Oh you know, I can't really say.

Speaker 1 (03:31):

What I want for Christmas this year is a.

Speaker 1 (05:19):

Speaker 2 (05:33):

Speaker 1 (05:33):
We should move the show to London.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Remember when we did the show there for a week
and was so fantastic. The afternoon program is going.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
To be up at the crack of noon, and the
three things we need to know, Gandhi, what's going on?

Speaker 2 (05:45):
All right?

Speaker 4 (05:45):
Let's start in Madison, Wisconsin, where police say the motive
of the fifteen year old female school shooter was a
combination of factors. A teacher and a student at Abundant
Life Christian School were killed Monday, and it appears the
student shooter died from a self inflicted gunshot wound as well. Yes,
Madison Police Chief Sean Barnes said he's not ready to
reveal those factors yet. While the investigation continues. Barnes said

(06:07):
officers are examining the online activity of students and warned
that documents that have been circulated online have not yet
been verified. Members of the House Intelligence Committee have received
a classified briefing about the recent drone activity over New
Jersey and New York. Does that mean we have answers?

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Oh no, no, not at all.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
Reps from the FBI, CIA, and National Intelligence Agency attended
the briefing yesterday. Lawmakers exited saying there were very reassured
that nothing nefarious was going on in the disguise. Meanwhile,
New Jersey Congressman Josh Gotdheimer is calling for a new
drone air traffic control system to track drones when flying
over critical infrastructure. And finally, the Federal Trade Commission is

(06:48):
banning hidden junk fees for hotels and even tickets. The
agency announced Tuesday it finalized the bipartisan rule. Businesses will
now be required to show the true total price when
they offered as advertise any price of live event tickets
or short term lodge. Yeah, we've all done that, where
you go buy a ticket and it's twice if not
more costs when you actually go to check out.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Terrible the ft FTC.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
Chair so that people deserve to know upfront what they're
being asked to pay, without worrying that they'll later be
saddled with mysterious bees that they haven't budgeted for and
can't avoid. And those are your three things, you.

Speaker 1 (07:22):

Speaker 4 (08:05):
They don't get followed, right, Why we bother?

little secret that's helping people find relief from that annoying, itching,
scratching feeling that you get from dry eye that just
doesn't seem to go away. It's called my Bow, also
known as per floro hexeloctane ophthalmic solution. My Bow is
used to treat the signs and symptoms of dry eye disease,

(10:50):
and it's the first and only prescription drop that directly
targets the number one cause of dry eye, which is
too much tear evaporation of your contact lenses before using
my BO and then wait at least thirty minutes before
putting them back in. Eye redness and blurred vision may occur.
If you're looking for dry eye relief, ask your doctor
about a different kind of eye drop prescription my BO

Why are you pointing them?

Speaker 1 (11:33):
MEA, what do you mean?

Speaker 3 (11:35):
This is what we're doing?

Speaker 1 (11:36):
And you point to Danielle Rude, No, that's what we're doing.
The computer's messed up.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
You were muttering to yourself.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
No, it's it's it doesn't matter, all right. I wasn't
muttering to myself.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
I heard you mutter something under your brain.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
I said, what do we what are we doing here?
I know what we're doing here, but I don't know
what we're doing here.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
Okay, okay, thank you.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
You must have Holiday Heart? What is Holiday Heart? I
learned last night. It's not a movie on the Hallmark Channel.
A lot of people drink a lot during the holidays
and it gives them aphib where they have, you know,
like fluttering hearts a little bit, and they're saying it
can be bad, it can be dangerous. They call it
holiday Hearts. Really, yeah, I didn't know that, well, now

(12:19):
you do so Holiday heart anxiety. We know a lot
of people if you if you drink too much, you
do get anxiety. Yeah, it raises your heart rate and
ay you have you get this apib thing. So be careful.
Let's not overdo it, okay. Rule number one at today's party,
I guess no shots. Why I don't want a holiday

(12:39):
heart at my holiday party party? I thought, okay, shots,
I will tell you we're not saying the name of
the place. Very hot, hot place here in New York City,
they have these shot glasses that are mounted on top
of hot wheels cars, so you can get a shot
and roll it.

Speaker 4 (12:59):
Across the Oh, what could possibly go wrong?

Speaker 3 (13:03):
I'm in no, can't do it?

Speaker 1 (13:04):
Holiday heart? All right, Danielle, all.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Right, quickly, I have to say happy birthday to somebody,
one of our listeners, Rick so Fly on Instagram. He
is thirty six today. I know he's been going through
a lot and we want to send him a happy
birthday because he is one of our best listeners and
we love him. So happy birthday, Rick enjoy, Rick Fly,
enjoy your thirty six.

Speaker 15 (13:26):
All right.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
So our boy Max George from the Wanted, we are
sending you our best today. So you know, he's been
out on the road with Siva and he wasn't feeling well.
So thankfully he went to the doctor, which a lot
of people don't do. Went to the doctor, and he's
having some issues with his heart. He actually has to
have surgery. He's hoping he gets it really quickly and
that he'll be home for the holiday and we'll see

(13:48):
what happens. But our best is going out to him.
So listen to your body, everybody.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
Max George, he's young, he's got an excellent body. Oh yeah,
he's in great shape, right, and even he is prone
to hard issue. So yeah, when you don't feel well, go.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
To the doctor exactly, please please. So the Kardashian Jenner family,
for years, they've been doing this Christmas Eve bash. I
mean it is ridiculous. They invite every celebrity. Their house
is like always beautiful and they you know, have somebody
decorated and everything. Well, this year they are not going
to be doing that. They're going to have a smaller
intimate family gathering. And you're wondering, why, oh why, Oh,

(14:23):
it's only because they're doing construction. So of course they
said they will still dress up to the nines and
then of course next year they will do it again.
Olivia Rodrigo is donating over two million dollars from her
Guts World tour to women's charities worldwide through her Fun
for Good initiative. The funds raised from the tour ticket
sales will support ten organizations across regions like the United States, Canada,

(14:46):
Europe and Asia and focuses on girls' education, reproductive rights,
and gender based violence prevention. So that is pretty damn cool.
Tidal Wave Comics gave us a couple of comic books
featuring Tailor Swift and Beyonce and Lady Gaga. Will now
we have one featuring Sabrina Carpenter. It is celebrating her
pop journey from Disney Channel to global music sensation. It's

(15:07):
twenty two pages and you can get your hands on that.
Michael Boublay actually was at the Grand Old Opry. It
was his first time at the Grand Old Opry. He
was there with Carly Pearce because you know, he's been
working with her on the voice and they have a
holiday song out. She's been at the Grand Old Opry
like over a one hundred times, but this was his
first appearance on Sunday, So pretty darn cool for mister

(15:28):
Michael Boublay And guys, I know I'm gonna go see it.
There's a Bluey movie in the works. It's gonna be
so awesome.

Speaker 7 (15:35):
I love Blowe.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
He's so funny. Blue is a girl. By the way,
just in case you didn't know anyway, we written and
directed by the person who created Bluie, even though that
person has stepped away from the TV show to focus
on other things, including the movie. But we are going
to get a movie. I know a lot of people
excited about that. And did you see Mariah Carey thankfully

(15:56):
is feeling a lot better. I think she had the flu.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
It means Chris had the flu.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Yes, here Rihanna went to see her in concert and
Mariah signed her boob. Yeah, that can happen, as you must.
The iHeart Radio jingle ball on tonight ABC. Is that
where you can watch it? Yes, it is, so make
sure you watch that. I'm not even gonna talk about
anything else because that's what you need to watch tonight.
Although the series premiere of This for You Gandhi The
Secret Lives of Animals on Apple TV Plus sign in. Okay,

(16:24):
and that's my Daniill report.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Yes, our iHeart radio music. I heard radio jingle Ball
is on ABC tonight, as Daniel just told us. And
then it starts on Hulu tomorrow.

Speaker 15 (16:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Oh that's right, and you'll see us there. Make sure
you watch. I'm so excited Taco Bell.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
I hope I'm not.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Stealing your story from your food news tomorrow. Froggy, you're good.
Tago Bell is adding chicken nuggets tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
That's so cool.

Speaker 15 (16:49):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
Yeah, let that process's let that sink in.

Speaker 4 (16:52):
What about these nuggets signifies Taco Bell?

Speaker 1 (16:56):
Well, I'm glad you asked, Gandhi.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
They're coated in breadcrumbs and crushed up tortilla chips. That
makes them Mexican.

Speaker 4 (17:05):
That sounds crunch.

Speaker 11 (17:06):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
I love chicken nuggets in any former, but I love
Taco Bell. And they tested like over one hundred of
sausage sauces. They landed on three. The three sauces to
go with the new chicken nuggets at Taco Bell are
the Bell sauce maybe with tomatoes, chilies and garlic, the
Jalipino honey mustard. In a hidden valley fire ranch, there's

(17:31):
fire sauce.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
Mixed in that sounds amazing.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
Wow, Wow, supplies last. I mean it's not forever. I
mean I remember when Taco Bell first started serving fries.
People are like, what's gone on? That's not Tago last Huff,
leave them alone. I love Taco Bell.

Speaker 4 (17:45):
I'm more of a Fiesta potato girl myself.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
They're good.

Speaker 4 (17:48):
Those are so good.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Are you gonna try the new chicken nuggets?

Speaker 10 (17:50):
I might.

Speaker 4 (17:51):
I'm more interested in how you become this sauce tester. Hundreds,
oh my god, hundreds of sauce. That'll be the best
job ever.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Hey, So Timothy Shallo May is gonna be on with
us in about twenty ish minutes. We found him in London.
We tracked him down. This film, this film has coming
out is well, you know, Nate saw it already loved it.

Speaker 14 (18:14):
I didn't know much about Bob Dylan. I knew a
few songs. I knew a little bit about him. My god,
was that fascinating. It was like taking a page out
of history that I had never read, and it was fascinating.
So he said, the film's fantastic. So we're gonna have
him on and pretend we've seen it. Okay, they sent
us a screener. I can't get it to work.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
So Timothy Shallo May is on about twenty something minutes,
so I hang out here.

Speaker 12 (18:39):
Santa.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
All I want for Christmas this year is a fan,
because I love the way it feels on me when
I go to sleep.

Speaker 18 (18:46):
Dear Emily, here's your fan, and here's Santa stomping on
it with his big black boots.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
I hope you never fall asleep.

Speaker 12 (18:59):
Love, Merry Christmas.

Speaker 8 (19:05):
You want?

Speaker 7 (19:05):
From Elvis duran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
Christmas and Hanukah right around the corner. No need to
panic because Macy's is always convenient. Get all your shopping
done and a little something for yourself too. Let Macy's
be your guide to gifting. Shop now at Macy's dot
com or visit your local Macy's. Really do I really

(19:28):
seem like I'm in a bad one.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
I think you're a little madder than normal.

Speaker 6 (19:32):
He's angry Mary Christmas. From Elvis Durant on the Morning Show.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
We are so excited about Timothy's chalomet being on the show.
In a few minutes. New new movie is called A
Complete Unknown, all about Bob Dylan. Who're just talking about
this you know, Bob Dylan was out in the sixties,
and there were a lot of artists, musical artists that
were out in huge and superstars just like him in
the sixties, and a lot of current day artists rely

(19:58):
on them as inspiration. Not a lot of people come
out and say, well, yeah, Bob Dylan is my inspiration.
Maybe it's just the artist that we play, you know,
maybe we're on the wrong station. But anyway, Timothy shallow
may we've seen him in so many great films and
he's just an amazing actor. But this is this kind
of role that you you've become someone else, Yeah, someone

(20:20):
else that is somewhat familiar to other people. So what's
that like as an actor? Sharpening that pencil?

Speaker 11 (20:27):
You know?

Speaker 1 (20:27):
I can't wait to speak with him, So Timothy shallow
May on in just a few minutes. I am so
caught up with Landman. Is anyone else watching Landman other
than Nate?

Speaker 15 (20:38):
Not yet?

Speaker 1 (20:40):
You've seen some of it, Gandhi, you get distracted.

Speaker 4 (20:42):
I've seen four and a half episodes, shed a half okay,
because he started going off on this tangent about something
and I wanted to look it up and see if,
in fact, that was true. So then I stopped at
about a half mark because I went down a rabbit hole.

Speaker 15 (20:56):
It is.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
It is my new favorite show.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
It's Billy Bob thorpe Man. He can deliver a monoli
like like nobody.

Speaker 1 (21:03):
He's amazing. He is amazing. And I mean all the actors,
all the roles are so interesting and so integral to
this story. It's it's really well done. And being a
kid from Texas, I mean it's based in Texas. The
oil filled the patch where that they were, you know,
they were digging for oil. They were drilling for oil anyway,
and all the drama that surrounded that, because that's kind

(21:23):
of what I grew up with a little bit. So
to see you Texans in their glory, it's interesting.

Speaker 4 (21:30):
How do you feel about their accents good?

Speaker 1 (21:32):
I think they're I think they're great. Texas accents are
It's it's like New York accents. It's a wide spectrum
of the yeah, very dialects. We had that in Texas
as well. Plus you have the Mexican culture there, and
I mean it's it's it's pretty well written and written
in my point of view, in my thoughts. What else

(21:52):
is rolling on TV? That people are really getting into. Froggy,
are you watching anything other than football and gold?

Speaker 9 (21:59):
I mean, right now, football is really big because the
playoffs are about to start as we get down to
the end of the season. But there's so many holiday
specials on. I'm just watching Rudolph and Frosty and Charlie
Brown and all these clas. Every single night I find
something new to watch.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
Don't forget the rom coms that are fabulous that I
know you love so much.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
You know I love those, But I'm excited to actually
be able to sink my teeth into a show I'm
really loving.

Speaker 3 (22:24):
So Land Man is it for me?

Speaker 1 (22:25):
And you know I love how they only release one
episode per week.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
Oh see, that's good.

Speaker 8 (22:30):
I like that.

Speaker 4 (22:31):
Do you watch one week or do you save them up?

Speaker 1 (22:33):
Well, it comes out on Sundays, I believe right.

Speaker 15 (22:36):
Yeah, you're so.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
I watched this past weekends. Yeah last night, okay, I
was up late. I was up to like eleven watching.
I couldn't put it down and God, so good. So
I'll get back to this holiday party today. By the way,
Froggy is not flying up, so we'll have an empty
seat at the table for all We're gonna miss it.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
I'm so sad about it.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
We'll see in Miami, though, Yes, I will see there.
We're flying out tomorrow. We're gonna be in Miami till
Sun day because we have jingle Ball Saturday night. So excited. Yeah,
it's gonna be a lot of fun. And so you know,
we do our best to you know, try to pack everything,
uh in a in a bag that's small enough to
carry on carry on so we don't have to check

(23:16):
because when we get there, if one person checks, then
we all have to wait.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
Yes, this morning I got as soon as I walked in,
Elvis goes, hey, are you checking a bag? And I
said no, No, No, I didn't plan on it, Like
I'm scared. You're scared to say you might check it?

Speaker 1 (23:30):
Well, no, I shouldn't. I think the new rules should
be if we travel and one person checks a bag,
they have to get their own transportation.

Speaker 11 (23:37):
Yes, love that.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
Why are you checking the bag? Scared?

Speaker 17 (23:40):
No, But the way Elvis asked me as well, it
sounded like he was looking for permission for him to
check the bum.

Speaker 1 (23:45):
Okay, hear me out. OK, So we're gonna get there.
This is what it's gonna be on Thursday tomorrow, so
we have Thursday dinner outfit. Yeah, we have Friday morning show,
then we have Friday we have to go out to
lunch and we have dinner, and then we have Friday dinner.

Speaker 11 (23:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
And then we have Saturday morning and go shopping, and
then we have Saturday night with his jingle ball and
then Sunday travel. That's seven outfits.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Yeah, that's a lot of shoes. I agree. I was
going through my shoes yesterday, going all right, they'll fit.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
You understand what I'm saying I do.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
I mean, look, if you want to check a bag,
I'll check a bag. But I don't have to check
a bag.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
I'm just letting you know. I'm kind of or we
buy all new stuff when we get there.

Speaker 15 (24:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
Yeah, as long as you're paying, Well, that's fine with us.

Speaker 13 (24:31):
Yes, me.

Speaker 4 (24:32):
Are you checking a bag? I said no, I'm just
gonna bring a carry on. He said, for three days,
you're not bringing a check bag. I said, for three
days you are. This is crazy.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
But he can go like two weeks with a check bag.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
Why no, she's only three foot two.

Speaker 4 (24:46):
I was trying to explain them. Is when you roll
up my shirts there big.

Speaker 1 (24:49):
You don't use a lot of cloth.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
My trick also is my little you know, my personal
item back. It has a shoe thing on the bottom
of it. Oh, I can put extra shoes in that.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
One of the shooting on the bottom takes up space
for this stuff up top too. Let's be on all right,
Timothy Shalla may of course this new film a complete unknown.
It's out December twenty fifth. We talked to him next Merry.

Speaker 6 (25:10):
Christmas from now mister Ran in the morning show Mercedes
Benz Interview Lounge show.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
What's going on this time of year? We have our friends,
we have our family, we have travel, we have the food,
we have cocktails. We also have movies. You know, this
is the time of year when all the big ones
roll out, right, So there's a list, isn't there. Isn't
there a master list of all the films that are
coming out?

Speaker 2 (25:35):
I think, yeah, well, do you know starting before Thanksgiving
is when like they roll out all the big ones
for the holidays, and then you know, we've already had
the Wickeds of the World and like you know, mulwan
Iu and all that stuff, right, and then next year
there's another list. But this is the time when the
you know, the big holiday. But what is it called?
Like the push? The holiday push?

Speaker 1 (25:53):
Here we go. Yeah, there are many Christmases I recall,
you know, we'll we'll do our thing and okay, let's
get out.

Speaker 11 (25:59):
We're going.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
We're gonna go watch a film and that those are
my favorite favorite moments. I love those. Thanksgiving and Christmas. Well,
one of the films that everyone is talking about is
a complete unknown. It's coming out Christmas Day of course,
all about Bob Dylan starring Timothy shallow May. We're gonna
talk to him in just a moment about this character,
Bob Dylan.

Speaker 3 (26:17):
How do you do that?

Speaker 1 (26:19):
I mean, I feel like such an intelliged weep seeing
him do this film is wow. Okay, yeah, this this
actor is fantastic and so many great things that we love.

Speaker 2 (26:29):
Just with a name Timothy Shallomy. He had to be famous,
Like that's just a famous name, you know, it really
just is Timothy Shallamy.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
Bob Dylan wasn't Like I didn't. It's not like a
name that should be famous. No, wait is it? Timothy? Timothy?
Is that you are? You eavedropping on our conversation.

Speaker 13 (26:47):
I'm here, can they see me?

Speaker 3 (26:48):
We can see you.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
We can see you, so stay dressed if you will.

Speaker 13 (26:53):
Fantastic. Nice, nice to see you, guys.

Speaker 3 (26:55):
Good to see you.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
I know you're in London, but we're in New York.

Speaker 19 (26:59):
You.

Speaker 1 (26:59):
How did you live in New York earlier in your life?

Speaker 10 (27:02):
Me?

Speaker 8 (27:02):
Man, I grew up listening to you. I grew up
listening on the way Elvis Durant in the z morning Zoomy.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
I don't know if I'm supposed to say that.

Speaker 8 (27:09):
Is it the same?

Speaker 13 (27:10):
Is it the same?

Speaker 18 (27:11):
Uh?

Speaker 13 (27:12):
Title?

Speaker 1 (27:12):
We got rid of the zoo party?

Speaker 13 (27:15):
Well, listen what I honor to be on here?

Speaker 8 (27:17):
Listen at seven twenty if I'm correct, at seven twenty
am sharp.

Speaker 13 (27:21):
You used to do the prank calls. My dad and
I would.

Speaker 8 (27:23):
Listen, But sometimes you guys veer into quote unquote vulgar territories.
When my dad would say, you know something, I couldn't
listen to it.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
Oh really Yeah. It's kind of funny because a lot
kids they will purposefully stay away from their parents during
those they call them phone taps, and they were very
Now we're vulgar all four hours.

Speaker 13 (27:40):
We don't just do it so perfect perfect.

Speaker 3 (27:44):
Let's get in to it.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
Go ahead, No, I don't want to get into it.
You what we're going to say?

Speaker 13 (27:49):
Oh you will?

Speaker 3 (27:50):
You see, we just had to push the button.

Speaker 13 (27:53):
You know, we're just we're just pushing the edge.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
I'm sure we are.

Speaker 13 (27:59):
Rights thinks it ever we want?

Speaker 8 (28:00):
Right?

Speaker 4 (28:00):
No, no, you can't.

Speaker 13 (28:04):
Serious.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
By the way, we just had to push the dump button.

Speaker 13 (28:08):
We're back in that vulgar church. Yeah, okay, you know
we're gonna we're gonna pull it back.

Speaker 11 (28:13):
Pg.

Speaker 13 (28:13):
Thirteen.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
All right, let's let's get into it. I first of all,
we were so lucky to see a complete unknown, which
is out Christmas Day, by the way, and to watch
you do what you do is pretty amazing. I don't
think he'll ever be as amazed as we are watching
any human being be able to pull off what you
did with this Bob Dylan character. With Bob Dylan, I

(28:37):
appreciate it.

Speaker 19 (28:38):
Well.

Speaker 8 (28:38):
I have five and a half years to work on
this and uh uh, you know I was supposed to
shoot it four years ago, then the pandemic hid. Then
I was supposed to shoot it a year and a
half ago when the actors strike hit. So I just
had a lot of time to sit with this material,
a lot of time to play the guitar, play the harmonica,
bother everyone in my life with my Bob Dylan singing.
But I think that I think the work was worth in.
Bob Dylan, as you I'm sure known many of your listeners,

(29:00):
is a is a Titanic artist. He's one of the
most influential artists in American history. So I want to
do justice to this guy. And I'm prideful about the
character because when you think about Elvis Presley or Mick Jagger,
Paul McCartney or John Lennard, these kind of titans of
the of the sixties, they're not elusive figures in the
sense that we know what there, we know what their
faces look like, we know what their interviews look like.

Speaker 13 (29:20):
But Bob Dylan is such a mysterious figure.

Speaker 8 (29:21):
I think to my generation, you know, a lot of
people know the name is iconic, but they don't necessarily
know the face, they don't necessarily know the music.

Speaker 13 (29:28):
So I want like a humble bridge to this period
and to this to this music.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
So you must be a somewhat grateful that you had
writer strikes and pandemics. It gave you longer to learn
how to finger pick your guitar, and play harmonica and
say and sound like Bob Dylan.

Speaker 13 (29:46):
I mean, listen, the time was an absolute blessing.

Speaker 8 (29:48):
I'm not going to say the pandemic was a blessing
for my role, because I think a lot of people
would go, wait a second, this kid is out.

Speaker 13 (29:55):
Of his mind.

Speaker 8 (29:55):
That was the worst time in our in our modern history.
But you know, so yeah, anyway, you know, yeah, it
gave me. It just gave me a ton of time.
I'll never get this much time to work on a
role ever again, you know, five and a half years.
But this, this artist is worth it. This man is
worth it, and we wanted to do him justice and

(30:17):
also do justice to the fans of Bob Dylan's work.
That wouldn't feel like we committed an act of blasphemy.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
You know, Yeah, what goes into something like that when
you're actually playing a real life character, not just you know,
like you know, a you know character that's made up,
Like how much preparation do you do and what's the
first thing that you dive into to prepare?

Speaker 13 (30:36):
Well, the preparation was endless.

Speaker 15 (30:38):
You know.

Speaker 8 (30:38):
Bob Dylan, as I'm sure you guys will know, is
a peculiar fellow and his behaviors and his mannerisms, and
he's he's an inward guy.

Speaker 13 (30:47):
He's mysterious.

Speaker 8 (30:47):
That's why I was, you know, bringing up these other
names before that were sort of in my worldview, more
forward facing entertainers.

Speaker 13 (30:53):
Bob was really a lyricist.

Speaker 8 (30:54):
He was a he's a Pulitzer Prize winning lyricist and
thinker and writer and poet. Really, so there's the aspect
of getting the behaviors down, how he carried himself, how
he would carry himself in situations with the women in
his life, how he carried himself with the press, studying
all the footage that was available. Most importantly was the music,
getting the music down, But that was almost the easiest
part in the sense that I.

Speaker 1 (31:13):
Love this music.

Speaker 13 (31:15):
It was a privilege and a joy to get to
work on this.

Speaker 8 (31:18):
And lastly, is all the all the all the excavating
of stones that you know, when you get to act
at this level you have to do, like retracing his
footsteps through Madison, Wisconsin and Chicago, going to Minnesota where
he was born, and hibbing and then Duluth and spending
time in Minneapolis where he was in college for a
little bit, spending time in an area called dinky Town
in Minneapolis. Hey, man, that's just what it's called. Man,

(31:43):
that's just don't don't hit that swear button. Neverthe it
just said. It just sounds a little importantly. It just
sounds a little, you know, a little dinky town. But
that's where he discovered folk music, you know. And so
I tried to do everything, but it was easy. This
didn't become work. At some point, I, like I said,
I love this artist and it's well worth it, you know.
I think we did a great job at the movie

(32:04):
spotlighting this great artist in this great period in American history.

Speaker 13 (32:07):
No matter how boring that sounds. People the nineteen sixties,
you know, this was the time. Man, this was like.

Speaker 8 (32:13):
And I'm a child of hip hop. I grew up
on Elvis Durant and a z Morning Zoo baby.

Speaker 5 (32:18):
You know that's me.

Speaker 3 (32:20):
I'm the king of hip hop, very strat, very strue,
well not not, you know.

Speaker 13 (32:27):
I guess I look at getting my fixed. I would
I would scroll down to ninety seven point one in
all honesty.

Speaker 5 (32:30):
But.

Speaker 3 (32:32):
You know, but I hit the dumb button.

Speaker 13 (32:36):
I hit the dumb button right now. But Belvis, I
grew up with what was on the menu. Musically.

Speaker 8 (32:39):
You know, I didn't listen to the sixties stuff because
my mom listened to show tunes and my dad listened
to old French classics.

Speaker 13 (32:44):
So I had a weird musical upbringing, you know.

Speaker 8 (32:47):
So now I got to dad dive into this music,
and Bob Dylan was my gateway into you know, stuff
that's more obvious than it sounds, like the Beatles or
the Rolling Stones, or the Kinks or Jimmy Hendrix.

Speaker 13 (32:58):
You know, Jimmy Hendricks was a massive of Bob. So
this was this was the ultimate education.

Speaker 5 (33:03):
You know.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
Timothy Shallomey. Of course, the movie A Complete Unknown, all
about Bob Dylan, and it's out December twenty fifth. He's
alive right now, saying what he wants to say, obviously
from London. Yes, Gandhi, So.

Speaker 4 (33:18):
You know, you were with this for five and a
half years. You're studying somebody else. And I heard that
when you do these roles, part of it always lives
with you even after you're done. Which parts have stuck
with you?

Speaker 15 (33:29):
I don't know.

Speaker 8 (33:30):
I feel like the whole experience stoke with me. There's
a part in a Bob Dylan documentary called don't look back.
At the end, he's just played for the Queen of
England and the Beatles and has sold out sold out
Royal Albert Hall, and then he's kind of like smoking
a cigarette. He turns to his friends and he goes,
I feel like I just went through a thing, man,
And that's like, that's the best description of how I
can how it can expect. I really feel like I

(33:50):
went through a thing. I've never turned my phone off
for the entirety of a shoot, you know, I've never
I've never sank into something. I don't say it pretentiously.
I don't say method acting blah blah blah. I'm not
saying anything. I'm just saying I had two and a
half three months of my life to play this guy.
I never get to play him again. So I just
went as hard as possible. I went as fuck.

Speaker 13 (34:18):
But no, I just you know, it was transformative experience.

Speaker 15 (34:23):
Man.

Speaker 13 (34:23):
I don't know what I took him. I don't think
I talked like him anymore. You know.

Speaker 1 (34:27):
Yeah, I can't see you walking into the Starbuck.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
You got a good dealing man.

Speaker 18 (34:34):
It went hard.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
I you're good friends with Austin Butler, right, So I
know Austin Butler was saying how when he finished doing Elvis,
it was very hard to get out of that character.
So it wasn't as hard for you as it was
for him.

Speaker 8 (34:47):
I guess maybe our processes are different. Austin is absolutely
brilliant in Elvis and one of my favorite things. And
Austin is such a lovely guy, so I don't think
he'd ever really be confrontational in him back. I remember
talk about with him once and he's like, listen, man,
Like he's like, I know, I don't think you would
mind me saying that I know Elvis in and out,
like you don't think if I really wanted to sound

(35:09):
like Elvis, I could sound like Elvis. This point being
that you know, maybe some some aspects had remained with him,
but like if he was going full Elvis like, we
would really know you know what I mean?

Speaker 13 (35:21):
That was that wasn't as funny as you guys.

Speaker 3 (35:23):
As it was to make.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
But no, no, I mean we're hanging on every single
word to me Elvis Elvis.

Speaker 13 (35:31):
I love you, man, and we love you.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
I can't wait till you're here live in the studios
so we can spank your ass for saying the F.

Speaker 13 (35:37):
Word, by the way, clarify which F word?

Speaker 1 (35:43):
There are so many cheers from all right, So I'm
just loving how and we're now finding out preparing for
a Klean unknown and Bob Dylan that this wasn't an
overnight prep. I mean, you'd rolled out of Dune, you'd
rolled out of Wonka and amazing, which is all amazing,
But to see you picking that guitar and singing, You're
singing live to a camera, right, and you're sounding like

(36:05):
this guy, I mean amazing. I mean, do you ever
watch any of your work and go, God, I'm efin fantastic?

Speaker 13 (36:12):
No, no, no, well I appreciate it.

Speaker 8 (36:14):
But this, if you want to talk about disconnect from
something like Dune, is so above my pay grade in
the sense that it's it's so meticulously well directed, it's
it's operating on a level cinematography wise and special effects wise,
that what I can watch that and really disconnect from
the experience because it's so beyond me in a sense,
this Bob Dylan movie. I was so well researched and

(36:37):
so well versed and so passionate about the material that
whatever experience I had doing it, I love.

Speaker 13 (36:43):
The finished product.

Speaker 8 (36:44):
And I'm super proud of it, but it'll never compare
to what I went through actually shooting it. You know,
the first time I saw it, I had to realize
it was a movie, and I love it, but I
feel like I went through a like a biblical passage
or something. I swear I'm really not trying to use
I'm not trying to sound pretentious, and I'm not trying
to be like one of these actors who puffs up
their own work, you know, because I haven't talked about

(37:05):
and I love everything I've been in, but this was
the thing I spent five and a half years working on.
So honestly, when I watched this, the one time i've
watched this, can only saw one final cut. I honestly
still just I honestly just still see moments that I
wish I could tinker with, and uh, because I would.
This da Pennybaker documentary, Man, it's one of the best
music documentaries ever. If you love music documentaries.

Speaker 13 (37:26):
Don't look back. It's sort of like the OG rock
and Roll documentary.

Speaker 5 (37:32):
You know.

Speaker 8 (37:32):
I just see moments in our movie that line up
with that, and it makes me very excited. And then
I see moments where it doesn't line up, and I
wish I could tinker with things still, you know, but.

Speaker 1 (37:41):
Well it's done. Sorry, no tinkering, no tin going back
to a dinky town.

Speaker 5 (37:50):
Now.

Speaker 1 (37:50):
Look, thank you so much for spending time with us,
and I think you've having me on. It's so important
that people understand all the different genres of music that
have made us call to where we are now. With
the music we'll listen to today, folk music is sort
of the genres is kind of kicked to the side
that people of today don't really understand. And I think

(38:10):
this film is going to help that. And the film
makes New York City look kick ass beautiful. I think
that's another great thing about this film. New York City
seems to be one of the stars of the show
and I love it. I think it's great. So what
do you do now?

Speaker 13 (38:25):
I mean, what was it like?

Speaker 1 (38:26):
Because we only have like a minute left with you?
What is it like now? Now that film's in the cans.
There's nothing you can do to change anything. Is it
all what you're doing today with us? Is it all
just on the road talking about But.

Speaker 8 (38:36):
This is seriously, it's an honor and it's a joy
to get to talk to you. And also I wanted,
like I said, I want to be a bridge to
this folk music. You know, folk music is a man
and a woman with a guitar. And what Bob Dylan
did in the sixties, which seems trivial now, is he
took old Irish ballads, he took old forms of songwriter
and he made them personalized. And you could draw a
line to all personalized music, from Lona Delray to hip

(38:57):
hop to this moment in the sixties, no matter how
grand that sounds. And it seems trivial now to put
music in the I am form, that's to say I
am going through this, or this person broke my heart,
or this is my point of view on this. But
Bob sort of had the advant garde instinct to do that,
you know. So this is the part of the process
I'm at in this movie now. I'm putting it out.

(39:17):
But I love talking to you and I love hitting
the streets. In lack of a better sense to talk
about this because I'm not pushing some corporate selling point.
I'm not pushing some corporate bottom line. This is like,
this is this is the real deal. This is Bob Dylan,
This is the music of the sixties, and like I
started the interview with, you know, it's sort of an
untapped period. It's sort of an untapped period. And seeing

(39:41):
artists like McGee explode now there is an ear for
quote unquote like authentic music. You know, stuff that's not
hyper edited and hyper process. People want to hear real stuff.
You know, that's my opinion. So anyway, thank you for
letting me come on a big platform like this talking
about this film.

Speaker 13 (40:00):
It's an honor to talk to.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
All of you. Well, honor to speak with you. Timothy
shallow May. Of course when you're in New York City,
we do want you to come take pay a visit.
And as we leave you, I know you have to roll.
We're gonna we're gonna actually gonna play like a rolling stone.
So everyone your version you.

Speaker 13 (40:15):
This is like a rolling stone written by Bob Dylan.

Speaker 1 (40:19):
There you go, Timothy Shaalamey. Thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (40:21):
You have a great day.

Speaker 20 (40:22):
Thank you so much, great speaking to you. Absolutely wow,
listen to this. It sounds so good, right, wow, Timothy
shallow May. That's him singing, by the way, it's incredible

(40:44):
and playing harmonica. Plays a harmonica. What I mean Hello,
what a what a great morning. I wish she didn't
say F twice the F work.

Speaker 2 (40:53):
I wish said it three times.

Speaker 1 (40:54):
Well, here's what we're doing. We do know that we
have the unedited version in the back, the computer that
captures it without the dump button thing, because when he
said F we had to dump it.

Speaker 8 (41:05):
Right.

Speaker 1 (41:06):
What can we get rid of this stupid law?

Speaker 2 (41:10):
Yes, nice, let's do it anyway.

Speaker 1 (41:12):
We're gonna find that. As soon as we have it,
we're gonna post it so you can listen to all
of it.

Speaker 2 (41:16):
But my favorite is that you told him, you know,
after he said it the first time, he thought it
was okay to say it, we told him no, so
then he was needed to make sure he said it again.
I love him. He was comfortable, Yes, he was very comfortab.

Speaker 1 (41:28):
Anyway, So Timothy challomade the movie, of Course, A Complete Unknown.
It's out December twenty fifth. They call that Christmas Day.
We keep in mind. Uh like a Rolling Stone is
one of the biggest rock songs of all time. Yeah,
so I hit it, I pushed play and we're listening
to it here in the studio. Nate says, Wow, that's a.

Speaker 3 (41:48):
Pretty good song.

Speaker 8 (41:50):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (41:53):
It's like one of the biggest songs of all time.

Speaker 1 (41:55):
That's it's kind of hold on him, kind of catching.

Speaker 13 (42:00):
I'm aware of.

Speaker 3 (42:00):
The history of Bob dyling in like a rolling Stone.

Speaker 13 (42:03):
That'd being said. His version is great and I could
actually hear that being play.

Speaker 3 (42:09):
Parking Space.

Speaker 1 (42:10):
We just play. Yeah, it's okay, it's it's a song, right,
this song, it's I think there's something.

Speaker 3 (42:16):
He could be a hit.

Speaker 1 (42:19):
Anyway.

Speaker 2 (42:19):
So, uh, that was awesome, you know.

Speaker 1 (42:22):
And at the end of the day, what an actor.
Look at everything Timothy shallowmy has been in. Oh yeah,
and I mean in these roles he just kind of
he doesn't kind of he just tremendously owns them. What
do you think?

Speaker 4 (42:32):
I thought he was awesome and he's somebody that I
would love to come into the studio because he has
really good energy.

Speaker 2 (42:37):
Yeah what do you Oh, yeah, same thing. I wish
he would come up here, would be awesome.

Speaker 1 (42:41):
There you go, and he's only twenty eight and he's
done all that scary scary. I hope you get some
more done before you're twenty eight.

Speaker 2 (42:49):
A lot of people say, my oldest looks like him.
Oh really, that's why I can't say he's hot. I
can only say, you know what he does? They do
look a lot like he's a nice boy.

Speaker 1 (42:57):
He looks like nice young man. All right, that was great,
What a great moment on our show. We do have
a free money phone tap worth one thousand dollars. Timothy
Schellle may grow up listening to phone taps.

Speaker 2 (43:07):
Yeah, Ara, it's and his song, so think about it,
even though it's not really his song. Technically, his song
just got paid played on the radio station that he
grew up listening to.

Speaker 1 (43:18):
Like, that's alway should have said that, Yeah, can you
get back on the phone. Yeah, all right, your one
thousand dollars free money phone tap is on the way.
Let's get into the three things if you want, all right,
the three things we need to know from Gandhi? All right, Gandhi,
what's going on?

Speaker 4 (43:30):
Pope Francis says there were two attempts on his life
during a twenty twenty one trip to Iraq and his
upcoming autobiography Hope. He writes that two suicide bombers, one
in a van, were on the way to Masoul to
attack during his visit. The attackers were intercepted and taken
out by Iraqi security forces. Pope Francis' visit to Iraq
was the first by a pontiff. Luiga Mangioni is facing

(43:53):
murder and terrorism charges in the killing of United Healthcare
CEO Brian Thompson. Mangioni is accused of killing him as
we know, into Manhattan Street earlier this month. The Manhattan
District Attorney's office announced Tuesday that Mangioni is charged with
one count of first degree murder in furtherance of terrorism
and two counts of second degree murder, including one as
an act of terrorism. District Attorney Alvin Bragg said that

(44:15):
the killing was intended to evoke terror. Mangioni, who is
in custody in Pennsylvania, faces life in prison if convicted.
And finally, the two NASA astronauts who have been stuck
on the International Space Station will have to stay there
through March. Sdey Williams and Bush Wilmore flew to the
ISS on the Boeing Starliner's shaky first test flight in June.

(44:37):
The two intended to stay in space for just a
week before returning, but it's going to end up being
closer to nine months. Whoa I can't even imagine what
that does to you and your body, my mental health.
NASA has repeatedly pushed back the launch of a SpaceX
craft that will be used to bring them home. On Tuesday,
officials said that the launch will be no earlier than
the end of March to allow more time to complete

(44:57):
processing on the spacecraft.

Speaker 2 (45:00):
And those are your three things.

Speaker 1 (45:01):
Thank you guy.

Speaker 7 (45:04):
Another free money phone tap coming up next?

Speaker 8 (45:07):
What is it?

Speaker 18 (45:08):

(45:49):

Speaker 1 (45:55):
Okay, Well, what we're doing is it's kind of funny.

Speaker 3 (45:57):
We're in there.

Speaker 1 (45:58):
We're trading batteries.

Speaker 2 (46:02):
And let me tell you, yesterday I brought home a
box a double A because I found one. And I
have never seen my husband so excited about something I
brought home from work. He's like, I was going to
ask you if dourrist Cell was going to send us anything.
I said, well, hear you, honey, Merry Christmas.

Speaker 1 (46:17):
I'll tell you what. It's Christmas year round thanks to Durassel.
I mean, you're remote needed Dursel. Speaking of remote to me,
I give you a myth, the myth smacking your remote
will wake up your batteries. Dare I tell you that's
not true. Smacking your remote does not provide more battery life.

Speaker 2 (46:39):
Does that work for my printer at least?

Speaker 8 (46:40):
No?

Speaker 1 (46:41):
No, no, okay, it's like people think it's like if
battery shake it, it wakes up the energy.

Speaker 3 (46:45):
No.

Speaker 1 (46:46):
Dura Cell. By the way I did my homework, Russel
is the only battery brand they have power boost ingredients
in there. It's a unique blend of nickel and lithium.
What's something you don't want to mix in your cocktail.
By the way, just let the batteries to sell. Let
your batteries hold the nickel and lithium. So this holiday,
make sure you add Durussel to your cart. Keep in
mind a gift you give that requires batteries. If it's

(47:08):
given without batteries, it's not complete. Always have power boost
ingredients of nickel and lithium in your in your They
don't even take that much from your little Dori cell
battery drawer. Minds full my drawer. I love Duraseel and
without durri cel year round, our lives would just fail.

(47:31):
So therefore dourrisl. Make sure you just go get some today.
Next time you go to the store to get stump
stuff to eat whatever, get to Durasel all right, and
thanks to them, you're winning one thousand dollars with a
free money phone tap. We call a one hundred one
eight hundred and two four two zero one hundred Tony answer.

Speaker 7 (47:45):
The phone, Elvis Duran, the Elvis Duran phone.

Speaker 1 (47:48):
Tap, and today it's from Garrett. Yes, what's it all about?

Speaker 3 (47:52):
Garrett Kristen's going to play a phone tap on her husband, Tony. Now,
Tony's that guy on the block who loves to deck
out his house for the holidays with lights, blow up
things on in the front lawn, all over the house,
even in the backyard. So I'm going to start the
call to Tony as his brand new neighbor that lives
right behind him, that he hasn't met yet, let him
know I have a little issue with his holiday decor

(48:14):
around his house.

Speaker 1 (48:15):
Oh good, the new neighbor chiming in, Yes, the holiday decorations.
Let's listen in to Garrett tom tap.

Speaker 15 (48:20):

name is George Feeney. I live right behind you. I
just moved in about three weeks ago. We haven't met yet,
so George, I know this is not the best way
to meet, but I'm having a little issue and wondering
if you could help me out with this.

Speaker 5 (48:38):
Yeah, okay, go ahead. Shoot.

Speaker 3 (48:39):
I noticed about three days ago your Christmas stuff went
up in your front and even backyard too. But why
have stuff in the backyard. It's just a little bit
much coming into my house and it's always blinking and
boom boom boom and I'm trying to sleep and it's like.

Speaker 10 (48:55):
Boom boom, and I understand, but you know yet to
the stand too.

Speaker 13 (48:59):
Is the season?

Speaker 3 (49:00):
Can you just maybe tone down the lights or take
down a few in the backyard and just I know.

Speaker 10 (49:04):
You knew and everything, but I ask anybody in the neighborhood.
Every single year, people come from all over. I am like,
you know, famous, a little bit over in the area
for this. Okay, you know I want awards. Every year
I get a brize. Okay, what I do some lines
or whatever. And and you know, I'm very sorry. You
can't sleep a put a mask over your face or
whatever your eyes, cover your eyes somehow. But the lights

(49:26):
are not going off. Okay.

Speaker 3 (49:27):
I was afraid that we're going down this route. This morning.
I went to your house and I took your blow up, Santa.
I took your blow up inflatable Sanna, and.

Speaker 10 (49:38):
Better not have you better not have?

Speaker 3 (49:40):

That better be back where you found it.

Speaker 19 (49:52):

Speaker 3 (49:53):

found it, exact place once once the lights get turned off.

Speaker 19 (49:59):

Speaker 3 (50:06):

Speaker 19 (50:08):
Is a family?

Speaker 5 (50:09):
You want to put my tense?

Speaker 10 (50:12):
What that means to me?

Speaker 3 (50:13):
You're giving your kids a blow up? Sanna?

Speaker 19 (50:15):
Yes, I am okay. If it is any of your business, all.

Speaker 5 (50:19):

We'll have some coffee or maybe some tea. Seem like
a tea guy. We'll talk about this.

Speaker 5 (50:33):
How about that?

Speaker 3 (50:34):
For I will deflate Santa right now. I will deflate
him and you will not be able to blow him
up again.

Speaker 19 (50:43):
I will go Santa, I will cut him, cut him,

Speaker 3 (50:50):

What we do well, well, we're just you know what
I'm saying. There's so much turmoil, there's so much rushing
to and fro and buying gifts and getting things done
for the end of the year. And then meanwhile, it's

(56:18):
cold and we want to we want to be on
a cruise. Who doesn't. At this point, it's time to
start planning for the new year. It's time to start
planning for the end of this year. If you can,
let's start thinking about where we need to be next
to escape. That's why hit the music scary. That's why

(56:40):
n CL Norwegian Cruise Line invites you to hit the
Caribbean and the Bahamas. You know, we love we love cruising.

Speaker 21 (57:03):
Ship, making cocktails on a ship in the Caribbean. Best

the best job ever. And of course you always are
the best that NCL gives us. Every every couple of
months they fly you into New York to make cocktails
for us. Thank you, and CL we appreciate that.

Speaker 3 (57:24):
Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 1 (57:25):
So the reason we're talking about this today is, I mean,
with twenty degree temperatures hitting in New York this weekend.

Speaker 2 (57:31):
Like twenty three degrees or something this weekend, Oh.

Speaker 1 (57:34):
You can heat it up by running to the computer,

Speaker 1 (58:03):
Do that we drink responsibly. We're representing NCO.

Speaker 15 (58:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (58:10):
The thought of hopping on, of course, one of the best,
most beautiful ships in the world and just rolling just
a few hours off the coast of the United States.
You're in you're in paradise the Caribbean. Let's talk about Miami.
You start there, you can go to the Dominican Republic St.
Thomas and the Virgin Islands Tortola and the British Virgin
Islands of course their own island. Great stirrup k and

(58:34):
then back to Miami.

Speaker 3 (58:35):
How about that.

Speaker 1 (58:35):
Let's make that. Okay, this is your dream, your fantasy.
Cruise on n CL on the beautiful ship. You hop
on board, you're in Miami, you go to Dominican Republic,
La La Da Da playing music, and then and then
oh okay, pack up, go to sleep. We're gonna wake
up in the Virgin Islands in Saint Thomas. Beautiful. You
know what's great about Saint Thomas. You forget you're you're

(58:57):
actually in the United States, but you don't want to.
You don't remember that. You to think I'm away. Then
you go to Tortola in the British Version Islands. Then
you hop back on the ship and you're in great
to drump kate their own island, the Bahamas, and then
back to Miami. That's the saddest part. He is going
back to Miami.

Speaker 4 (59:16):
So glorious, scary?

Speaker 3 (59:18):
Aren't you going to the Bahamas on n CL soon?

Speaker 17 (59:20):
Yeah, I'm gonna be leaving out of San Juan on
Norwegian Viva on the twenty ninth, and then then to
escape this cold. So we're gonna go to I think
Tortola's on the list, Barbados.

Speaker 2 (59:29):
And a bunch of other You're doing New Year's on
the ship.

Speaker 13 (59:32):
Yeah, I'll be New Years.

Speaker 1 (59:33):
I'll be on the ship.

Speaker 2 (59:34):
I did New Year's on Norwegian ships for like probably
five years straight, the best time ever. So many parties
going on the balloon drop they do. You're gonna have
so much fun, scam so jealous every.

Speaker 1 (59:45):
Morning, wait to do a balloon drop. What about all
the see the wildlife, and it's in the ship making
sure we're keeping well.

Speaker 14 (59:57):
This is why Scary is pushing off his weight loss
routine until the fifth or sixth I was wondering, because
he's going to be drinking more and eating more on board.

Speaker 2 (01:00:06):
Yeah, he's going to boke up, yeah to cut.

Speaker 8 (01:00:12):
Well.

Speaker 1 (01:00:12):
As you know at Norwegian, it's all about getting more
at sea. That's why Gabe is here to give us
more cocktails on the on the show. All right, So okay,
so what cocktails from n c L are you bringing us.

Speaker 21 (01:00:23):
To So I decided to make two and start with
the tropical tequila one with strawberries, fresh lime, a gave.

Speaker 1 (01:00:31):
You can go around with that. You feel like you're
in a cruise and uh, a cruise.

Speaker 15 (01:00:36):
Let's do it.

Speaker 21 (01:00:36):
So, you know, just first strawberries with I pre read them,
fresh lime, juice, fresh agave, which is what tequila comes from.
And uh and yeah, and that's pretty much it. You know, freshness,
you know, the good thing by n CL they always
get like fresh fresh lime, fresh ingredients.

Speaker 15 (01:00:55):
It makes the Greek way better.

Speaker 1 (01:00:57):
Oh there's that sound. There's that sounds the Caribbeans sound
right there, Shake it up, Shake it up, Gabe, let's go,
let's go.

Speaker 21 (01:01:05):
And uh, you know, the margarita can go wrong with
the margarita, especially at the beginning.

Speaker 1 (01:01:09):
Oh, I can be honest. I've gone wrong in a
margarita many times. All right, So what's the name of
this one? So this one is called it's just very
simple and okay, okay, let's keep it simple, very simple.
I don't want to think. Norwegian do all the thinking
for me exactly. All right, this is nice. Now, if

(01:01:30):
you go to n CL dot com right now, you're
going to see a lot of a lot of choices
you can make to hit the Caribbean.

Speaker 2 (01:01:36):
I love the sound of ice too.

Speaker 4 (01:01:39):
I don't want to distract him too much while he's
making the drinks. But Gabe also does a lot of
really cool stuff with conserving the ingredients, and we're using
things so that there's not a ton of waste.

Speaker 1 (01:01:48):
Right yeah, yeah, Well, we love we love doing this
program with Norwegian.

Speaker 21 (01:01:52):
And we start seeing that way they cut the strawberries,
they cut the top hoop and they throw them in
the garbage. So we're like, why do you know you
can still utilize those ingredients? So we we did the
tops of the strawberries. They left over oranges and we
make zeus. There's a lot of.

Speaker 1 (01:02:10):
Flavor you're throwing away, feo.

Speaker 4 (01:02:13):
Away and well all the all the.

Speaker 1 (01:02:15):
Incredible mixologists on n CL, they know this trip, you know,
keep an eye on it.

Speaker 21 (01:02:19):
Yeah, amazing, Bartend, there's an NCL amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:02:22):
So just think about maybe, if not maybe in South Florida,
but anywhere else in this country of ours. Wouldn't it
be great just to trade the snow for the sand?

Speaker 4 (01:02:30):
Yes, justin we go cool, let's go.

Speaker 13 (01:02:33):
Yeah, Sunday and Monday in the Northeast.

Speaker 17 (01:02:36):
It's gonna be a high twenty four.

Speaker 1 (01:02:41):
And the thing n CL is really really teaching all
of us in the NCAL family this year especially, is
the more you can get in the value you get.
I mean, it's more of everything, right, unlimited like unlimited,
open bar, Wi Fi, the short excursion credits. On top
of that, there's oh there's premium drinks as you can hear.

Speaker 3 (01:03:02):
Oh is this a cocktail?

Speaker 1 (01:03:03):
We interrupt this MCAL conversation for a cocktail. Oh, this
is nice, this is beautifuler smells so good.

Speaker 21 (01:03:10):
This is the fresh strawberry I got strawberry, I goby,
lime juice and tequila, just you know, refreshing.

Speaker 1 (01:03:16):
Oh, can you go grab my speedo?

Speaker 14 (01:03:20):
Why is it when I try to make it drink
at home it tastes like garbage because you do what
you're doing.

Speaker 1 (01:03:26):
But yeah, seriously, everything before I didn't.

Speaker 3 (01:03:30):
Seriously, I would love to be able to make this
a home.

Speaker 1 (01:03:32):
Oh this is so good.

Speaker 3 (01:03:34):
You're the master of your craft.

Speaker 1 (01:03:35):
Thank you, guys.

Speaker 21 (01:03:36):
So last cocktail I'm going to make it for you, guys,
is the most tropical one. It's called the pain Killer.
We can use one of us, okay, because we all
have a lot of pain in this round. They call
it that because it was made in the British Islands
and the British Islands and uh, it's just fresh coconut, pineapple,
orange juice and dark rooms.

Speaker 1 (01:03:53):
Okay, so it's perfect for a cruise. So technically, if
you drink something called the pain Killer, you'll open your
eyes in Nate will be gone. Hey, you got a
phone call. Let's talk to Sandy. Hi, Sandy, Sandy, are
you there? Sandy?

Speaker 5 (01:04:12):
Hello?

Speaker 1 (01:04:13):
Okay, Sandy's not there. Can you get Sandy? Find out
what Sandy's problem is? Is she drinking the painkiller already, you.

Speaker 4 (01:04:21):
Her stirring in the back.

Speaker 1 (01:04:23):
I'm gonna I was gonna take care of Sandy, not anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:04:29):
Carpet drinks is getting to him.

Speaker 13 (01:04:30):
Here he goes, I don't know what happened.

Speaker 10 (01:04:32):
More.

Speaker 1 (01:04:36):
I feel bad for Sandy. She's about to get a
free cruise and.

Speaker 3 (01:04:41):
Sandy asps up.

Speaker 2 (01:04:43):
Ny, you got two steps, Nate hits me.

Speaker 3 (01:04:46):
You know what, Nate, you have.

Speaker 1 (01:04:48):
One assignment is to keep get Sandy back on the phone.

Speaker 13 (01:04:51):
Job it was.

Speaker 1 (01:04:59):
Okay, hold on, hear me, hear me out Norwegian's more
at c let me. I did my homework. You get
over two thousand dollars in value price right now. It's
the lowest they'll go for the Caribbean. You book your cruise,
They're saying. And I don't know if nor Reegion wants
you to tell you this, but I'm gonna tell you anyway.
You need to book it. Book your Caribbean trip today,

(01:05:20):
really soon. Oh yeah, before the end of the year.
Book your early twenty twenty five Caribbean cruise before the
end of the year. Okay, because the prices are at
the lowest they may not have want me to tell
you that, but I'm telling you anyway, anyway, they hate
me anyway, Norwegian? Do they drink all their booze?

Speaker 11 (01:05:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:05:37):
Anyway, How's how's this so good?

Speaker 13 (01:05:40):
This is rious?

Speaker 2 (01:05:42):
Nate slowed down, man, dudey drank the whole thing over
it and you don't got anything in your belly. We
didn't need anything yet. Oh jeez, we had our arm.

Speaker 5 (01:05:50):
Fine.

Speaker 1 (01:05:51):
I got Sandy, Sandy, Sandy, are you there? Is there
a problem?

Speaker 5 (01:05:56):
I don't know what happened to my phone?

Speaker 1 (01:05:57):
Okay, well, Sandy, you're on now. That's all you're on. Now,
that's all that matters. How are you?

Speaker 5 (01:06:04):
I'm so good. I'm so excited to talk to you guys.

Speaker 2 (01:06:07):
I love you guys so much.

Speaker 1 (01:06:08):
Where are you calling from? You're in Pennsylvania somewhere it's cold.

Speaker 2 (01:06:11):
I'm in Pennsylvania.

Speaker 3 (01:06:13):
I'm about thirty miles from Penncie, in a little town
called Mcdaytown.

Speaker 4 (01:06:17):
Okay, sounds cold.

Speaker 1 (01:06:19):
Mcveightown. Yeah, he's been there. Okay, well, okay, I've heard
of get out of Mcveightown.

Speaker 15 (01:06:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:06:26):
God, Now, Sandy, you've never been on the Norwegian Cruise
Line Caribbean Cruise ever and.

Speaker 16 (01:06:33):
Never ever ever?

Speaker 8 (01:06:35):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:06:36):
Well, well sucks you.

Speaker 1 (01:06:41):
Wow, Nate, really, Daniel, you're in charge of me.

Speaker 2 (01:06:46):
I'm in charge of no.

Speaker 15 (01:06:47):
I am not.

Speaker 2 (01:06:47):
I have two kids on my own.

Speaker 4 (01:06:49):
He needs a walk.

Speaker 1 (01:06:49):
Okay. So I don't know if you've been to n
CL dot com. You need to go soon because you
need to choose which Caribbean cruise you wish to take.

Speaker 2 (01:06:56):
There's so many too. It's you know, I know, I
love to like say you don't have a lot of
time on your hands, vacation time. You can take like
a three or four day cruise.

Speaker 1 (01:07:04):
By the way, I just gave her a cruise.

Speaker 2 (01:07:05):
I know what I'm just saying.

Speaker 3 (01:07:07):
Hold on, can't we just basket.

Speaker 4 (01:07:08):
That glove for a seconds to celebrate?

Speaker 1 (01:07:10):
You just want a Caribbean cruise?

Speaker 8 (01:07:12):
You?

Speaker 2 (01:07:15):
Oh my gosh, thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (01:07:17):
You're so welcome now, Oh my god, I love you guys.

Speaker 3 (01:07:21):
Well, did you love us before we gave you a cruise?

Speaker 9 (01:07:24):
I did?

Speaker 13 (01:07:25):
I love you more?

Speaker 15 (01:07:26):
Now?

Speaker 4 (01:07:28):
She can be bought.

Speaker 1 (01:07:28):
So when telest you actually flew to the Caribbean. When's
the last time you were in the Caribbean? Sandy? Are
you there? You know she's so busy packing her bags,
you know, get her on the phone, give her a
cruise or we love her anyway, So Sandy's on their way,
on the way to the Caribbean. Like I said before,

(01:07:51):
Book A seven, how about a seven day Norwegian Encore cruise.
This isn't what I'm thinking of. That's the one we're
talking about, right from Miami to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic,
Saint Thomas and then Tortola Greats your okay, your own
private NCL island and then back to Miami. Or maybe
just stay on their island and just pretend you got

(01:08:11):
on board, but don't just stay there.

Speaker 4 (01:08:13):
I really think we should do this so that we
can report back on exactly how it went and our
favorite stock.

Speaker 1 (01:08:19):
Go just please go, all of us, but anyone and
everyone who needs to get out of the cold, go
to NCL dot com. Now this is the time to
get the best more at sea value at all. Yes, Nate,
what are you drinking now?

Speaker 3 (01:08:29):
This is a painkiller and it's fantastic? Is it doing
what it really did? Seriously? I wish I could, like
I said, make cocktails like this at home.

Speaker 4 (01:08:39):
I'm glad you can't.

Speaker 14 (01:08:40):
I'm so glad that yeah, I'll be It's starting to
hit me right now? Oh oh just now, yeah, okay,
it hits You really knows how to make a drink, Gabe?

Speaker 1 (01:08:48):
And you, Gabe, why do cocktails taste differently on an
NCL ship than when we make him at home? Well,
you know, fresh and beyonds is the key.

Speaker 21 (01:08:57):
You know, you want to use all the freshens you
can get, and you know, and also the fact that
you're in a cruise, You're in vacation, you don't have
to work, you're hanging out with your family, with your friends,
So that's a value to it.

Speaker 15 (01:09:10):
You know.

Speaker 1 (01:09:10):
It gets the juices going.

Speaker 21 (01:09:13):
But at home, I suggest just get fresh ingredients, quality spirits,
great eyes, and you can start missing around and you'll
come out with great recipes.

Speaker 1 (01:09:22):
Let's mess around.

Speaker 13 (01:09:23):
I'll just go.

Speaker 3 (01:09:24):
I'll just book a cruise. It'll be way better than
you do messing around at home.

Speaker 8 (01:09:27):
Pa.

Speaker 2 (01:09:27):
Hey, Gabe, we forgot to tell you your parting gift today, Nate.

Speaker 3 (01:09:31):
No get with you.

Speaker 4 (01:09:33):
If these get the juices going, how do we stop
Nate juices if you wanted to, there's.

Speaker 10 (01:09:39):
No way.

Speaker 1 (01:09:41):
Again. N CL dot com. The pictures alone will intrigue you.
You'll you'll see the sandy beaches. You'll see the palm trees,
you'll see the as your blue waters, and you'll go Okay,
then you look around your house and go, I'm out
of here. In cl dot com. Just do it today,
and thank you for so much, Gabe, Thank you. We're
going to continue to drink things. I think when we
come back from the next song we play, we're gonna

(01:10:03):
drink some more amazing. Let's hear for Nate. Let's hear
for Nate. He made it through the entire interview.

Speaker 4 (01:10:09):
He's clapping for himself.

Speaker 1 (01:10:10):
That's it.

Speaker 18 (01:10:13):
What to day, What to day? Christmas is almost here?
What's this going on here?

Speaker 2 (01:10:28):
Alf elf elf orgy else? It's an elf orgie. Dear
care to join us?

Speaker 3 (01:10:38):
Well, it has been a long day.

Speaker 7 (01:10:45):

Speaker 6 (01:11:15):
Hey, I'm Gracie a Bro's Craick and it's not only
kids the month, this is Merry Christmas, tell Us Terran
in the Morning show.

Speaker 1 (01:11:22):
Hey, you know what if you're just turning us on.
About an hour and twenty minutes ago, we had Timothy
Chalamay on with us talking about his new film that's
coming out on Christmas December twenty fifth, all about Bob Dylan,
and uh, our interview with him was really great. It
was It was just great to have him on because
I mean, he's just first of all, he's just sheer talent, right,

(01:11:44):
and his energy was it's b d E all the way.

Speaker 11 (01:11:46):
Love it.

Speaker 4 (01:11:47):
I don't know that because you please explain it.

Speaker 1 (01:11:50):
You know exactly what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (01:11:52):
It's what Justin Timberlake didn't have yesterday.

Speaker 1 (01:11:54):
Oh no, stop, you know what, try to be positive here.
Daniel Racy Racy okay, Oh, Duli noted. Anyway, he did
use the F word a couple of times in the interview,
and we had to push the button because we live
in this world. It's living in the past. But anyway,
we're looking for the unedited version of that interview so

(01:12:16):
you can hear it as he said it. Yeah, and
we're gonna post that online so you can hear that. Yes,
a producer, sam, so.

Speaker 16 (01:12:22):
What I have rigged in my studio I get to
hear the unedited version. So every time something like that happens,
my heart gets to drop just a little bit for
a faint second until your mind myself, Oh that didn't
go over the.

Speaker 1 (01:12:32):
Next time, record it because we have it recorded somewhere.

Speaker 4 (01:12:34):
Okay, I'm going to look for it.

Speaker 1 (01:12:36):
But if you missed the interview in its clean state,
I believe we're gonna we may rerun that just a
little bit, right. I have another contail. If you have
another drink, I can talk to you into anything you can.

Speaker 4 (01:12:50):
Oh boy, I'd like you to know that Nate is
texting the way he's speaking right now.

Speaker 1 (01:12:54):
Why did he send you gombledy googen?

Speaker 4 (01:12:56):
Yeah, I don't know what he sent you.

Speaker 2 (01:12:58):
Answer a question of out what we were talking about.
He wanted to say Caribbean and he wrote Carrie bean
c a new word b e A N close.

Speaker 13 (01:13:11):
Knew.

Speaker 15 (01:13:11):
I knew what.

Speaker 1 (01:13:14):
You knew it. Of course again, it's all about being
getting more at C with n C L n CL
dot com. I cannot I can stress enough. How important
it is to go now because the prices for Caribbean
are at their best done.

Speaker 4 (01:13:31):
Some of my favorite memories of my life have been
through Norwegian.

Speaker 1 (01:13:35):
So talk about that for a minute. I mean that's
kind of cool.

Speaker 4 (01:13:38):
I mean you get to see places that you would
probably not see on your own quickly. You get, you know,
these experiences from all these different ports, and you're with
people that you love, doing things all day long that
you would never normally do. If if I was at
my house or if I just went on a vacation
where I was on land the entire time, I wouldn't
have it so packed full with all this really cool stuff.
But when you're on a cruise, it's back to back

(01:14:00):
to back, like it never stops. It stops if you
want it to. But if you don't want it to
keeps going.

Speaker 1 (01:14:05):
That's the key, because a lot of people are like,
oh my god, there's more to do. I don't want
to do more. Well, okay, you know, as my dad
always said, doing nothing is doing something right.

Speaker 2 (01:14:13):
And people cruise differently differently, like you were saying, like
some people just want to relax. They want to stay
in their room and they want to sit by the pool,
and then other people are like, oh no, no, I
want to be going the whole time. I want to
take the painting class, and I want to go take
the dance lesson.

Speaker 1 (01:14:26):
And you know what I mean, I'm getting worn out
just hearing that.

Speaker 8 (01:14:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:14:30):
Anyway, So y'all NCL dot com go, and you know,
as we celebrate all things Caribbean. We have two girls
taco shop here. We love their story and I'm gonna
We're gonna tell their story again because it's worthy of that.
And they do have the best taste in tacos known
to man, and they're out there. I can smell it
from here. It's great. Hey, let's go around the room

(01:14:52):
and see what's on the minds of people. And the
room will start with you.

Speaker 8 (01:14:54):
Nate.

Speaker 1 (01:14:55):
Oh yes, yeah, what's going on?

Speaker 11 (01:14:57):
Nate?

Speaker 3 (01:14:58):
I was thinking about what you were saying.

Speaker 14 (01:15:00):
So we all take vitamins, we all take some medications, right,
don't forget that experiences like Gandhi was just saying, is
a form of medication and for your soul and for
your sanity. So when you were talking about going to
the Caribbean, and we all kind of get like a
little seasonal effective disorder. Yep in winter, without doubt, if
you find a weekend that you can go, or a

(01:15:22):
week that you can just stick your toes in the
sand in the Caribbean or any really tropical destination, just
to get some sun on you, some warmth and realize
there's mortal life than cold. Do that, please, because that's
just as good as a vitamin.

Speaker 3 (01:15:36):
I'm telling you.

Speaker 14 (01:15:37):
Trust me better, good old uncle Nate. Believe me, book
your cruise to the Karra Beans.

Speaker 1 (01:15:44):
Right, you heard it. You heard him, a good old
uncle Nate telling me he's prescribing, Doctor Nate prescribing grabbing
a cruise and cl that they do it better than
anyone else. That's why we love him so much. Hey,
what's up, Gandhi?

Speaker 4 (01:15:57):
I have something similar to what Nate said. I know
the holidays are very chaotic and people get very stressed
out what do I get for other people? And if
you're somebody who doesn't want anything, I encourage you to
go out and do some volunteer work because it gives
you the greatest feeling ever. And it's nice to be
able to do nice things for other people and feel
nice doing it. We did some stuff yesterday and it
was awesome. And then on the way home, Andrew tried

(01:16:19):
to kill me. And I just wanted to let all
of you know that it was like the best feeling
followed by the worst feeling. I had to sit in
his trunk. What I had to sit in his trunk?
And he drove like a crazy person and you could
hear my body splatting on the side.

Speaker 1 (01:16:31):
Why were you in his trunk riding around town?

Speaker 4 (01:16:34):
He has a rental car, and we had some people
in the car because it was cold, so we were
dropping everybody off from the thing that we did. And
Andrew drives like a madman. And I never should have
sound in the trunk.

Speaker 11 (01:16:44):
It was bad.

Speaker 4 (01:16:46):
Why there were too many people? They just detriment in
the trunk. You've never sat in that away.

Speaker 2 (01:16:52):
Because if there's not enough room for everyone in the car.
I know in the Bronx, some of us would go
in the trunk.

Speaker 4 (01:16:58):
Yeah, all the time.

Speaker 2 (01:16:59):
It's probably not legal, but not legal.

Speaker 4 (01:17:03):
This is a joke, right, No, No, you've never been
in a car where someone was sitting in the trunk.

Speaker 3 (01:17:08):
Yeah, I've done that. Scary. Have you ever ridden in
the trunk of a car?

Speaker 1 (01:17:14):
Never?

Speaker 4 (01:17:15):
It's always a littlest one that goes in the trunk.

Speaker 1 (01:17:16):
Yeah right, Sam, have.

Speaker 16 (01:17:18):
You Oh yeah, my husband fell asleep in on a
couple months ago while you're driving.

Speaker 4 (01:17:22):
Yeah, this is the thing I'm telling you. It's not legal,
it's it's not certainly not safe with Andrew.

Speaker 1 (01:17:30):
I'm sorry, this is this is a new thing for me.

Speaker 2 (01:17:32):
I remember we wanted to go see the Mazy's fireworks
one year, and everyone wanted to go, and we couldn't
fit everyone in the car, so my dad put a
couple of people in the trunk.

Speaker 1 (01:17:40):
Yeah, it's dark back there in the dark, bigger car.

Speaker 4 (01:17:44):
So this was an SUV, So the trunk was one
of the ones where I was really just sitting right
behind everybody in the back.

Speaker 1 (01:17:50):
Okay, that's not the trunk.

Speaker 4 (01:17:51):
That's a trunk that I had to get taken out
from the trunk.

Speaker 3 (01:17:55):
That is not the truck.

Speaker 2 (01:17:55):
That's the trunk. It's where you put the groceries in
the street and equipment.

Speaker 3 (01:17:59):
Very clear to you.

Speaker 4 (01:18:00):
That's not riding in a trunk you are thinking of
where like i'd have to kick out a headlight to
save myself.

Speaker 1 (01:18:04):
That's a trunk, A dead body trunk, no.

Speaker 2 (01:18:09):
TV trunk.

Speaker 1 (01:18:10):
That's not a trunk.

Speaker 2 (01:18:11):
That's a trunk.

Speaker 1 (01:18:12):
No, it's not.

Speaker 2 (01:18:12):
It's not a trunk. What do you call it.

Speaker 1 (01:18:14):
It's the back of the suv.

Speaker 3 (01:18:17):
Let's move on. I'm just okay to say this.

Speaker 2 (01:18:19):
It's a car boot.

Speaker 1 (01:18:20):
I'm relieved that you weren't in a trunk because you
weren't the hatch.

Speaker 2 (01:18:23):
Oh my god, I've been in a trunk also.

Speaker 3 (01:18:25):
But Froggy, hold on, you've been in a real trunk.

Speaker 12 (01:18:28):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (01:18:28):
Why because sometimes there's not enough room in the regular car,
so you have to get into the place where there's
a room.

Speaker 9 (01:18:34):
Well, there was actually a little pole lever in there
that if you need to open the trunk for on
your own, you can.

Speaker 1 (01:18:39):
You shouldn't be in a trunk. It is you're talking
the other day about you're talking the other day about
how you're so kidnappable. Okay, that's hold on.

Speaker 9 (01:18:48):
If they put a lever back there to pull it
to open from the inside, there must be a reason.
Somebody must have been in there at some point. We
got to move on, Froggy to this, if you will.
I was cooking dinner the other night, and I was
cooking rice aeroni, and you know it's the rice and
the mix and you dump it and then there's like
the San Francisco tree it is, and there's a bag

(01:19:08):
of dust. You know what I'm talking about, the flavoring dust. Well,
I went to shake the bag of dust and there
was a hole in the bottom. My entire kitchen is
covered in chicken flavored dust. I can't It was in
the air, it was everywhere.

Speaker 15 (01:19:24):
It was.

Speaker 3 (01:19:24):
It was funny.

Speaker 9 (01:19:25):
It was hilarious. I mean, I couldn't least it was
standing five feet from me. I couldn't even see her
because there was chicken dust. The dogs are licking it
off the floor. It's all over our feet, It's in
the cabinets, it's everywhere. I still have to go home
and clean up chicken dust. So it was funny, but
it's a.

Speaker 1 (01:19:40):
Pain in the ass. It's gonna be there for years,
and it is.

Speaker 15 (01:19:43):
It is.

Speaker 9 (01:19:44):
It's on the ledge of every single thing anywhere in
the house.

Speaker 3 (01:19:47):
I'm so sorry. No, the dogs were doing that.

Speaker 1 (01:19:50):
Produce your sandwich up.

Speaker 16 (01:19:51):
I accidentally came up with the New Year's resolution yesterday.
I'm going to pay more attention to detail because I
got my first I bought a grown up bed, my
first one, no kidding. My last bet I slept on
was a hand me down from a friend. So I
was so excited about my bed. I cleaned out the
room for them deliver the mattress. And as they are
putting the bed together, I see my collection of adult
toys just out, just out on a table, like the

(01:20:14):
only table in the room too, and I just like
weirdly tried to position my body.

Speaker 3 (01:20:18):
In front of it, which I think made it weirder.

Speaker 16 (01:20:20):
And they were nice enough not to say anything, but Samantha,
get it together, girl.

Speaker 1 (01:20:25):
I love how you have it all on display. Let
me ask you this because I was at the dentist
office yesterday and they were doing it some cleaning, and
they have the tray and they have all of the
tools and instruments like lined up.

Speaker 15 (01:20:36):
That's what it's like for me.

Speaker 1 (01:20:37):
You do that with your Hona sterile metals, you do
that with your vibrators.

Speaker 4 (01:20:41):
Just me and Bill in there. I don't got to
hide it for that like sounds healthy.

Speaker 1 (01:20:47):
I just like how much? All ready to go? Stupid
scalpel splell it out? Hey, Danielle, what's up?

Speaker 2 (01:20:57):
I just want to say congratulations you guys. Remember remember
when John, the hot Purple Wiggle, came to see us, right,
and he is such a nice guy and his wife, Jesse,
is so sweet and so beautiful, and I've been following
their journey, their pregnancy journey, and they just welcomed the
little baby boy into the family this week, Henry Nicholas.
So congratulations. There's a brand new Wiggle in town. And

(01:21:20):
he's a cutie. And yeah, so congratulations. I love them
and John. Yeah, the Wiggles, the Wiggles, they got a
new Wiggle pro creating pay us getting I just want
to say thank you to all of you. You guys
helped me in a way you don't even realize. Yesterday
was one year to the day where my mom passed.

Speaker 17 (01:21:38):
And so I say, anyone who's going through something this
time of year, or anytime or any day, just surround
yourself with people you love. Because I got through the
day really well yesterday. I didn't think it was I
was gonna go so great, but I laughed through the day.
You guys were all here for me, and you didn't
even know it, and I didn't even say anything, but
it was great. I had a wonderful day yesterday.

Speaker 3 (01:21:59):
I really did.

Speaker 17 (01:22:00):
I just wanted to let you all know that it's
great to be around you surround yourself with great people, people,
people that love you.

Speaker 2 (01:22:06):
You know, my mom says about that. What she says
because I always say, well, Mom, dad died today and whatever,
and she always says, got to look at it like this, Danny.
She's like, he's not going to be here tomorrow, and
he wasn't here yesterday, so why dwell on the day,
he's still not going to be here. So you just
have to rejoice in what we have left of him
and all the memories we have and think about all

(01:22:26):
those things and just think of the day as just
another day.

Speaker 1 (01:22:29):
Way to look at it? What other ways should you look? Yeah,
that's the.

Speaker 2 (01:22:33):
Best, because you know me, I'll go visit him at
the cemetery and just cry the whole day. And Mom's like,
you don't do that, Like that's not the way to
do it.

Speaker 13 (01:22:41):
You know.

Speaker 1 (01:22:41):
It's interesting we brought this out, but you ended up scary.
We had Gabe from NCL bartending first a few moments ago,
and people were texting in, oh my god, this reminds
me of when Uncle Johnny would come be bartender with
you guys. I mean as well. You know, wait, he
didn't get like a high Cleanton this rating. I mean,

(01:23:08):
but the cocktails were tasty. But this will be our
first Christmas without Uncle Johnny. Uncle Johnny was with us
in our house on Christmas last year and we danced.
We all danced. We slow danced, we fast danced. He
smoked a lot of pot.

Speaker 8 (01:23:22):
We ate.

Speaker 1 (01:23:22):
You know, we just had such a great time. And
so we just experienced our first Thanksgiving without it. But
the first Christmas with an uncle Johnny's gonna be wild
because he loved Christmas. He loved putting on the Santa
Claus hat, drinking his martinis, getting all tanked up. So anyway,
to those we've lost along the way, Uh, they come
to visit us. They visit us in our holidays, just

(01:23:43):
like they visit us in our dreams.

Speaker 4 (01:23:45):
Can we play his Christmas song?

Speaker 10 (01:23:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:23:47):
Yes, you want to hear it? I did, Froggy, Uncle Johnny.

Speaker 13 (01:23:52):
I'm all warmed up, perfect was brown.

Speaker 3 (01:23:57):
Let's go.

Speaker 11 (01:24:00):
Hi.

Speaker 3 (01:24:00):
Here's the thing to say on a bride. HOI Christmas Day,
melkal and mock on Christmas?

Speaker 1 (01:24:11):
Are you crazy? I just told Froggy, I said, that's
his best work. He's ever done.

Speaker 2 (01:24:18):
Yeah, that was amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:24:19):
It doesn't get better than that. Frog you said, hang
up your headphones, you're done. Okay, you know we're celebrating
the Caribbean today. Of course because of n CL. You
need to hop on a ship right now, get the
hell out of town. And NCL is a way to go.
The prices are at the best of the value is
all time high because you get more in the Caribbean
with our friends at NCL and also our friend Shelley

(01:24:41):
and Flash. Yeah, they're here with two girls cookshop and
I love their story. We got to hear it again.
She gets tired of me asking for that story.

Speaker 4 (01:24:51):
They just keep growing. I mean, it was amazing they started.
I don't want to give away their story, let them
tell it.

Speaker 1 (01:24:56):
But Yeah, and Shatan are coming in with some some tacos.
I'm so excited. Okay, Nate, I, oh, you definitely need
It's almost time. It's almost that we're gonna soak up
that alcohol. Such a mess, Danielle, what's going on.

Speaker 2 (01:25:11):
I don't know if you saw this interviewer sitting with
Jennifer Lopez, who by the way, is fifty five years old,
and he said that she's getting up there and she
took it instry. She kind of just laughed at it.
She thanked her fans for sticking buyers that I honestly
feel that the best is yet to come. Now, who
quiz for everyone in the room. If we had said
that to someone else, they would have been pissed off.

(01:25:33):
Who am I talking about?

Speaker 1 (01:25:35):
Well, that's what I did say. She got mad at
we didn't speak for company.

Speaker 2 (01:25:39):
What did you say You've been around for a while
that I did.

Speaker 3 (01:25:41):
Not say that?

Speaker 1 (01:25:42):
Something like, No, we were talking about when her Christmas
album came out. Yeah, and you know to this day
she's pretty much doing well with that Christmas HEU, yeah,
as you know. And she said, dogg, we can't talk
about that. So Nober, how many years ago that was?
We met you at Rockefeller Center and run on the
Christmas street dolling, We can't talk about that. She didn't
wan to talk about that because it would rhyme people
how old you were?

Speaker 11 (01:26:03):
Right?

Speaker 2 (01:26:03):
So she got a stat Well, but now she's.

Speaker 1 (01:26:05):
Living beautifully in her life and she's gorgeous.

Speaker 2 (01:26:06):
It's she's always been gorgeous, My goodness. So Megan the
Stallion is seeking a restraining order against Tory Lanez. Even
though he's serving time for shooting her in the foot,
he is paying people, according to her, on the outside,
to harass her and ruin her life. She is claiming
that he pays all these bloggers to spread really nasty
things about her, and she actually sued one of them

(01:26:28):
a few months ago, and now she is continuing to
do things to like, you know, take her life back
because this is getting crazy. So why yeah, so our
best going out to her over there. That's a lot
to deal with. Kristin Kavalari revealed I told you guys
this yesterday off the air. She was talking about a
really scary incident that happened to her during a twenty
twenty trip to the Bahamas. She was talking about this

(01:26:50):
on her podcast Let's Be Honest. She said she found
a masked man crawling on her bedroom floor.

Speaker 3 (01:26:56):
Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (01:26:57):
The intruder fled when confronted, but she stayed because her
son was in the bed with her. Can you even
imagine how crazy and scary that was. The guy actually
turned out to be an HVAC worker. He stole money,
but he got caught. The money actually got recovered, which
is great, and she tried to hide the incident from
her kids. She didn't want to tell them, and she
still doesn't want to tell them. She's told me they

(01:27:18):
won't learn about it until their adults because she doesn't
want to scare them.

Speaker 1 (01:27:20):
You know, the HVAC guy snug into their room and
story of stealing money. You know h FAC they make
a lot of money in h fact, Why is he
stealing money?

Speaker 2 (01:27:28):
What's going on there?

Speaker 1 (01:27:29):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (01:27:30):
The Jonahs brothers have joined Dick Clark's New Year's Rockey
with Ryan Seacrest. I mean, this is gonna be amazing.
They that show is going to be incredible. Carrie Underwood,
You've got Thomas, Rhett Blake, Shelton, Kesha Tea Pain, Lenny Kravit's,
Teddy Swims, Natasha Bendingfield. It's gonna be nuts on it.
And guess when it's on when New Year's of course.

Speaker 3 (01:27:52):
No idea.

Speaker 2 (01:27:53):
I've had people say to me when's Saturday Night Live on?

Speaker 1 (01:27:56):
I'm like, really, yeah, Saturday night? What time it's live?

Speaker 13 (01:28:00):
Do they record it?

Speaker 2 (01:28:00):
Thanks Life, And I just want to say, for personal
reasons for myself and my family. Cody Bellinger, Welcome to
the New York. Here she goes we have been waiting
for you to come. His dad played for the Yankees,
and I have to say, my family's been waiting for
this for a long time, and I am so damn excited.
So welcome Belly to the Yankees. All right, and what

(01:28:22):
are we watching? Want to shut up?

Speaker 15 (01:28:25):
Watch day?

Speaker 1 (01:28:27):
Don't listen to him.

Speaker 11 (01:28:29):
Radio.

Speaker 2 (01:28:29):

It's on tonight on ABC. And then if you miss
it tonight, you can watch it on Hulu tomorrow. And
that's all I'm gonna say. That's my Danielle report.

Speaker 1 (01:28:36):
Thank you, Danielle.

Speaker 7 (01:28:38):
Happy holidays from Elvis duran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (01:28:42):
You guys give up Thursday for more hoppy.

Speaker 7 (01:28:45):
Holidays from Elvis Durant.

Speaker 13 (01:28:47):
In the Morning Show.

Speaker 1 (01:28:48):
All right, let's try to keep our wits about this.
We're going to lunch today. We're having our annual Elvis
Tran Morning Show family lunch.

Speaker 2 (01:28:58):
I think somebody might not make What do you mean, Nate's.

Speaker 4 (01:29:02):
Fine, he's tweaking out, man, he's tweaking out.

Speaker 1 (01:29:06):
You are tweaking out.

Speaker 3 (01:29:07):
I do get drunk fast, you do.

Speaker 1 (01:29:11):
Look that's fine, good, good, cheap drunk. I love you.
But a date.

Speaker 3 (01:29:14):
One drink.

Speaker 1 (01:29:16):
I know you give it up.

Speaker 4 (01:29:17):
Are you allergic or something?

Speaker 5 (01:29:18):
What is this?

Speaker 1 (01:29:19):
It could be he one drink? He turns into the
town pump.

Speaker 12 (01:29:22):
He really does, he really does strokes.

Speaker 3 (01:29:25):
I really don't drink that much, so when I do drink,
so maybe.

Speaker 1 (01:29:28):
Every every sip of cocktail, it's like a little mini stroke.

Speaker 11 (01:29:31):
Maybe.

Speaker 1 (01:29:32):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:29:33):
As the day goes on, more and more buttons become on,
buttoned on, but.

Speaker 1 (01:29:37):
He unbuttons, unbuttons them starting at the bottom, so see
his belly first. Hey, hey, okay, So we're gonna gather
at a very very very very hot spot here in
New York City, a great restaurant that's a lot of fun.
I've been several times. And do we have any rules
we need to follow today?

Speaker 2 (01:29:57):
No, they're already gone. Nate broke everyone all ready.

Speaker 4 (01:30:00):
I think Nayt and Scottie are the big rule violator.

Speaker 1 (01:30:02):
H Watty Scotty on. How's Scotty a big How are
you a big violator of all the rules? Well, I'm
just gonna make a mess and break things and ask
for things. He does. It's like it's like taking a
toddler to lunch.

Speaker 4 (01:30:14):
No, a bird there's just strapnel everywhere. Yeah, shrimped tails.
And then he knocks things over and he asks, you know,
I know this soup was supposed to be cold because
you heat it up for me.

Speaker 1 (01:30:23):
He asked them to take cold soups, and but there's
no cold soups there, So you're good. Good, Well, you know,
after two beers, I'm trouble.

Speaker 3 (01:30:29):
Then only then only have one beer?

Speaker 1 (01:30:31):
Okay, okay, Look, you know, as your host, I got
to make sure that you get you guys, get home
safe and sound. I don't want any of that, you know, and.

Speaker 4 (01:30:38):
Take away the fun for you. It's like hurting cats.

Speaker 1 (01:30:42):
Well, no, I I have someone to drive me, so
I'm good.

Speaker 13 (01:30:44):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:30:46):
No, I'm saying making sure all of us are.

Speaker 1 (01:30:47):
Okay good gun No, no, no, the suggestion is there,
just just let's not go overboard. Yeah yeah, scarey.

Speaker 17 (01:30:53):
What can we sit the food allergy people at their
own table because these were curated and hold on there, curated,
listen and your food loving way.

Speaker 3 (01:31:05):
All right, let's go to a shoe.

Speaker 1 (01:31:07):
There's allergic to gluten, Garrett, there's going to be gluten there,
you know what, I'm hoping.

Speaker 3 (01:31:13):
There's something on the menu you can eat. I always
find a way. It's fine. What does that take away
from your sitting? Scary wants you to sit at another table.

Speaker 1 (01:31:21):
Well, look, just look, if you're around gluten, you don't
you know, you know, No, it's not like a peanut
allergy for me. Well, Deanna has a peanut algai and
I want her to feel as welcome as everyone else.
Scary the problem though, Diamond, she says she's allergic to things.

Speaker 3 (01:31:36):
I think she makes that up.

Speaker 17 (01:31:37):
This is made a certain way for a reason because
they're hits, So you want to eat them the way
they were intended.

Speaker 3 (01:31:42):
You do not want to insult the shop.

Speaker 2 (01:31:44):
But if you're sitting next to Deanna and she's highly
allergic to peanuts, you're going to just be rude about it.

Speaker 1 (01:31:49):
Yeah, don't be rude about it. Dianna dam is a
member for Oh she's here and she's.

Speaker 2 (01:31:53):
Pissed Deanna kick his ass.

Speaker 1 (01:31:55):
Yes, Deanna, you're We're going to make sure you're safe,
and we don't want you to set your own table
because you're allergic to anything.

Speaker 3 (01:32:02):
Thank goodness.

Speaker 1 (01:32:03):
We always need to be more more careful and sometimes
we forget. You know, we'll be in here having peanut
butter sandwiches and Dana, Hey, what's going on?

Speaker 4 (01:32:14):
Scarry was like chasing her with nuts the other day?

Speaker 15 (01:32:17):
What are you doing?

Speaker 1 (01:32:18):
We're scary, chasing you with nuts?

Speaker 13 (01:32:20):
Yeah, he was eating something and I was like, are
you eating nuts? And he was like what, getting closer
and I was like are you eating nuts? And he's
like rot, And then he finally backed up.

Speaker 1 (01:32:29):
Guys, you're dealing with life and death here, but scary
like people you have the road table. No, you're gonna
be a polite colleague and friend.

Speaker 4 (01:32:40):
Yes, Gandhi, I hate to admit this to a certain extent,
I understand what he's saying. Maybe they don't need a
separate table. We just put them at an end of
a table. So if something with nuts does come out,
it's not getting in her face and killing her, all.

Speaker 1 (01:32:53):
Right, So no one's gonna slap your face with.

Speaker 2 (01:32:55):
Nuts unless you want.

Speaker 4 (01:32:58):
I don't know my request.

Speaker 1 (01:33:00):
Unless it's Friday night. No, No, But let's let's just
let's be aware of that. But but number one thing
we should be aware of is we had a great
ear together and we're family. We love each other and
we look out for each other. Scary, yes, some more
than thank you, Deanna. We will make sure you're safe today.

Speaker 4 (01:33:20):
We need to know where everyone's It's.

Speaker 1 (01:33:21):
An Italian based restaurant. I don't know how much nut
like nuts we have gone. They have some nuts.

Speaker 3 (01:33:27):
They do nuts.

Speaker 1 (01:33:29):
Man. So we have sound with Garrett. Do we have
any more rules?

Speaker 3 (01:33:34):
Yeah, just don't do shots.

Speaker 1 (01:33:36):
Even though they're famous for their shot glasses on hot
wheels cars that you can roll around.

Speaker 2 (01:33:42):
We let it take that home with us.

Speaker 1 (01:33:44):
Well, I'm sure they disappear a lot, and I'm sure
they actually have a budget for disappearing shot cart wheel,
bring bag.

Speaker 2 (01:33:53):
Stop talking about it, Garrett.

Speaker 1 (01:33:56):
Sound what going all right? Let's start with American Masters.
It's on PBS. So they were talking about Brenda Lee's
song Rocking Around the Christmas Tree. Did you know when
it was first created, it wasn't an instant hit. It
took one Christmas movie we've all seen for it to
become famous.

Speaker 3 (01:34:10):
They put it out, it didn't sell.

Speaker 17 (01:34:11):
Then she had some big success in Europe and they
released it in Europe and it then became a huge seller.

Speaker 7 (01:34:16):
I got a call and they said, Brenda, there's a
movie out. It's called Home Alone, and your songs all
over it.

Speaker 15 (01:34:22):
Brenda Lee is a part of millions of families and
has been a part of their life, their entire life.
That's an extraordinary accomplishment. With just one song.

Speaker 3 (01:34:32):
It knocked Mariah carry off the charts. You're Brenda Lee
singing rocking around the Christmas tree and it's Christmas time.

Speaker 13 (01:34:40):
All right.

Speaker 1 (01:34:41):
So last night Elton John was on with Stephen Colbert.

Speaker 13 (01:34:44):
I did not know this.

Speaker 3 (01:34:45):
I didn't know Elton John wasn't named Elton John. Yeah,
and he was talking about how he came across Elton John.

Speaker 1 (01:34:51):
Good, listen to this.

Speaker 22 (01:34:52):
I chose Elton because I was in the bond with
a guy called long Jomp Bouldery and I had to
choose the name very quickly. So I was on the
US back with a band from Heathrow to London and
a saxophone player was called Elton Dean. I thought, Elton.
There's not many Eltons in the world. That's pretty unusual.
And John Boulruth. So when John very cue, I'll have that.
And then middle names are quite useless anyway, no one

(01:35:14):
uses them, do they.

Speaker 1 (01:35:16):
I don't learn.

Speaker 3 (01:35:16):
You start Hercules, yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:35:21):
His middle names Hercules like or at least his stage
middle name is Hercules. So did you know Keith Urban
has this trick. Have you ever seen him in concert?
And he it seems like he might not know the words.
He does this trick to make it sound like he
knows the words. But there's a technical problem on stage now.

Speaker 15 (01:35:37):
And then yeah, I for some reason you have the
little glitch sometimes, Yeah, I do. Forget. If I'm singing
into the mic and I'm saying.

Speaker 12 (01:35:43):
Here in a sweet land, shake the core, there.

Speaker 15 (01:35:54):
Is back and then by then you're onto the next verse.
Apparently I'll do it so well that in the middle
of the song my roady ran out and replaced the microphone.

Speaker 1 (01:36:03):
There you go, pretend your microphone is failing.

Speaker 3 (01:36:05):
Is super interesting.

Speaker 1 (01:36:06):
And then, finally, since we were mentioning Mariah carry a
bunch this morning, I found some isolated vocals of her
famous Christmas song.

Speaker 2 (01:36:15):
Don't Want a Lot for Christmas?

Speaker 7 (01:36:19):
Fair is just one thing on me.

Speaker 4 (01:36:24):
I don't care about the presence underneath.

Speaker 11 (01:36:29):
The Christmas tree.

Speaker 16 (01:36:31):
I just want to full my own more than you could.

Speaker 2 (01:36:37):
Ever know, make my own wish, cont want fuck Christmas.

Speaker 15 (01:36:52):
E E isn't just.

Speaker 1 (01:37:02):
Incredible, Mariah Carris.

Speaker 2 (01:37:05):
Have you ever seen the video for that song. So
she's she's in a she's at someone's house with all
their animatronics and all their Christmas decorations. She's in a
front lawn and it's actually filmed in the Bronx, and
it's at a house that was owned by the Garabedian family,
and they were very well known for a lot of
traffic because everybody went by to see their Christmas decorations

(01:37:25):
and they always collected money for like, you know, different
things and stuff. So it was pretty cool that it
was like it was actually part of my growing up
where she filmed the video for that, because I always
went to see the Garabedian holiday display. It was cool.

Speaker 1 (01:37:37):
And every time that song plays on this station, I
see you guys go oh God. Again. I can't get
enough of it.

Speaker 4 (01:37:44):
It doesn't bother me.

Speaker 1 (01:37:45):
Now the share song, and now this this song from
Donnie Hathaway this Christmas. It's the song everyone loves. Huh,
here we go.

Speaker 3 (01:38:03):
You're good American Garrett. Isn't that great?

Speaker 1 (01:38:09):
Donnie Hathaway one of the greats of all times? There
you go, Thank you, Donnie. I'm gonna let the whole
thing play. I like a good fader.

Speaker 3 (01:38:19):
Hello Little Louie, what do you want for Christmas this year?

Speaker 2 (01:38:23):
I really want to go to the North Pole.

Speaker 3 (01:38:26):
Yes, you, son of a BITCHO bury you.

Speaker 7 (01:38:30):
And Merry Christmas from Alvis Jan in the Morning Show.

Speaker 7 (01:39:03):
Elvista ran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 1 (01:39:05):
You know, we have a several themes going on. It's
a thumatic day. We're all jazzed up because we're sending
people to the Caribbean because it's time to get out
of the country. They just go sit in some sand,
have some good food, hang out with some people from
a part of the world that are so loving and

(01:39:27):
so nurturing. And not only do they even go to
the Caribbean, they make you feel great, not just because
of the food. They feed you and they nourish you
with but just their sunshine. There's a lot of sunshine
even in the even at night. It's sunny in the Caribbean.
Does that makes sense? Yes, not like an Alaskan thing,
like a light thing. Anyway, So we're telling you, we're

(01:39:47):
telling you now it's the best time to go to
NCL dot com and hop on one of their cruises
to the Caribbean or the Bahamas. Get more at sea
with them, a lot more you'll see when you go online.
You'll go, Okay, we got to get this booked. And
the people you want to hang out with only invite them.
Don't do a family vacation.

Speaker 2 (01:40:03):
Yes, that's nice unless you love your family. Yes, if
you love your family, it's okay.

Speaker 1 (01:40:08):
Then we talked about going on cruises. You know a
lot of people have reasons to go on cruises, like
celebrating engagement or you lose a loved one, you know,
And so let's all go celebrate at a bar on
a ship in the Caribbean.

Speaker 3 (01:40:20):
I mean.

Speaker 1 (01:40:21):
Now another thing part of our thematic day about the Caribbean.
Our friend Shelley, Shelley Flash is here from Two Girls Cookshop.

Speaker 4 (01:40:29):
I love Shelley.

Speaker 1 (01:40:30):
Your story is still one of my favorite stories of
all time. You get close to that. Mic, Let's talk
about this. One night we were at the New York
City Wine and Food Festival. They did Tacos and Tequila night. Yes,
we ate some tacos, Nate drank some tequila, just like today,
it's different. And there was one taco there that made

(01:40:51):
everyone go, what the what is this? And it was
of course it was Shelley's your Tacos. Of course they
won hands down.

Speaker 11 (01:40:59):
Yes, and I have to shout out my daughter, she's
here somewhere. Two girls in a cook shop. It was
a team effort, one thousand percent, but that moment definitely
propelled us and changed our lives. Like two years ago,
it's never been the same. Since we've been featured in
Food Network. We've done the Great Food Truck Race. I'm
about to be on another show with Food Network. Can't
talk about it yet. We did our first festival in Jamaica.

(01:41:20):
They called it the Culinary Homecoming, which is like, my
heart is still full off with that, we just continue
to be blessed. So I always say thank God for
everything you pray for, because it will happen, even if
you're tired, even if you're exhausted, just continue to say thanks.
And when I tell you that night to be seen,
it's just I feel like they haven't stopped.

Speaker 1 (01:41:39):
Well, let's talk about that night. Because when we brought
you guys up on stage to present the you know,
the big fake check you know, ever there, it was real.
We had to make miniature size.

Speaker 3 (01:41:55):
Your story.

Speaker 15 (01:41:55):
Again.

Speaker 1 (01:41:56):
We were keep in mind, at this outdoor food festival,
a lot of people, a lot of people drinking and
you know, dropping cups and things and you know, and
plates and spoons.

Speaker 5 (01:42:02):
And this and that.

Speaker 1 (01:42:03):
Shelley said to me, Usually when we have been to
these food festivals, it was for a different reason.

Speaker 11 (01:42:09):
One hundred percent. We used to actually clean up after chefs.
We were chef assistants. And when you're there as the help,
you're not seen. The same person that checked me in
what five six years ago didn't even recognize me, right,
And I think it took like two times still for
him to be like, wait, oh, you're that person. So
to have that full circle moment and it even happened again.

(01:42:31):
We went to Jamaica. My grandmother was one of the
top housekeepers. So we come from a long line of
domestic workers and we didn't start with like fancy jobs.
So just to come back and be able to represent
as a woman owned business and the mother daughter team
on top of that, it's just like it's my my
heart continues to like echo my ancestors, like I'm doing
something right. We didn't get to say, you know, our

(01:42:53):
grandmothers who so avon was entrepreneurs, but they were our
first entrepreneurs if you think about it, selling a cleaning
up houses, serving box lunches. So just to have that
moment where it's not how you start, it is the
process and the people you meet and the people you
touch along the way. We're just so fortunate that we're
doing the second universal languagey of music, and there's food
and we get to do that.

Speaker 1 (01:43:14):
I put I put food right. So tonight, Shelby to Night,
you and Jatan were at the food festival. You told
me this story and then you said, well, okay, I'll
finish the story. But I got to go up on
stage and be presented with first place Taco of Ore.

Speaker 2 (01:43:29):
I know that was happening. I was so surprised when
that happening.

Speaker 3 (01:43:32):
How amazing was that moment. I mean, that was a
pivotal moment.

Speaker 1 (01:43:35):
In both of your life.

Speaker 11 (01:43:36):
It's huge because of the fact that we are doing
diaspirc food that is a traveling of anyone. It's not
just a black thing. It's anyone that has come to
America and brought their traditions and their stories. Have it
be from Malaysia, have it be from Israel, have it
be from Mexico. They have transported here, and we're bringing
that food to life in a different way. So to
be honored and like seen and validated for doing something

(01:43:57):
our way as a first gen, as a second gen,
that is so huge for us because sometimes we're displaced,
we don't know where we fit. And then I'm against
my peers who are doing tacos every day twenty four
to seven, and we we won, but it was a
landslide way well you know, but I feel like when

(01:44:17):
you you can't hide the stories. No matter how much
they try to take away our stories and remove things
from the map, you cannot take away the story of
food and how it connects people and how it touches them.

Speaker 1 (01:44:28):
Gandhi. You know, we came back from that event and
you know did the show and you got we were
talking about you guys. It was like the energy from that.
And you know, and food is food is so much
more than just something you cram in your pie hole
and chew it and swallow it. You know, it's it's
it's history, culture, memories, flavor.

Speaker 2 (01:44:51):
She wrote memories to me today she's got Jamaica big.
We had a New York moment.

Speaker 11 (01:44:56):
Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (01:44:58):
I said, oh my gosh, this brings you back to
school because on Friday, on Friday, yeah, Fridays, we would
have Jamaican beefatty Day and it was the best day ever.
We were so excited and she said, oh my gosh.

Speaker 11 (01:45:07):
Yeah, that's such a New York like quintessential memory of
our childhood. Like dang, we look forward today. Yeah, and
that was then introduction of culture in Dallas. We had
Friday's were cardboard Pizza Day.

Speaker 2 (01:45:17):
Yeah, we had those two.

Speaker 1 (01:45:22):
We're so excited to have you both here and welcome
back to your home. And ice. I smell spice. Yeah, yes,
what are we eating out there? I saw some shrimp.
I saw everything out there.

Speaker 11 (01:45:31):
We had to keep it really traditional, just a shout
at NCL because they're hitting the Caribbean in a big way,
so we had to bring big flavors, So we have
jerk chicken esco of each fish. We have our curry
crunchy shrimp, we have coconut rice, black beans, sweet planting,
our mango thyme lemonade, and then we just adorn the
table with all these different artifacts so you feel like
you're actually taking a trip.

Speaker 4 (01:45:52):
So we're pregaming a little bit today to get you ready.

Speaker 1 (01:45:55):
For that trip.

Speaker 2 (01:45:56):
So we're excited, and I want to tell you thank you.

Speaker 11 (01:45:59):
I want to thank you guy g All, just for
always welcoming us and wrapping our hands around us and
just celebrating small businesses and just celebrating just people trying
to just put themselves out there. The amount of people
that came to our pop ups, came to our restaurant
just because they hurt us on your show, and it's
like you give us that stamp, but it's not even
just like a throwaway shout out. You truly are pouring
back into the community. And I think people do know that,

(01:46:20):
and I think that's why they have an affinity and
a true love for you. So just thank you for
being you, and thank you for everybody here.

Speaker 1 (01:46:25):
That's an honor for you to say that, but but
to be fair. But I think I had you had
the corn corn today. You know, you always had me
a corn. To be totally fair. I mean you came in,
and you come in and tell your story and you
get the microphone. Okay, we plugged in your microphone. But
what you say and your words and your heart going
out through the mic is and the ingredient.

Speaker 2 (01:46:45):
Is you are inspiring other people who are doing what
you did and just starting out and going wow, I
can do it. Absolutely, you know.

Speaker 4 (01:46:53):
I think it's so important too to highlight that you
were around the thing that you wanted to do. So
even if you're not entering at the level that you
want to be. Yeah, when you get in and you
get into those spaces, you meet people, you get to
do things in network. And now here you are and
I'm sweating because everyone has been walking by the table
trying to get the food.

Speaker 11 (01:47:12):
And it's a holiday season, so it's time to give.
But I was like, can we give you guys food first?

Speaker 1 (01:47:15):
And I was just like, Shelley and Rights are working
their butts off to try to get this food right,
and we're just talking about hugging them and like, and
Shelly's like, I really need to get this food anyway,
let's go do it.

Speaker 11 (01:47:27):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:47:28):
And of course the Caribbean, you know it's we're celebrating
all of that with n c L n CL dot com.
Get out there, go go, go eat. You know what
I'm saying.

Speaker 11 (01:47:38):
Yeah, yep, eat, swim, twirl, get drunk. I need I
need one of those two drink We got those, We
got those. The drink package in there too.

Speaker 1 (01:47:48):
Okay. Shelley and Ton, thank you so much for coming up.
And of course, of course two girls coach Chop.

Speaker 3 (01:47:55):
We love you guys.

Speaker 7 (01:47:57):
Merry Christmas from mister Ran in the morning.

Speaker 6 (01:48:01):
What a day.

Speaker 1 (01:48:02):
I'm all worn out, but we had a great day.
What are we watching tonight?

Speaker 12 (01:48:05):
Hello?

Speaker 2 (01:48:06):
The iHeartRadio jingle Ball twenty twenty four on ABC. That's
all you need to know.

Speaker 1 (01:48:10):
Thank you, Danielle. We'll see you tomorrow. Till then say
peace out, everybody, Peace out, everybody.
