Speaker 9 (01:28):
Everybody. I love you guys more, Well, we need you.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Let me tell everyone why we need Shane.

Speaker 7 (01:33):
Shane is a preacher, he's working on his third doctorate
and he is going to bless our show and God
willing we get through this day, Shane.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
But your your blessing would mean the world to us.

Speaker 9 (01:46):
Hey, buddy, we don't need mine. We need the Lord's blessing.
As you guys know, we're living it up. We're living
in a screwed up, messed up world right now. Everything
is so crazy and falling apart. We need to find
it how much God loves us despite our busy days
and we keep ourselves so preoccupied. God's here with us.
He gave us his son and Jesus we just need

(02:08):
to look to him and turn to him and put
pause in life sometimes.

Speaker 7 (02:13):
Well, thank you, Shane, you know what we got to
be reminded, no matter what your religion, no matter what
your belief you got to like stop down and just
believe things are going to be great and believe in
the good of people around us are full of good
and we got to we have to just let him
into our lives and let him be a part of
our lives. Hey, what do we have for Shane as
our first caller of the day? You know, Shane, we've
got that Saint Wendy.

Speaker 10 (02:35):
I believe you know she She did a lot of
good And we've got a fifty dollars Wendy's gift card
for you.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
How about that?

Speaker 7 (02:41):
Absolutely, Shane, thank you so much for starting our day
off on the right foot.

Speaker 9 (02:45):
The spicy chicken sandwich always hits the spot, guys, I know.

Speaker 7 (02:50):
It's many spots. All right, Shane, you have the best
day ever. Hold on one second.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
And there you go.

Speaker 7 (02:56):
You know what, He's right In many ways, we just
kind of zoomed to this world without thinking about all
the good things that are going on. God or the universe,
whatever you believe in, is always looking out for you.
But you gotta believe, you gotta be like, Okay, I'm
gonna be okay. Anyway, Well, welcome to day.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
How was your night? Anyone see any good TV?

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Any I was at Red Bull Lorena last night. That
was awesome.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
You saw the Red Bulls play. What about you? Gandhi?

Speaker 4 (03:17):
The Olympics were amazing, all right.

Speaker 7 (03:18):
I know it's amazing. All right, let's get into those
three things. Gandhi, what's going on?

Speaker 4 (03:22):
All right, let's start right there.

Speaker 11 (03:23):
The United States continues to lead the overall medal count
at the Olympics teen. USA added six more yesterday, including
in the women's gymnastics team all around final. The US
now has twenty six total medals, eight more than France,
who comes in second. China is third in the standings
with fourteen medals. With the six medals yesterday, the US
becomes the first country in history to surpass three thousand

(03:46):
medals all time. Progress is happening, but slowly, on one
of California's largest wildfires. The Park Fire is fourteen percent
contained after scorching more than three hundred and eighty six
thousand acres since last Wednesday. That's bigger than Los Angeles
in about twelve times the size of San Francisco. It
is impacting multiple counties in the area, And finally, which

(04:10):
state do you think has the most aggressive drivers?

Speaker 4 (04:13):
Any guesses?

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Uh, New Jersey, you would think.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
So, But no, it's California.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Traffic is so slow, how can you be aggressive?

Speaker 2 (04:24):
That is true.

Speaker 11 (04:27):
This is from a study that was taking place recently
or took place recently from Forbes. They gave California commuters
the top spot. The study looked at the frequency of
different types of aggressive behavior behind the wheel, like tailgating,
cutting people off, and blocking other drivers. But Elvis says
driving into New York City from New Jersey is hands
down the worst. Those are your three things?

Speaker 3 (04:48):
Thank you God. Are you guys ready for your Wednesday?

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (04:51):
All right, say July. It's the weekend.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Hey, this is Miley Cyrus.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
What office the Black Eyed Peace?

Speaker 9 (04:57):
Hey?

Speaker 1 (04:57):
This is Celini Gomez with Elvis Duran in the morning show.

Speaker 7 (05:00):
Wendy's Breakfast two for three dollars. Biggie bundles let you
choose your perfect duo from your favorite four, including a
sausage or egg and cheese biscuit, small seasoned potatoes, or
medium hot coffee.

Speaker 12 (05:11):
Limited time only during breakfast hours. US price and participation
may vary. Not valid in a combo single item at
regular price.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
Love it, Love it, Love it.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 7 (05:25):
I know a lot of people are checking in via
text saying, hey, Gandhi's mic is all distorted.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
We know it, we know it. We're working on it.
You know.

Speaker 7 (05:32):
Sometimes, you know, there's so many moving parts in this
monster of ours you can't figure out what causes distortion
or problems or whatever. We think we have it fixed, Gandhi,
give me a testing one two three.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
Let me see.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
Testing one two three. How's this?

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Oh? This sounds perfect? Okay, you're good.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
We love it.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
Okay, Yeah, yeah, it was awful a little while ago.

Speaker 9 (05:52):
You know.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
No, you sound crystal clear.

Speaker 7 (05:54):
You're all good, okay, perfect, okay, okay, crisis averted.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Nice, We're all good.

Speaker 7 (06:00):
I wish I could get you back to where it was.
It was really bad that we want we want you.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
To do that. Here's what it sounded like the feelers.

Speaker 7 (06:08):
How's that, hey, Ghandi, give me a testing one two three.

Speaker 13 (06:22):
It sounds like I'm the walking dead when they're trying
to like get in touch with people and to see
if they're radios will work in.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
The outside of the world.

Speaker 7 (06:28):
Maybe Ghandi is uh she's connecting with listeners we didn't
know we had.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
I know, all right, she's talking to new listeners.

Speaker 7 (06:37):
We need higher ratings, higher ratings through this new microphone.
All right, come back to come back to earth, Come
back to earth. Can you get it back to where
it was?

Speaker 4 (06:44):
Yes, it's better.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Hello, Yeah, yes, that's so hard.

Speaker 7 (06:47):
My goodness, it's you know, it's so funny. In the
broadcasting industry, there were people that would just go, oh
my god, I can't believe they're letting it sound like that.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
We find it funny.

Speaker 4 (07:01):
Do it more, do it more.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
I know it's more entertaining than this one. I love it.
I feel like it's like a bug deterrent.

Speaker 13 (07:14):
It's doing all sorts of facts, all right, right, like
when the flies come into the bug zapper zep.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
I know, all right, well, at least we figured out
how to fix it. But I don't. I think I
like it the other way. But how are you now?
How are you? Okay? Okay?

Speaker 7 (07:28):
Now, let's go to let's see. Oh, there's producer Sam.
What'd you have for dinner last night?

Speaker 3 (07:33):
Sam? Anything good?

Speaker 14 (07:35):
I had ramen again. This is my third night in
a row.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
Oh wow, look at you. I love a good Ramen.
It's so versatile. All right, who are you doing your
horse cups?

Speaker 14 (07:44):
Win, I'd love to do them with Danielle.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
All right, let's go, let's do it.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Keep on pushing.

Speaker 7 (09:20):
I'm expecting a fabulous August. All right, Danielle, your first
report of the day.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
What do you have coming up?

Speaker 13 (09:25):
More reasons to stop talking crap about people? And Robert
Downey Junior is getting a lot of money to come
back to the Marvel universe.

Speaker 7 (09:33):
Oh my god, wait till you hear the story that
she's gonna give you about Robert Downey Junie's payday. That
is amazing but worth every penny. I want to hear
all about the weird, wild stories you didn't learn in school.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
Let my best friend.

Speaker 7 (09:45):
Patty Steele and her podcast, The Backstory with Patty Steel
be your guide.

Speaker 3 (09:49):

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Politics sucks, but I'll tell you why this guy was
one of the worst presidents in history. Listen and subscribe
to The Backstory with Patty Steele. Please.

Speaker 7 (09:58):
The Backstory with Patty Steve new episodes every Tuesday and Friday.
Listen on the iHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcasts.

Speaker 15 (10:07):
That's so funny to listen to yeast to that in
the car that we're Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (10:14):
One of the many reasons I love watching the Olympic
coverage is you learn a lot about the world. You know,
we go about our daily lives not really caring about
anyone other than ourselves and the people immediately around us. Well,
there's a whole world out there, people, and we just
had an interesting conversation during the song there there's a
story about men's basketball at the Olympics.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
Team USA men's basketball.

Speaker 7 (10:38):
We all assume that we are the kings of basketball
in the USA, right right, we got off the Superstars.
But well, anyway, Team USA is about to play South
Sudan this afternoon, and they're saying South Sudan is very,
very great at basketball. Actually, I think in some London

(10:59):
trial or something before, they prove that they really know
their stuff a lot, and they eliminated other They've eliminated
other teams. So when TM USA plays South Sudan today,
a lot of people are going, well, let's keep an
eye on this game. We barely won against them in
the warm up games. It was like one oh one
to one hundred.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
Something like that.

Speaker 7 (11:18):
Yeah, so here we go, you know, being mighty Americans
and USA best in the world, did everything.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
Well, let's see what happens today.

Speaker 7 (11:26):
Of course I want Team USA to win, But as
we learn more about the world beyond the politics, let's
look at sports, let's look at culture, let's look at everything.
There's a whole world out there that is worth worth
checking out. And you know, let's not forget how much
we love our country. But another reason we love our
country so much is you can get out of our

(11:48):
country and go see what else is going on in
the world and then come back home. Right coming back
home from a trip overseas to me is pretty amazing.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
I don't know, what do you think anyway?

Speaker 11 (11:58):
Absolutely, I don't know that South Sudan would be a
place to go right now.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
No, no, no, no, no no, but yeah there. I love
leaving and I love coming home. It's great.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
So we did the old test.

Speaker 7 (12:11):
Scary if you could point out South Sudan on the map,
where would you go?

Speaker 16 (12:15):
My finger would go toward Asia, near the near Iraq
Ish near near that that area of the world. That's
where my finger would go.

Speaker 7 (12:25):
Well, you see, that's not unusual for someone who isn't
really familiar with South Sudan, which is a new country
by the way, because it says Sudan, Sudan sounds maybe
maybe Middle Eastern Ish Pakistan Sudan.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
It's not. It's in Africa, so.

Speaker 7 (12:42):
Off there, I know. But see, this is one of
the great things about the Olympics. We're learning more about
the globe. It's more than just New Jersey and New York.

Speaker 16 (12:49):
You know, right continent, but I would think, is there
a North Sudan since there's a South Sudan, or is
there Sudan and South.

Speaker 4 (12:55):
Sudan is the West Sudan and South Sudan?

Speaker 3 (13:00):
Those are the two? Yeah, right, and there's I had
no idea.

Speaker 7 (13:03):
But see look look, you know there are many people
driving to work right now going oh okay, yeah, and
look it's not it's not good to shame people if
they don't know the answers, because I don't. I don't
know the globe at all. I mean barely compared to
most people. But you know, it's good to learn. And
this is why we love the Olympics. And let's talk
about what else we learned yesterday. Do you guys watch
some of the of the games anything?

Speaker 13 (13:25):
I just love watching, like all the excitement after like
the US women's gymnastics team one and they are like,
you know, waving the flag and smiling and laughing and doing.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
Tiktoks and it was just so cute and so happy.
I loved it.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
Mean me too, What about you, Gandhi?

Speaker 11 (13:40):
Yeah, I mean the women's gymnastics team. I am so
impressed by them and all of their stories between Sunny
Lee and Simone Biles. What those two have gone through,
and I mean all of them, the training and what
they put into it. But those two stories are fascinating.
And then I love that we're just in an age
where immediately you go online and they've posted all of
their celebrat having such a good time.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
That is true. You know that wasn't happening, you know,
several years ago. I love it very much.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
And you know what else is fun now?

Speaker 13 (14:08):
I think because you know how the algorithms work on
social so now because I've been watching so much of
those videos, all these videos are popping up of young
kids or younger the younger generation like doing their gymnastics
in their house. And I cannot believe the equipment that
parents have put into their house to train future gymnasts.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
It's insane, but it's so impressive. It's it's equipment.

Speaker 7 (14:31):
You can just like just put put one of those bars,
you know, in the top of the doorway.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
Yeah, you know, that's all you need.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
That's it, okay, whatever, you can.

Speaker 7 (14:39):
Use the coffee table as a balance beam, it's all
you It's all right there, all right, let's get into
Danielle in her report, watched. Hey, can you start with
Robert Downey Junior? This is my favorite story. No, I
don't think anyone's shocked about this.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
Right, No, I don't think so either.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
I'm so cool. Good for him.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
So, Robert Downey Junior. Hold on, where the heck did
I put it?

Speaker 3 (14:58):
I'm sorry to of the whole word.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
No, that's okay. Hold on, She's.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
Like, damn you.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
Oh, oh my gosh, wow, it.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Really is.

Speaker 4 (15:07):
There not a lot of stiff here.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Hold On, I don't know what all the.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
Start she has? Oh my god, gandhi, look at that
he found Daniels.

Speaker 17 (15:13):
Oh, I got it.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
Okay. So Robert Downy we know.

Speaker 13 (15:16):
Robert Downey Jr. Returning to the Marvel universe. He is
the villain Doctor Doom. And some people are excited. Some
people not so excited. Some people are like, well, wait
a minute, he was Iron Man.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
Whatever.

Speaker 13 (15:26):
Anyway, this is this man is being paid more than
eighty million dollars to return to Marvel.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
Now.

Speaker 13 (15:33):
This is on top of the eighty million that the
studio is already paying the Russo brothers to direct Avengers
Secret Wars and Avengers Doomsday. And then the directors will
reportedly a reportedly additional compensation when the film passes seven
hundred and fifty million and one billion in sales. Now
Robert Downey Jr. Will be getting, in addition to a

(15:54):
significant amount of cash, perks like private jet travel, dedicated security,
a trailer encampment.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
I mean, it's ridiculous.

Speaker 13 (16:03):
And they're saying over the years to play Iron Man,
he's made like five hundred million and six million dollars.
Good for him, it is insane. I mean he's worth
every penny. But that is And think about his story
if you don't know the Robert Downey doing your story
where he was on drugs, all kinds of other things
people were taking bets on when the guy would pass away.

(16:25):
He has come a long damn way and it is
amazing and it just shows you that you can do it.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
You can bring your life back. So man really kudos
for him.

Speaker 7 (16:35):
So I should stop the drugs and maybe y become
the next Iron Man.

Speaker 4 (16:39):
Become the next Iron Man.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
There, Dan.

Speaker 3 (16:42):
Can do it.

Speaker 4 (16:43):
I have total faith that you can do it.

Speaker 11 (16:45):
But I have a question, because Danielle, I know you
know a bit about the Marble University. How does he
go from Iron Man to now completely new character, like,
how does that work?

Speaker 2 (16:52):
So that's the question.

Speaker 13 (16:53):
That's why a lot of people are upset because they're like, well,
we can't see him, you know, iron Man spoiler alert died.
So a lot of people are like, well, you know
he can you know, it's not you just gotta him.
He's an actor, so you just got to look at
him as an actor, you know.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
And then he's gone, yeah, he'll have the doos day,
like the.

Speaker 13 (17:09):
Happy you know whatever. But still some people are not
happy about it because they're like this, you know.

Speaker 7 (17:15):
Danielle, you can't say things like that like that. And
by the way, iron Man spoiler alert died, that movie
came out listening.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
Oh that's not how a spoiler alert worse.

Speaker 4 (17:28):
Oh did I say that?

Speaker 2 (17:30):
Did I say? Okay?

Speaker 3 (17:31):
Sorry you said both at the same time.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
I'm sorry next time, I'll give you some time in between.
I apologies. All right, let's go to the Olympics. Ferman
So Moanbiles is now the.

Speaker 13 (17:41):
Most decorated US gymnast in history thanks to Team US
they bringing home the gold. She has eight Olympic medals,
five gold, one silver, and two bronze. So congratulations, They're
so incredible. And the NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, he's watching
the Summer Olympics very closely because he's thinking to expand
the NFL.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
They're International Games to France.

Speaker 13 (18:03):
The potential NFL home in Paris would be the eighty
thousand seat stadium that is home to the Summer Olympics
closing ceremony. So we'll see if he does that. And
according to a new pole, who are the greatest Summer
Olympians of all time? Well, I will let you know
who they think. Obviously Simone Biles, she's in there, but
she is a close second too.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
Swimmer Michael Phelps.

Speaker 13 (18:24):
Michael Phelps, they're saying is the greatest US Summer Olympian
of all time?

Speaker 3 (18:30):
Hold on, now, I mean I was growing up.

Speaker 7 (18:32):
Hold on, and when I was growing up, before you
guys were around Olympic swimming. This guy's name, his name
was Mark Spitz. He was huge, massive, he was a superstar.
But this is before you were born. So this has
been going back, well, you know, as you know, the
Olympics have been going back several years. Yes, I think, yeah,
But that was a big that was the big joke.

(18:53):
I mean, how do they fill the Olympic pools. Well
Mark Spitzful.

Speaker 13 (19:00):
Angelina Jolie, and Brad Pitt's sunpacks ended up in the
hospital after he crashed his electric bike into the back
of a car.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Guys, he was not wearing a helmet. What have we
said about that?

Speaker 13 (19:09):
Initial reports are saying that he is okay, thank goodness.
But this isn't the first time he's had some issues
with his bike. So yeah, just be careful.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
And these are.

Speaker 13 (19:19):
Reasons we shouldn't be trashing people or saying the wrong things. Mentally,
we don't know what's going on with people. And I've
told you this before after reading Melsey's book from the
Spice Girls, certain things that everybody thought were just us saying,
Oh she's the skinny one, Oh she's the quiet one,
they actually had an impact on her mental health because
there was more going on behind the scenes than we thought. Well,

(19:40):
Halsey is thinking she shouldn't have come back because she
released Lucky on Friday, and she says, my own fans
are hands down meaner to me than any other people
on the planet. She said, it used to be just
a minority that were awful to me. Now it seems
like a majority. I want to crawl in a hole
and I regret coming back. And then we have Selena

(20:02):
Gomez who was reacting to another TikTok, this time calling
out a fan who wanted her to go back to
her it girl era, and the video featured footage of
Selena back in the day when Papa Razzi were all
around her, including her ex boyfriend Justin Bieber's song company,
and the caption read at the time, she would never
have gotten engaged to Benny. It was her it girl error,

(20:22):
and Selena said, kind of makes me laugh because I
was so depressed back then. And we remember because Selena
had come up to the studio and you remember Elvis
her saying off the air she was going through a
lot and she couldn't trust people and she was very sad.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
I remember this.

Speaker 7 (20:39):
And you know, and yes, usually people like Selena, they
don't want to bring that into the room were being interviewed.
They just want to but it was affecting her so heavily. Yeah,
because she brought she brought it up to us. I'm like,
oh my god, I felt awful.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
So can we just be nice?

Speaker 13 (20:53):
He had nothing nice to say on social shut up,
don't say anything.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
Yeah, Dante.

Speaker 4 (20:58):
Oh please, I do Olympic.

Speaker 13 (21:01):
Highlights with Kevin Hart and Keenan Thompson if you want
a little funny funny. Primetime Olympic coverage continues, Who Wants
to Be a Millionaire? By the way, tonight's men's basketball,
beach volleyball, and women's soccer. You have episode three of
Time Bandits and the fourth season premiere of Unsolved Mysteries
over on Netflix.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
And that's my Danielle report.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
Thank you, Danielle.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
This is Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 7 (21:22):
From the world of m Night Shamalan comes the thrilling
summer concert film Trap, a loving father, a serial killer,
and a stage set for his capture, starring Josh Hartnett.
Get your tickets now at Fandango. Trap only in theaters
this Friday, rated PG thirteen.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 7 (21:44):
Oh, I got so you know here it is the
end of July. We're rolling into August. Sorry if if
I had to remind you of that, but it's true.
The summer is rolling by. Summer is not over yet though,
and here in New York City the tourists are still
coming in and having a great time.

Speaker 3 (21:58):
So I'm typing this into my search.

Speaker 7 (22:00):
There's this new public restrooms list that's out and they
want everyone. They're going through a Times Square and handing
these pamphlets out to tourists. Hey, if you need to
go to the bathroom, here's some great places. So how
would you feel if you're like you owned a hotel
or a restaurant and you say you saw on this
list your hotel, Like what you're telling people to come

(22:23):
to my place to go pee?

Speaker 3 (22:24):
What are you doing?

Speaker 11 (22:25):
Yeah, there would immediately be a lock on that bathroom
where you have to purchase something to go get Yeah,
get in there.

Speaker 7 (22:31):
Here it does this the bathroom map. Well, here's what
we want you to know. And we're just talking about this.
If you're a tourist walking around New York City, find
the nearest really nice hotel, just walk through. As if
you have a room, they're not going to stop you.
No doorman's gonna welcome you, because they think if you
don't have a room, maybe you're going to eat at

(22:52):
their restaurant, or you're going to go to their bar,
or you're going to go to their whatever to make
a reservation for another room. They're not going to try
to keep you out of there unless you look like
totally whatever.

Speaker 3 (23:04):
They may profile you if.

Speaker 13 (23:05):
You you know, if I've gone so far as to
have a conversation with the doorman and I and I
pretend I'm like, gosh, I still love staying here, and
like I walk right in and he's like, oh, welcome back,
and I'm like thanks, and I go straight to the
bathroom and leave.

Speaker 2 (23:18):
It's great.

Speaker 7 (23:19):
But we're not talking just about bathrooms. I mean, these
are some of the best bathrooms in New York City. Yeah,
they've had all sorts of toy of trees and like carfoon.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
Yeah. I stopped at one.

Speaker 10 (23:31):
I think I was meeting you someplace and I had
to make a pit stop and I go into this
beautiful hotel and they had like that Gilbert and som
soap just sitting there. I'm like, what's to keep me
from just taking this? You know, like cloth towels, cloth towels.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
I'm like, this is insane. Why do I not come here?

Speaker 8 (23:52):
All?

Speaker 3 (23:52):
They's better than my bathroom at home.

Speaker 11 (23:54):
It is hotel management across the city hates us right.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
Now, I know, but you know what I know.

Speaker 7 (24:01):
But if you if you had a friend who was
a manager of a hotel and you went on vacation
with them, they would say the same thing. If you're
like in Rome or whatever, let's go over here to
uh the Hassler Hotel, which is a great hotel in Rome.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
Let's go let's go pooh in their bathroom.

Speaker 7 (24:15):
And speaking of poohing, I know it's disgusting, but we
talk about it all the time. They have restrooms that
have full floor to ceiling doors for your bath for
your toilets. It's not like stalls. We can see feet. Yeah, yeah,
you know what I'm saying. You have your own private
You can actually sit down and take a nap in there.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (24:35):
Some have couches in there, like couches, like fabric upholstered couches.

Speaker 3 (24:40):
Beautiful.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
They should not actually in the stall the couch.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
Like it's a couch.

Speaker 7 (24:46):
Toilet has like three seats on it. Well, I know,
but you know, there's a lot of lot of tricks
of the trade like that. No matter where you're visiting,
if you're in Miami or wherever, there's always a great
hotel close by. Usually if you're out walking around and
being a tourist or you know whatever, go to the
bathroom they're they're they're opening waiting for you. What's scary.

Speaker 16 (25:09):
There's this girl on TikTok and on Instagram who has
a lot of followers, and I don't know what the
name of the account is, but she always starts everyone
with come take a blank with me at whatever.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
And literally I saw that.

Speaker 16 (25:22):
You only see her from first person, like looking down
at her feet, and then she goes into the bathroom
and then you're looking at she She rates everything that
they give you. And I'm not even kidding you. I've
been I've been fascinating. I haven't seen her lately, but
sitting out there. If you google her and.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
She she rates what they give you. What are you
talking about?

Speaker 16 (25:41):
Like like you know, like if there's certain things available
in the bathroom, Like she rates the toilet paper quality
are there?

Speaker 3 (25:47):
Extras are there? Like mints are there?

Speaker 16 (25:48):
Things are what's the quality of the toilet that she's
sitting on? She does she does a practice flush. I
swear to god, she's so funny. And she's been doing
this for a couple of years now, So people know
who I'm talking about.

Speaker 3 (25:59):
Some people do, but try and google heart. It's come
take a blank with me? If you Google that you'll
find her. Gotcha.

Speaker 7 (26:07):
Now, in some of these hotels, I mean, these are
the hotels where rooms start at twenty five hundred a
night and more.

Speaker 3 (26:12):
I mean these are beyond right.

Speaker 7 (26:15):
But those hotels have the world's best, most beautiful, stunning bathrooms.
We could go on and on for hours just about
bathrooms in hotels.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
We're looking out for you.

Speaker 7 (26:27):
Speaking of tourism here in New York City, have you
guys walked out into the real world, and especially in
our studios were right up the street from Radio City
Music Hall. That's a huge corridor of movement because they
come over from Fifth Avenue and around Rockefeller Center. They're
walking around the ice skating rink, even though there no
ice now, But that's like a heavy hub of activity.

Speaker 3 (26:47):
Is it still heavy? Are you guys noticing?

Speaker 8 (26:50):
Oh?

Speaker 11 (26:50):
Yeah, yesterday I was there pretty late. When I left,
it was like three, two thirty three, and it was
popping all around us.

Speaker 4 (26:57):
I mean, just people everywhere.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
And it was beautiful.

Speaker 13 (27:00):
The weather was pretty decent yesterday, so it was really
nice to be out.

Speaker 9 (27:03):
Well.

Speaker 3 (27:03):
I love that, believe me.

Speaker 7 (27:05):
Uh, if you live in a city like this and
you want to get from point a to point B.
Sometimes you're going to be slowed down by people who
are walking, you know, all the way across the sidewalk
with their family holding hands, like it's.

Speaker 3 (27:17):
Like they're playing Red Rover, Red Rover, Come over.

Speaker 10 (27:19):
You know.

Speaker 3 (27:19):
I was like, well you stop that.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
Well, I'm so excited.

Speaker 13 (27:22):
We're going to be tourists on Friday because we have
a friend in from the UK and we're going to
car Mines, We're going to Rise New York. We're doing
Times Square, We're going to a Broadway show. I mean,
we have a day of New York City stuff. And
you know, I love the fact that we live here.
And I still get goosebumps when I go to Times Square,
even though I grew up here, and it's just, I

(27:42):
don't know, it's the coolest feeling ever. I love being
a tourist in my own city.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
It's great.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
And you brought up a good point.

Speaker 7 (27:47):
Rise New York is probably one of the most interesting
stops you can make if you're anywhere in near Times Square.

Speaker 13 (27:53):
Yeah, and if you're if you are a like if
you don't know a lot about the history of New York,
Rise New York is an awesome place to go. And
learn the history of New York. There's a cool ride
at the end. There might be an Elvis Duran in
the radio part of the right New York.

Speaker 3 (28:07):
Maybe maybe I am posted on the wall.

Speaker 13 (28:10):
Yeah, it's very cool to see.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
It's awesome.

Speaker 3 (28:14):
Yeah. So that's the thing.

Speaker 7 (28:16):
No matter where you live, you're living in Miami, Philly,
or Cleveland or Richmond. I mean, there's a lot of
history going on in your city, but you just don't
look at it.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
You don't.

Speaker 7 (28:25):
You're because you're so busy going from from work to home,
home to work, and you do the routine every day.
You know, you're living in the middle of some place
that's really interesting. You're not getting out and you're looking
at this stuff. So don't forget that.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
Yeah, restaurant week. Is it a restaurant week by us?
I'm here?

Speaker 7 (28:41):
Well yeah, well a lot of cities are doing restaurant week.
I know Miami spices around soon and or now or
I don't know. Just get out there in these restaurant
weeks are such a great deal. There are restaurants in
every city that are you know, they're expensive. They mark
that food up because it you know, they're popular and
the food's great Restaurant Week gives you an opportunity to

(29:04):
go in and get a three course meal for sometimes
half the price you would spend on a regular meal there,
so cool. Thanks, excuse me, thanks for that reminder.

Speaker 13 (29:14):
If you go to nyctourism dot com, it's actually a
really cool place to go to see a lot of
these things that are happening in New York, like restaurant
Week and where you can go. So if you're coming
into town or you're in town and you just don't
know what to do in your own town, there you go.

Speaker 7 (29:28):
A lot of people are rating the bathrooms texting in.
I know Tracy on line twenty one. She is a
very favorite spot when she's walking around Central Park. Central
Park South or North or whatever, it's south right there.
You like to drop in and go to the bathroom where.

Speaker 17 (29:45):
I'm not often, But if I'm in the city and
i know that there's not great bathrooms around, especially like
Central Park, I'll go into the Waldorf Astoria because they
have the best bathrooms. I think I'm thirty seven and
they're the best bathroom I've ever been in.

Speaker 7 (30:01):
Hell, the Waldorf is great bathrooms. Or go to the Plaza.
It was good enough for a Macaulay Culkin. You know,
you bring up a good point, Tracy. If you're in
Central Park, those bathrooms there, you know, you walk in,
you're like, oh god, I mean they're not the best
I know, but the Waldorf's right there. The people at
the Waldorf right now, I'm going up. Stop talking about.

Speaker 3 (30:23):
Our bathroom exactly. They are beautiful. All right. Thanks for
the tip, Tracy, Thank you for listening. You have a
great day.

Speaker 1 (30:29):
The Mercedes Benz Interview Lounge.

Speaker 7 (30:32):
M Night Shamalan, Are you nervous right before a film
comes out?

Speaker 3 (30:35):
I don't like that part of it.

Speaker 13 (30:37):
But he wanted your baby, so it's like your baby's
about to go out into.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
The world and you want everyone to be like your babies.

Speaker 7 (30:42):
Sometimes they don't like your baby. The Mercedes Benz Dream
Days are here. Learn more at mbusa dot com slash
dream tell Lister.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
I ran in the Morning show Elvista ran and the
Morning Show.

Speaker 7 (30:57):
So let's talk about this week's release of your podcast
on the side, Gandhi, Oh h is it just is
it just interviews with people in the show.

Speaker 3 (31:07):
I mean it's it's not tell us what it's about
this week?

Speaker 11 (31:10):
Okay, So this week, we got ahold of Josh Coaster
Boy Josh and got to know Josh a little bit,
and it might be one of my favorite episodes of
the entire podcast. Learned a lot a lot about.

Speaker 3 (31:23):
Okay, is there a not safe for work?

Speaker 4 (31:27):
Oh god?

Speaker 11 (31:29):
Yeah, absolutely, do not listen to at work? Maybe do
not listen with children? Oh our lovely intern Celia, she
was uploading it last night and she said, I am
dying laughing at this.

Speaker 4 (31:40):
Oh my god, what's wrong with you guys?

Speaker 7 (31:42):
Well, we sort of know the backstory behind the stories
that you're telling with our coworkers on this podcast, and
I think I think it's very bold and god courageous. Yes,
that that Coast to Boy Josh came out with this revelation,
I think so too.

Speaker 4 (32:01):
I was very proud of him.

Speaker 11 (32:02):
And he said, you know what, it's important to be
transparent and be vulnerable and let people know who you
are and where you stand.

Speaker 4 (32:08):
I was like, yeah, that's right. Tell everyone happened.

Speaker 3 (32:11):
But his family's going to listen to that?

Speaker 4 (32:13):
Maybe maybe not, Maybe we could keep it away from
his family.

Speaker 3 (32:16):
How do you keep a podcast away from anyone?

Speaker 9 (32:19):
Well?

Speaker 11 (32:19):
I don't I don't know that his family that they're
big listeners of my podcast, so maybe they'll just never
find out about it, or they're not listening to this
right now and it'll be okay.

Speaker 7 (32:28):
Well all right, I know that it may sound like
we're we're like, we're really promoting it to get you
to listen because of what No, I think you really
should check this out.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
Oh scary, he's got a cough.

Speaker 5 (32:40):
How is.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
Coffee? Yeah?

Speaker 7 (32:44):
Right, speaking of okay, so check it out. Sauce on
the side. Uh, you're gonna hear several stories. There's the
Andrew story about the first day he came in for
his interview with me.

Speaker 11 (33:01):
That one's totally safe. He I mean, we can we
can let that one out. He was talking about how
he was like so excited and he came in in
a suit and tie and you were like, get out
of here, nerd, Like.

Speaker 7 (33:14):
What are you doing suit and tie? We don't wear
suits and ties here. But it was very nice.

Speaker 3 (33:19):
He tried.

Speaker 7 (33:20):
He really wanted a job here. He really wanted it.
So anyway he got it, my assistant Andrew, and now
he's look, he's moved on. Now he's the operations manager
of our show Big Time.

Speaker 3 (33:32):
Yeah. I know, let's talk about what's going on. COVID.

Speaker 7 (33:36):
COVID is everywhere, and I don't know if people are
noticing this, but it is. I know a lot of
people and a lot of people who work at doctor's offices,
and you know, whatever they will tell you, make no
mistake about it. This thing is back and people are
getting it and people are getting it treated. But don't
I mean, don't ignore it. The numbers are growing, right,
I mean, what are you singing the news?

Speaker 8 (33:57):
Oh?

Speaker 11 (33:58):
Absolutely, there are some new variants out right now. One
of them is they're calling it the flirt variant, and
there's I believe it's a K three variant. They're both
very very contagious, and it starts off with a sniffle,
maybe a sore throat.

Speaker 4 (34:11):
If you are feeling icky, just test you know.

Speaker 11 (34:14):
They're again, very contagious. So people are getting them almost instantly,
and you don't want to be the spreader. If you
have it, find.

Speaker 7 (34:21):
Out And also if you are around people who have
the sniffles, maybe it wouldn't be awful to test yourself
because you may not show symptoms.

Speaker 13 (34:29):
Yeah, because a lot of people don't. I swear that
there are some people that are just asymptomatic. And I mean,
God bless them for being as because I feel like
even when you get like a COVID vaccine or you
get like a booster. I know me, when I get
the booster, I have one hundred and five fever the
day after. That's just how my body reacts to it.

Speaker 2 (34:49):
But I know other people who get a booster and
they get nothing, nothing at all.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
Well that's the thing. You could be a carrier. I
not even know it.

Speaker 7 (34:55):
But just just test yourself and don't be selfish if
you're working with other people, like in close quarters. Just
saying anyway, so take care of yourself. Let's see what
else is going on in the news, you know, it's
about the Olympics. Everyone I know is just on it
every night, just catching up with what happened, you know,
during the day or whatever. I'm watching the news now

(35:16):
and US relay team wins Silver Lea and the stories
it is awesome, and the stories behind all these people
and how they got to the Olympics and they were
told they would never compete because of whatever happened in
their lives.

Speaker 3 (35:30):
Look good. I love it.

Speaker 4 (35:32):
Man.

Speaker 11 (35:34):
It's really tough because France is so far ahead of
us as far as the time goes to get on
social media and not have it all ruined for you,
because obviously we're not watching this stuff until primetime in
the evening. So by the time it came around to
me watching the actual events, I knew what happened with
the women's gymnastics, and I was like, damn right whatever.

Speaker 4 (35:52):
First I know.

Speaker 7 (35:53):
But even if it's spoiled watching it, still it's worth it,
you know, I think, because you're going to see a
lot more and learn a lot more from that. Oh
my god, these rugby the rugby players, Oh yeah, how
do they not how do they not die?

Speaker 2 (36:08):
I don't know.

Speaker 13 (36:09):
I always wonder why there's not safety equipment with things like, like,
you know, it's crazy they are.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
They go in hard and everything I really do.

Speaker 7 (36:18):
Oh my gosh, these legs on these these women, I
mean they can they could pull a plow. I'm I'm
not saying they should pull.

Speaker 4 (36:26):
A plow, but I'm saying, just absolute beasts.

Speaker 11 (36:30):
I look at these bodies and just think, Wow, that's
what it looks like when you spend every second of
every day just training.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
Yep.

Speaker 4 (36:38):
Good for them.

Speaker 7 (36:39):
Now looking at the numbers, am I corrected, saying, so
far at this moment, USA has the most medals.

Speaker 4 (36:46):
I think so, yes, USA has the most medals right.

Speaker 3 (36:48):
Now, like twenty six medals.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
I think, yep, we have people competing. Do we know?
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (36:55):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
That's a good question.

Speaker 4 (36:56):
I don't know either.

Speaker 11 (36:57):
Yeah, I think the host country usual he has the most,
but I can be.

Speaker 4 (37:02):
Wrong about that.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
You don't know.

Speaker 7 (37:04):
It's a lot of fun to watch. I just can't
wait till Break Dancing gets out. It's happening August.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
What ninth is? What you told me?

Speaker 2 (37:10):
You're near the end.

Speaker 7 (37:12):
See, they're saving the best for the last go ahead.

Speaker 11 (37:16):
Have we figured out what they're gonna do about the
triathlon events because they can't swim in the river now
they thought they were going to be able to, but
now they're not going to be able to.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
Yeah, they put a bunch of stuff.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
But no answers have come through. We'll find out.

Speaker 7 (37:30):
And watching our friend Hoda from NBC, she's having the
best time and she is going up to these Olympic
competitors and hugging them, like making out with them.

Speaker 3 (37:42):
Because he's so proud of me.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
She's so cute.

Speaker 3 (37:45):
It is so great anyway, So watch the Olympics.

Speaker 7 (37:47):
Will keep you informed with anything we learned that happens
into the three things we need to know from Gandhi.

Speaker 3 (37:52):
But first she had something to say.

Speaker 11 (37:53):
Oh, well, I was just going to ask if any
of you guys had seen the surfer who got hit
by the wave and ended up face down, ass up
with his butt out anyone?

Speaker 7 (38:02):
No, No, I'm let me do a search for that.
Do I search for butt up, face down? Is that
what I'm searching for?

Speaker 11 (38:08):
Search German surfer hit by wave Olympics and you'll see
it's like, oh man, not only did you wipe out,
but that's what we all see.

Speaker 7 (38:18):
Well did you see the photo of the surfer who
was levitating like he was just levitating in mid air too?
Oh yeah, you know, I do a search for all
of these things into the three things you need to know?

Speaker 3 (38:27):
What's going on?

Speaker 4 (38:28):
Okay?

Speaker 11 (38:29):
The Biden administration is announcing another round of student debt relief.

Speaker 4 (38:32):
The Department of Education.

Speaker 11 (38:33):
Says, starting tomorrow, it'll start emailing borrowers who have at
least one outstanding federal student loan to let them know
about potential upcoming relief. The new steps are the latest
effort to help millions of borrowers who've been buried under
a mountain of student loan interests, or who took on
debt to pay for college programs that let them worse
off financially, and those who have been paying their loans

(38:54):
for twenty or more years. Twenty years paying off your
student loansoof wow. A Missouri woman is suing at Kansas
Hospital after denying her an emergency abortion. In the suit,
she says she went into premature labor at eighteen weeks
and was told by the hospital that there's a huge
risk if she didn't have an abortion, but then was
still turned away. She was also denied care in her

(39:16):
home state of Missouri because of the state's abortion man,
but was ultimately able to get that abortion two days
later in Illinois. She is now dealing with extensive damage
to her health. The suit argues that the denial of
an abortion violated federal law that mandates stabilizing emergency care.
And finally, we've been talking about the Olympics all day,
but today, as Danielle mentioned, Lebron James and the US

(39:38):
men's basketball team squares off with South Sudan looking to
improve to two and zero. The US women's soccer team
will take on Australia. Five more metal events will take
place in swimming. Medals will also be handed out in
cycling BMX freestyle, which is al so awesome. Tennis continues
at Roland Garros, and the US women's volleyball team also

(39:58):
in action, facing Serbia.

Speaker 4 (40:00):
So there's still a lot going on today. And those
are your three things.

Speaker 7 (40:03):
And by the way, I reach around for your question
about the triathlon. They did start swimming in the river
again yesterday, saying the levels of fecal matter hurt down.

Speaker 13 (40:13):
Oh my gosh, it's an amount of poop now exactly.

Speaker 7 (40:18):
But they're saying it's happening today this morning. As a
matter of fright, they verified it. The bacteria in the river.
I believe it's lower than it should be or has
to be. And I answer to your question, in the
USA has the most people competing, over five hundred and
ninety people. I think it's even men and women if
I'm not mistaken.

Speaker 2 (40:34):
Wow.

Speaker 7 (40:34):
And then France's second, and then Australia, Germany and Japan.
And here you go, hey, we have one thousand dollars
free money phone tap thanks to Eminem's coming up for
you after this.

Speaker 15 (40:42):
Another free money phone tap coming up next. You're for
the Alvis Duran in the Morning Show Free money phone tap,
no purchase necessary, boyd in Montana, New Mexico, Washington.

Speaker 1 (40:52):
We're prohibited.

Speaker 15 (40:53):
For more info and rules, go to Elvis durand dot
com slash contest Alvis Duran in the Morning Shows in
the Morning Show.

Speaker 3 (41:05):
Hey, you know what in here?

Speaker 7 (41:06):
It is the last day of July and I still
can't get over that because August is.

Speaker 3 (41:11):
Tomorrow, duh. And my birthday is what next Monday?

Speaker 8 (41:15):
Yes?

Speaker 7 (41:15):
Yeah, you know we've been partying so hard these past
two weeks leading up to my birthday because you guys
surprise me with a premature birthday celebration. And then there
was that surprise party we had Saturday that I didn't
know about and that was wow, just woa. We're still
living with that and surviving that, trying to anyway, and

(41:38):
I'm not even in my birthday month. I just somebody
tells me I need to get to my birthday, cross
that finish line, and then just shut her down.

Speaker 3 (41:47):
You know what I'm saying is that makes.

Speaker 2 (41:50):
Yes, okay.

Speaker 3 (41:51):
I mean, like join a convent or something. Can I
do that?

Speaker 2 (41:55):
No, I don't think so, but not allowed.

Speaker 7 (41:58):
I mean, I just I really think it's we've been
going full throttle, and I want to go full throttle
because I have friends coming into town and I've got
things to do, and I don't want to give up yet.
My birthday is not until Monday, and taking the day
off so I can just do what I want to do.
But I gotta draw the line after my birthday. I
hope I can wish me luck can do this. I

(42:21):
hope I survived through my birthday. That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (42:23):
You start saying no, say no, no.

Speaker 3 (42:27):
Well absolutely I do, and I will. I have to
because it's just.

Speaker 7 (42:34):
You know, turning sixty is an interesting thing because you know, look,
I know that I can feel my body creaking a
little more when I stand up, you know, getting off
the floor and stuff like that.

Speaker 3 (42:44):
At least I can still sit on the floor. You know.
That's good. Yeah, that's good.

Speaker 2 (42:46):
Yeah, Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 11 (42:47):
That's like a big marker of health, isn't it. If
you can get up off the floor easily when you're
sitting on the floor.

Speaker 3 (42:52):
Scary?

Speaker 7 (42:53):
Can you stand up and sit on the floor. Yeah, okay, okay,
here we go. Now, how do you want him to sit?

Speaker 3 (42:59):
Sit like criss cross apple sauce.

Speaker 7 (43:02):
Criss cross apple sauce. Listen, okay, listen to him just
sitting down on the floor. He sounds like he's training. Okay, floor,
all right, I want you to get up right now.

Speaker 4 (43:13):
Go No hands, no hand, no hands.

Speaker 5 (43:17):
They're learning.

Speaker 16 (43:18):
I'm training for this at the gym. I'm learning how
to get up fast.

Speaker 7 (43:21):
Okay, no, no, no, no, no, no, you're not but you're not
listening to us. Sit back down. You've got to get
up without using your hands without no hands.

Speaker 3 (43:29):
No hands.

Speaker 4 (43:30):
Keep your little hands up in the air.

Speaker 7 (43:32):
Yeah, keep your hands in the air for balance. Okay,
here we go.

Speaker 3 (43:39):
I use my elbow. You know, he looks like he
looks like that wavy thing in front of used car dealers,
Like did you use my sheet?

Speaker 16 (43:46):
And I used my elbow for the to lean on
the counter. Oh my okay, I was on my knees
though at that point I got on my knees without
using my hands.

Speaker 3 (43:54):
That's as far as I got.

Speaker 13 (43:56):
Are you training for you know, if you fall down,
so you know, in case no one hears you, you
can get back.

Speaker 3 (44:02):
God.

Speaker 16 (44:03):
No, no, no, no, that's there's some seriousness to that.
My trainer said to me, He's like, I gotta be honest.
All I care about is that when you're old and alone,
that you can always get out of bed and you
can always pick yourself up off the floor. So so
we're working on the court my core.

Speaker 2 (44:19):
Ye, you're going to be old and alone.

Speaker 7 (44:22):
No, no, I mean to be honest. Half of his
life is old and alone. I mean he's already rehearsing
for that.

Speaker 3 (44:29):
It's a real thing for people, though, it really is.

Speaker 16 (44:32):
Many people can't even get themselves. You want to pick
up your own body.

Speaker 3 (44:35):
No, it is. I tell you.

Speaker 7 (44:36):
When Uncle Johnny was not doing well, there were times
he would fall, he could not get up, he would
he would lay on the floor for a long excuse me,
a long time before someone could get into his apartment
to help him out. And uh, you know you got
to stay on that. You gotta stay on it anyway.
I'm not I'm not trying to make hissell hereyone's dying

(44:57):
here from old age. But you know, as you get older,
I mean that's you know, time is passing. It doesn't
bother me I'm not one of those people who get
scared of the next birthday.

Speaker 3 (45:05):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (45:06):
I mean, that's stupid, that's a waste of time and energy, right, Yeah,
but I am noticing, you know things. I just had
my new physical, I've got more stuff to do, got
to go, like for cardiogram, this and that and maybe
kram a thing up my button with a camera.

Speaker 3 (45:21):
You know everything.

Speaker 2 (45:22):
Don't worry about that. You're good sleep.

Speaker 3 (45:24):
From that I know anyway.

Speaker 7 (45:27):
So but I'm learning this and no matter what age
you are, hear me out, you need to keep on
this earlier in your life. You do, because there will
will come a time in your life where you can't
reverse a lot of things. That's why you know, working
out and in at least you know, walking and just

(45:47):
keeping energetic energy going and moving at an early age.
It's very important. And because my mom and dad, God
rest their souls, they they live their latter years just
sitting there because they'd made bad decisions earlier in their lives,
you know, and they just kind of died. I always say,
they kind of died on the vine a little bit. Yeah,

(46:09):
And that's when I decided to lose weight. And now
when I'm turning sixty. I have another I've got another
rep up I got to get into.

Speaker 3 (46:15):
So here we go.

Speaker 11 (46:17):
It is. It's so tough too, because the less active
you are, the harder it is to get moving. But
once you can get over that hump and you are
working out, like Scary is right now, and you're working out,
you have more energy, and you have more hours in
the day. Because you have more energy, it's more fun.
I don't see more energy. I don't see more energy,
and Scary whatsoever?

Speaker 16 (46:37):
I do come home from the gym, take a shower,
and I PLoP into my bed and rot for the
rest of the day.

Speaker 4 (46:41):
And I gotta start that all right, Scary has not
been helped.

Speaker 3 (46:44):
What were you saying, Danielle.

Speaker 13 (46:46):
I think it's so easy to fall off the wagon.
It's just not as easy to get back on the wagon.

Speaker 2 (46:51):
You know what I mean. It's crazy, yeah, but.

Speaker 7 (46:53):
You gotta do it, all right. Let's move on, take
care of yourself. I guess I guess that's the bottom line.
Let's roll into your thousand dollars free money phone top.

Speaker 1 (47:00):

I do well. Let's listen in, shall we don't.

Speaker 1 (48:17):
Answer the phone. Elvis Durande, Elvis Duran's phone tap.

Speaker 7 (48:20):
Dear Elvis. My coworker Aaron just bought a computer. She
just finished paying it off, but she's had run in
after run in with the customer service department along the way.
Sometimes they call her and claim that her payments have
been late. She was so happy to have finished dealing
with them. She paid it all off. Wouldn't it be
funny though, if they called her and claimed her last

(48:40):
payment never arrived and she still owes money on this computer.
She can't figure out. I hope to hear from you guys.
That comes to us from Heather. All right, So Scary
is going to do Heather's phone tap on her friend erin.
Heather's going to be listening in on the other line.
Shall we go?

Speaker 17 (48:54):
Mm hm.

Speaker 5 (48:57):
H.

Speaker 16 (48:58):
I'm looking for Aaron please. Hey, Peter fits well from
my life.

Speaker 3 (49:02):
How you doing good?

Speaker 8 (49:02):
How are you?

Speaker 16 (49:03):
I'm looking through here. I noticed you had purchased a
computer a few months back. Then we never received your
last payment.

Speaker 8 (49:09):
No, I paid it off, sir, last month. You did, Yes,
I did, because I had it out with one of
your customer representatives.

Speaker 3 (49:16):
And who was there?

Speaker 8 (49:16):
I have no idea? Okay, I paid it off. I
asked him how much I owed, and I paid it off.
This is not nothing personal to you. I just don't
like my computer, don't like the service, nothing about it.

Speaker 3 (49:27):
Really.

Speaker 8 (49:28):
Yeah, I really honestly despise this computer more than you
could ever imagine.

Speaker 16 (49:31):
How computers are made of only the finest components, ma'am.

Speaker 8 (49:34):
Yeah, I understand that. I'm just not happy, and that's
why I paid this off.

Speaker 16 (49:38):
Well, I got all kinds of charges racking up here
at the charges, late fees of thirty dollars for what
because we never received that check?

Speaker 8 (49:45):
Okay, sir, I understand that. But when your customer representative
called me, I told him pay off the account. Who
was this I don't know. I was on my cell
phone because it was a Sunday.

Speaker 3 (49:54):
You don't write these things down.

Speaker 8 (49:56):
Not when I'm driving, sir.

Speaker 3 (49:57):
That's not good.

Speaker 8 (49:58):
Can I have a manager, please?

Speaker 16 (50:00):
I am the manager. You want to speak to the
person in national you know what?

Speaker 8 (50:04):
Actually I do. I cannot believe. I am floored that
you are speaking to one of your services. I am floored.
I want to a manager over you.

Speaker 16 (50:12):
I am floored that you have the audacity not to
pay your bills on time.

Speaker 8 (50:15):
Is excuse me? Excuse me, sir. I don't think that's
any of your business. And I do pay my bills
on time. I want somebody else to speak to. I
will not speak to you anymore. And you know what,
and another thing, Come get your computer back from me,
because I swear to God I will sign a complaint
against your.

Speaker 16 (50:28):
Company so quick you really want me to come take
the computer back?

Speaker 8 (50:31):
Absolutely, sir. My husband will be waiting there for you.

Speaker 16 (50:34):
You're not getting your money back, and I'm reporting you
to the credit bureau.

Speaker 8 (50:37):
That is fine.

Speaker 16 (50:38):
Yeah, I hope you're not applying for a home loan
at any time soon.

Speaker 8 (50:41):
You know what, that's none of your business, sir.

Speaker 16 (50:43):
I have the power to screw up your entire credit
right now?

Speaker 8 (50:45):
What do you think you are? What is your telephone number?

Speaker 9 (50:49):
Sir?

Speaker 8 (50:49):
First of all, what is your telephone? Don't first of
all me? What is your telephone?

Speaker 3 (50:53):
Did somebody get up on the wrong side of the
bed this morning?

Speaker 8 (50:56):
Send of your business? What a bed? I woke up on?

Speaker 3 (50:58):
Someone's so cranky today?

Speaker 8 (51:00):
I am I am Floren, Sir. I'm hanging up on you.
I want a number from me.

Speaker 3 (51:04):
I want a number for I'm trying to handle this
like a human. Yes, I am.

Speaker 8 (51:09):
You are not.

Speaker 3 (51:10):
I'm a people person.

Speaker 8 (51:11):
No, you're not. I am a poet. The way you
are speaking to me. You don't speak to your customers
like okay?

Speaker 16 (51:16):
Can I ask you a questions? Why are you raising
your voice?

Speaker 8 (51:19):
I am upsit with you. You do not speak to
me like this.

Speaker 3 (51:22):
Why are you raising your voice?

Speaker 8 (51:24):
This is a discussion.

Speaker 3 (51:25):
What do you do for a living?

Speaker 8 (51:27):
I think you're a real arrogant person, and I don't
want to speak to you.

Speaker 16 (51:30):
Really, I've been working here for twenty years.

Speaker 8 (51:34):
Wait, is it so hard to get a number? You
know what? Actually I have a number. I'll have somebody else.

Speaker 3 (51:38):
Okay, just just shot this down.

Speaker 8 (51:39):
Yep.

Speaker 16 (51:40):
My name is Peter and my number is one eight
hundred two four to two zero one hundred.

Speaker 8 (51:46):

Speaker 16 (51:47):
Yeah, just ask for Elvis durant because you've been phone tapped.

Speaker 8 (51:50):
No freaking wise.

Speaker 3 (51:56):
Aaron Heather played a phone tap.

Speaker 8 (51:58):
Are like such an ass? Oh my god, I hear right.

Speaker 1 (52:03):
Now, Elvis phone tap.

Hey, Elvis, I have actor Mary Mauser on the show.
She starts in the Netflix hit series Copra Kai and
she opens up about the sixth and final season, which
is out now.

I've never said this before. New episodes every Tuesday.

Speaker 7 (53:49):
Listen on the iHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcasts.

Speaker 3 (54:10):
This is hilarious coming here. Oh my god, By the way,
I just laughed in a booker came.

Speaker 1 (54:20):
Out Elvis j Ran in the Morning show.

Speaker 7 (54:25):
Hey, we're talking about the Olympics during the song there,
and I was once again looking into your question you
had earlier about the triathlon postponed due to the sun
rivers water pollution levels. I am hearing that there. It's
on for this morning. So wouldn't you be a little
hesitant diving into that thing, like.

Speaker 11 (54:43):
Oh, oh, there's no way you could convince me that
the water that was just pooped up is no longer
pooped up.

Speaker 2 (54:51):
How do they clean it?

Speaker 13 (54:53):
How do they clean it that fast if it had
like poopicles in it yesterday?

Speaker 3 (54:56):
They can't. I don't think they can.

Speaker 7 (54:57):
I think they're just waiting for nature to do whatever
doing today, whatever's upriver, pushing it all out.

Speaker 3 (55:04):
Oh my god, I'm sorry that's a bad visual.

Speaker 7 (55:06):
Hey, But speaking of the Olympics, we're talking about how
a lot of people here in the States and around
the world probably are setting their dating app settings to
the Olympic village.

Speaker 3 (55:18):
You can actually set it to Sony. Is that how
you say it?

Speaker 7 (55:22):
Sony Paris, France, and and wondering.

Speaker 3 (55:29):
Can you connect with them while they're there so when
they get home you can like fly to them and
actually date an Olympian, you know.

Speaker 2 (55:38):
Ye that very flexible.

Speaker 11 (55:44):
Well, you can pay the premium and then you can
set your location wherever you want. I have a friend
who does that, and then wherever her profile is like
popping at the moment, she would travel to that place.
It was off in Houston, but she would legitimately travel
just because her profile was doing really well in that area.

Speaker 2 (56:00):
Really yeah, just how it up?

Speaker 4 (56:02):
She loved it?

Speaker 3 (56:03):
What were what were her results? I mean she would
come back and tell you what.

Speaker 11 (56:07):
Oh, she would come back and tell us the craziest
stories of just cashing in left and right. Oh my god,
I went to Houston and had the best time ever.

Speaker 4 (56:15):
It's great.

Speaker 13 (56:17):
So if I was to put Olympic village, but I'm
in New Jersey right now, right right, and then I
hook up where people notice me or whatever, then I
can just fly and so I'll just fly there and
then start dating everybody.

Speaker 2 (56:26):
Is that how it works?

Speaker 11 (56:28):
Well, yeah, it's it's more of I don't know that
you would necessarily fly and start dating, but you can.
You know that you guys can start talking and then
go hook up with somebody if you want to.

Speaker 3 (56:39):
Yeah, let's say, let's say you love a swimmer from
New Jersey.

Speaker 7 (56:42):
Yeah, just saying for a friend, and you're like, oh
my god, you're so hot, and they connect with you
even though they're in France.

Speaker 3 (56:49):
So hey, you know, when you get home, why don't
we hook up and then go out?

Speaker 2 (56:52):
Okay, exactly, you can, I got it, I got you now.

Speaker 3 (56:55):
Or you can be like Ghandi's friends just fly right
on it.

Speaker 4 (56:59):
Why not have a good time? You meet the Olympian.

Speaker 11 (57:01):
Okay, maybe I'll come meet you in whatever country you're from.
Sounds great.

Speaker 7 (57:05):
See, I've never done online dating, so I don't really
know how it works, but I guess you if you have.

Speaker 3 (57:11):
The premium services, you can do that.

Speaker 7 (57:12):
Yeah, okay, so yeah, yeah, So our friend Tom switched
his Bumble dating profile and to Paris, France and specifically
the Olympic village area. So far he's actually seen the
profile of someone he knows who's there reporting. No, they're
reporting and so so yeah, anyway, interesting hmmm.

Speaker 3 (57:38):
I mean I'm in a relationship.

Speaker 4 (57:39):
Maybe I shouldn't be, but I totally get it.

Speaker 11 (57:43):
If I was single, I would absolutely do that. I
would cruise all over the world.

Speaker 4 (57:46):
I'll tell you what.

Speaker 11 (57:47):
My friend who puts her little location all over the place.
Some of the hottest men in.

Speaker 4 (57:52):
The world are in different countries.

Speaker 11 (57:54):
Dubai looks amazing and they okay, they have a ton
of money.

Speaker 3 (57:59):
You're making, but you're probably right.

Speaker 13 (58:01):
Yeah, you can have different hose in different area codes.

Speaker 2 (58:05):
That's a song from Ludicrous.

Speaker 3 (58:09):
We never knew that.

Speaker 16 (58:10):
Wows.

Speaker 3 (58:14):
We used to play that song all the time. Is
that new to you? No, it's not.

Speaker 7 (58:21):
Let me see, uh divers looking for daddies. Daddy trying
to figure out my wording here.

Speaker 3 (58:27):
I don't know.

Speaker 11 (58:30):
Is there a competition or like a sport in the
Olympics that you think those are the hottest people.

Speaker 7 (58:35):
Well, people in swimming pools are to me, but it's
because you see a lot of skin, and you know.

Speaker 3 (58:39):
Maybe that's it.

Speaker 11 (58:41):
See, I always think it's the soccer players, football players,
whatever you want to call them.

Speaker 3 (58:45):
Like I said earlier, those rugby players, you're like tanks.

Speaker 13 (58:48):
You can bounce a coin off of a soccer players,
but it's fantastic.

Speaker 2 (58:52):
Believe me, I have tried. I have. You know, my
usband was a soccer player.

Speaker 3 (58:57):
So how did that happen this week? What happened that day?

Speaker 13 (59:01):
We actually talked about how you know, that's one of
the things they're known for is how tight their butts are.
And no matter how long Sheldon hasn't played soccer, his
butt's still fantastic.

Speaker 3 (59:11):
No, no, no, you're not listening to me. He pulled his
pants down on you. Actually bounced a quarter off his butt.

Speaker 2 (59:16):
Did this at one point.

Speaker 13 (59:17):
Yeah, we were having we were kidding around about something
and I just lost it at his butt and it
bounced off. But then again, it probably would have bounced
off anybody's butt if I had to hit it that way. Yeah,
it's just so solid and so firm. It's fantastic.

Speaker 7 (59:29):
Throw what at my butt? It's gonna stick it's completely absorbed. Yeah,
there's no hit exact where going to go. We'll find
it's up there with all the rest of them.

Speaker 3 (59:38):
I guess.

Speaker 7 (59:38):
Hey, let's go round the room seep. What's on the
minds of everyone who showed up today. We'll start with you,
scary What are you thinking about? I was so grossed out.
I can't believe people actually do this. But maybe they do,
or I don't know, maybe the guy was just teasing
on TikTok. But I saw a video of a dude
eating shrimp with the tail on. He just puts the
whole shrimp in his mouth and the chail I was

(01:00:00):
crunching around. And then in the next video he's literally
he had lobster and he had the head and he's
scooping the head part out with a spoon and he's eating.
Who are there people out there? They're scary suck I
got I get bad news for you. I eat tails
all the time, and you eat the lobster here, this
is nothing new where you got to like, yep, this

(01:00:20):
is going on, Gandhi, You've done it right.

Speaker 11 (01:00:23):
I have not done it, but I know a lot
of people who eat the tails. And we were shocked
by it, so we looked it up and there are
some really good health benefits to eating the tails.

Speaker 3 (01:00:29):
Though I thought this dude was playing me online.

Speaker 16 (01:00:31):
I'm like, this is no way, but they do, like
I guess it's nutritious, I guess, But like who sucks
the head from the lobster?

Speaker 7 (01:00:38):
Are you're supposed to buy the tail and suck the
head or suck the tail and bite the head.

Speaker 2 (01:00:41):
It's so wrong, swallowing like stuff?

Speaker 3 (01:00:44):
That is that? Is that digestible? That stuff scary?

Speaker 7 (01:00:47):
Yes? Okay, yea, the tail scary. It's all It's all digestible, all.

Speaker 2 (01:00:51):
Right there though poop, No.

Speaker 3 (01:00:54):
It's not about that.

Speaker 7 (01:00:55):
Well you know they call it to Tamali. That's what
they call that, miss scary.

Speaker 3 (01:01:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:01:01):
No, I eat the tails off shrimp all the time.
And no, no, I just to me, this is fascinating
because this is so new to you.

Speaker 3 (01:01:09):
It is.

Speaker 7 (01:01:10):
I love that you have a new discovery every day,
almost every hour. Uh gandhi, what's up with you?

Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
All right?

Speaker 4 (01:01:17):
It's Wednesday.

Speaker 11 (01:01:17):
We did mention it earlier, but that means I have
a new episode on my podcast today, and I have
to say it's one of my favorite.

Speaker 4 (01:01:23):
We talked to coaster boy Josh.

Speaker 11 (01:01:25):
Get to know a lot about him, and I'm telling
you in advance it is not safe for work. Listen
with your headphones on and get to know our boy.
Podcast is called Sauce on the Side. You can get
it on the iHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcasts.

Speaker 4 (01:01:39):
Come listen.

Speaker 3 (01:01:40):
Yeah, get to know Josh. You will.

Speaker 7 (01:01:42):
You're going to see a side of Josh so much.

Speaker 3 (01:01:47):
Many people haven't seen. Heyst eight, what's up?

Speaker 10 (01:01:51):
This is just a friendly reminder clean your phone occasionally.
You know, we wash our hands, we wash our faces,
we you know, watch what we're doing with our hit.
But our our phones we touch all the time. Our
fingers are all over we put in random places. These
things are filthy. I cleaned mine yesterday and I felt
so much better about it. Uh that I'm gonna do

(01:02:11):
it again today. How about that?

Speaker 2 (01:02:14):
It's part of my daily routine cleaning my phone.

Speaker 3 (01:02:16):
Yeah, wow, that's good.

Speaker 7 (01:02:18):
Yeah, I need to clean one because you're right, no, Nate,
I mean we touch all these things that we touch
our phone and touch these things and touch our phone,
and we forget about that.

Speaker 3 (01:02:25):
But if you have a phone cover on there, which
will most of us do. I've been all sorts of stuff.
Is like set down between the covers.

Speaker 10 (01:02:30):
Say Dandriffin there, Lind, I mean, is disgusting getting my phone?

Speaker 2 (01:02:36):
How do you know, is Dan?

Speaker 3 (01:02:37):
I'm assuming I didn't do it. I hope it was, uh,
pretty sure?

Speaker 4 (01:02:43):
Sam.

Speaker 3 (01:02:43):
What's going on with you today? How you doing?

Speaker 14 (01:02:46):
I'm doing well.

Speaker 5 (01:02:47):
So I want to encourage people to try an Olympic sport.

Speaker 14 (01:02:50):
It's climbing.

Speaker 5 (01:02:51):
I know it seems so intimidating to people on the
outside from like different conversations, but I promise you not
only is it a great workout and a lot of
fun so you don't.

Speaker 14 (01:02:59):
Feel like you're working out, but the community is so cool.

Speaker 5 (01:03:02):
I was there last week and I was struggling on
a climb, and when I fell off of the wall,
there were two people I've never met before behind me
waiting to give me, like a good job, try again.

Speaker 14 (01:03:12):
They're just the nicest people.

Speaker 5 (01:03:13):
So if you're watching the Olympics and you're curious about climbing,
don't be intimidating.

Speaker 14 (01:03:17):
It's the nicest community I've ever run into.

Speaker 7 (01:03:20):
Wow, I fell off the wall and fell into the
hands of new friends. I love now I love that.
I've never climbed, have you, guys, GANI have you done
a climb?

Speaker 4 (01:03:29):
Yeah? I love it.

Speaker 11 (01:03:30):
It's so much more intense than you would ever think
it is. It uses parts of your body that you
wouldn't think it uses.

Speaker 7 (01:03:35):
Yeah, you can see how it's a strategy and you patient.

Speaker 3 (01:03:39):
I have patience, I guess right, Yeah.

Speaker 14 (01:03:42):
Yeah, that's part of last I love it.

Speaker 7 (01:03:44):
I have neither a patience nor strategy. Danielle, what's up
with you?

Speaker 13 (01:03:49):
I love how a lot of people on this show
appreciate a good banana. Now, I know that sounds so stupid,
but so many people throw the banana out when it's
at it's perfect place, just a little brown with some speckles,
and it's the sweetest when it's like that. And I
know Nate and I I know you Elvis. We appreciate

(01:04:11):
it when it's like that. So, guys, if you're at
home and you have bananas and you're thinking, Eh, it's
too brown for me, I'm gonna throw it out.

Speaker 2 (01:04:17):
It's just a little darker, try it first.

Speaker 13 (01:04:20):
Sometimes those are the best, they're the sweetest, they're so good.

Speaker 2 (01:04:24):
So just you know, don't just throw the banana out.
Because it's a little bit. It's good.

Speaker 3 (01:04:28):
Amen.

Speaker 7 (01:04:29):
I know someone who throws the banana out as soon
as the green leaves the yellow.

Speaker 2 (01:04:34):
That's insane.

Speaker 7 (01:04:35):
That's not even Look, we're as we are, bruised in life.
We love a bruce banana. Yeah, fine, the bruce banana
is very relatable anyway, you're right. I oh, it's weird.
I went to the grocery story the other day to
buy bananas. I found these bananas. I don't know what happened,
And I don't even know if maybe they're they've been
messed with genetically. I mean the size of like I

(01:04:58):
don't know, feet long. Maybe maybe I'm exaggerating, but they're huge,
massive bananas.

Speaker 3 (01:05:05):
I love them. There's a sound bite. There's a sound
bite for you. Are we all hooked up? Were you good? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:05:12):
I think so?

Speaker 3 (01:05:13):
All right? Good?

Speaker 7 (01:05:14):
Hey, I want to talk about something interesting here, being
single and what it's like to get out into the
dating world. When you're single, maybe you've been in a
relationship for a while and it's uh, you decided to
get out of that relationship for it for whatever reason,
and uh, maybe you spend some time like Okay, I
want to be single for a while. Maybe being single

(01:05:34):
after a relationship is a very important thing.

Speaker 3 (01:05:35):
I think it is. But it's just me. It's just me.

Speaker 7 (01:05:38):
But when it is time to get out there and date,
you could be a little rusty, you know what I'm saying.
Hell yeah, So where did Nate go?

Speaker 16 (01:05:53):
I think he's pulling double duty today. I think he
went and went to try and make a phone call
to get somebody on the on the line.

Speaker 3 (01:05:59):
Okay, all right. Anyway, so you know, getting out there
in the dating world is it can be easy.

Speaker 7 (01:06:04):
But let's say you've had a relationship that you know
it was what it was, but it just failed miserably
or just failed lightly at whatever. To get back out
there and interact with people, the possibility of a relationship
is there, but you have to find it, and you
have to know how to act, how not to act,
what to respond to, what not to respond to. And

(01:06:27):
you have these voices in your head the entire time.
It takes you to a place where you shouldn't have
to go. I don't know, this is interesting. So Nate
actually found this article that he sent me about dating,
and I want to get into that in a few minutes.

Speaker 10 (01:06:42):
It really makes you think even if you're in a
relationship now, going back to when you were dating, you're like, wow,
I really wish I knew this then, right, huh.

Speaker 7 (01:06:53):
Right, let me tell you, you couldn't give me one
hundred million dollars that maybe you get back out on
the dating world. Right now, I've just not at all,
you know. Again, you know, I'm married, I'm in I'm good. Yeah, yeah,
but the thought of dating just I get a little anxious.
My palms start getting a little sweaty, like the thought
of going through that.

Speaker 13 (01:07:13):
Imagine starting over when you haven't done it in years,
like you know, like my like just say my mom
for instance, she's seventy five, right, she's my dad passed.
You know, she talks about nice looking men that she's seen.
But can you imagine getting into that world now for
her when she hasn't done it in that many years.
Even with older gentlemen, it's got to be so scary

(01:07:36):
and so hard, and you just you don't know what
to do because things have changed so much.

Speaker 7 (01:07:40):
Right And again, you know, if you go through an
awful breakup with someone, you have these extra voices in
your head.

Speaker 3 (01:07:48):
You know, who are you looking for? Oh my god?
What's wrong with them? Why are they being nice to be?
I mean, these are weird things you think about, but
it's a part of it. It's natural. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:07:56):
So I tell you what, if you are recently broken
up and out there wanting to date, I want to
hear from you, like, what are you going through? Or
let's say you just broke up with someone and you
don't want to date at all, whatever, whatever's on your mind.
If something here resonates with you, pop it up you
in text us at fifty five to one hundred or

(01:08:17):
call us at eight hundred two four to two zero
one hundred, and we'll hop into that next. Let's see
three things we need to know from Gandhi. Let's go
there and we move on. Hey, Gandhi, what's going on?

Speaker 4 (01:08:26):
Hello?

Speaker 11 (01:08:27):
The acting director of the Secret Service said that he
is ashamed of the security breach that led to the
recent Trump shooting. Secret Service officials were grilled on Capitol
Hill Tuesday over the July thirteenth assassination attempts, which Acting
Secret Service Director Ronald Rohe called a failure on multiple levels.
He said the agency has rolled out new procedures to
prevent future security lapses, including the use of drones and

(01:08:50):
a new vetting process for security plans. Bor's Head has
it has is expanded.

Speaker 4 (01:08:57):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 11 (01:08:58):
Borshead is expanding it's recall of Deli meats linked to
a lysteria outbreak to include another thirty five hundred tons
of poultry products and ready to me eat, ready to
eat meat. That's in addition to one hundred and three
tons that were recalled last week. At least thirty four
people have gotten sick in thirteen states, including two deaths.
Signs of listeria infection include fever, headache, nausea, and muscle aches.

(01:09:22):
So if any of that is happening to you and
you've had some deli meat, just pay attention. The recall
includes seventy one products that were made between May tenth
and July twenty ninth, with cell by dates ranging from
July twenty ninth to October seventeenth. And Finally, a new
lawsuit is accusing stub hub, which is an online ticket platform,
of using predatory tactics to trick customers into paying way

(01:09:45):
more than they expected. The suit that was filed yesterday
by Washington DC Attorney General Brian Schwab argues that the
company entices customers with a lower price for tickets before
tacking on massive fees that the suit says violates DC's
consumer protection laws. It also alleges that the company is
not transparent about what the fees are or how it

(01:10:05):
determines the actual amount, which I'm sure all of us
have been there and experienced that. Hopefully this will make
some type of difference.

Speaker 4 (01:10:12):
But we'll see. And those are your three things.

Speaker 7 (01:10:14):
Yeah, sometimes those fees double it. I mean it almost
doubles the price of the tickets you're originally looking at.

Speaker 11 (01:10:19):
Absolutely, And I know that they were trying to pass
some legislation and we have to check if it did
where they're just going to include all of the fees
whatever they are, in the price that you see, so
you're not tricked when you go to check out.

Speaker 3 (01:10:29):
Oh that's good, there you go, Thank you, Gan.

Speaker 2 (01:10:33):
We're not normal, Elis Duran.

Speaker 1 (01:10:35):
In the Morning Show.

Speaker 7 (01:10:37):

summer concert film Trap, a loving father, a serial killer,
and a stage set for his capture, starring Josh Hartnett.
Get your tickets now at Fendango. Trap only in theaters
this Friday, Rated PG.

Speaker 1 (01:10:51):
Three Duran in the Morning show.

Speaker 3 (01:10:58):
All right, we're talking about this a second ago.

Speaker 7 (01:11:00):
Being single or actually going from in relationship to being
single and getting out there in the dating world can
be a total mind f you know. I mean, it
can just really scare you, maybe to the point where
you just won't go out. And there's nothing wrong with
spending some time with your friends and letting them take
care of you and just being a person and not

(01:11:20):
having to think about dating someone else. Because when you
start dating someone else, sometimes it turns into this game
like chess. Sometimes it shouldn't be that way. It can't
be horrible. It's true. I know that no matter who
you have as friends, someone in your circle, maybe you
are in this situation where it's time to get out
there and dating again if you want so. Nate sent

(01:11:42):
me this article. It's a great list about dating, getting
out there in the dating world, and there's some things
to think about here.

Speaker 3 (01:11:52):
So if this isn't you, maybe you have a friend.

Speaker 7 (01:11:54):
Who is about to go back into the dating world,
or maybe they are and they're struggling or the succeeding.

Speaker 3 (01:12:00):
So hey, Nate, did you ever find a caller for her?

Speaker 10 (01:12:03):
I did talk to Renee, she says, dating in twenty
twenty four is like going to a thrift shop.

Speaker 7 (01:12:08):
Oh perfect, let's start with her. Then, let's just rather
than diving into the list. Now, let's talk to Renee.
You're saying dating is sucking for you these in this
day and age.

Speaker 3 (01:12:17):
Why is that, Renee?

Speaker 6 (01:12:19):
It's absolutely horrible. My comment was, it's like trying to
find the least used item that doesn't smell bad but
still holds up for a while.

Speaker 7 (01:12:29):
Okay, wow, dating it goodwill, salvation army.

Speaker 2 (01:12:33):
I get it.

Speaker 6 (01:12:35):
It's just it's hard. I most guys either that I
have come into contact with, or either you know, carrying
baggage from their past or you know, they are you know,
sewing their wild oat if you will, on things that
they you know, should have done years ago. And it

(01:12:57):
kind of trickles down to me, as you know, the
one who's trying to date up. I end up only
finding ways to date down. My daughter actually told me
the other day, Mom, you're like one of those capture
the flag tech people, and I seem to capture all
the red flags.

Speaker 7 (01:13:14):
Well, okay, I mean, so you're saying it's impossible that
there's nothing out there for you at all or are
you just getting started.

Speaker 3 (01:13:22):
We don't know where you are in the process.

Speaker 6 (01:13:24):
I've been doing this now for about ten years, off
and on, trying to find somebody that's fit's decent, and
it has been very difficult. I am not giving up there.
I'm found in a termin There is somebody out there
for me. It's just a matter of finding that person.
And you know, one of the big things that I

(01:13:44):
have learned is I had to set standards and if
you don't meet those standards, then there's really no point
in you coming to you know, to things. But yeah,
it has been difficult.

Speaker 3 (01:13:55):
So what do you think, Gandhi?

Speaker 11 (01:13:57):
Well, I wanted to know when you say you're trying
to date up, you end up dating down?

Speaker 4 (01:14:01):
What do you mean by that?

Speaker 6 (01:14:03):
So I'm trying to find somebody that, you know, and
I had, like I said, I set my standards, so
you must have a job. Your job must be something
that is able to take me to dinner, you know.
So I'm trying to find somebody that that has those
good qualities about him, and I only seem to find
those that don't have those qualities.

Speaker 3 (01:14:26):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (01:14:26):
So you know, and that's the hard part. Is trying
to find somebody and like I said, again, so simple,
and there's yet so many men out there that thinks that.
I mean, how are you going to pay for dinner?
Chivalry is gone, it doesn't exist anymore.

Speaker 7 (01:14:46):
Well, I I God, I hate hearing that because I'm
I'm hoping, I'm praying that that's not the case for everyone,
and it's just been the luck of the draw with you.

Speaker 3 (01:14:55):
But on the other hand, excuse me.

Speaker 7 (01:14:59):
You know, we all have this weird baggage that we
carry around in lives, in our lives, and so you're
looking for a guy who has less baggage because there's
always going to be something you have to deal with.
There's always going to be ways that you try to
try to match up with someone and who's not totally
messed up forever, right, so exact.

Speaker 6 (01:15:16):
And it's all that you're willing to compromise with.

Speaker 3 (01:15:19):
Okay, so there can be comfortable.

Speaker 6 (01:15:22):
Exactly, Well, they're there there, you know, there needs to
be you know, obviously, I'm completely okay with somebody who
has children. My daughter's college age. I'm okay with somebody
who has children, But you know, it's got to be
within reason. I don't need the Brady bunch. And you know,
but again, two or three kids, that's fine, you know,
we can we can work with that. But if you've

(01:15:44):
got five, six kids with multiple mothers and it's like,
that's just too much for me where I'm at in
my life.

Speaker 3 (01:15:51):
Right now, and that's fair for you.

Speaker 13 (01:15:53):
Yeah, Danielle, I know you haven't had one hundred percent success,
But is there one place or one maybe dating app
or something that you feel like works better than others.

Speaker 6 (01:16:04):
I feel like I did have some deeper luck on
bumble and hinge that you seem to be, you know,
average people. Anything other than that, you know, the paid apps.
I did have some success, but not tons.

Speaker 7 (01:16:25):
Right, Well, look, stay on it. It doesn't sound like
you're ready to give up. So that's good news, you know, not.

Speaker 6 (01:16:31):
At all, not at all. There is somebody out there
for everyone. It's just a matter in finding the right person.

Speaker 3 (01:16:37):
I'm in. I'm in all right. Well, thank you so
much for your time, Renee. We appreciate it. You have
a have a great day, good luck.

Speaker 6 (01:16:42):
Okay, thanks you too, Okay, bye bye.

Speaker 7 (01:16:45):
So this list is very interesting dating getting back into
the dating world. Number one, listen to this and I
love this one. Worry less about if they like you
and more about if you even like them.

Speaker 4 (01:17:00):
Oh that's a good one.

Speaker 2 (01:17:01):
Huh.

Speaker 7 (01:17:01):
We're always trying to like put our lure in the
water and hopefully they'll like our shiny shiny lure better
than the other ones.

Speaker 3 (01:17:09):
Well, what about them? I mean, do I like them? Like?
What am I trying to attract here? What do you think, Nate?

Speaker 10 (01:17:15):
I think that's a very accurate, you know, point for
a lot of people, because a lot of people want
what they can't have, right, it's for them. It's like, well,
why doesn't this person like me? I gotta try harder?
You know, it's you're trying too hard to get something
that doesn't want you in return.

Speaker 3 (01:17:31):
So I think that's a fantastic point.

Speaker 7 (01:17:33):
And also, you know, you see so many people, maybe
you've been in this situation before, when there's a breakup,
You're like, why don't they like me? How I need
for them to like me. I'm gonna go try harder.
I'm gonna well, no, what about you? Why do you
want to be with someone who doesn't want to be
with you? I mean, it's about you, isn't it?

Speaker 3 (01:17:49):
Right?

Speaker 2 (01:17:50):
Absolutely?

Speaker 7 (01:17:51):
Number two rejection is not as personal as it feels.
Liking someone or being liked is more about compatibility. Then
you're inherent worth. Think about that for a second.

Speaker 3 (01:18:03):
You know it's you.

Speaker 7 (01:18:05):
We have to stopped thinking about them and trying to
please them and making them like us.

Speaker 3 (01:18:10):
What are we doing? Thats just that sucks? What about us?
What about me? You know? You agree?

Speaker 11 (01:18:16):
Oh my god, totally. And just because it doesn't work
out doesn't mean either person is bad. You just weren't
good together.

Speaker 2 (01:18:21):
Right.

Speaker 7 (01:18:23):
Number three goes back to what I was saying in
a second ago. Stop choosing what isn't choosing you. If
it's not mutual, then why do you want to pursue it.
If they don't want to be with you, they're not
showing enough interest in you. All right later or not
even later?

Speaker 3 (01:18:37):
Bye? Right? I love this list? Where'd you get this list?

Speaker 10 (01:18:41):
It's from We're Not Really Strangers dot com. It was
on red and I just thought it was interesting.

Speaker 3 (01:18:46):
I love it.

Speaker 7 (01:18:47):
Number four ask yourself, would you be friends with this
person if you weren't physically attracted to them?

Speaker 4 (01:18:52):
Let me be honest, A really good one.

Speaker 2 (01:18:54):
Yeah, that is really good.

Speaker 9 (01:18:57):
Well.

Speaker 7 (01:18:57):
Physical attraction is typically what typically what kind of makes
us look at someone to begin with. I get that,
but it's going to be beyond and deeper than that.

Speaker 13 (01:19:06):
I was thinking of that when I was watching The
Bachelorette for the one day I watched it the other
day because there was a guy who was so hot
and she has this physical attraction to him. But I
didn't feel like there was anything emotionally there or like
that they were really had anything in common or liking
each other. And I was just like, they're just in
it for the physical part. I'm like, so for long term,

(01:19:27):
that can't work. You know, that's not gonna last. It's crazy,
No way, see you about this for a second. Let's say
you break up with someone or they break up with you, whatever,
and you're like, well, why are we not speaking to
each other anymore?

Speaker 7 (01:19:39):
Were we not friends when we were together? Why were
we even in that relationship if we weren't friends.

Speaker 13 (01:19:44):
That's why when people say they started out as friends
first with someone for years and then it went into
that area, I feel like, you know what, that makes
so much sense because you knew you like them because
they were your friend first.

Speaker 3 (01:19:56):
Wow. I've never been one of those, have you Guys?

Speaker 11 (01:19:59):
Oh that's all I did. Eight have been friends with
really we start? Yeah, I have not dated someone who
I was not friends with at some point in my
life or knew before we started dating.

Speaker 4 (01:20:12):
Yeah, and Brandon.

Speaker 2 (01:20:14):
And you hated each other first. Remember then you became
friends and.

Speaker 7 (01:20:17):
Well they were kids. I mean, yeah, you weren't even twelve.
I mean it was that young.

Speaker 4 (01:20:23):
Yeah we were little.

Speaker 11 (01:20:24):
But yeah, I mean but I knew him for a
while and we still talked online and you knew each
other bit.

Speaker 3 (01:20:28):
So yeah, here's a deep one.

Speaker 7 (01:20:30):
Make it very clear on what you want to give
in a relationship, not just what you want to receive
in a relationship, meaning what unique value do you bring
to a partnership? Wow, see again you're you're taking the
light off of them and putting it on you.

Speaker 3 (01:20:44):
This is about me.

Speaker 7 (01:20:44):
I want to be happy in this relationship. What am
I willing to give? How far am I willing to go?
If ever they push you to the point where they
want you to go into an area where you don't
want to go emotionally or putting it up with whatever,
how much.

Speaker 3 (01:20:59):
Of that can you give? You know, it's not about them,
it's about you.

Speaker 4 (01:21:03):
And I also think too.

Speaker 11 (01:21:04):
I have a very good friend who's always complaining about
the dating world, and I asked her once would you
date you?

Speaker 4 (01:21:09):
And she said no? So I was like, okay, well
why you right to other people?

Speaker 2 (01:21:14):
You got to fix that?

Speaker 3 (01:21:17):
Was she serious?

Speaker 4 (01:21:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:21:20):
Wow?

Speaker 7 (01:21:20):
If you say that I wouldn't date myself, that is
worthy of investigation.

Speaker 2 (01:21:25):
Don't don't you think that's a red flag?

Speaker 4 (01:21:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:21:29):
Wow?

Speaker 6 (01:21:30):
Uh?

Speaker 7 (01:21:30):
Again, know what you want from a potential partner. What
are your non negotiables, what are you flexible on? And
then communicate your needs. Don't just look, just think them.
And here's the thing. Sometimes you don't know with an
individual person you're dating what's negotiable or not.

Speaker 3 (01:21:45):
Until you get to the problem, right, you don't know you.

Speaker 13 (01:21:49):
Date is there are some things like maybe religion that's
a non negotiable. Like I knew going into my relationship
being a Catholic is important to me. I knew I
wanted to raise my kids Catholic Sheldon's episcopage, which is
very close.

Speaker 2 (01:22:01):
But you know, like we those are things you need
to discuss.

Speaker 13 (01:22:04):
Those are things that if that's that important to you
going in, is that non negotiable?

Speaker 2 (01:22:09):
You know?

Speaker 3 (01:22:09):
Wow?

Speaker 7 (01:22:10):
And you're talking about deep into the relationship with marriage
marriage talk. I'm just talking about like body odor stuff
like that.

Speaker 2 (01:22:16):
Oh okay, well, I hope that's a non negotiable.

Speaker 3 (01:22:19):
Well, different people.

Speaker 7 (01:22:21):
You know, Danielle is wrong about you and what you
believe in as far as bodyodor goes. I'm not into
bodyodor personally. I'm just using as example, Yes, Kandhi.

Speaker 11 (01:22:30):
I think a really important question to ask people, because
you'll get interesting answers, is what is something about you
that I won't find out until we're well into the
relationship or maybe it's too late. And I asked my
boyfriend that when we first started dating, and he said,
I'm a very poor sport, and man, if he wasn't
accurate about that, and that is like something that you

(01:22:52):
deal with all the time on little issues, but it
would have taken a long time to figure that out.
And I'm glad that he told me that, so I
could decide if that was, you know, something that bothered
me or not.

Speaker 7 (01:23:00):
Well, asking about those things, most of the ones that
are the most challenging, they're not going to tell you
because they don't face up to those problems themselves.

Speaker 4 (01:23:10):
Well, they might not even know it.

Speaker 3 (01:23:12):
Exactly exactly what's up, scarity.

Speaker 16 (01:23:17):
Okay, At the risk of sounding as shallow as a puddle,
I just bring it all back. I'm sorry, I don't
want to. I think that people who are fours and
fives and sixes aim for eights, nines and tens, and
the eights and nines and tens are really dating and
with other eights, nines and tens, they're not looking down

(01:23:38):
at the forest. Fives and sixes and not just in
the force. Fives and sixes don't just apply to your looks.
I'm just what it also applies to what you're bringing
to the table in the relationship. Scary, How who is
giving us these rated numbers? I'm trying to figure out,
how how do I know if I'm a four or
five or six, Well, you.

Speaker 3 (01:23:55):
May be lower like for me, Okay, if two people.

Speaker 16 (01:23:59):
One person don't kids and one person has kids, So
the person without the kids might lower.

Speaker 3 (01:24:03):
The score of a person with kids because for them
that's like, you know, they don't have kids and they're
they're they're dating.

Speaker 7 (01:24:11):
Okay, so I get that, But the rating of these numbers,
I'm trying to figure out, like this isn't the Olympics.
We're not having the German judge give us a number.
I don't know where you're coming up with, Like, how
do you know you're a four? How dare you as
a five go for an eight?

Speaker 3 (01:24:25):
How does it? How does this apply? Just tell me
how that works.

Speaker 16 (01:24:27):
Because I think more people would be happy and experience
bliss if the fours, fives, and sixes all got together
with each other.

Speaker 7 (01:24:33):
And you're not listening or what I'm saying. How do
I know I'm in the category of fours? I don't
know how what makes me feel I'm a four? And
how do you know that you're not a nine to
someone and a three to someone else?

Speaker 2 (01:24:45):
Right, I'm not trying.

Speaker 3 (01:24:46):
I'm trying to figure this out.

Speaker 16 (01:24:47):
I feel like, Okay, looks wise, I may be a
five or a six, but maybe I have a great
job so that brings.

Speaker 3 (01:24:52):
Me up to an eight, you know, because like, for instance,
that one right there on the phone was looking for
someone but dinner. I can do that.

Speaker 13 (01:25:00):
But do you think you're an eight but everyone else
thinks you're a three?

Speaker 2 (01:25:04):
Like that's not like.

Speaker 17 (01:25:05):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 16 (01:25:06):
Out though it's it, there's more to it than just
the looks it's the full package of what you're bringing.
If you've got baggage and you've got like your x'es
and you've got other issues going, your number is going
to be lower. You may be really hot, you may
be a nine, but you're lowered to a four. I'm
just saying that the people should get I don't know.
This is just my own theory. And I saw m

(01:25:26):
form online.

Speaker 7 (01:25:27):
Okay, good, let me stick figure form. Let me ask
you how much how much sense would this conversation make
if you eliminated the fours, fives, and six's rating system
and just talked as if we're just people like dating
people with baggage versus not and what gandhi, can you
help me with this?

Speaker 4 (01:25:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (01:25:45):
I kind of sadly understand what he's saying a little bit,
because you know, we were on the phone earlier with
a woman who said, I'm trying to date up, so
I always date down. But if she's trying to date up,
then that means the person she's trying to date is
going to date down.

Speaker 4 (01:25:59):
So well, I think what he's trying to say is.

Speaker 11 (01:26:02):
Maybe trying to like shop in our category and like
stay I actually dealt with a dating service called the
Three Day Rule, and they said, one of the biggest
dating mistakes is that everybody wants a ten, sort of
what's scary you're saying, But what are you bringing to
the table that makes you a ten? And it isn't

(01:26:22):
all about looks, It's about lifestyle. It's about all kinds
of things. But a lot of people are disappointed because
they think that they're bringing more than they actually are.

Speaker 16 (01:26:30):
I don't know if I want, but the guys that
she's looking at are dating other nines and tens.

Speaker 3 (01:26:35):
She may not be a ten to that, dude. It sucks,
but that's life.

Speaker 13 (01:26:40):
But everybody's ten is different, Like you're ten is different
than my ten.

Speaker 3 (01:26:43):
That's my point.

Speaker 7 (01:26:44):
It's like, it's it's just okay, let me just assign
myself a number according to what I feel about me. Uh,
I do shockingly see where you're going with it?

Speaker 4 (01:27:00):
What kind of lads you know?

Speaker 3 (01:27:05):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (01:27:09):
Let's move on. If you if you had a way
with words, they move you up to seven. Maybe all right,
all right, here we are another list. Uh line here
is stop being shocked by repeated behavior. Oh god, I
am such the worst at this. For example, if someone

(01:27:32):
has continuously shown you they're they're not a good texture,
stop expecting them to be.

Speaker 3 (01:27:38):
Notice patterns and believe them.

Speaker 7 (01:27:40):
And this could be something as simple as texting or
something as complicated as anger or whatever. If you see
a pattern there, stop being shocked every time it comes
to the surface.

Speaker 4 (01:27:56):
I'm guilty of that. I'm sorry too.

Speaker 3 (01:27:58):
Is it because we think it's going to change and
it never does? Is that basically what it is?

Speaker 10 (01:28:01):
Yeah? Yeah, because you think you're going to change that person.
You think, oh, I'm special, I'm going to change this
person's bad behavior or behavior that I don't agree with
because I'm special, I'm different.

Speaker 3 (01:28:13):
Nope, that person is that person. You're not going to
change them.

Speaker 2 (01:28:16):
Et special, Nate, That's right.

Speaker 10 (01:28:18):
I've tell myself that for years. Danielle, that's a very
good one.

Speaker 7 (01:28:23):
We're all guilty of that, not only in romantic relationships,
but in relationship with relationships with colleagues and friends, whatever.
They keep screwing you over in one way or another,
and you just expect it to get better and it doesn't.
I love that one. You don't need to be perfect
to be loved. Perfection isn't relatable, meaning I could be

(01:28:44):
a four and be loved. Oh scary, you can't, you
can't connect to it. We all have flaws, we all
have vulnerabilities, and being able to own them as one
of the most attractive things we can do. The right
person will embrace the things you want felt you had
to hide. What let me read that again. The right
person will embrace the things you once felt you had

(01:29:06):
to hide.

Speaker 13 (01:29:08):
Like you're all your special qualities, your ki yeah, oh yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:29:14):
Or your thought you know what I'm saying. I mean,
it could be physical or emotional whatever. Yeah, it's really
about self examination, right Gandhi.

Speaker 4 (01:29:23):
I mean, oh absolutely.

Speaker 11 (01:29:24):
I think the perfection thing it's so much harder now
because now that everybody is online and you think that
you have so many options, people see little red flags
that they probably would have dealt with before and it
wouldn't have been a big deal, and they just immediately
write that person off and move on to the next
person that appears to be perfect. But everybody, ourselves included,
we all have red flags. You can't just write people
off immediately for that kind of stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:29:46):
Yeah, God, I gotta find my red flags. What can
it mean?

Speaker 13 (01:29:53):
I always so Sheldon that I'm like, Honey, if you
knew this when we were dating, would you had run
the other way?

Speaker 2 (01:29:59):
And he's like, let's not talk about that.

Speaker 7 (01:30:02):
Oh wow, changing that subject. This list, by the way, again,
I'm loving it. A great list.

Speaker 3 (01:30:09):
You right in here, Nate. I just lost it though,
Where did it go?

Speaker 10 (01:30:16):
I got the last one? You want me to read
the last one? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:30:18):
I read the last one. Okay.

Speaker 10 (01:30:19):
Your love life is just one area of your life.
Don't forget to nurture the rest significant other side. When
you visualize coming home to a life you love, what
does that look like? So it's not. Your life isn't
all about finding that person. You have other areas of
your life that you should nurture and enjoy, not just

(01:30:40):
finding some.

Speaker 2 (01:30:40):
Good one that is a good one.

Speaker 13 (01:30:42):
And sometimes if you nurture those other areas and you
don't focus so much on finding the person, the person
kind of shows up, you know what I mean, in
the most unexpected places.

Speaker 7 (01:30:53):
Well, if I could just end it with this text,
it really sums it all up. I'm good with an old,
rich guy with a heart condition.

Speaker 2 (01:31:06):
All right, okay, and there you go.

Speaker 3 (01:31:10):
Shall I send them my number? And there you go?
This has been awesome. Let's get into Danielle's report.

Speaker 7 (01:31:17):
So much going on today, Danielle, it's time to change
the subject. But that was a lot of interesting.

Speaker 2 (01:31:22):
Ye get there.

Speaker 7 (01:31:23):
Thanks for all your texts, and thanks for thinking about
these things, and thanks for continuing this conversation with your
friends at lunch today or at home tonight.

Speaker 3 (01:31:30):
So let's do it all right, Danielle's going on.

Speaker 13 (01:31:31):
So we're watching all these stories unfold at the Olympics,
and we love them.

Speaker 2 (01:31:34):
And on Sunday, Laurence Scruggs.

Speaker 13 (01:31:36):
Became the first black American woman to meddle at the Olympics.
She took home silver and her family couldn't be happier
for her. Apparently, her family was like super super happy
for her, and they cannot stop crying. She says, My
family's a total mess. My mom cries every five seconds.
My grandma too, And she says it's just the most

(01:31:58):
amazing thing after her silver metal win, and she's just
so proud and they're all so proud of her. I
think this is so amazing, so very very cool. Travis
Kelcey and Jason Kelcey, are you ready? They are getting
ready to sign that one hundred million dollar deal for
their new Heights podcast.

Speaker 4 (01:32:15):
Wow Jason, Yeah.

Speaker 13 (01:32:17):
Yep, so yeah right now, they're like shopping it around
and people really want it and they're gonna basically get
what they want for it.

Speaker 2 (01:32:23):
So that's crazy.

Speaker 13 (01:32:25):
CNN is working on a new travel series. It's called
My Happy Place, and this series is gonna swap out
the celebrity host with each episode. You're gonna get like
Alan Cumming, Torogi p Henson, a Billy Porter, Octavia Spencer,
Quest Love, and they're gonna take you to some of
their favorite places and it's gonna show you what makes
these destinations so unique and so special.

Speaker 7 (01:32:47):
All Right, if they invited you to be on Happy
Places on CNN, Danielle, where would that be?

Speaker 2 (01:32:51):
I'd I'd probably go to England first, Yes.

Speaker 3 (01:32:54):
Right, what about you?

Speaker 11 (01:32:55):
Gandhi ooh, I don't know anything about.

Speaker 4 (01:32:59):
It for a second, mm hmm.

Speaker 3 (01:33:02):
What about you, Nate?

Speaker 10 (01:33:03):
Oh, gosh, I love I've been loving Italy lately. That's
that's really my happy place lately.

Speaker 4 (01:33:10):
In Jamaica.

Speaker 2 (01:33:11):
I love you.

Speaker 3 (01:33:11):
There you go, Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 2 (01:33:14):
I could take you to Disney, but like that's kind.

Speaker 3 (01:33:16):
Of that's a happy place.

Speaker 2 (01:33:17):
Is happy my happy place?

Speaker 7 (01:33:19):
What about you, scary? Where would you take us on
your c special happy place? My happy place?

Speaker 16 (01:33:23):
Well, judging from U Andrews last vacation Japan, anywhere in Tokyo.

Speaker 3 (01:33:28):
Well, you haven't been there yet.

Speaker 16 (01:33:29):
I haven't been there yet, but it looks like scary scary.

Speaker 7 (01:33:32):
You can't take us to your happy places if you've
never been there. So where where have you been so far?

Speaker 3 (01:33:36):
God? Scary? Actually the Bahamas? I love the Bahamas. There
you go pla so many times.

Speaker 13 (01:33:46):
One, so many places that make us happy.

Speaker 7 (01:33:49):
I would take you to I Hop. I'm gonna take
you to I Hop. Maybe maybe waffle house is my
happy place? Meet me there, all right, Danielle, all right?

Speaker 13 (01:33:57):
So Part three of that nineties show was not to
supposed premiere in October twenty fourth, but it got bumped
up by a couple of months. So you're gonna get
in August twenty second if you watch The Lincoln Lawyer.
Even though season three of The Lincoln Lawyer just wrap production, quietly,
I think they're already working on season four behind the scenes,
Superman has rapped filming. James Gun announced the filming has wrapped.

(01:34:19):
That's July twenty, twenty twenty five release, So that's on
the way. Rolling Stone magazine came out with their list
of the twenty twenty four songs of the Summer, and
let me give you the top six, giving you the
top six because of our song. Tipsy Shaboozi comes in
at number six, So there you go.

Speaker 2 (01:34:36):
I had some help.

Speaker 13 (01:34:36):
Post Malone featuring Morgan Wallen comes in at number five.
Chapel Roan with Good Luck Babe comes in at number four,
Espresso with Sabrina Carpenter coming in at number three, Not
like us. Kendrick Lamar is number two, and they're saying
the number one summer song is Charlie XCX von Dutch.

Speaker 2 (01:34:54):
Do you guys agree? Disagree? How you feel?

Speaker 7 (01:34:56):
Wow?

Speaker 3 (01:34:57):
That's a good line, good list.

Speaker 2 (01:34:59):
Yeah, you like it.

Speaker 3 (01:35:00):
I thought it Espresso would be number one.

Speaker 2 (01:35:01):

Speaker 1 (01:36:00):
Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 3 (01:36:03):
Let's us can leave tomorrow is August first?

Speaker 7 (01:36:06):
Here we go, Wow, Today's yeah, there is a payday involved, yes,
but look back on the July.

Speaker 3 (01:36:14):
Did we have a good July? It was?

Speaker 7 (01:36:15):
It was popping a lot of stuff, A lot of
stuff went down a lot and it's still going down.

Speaker 3 (01:36:23):
I'm sure.

Speaker 7 (01:36:25):
Let's see what in Daniel's report are we focusing on today?

Speaker 3 (01:36:30):
Like, what are your headlines today let's line we we have.

Speaker 13 (01:36:35):
You just did your report, but yeah, we have a
lot of Olympics that we were talking about, right, talking
about the song of the Summer, which according to Rolling
Stone is Von Dutch Charlie XCX and we don't one
hundred percent agree with that one.

Speaker 2 (01:36:47):
Talking about how much.

Speaker 13 (01:36:48):
Money they are paying to get Robert Downey Junior to
be part of the Marvel universe again, which is crazy.
Talking about the greatest liar be in of all time,
Halsey and Selena Gomez talking about all the crazy negativity
they're getting and how sad it's making them.

Speaker 2 (01:37:12):
Yeah, people really do need to stop that. It's crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:37:15):
Angela Jolie's son. He was in that accident, was he?

Speaker 2 (01:37:18):
Yeah, like an e bike type of accident, did not
have a helmet on. Thank gosh. He's doing okay, but
you know, come on, gotta be smarter.

Speaker 7 (01:37:26):
Hey, are any of you or did you any of
you catch on to that meatless Monday thing for a while?

Speaker 2 (01:37:33):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (01:37:34):
Yeah, absolutely, I like it. I actually tried to do
that more than just mondays.

Speaker 7 (01:37:38):
But yeah, right, we tried it for a while, then
we didn't do it. I was reading something today saying
eating vegan for two months could actually knock years off
your biological clock, your biological age. Meaning yeah, if you eat, drink,
and breathe cheese, this probably isn't for you. But they're
saying if you eat vegan for about two it could

(01:38:00):
turn back your clock.

Speaker 2 (01:38:01):
WHOA so difficult?

Speaker 7 (01:38:05):
So apparently how this works science The old cells in
your body, I don't know. That's old cells in your
body will start to like regenerate and do their thing
and be healthier. If you can just go meatless and
go vegan for two months, that's it. Two months isn't

(01:38:25):
that long, is it?

Speaker 2 (01:38:26):
No, it's not.

Speaker 11 (01:38:28):
But like if it was vegetarian, I think that would
be one thing, but vegan is like a whole different ballgame.

Speaker 3 (01:38:33):
Well, yeah, that's true.

Speaker 11 (01:38:34):
Yeah, you know you're not putting creamer in your coffee,
no dairy of any sort, no cheese like, none of
that stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:38:40):
That's tough.

Speaker 4 (01:38:40):
I'm not saying they're not right. I'm just saying that'd
be really tough.

Speaker 13 (01:38:43):
I'm telling you, though, Dino with the pink hair, who's vegan, Yep,
she says all the time that after you stop eating
the cheese for a while and the milk products whatever.
All of a sudden, it's like your mind just opens
up and everything just seems clearer and better and happier.

Speaker 2 (01:39:00):
She said. It's just this overall mental and body feeling
that you get.

Speaker 4 (01:39:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:39:05):
Yeah, well, they say the same with sugar, as a
matter of fact. Yeah yeah, and sugar, Oh my god.
You know what, at the end of the day, you
could live with that sugar for a while.

Speaker 4 (01:39:18):
Or I did it for a long time, thousands.

Speaker 7 (01:39:21):
Of years, unless they did a couple of thousand, wasn't
it like, you know, Froggy Froggy Froggy is a good
example of that, right, I mean, basically gave up all
sugar unless it was naturally occurring, you know whatever, And
it same it said, he says, it just totally changed everything.

Speaker 3 (01:39:36):
What were we saying, Gandhi?

Speaker 11 (01:39:37):
I was reading that they were looking at at skulls
of ancient people, and all of the people from back
then had their entire mouth fully intact. Where now, when
you look at the skulls of people who have died
in the sixties, seventies, eighties and beyond, very few people
have all of their teeth fully intact and healthy because
of sugar. Mm.

Speaker 3 (01:39:57):
Well, is anyone surprised at that.

Speaker 2 (01:39:59):
No, not at all.

Speaker 4 (01:40:01):
The greatest drug ever known.

Speaker 7 (01:40:03):
I know, if we're going to talk about eating, can
we talk about snacking. Here's my problem is I snacked
too much.

Speaker 4 (01:40:11):
Same yep.

Speaker 7 (01:40:12):
And you know, and I work out of the house
a lot, meaning the kitchen is always there, you know,
so there's always something ready to go.

Speaker 16 (01:40:19):
Yep.

Speaker 7 (01:40:20):
And you know, it's one thing to you know, watch
your three meals or whatever meals per day and be
careful what you're eating there. But when it comes to
these snacks, that's where I totally blow it a.

Speaker 4 (01:40:31):
Lot, absolutely, especially if if you're bored.

Speaker 11 (01:40:34):
I feel like, when I'm bored, I need to find
better habits because I just find myself in front of
the fridge like a zombie all the time. I just
look there, there's nothing in there for me. But I'm back.

Speaker 2 (01:40:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (01:40:45):
I feel like I do better in the morning too,
Like I'm pretty good in the morning because I'm like, yeah,
today's gonna be a good day, and then by the afternoon,
I'm just like shoving it all in.

Speaker 3 (01:40:55):
Well.

Speaker 7 (01:40:55):
You know, I know it's old school way of diet thinking,
but it really truly is the best way to to
monitor what you're eating, and this monitor what you're eating.
You gotta right now, what you eat, you be blown
away if you actually look back to see what you've eating. Okay,
here is it's nine am, right, so so far this morning,
I've had a bowl of chicken soup, right, homemade, all good,
so I know what's in there. I ate some oh,

(01:41:18):
a little bit of cold chicken breast. It wasn't fried,
but it was something.

Speaker 3 (01:41:23):
Yeah, And I ate something else, what was it? So
I don't even remember. That's the problem.

Speaker 4 (01:41:31):
You put cameras in the kitchen that keep track.

Speaker 7 (01:41:33):
Of you, Yeah, exactly, And I'm sure I will eat
something else at some point, you know. But if you're
stopping yourself and being aware, making yourself aware of what
you've eaten, you're like, oh.

Speaker 3 (01:41:43):
God, I do have a problem. I know I do.
I don't know. The average American eats three snacks per day.

Speaker 2 (01:41:51):
That's it. We were saying that, then, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:41:53):
It's below average. They're failure to our.

Speaker 11 (01:41:58):
Work culture where we just have food coming out of
us hot and fast all the time, and it's delicious,
and it's just sitting there.

Speaker 4 (01:42:04):
Oh my god. Game over.

Speaker 7 (01:42:06):
I love this text because it gives you another way
of looking at this. Whether you eat healthy or go
to the gym or not, we all still die eventually. Okay,
that is true.

Speaker 2 (01:42:14):
But you can die sooner if you do the wrong things.

Speaker 3 (01:42:17):
No, and diet more slowly and more painful. Sorry.

Speaker 7 (01:42:20):
But at the other side of this is the enjoyment
you get out of eating a big old sugary whatever.
You know what I'm saying, A big old buttery sugary whatever.
Some people don't enjoy it as much as others.

Speaker 3 (01:42:33):
I love.

Speaker 7 (01:42:34):
I love a good old, massive bowl of ice cream,
you know. And I know that it's not the best
thing for me, but I always think there's lots of
protein in here.

Speaker 3 (01:42:43):
What's that scary?

Speaker 16 (01:42:44):
It's crazy because I want to do the right thing,
and in my mind I start going there, Like, for instance,
yesterday I ordered this giant salad loaded with all healthy
things from this place Alfalfa, and then I scroll down
on the Uber eats and it's like homemade donuts.

Speaker 3 (01:43:01):
I gotta have one, so I actually ordered.

Speaker 16 (01:43:04):
So it's like I'm trying to do the healthy thing,
and then I do a super unhealthy thing right after it.

Speaker 3 (01:43:10):
Why did I my fat finger hit that button? And
ordered that donut. I can't tell.

Speaker 7 (01:43:14):
You, but it was because because because you're like you,
like you like donuts were good.

Speaker 16 (01:43:21):
I was gonna do something healthy and then but then
I saw the donuts and I'm like, I gotta have
one of their donuts.

Speaker 11 (01:43:25):
I don't find that unusual at all scary food that
we eat in general, right, Like if you look, companies
are putting very addictive properties into all.

Speaker 4 (01:43:34):
The food we eat.

Speaker 11 (01:43:35):
That makes you eat that salad and then think that
wasn't enough. I need my little crack dough.

Speaker 7 (01:43:40):
Well, which leads me to another thought. I had cracked donuts.
For instance, if you live in Italy, right, and you
eat food that's regional from your area where you live,
because that's basically what you do in Italy. It's all
very healthy, organic food with no pesticide to know what
this know that, and you know and even though someone

(01:44:01):
would say to you, will pastas very fat and well,
for some reason, they're eating a ton of pasta over
there and they're not getting fat.

Speaker 3 (01:44:07):
The food quality.

Speaker 9 (01:44:08):
You know what.

Speaker 7 (01:44:09):
You talked about this the other day, Nate, yep, Well,
I know this is kind of gross. Yeah, but you're
but you your bathroom habits yet like perfect because you
were in Italy eating better tasteyr Iris food.

Speaker 10 (01:44:21):
I was in Italy for two weeks, and so I'm
eating all of the food that they have at the restaurants,
which is actual real tomatoes that taste like tomatoes, and
food that's just made right there in the kitchen. They
don't have preservatives. It's not been sitting on a shelf
for six months. And I got home and I was
having frequent, regular soft bowel moves. My god, but let

(01:44:43):
me continue.

Speaker 3 (01:44:43):
So I'm like, this is this isn't there isn't there
a better way to say that? It's too late.

Speaker 10 (01:44:49):
So I'm like, this is this is what's going on.
These are the symptoms. And so she'll what have you
done differently? I was just in Italy for two weeks.
Oh well, that's why your whole gut biome is changed,
and that's how your body's probably supposed to be working,
you know.

Speaker 3 (01:45:04):
Not from.

Speaker 2 (01:45:07):
Yes I did.

Speaker 10 (01:45:09):
I'm like, I'm only you know, I'm going every day
like twice a day. I normally go like once a week.
You know, She's like that's not healthy.

Speaker 16 (01:45:16):
You know, they don't use inflammatory seed oils. They use
like beef tallow instead, which is much healthier for you.
And they don't use high fruit those corn syrup it's illegal.

Speaker 11 (01:45:26):
And they walk around and they're active. We sit around
so much everywhere.

Speaker 7 (01:45:33):
Yeah, well, you know, a year after year after year,
the experts look at all the diets that are out there,
and the Mediterranean diet typically.

Speaker 3 (01:45:41):
Always comes out on top.

Speaker 7 (01:45:43):
The way they eat in the Mediterranean world is a
whole different world and something we should be listening to
the experts about. You know, what was that show that?

Speaker 3 (01:45:54):
Okay, do that? Where? What was that show about the
Blue Zones? That was that? What it was? It was?

Speaker 4 (01:46:00):
It was called the Blue Zone.

Speaker 7 (01:46:01):
And this guy, this great, great journalist was going around
the world and visiting these these communities where the average
age was higher and people were dying at a very
higher rate in the hundreds, right, And it's because of
their diets, but because of their interactivity with each other,
the dependence they had on each other for happiness, and

(01:46:23):
they would dance and have drink wine and live these
lives that are fabulous and they're living to be over
one hundred years old on average. There's no pesticides over there,
no no bs. That's amazing, and then we kind of
wonder why we are where we are. People are just
in a hurry and stressed out, like Nate for instance,
right here. Yeah, no, you can't relax.

Speaker 3 (01:46:46):
You're like, gotta take a break. You gotta take a break.
That's because you durant.

Speaker 13 (01:46:50):
Well, I know, but I'm just relaxing extra day.

Speaker 7 (01:46:55):
You are, You're my agent, whatever, right, Gandhi.

Speaker 11 (01:47:00):
I think another thing with the Mediterranean diet because people
will point to, oh, but they're eating pasta. They don't
eat pasta in the same portions either. When you sit
down and order food here, at most places you get
a meal. How often do we say, damn, we could
have split that right, still had leftovers.

Speaker 2 (01:47:16):
You get the whole box of pasta.

Speaker 4 (01:47:20):
Crazy, It's crazy.

Speaker 7 (01:47:22):
That's why we have that bottomless pasta pit over the
all in a gardener where.

Speaker 11 (01:47:26):
It is what could possibly go wrong?

Speaker 3 (01:47:30):
Nothing?

Speaker 15 (01:47:31):
Elvis ter Ran the haggiest elvist ran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 7 (01:47:36):
When they's breakfast two for three dollars. Biggie bundles let
you choose your perfect duo from your favorite four including
a sausage or egg and cheese, biscuit, small seasoned potatoes,
or medium hot coffee.

Speaker 12 (01:47:46):
Limited time only during breakfast hours. US price and participation
may vary. Not valid in a combo single item at
regular price.

Speaker 3 (01:47:57):
A question.

Speaker 7 (01:47:58):
Do you have someone in your circle to friends who
always makes the phone calls on Monday to apologize for
being too drunk and crazy over the weekend.

Speaker 4 (01:48:08):
Yes you can.

Speaker 11 (01:48:09):
Yes, Also I had to make a couple of those
calls this week, so I won't even blame all my friends.

Speaker 7 (01:48:13):
But yes, well I'm not saying every once in a while,
I can see how it could. It could happen for
some of us every once in a while, okay, But
every weekend, every Monday morning, the call you get to call.

Speaker 3 (01:48:23):
Oh god, I just I just wanted to say, I'm
so sorry. I really am.

Speaker 7 (01:48:28):
You know, I just had too much fun and it's
turned into something because we all know that different people
respond differently to alcohol than others, and sometimes when you're
over in vibe, I don't know. You know, Gandhi, that
that weekend that you and I went up to June
Farms and we had a little to drink that night,
we did, but you you did nothing worth apology.

Speaker 3 (01:48:48):
You were great.

Speaker 4 (01:48:48):
Oh I was, I was rained in. That was a good.
That was a good cutoff time for me. I knew
when it was time and I stopped. I don't know
what happened this weekend.

Speaker 13 (01:48:57):
I think there were animals involved there, and you knew
that you wanted to be involved with the animals, and
you wanted to do that sober so when it Dane.

Speaker 3 (01:49:05):
That's sad, But you know when animals were involved.

Speaker 2 (01:49:08):
She loved her animals.

Speaker 11 (01:49:09):
Elvis, you were asking me if I had like unidentified
bruises and stuff, and I didn't think I had any.

Speaker 4 (01:49:14):
I just found something. I had a bunch of cuts
on my arm right here.

Speaker 3 (01:49:18):
I don't know if I look at that. We all
we all get these.

Speaker 7 (01:49:21):
We all get these mystery bruises and mystery cuts and
this or that. Yeah, anyway, so if you are that
person that has to make a phone call every Monday
morning to apologize.

Speaker 3 (01:49:30):
Maybe you should think about it. I don't know.

Speaker 7 (01:49:35):
You know, we were center talking about our favorite songs
to hit the dance floor with yesterday, and this was
on that list.

Speaker 3 (01:49:42):
Was not? Was it not?

Speaker 4 (01:49:43):
It was No, it was Nate's alternative song. Alternate song.

Speaker 2 (01:49:46):
I just say, awful, look at him dance thing. Oh
my god.

Speaker 3 (01:49:50):
But wasn't there another the other Whitney songs. I Want
to Dance with Somebody. We always loved that one.

Speaker 4 (01:49:54):
Yeah, there were two Whitney songs, but.

Speaker 3 (01:49:56):
Not that this is the other one. How will I know?
We thought we'd play for you because it's good. Oh,
there goes Elvis.

Speaker 1 (01:50:03):
Elvista Rand in the morning show.

Speaker 3 (01:50:05):
Oh it's kind of weird, slowdown summer. What are we
watching on TV tonight?

Speaker 2 (01:50:09):
There's so much Olympic coverage today.

Speaker 13 (01:50:11):
We've got men's basketball, beat volleyball, women's soccer, and a bunch.

Speaker 2 (01:50:15):
Of other stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:50:15):
Say peace out, everybody,
