You're still you're still at one hundred and ten dollars.
All right, Okay, now we have several more to go.
Here we go. Who's this artist speaking? Listen?
Speaker 12 (09:13):
Make sure you know everything was cool and that you
know no other women were around, and blah blah blah,
this is my first love. Remember, I had never really
ever been in love with anybody like I was in
love with Bobby.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
So she was in love with Bobby. Who was that?
Speaker 8 (09:29):
Oh Bobby? Oh it's not my aunt Linda.
Speaker 14 (09:37):
Okay, Uh it was not Aunt Linda.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
Now stop, I feel like, uh, is she a rapper?
Speaker 22 (09:47):

You're down to one hundred dollars. Let's see if you
can get this artist who is to speak?
Speaker 24 (10:06):
My husband and I have been talking about adoption for
two years, and then a year ago we decided that
we definitely wanted to do it. Then we started discussing
about where, and I mean, there are no accidents.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Yeah, she sounds a little British, but she's not.
Speaker 8 (10:22):
What the heck with that accident that I should get
ten dollars for that? This is like false advertisement, Gwen Stefani.
Maybe no, it's.
Speaker 7 (10:37):
A strange accent. Nobody can figure out from.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
Where Erica I gave you one hundred and fifty dollars.
You've widdwed it down to ninety dollars?
Speaker 6 (10:45):
Really great?
Speaker 1 (10:48):
Who is this artist right here?
Speaker 9 (10:50):
The first thing you see is someone's face, unless you're
looking at their shoes. I usually tend to look at
their skin, their teeth, they're small, and then after that
it's more about like whatever energy there they do?
Speaker 25 (11:07):
Not?
Speaker 22 (11:07):
All right?
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Who is that energy?
Speaker 8 (11:10):
Pink?
Speaker 1 (11:18):
Okay, you're down to Okay, we have two more to go. Okay,
let's see if you can get this one right here?
Who is this artist speaking right here?
Speaker 26 (11:26):
I'm obsessed. I mean her horror films, scary movies, all
of that costume though I'm probably eight years that's a
long time. Yeah, because I go to the things. But
I'm more like, I think I'm more scary. I'm into
the horror mask.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Who's that?
Speaker 8 (11:46):
Have I guessed their name yet? Trying and narrow down. Okay,
they're like Halloween. I probably be friends with them, so
probably not get another name though, m are the current?
Are they older?
Speaker 22 (12:02):
Like?
Speaker 8 (12:02):
Can I get that?
Speaker 1 (12:04):
She's current?
Speaker 8 (12:05):
Here?
Speaker 1 (12:06):
She's current. She's still in the game, absolutely, but she
recently said she's thinking of maybe retiring from music, tiring
and she's way too young to be saying.
Speaker 25 (12:15):
She has a Spanish album coming out all right, oh
Seleena gom Yeah, I'm yielding.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Get froggy for giving clues, and here we are giving clues.
Speaker 20 (12:29):
You're still she needs the money for a down payment
on her house coming up.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
Well you still have eighty dollars. All right, We're gonna
give you one more. Let's see if you can get
this ten dollars. Who is this? So clues are.
Speaker 23 (12:39):
Okay now or no?
Speaker 1 (12:42):
I'm making a deal with you. I'll make a deal
with you. This last one is all or nothing. I
will give you all your money back if you if
you get it right, and if you get it wrong,
you lose everything. You can either walk away with eighty
or seventy dollars whatever, or you can all or nothing
right now, what do you want to do?
Speaker 8 (13:00):
You know my life is all or nothing right now.
So I'm going to go for all or nothing.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
You get this artist correct, you will walk away with
one hundred and fifty dollars. If you get it wrong,
you walk away with nothing.
Speaker 8 (13:14):
Okay, that's fine, we go here, we go.
Speaker 13 (13:17):
I want you to put it on, you know, and
and and get lost in it.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
And I think it's important. There's only nine tracks on
this album. Who is that.
Speaker 8 (13:28):
Wait, this is all or nothing for sure, Kanye West.
Speaker 27 (13:42):
Okay, no, it's not.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
Okay, you just lost everything, man, I love you. I'm
going to send you a hundred dollars.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
Okay, thank you, I set it.
Speaker 7 (13:55):
Can I throw in the other fifty because she was
so fun, she was awesome.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
Really are you sending her pity money? I want to
do it. Then we're going to more.
Speaker 17 (14:06):
If Daniel undred five I made for fifty, I'm going to.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
Fifty dollars to make three hundred dollars. You're walking away
with three hundred dollars.
Speaker 8 (14:19):
I just want to say thank you. I have the
five x New York for my grandpa's funeral, so like,
thank you so much.
Speaker 20 (14:25):
I really do.
Speaker 18 (14:27):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
Sorry to hear about your grandpa. I'm so sorry to
hear that.
Speaker 4 (14:30):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
And you know what, let's make it an even five hundred.
Oh but we're cutting you off right around there.
Speaker 22 (14:42):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (14:42):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
Thank you for listening to us, Erica, and you give
your family our best and five hundred dollars to help
you whatever you need it for. And thank you for
listening to us. It's an honor to have you listen
to us.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 8 (14:54):
I can't wait to get like ridiculed by all my
students today.
Speaker 16 (14:57):
Thank you early time.
Speaker 10 (15:01):
That was awesome, all right, teacher, Yeah, she's awesome.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
Oh that was great.
Speaker 28 (15:09):
All right.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
So much happening today. Let's get into the latest news
from Kandi. What's going on.
Speaker 28 (15:14):
The longest government shutdown in US history may be on
the verge of coming to an end, and at sixty
to forty vote, eight members of the Senate Democratic Caucus
joined Republicans in advancing a stopgap measure that would fund
the government through January thirtieth. Sunday's vote came after an
agreement that was reached that included a future vote on
extending healthcare subsidies and assurances that federal workers furloughed during
the shutdown would be reinstated. However, there are still some
(15:37):
hurdles before the government can fully reopen. Any Senator could
slow the process for several days, and the House must
reconvene to approve the Senate's deal. As all this is
playing out, our Treasury Secretary says the impact on the
economy is getting worse and worse each day as the
government shutdown continues. President Trump is issuing a new round
of pardons. US Parton Attorney Ed Martin announced on Sunday
(15:59):
that the pardons four seventy seven people had been granted.
That includes Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, former White House Chief
of Staff, Mark Meadows, and many more. Those pardoned were
allegedly involved in efforts to overturn the twenty twenty presidential
election results, including a plan to field an alternate slate
of electors. And finally, NASA is laying the launch of
two Mars probes because of bad weather at Cape Canaveral.
(16:21):
Blue Origin, which is using its huge new Glen rocket
to take the probes to space, made the call Sunday.
The next attempt is sept for Wednesday. The twin probes
are designed to orbit the red planet and study the atmosphere.
And those are your three things.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
Oh there goes Elvis.
Speaker 5 (16:37):
Elvis Terran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 29 (16:40):
No, it's not too early to start holiday shopping. All
to Beauty's Early Black Friday event is happening now through
November twenty second, with new offers dropping every week. Head
into Alta Beauty Today to shop the Early Black Friday
Event Alta Beauty Gifting happens here.
Speaker 5 (17:00):
And Elistair ran in the morning.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
Show Poor Gandhi dealing with her mom. I uh, look,
you you know you have a lovely mother, you have
a lovely family, But at some point in a parent's
life they should just give up trying to do anything technical. Well,
so what was her weird question to you? I laughed
when I heard the question.
Speaker 28 (17:19):
She texted me the other day and asked if she
had a YouTube, which made me immediately think she thought
it was a tube, like an actual tube somewhere in
the home and wanted to know if it was available.
So I got so stressed out because there's nothing that
makes me hate myself more than trying to help my
parents with technology.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
And I wait, do you hate that party? Do you
hate how you get mad at them?
Speaker 7 (17:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (17:41):
Which the whole thing is a frustrating No.
Speaker 28 (17:43):
I hate myself for it because I get so angry
because they don't know anything about technology.
Speaker 7 (17:49):
You know, like nothing.
Speaker 28 (17:49):
My mom, A text, is an email, is a message,
It's all the same thing. So she'll tell me somebody
emailed her with whatever. You know, she can't forward it.
It's just it is a daunting task to try and
walk them through something and I'm not there. So here
I am thinking, Jesus, what is it that she's trying
to do? Is she trying to get YouTube on the
TV that's going to send me into a spiral? Is
she trying to open up a YouTube account gonna send
(18:11):
me into a spiral? So I was trying to think
about all of the ways that I could help her
without becoming the ugly person that I don't like when
I try to. And I think the answer is I
ponder off on one of her friends.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
Yeah, a bitter idea. Yeah, so you know she patience.
Speaker 7 (18:27):
Yes, and who's there in person?
Speaker 28 (18:29):
Because I'll try to FaceTime her to help her, you know,
walk one logging into Netflix. I mean that is like
the bane of my existence. And it's the same thing
every time I wrote them directions.
Speaker 7 (18:38):
She can't do it.
Speaker 28 (18:39):
So she'll FaceTime me and then hold the camera on
herself the whole time, and I'm like, no, you need
to show me what I'm looking at. The flip the
camera and then flip the phone and it's still on her.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
I'm getting frustrated just hearing this. Yeah, Frog, what's your suggestion?
Speaker 17 (18:56):
Don't I don't have one. Don't to start with two
factor authentications. The other day, they were trying to help
my parents log in for something and I'm like, okay,
put you I don't want it on my cell phone.
I'm like, no, no, no, I know you don't want
it on your cell phone, but it needs the two factor.
I don't use it on myself. I know you don't.
Just put the damn phone number and the text you
(19:17):
a code, but I don't want it. I'm like, oh my,
I just forget never mind, I won't use it.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
Just I can't imagine. Hey, Froggy, Yeah, mom, what's going on?
So I have nine pictures in front of me. I
have to put my finger on the ones that have
a sailboat in them. Yeah, everytimes have you done that?
You know? We want to find out that you are
who you are. You're a real person. And so okay,
click all the pictures that have a crosswalk in them. Yes,
(19:42):
and you do, and you check you you check your work.
It's accurate and they go, no, oh.
Speaker 7 (19:47):
The capture is it makes me a horrible person.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
I can't Yeah, I can't read the letters. Can you
help me out with these?
Speaker 11 (19:55):
Like?
Speaker 1 (19:55):
Mom, but I can't read?
Speaker 17 (19:57):
But the did looks like an o when the pay
looks like, I'm like, Mom, just figure it out.
Speaker 28 (20:04):
But this is why I hate myself for it though,
because my mom taught me how to use a fork.
She didn't give me crap about it. I didn't know
how to do it. She taught me everything.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
So have patience.
Speaker 28 (20:13):
Yes, she had patients, and I'm trying to have the
same patience with them. It's just very difficult. So then
I get mad at myself, and then I said, quit,
I can't do this.
Speaker 7 (20:21):
You have to find another person to help you.
Speaker 10 (20:23):
Wait till she wants an only fans page absolute.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
What's so scary?
Speaker 30 (20:29):
I just don't like when I text my mom on
I Message and then she says and I said, where's
your response? She goes, oh, I answered you back, but
she answers me back on Instagram DM and then the
next thing, you know, it's Facebook. She's what's apping me,
and we're going back and forth between six platforms. I'm like,
can we keep the conversation one subject at a time
(20:49):

Speaker 1 (20:54):
Here's the thing, you know, I'm sitting here right now
with you know, both of my parents, God rest their soul,
and I remember even when they were alive, trying to
explain to them how to get online to listen to
our show, and I always made it a little more
difficult so they couldn't because I don't want them. I
don't want them to hear this, right, Yeah, for various
reasons and anyway, but yeah, you know what, at least
your parents are still there. Go ahead. Yeah, we're a
little frustrated with him. Call you next time.

Tell Vister Wrenn in the Morning Show.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
All right, Danielle, let's get into the Danielle Report. It's
all you.
Speaker 20 (24:18):
So, mister Beast is opening a theme park in Saudi Arabia.
Speaker 10 (24:22):
It's called Beastland.
Speaker 20 (24:23):
It will be a temporary attraction and it will run
from November thirteenth through December twenty seventh. It will not
be your traditional theme park. It's two different zones, Bastland
and beast Arena. Beastland will have games and food and
merch and rides, and then beast Arena will have custom
games where players can collect daily prizes and compete for
a surprise grand prize. Admission is only seven bucks, but
(24:46):
that's just to get in. Then you have to cover
all your experiences and stuff like that. So if you're
a fan of the Hallmark Channel like i am, and
you love all those Christmas movies, some of the places
that you see are actually real places that you can visit.
The place is where they film and they're like all
cozy settings, right, So let me give you the top three.
So Lagrange, Georgia, it's seen in a perfect Christmas pairing.
(25:09):
Nevada City, California, it's seen in the Christmas Card and Chester, Vermont,
it was actually filmed. It was actually a filming location
for Moonlight and Mistletoe, and it has a historic train
station and Victorian in How cool is that? Thirty artworks
of painter Bob Ross will be auctions starting tomorrow. Proceeds
from the sales well benefit TV stations run by American
(25:31):
Public Television and PBS. The auction is estimated to raise
one and a half million dollars and jelly roll. He
has waited a very long time to perform in Australia
and New Zealand, so for him to miss a show,
it's a big deal. Well, unfortunately Friday night he had
to cancel his New Zealand show. He said, I've done
everything I can. I just can't shake whatever I have.
(25:52):
It breaks my heart. He said that no word on
when or even if a makeup show will happen, but
he says that, you know, obviously he's really upset and
he hopes that his fans will forgive him.
Speaker 10 (26:04):
What are we watching?
Speaker 20 (26:04):
You've got the Packers, the Eagles going at it out
the field tonight, The Voice is on. And also the
series premiere of Fatfam on Amazon. All right, coming up
next hour, we're going to talk about Kim Kardashian. Did
she pass the bar exam hmmm? And also Britney Spears
she's back on Instagram.
Speaker 1 (26:20):
Do you ever find yourself in a situation where in life,
maybe at a disagreement with someone, or someone said something
that really rubbed you the wrong way or whatever whatever,
And then no, okay, that happens at let's say four
o'clock on a Monday afternoon. Then Tuesday morning, it's time
to get up and take a shower, go to work,
and you're still thinking about it, and you're actually having
a conversation in your head about it, like how I
(26:40):
would have how I would have said to me differently.
I would have handled the situation all the time, or
what I should what I should have said, because they
really deserved it night and I went easy on them. Yeah,
and I guess that's ruminating? Is that what that is?
Where you're going over and over and over something sort
of analysis? Yeah, yeah, you're just kind of deep diving
(27:02):
in your head, actually ruminating, thinking deeply about something, but
to go on and on about it.
Speaker 28 (27:09):
I do that in the shower all the time. And
let me tell you, in the shower, I win the
argument every time.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
And I get there so I lose that argument.
Speaker 7 (27:16):
Sometimes you lose in the shower.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
There are well, not only in the shower, but just
getting ready for getting ready for work is when I'm
ruminating the most. Is that about the same for you guys?
And when do you have these conversations in your head
the most?
Speaker 28 (27:29):
When I'm trying to fall asleep at night, yep, and
my line needs to calm down, and it's like, oh,
but remember in nineteen ninety two when somebody said something
horrible to you on the playground.
Speaker 1 (27:38):
And it keeps you up. Same with you, Danielle.
Speaker 10 (27:40):
Yeah, always at night.
Speaker 20 (27:41):
It's like it's like the anxiety sits in at night
and then you start like reliving all these things you
should have done, should have said, Why didn't I do this?
Speaker 1 (27:48):
Thank God, I'm not the same. I start my day
with it. Oh great, and it sets the pace for
when I come in here. Now you can actually talk
yourself into a bad mood. You can talk yourself into
just the worst rank whatever. Yeah, because something in your
head keeps playing over and over and over and you're
allowed to do it to happen. So I was reading
over the weekend like how to stop the ruminating or
(28:09):
whatever you want to call it, and you have to
fight it. You have to start thinking about something else.
You have to quickly go watch a TV show. You
have to take your mind off of it. Maybe singing
the words to a song, you know how a lot
of the song, the videos they have, the lyric videos.
They say, that's the best way to get out of
(28:29):
your head. Really, yeah, because I don't know all the
worst all the songs we plays, but if I can
watch them flash by on the screen while I'm listening
to the artist sing the song, it takes me out
of that stupid circle in my head.
Speaker 10 (28:42):
I'll tell you the best way to do it.
Speaker 20 (28:43):
Have a conversation with my husband, because when I do it,
and I go, well I should have said and I
should have done, he goes, it's too late, it doesn't matter.
Speaker 25 (28:50):
Move on.
Speaker 10 (28:51):
I'm like, oh, yeah, you're right, Okay.
Speaker 1 (28:53):
It moving on isn't always that easy.
Speaker 20 (28:55):
It isn't, but I in his head it is, and
so he helps you get over it. So anytime you guys,
just reach out, he'll help you out.
Speaker 1 (29:01):
Okay, Oh, look at this. Tips on addressing ruminating thoughts.
Distract yourself, calling a friend, doing chores around the house,
watch a movie, draw a picture, read a book, whatever,
Plan to take action, take action, question your thoughts, why
am I thinking this? Readjust your goals. Work on enhancing
(29:21):
your self esteem. They're saying that the triggers, some of
these triggers are dealing with your mental health.
Speaker 5 (29:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:28):
Sure, like repeating things over and over in your head.
Speaker 15 (29:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 20 (29:31):
Here's the problem though, if you like just distract yourself,
like with a song or with whatever, as soon as
it's over, you go back to it, so like it's
like a temporary thing. It's not like, you know, doesn't
totally get it away from you.
Speaker 28 (29:43):
I read that smelling something new and fresh can divert
your brain also, so like a lavender or eucalyptus or
something like that. If you're just really stuck in your head,
sniff some stuff.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
Okay, I just spit on myself.
Speaker 7 (30:00):
Always helps, always distract.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
Being distracted with stuff I snapped. Yes, thank you, Gandhi.
Speaker 30 (30:06):
As silly as this sounds, I call one of my
three positive friends in my life who I know are
always going to be positive and ask him to go
to lunch and then we hang out and.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
Nothing silly about that at all.
Speaker 30 (30:17):
Now I'm getting nourishment, I'm happy about food, and I
could discuss it and then he'll deflect it to something
else that's nice.
Speaker 20 (30:23):
Don't you guys have that one friend that you know
when you call them, they're like the ones who tell
it how it is and they're like, shut up, get
back up, keep on moving, like you got that person.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
Hey, speaking of Danielle, do you guys follow this guy
who the video always starts out on Instagram with the
camera is on the ground and he'll he'll look down
at you and go, He'll pick you up and go, Hey, friend,
He'll look you in the eye. You gotta get out
of this funk, let me help pick you up, and
he talks you out of whatever funk you're in. Oh no, Oh,
(30:56):
he's awesome. I just started following it. And of course
I'm not gonna find him now and.
Speaker 10 (31:01):
Not when you need him. He's not gonna find him out.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
There when I need him. I'm gonna find here he is.
Speaker 7 (31:06):
Oh my god, that's weird.
Speaker 1 (31:07):
Okay, hold on, I'm gonna try to play him hereous.
Speaker 23 (31:11):
In case you've been having one of those days, I
just wanted to drop by and I wanted to remind
you that you are amazing.
Speaker 10 (31:16):
I wanted to remind you that you are enough.
Speaker 1 (31:18):
I wanted to remind you that anything you want to
achieve in.
Speaker 11 (31:21):
This life, man, your wildest dreams, it's all out there
waiting for you.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
So don't let anyone talk you out of that life
man that you know you deserve to be living.
Speaker 23 (31:29):
Get yourself out there, man, and chase it every single
day with everything you've got, right because we're all waiting
to cheer you on.
Speaker 1 (31:37):
God, I love this guy.
Speaker 10 (31:38):
What's the name.
Speaker 1 (31:39):
His name is? Marek Marek m a r e K Guydosh.
I don't know.
Speaker 10 (31:47):
Yes, he's just so nice.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
He's like, hey man, you're okay. We're all here to
catch you. And I never thought, well, he doesn't know me,
I don't know him. How can I sit there and
let a total stranger say things to me? But exactly?
But how is it a total stranger who I don't know,
doesn't know me, can say these things that make me
feel really good? Because he does.
Speaker 15 (32:09):
Yeah, he's following you and the entire show.
Speaker 22 (32:11):
He is.
Speaker 1 (32:12):
Oh my god, we're best friends.
Speaker 7 (32:14):
You know what he looks like.
Speaker 10 (32:15):
He looks a little bit like Sam's husband, like Will.
Speaker 1 (32:18):
Yeah, but it's just it's I mean, well, I'll send
it to time.
Speaker 7 (32:22):
Don't worry about it. I'll figure it out.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
What's that scary?
Speaker 30 (32:24):
We just got a text that said I listened to
your show to get out of rumination.
Speaker 7 (32:31):
Where are the reset?
Speaker 1 (32:32):
But we are a show that ruminates. We go on
and on and on about something like we're doing now, for.
Speaker 7 (32:38):
Instance, where the stuff you sniffy?
Speaker 1 (32:41):
We try to get him on and find it like what,
But every day he has another video where he picks
you up, He lifts you up, he puts you on
a pedestal, makes you feel good.
Speaker 10 (32:50):
It's a savior of the broken, the beaten and the
damned God.
Speaker 1 (32:54):
That's all. That's like four of my ten broken and
beaten and damned.
Speaker 10 (32:59):
It says he's actor though also in the thing.
Speaker 1 (33:01):
Okay, that's fine, not faking it.
Speaker 10 (33:03):
Yeah, that's real matter.
Speaker 1 (33:05):
If Losa is as long as you feel what he's saying,
that's it.
Speaker 31 (33:09):
Waking Up in the Morning, Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 1 (33:14):

(33:36):
mis Duran in the Morning Show. You know, we have
an ongoing problem with Nate and his addiction to sugar. Yeah,
and so as always, we have candy in the room.
So god, he tell everyone what he just did.
Speaker 28 (33:50):
Well before we came on air here Nate was whispering
like a crazy person to himself in the corner.
Speaker 5 (33:57):
I'm sick.
Speaker 7 (33:58):
I had eight pieces. He was looking at us insanely.
Speaker 10 (34:02):
It was not good. I should have never had those eighties.
Speaker 28 (34:06):
Right A little bit so then he gets up and
walks over to the box and starts rummaging for.
Speaker 7 (34:12):
A ninth piece nice chocolate. As he's walking by, said Daniel,
grab that from him. Nate spit it out. Daniel smack
it out of his hand. Smack it out of his hand.
Speaker 1 (34:21):
Danielle, what did you do?
Speaker 10 (34:23):
I didn't do anything because somebody.
Speaker 7 (34:26):
Yelled at us. I did more in the room and Elvis.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
Nate looks like he just did a rail of cocaine. Look,
he's biting his up a little. And you are a
chocolate junkie. I'm a sugar junkie.
Speaker 16 (34:37):
I'm sorry. If I was going over there doing lines
of blow, would you stop me?
Speaker 1 (34:42):
Or just yet? I would take that shot out of
your hand and do it myself. But here's the thing,
he's got to make his own decision.
Speaker 27 (34:52):
You can't.
Speaker 1 (34:52):
You're not gonna be there all the time to slap
it out of his hand.
Speaker 16 (34:55):
I understand that.
Speaker 20 (34:56):
But when we are here and he's already said that
he he has an issue and he should be stopped.
Speaker 10 (35:02):
We were trying to stop him.
Speaker 7 (35:05):
In front of me. No, not on my watch. Next you.
Next time, I'm gonna run over and I'm gonna lick it.
Speaker 1 (35:12):
I would still eat it. You would eat it out
of your mouth.
Speaker 30 (35:18):
That's a big box a candy. And they smell it
smells amazing, the aroma of chocolate, and especially with all
different different kinds of nutclusters.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
He has to want to help himself. And you know
how that works.
Speaker 7 (35:32):
Do you know what he did?
Speaker 28 (35:33):
And this is how you know there's a serious addiction. Yesterday,
when the box arrived, we usually just leave food out,
everybody takes it.
Speaker 7 (35:40):
No, Nate took it and hit it.
Speaker 5 (35:44):
Later.
Speaker 20 (35:44):
And let me tell you. We got that box the
day before. I said to Nate, should we open this
box now?
Speaker 10 (35:51):
Okay?
Speaker 20 (35:51):
He said no, We're gonna keep it for a special occasion. Way,
So I took the box and I put it under
my desk. The next day, apparently a special occasion ended
and why and he says, hey, get the box of
candy out.
Speaker 10 (36:11):
He's like, oh, yeah's special.
Speaker 5 (36:12):
Get that out.
Speaker 32 (36:12):
Get that.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
The special occasion was he fell off the wagon. Exactly,
he's a wagon.
Speaker 16 (36:20):
You look up addiction.
Speaker 15 (36:21):
This is exactly what this is.
Speaker 1 (36:24):
All right, Calm down, Mary, calm down. All right, Well,
let's keep an eye on that. Let's table that. Let's
just keep an eye on it. But I just I'm like,
you know, you know, back when I was really really overweight,
breakfast would arrive and I would pick up the breakfast
for reno and have it up to my lips and
Danielle would say, that's right, do you really want to
eat that?
Speaker 7 (36:43):
You asked us to.
Speaker 10 (36:44):
Do that, so if we I'm just.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
Trying to anyone to do that. I never ever did.
Speaker 7 (36:50):
At one point.
Speaker 10 (36:51):
At one point you said, if you see me, you
know whatever, just try to reel me in. So we
were like, all right, so we would say something and
you'd get mad. I'm like, well, I'm not going to
reel him in anymore. Forget it.
Speaker 7 (37:02):
If you see something, say something, right, unless it's to me.
Speaker 1 (37:05):
I don't know. I disagree with that with her story,
I don't I don't remember asking anyone for help. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah you did anyway, So okay, we got to move on.
There's a reason why a diamond's here other than the
fact we love her. Diamond. Gandhi said that you brought
up this interesting, thought provoking conversation topic.
Speaker 33 (37:25):
Yes, because she an intellectual.
Speaker 1 (37:28):
I love it, by the way, I love it, and
I've actually seen this in action before, but go ahead,
go ahead.
Speaker 33 (37:34):
So my question was because we came in at five
point thirty this morning, Danielle and I are complaining about
our lives, and I just thought to myself, like, would
you rather live the life that we're all living now
where you see how great life is or how great
life could be? You're around people who live extravagant lifestyles
if you don't live that life yourself, And would you
(37:57):
rather live that life where you're seeing that but you
have like a tendency to just complain about like bs,
nothing that really is life altering is going on in
our lives right now, so like we don't really have
much to complain about, but we really fixate on these
mint like little things. Or would you rather live a
life where you're just oblivious to everything. You are around
(38:20):
people who don't make as much, but you're fulfilled and
happy because you just think that this is the way
that life is, even though it's probably really hard for
them or you?
Speaker 1 (38:28):
Whoever?
Speaker 33 (38:30):
Would you rather live that life where you're oblivious to
how hard your life actually is?
Speaker 10 (38:34):
Which one would you rather do?
Speaker 1 (38:35):
Yeah? Option to what I say, scary is already living
a life of oblivion.
Speaker 30 (38:44):
I do walk around aloof that's okay, But why wouldn't
you want the.
Speaker 1 (38:47):
Finer things in life?
Speaker 10 (38:49):
Because you don't know you're missing the finer things.
Speaker 7 (38:52):
We don't need them.
Speaker 1 (38:53):
Okay, Well, so you gave an example, Gandhi, I guess
when you're having this conversation with Diamond about let's say
a tribe living in Africa.
Speaker 28 (39:02):
Yes, right, let's take it to the extremes, right, So
let's say that there is a tribe in Africa and
they spend every day hunting for food, growing their food,
getting their water, only hanging out with each other.
Speaker 7 (39:12):
And that's the life they enjoy.
Speaker 28 (39:13):
They don't know that they're missing out on Gucci, Fundy, Prada,
social media, beer excess, this extravagance that we all live.
Speaker 7 (39:22):
They're happy every day, they're happy. That does seem like
a better life. Yeah, I know what we're doing right now.
Speaker 20 (39:28):
When you look at pictures like you know how some
of these countries they still wear like little loincloth things
and that's all the guys wear and nobody blinks an
eye and that's their life. And like you said, they're
doing all these other things and they don't have no idea.
And I go Wow, I go, even though they're having
a hard life, they may not know it's a hard life,
and that it's just to them this.
Speaker 10 (39:48):
They don't miss those.
Speaker 20 (39:49):
Things, they don't need those things like to feel that
way must be it must.
Speaker 16 (39:53):
Be amazing, right.
Speaker 1 (39:55):
Well, okay, I saw this in action when Alex and
I were in Africa, Tanzania several years ago. Our friend
Vienna said, Hey, there is a tribe here that is
welcoming to visitors, to people who are on safari, and
it actually would you like to go run with them
for the day? He said, it's eye opening. I said yes,
(40:19):
and I wish we could go do this, and we
may do this one day. I've always wanted to take
us all on safari. But listen, so we met up
with this safari. It took three translators to be able
to communicate with them. Wow, because that their language is
so far from hours hours to so far from them.
But they're like, all right, let's go. So yes, there
(40:41):
was long clothage going on. Some of the women were
topless and with heather babies who were you know, breastfeeding
from time to time, and this said, whatever, they don't care.
They don't know what day of the week it is.
They don't care. So our first stop was this big
tree full of killer bees who were making they were
doing their honeycombs in the tree. They went to the tree.
(41:05):
They used this some sort of man made machete thing
to open up the bark. They built a fire using
sticks and they smoked these bees out as best as
they could and grabbed the honeycomb out and that was
their breakfast. And they passed it around and ate it
for breakfast. They shared it with us. One guy, the
guy with the largest, longest blowin cloth, he said he
(41:30):
got stung. He was getting stung by these bees. That
would probably make us call the hospital. Next stop, the
women were foraging for plants and flowers they used that
are medicinal because one of their friends is about to
have a baby and they needed it to cut the pain.
And then we stopped and this one guy, I don't
know where it went, blah blah blah blah, whatever this
was language was. He pulled out a bow and arrow
(41:50):
and boom right into the bushes next to a tree.
He hit a rabbit, killed a rabbit. It wasn't dead yet.
He pulled a rabbit out. He didn't he didn't see
the rabbit. He did because this is what he does
every day. The rabbit wasn't dead, so he put his
teeth around the rabbit's neck and killed it to put
it out of its misery. We then went and built
(42:10):
a big fire, built a fire, and while they were
building the fire, they were getting the rabbit ready to eat.
This was their lunch. Then they burned the fur off
of the rabbit. Then they used this machete thing to
scrape all the fur off. They pulled the meat out.
There was no salt pepper, there was no hot sauce.
And this was their lunch. And this is what they
(42:31):
do every single day.
Speaker 20 (42:33):
My only question with this is if somebody gets really sick,
can they do They don't have access to any of
the medicines and stuff that we have, right.
Speaker 23 (42:40):
They don't want it.
Speaker 30 (42:41):
How is this a better life than findy Gucci product.
Speaker 1 (42:45):
They don't know findy Gucci pro. But they've seen cameras
and phones because they see it in our hands. But
they we asked them if they wanted to play with
they're like no, they're scared of it.
Speaker 15 (42:57):
But the way that you described ways of like.
Speaker 1 (43:04):
Andy, give him the point and diamond. Give him the
point we're trying to talk about here.
Speaker 28 (43:12):
If you don't know what you don't know, how do
you miss it? If they have never tasted salt or
pepper or flick seasoning, they don't miss it. If they're
not constantly worrying about keeping up with other people and
what will they think, how do they miss it? We've
created all these constructs to stress ourselves out, and based
on this conception of society and community that's telling us
(43:32):
what we should be doing. They don't have that. They're
probably happier, they're probably mentally healthier. As far as getting sick.
I have a feeling they don't get the same sicknesses
because they're probably not around the same.
Speaker 20 (43:43):
They do, and they're if they're all just together, they're
not bringing in anything and exercising.
Speaker 7 (43:50):
They're exercising and scary.
Speaker 23 (43:51):
Could never go there to see it in action because
the cell phone wouldn't work and there's no way he
could possibly.
Speaker 1 (43:56):
It does not work. Do you do you miss your children?
I don't have any children exactly, so how can you
ever talk about what it's like having a child and
missing your child? Do you miss your three hundred and
foot three hundred and fifty foot yacht. No, I never
had one. Mean, it's a very stupid way of explaining it.
(44:19):
But you don't miss what you don't have. These people
they don't even know what day of the week is.
They don't need to know. They don't need to know.
Speaker 28 (44:25):
Ignorance really is bliss, and ignorance doesn't have to be
a bad thing. It's just I don't have that thing.
I don't know about that thing, so I don't miss
that thing.
Speaker 15 (44:31):
Huh.
Speaker 7 (44:32):
I've read a quote. It's one of my favorites.
Speaker 28 (44:34):
It says somewhere, some poor phoneless fool is probably sitting
next to a waterfall, totally unaware of how angry and
scared he's supposed to be.
Speaker 1 (44:41):
Yeah, oh wow, I love that's all.
Speaker 28 (44:43):
Yeah, and I think that all the time, Like, yeah, man,
before all of this stuff, people might have been happier.
Speaker 7 (44:48):
It was a simpler time. It's a good thing. Diamond
thought provoker.
Speaker 21 (44:52):
My brother uses his phone to text and make phone calls.
He doesn't have any apps on it. When he was
here couple of weeks ago, he showed me his screen
time seventeen minutes for the day.
Speaker 16 (45:04):
That was it.
Speaker 13 (45:05):
That's amazing.
Speaker 21 (45:06):
That was it, and that was texting his daughters and
texting his wife and making a phone call.
Speaker 20 (45:11):
I tell you, when we're on vacation, sometimes I will
put it on the other side of the room and
not look at it all day.
Speaker 10 (45:19):
I won't turn on the television. I will and.
Speaker 20 (45:21):
Then you don't know, like the news, you know that
you've missed or whatever. And sometimes that feeling is amazing.
It is the best. And then when you turn it
on and you have to catch up, you go, oh gosh,
why did I turn it on?
Speaker 10 (45:34):
You know, it's crazy.
Speaker 22 (45:35):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (45:36):
Yeah again, Diamond, thank you, and Gandhi thanks for telling
us that. Diamond brought that to you.
Speaker 10 (45:42):
Today today.
Speaker 28 (45:47):
Once in a while, time is like did you see
what Teresa did?
Speaker 7 (45:52):
How did it fell in the book?
Speaker 1 (45:56):
And now Gandhi with the news. What's happening right now?
Speaker 5 (45:59):
Oh?
Speaker 28 (45:59):
I know that the shutdown could come to an end
this week, but until then, flight delays continue at the
nation's airports. The number of flights have been cut by
the FAA since Friday due to the shutdown related staffing issues.
On Sunday, more than thirty two hundred flights were canceled
and more than ten thousand delayed. The third day of
flight restrictions. As of Monday morning, more than fourteen hundred
flights have already been canceled with more than seven hundred delays.
(46:21):
Some of the most affected airports are Chicago, Atlanta, and
of course New York. Millions are gearing up for colder
temperatures in the potential for more snow this week. It's
due to an area of low pressure moving down from
Canada and into the eastern part of the country that
started Sunday.
Speaker 7 (46:36):
Cities in the Midwest will see.
Speaker 28 (46:38):
Temperatures in the twenty degree range today and they already
saw snow, while places like Atlanta, Dallas, and Nashville could
see temperatures in the thirties by Tuesday. Record lows are
possible across the southeast. And finally, Target is mandating that
employees smile and make eye contact with any customer that
comes within ten feet. They also have to ask if
they need help or make small talk if they get closed.
(47:00):
The new directive is aimed at approving the customer experience
after declining sales. The company is also planning to remodel
and upgrade stores and those are your three things.
Speaker 1 (47:11):
That is so stupid.
Speaker 31 (47:13):
Elvis Duran in the Morning show See Elvis Duran phone tap.
Speaker 1 (47:18):
Today's phone tap from Garrett. Yes, Hello, Garrett, good morning.
What are you got going on? All right?
Speaker 34 (47:23):
So Rene wants to play a phone tap on her
boyfriend Eric. Now the couple are going away on vacation.
So Renee thought, hey, let's play a phone tap on
my boyfriend hours before we leave on vacation.
Speaker 1 (47:33):
You should never do this, so I'm going to call it.
People get nuts when they travel. You shouldn't mess with
him like this.
Speaker 34 (47:39):
So I'm going to call Eric and say I'm from
the company that he booked the vacation through. And then
Renee is going to come on and things got a
little awkward.
Speaker 1 (47:47):
All right, Let's see what happens.
Speaker 4 (47:50):
Hello.
Speaker 1 (47:51):
Hi, Yes, is there an Eric Nislow available?
Speaker 8 (47:55):
Eric?
Speaker 34 (47:56):
Hi, my name is Patrick. Sayjack, I'm calling from erg.
You have a trip coming up this evening to California?
Is that correct?
Speaker 4 (48:03):
That is correct as we speak now.
Speaker 1 (48:05):
You booked with Craig, correct.
Speaker 4 (48:08):
I don't remember exactly that person's name. Yes. Yeah.
Speaker 34 (48:10):
We had to let Craig go about two weeks ago.
We realized that he was pocketing the money and not
booking the trip, so unfortunately, uh, the trip is non existent.
You never had any airline tickets in the first place.
Speaker 32 (48:24):
That's actually that's impossible because I got email confirmation, I've
got I've got my itinerary.
Speaker 4 (48:29):
Yes all this, No, that's crazy. You guys come out
of puck and take care of that.
Speaker 34 (48:36):
It's kind of like what we like to call a
pyramid scheme where we hired him.
Speaker 4 (48:41):
Right now, any idea what this trip is about? What
this trip means to me?
Speaker 34 (48:45):
Vacation, vacation, I'm sure, and it's supposed to be relaxing vacation.
Speaker 4 (48:50):
Nothing.
Speaker 32 (48:51):
I'm backing up right now. My girlfriend is on her
way to Antwerp right now.
Speaker 4 (48:57):
You haven't to do with this.
Speaker 34 (48:58):
Trip, is well, no, sir, but I can get you
on a flight maybe next week or the week after week.
Speaker 4 (49:06):
Tude. I can't wait a week. I took off one,
I took off time. I can't just go call my
boss and say, well, do you know what's coming in
this week? I take off next. You know it don't
work that way.
Speaker 34 (49:17):
What would it be helpful? Maybe if I call your
boss and explain to him our situation.
Speaker 4 (49:20):
Yeah, right, as helpful as it is. Right now you're
talking to me talking about this non st There's no
there's no way, there's no way stuff like this should happen.
Let's let the news, let's cut the news meet to
take take a picket to your company and see how
long you guys stay.
Speaker 1 (49:35):
I'm ridiculous, sir. What if I get you a luxury car,
maybe for the weekend?
Speaker 4 (49:39):
What's a car gonna do? I'm Philly woman is right
at California. I got a week a week.
Speaker 34 (49:45):
And we forget this, So then that's a know for
for traveling next week then or no to the car.
Speaker 4 (49:50):
That's a no for traveling next week. That's a nolt
A car.
Speaker 32 (49:53):
And then, Yester, you're gonna get me a flight out
today here on the today, right now.
Speaker 4 (49:59):
In fact, you should I had to flight before you
gave me a call, he said, just got two weeks. No,
you should have had this already. Take you care of
right now?
Speaker 22 (50:06):
What I need you to do?
Speaker 4 (50:08):
If I need you a girl? Phone you come out
of pocket before I.
Speaker 1 (50:12):
Did.
Speaker 34 (50:12):
Look up some flights and right now flights to California
are going for about fifteen hundred bucks.
Speaker 1 (50:19):
I don't I don't have that money.
Speaker 34 (50:22):
But if you'd like to pay that, if you'd like
to pay that for your ball, if you would like
to pay that, that.
Speaker 1 (50:26):
Would be you want me to pay.
Speaker 4 (50:28):
I'm gonna payed for this trip. I paid for the
whole trip. I don't write any extra money. Don't give
me to like well, I gotta get there now. Why
are you doing this to me? Yo?
Speaker 34 (50:39):
Eric, my name's Garrett from Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
You just got phone taped by your girlfriend Renee.
Speaker 4 (50:46):
What yeah? What are you serious?
Speaker 1 (50:50):

Speaker 4 (50:52):

Speaker 5 (50:55):

Speaker 31 (51:20):
Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 1 (51:26):
You know, one of the things I love about our
show is it's a two way communication. It's not just
us talking to you. You talk to us. If you
have a question about lack of customer service or things
that we do that you need more of or less of,
we give you a nice segment called let me speak
to the manager. Yeah, all right, so all right, we
(51:46):
got people lighted up like nineteen. Our friend Aaron, Aaron
wishes to speak with the manager. Hello, Aaron, welcome to
let me speak to the manager.
Speaker 15 (51:55):
Hello, Elvis, not to be confused with Karen.
Speaker 6 (51:58):
It is Aaron.
Speaker 7 (52:00):
Oh, speak to the manager.
Speaker 1 (52:05):
Okay, Karen Aaron. All right, Well I can tell this
is going to be a happy call. All right, Aaron,
we are a two way communication source and we need
for you to talk back and tell us what you need.
Speak to the manager.
Speaker 3 (52:21):
Well, when you order something, you get it delivered.
Speaker 1 (52:25):
And what you ordered?
Speaker 27 (52:27):
I ordered a small apparel.
Speaker 22 (52:30):
But I got a large.
Speaker 1 (52:35):
Oh hold on, Scotty Bee's in charge of all all sizes,
and let's go to scotty Bee. Yes, Scotty Bee. Aaron
spoke to the manager and says he ordered a large,
but I mean he ordered a small but got a large.
Speaker 23 (52:47):
What happened about? Okay, that's not that is not good customer.
I'd be happy to send you the correct size, sir.
Speaker 4 (52:57):
You'd be happy. Okay, do you have any small.
Speaker 23 (53:03):
I'll have to check our supply closet, but I'm assuming
if we don't have it, I can get it done
for you.
Speaker 1 (53:08):
But if if I go to Old Navy, they always
go to the back and take a look at it.
Speaker 23 (53:11):
They don't do anything in the back. They stand there
for five seconds and they say, sorry, sir, we don't
have it.
Speaker 1 (53:17):
Oh my god. They large and tell you this is
all we got.
Speaker 23 (53:20):
Yeah, whatever's out?
Speaker 10 (53:21):
Well, you seem a little hour like.
Speaker 23 (53:24):
First of all, I never would have set the wrong size,
So it's not me that mester were corrected.
Speaker 35 (53:28):
Okay, the sending, because that's who I need to talk to,
because apparently you're not the manager.
Speaker 23 (53:34):
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, but who'd you order it from?
Speaker 1 (53:38):
You free apparel?
Speaker 35 (53:42):
From being the first caller of the day.
Speaker 23 (53:44):
Wait a second, Hold on a second.
Speaker 1 (53:46):
Did you say you didn't pay a dime for this?
What does that have to do with it?
Speaker 32 (53:52):
Was free?
Speaker 1 (53:53):
But how do you make it scary your phone?
Speaker 27 (54:01):
You can't?
Speaker 1 (54:02):
Hey, hey, stop it. Everyone's just pull yourself together. Man,
slap across the face. Across the face, now, Aaron, No,
you are in the right here. And he he deserves
a shirt. We gave him one. He gives us his
time every day to listen to our show. The least
we can do is send him not only a shirt,
but the right size shirt. And there's no way to argue.
Speaker 23 (54:22):
Against that way because he used the word order, and
we don't take orders here, so I'm not sure where
you ordered it.
Speaker 16 (54:28):
Hang on, I think I found the the the missing
step in this process.
Speaker 1 (54:33):
Uh huh, Okay, now give me their name, will fire?
Speaker 4 (54:35):
Aaron?
Speaker 1 (54:36):
Who did you give your order to?
Speaker 4 (54:40):
I believe that day it was Diamond.
Speaker 1 (54:46):
No surprises there on the phones that day. Okay, okay, well,
I'm not surprised at any of this. Uh oh, Diamond
just walked in. Let's see, was it Diamond? Diamond? Aaron
thought for a second that you were the one who
said he could get a small shirt and took his information.
But now he's saying it was Garrett, So I don't know.
Speaker 33 (55:09):
Well, well, this wouldn't be the first time, and I
don't think it'll be the last.
Speaker 7 (55:19):
We need Garrett here to defend himself.
Speaker 1 (55:21):
No, no, we don't. Here's what we do need, though, Danielle.
We need to take care of Aaron and just make
sure we get it done correctly. Right now, Oh, here
we go. Well, if you stuck nailing him to a
cross and be nice. He's a customer of ours, go ahead, but.
Speaker 23 (55:36):
He may not be a customer of efurs. That's why
I'm trying to ask him a question. When did this happen?
Speaker 27 (55:44):
COVID air twenty twenty one?
Speaker 2 (55:48):
It was nat.
Speaker 35 (55:52):
Because you happen to be talking about apparels and sizes
and getting up once again.
Speaker 1 (55:58):
Hold on a second. If it was during COVID, the
only people here were Nate and Scary and Scott Okay,
hang on, hang.
Speaker 16 (56:07):
On even sending apparel out Scotty during COVID.
Speaker 23 (56:12):
I don't recall.
Speaker 22 (56:13):
I don't know.
Speaker 23 (56:14):
I really don't remember.
Speaker 35 (56:15):
Don't think you shouldn't have any Elvis Durant apparel. All
you had was scrubs.
Speaker 1 (56:20):
Okay, story, Hold you went from shirts to scrub Well,
you said shirt. Now you're saying scrubs a four year
old land Okay, Wait, he won a shirt, but we
gave him scrubs.
Speaker 16 (56:36):
Okay, we probably had nothing left to give. I'm so
glad we were able to get to the bottom of this.
Speaker 23 (56:41):
Yeah, we give so you.
Speaker 4 (56:43):
Sent me scrubs.
Speaker 1 (56:44):
But that's not what I was told.
Speaker 23 (56:46):
I have audio of this, sir, audio, I'm asking, is
there audio erin.
Speaker 16 (56:53):
Did you record it.
Speaker 4 (56:53):
On your end?
Speaker 14 (56:54):
Probably not online?
Speaker 1 (56:56):
Yeah, if if you were on the air, we have
a recording of you. Some we don't know the date.
We're not going to look for it. I say, it's simple.
Just go find a small shirt and send it to him.
Speaker 23 (57:04):
Happy to do her done, happy to know.
Speaker 1 (57:06):
No you're not. You sound miserable.
Speaker 23 (57:07):
No, no, I will, and you know what, I'll overnight it.
You will have it tomorrow. Yes, we have smalls.
Speaker 1 (57:13):
Do they have our logo on them? Or is this
some like TV station?
Speaker 23 (57:15):
Our logos on it. It's a small logo, but our
logos on it. Okay, we have a logo shirt.
Speaker 1 (57:19):
It's small. Ever, gonna send it to you.
Speaker 7 (57:21):
But had so many twists and turns.
Speaker 1 (57:25):
The problem, gandhi everyone is this We were not demonstrating good,
solid customer service at all. First of all, Scotty's yelling
at him. Garrett now wants an apology from all of
us because we said he's inept on taking orders. He
wasn't even here that day. We really crept on a
lot of people here, Daddy, including our listener, Aaron. Aaron,
you deserve better, and I'm the only one coming to
(57:45):
your defense.
Speaker 16 (57:46):
We learn that you pick up a lot of crap elvis, so.
Speaker 23 (57:49):
That's what they always do. Oh I know, can I
just ha something? If I ordered something and it came
in wrong, I would call that day.
Speaker 22 (57:55):
Are you.
Speaker 34 (57:57):
There during COVID we were were here, you called it
to wink, could have emailed us to be fair, To be.
Speaker 1 (58:04):
Fair, people still get COVID from here and there and
some time to time. So COVID is not over, but
it is. I'll tell you what. Let's just get the
shirt all the way right now. Yes, but we could
have done that in the beginning. We could have said, yes, Aaron,
shirt on the way right, guys, am I right?
Speaker 23 (58:19):
Aeron, Hold on a second, would you like it ruin
scotty jacket?
Speaker 1 (58:26):
Well that'll take two months. Sorry, Aaron, I'm sorry. Okay,
We're gonna put you on hold and put you through
to Diamond. Remember it's Diamond taking over from this point forward. Okay, damn,
I'm recording this conversation as you should. I would be
doing that too. Away, very smart. Hold On will say
you all right, we have someone else who is on
(58:49):
the line.
Speaker 16 (58:49):
We have another one.
Speaker 1 (58:50):
Uh steph daf sorry Line eighteen. I'm afraid to pick
this up. Hello, Steph, Hi, Hi, good morning, Hello lady, Well,
good morning, welcome, hello lady, welcome to let me speak
to the manager. We're having a great day on the
segment we just got. We just got yelled at on
the other line because of bad customer service. Now, what
can we do to help you? I hope it's a
(59:11):
I hope it's easy to fix. What's the problem.
Speaker 6 (59:13):
So it's going to be amazing. So I think that
Nate should do more of a horoscope.
Speaker 36 (59:18):
I love when he does it.
Speaker 6 (59:22):
His enthusiasm is awesome.
Speaker 16 (59:24):
Thank you.
Speaker 6 (59:25):
And yes he is a murderer, but I think he
still deserves that right, not a murderer, but.
Speaker 16 (59:30):
A fantastic horoscope provider.
Speaker 1 (59:32):
Well well okay, but you know I'm but we have
to remember this is good, positive customer service. So first
of all, I want to thank you for listening to
a step and you are taking the time out to
call and say, hey, you want more Nate. But it's
not going to happen.
Speaker 6 (59:49):
But I feel like he's misunderstood.
Speaker 1 (59:52):
Oh no, he's very well understood. That's my point. Do
you guys really, do you guys want to hear more
Nate doing horoscopes. I can't sell kid.
Speaker 6 (01:00:00):
No, no, I think he does a great job.
Speaker 22 (01:00:03):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (01:00:04):
Wait, she is, she's a customer.
Speaker 7 (01:00:07):
She did not see that.
Speaker 28 (01:00:07):
When she requested it, Nate standed up and gave himself
a standing ovation.
Speaker 1 (01:00:12):
He did, but see the stars.
Speaker 5 (01:00:15):
I expect that from him, though.
Speaker 16 (01:00:17):
The stars need some emphasis, and that's what I provide.
Thank you very much, Steph.
Speaker 6 (01:00:22):
I can't wait till you're very welcome.
Speaker 1 (01:00:24):
I will take this a step further. What if, and
nothing could be better than this? What if we just
had Nate call you every morning and personally gave you
your horoscope?
Speaker 7 (01:00:33):
And wow, that'd be good.
Speaker 1 (01:00:35):
Oh, that would be awesome, had a fantastic idea of
it is and we never have to hear him on
the air ever.
Speaker 10 (01:00:39):
He is a great customer, starve.
Speaker 6 (01:00:42):
So I think that's even better.
Speaker 1 (01:00:44):
Steph.
Speaker 16 (01:00:44):
I don't know if you're old enough you remember this.
Nine hundred numbers? What if I just recorded them every
day at a nine hundred number and you had to call.
Speaker 1 (01:00:51):
And pay to hear me do the.
Speaker 6 (01:00:54):
I mean, yeah, that sounds fun, but now that's too
much fun for me.
Speaker 1 (01:00:59):
Yeah, nine hundred numbers, that's a long time ago. When
they stopped doing those, right, Yeah, probably by the minute. Yeah,
are over? I like it once again? He said, you're
probably old enough to remember this.
Speaker 26 (01:01:10):
He did do that.
Speaker 1 (01:01:13):
Okay, anyway, thank you for calling. Let me speak to
the manager. We need to get back to you on
this one.
Speaker 6 (01:01:18):
Yeah, at least think about it, because now I'll be
calling back again.
Speaker 9 (01:01:23):
All right.
Speaker 14 (01:01:23):
I know. I love you guys so much.
Speaker 6 (01:01:27):
You guys are amazing. But maybe more enthusiasm during the horoscopes.
Speaker 15 (01:01:33):
Thank you for the flowers.
Speaker 1 (01:01:35):
Okay, okay, maybe maybe we'll up the rotation. It's up
to producer Sam. She's in charge of horse coping.
Speaker 6 (01:01:42):
Can we every sounds super excited?
Speaker 1 (01:01:46):
I cannot give you that. I'm sorry.
Speaker 16 (01:01:49):
Anyway.
Speaker 1 (01:01:50):
Thank you, I know, but we love you, Steff. Thank
you for listening to us.
Speaker 6 (01:02:00):
Oh I love you guys too. You guys have yourselves
a great day.
Speaker 1 (01:02:03):
You too, Okay? Bye bye? All right, all right, so
thank you for listening to let me speak to the manager.
Speaker 23 (01:02:10):
I loved it.
Speaker 15 (01:02:11):
It was right a fine, fine.
Speaker 9 (01:02:16):
Time.
Speaker 31 (01:02:17):
The Mercedes Benz Interview Lounge with EJ from K Pop
Demon Hunters.
Speaker 14 (01:02:24):
I've been kind of told during my k FOP training
days that my voice is too like old sounding what.
Speaker 1 (01:02:29):
Oh stop it. By the way, a little unknown fact
about EJ. She is seventy eight years old. Despite wintry
conditions and heavy traffic, the holidays have to go on.

Speaker 5 (01:02:51):
Mister Ran in the Morning Show, the home.
Speaker 1 (01:02:53):
You've worked so hard for is ready to work hard

Speaker 23 (01:03:03):

Speaker 1 (01:03:10):
All right, Danielle, let's get into the Danielle Report. It's
all you, Danielle. What's going on?
Speaker 20 (01:03:16):
So he talked about the Grammy Awards and who's nominated?
What about nomination surprises? Well, apparently they passed over a
few of the most popular artists. Alex Warren received a
nomination Best New Artist, However, his hit song of the
Summer Ordinary was not nominated. Benson Boone did not receive
a nomination, nor did Lord and a sportscar By Tate
McCray was shut out.
Speaker 10 (01:03:37):
But Just Keep Watching from the Brad Pitt movie.
Speaker 20 (01:03:39):
F one soundtrack was nominated for Best Dance Pop Recording.
Mister Beast is opening a theme park in Saudia, Arabia.
It's called Beastland, but it will be a temporary attraction.
It will run from November thirteenth through December twenty seventh.
It's not your traditional theme park though, it's two different zones,
Beastland and beast Arena. Soland will have games and food
(01:04:02):
and merch and rides, and then beast Arena we'll have
custom games where players can collect daily prizes and compete
for a surprise grand prize. No admission, not too bad,
seven blocks, but that's just to get in because then
you have to experience, you know, you have to cover
all your experiences and the rides and the games and
all that other stuff. So there was a rumor over
the weekend that Ditty was caught drinking in prison, So
(01:04:24):
Diddy's family tweeted a denial of that TMZ report. Apparently
they were saying that he had made a homemade cocktail
from fermented apples mixed with sugar and the orange flavored
soft drink Fanta. His family is saying that did not happen.
All right, you guys love hot Wings, right, well, guess
what we're getting? A spin off called Hot Ones Wing
(01:04:46):
Pong and A debuts on Wednesday. The concept two teams
face off, with each team's cups hiding a mystery wing
and a custom written question. When a cup is sunk,
players must decide whether to answer the revealing question or
take gone the mystery wing. And of course the heat
levels go from mild to merciless. That's going to be crazy.
(01:05:06):
He cannot wait for that. And Jelly Roll our Boys
waited years to bring his concert and his music to
Australia and New Zealand, and unfortunately he had to cancel
on Friday night, not feeling great, said, I can't shake it.
It breaks my heart. I've probably missed three shows in
the last decade. I pride myself on showing up no
matter what. Just couldn't do it this time. Please forgive
(01:05:27):
me no word on when or even if a makeup
show will happen, so I'll keep you posted.
Speaker 7 (01:05:31):
And what do we got going on the field?
Speaker 20 (01:05:33):
The Packers and the Eagles are going at it tonight.
You've got the Voice and also the serious premiere of
batfam over on Amazon.
Speaker 1 (01:05:40):
Love It talking on the show about people who give
up the thought of a massive wedding with all the
family and all the friends and all the money spent,
and just like go to the courthouse and get married,
or maybe run away to another state just to get
away from everyone and just get married with the one
you love. I got Amanda from Akron. So, Amanda, is
(01:06:02):
this you? Is this really you? Amanda? Yes, Amanda's getting
married in secret and then running away to Tennessee. Are
you getting married in Tennessee or you're running away to
Tennessee after you get married in secret? Tell us everything both.
Speaker 3 (01:06:17):
I'm running the way to Tennessee to get married.
Speaker 1 (01:06:21):
Wow, Now why have you decided to oh do it?
Speaker 11 (01:06:25):
So?
Speaker 1 (01:06:25):
Why have you decided to do this rather than, you know,
inviting everyone to the wedding and the big hoopla.
Speaker 3 (01:06:31):
Honestly, so the whole process of this whole thing has been, honestly,
so much easier listening to you guys for.
Speaker 27 (01:06:42):
Oh thank you, you guys are wonderful, Oh thank you.
Speaker 23 (01:06:45):
You're welcome.
Speaker 3 (01:06:49):
So I got divorce recently. I know this sounds crazy, Okay,
I got divorce a year ago. The guy that I'm
married was my high school crush. Twenty two years later,
here we are getting married.
Speaker 1 (01:07:05):
You know, you hear the story every once in a
while people got married to someone, they divorced them, and
they end up going back to someone they knew a
thousand years ago. And I think that's awesome. That's a
great story, a full circle story.
Speaker 3 (01:07:18):
It really is. But so the kicker is who I
was married. I was married to a female prior to
all of this. We were together for seven years, and
it was a very controlling relationship, like very narcissistic. I
actually I've been on air with you guys quite a
few times. I actually won a cruise with you guys,
and I wasn't allowed to take that cruise.
Speaker 1 (01:07:42):
What wow, Yeah, because she was toxic and controlling.
Speaker 3 (01:07:48):
Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (01:07:49):
Oh god, well goodbye. But now you're getting married. Yeah,
but why did you have this on the down low?
Speaker 5 (01:07:57):
It's just.
Speaker 3 (01:07:59):
Keep probably have let to think about the scon that
I'm getting married a year after I got divorced.
Speaker 1 (01:08:08):
There's nothing wrong with that. But you don't think there's
anyone in your circle that's happy for you, that would
love to celebrate with you.
Speaker 3 (01:08:15):
I mean there is like my mom knows, his mom knows,
Like it's just the rest of everyone that we know
don't doesn't really know.
Speaker 1 (01:08:26):
Okay that you know, that's your business. It's your decision.
I always hate when people decide to get get married
and have a big wedding and they are so so
careful in considering everyone else's feelings before their own.
Speaker 4 (01:08:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:08:41):
I mean, I understand the importance maybe having parents there,
especially if they're paying for it, But you know what
I'm saying, it's just like, it's your decision. Gandhi, what
do you think?
Speaker 7 (01:08:49):
I have so many questions?
Speaker 28 (01:08:50):
Okay, so what is the reason that you are doing
it exactly a year after you got Is there like significance.
Speaker 5 (01:08:58):
To you in that?
Speaker 3 (01:09:00):
So we have kids, and my daughter has never had
her did in her life, and this is the first
healthy relationship that I've been in. And she looks up
to him. She's fifteen, and she looks up to him
like a dad. And she actually proposed to him and
asked him to adopt her. And he said absolutely.
Speaker 1 (01:09:24):
Oh my god, what a lovely story.
Speaker 3 (01:09:28):
Yeah, so I don't know if it's across the board,
but in Ohio you have to be married for six
months before you can do an adoption process.
Speaker 15 (01:09:37):
Okay.
Speaker 28 (01:09:38):
My other question was going to be, do you think, like,
what is a time frame for you that you think
you'll be comfortable telling people or will there ever be
a time you're comfortable telling people?
Speaker 3 (01:09:48):
Girl? Literally, as soon as it happens, then we're going
to be like, hey.
Speaker 7 (01:09:53):
So you just don't want people to try to talk
you out of it.
Speaker 3 (01:09:55):
Yeah, not only that, but they don't want to hear
any kind of negative feedby I guess you know, we're
super comfortable. I mean, I'm in my mid thirties, he
as well. We're just we've stayed friends since high school.
We've always kept in touch. It was either I was
(01:10:15):
in a relationship and he was single or vice versa.
It was never the right time, and it's finally the
right time for us. And I don't really want to
hear any kind of negative feedback from anyone to discourage that.
Speaker 7 (01:10:26):
I get that good.
Speaker 1 (01:10:27):
I mean, it's so easy to go.
Speaker 3 (01:10:28):
I want to say, Gandhi, this is my first time
being on air and actually being able to speak with you.
Speaker 4 (01:10:33):
I'm so excited.
Speaker 10 (01:10:34):
Oh I love you, Thank you for calling.
Speaker 22 (01:10:37):
Yes, I love you too.
Speaker 1 (01:10:39):
You should marry Gandhi.
Speaker 10 (01:10:41):
Oh yeah, he doesn't want to get it.
Speaker 3 (01:10:44):
I am from Ohio.
Speaker 1 (01:10:45):
She's not the marrying time now. It's so easy to
give advice to people like like like you, Amanda, Like, well,
you know, who cares what people say? You know, there's
nothing wrong with like not giving them an opportunity to
say anything. I love the way you're doing this is like,
screw them. It's not about them. It's about you in
your happiness.
Speaker 3 (01:11:04):
Absolutely, I mean honestly, I feel like being in my thirties,
it's a little different. Like I don't want to spend
all of my money on this big, lavish wedding. I
want to go and make memories. I want to have
a small wedding and then go and have a good
time while we're in Gatlinburg and get pictures and make memories.
Because that's really, honestly, what it's all about. It's not
(01:11:25):
about the thousands of dollars I spend on everyone to look.
Speaker 1 (01:11:28):
At me, I agree, What about you, Daniel, what are
you thinking?
Speaker 20 (01:11:31):
I think that it's what she wants to do and
she's in love and she didn't care what anybody else thinks.
I think that, you know, and especially if she thinks
it's a really good thing for her child, because you know,
she said, you know, coming out of a crappy situation,
this is an amazing situation. And the fact that your
daughter is the one that proposed and said adopt me.
I feel like kids also know things, like they have
(01:11:53):
little inklings into things, and I think she knows who's
a good person and who's not.
Speaker 1 (01:11:57):
You know, it is a great story. I'm glad you
shared that with us, by the.
Speaker 3 (01:12:00):
Way, and yeah, yes, and you guys, honestly, you guys
have helped me so much, Like when I was in
the marriage that I was in prior and listening to
you guys in the morning, it helped me so much
because there would be so days some days I was
like I can't do this, like I'm just don't even
feel like going to work. I just feel like sleeping
(01:12:21):
all day doing nothing, like I'm just miserable. And I've
listened to you guys, and you guys were your phone taps,
like I just love everything. And and when you guys hurt,
I hurt, like it's I'm very empathetic, So I just
you guys are like family. And like I said, I've
been on air a few different times, like I've won
the phone taps and played match game, I won the cruise,
(01:12:42):
I did the Brooklyn bedding, I.
Speaker 6 (01:12:45):
Went to bed and.
Speaker 3 (01:12:48):
I've been on air with you guys a ton of times.
Speaker 1 (01:12:52):
Wow, you've been here more than we've been here.
Speaker 3 (01:12:56):
I literally love you guys so much.
Speaker 1 (01:12:59):
Well, thank you. You got to have questions, Cary, Yeah.
Speaker 15 (01:13:01):
I just want to know what's it like from going
from being with a woman to being with a guy.
Speaker 3 (01:13:07):
Do me I can answer that. I mean, it's just
it's not I was with a man before. Obviously I
have kids, and then I was always interested in females.
Speaker 6 (01:13:22):
I thought, you know, well we'll just see.
Speaker 3 (01:13:24):
I had a you know, some health complications, ended up
having to have a hysterectomy, and I was like, well,
I can't have any more kids. I'm just going to
explore my options. And I found her and we got
married and it did not work out, and I was
stuck for about seven years.
Speaker 22 (01:13:41):
And I did.
Speaker 3 (01:13:44):
Literally January second, right after New Year's It was literally
a new year last year for me.
Speaker 1 (01:13:50):
Wow, And my daughter. Good for you, you know what
you've made that decision, you know, and don't don't ever
look at it like, oh, seven years of my life wasted. No,
it was all necessary to get you on this journey
that you're doing. For whatever reason, the universe wanted you
there in that relationship. But now look where you are now.
Good for you. We're happy for you, Amanda, Good for
you and your family.
Speaker 3 (01:14:10):
Yes, thank you so much, I mean, and we're counting down,
getting close, all.
Speaker 7 (01:14:14):
Right, exciting, congratulations.
Speaker 1 (01:14:17):
You know, sometimes you can live happily ever after.
Speaker 22 (01:14:20):
Go do it.
Speaker 1 (01:14:20):
And thanks for listening to us, Amanda. We're very happy.
Speaker 3 (01:14:23):
Thank you guys so much.
Speaker 1 (01:14:24):
Have a beautiful day today. So much happening today. Let's
get into the latest news from Kandi. What's going on.
Speaker 28 (01:14:30):
The investigation continues today into the fiery crash of a
UPS cargo jet in Louisville almost a week ago. The
confirmed death toll remains at fourteen. The plane's left wing
caught fire and the engine came off before it crashed
while attempting to leave Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport last Tuesday.
The resulting fireball destroyed a number of nearby businesses. The
FAA has ordered the inspection of all McDonell Douglas MD
(01:14:53):
eleven cargo planes, just like the one that went down
in Louisville. A tentative agreement it was reached in the
Senate Sunday to reopen the government and would restore food assistants.
Funding funds for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, also known
as SNAP, have been in limbo and at the center
of a legal battle. If the new deal is approved,
SNAP would be funded through next September at higher levels.
(01:15:15):
Funding laps for the program at the beginning of November
for the first time in its sixty year history.
Speaker 7 (01:15:20):
As the shutdown has dragged.
Speaker 28 (01:15:21):
On, and finally, YouTube is starting to issue twenty dollars
credits to YouTube TV customers who still.
Speaker 7 (01:15:27):
Don't have access to Disney owned channels. The two companies have.
Speaker 28 (01:15:30):
Been unable thus far to reach a deal that would
continue to let YouTube TV customers see channels like ESPN,
ABC and others. Both sides have been in talks since
the channels were pulled October thirtieth. The credits start going
out today if no deal is reached. And those are
your three things.
Speaker 31 (01:15:47):
Hello Yeah, Hello, el Vista ran in the morning show.
Speaker 1 (01:15:53):
The home You've worked so hard for is ready to
work hard for you with a home equity loan from
Rocket Mortgage. To learn how you can turn your home
equity into cash, visit Rocket mortgage dot com today. Rocket
Mortgage LLC licensed in fifty states and MLS Consumer Access
dot Org number thirty thirty. So, I don't know if
(01:16:15):
you remember, we had a conversation about people who've listen
listened to us for the fifteen twenty years, and I'm wondering, well,
is anyone new? And then we've put the call out
there and we had lots of text and calls from
people who have just started listening to our show. Thank god,
we've got new Meatah, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (01:16:31):
Meat.
Speaker 1 (01:16:32):
So let's roll back into that. Let's talk to Nicole
from Cincinnati. She's been listening for about a year and
a half. A year and a half with us. Nicole,
That's that's a long time in dog years.
Speaker 2 (01:16:45):
That's a very long time in dog years. And I
made it through the six months pump and I'm still here.
Speaker 4 (01:16:50):
Oh wow.
Speaker 1 (01:16:51):
Because we always say it takes six months and then
we'll run you away or you'll stay. So you stayed,
and we appreciate that. Son. Coole loves our She wants
to get some answers, though you have questions.
Speaker 2 (01:17:05):
Well, I do have questions. I have a very important question.
Speaker 3 (01:17:11):
I have a very important question that.
Speaker 2 (01:17:12):
I think a lot of us newbies need to know,
and that is where does Hella Lady come from?
Speaker 22 (01:17:19):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:17:21):
I'm glad you asked that, because we have to stop
assuming people have been listening for years and years and
know what hello Lady means. So we've got to remind
everyone from time to time, and thanks to Nicole, we're
going to do it. So we used to have a
friend of ours. His name was Uncle Johnny. He is
no one's uncle, but he's everyone's uncle. You know the
type of uncle I'm talking about, right?
Speaker 22 (01:17:41):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:17:41):
Yes, Yeah, he's an old Well, he was an old,
old friend and he worked in the gay bars in
New York City for years and years since nineteen sixties.
He's met almost every celebrity that has come and gone
over the last fifteen thousand decades. And he's just a
storied guy. How else did we explain Uncle Johnny who
(01:18:02):
wants to tackle that he's.
Speaker 7 (01:18:04):
Like living history. Yeah, well, He was like living.
Speaker 16 (01:18:07):
History and like a human Muppet.
Speaker 30 (01:18:12):
Character, but almost like a forest dump in that he
got to experience life to the fullest.
Speaker 1 (01:18:17):
Oh yeah, but not dow And obviously you're catching all
that he's no longer with us alive. Anyway, he would
come in and make drinks for us and he would
screw it up and he would turn on the blender
and shoot cocktails at the ceiling and it was just.
Speaker 10 (01:18:31):
He wass in the blender, that dirty.
Speaker 1 (01:18:33):
Fingers in the blending. He was just a fun guy.
We loved Uncle Johnny and my husband and Alex and I.
We would travel the world with him and he would
stay with us and we just had a lot of
fun with Uncle Johnny. Well, he used to say hallow lady.
Anytime someone would try to cut us off in traffic.
He would scream at the driver in front of us, hallylady,
or if anyone said something rude, he'd go Holloa lady.
He just became part of our vernacular, right, I mean
(01:18:55):
we use all of lady time really for the show. Yeah, yeah,
so we still say hello lady. We still have recordings
of him on our show saying hello lady. Uncle Johnny
passed away. God when was that?
Speaker 21 (01:19:08):
That's maybe the third of twenty twenty four.
Speaker 1 (01:19:13):
He was our good friend. But he lives on. He
lives on, Hello lady, So there you go. That's hello lady.
I wish you would have known him.
Speaker 3 (01:19:20):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (01:19:21):
Yeah, Kott, I did get to hear some clippings and
a lot of talk of Uncle Johnny, so I kind
of thought it had something to do with him, but
wasn't too certain.
Speaker 3 (01:19:31):
So thank you.
Speaker 1 (01:19:32):
Well, you know, and again I'm glad that you brought
this up because we need to be better at re
explaining and reintroducing who he is. Even though he's no
longer with us. He really truly never leaves. That's just
Uncle Johnny. All right, So what else do you want
to know?
Speaker 3 (01:19:47):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (01:19:48):
Another question I have is I know that the show
has its birthday coming up. So who all has been
there for the long haul? Or when did folks start
coming in?
Speaker 1 (01:20:03):
Wow? Okay, it's a long history. So I was hosting
the Morning Show, co hosting the Morning Show twenty nine
years ago when we started it, and Danielle was in turn, no,
you were working here?
Speaker 10 (01:20:16):
I was working, Yah, Yeah, I was working.
Speaker 1 (01:20:18):
And then in Scottie b who works in master control.
He was here working at our station, and Scary was
here too, in answering phones things like that, and for
some reason, they're still here. I'm still here.
Speaker 15 (01:20:32):
You're not going to shake us off as sorry.
Speaker 1 (01:20:34):
They never left. And let's see who came on next.
What's the chronological order of arrival at point?
Speaker 15 (01:20:40):
Then it was Froggy.
Speaker 1 (01:20:41):
Yeah, Froggy right, who works in Florida. And you're wondering
how that works. Yeah, he's in Jacksonville. You know, he
used to work at Y one hundred in Miami where
we took over the morning show. Then he moved to
Jacksonville and now we're on there. But he's always has
been a part of the part of the family. We
just don't want him to ever leave us, or maybe
he's contractually bound to Froggy.
Speaker 15 (01:21:06):
And then you have Garrett and Sam.
Speaker 1 (01:21:10):
Right, and then Coast Boyd. Josh came in, Josh and
then Nate.
Speaker 7 (01:21:16):
Nate was before Josh Coat who came first, Natter Josh.
Speaker 15 (01:21:19):
Nate, Josh, Josh Josh two thousand and seven.
Speaker 13 (01:21:22):
Then he came from Cleveland, and then Sam Andrew and
then me I think, yeah, right, Andrew used to be
at my assistant, but he couldn't really master that, so
we promoted him.
Speaker 1 (01:21:34):
We promoted him.
Speaker 7 (01:21:37):
That's a good way to treat somebody who can't do
their first job.
Speaker 1 (01:21:40):
And then and then and then Diamond, Yeah, and Deanna
and I mean, we have a lot of people working here.
So that's it all started with Danielle, Scary, Scotty and me.
Speaker 2 (01:21:52):
I love it.
Speaker 14 (01:21:52):
That's awesome.
Speaker 27 (01:21:54):
Hmmmm.
Speaker 1 (01:21:55):
And and now you were also wondering about Froggy working
from Florida. He also now is the afternoon guy and
program director of our sister station, which is a country
station in Jacksonville. So he continues to be a part
of our show. I don't know where he is now.
He just ran out of the room. He should be
here anyway, sometimes a part of our show. Any other
(01:22:16):
questions you're asking great questions?
Speaker 2 (01:22:19):
Not I don't think not nothing I can think of anymore.
Speaker 1 (01:22:22):
Yeah, I have one, I think, Oh wow, Okay, okay.
Speaker 21 (01:22:28):
So the whole the thing you guys do, or we do,
because I've just started doing it like some sort of
you know, cult member.
Speaker 16 (01:22:37):
The Piscataway thing.
Speaker 1 (01:22:39):
Which way is piscat Scataway?
Speaker 16 (01:22:42):
Is that a way was that just like, Oh, it
rhymes I'm just gonna do it.
Speaker 1 (01:22:48):
That's an old New York phrase.
Speaker 23 (01:22:50):
It because I want it that way from the Backstreet Boys. Yeah,
that's how it was a parody song. It was piscataway
Is that a Way? That's where that came.
Speaker 1 (01:23:00):
But actually, piscataway is that a way? Is an old
old phrase. It's been around much longer than the Backstreet Boys,
hasn't it. Yes, I heard that when I was a kid,
like vaudeville slapstick, people would say, Scottaway, is that a way?
Speaker 20 (01:23:14):
And piscataway is in New Jersey nicologies In case you
were wondering.
Speaker 2 (01:23:18):
Where it was, I I had no idea.
Speaker 21 (01:23:21):
And then the other question I have is the John
Denver Thank God I'm a country boy because Gandhi. I mean,
I love that song. I've always loved that song. But
where did that come from? You just start playing it
and everybody sings along and everybody feels so good.
Speaker 10 (01:23:36):
We just started playing songs and then we just kind
of kept playing them.
Speaker 1 (01:23:40):
That's where it's just some song that we wouldn't play
it otherwise you won't hear that anywhere else. It's an exclusive.
Speaker 30 (01:23:46):
I feel like in the beginning of the show, we
used to always start with something really outrageous and out
of the sield, so that song was in rotation.
Speaker 32 (01:23:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:23:55):
I had not heard that.
Speaker 28 (01:23:56):
Until I came here, and then everyone was singing along
and I thought, I am an alien.
Speaker 4 (01:24:03):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (01:24:03):
Yeah, We've got a lot of weird stuff going on here.
Some of it can be explained, some of it not.
So there you go. So that's it. That's all there is.
Speaker 29 (01:24:12):
Oh.
Speaker 7 (01:24:12):
Can I ask her one question?
Speaker 11 (01:24:14):
Oh?
Speaker 28 (01:24:14):
Sure, Okay, as a new listener, what's your favorite part?
What do you like that we're doing that we could
do more for you?
Speaker 11 (01:24:21):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (01:24:22):
I just love the banter.
Speaker 2 (01:24:24):
It's my favorite. I get. I'm like, they're putting a
song on. No go back, keep talking.
Speaker 1 (01:24:30):
Banter, Like what are we bantering about? Just we really
don't land on a lot of solid things. We just
kind of move around quickly, right, Yeah we do.
Speaker 7 (01:24:40):
There's a lot of bubbles.
Speaker 2 (01:24:41):
Yeah, you're well, yeah about going off on tangents when
I mean, we're like squirrel and then we're on to
the next thing.
Speaker 22 (01:24:52):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (01:24:54):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (01:24:55):
Listen. I'm glad you called in a good reminder that
you know we were getting new listeners all the time.
And if we have these old inside jokes where they
seem like inside jokes, we need to make sure everyone
knows what they mean. So we got a lot of
work ahead of us. Thanks to you, Nicole. I appreciate
it very much.
Speaker 2 (01:25:10):
Oh no, thank you guys.
Speaker 3 (01:25:11):
You guys are the best.
Speaker 2 (01:25:11):
I loved you so much. Even though I'm new, you
make my days.
Speaker 1 (01:25:17):
Year and a half's a long time for this mess.
So you're you're doing okay? Thank you here for Nicole. Hey,
how many of us still have grandparents that are alive? Anyone?
Speaker 4 (01:25:30):
No?
Speaker 7 (01:25:30):
No, lucky if you do?
Speaker 33 (01:25:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 22 (01:25:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:25:33):
Wait wait, hold on, Diamond does Diamond? Yeah? Yeah, you
have grandparents that are still around?
Speaker 5 (01:25:39):
I sure do.
Speaker 7 (01:25:40):
She lives with her grandma, right, yep?
Speaker 1 (01:25:42):
Yeah, so a good thing she's alive. Yeah, do you
live with her? Has she taught you anything? What did
you learn from your grandmother? I was thinking about this
last night.
Speaker 10 (01:25:54):
She's taught me a lot.
Speaker 5 (01:25:56):
Honestly. The main thing is to just do you.
Speaker 15 (01:25:59):
That's her.
Speaker 33 (01:25:59):
That's her slogan.
Speaker 5 (01:26:01):
Do you do what you want.
Speaker 1 (01:26:03):
That's good.
Speaker 33 (01:26:04):
If you don't want to do something, don't let anyone
talk you into doing something. That you don't want to
do like. She's very much like stuck in her ways
and it annoys me.
Speaker 34 (01:26:13):
But I like it.
Speaker 1 (01:26:14):
Wh I know, But that's the same thing that annoys
us about you. Ah, hey, no, I'm kidding. No, But
what is there something she taught you like to do?
A thing?
Speaker 5 (01:26:23):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:26:23):
Yeah, from her past she taught you. She passed it
down to you.
Speaker 33 (01:26:26):
Oh like cooking, like what listen, she knows how to
make pancakes. And by she, I mean me because she
taught me how to make these. There you speak, golden pancakes.
Speaker 23 (01:26:36):
There you go.
Speaker 10 (01:26:36):
What's a secret.
Speaker 1 (01:26:38):
Secret to it? Other than life lessons? Grandma taught you
how to make the perfect pancake? Yes, my grandmother taught
me how to make biscuits, and I know how to
make them because of her. And I saw what she
put in there and it was not healthy, but it's good.
Scary your grandma and grandfather? Who My grandma taught me
how to make the perfect omelet. That's why i'm such
(01:26:59):
as these days. Well, see this is all food related now.
Speaker 20 (01:27:02):
My grandma used to tell me to air it out
at night. Oh wow, okay, she used to say, you
useduld air it out?
Speaker 5 (01:27:07):
Why do you do.
Speaker 10 (01:27:08):
I remember her telling me that I'd be like whatever.
She made the best meatballs, but she never taught me
how to make them well.
Speaker 1 (01:27:14):
So do you air it out every night?
Speaker 33 (01:27:15):
I do not.
Speaker 10 (01:27:15):
I do not listen to grandma as much as I should.
Speaker 18 (01:27:18):
Can.
Speaker 28 (01:27:18):
I have specifics on what that means.
Speaker 10 (01:27:20):
It means you shouldn't wear underwear.
Speaker 7 (01:27:21):
That's what I thought.
Speaker 10 (01:27:22):
I just want to know night, down it out.
Speaker 1 (01:27:25):
That makes sense. I may take your grandmother's advice. So
Alice's grandfather taught him how to do woodworking and how
to build things, and he still does. And he taught
him how to play golf. He learned a lot of
stuff from his granddad. But you know what, of course,
other than diamond, our grandparents are they're gone. But it's
good to remember the time. I remember my grandfather on
(01:27:47):
my mother's side. I think by example, he taught me
how to smoke a cigarette one puff. I never did
solid trick. Yeah, there you go. So here's to the grandparents. Yeah,
the grand night. You're being so quiet over there. Yeah,
I'm thinking about it.
Speaker 21 (01:28:02):
I mean, I unfortunately didn't know my one grandmother and
then my grandfather, who I really wish I would have
known passed when I was nine, but my grandmother she
would use me and my brother's as manual labor. So
I learned how to do all sorts of things outside,
like what garden beds, gardening. I mean, I actually really
enjoy it now because it reminds me of my grandma.
Speaker 1 (01:28:25):
So you considered it manual labor back then, well, but
now it's like you actually learn I'm a garden from
your grandmother. It was funny because I mean we were
like nine ten. She would pull up the house at
seven am. All right, get in the car. We're going
to Buzz and Bees, which was like the hardware store,
and we'd pick up these big cinder blocks and go
to my grandma's backyard and build garden beds.
Speaker 7 (01:28:43):
You see, you learn something.
Speaker 1 (01:28:45):
A lot of people listening it you probably learned something.
You just didn't really remember it, but you did, you did. So.
Speaker 28 (01:28:52):
I didn't have either of my grandpa's growing up. They
both died pretty young, but all of the other kids
in the family knew what My dad's my dad's dad,
so my one grandfather and they swear they will all
tell you that I am him reincarnated. He died two
months before my birthday, before I was ever on the planet,
and they said everything about me from the moment I
was born is just like him.
Speaker 7 (01:29:11):
Wow, he was naughty apparently.
Speaker 1 (01:29:13):
Also, something you could learn from your great great grandfather
is how to try to stop a colonization in your country.
Speaker 7 (01:29:19):
Absolutely, I've learned how to make salt from the ocean
till you go. It's amazing we all have things. I
learned how to be a revolutionary.
Speaker 1 (01:29:29):
You did from your great great grandfe Thank you made
a Gandhi, Danielle, what's going on today?
Speaker 20 (01:29:37):
So, Kendrick Lamar is all over the Grammy nominations with
a total of nine.
Speaker 33 (01:29:41):
Now.
Speaker 10 (01:29:42):
He scored a clean sweep last year. He could do
even better this time around. Lady God got.
Speaker 20 (01:29:47):
Checked in with seven nominations this season, including Album of
the Year for Ma'am. This year's ceremony will air live
on CBS February. First, let's talk about Friday Night in
New York City, Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter dined together.
Photos were taken as they arrived at the restaurant. Now
Swifties believe that Taylor is publicly taking her bridesmaids out
(01:30:07):
to eat one at a time could totally be right.
In recent weeks she had dinner with people like Gigi
Hadid and a bunch of her other friends.
Speaker 10 (01:30:15):
So is this theory true? Who knows, We'll see.
Speaker 20 (01:30:18):
The Billboard two hundred album chart is topped by the

Bad Company, the White Stripes outcast Cyndi Laufer, Soundgarden, and
Moore were officially inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall

(01:30:51):
the late Chris Cornell.
Speaker 10 (01:30:53):
And did Kim Kardashian pass the bar exam? She did not.
Speaker 20 (01:30:58):
Saturday on her Instagram, she said she was so close
to passing. She said, I'm not a lawyer yet, I
just play a very well dressed one on TV. No shortcuts,
no giving up, just more studying. And the next time
she will have a chance is in February. And Britney
Spears return to Instagram on Friday. She posted about the
importance of boundaries and plugged a self help book. She said,
(01:31:18):
so much has happened this year. It's crazy. I try
to live within my means and the book Draw the
Circle is an incredible perspective. So what are we watching?
We've got the Green Bay Packers and the Eagles going
at it tonight. The Voice also the series premiere of
batfaan Over on Amazon.
Speaker 31 (01:31:39):
Elvister Wrenn in The Morning Show, Elvis ter Wan in
the Morning Show.
Speaker 1 (01:31:51):
All right, today, it's time for another fun, festive round
of caller Roulette.
Speaker 7 (01:31:58):
I'm nervous already.
Speaker 1 (01:32:00):
I am too, because we're just We're gonna pick up
phones at random. We don't know why they're calling. It
could be a disaster, it could be fabulous unless you
guys taught me out of it. Is this a bad idea?
This is the best idea ever.
Speaker 15 (01:32:12):
This is the stuff that dreams.
Speaker 1 (01:32:13):
Are made of. This is the stuff we get suit about.
All right, here we go. We don't know who's on
push that button right there. I don't know whatever's ringing
pick it up. Hello, Hello, Hello, who is welcome to
call Roulette?
Speaker 27 (01:32:30):
Dennis from Ohio?
Speaker 1 (01:32:33):
Dennis from Ohio. All right, why are you calling?
Speaker 27 (01:32:37):
Well, you guys were talking the other day about sleeping
with friends or best friends, and you know, I texted
in and I said, it's much better to have enemies
with benefits and friends with benefits.
Speaker 1 (01:32:54):
Explain that.
Speaker 27 (01:32:57):
Well, he my best friend in the another guy we've
rented a house together, and one of my friends got engaged.
His fiance's sister was always over there, and I just
could not stand her, you know what I mean. So well,
it just kind of worked out where one night we
all got drunk and you know, we ended up hooking up,
(01:33:19):
and well, you try to be nice to somebody you
don't like, it doesn't really work out that well, you
know what I mean. But it's his fiance's sister, so
I kind of have to be and you know, we're
constantly going at each other, but again and again and again,
we kept hooking up, even though we really couldn't stand
each other.
Speaker 10 (01:33:38):
So like a British drama that I watched, that's what
happened to them.
Speaker 1 (01:33:42):
They had each other.
Speaker 10 (01:33:43):
They kept hooking up and then she wound up pregnant.
Speaker 1 (01:33:47):
Oh lord wow, well no, no, no, no, I like that.
But you know, it reminds me of like, you know,
when you're a kid in school, you always pick on
the people that you really want to bang.
Speaker 5 (01:33:58):
You know.
Speaker 1 (01:34:01):
No, let me ask you the sex is the sex
better because there's this angst, there's this hatred.
Speaker 27 (01:34:08):
Yes, yes, you know, you know. It's like one of
those things where you know, you like you can do
certain things that you normally wouldn't do. You know, you pop,
pinch your pick or whatever, just to fiss them off
a little bit, you know what I mean. But it
goes both away.
Speaker 28 (01:34:22):
That's the problem.
Speaker 1 (01:34:23):
But you know, yeah, yeah, you do things that really
gets their attention because you can you think you can
get away with it, like oh I just pulled the
card to the wrong sorry about that one.
Speaker 27 (01:34:33):
You do it, there's no feeling where you know, it's
like they're going to be out the door in a minute.
You're not going to really care anyway.
Speaker 1 (01:34:39):
I guess all right, Well I'm glad, I'm glad we
picked you up first, and call her roulette. Then thank
you very much, I appreciate that, and continue this god
awful relationship you have with this person you hate. It
sounds great and there you go and there's benefits. All right,
thank you? All right? Hold on, you were listening to YO.
(01:35:00):
Now there's more. Uh you're listening to Caller Roulette. Uh,
just push any line that's blinking scary.
Speaker 6 (01:35:06):
Here we go.
Speaker 1 (01:35:06):
Someone's calling in for Roulette. Hello, Welcome to Caller Roulette.
Who is this? Hello? Hello?
Speaker 2 (01:35:14):
Hello?
Speaker 22 (01:35:16):
Hi?
Speaker 1 (01:35:18):
Okay, is there are you any rock? There's a delay?
Speaker 4 (01:35:21):
Who is this?
Speaker 22 (01:35:24):
Is this Carill from Burning Jersey?
Speaker 36 (01:35:28):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:35:28):
Carill?
Speaker 6 (01:35:29):
Do we know you?
Speaker 1 (01:35:30):
I know what Carill?
Speaker 4 (01:35:31):
You?
Speaker 1 (01:35:32):
You designed ago for us, wasn't he? But how many
are there out there?
Speaker 4 (01:35:42):
All right?
Speaker 3 (01:35:42):
Well?
Speaker 5 (01:35:42):
Correct?
Speaker 1 (01:35:45):
Okay, wow Carill, you're our second Carill that we know. Now,
Welcome to Caller Roulette. We don't know why you're calling?
So why are you calling? What's what's going on?
Speaker 2 (01:35:53):
Uh?
Speaker 22 (01:35:53):
So I was watching an old movie the other day.
It's called That Heart is a Vengeance and certain somebody
he was a radio host in that show in that movie,
and that was you, Elvis, that was me heard.
Speaker 4 (01:36:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 22 (01:36:07):
It's crazing how young you are, and to show how
influential and relevant you were even back then.
Speaker 1 (01:36:14):
Wow, Okay, I was younger. I mean, I'll be I'll
be honest. I mean that was what year was that?
Does anyone know?
Speaker 16 (01:36:21):
Nineteen ninety eighty ninety five?
Speaker 1 (01:36:24):
The eighties? Shut up, it wasn't the eighties.
Speaker 7 (01:36:26):
It was I heard with a Vengeance.
Speaker 32 (01:36:29):
Oh yeah, that was.
Speaker 1 (01:36:29):
Ninety five, ninety four, ninety five ish. Yeah, okay, and no, yeah,
I did look younger because well we were all younger
than Carill.
Speaker 22 (01:36:37):
And that was a bosom like definitely pleasure to see
you in the movie. Just didn't expect a doom scrawling
and then all of a sudden, I hear you boys,
I'm like, that sounds familiar.
Speaker 1 (01:36:47):
Can I just wear it?
Speaker 22 (01:36:48):
Right?
Speaker 21 (01:36:49):
What Elvis's character, Well, what Elvis did in that movie
is the equivalent of shouting fire in a crowded auditorium.
Speaker 1 (01:36:56):
Because you had a call. It started in the Tri
state area right by seeing everybody, every parent to their
school and and saying there's a bombos.
Speaker 16 (01:37:08):
If you did that, there would be.
Speaker 7 (01:37:12):
Well if it was true.
Speaker 1 (01:37:13):
Yeah, yeah, okay, let me let me set up the premise.
I was doing my talk show here in New York.
A guy called in and said, Hi, this is the
guy you're looking for I have hidden a bomb in
a school in New York. I'm like, well, tell us where,
and he didn't, so it didn't It wasn't my fault.
It was a caller's fault. I'm not going to take
the response. It's unscript. Would you shut up?
Speaker 22 (01:37:33):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (01:37:33):
If that actually happened on our show, would you hit
the dumb button or would you just let it go?
I would probably.
Speaker 22 (01:37:40):
Happen for real in the end of the World when
a guy was reading a book on the radio and
people who I was really the end of the world
or aliens were invading?
Speaker 1 (01:37:50):
Oh yeah, were the.
Speaker 5 (01:37:52):
World the world?
Speaker 36 (01:37:54):
There?
Speaker 1 (01:37:54):
You go, yeah, yeah, yeah, I would let that happen too.
It's all for right, Corill. Thank you, you've been our
now you're our favorite on Caller Roulette. Hold on one second,
let's move on to push that one over there, scary.
I don't know who this is or why they're calling. Hello, Hello, Hello,
(01:38:15):
are you there?
Speaker 5 (01:38:16):
Oh hi morning?
Speaker 1 (01:38:19):
Why what's your name? Latisia, Latisia, Welcome to Caller Roulette.
We don't know why you're calling, so tell us what's
what's on your mind?
Speaker 8 (01:38:29):
So I want a T shirt from you guys.
Speaker 10 (01:38:34):
A few weeks ago, and I haven't gone it yet.
Speaker 1 (01:38:40):
Hold on, I see Latsia you won back on the
twenty second. Is that correct? I have you heard my list?
Speaker 12 (01:38:44):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:38:46):
Yeah, Scottie Bee, let's go, Scotti B. It's time for
customer service. Were's her shirt?
Speaker 23 (01:38:52):
I'm looking at my grid to see if maybe Diamond
didn't put it on here. Do you live in Do
you live in Connecticut?
Speaker 34 (01:39:04):
I do?
Speaker 7 (01:39:05):
Okay, yeah she does, so Diamon did put it on
your list?
Speaker 23 (01:39:08):
Oh, it just was not It wasn't shipped yet. That
was that was a that was more than one item,
so it takes a little longer.
Speaker 1 (01:39:15):
Oh why what are we waiting for the car or something?
Speaker 23 (01:39:19):
I'm waiting on the boxes to come in from FedEx
because that won't fit in an envelope.
Speaker 10 (01:39:23):
Oh, Scottie, what is your ship time?
Speaker 23 (01:39:25):
Usually generally within a week.
Speaker 20 (01:39:27):
That's good.
Speaker 23 (01:39:28):
That's good.
Speaker 1 (01:39:28):
So shouldn't we, as customer service in scott ships notify
these people if there will be a delay.
Speaker 7 (01:39:34):
No, yeah, I get delay shipping notice.
Speaker 23 (01:39:36):
Yeah, but but there's no there's no guaranteed time, so
there's not a delay.
Speaker 7 (01:39:40):
But you said it's typically a week, so okay, you
know what.
Speaker 23 (01:39:42):
Normally in radio we say like within thirty days.
Speaker 10 (01:39:44):
Yeah, I have to say a week is good.
Speaker 7 (01:39:46):
It used to be.
Speaker 1 (01:39:47):
We were used to be six to eight weeks.
Speaker 7 (01:39:49):
Do you hear that sound of his panties bunching?
Speaker 1 (01:39:51):
What that means?
Speaker 23 (01:39:55):
Amazon? Sometimes it comes the same days.
Speaker 1 (01:39:57):
Yeah, I know my name is on the show, Elvis.
Is this the way you want your show to be represented?
Speaker 18 (01:40:03):
Well?
Speaker 1 (01:40:03):
No, kids, and as you know, Leticia, this isn't my fault,
my fault or anyone's fault except for Scotty.
Speaker 23 (01:40:08):
No, we're in the times of immediacy. All these kids
these days think everything comes the next day.
Speaker 1 (01:40:13):
Doesn't work.
Speaker 20 (01:40:15):
When I was with Froggy at his country radio station
in Jacksonville, they taped all the prizes with people's names
on it to the windows and the people had to
actually come in person and pick up their prize in person.
Speaker 23 (01:40:27):
Well, Jacksonville is a little different than New York City.
I mean, if you'd like to drive down from Connecticut,
I'll wait downstairs with it.
Speaker 1 (01:40:35):
I know you you want like a I don't know
what you want, but we're gonna have to tape to
the window in a high rise in midtown Manhattan. So
we just drive on in and get that.
Speaker 23 (01:40:43):
She want a small hoodie and a small T shirt.
Speaker 1 (01:40:46):
Oh did you use a small ball money?
Speaker 27 (01:40:50):
Nice?
Speaker 7 (01:40:51):
Wow, I have a box on my desk right now.
That would be perfect for that.
Speaker 23 (01:40:55):
No, I need specific fed acts.
Speaker 15 (01:40:57):
Why why don't you just use two separate envelopes then.
Speaker 23 (01:41:00):
Because that would cost the company double A.
Speaker 7 (01:41:03):
Lot of excuses.
Speaker 1 (01:41:05):
All right, So now you see what we do with
every day, ly Tsia.
Speaker 23 (01:41:08):
You'll have it on Monday.
Speaker 1 (01:41:10):
You'll have it'll be before Christmas. And we appreciate your patience.
Thank you, Lettissia. Everyone the most patients. Yeah, yest it
for you. Now it'll be another six weeks further delays. Yeah,
oh my god, further delays. All right, Letitia, thanks for calling.
(01:41:30):
We appreciate it. And ladies and gentlemen call her roulette.
Speaker 23 (01:41:33):
Kay.
Speaker 5 (01:41:36):
I ever wondered what we look like?
Speaker 1 (01:41:38):
Do you think I look in red?
Speaker 31 (01:41:39):

This is Elvis Duran in the Morning show.
Speaker 1 (01:42:11):
Remember we had Riy in Indianapolis on the show and
she has the best job in the world. She's a
miracle worker. Let's remind everyone what Laurie's all about. LORI
are you there?
Speaker 2 (01:42:24):
Hello?
Speaker 22 (01:42:25):
Hello?
Speaker 1 (01:42:26):
Okay, tell everyone what you do for a living, because
it's fascinating, we think.
Speaker 14 (01:42:31):
Okay, So I go in with the surgeon and I
recover organs, mostly kidneys, but I do lungs, I do liver,
I do heart and kidneys.
Speaker 1 (01:42:40):
Wow, wow, wow, okay, this is important stuff. What do
you think, Gandhi?
Speaker 28 (01:42:45):
So when you say you recover them, are you the
person that's transporting them somewhere else? Are you actually going
in there and getting them out?
Speaker 4 (01:42:52):
I do both.
Speaker 14 (01:42:53):
I go in there, them out and with the kidneys.
Then I clean them, canulate them, put them on a pump,
and I take them back to my office and I
find them a home.
Speaker 7 (01:43:02):
Oh okay, I have a question.
Speaker 10 (01:43:03):
I have a question how long?
Speaker 20 (01:43:05):
Like I heard that it has to be like a
quick process, like it has to get on ice really quick.
Some of these organs, like, how quick is this process
of getting it into somebody else?
Speaker 6 (01:43:14):
Okay, so.
Speaker 14 (01:43:17):
Heart, lungs, liver, they will all have a home before
we go into the r so they all know where
they are going, because those will have to be placed
within eight hours of coming out of a body.
Speaker 10 (01:43:31):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:43:32):
True.
Speaker 14 (01:43:33):
The kidneys, however, we put them on a pump and
they can last up to twenty four hours, and they
do not have a home when they are retrieved because
they are so sized, specific the kidneys, so we wait
until we take those out so that we can measure them,
canulate them, see how well they're pumping, and then we
(01:43:54):
find them a home.
Speaker 1 (01:43:56):
Wow, never knew any of this. So this is why
it's important to always have a Yetti cooler in the garage.
Speaker 14 (01:44:03):
You know, I keep one in the trunk of my
car for emergencies.
Speaker 1 (01:44:06):
So I must assume that if you have up to
eight hours to get most of those organs moved and
in the recipient, there's obviously there's a major network of
communication going on here, right.
Speaker 14 (01:44:19):
It's a whole team. It's it's a whole team working
together because I'm in Indiana. But let's say that I
have a donor whose heart pholtically matches a recipient in Texas.
We have to be in cahoot with Texas, get them
up here in time, and then we have to wait
(01:44:42):
until that recipient is basically on the table and they're
ready for that heart. So'll call us and say, okay,
we're two hours out. Then we know that we can
take that heart out, get it on the cooler, get
it on the plane, and get it back to Texas.
Speaker 1 (01:44:57):
Well, let me ask you this, if you have someone
coming in, let's say from New Work Airport and it's
delayed four hours or I'm sure it doesn't work that way.
I mean, have you ever had to lose an organ
because they just didn't make it in time?
Speaker 14 (01:45:09):
We do not, because we have private jets.
Speaker 1 (01:45:11):
Oh wow, you should scary. You should donate a kidney
you get to fly on private jets.
Speaker 20 (01:45:20):
Do you give the organs names, like if you take somebody's,
you know, like heart out, dude, name it like Larry
the heart or something.
Speaker 14 (01:45:28):
We do not, but we should do that, maybe.
Speaker 1 (01:45:34):
Danielle always with the very deep probing scientific questions, exactly
a little stick of the time. My name is Larry
the Heart. Gandi's full the questions.
Speaker 28 (01:45:44):
What do you yes, Okay, so I have a couple.
So one, the patient always flies to you and you
never fly the organ to the patient.
Speaker 14 (01:45:51):
No, no, we we will go wherever we are needed.
So let's say that we have a heart here, wherever
the heart is going back, heart team will fly here,
get the heart, and then fly the heart back to
their hospital.
Speaker 10 (01:46:06):
Okay.
Speaker 28 (01:46:07):
And then my other question was, are people just ready
to have surgery at that moment? Like I thought before,
you had some pretty major surgeries. You're not supposed to
eat for a certain amount of time, and there are
certain things you have to prep your body for. But
if you get a heart, you get a heart, do.
Speaker 15 (01:46:21):
They just go right?
Speaker 14 (01:46:23):
And so if you're on the top of that heart list,
you're you already know And most of the people that
are getting the heart are already in the hospital.
Speaker 6 (01:46:33):
Okay, so they're they're already on.
Speaker 14 (01:46:35):
The antibiotics and doing all the things that they need
to do.
Speaker 1 (01:46:38):
I can't imagine what it would be like to be
sitting there and you're not in the hospital. But the
phone ring said, okay, get down here now, Yeah, okay,
go time. You have your whole bag packed.
Speaker 14 (01:46:49):
Which is what they do for kidneys, because kidneys can
be like that because, like I said, they don't have
a home. So when they find a home, they'll call
the recipient and say, hey, we have this kidney, would
you like would you like.
Speaker 6 (01:47:00):
To come in?
Speaker 14 (01:47:00):
And they'll say yes, sure, So then they'll drive to
the hospital and get them all prepped and ready.
Speaker 1 (01:47:06):
This is incredible. By the way, we're talking to Laurie
who want a contest from her? That's how she want
a contest with us. Brother, And now we know one
of those fascinating people on earth. This is just a blessing. Yeah, Nate,
what do you have.
Speaker 16 (01:47:19):
For I have so many questions for you, So.
Speaker 21 (01:47:25):
So okay, the first one I have is, so the family,
the recipient family and the family of the donor.
Speaker 16 (01:47:32):
Do you connect the two of them?
Speaker 22 (01:47:34):
Do you like.
Speaker 14 (01:47:37):
They want to? Because they're believe it or not. Are
some recipient families who do not want to know anything
about the donor, and there are some that want to
know everything about the donor. So that is a whole
separate group from what I do. But they are our
breathming and after care program. They connect those people, but
they write letters back and forth to each other through
(01:48:01):
our network, so we don't say, hey, this is their address,
this is where they live. You write a letter, you
give it to us, We give it to them, and
then eventually if those people want to meet, they absolutely can.
Speaker 34 (01:48:12):
Wow.
Speaker 16 (01:48:12):
Okay, that's fascinating.
Speaker 21 (01:48:14):
Second question, so you went back to school at the
age of forty because you decided this was something important
in your life that you needed to do for you.
How difficult was going back to school at forty and
what did you leave as a career to do this.
Speaker 14 (01:48:30):
Let me tell you how difficult was my first communications
class I had to take. They were like, Okay, we're
gonna make powerpoints and we're going to do this, and
we're using Google docs and all of these things. And
I turned to the senior in high school that was
sitting beside me, and I was like, what is that?
Speaker 3 (01:48:50):
I don't know what that is.
Speaker 4 (01:48:53):
It. I'll help you.
Speaker 14 (01:48:54):
I had no idea what I was doing.
Speaker 22 (01:48:56):
It was a mess.
Speaker 24 (01:48:58):
It was a mess.
Speaker 1 (01:48:59):
I have a question, what Well, she hasn't answered the
question yet.
Speaker 16 (01:49:02):
Yeah, but that is such a determination that you had
to say, I'm going to do this.
Speaker 1 (01:49:08):
My god, you're such an inspiration.
Speaker 3 (01:49:10):
I know.
Speaker 1 (01:49:10):
I love that, But what career did you leave? What
career did you leave to do this?
Speaker 14 (01:49:16):
I worked for an optalmologist. Okay, I was a receptionist
in an opstalmologist office.
Speaker 1 (01:49:22):
Wow, look at that. Wow, Yeah, amazing.
Speaker 14 (01:49:25):
So when my husband passed away, what inspired me to
do this was I received a letter from the lady
who received my husband's heart.
Speaker 1 (01:49:33):
Wow.
Speaker 14 (01:49:34):
And I can't tell you how many times I read
that letter to at least two hundred times.
Speaker 1 (01:49:40):
I read that say what did it say? Just the
headlines that really really stick out.
Speaker 14 (01:49:45):
It was just like, thank you so much. This was
such an unselfish thing for you to do. You went
through this horrible tragedy but still had compassion to help me.
Speaker 27 (01:49:56):
And now I am able to be my grandchildren grow up.
Speaker 14 (01:50:00):
I was able to watch my daughter get married. I
was able to do all of these things because of
your husband.
Speaker 7 (01:50:07):
Wow. That's incredible.
Speaker 8 (01:50:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:50:09):
And I was like, oh my gosh.
Speaker 36 (01:50:11):
And so I decided right then and there that I
didn't know how, I didn't know what, I didn't know
what it was going to entail, but donation was going
to be a part of my life in some way.
Speaker 1 (01:50:24):
I cannot imagine what it's like to have a doctor
look you in the eye and say you're at the
end of your life unless you want to hear that,
unless someone has an organ to keep you alive. Now
what we're going to say.
Speaker 14 (01:50:43):
One of the very tragic parts of the story that
I left out was my husband and I were together
for eight years and we never talked about getting married.
We were just happy, we were dating, we were you know,
we lived together. We were just happy whatever.
Speaker 18 (01:50:56):
And on a.
Speaker 14 (01:50:57):
Tuesday he looked at me and he said, what are
we doing this weekend? And I said, I don't think
we have any plans. And he said, let's get married.
And I was like what, And he said, let's get married.
So we flew to Destin. We got married on the beach,
just the two of us, and sixteen days later.
Speaker 3 (01:51:15):
He passed away.
Speaker 1 (01:51:16):
Oh oh my god.
Speaker 14 (01:51:19):
Yeah, so we were only married for sixteen days, but
that was definitely God telling him to take care of me.
Speaker 7 (01:51:26):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (01:51:29):
Your story is beyond fascinating. You have so many different
layers of storytelling and things to learn, just scary. You
had a question for Laurie.
Speaker 30 (01:51:39):
Yeah, I was just wondering if there was ever a
situation where somebody was waiting for something like a liver,
for instance, and then then all of a sudden, the
liver comes out of the other person and you're like, ooh, yeah,
we can't use this because maybe the person like had
a life of like you know, drinking too much or something.
Has there been an organ where you guys were like,
you got your hopes up to be able to use it,
and it's like.
Speaker 1 (01:51:58):
Yeah, I can't.
Speaker 14 (01:52:00):
Absolutely absolutely. We had some lungs just a few weeks
ago that we do cat scans and bronx and all
of the testing beforehand. Nothing showed up on the test,
and then we got in and there was a nodule
on the lung that turned out to be a cancerous
Nodulefore we can't use any of the organs.
Speaker 1 (01:52:18):
Then I guess work. I'm not going to remove myself
from the liver list. Gandhi, what do you have for
for luria?
Speaker 22 (01:52:31):
Okay?
Speaker 28 (01:52:31):
I think it's a question that that is the biggest
urban legend maybe of all time. Is it true that
if you have organ donator or donation on your license
you're an organ donor that doctors will let you die
so that they can get your organs.
Speaker 14 (01:52:46):
No, this is so funny that people think that you know,
you come into the er, they don't look at your
license to go. Yeah, put him over and you know,
id'l left. He's gonna go to organ donations.
Speaker 7 (01:52:56):
I just wanted to do because we hear it all
the time.
Speaker 1 (01:53:02):
No, I'll tell you what.
Speaker 36 (01:53:03):
We have people texting in not even know that you
are an organ donor.
Speaker 14 (01:53:08):
You're on events and way after because.
Speaker 1 (01:53:10):
The rumor out there is it's a possibility. People were
texting us saying you should ask Laurie about whether or
not well. People are watching their watch while I slowly
suffocate so they could take my organs right through my wallet.
Speaker 22 (01:53:25):
So this has been.
Speaker 1 (01:53:26):
Amazing speaking with you and I don't do you guys agree?
I mean, this is just amazing.
Speaker 10 (01:53:31):
This is amazing.
Speaker 1 (01:53:35):
Sons, We could go on and on. Thank you so
much for your time and God bless you. And if
ever you need a liver, don't don't don't come run
into me.
Speaker 6 (01:53:47):
We're going to take your heart all right.
Speaker 1 (01:53:49):
Oh see my heart it's golden.
Speaker 7 (01:53:52):
You're gonna find it. Let me tell you.
Speaker 1 (01:53:54):
Shut up, keep menace right.
Speaker 23 (01:53:57):
We love you, Laurie.
Speaker 1 (01:53:58):
Thank you for listening to us. Have a great day.
Speaker 26 (01:54:00):

Phone tap Today's phone tap from Garrett. Yes, Hello Garrett,
good morning. What are you got going on? All right?
Speaker 34 (01:55:15):
So Rene wants to play a phone tap on her
boyfriend Eric. Now the couple are going away on vacation,
so Renee thought, hey, let's play a phone tap on
my boyfriend hours before we leave on vacation.
Speaker 1 (01:55:25):
You should never do this, so I'm gonna call it.
People get nuts when they travel. You shouldn't mess with
them like this.
Speaker 34 (01:55:31):
So I'm gonna call Eric and say I'm from the
company that he booked the vacation through. And then Renee
is gonna come on and things got a little awkward.
Speaker 1 (01:55:39):
All right, Let's see what happens. Hello, Hi, Yes, is
there an Eric Nislot available?
Speaker 11 (01:55:47):
Eric?
Speaker 34 (01:55:48):
Hi, my name is Patrick Sajack. I'm calling from Rage. Look,
you have a trip coming up this evening to California?
Is that correct?
Speaker 4 (01:55:55):
That is correct as we speak?
Speaker 22 (01:55:57):
Now?
Speaker 1 (01:55:57):
You booked with Craig correct.
Speaker 4 (01:56:00):
I don't remember exactly that person's name.
Speaker 34 (01:56:01):
Yes, we had to let Craig go about two weeks ago.
We realized that he was pocketing the money and not
booking the trip. So unfortunately, Uh, the trip is non existent.
You never had any airline tickets in the first place.
Speaker 32 (01:56:16):
That's actually that's impossible because I've got email confirmation, I've got.
Speaker 4 (01:56:19):
I've got my itinerary.
Speaker 36 (01:56:22):
Yes, no, that's crazy.
Speaker 4 (01:56:26):
You got to come out and take care of it.
Speaker 1 (01:56:28):
It's kind of like what we like to call a
pyramid scheme where we hired him.
Speaker 4 (01:56:33):
Right now, you have any idea what this trip is about.
What this trip means to me?
Speaker 1 (01:56:37):
Vacation? Tell me vacation, I'm sure, and it's supposed to
be relaxing vacation.
Speaker 4 (01:56:42):
Nothing.
Speaker 32 (01:56:43):
I'm packing up right now. My girlfriend is on her
way to Antwerp right now.
Speaker 1 (01:56:50):
You haven't to do what this trip is Well, no, sir,
but I can get you on a flight maybe next
week or the week after.
Speaker 4 (01:56:56):
And I can't wait a week. I took off, well,
I took off time. I can't just go call my
boss and say, well, you know what's coming in this week?
I take off nexture. No, it don't work that way.
Speaker 34 (01:57:09):
Would it be helpful? Maybe if I call your boss
and explain to him our situation.
Speaker 32 (01:57:12):
Yeah, right, as helpful as it is. Right now, you're
talking to me, talking all this nonseet. No, there's no way,
there's no way.
Speaker 4 (01:57:20):
To stuff like this should happen. What looks like the news.
Let's cut the news meet to take take a ticket
to a new company and see how long you guys stay.
Speaker 1 (01:57:27):
I'm this is.
Speaker 4 (01:57:28):
Ridiculous, sir.
Speaker 1 (01:57:29):
What if I get you a luxury car maybe for
the weekend?
Speaker 4 (01:57:31):
What a lex car gonna do? I'm in Philly. Woman
is right at California. I got a week a week
and so man, we forget this.
Speaker 1 (01:57:39):
So then that's a know for for traveling next week
then or no to the car.
Speaker 4 (01:57:42):
You have to know for traveling next week. That's a
no to a car. And then, Yester, you're gonna get
me a flight out today? Here I'll say it's today
right now. In fact, you should have had that flight
before you gave me a car. He says, you know
about this, got two weeks ago. You should have had
this already taken care of. Right now? What I can do?
Do you Juti phone? You come out of pocket?
Speaker 36 (01:58:02):
Before the phone?
Speaker 34 (01:58:04):
I did look up some flights and right now, flights
to California are going for about fifteen hundred bucks. I
don't I don't have that money. But if you'd like
to pay that, if you'd like to pay that for
your ball, if you would like to pay that, that
would be.
Speaker 4 (01:58:20):
I got paid for this trip. I pled for the
whole trip. I don't ride any extra money. Don't give
me now, I gotta just hear it. Now, why are
you doing this to me? Yo?
Speaker 34 (01:58:31):
Eric, my name's Garrett from Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
You just got phone taped by your girlfriend Renee.
Speaker 1 (01:58:38):
What yeah?
