, tell him Elvis Dray and morning shows.
I'm sure his daughters grew up listening to us out
on Long Island. We would love to have him on

(41:02):
our show. Just to say thank you, because you know what,
I gotta tell you, A lot of the direction and
energy we have on our show depending on the news
of the day and what Kuomo has said the day before.
It is because of what he says the day before.
And Chris Cuomo. Let's get Chris Cuomo on. He has
nothing to do during the day other than, you know,
try to survive. He he has been diagnosed in his

(41:22):
basement doing CNN every night. We would love to have
Chris Cuomo on as well. So tell the whole frigging
Cuomo family we want him on. Tell him from Elvis
the Homo to the home Cuomos. What you want Homo,
it's the Homo Cuomo Show. Yeah, that I think that's good.

(41:43):
That's Laura enough, Hey, Scary, who's texting? And who? Do
you want to say a final hello too? Before we
head up Bridget in New Rochelle checking in along with
the New Jersey Natural Gas people working hard to keep
everyone up and running and safe. And how about this.
The high school teachers in Mount Olive are printing f
teen thousand, three D shields for the front line workers

(42:03):
and distributing them at no cost using donations from the town.
That's awesome, very cool. Another great day. I loved our
bonus hour and Z one can't wait to do it
again tomorrow. We'll see you on time at six am,
one one hundred tomorrow. We were at all seven today,
but don't think we were sleeping in I will you
have a beautiful, safe day. We love you, and make

(42:24):
sure you tell someone you love them today until tomorrow,
say piece out everybody,
