Speaker 2 (00:01):
Increase volume and go here we go much that noise?
Speaker 3 (00:11):
I'm sorry, that's wow.
Speaker 4 (00:20):
Like from Thea's Fran show.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Oh God, the country's most popular top forty one program.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
This is you know Elvis Duran in the morning.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
Wait, it's Friday day. I love the roll of the tongue.
They bring me something that's tongue worthy. Damn, I gotta
get on an airplane now. Yeah, don't do that today. Yeah,
we'll talk about we're having an airplane debacle. If you're
applying somewhere today, No, you're not anyway. Welcome today. It's Friday,
(01:07):
October seventh. Welcome to the weekend kids.
Speaker 5 (01:09):
How you feeling?
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Hi scary? Oh they're Gandhi. Producer Sam is here, Danielle
scottibe at Master Control.
Speaker 6 (01:20):
Hi.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
There there's my dime diamond all my little cupcake. Look
at you. You are Daddy's little cupcake, baked by the devil.
I saw Garrett here. I think Andrew should be sashing
in in a moment. Hey, I got new music for
you on New Music Friday, Froggy. Yes, good morning to you.
(01:40):
Good morning, as I want you to announce our brand
new song on Free I'm not it's free new music
Friday because we're not going to charge you for it.
We're not. It is brand new music from Katy Perry
called band Aids. That is brand new Katy Perry. Did
(02:01):
you listen to the lyrics?
Speaker 7 (02:02):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Yeah, you know what everyone say. Well, obviously this is
a song written about her relationship with Orlando Bloom.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
They had to put band aids on it constantly. Yeah,
how she didn't feel like he tried hard enough. But
at the end she said, I would never ever change anything.
I would do it all over again. Yep, I would
do it all over again. They have a beautiful baby
out of it, so you know what. I like that.
It was not a song that's like, Okay, our relationship
(02:30):
didn't work, screw you. It was more like, well, I
don't feel like you tried hard enough. Yeah, I tried
my best, didn't work out, but I would do it again.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
So now, when does the Orlando Bloom rebuttal song come out?
Speaker 8 (02:43):
Right?
Speaker 4 (02:43):
Yes?
Speaker 9 (02:43):
I always think that, like, it's not fair when one's
an actor and one's a singer, so one can drop
an album but the other can't.
Speaker 10 (02:49):
I know.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
But worse, he could write a screenplay about her. Now
I don't know, you know what? I like that? I
like that song?
Speaker 3 (02:55):
Yeah, me too.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
I'm gonna let's sit there. We got to listen to
it a couple more times anyway, Brand New Katie Harry
band aids on New Music Friday. There you go, Hey,
let's get home with the day our first Oh, by
the way, I did say it's October seventh a moment ago.
Speaker 9 (03:10):
Oh I didn't even touch that.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Well, okay, let me redo that it's November seventh.
Speaker 9 (03:15):
Yeah, there you go. Okay, Yeah, me too.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
I'm sorry, what's that I like October? Better go back
to a time. I could roll the hands of time
back if anyone wants the hands of time rolled back.
It's Nate. Where you gonna say? What habitash read? Did
you find that habit? Stop right next to my coddler? Hey, Leanne,
how are you my first caller of the day?
Speaker 11 (03:37):
Good morning, I'm wonderful.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
You sound wonderful. So for Leanne, it's a bitter sweet day.
Tell everyone why it's a bitter and sweet day for you?
Speaker 11 (03:50):
Oh, I am leaving the best job I ever had
today and selling our house and we are moving from
New Hampshire to South Carolina. Tomorrow morning.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Whoa okay, right, do you mind us asking why you're.
Speaker 11 (04:06):
Moving because I'm so over cold? It may eight months
of winter and.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Well, okay, you know what, Migration is a good thing,
especially if you don't like the cold. You know, it
still gets cold in South Carolina a little bit, right.
Speaker 11 (04:25):
It does, but I think like January, the lows are
thirty five yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
Yeah, yeah, okay, why don't you tell Froggy with the
lows in New Hampshire are in February? Yeah, what are they.
Speaker 6 (04:39):
Like?
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Ten below?
Speaker 2 (04:40):
Okay? Oh yeah, much better, much balling. You're in South Carolina?
Good god. Yeah, thirty five degrees is hot compared to
New Hampshire.
Speaker 12 (04:48):
I mean I just said that it's gonna be thirty
five in Florida next Monday morning, so I mean, just
it will be chilly, but it will be much nicer
in the day.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
You'll love it, Lee, And congratulations, you know what, You're
leaving a job you love, You're leaving in a neighborhood
you're comfortable, but it's okay, live aing over. We got
some learning to do, some living to do. You're making
a great decision. We're very proud of you. Leanne you
get on in there and march into battle.
Speaker 11 (05:08):
Okay, thank you, so so much.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Good for you. What do you have for a Friendlyanne?
She's on her way to South Carolina.
Speaker 13 (05:15):
When she makes that move to South Carolina, she'll be
strutting around in barely anything. So how about an Elvis
rand in the morning shoe T shirt?
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Yes, yes, they have a lot of wet T shirt
contests in South Carolina.
Speaker 11 (05:29):
So I'm way too old for that.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Oh no, not at all. No, we're gonna We're gonna
send a glass of water so you can rehearse. I
hold on, Leanne, and then I have a safe move.
Speaker 6 (05:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
You know what, every day a new story from a
new listener. Yeah, love it. She's moving, she's moving, she's
changing her life. You know what, how many people listening
to the sound of my voice right now would love
just to see what it would be like just to
push the reset button and go, Okay, Cyonara, I'm out
of here.
Speaker 7 (05:55):
Yes, so many.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
I'm sure I got it.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
Sorry, you're not going anywhere. So everyone calling?
Speaker 9 (06:00):
Is that a question? Where are you trying to trap us?
Speaker 14 (06:02):
No?
Speaker 2 (06:02):
Not at all, not at all. Maybe have a meeting
after the show. Everyone's good. Anyway pushing the reset button.
Sometimes you can just stay where you are and push
the reset button. So always remember that you don't have
to move away physically, but you can move away mentally
and spiritually and be better from it. Into the three
things we need to know, gandhi, Oh lord, it's a
(06:24):
day ahead.
Speaker 9 (06:25):
Today is going to be a day You did mention
this for a quick second earlier. Thousands of flights are
being canceled across America starting today as the FAA makes
cuts at forty big airports. Currently four percent of flights
are going to be cut, and that percentage will increase
every day until it hits ten percent next week. This
comes as air traffic controllers continue to call in sick
(06:45):
while not getting paid. The Secretary of Transportation says he's
putting safety first as the longest federal government shut down
in history continues. It is now in today thirty eight.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
This happened to my sister yesterday. She was at the
airport waiting to fly out and the play coming in
for two hours. Flew around and around and around and
could not land because there was not enough people to
bring it in.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
My plane I was waiting for it didn't fly around
in circles. It just sat there for two hours.
Speaker 9 (07:11):
Oh, I'd rather just sit there than wate all that fuel,
like the sating creer. I was supposed to go to
Boston today. Not happening.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Yeah, we were all delayed yesterday. But today's supposed to
be worse.
Speaker 9 (07:19):
Really, yep, because now it's officially starting. It didn't start
until today and here we go, right.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
You know, before the government shut down, they were having
issues with air traffic controllers coming in and now even
more so they're calling in sick. They're not coming in,
so they're on skeleton crews in some places, which is
a safety hazard. I don't know if you know about
you know how air traffic control works. It's vital.
Speaker 9 (07:40):
You don't want them sleepy, No, no, you don't.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
You don't. What else is going on?
Speaker 15 (07:45):
All right?
Speaker 9 (07:45):
Several people reportedly fell ill after a suspicious package was
opened yesterday at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. The package
reportedly contained an unknown white powder and political propaganda. A
spokesperson says the base was temporarily locked down and an
investigation is ongoing. Two buildings were also evacuated. The people
reporting symptoms were taken to the on Base Medical Center
and stable condition and were later released Joint Bass Andrews
(08:08):
is home to Air Force one.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
What was the symptoms do we know?
Speaker 9 (08:12):
Some of them say flu like symptoms, some said a headache.
I think everybody had some different things happening, right, so
they're not sure if one hundred percent you were actually
feeling very ill or if it was.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Like what would happen if we went to the Elvistree
Morning Show mail room and someone opened a package and
a bunch of white powder came out and we all
started laughing and giggling and dancing.
Speaker 9 (08:29):
I think that's exactly how it would be handled here.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
We can we play some old disco.
Speaker 7 (08:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (08:34):
I used to have a boss who whenever he got
a package from someone that he didn't know, he would
hand it to me and be like, you open.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
This, do that.
Speaker 9 (08:41):
I'm lowly associate producer.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
I had to.
Speaker 9 (08:44):
It was terrible, all right? Yeah? And finally, the Rockefeller
Center Christmas Tree is beginning its journey to New York City.
The seventy five foot tall eleven ton Norway spruce is
being donated by the Russ family in the community of
East Greenbush, New York, which is just south of Albany.
It was cut down. It will be hoisted at the
plaza Saturday and lit up December third and three.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
I'll they send it to the right address. It's Rockefeller Center,
not Rockville Center.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
Oh, that would be weird. How we have a tree here,
there's a.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
Different Where is that that's out there? That's Long Island.
Don't send it over there? Are you ready for your Friday?
Speaker 3 (09:19):
Who chooses to get up at the sime?
Speaker 1 (09:21):
I know Morning Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.

Elvis Duran and the Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Oh boy, okay, almost did make it back.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
It's up.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
Lord, Well okay, the pop up bagels just arrived and
they have this new horse radish butter. Oh fuck god.
And they said, hurry up. The song's almost over five seconds.
I slow it down, make the song go longer.
Speaker 9 (10:16):
My favorite is You're like, I'm not gonna get a
bagel because no one's.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
Moving fast enough.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
It's kind of funny the things we do. And the
song ends and we're back, and then we're supposed to
sound like these polished yo good ball together. It would
hell it is this weekedre wait for the weekend. It would
he would go it out this weekend. No, no, no,
we bring the action to you, all the anxiety that's happening.
My favorite thing about coming back from the break. There was,
(10:39):
and I've told this story on the show several times,
but you don't mean. There was a famous famous anchor
at ABC News, Peter Jennings with his name. He was
on for years, a great journalist, great anchor. That's back
in the day when TV news was actually kind of
in the middle, fair and balanced really. But as he
(11:03):
would go to a break, ABC News will come right
back and it would break. He would light up a
cigarette there in the studio with all the lights right,
and he'd puff away this calm, demeanored man, brilliant mind,
shucking down his canter stick. And they said, mister Channings,
(11:24):
ten seconds. They would turn this giant fan on above
where he sat. They installed a fan, an exhaust fan
like they have in you know kitchens, place in restaurants,
and sometimes I go, okay, turn off the fan three
two one, you're on and you could see still see
(11:45):
a little smoke floating around the ABC studios vitae exactly,
well that's us. But with bagels.
Speaker 9 (11:53):
Yeah, yeah, there are seeds everywhere.
Speaker 3 (11:56):
Justly, I think it's better for.
Speaker 16 (11:58):
Your house carnage.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
So I did something last night, and it may sound
kind of boogie and wasteful, but you know, I'm an airhead.
I'm an you know, I'm a do as they say,
I'm a little toozy pots. So I went on and went,
I want I want some tacos tonight. So I ordered
for my favorite Mexican place, but enter you know, hit
sand you know whatever. They came and they had three
(12:22):
bags of food, and I'm like, I was like, oh,
it's one of those nights where they gave me someone
else's food. This is good. I went and looked to
my order. I had filled my basket before and never ordered.
I ordered like three, three sessions.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
Of food I've donefore.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
It was over one hundred dollars worth of tacos, rice
and beans, and so where is it. It's in the refrigerator.
Speaker 3 (12:45):
That's the thing, because you didn't need all of that.
So where is it?
Speaker 2 (12:48):
I had ate about eight dollars worth, and you know
I went to bad But have you ever done that? Yeah,
you forget You just push send without looking at the price.
Bad idea. I had a buffet.
Speaker 9 (13:00):
It actually sounds like a good idea.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
It was like the Mexican buffet. Yeah, I have a
little bite of everything.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
I've voted for multiple restaurants accidentally because you can double
dash on like dash or something like and then I go,
I didn't mean to do that, and then like more
than one restaurant shows up.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
I'm sitting there by myself. I needed you over there. Yeah,
help me eat my Mexican. Seriously, what looks like a
Mexican a cheap adding space of a Mexican buffet? Restaurant?
Speaker 9 (13:25):
Buffet?
Speaker 2 (13:26):
Yeah, there's got me an you know all you can eat.
They call him a pitch till you win. Oh, I
don't know. We'll come up with it. In Texas we
had them, Hey pretty sure, Sam? Yes, I oh, you
say something.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
My biggest sin is I don't always check the address.
Speaker 17 (13:40):
So I've been on the phone fighting with people being like, no,
my food is not here, and then it turns out
it's a Saturday, and I sent it to the office.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
Yeah, done that several times.
Speaker 9 (13:47):
Yeah too, my mad.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
Let's get into the horoscopes. It's Friday. Who you doing
them with?
Speaker 1 (13:52):
Gandhi helped me close the week, all right?
Speaker 9 (13:53):
I would love to if you celebrate today, November seventh,
you are celebrating with Lord David Ghetta and Joni Jony
Johnny Jony Today.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
I don't know, it's all longrage here old she is amazing.
Speaker 9 (14:07):
Joni Mitchell.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
Happy birthday, Jony.
Speaker 9 (14:08):
You know I got confused because I looked up the
pronunciation just a double check, and it has it as
Johnny Mitchell. But I was like Johnny Joni Mitchell, Right,
happy birthday everybody. Scorpio, be careful who you can fide in,
not everyone can be trusted with your inner world. Your
days of seven Sagittarius, it's a good day to let
go of the word should.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
You don't owe the old version of you anything. Your
days an eight, Capricorn.
Speaker 9 (14:29):
You might feel like you're starting over, but what if
you're actually leveling up. Your day is a nine.
Speaker 17 (14:33):
Hey, Aquarius, you are trying to be the strong one
all the time. Let someone else carry that bag for
a while.
Speaker 1 (14:38):
Your days of.
Speaker 9 (14:38):
Six pieces, someone you trust will let you down, hold
space for the hurt, but don't trap yourself there. Your
days of five aries.
Speaker 17 (14:44):
You are exiting a week that has tested you, and
you're stronger for it.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
So close that door with gratitude and not grudges. Your
day's a nine Taurus.
Speaker 9 (14:52):
Your presence is quieter lately, but somehow more commanding. That's
called authority. Your days of seven Gemini.
Speaker 17 (14:57):
An idea you're ready to dismiss could turn in to
something significant, So ask questions first.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
Your day's a nine.
Speaker 9 (15:03):
Cancer your self advocy. Advocacy will pay off. If you
don't stand up for yourself, no one will. Your days an.
Speaker 17 (15:09):
Eight, Hey, Leo, you'll feel a strange burst of nostalgia today.
Don't get stuck there, but do let it warm you.
Your day's ten Virgo. You might get jealous of someone today.
Speaker 9 (15:17):
Instead of feeling bad about it, ask yourself, what's it
pointing you toward?
Speaker 3 (15:21):
Your days an eight?
Speaker 17 (15:22):
And finally, Libra, you're falling back in love with something
that used to drain you. This version of you is ready.
Your day's nine and those are Friday morning horscopes.
Speaker 6 (15:29):
So you know.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
Joni Mitchell, famous for many things back in the sixties seventies,
was huge, huge, huge performer and writer. She wrote a
song called both Sides Now.
Speaker 9 (15:36):
That's one of your favorites.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
The lyrics of the song really get me. And you
grow up as a kid looking at live through these colorful,
colorful Teninton glasses and everything's bright and fun, and then
one day life changes. Yeah, and those same things that
used to make you happy and laugh now make you sad.
For instance, they like the opening lines for both Sides Now,
(16:00):
rows and rows of angel hair and ice cream castles
up in the air, and feather canyons are everywhere. I
used to look at clouds that way, but now they
only block their sun, and they rain and they snow
on everyone. So many things I could have done, but
cloud's gone in my way. I've looked at clouds from
both sides now, from up and down, and still somehow
(16:22):
it's clouds illusions that I recall. I don't really know
clouds at all. And she talks about love and life,
how we become, and we talked about this the other day.
We become some cynical and jaded and just blah. The
older we get in, the more pain that we see
in the world, we let it affect us in a way.
We shouldn't do that. We have to remain kids. We
(16:44):
have to do hopscotch.
Speaker 9 (16:47):
That song is in a very popular scene from Love. Actually,
that is where I first learned that song, and it
makes total sense in the scene that it's sin. But
also if you ask your chat GPT to make a
playlist for you about what it thinks with some of
your life. That was one of the songs that popped online.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
Here you go. I was like, who both sides now?
Happy birthday to Joni Mitchel. How what do you have
coming up? Danielle.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
We're gonna talk about Timothy Shallamy's new Vogue cover. Yeah,
it's not getting good reviews. And the Grammy Award nominations
come out today today, Today Today.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Elvis Duran clop if you think she should suffer Elvis
Duran in the Morning Show text us at fifty five
one hundred standard data and messaging rates may apply. Elvis
Duran at the Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
Hey, Mickey has an interesting story. She texted in and
we called her back him Mickey, Hi, how are you
doing very well? Thank you, Good morning to you. I
don't have your text in front of me, but basically
I'm paraphrasing you said, come hella high water. My husband
and I are going to make our honeymoon cruise down
in Miami. You live in Philly, right, correct? Okay, so
(18:00):
you know that catching a plane and trying to be
on time for a cruise is frightening, especially in this
day and age where planes rarey take off and thank
god most of them land. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 18 (18:13):
Yeah, yeah, for sure. So we in order to just
be safe, we booked a flight two days before the cruise.
But at this point, with all the uncertainty, I said
to my husband, what happens if our flight gets canceled
or pushed back, pushed you know, delayed, delayed, delayed all day,
and ultimately canceled. He said, the second it gets delayed
or canceled, we're gonna get in the car and start
driving a girl.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
Yeah, that's so smart.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
Man makes a suggestion. It may cost a little more,
but that airline ticket you reserve, reserve refundable. It's going
to cost more, but if you end up having to drive,
you'll get all your money back and they don't even
ask you a question.
Speaker 15 (18:48):
We have refundable tickets, and we have a car booked.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
Look at that driving from Philly to Miami to catch
that catch that honeymoon cruise. I like that. You're planning ahead.
The thing is, he said, if he had.
Speaker 15 (19:01):
To start walking on Thanksgiving, he would.
Speaker 2 (19:03):
There you go. See, and is during that time of
year where there could be some weather issues as well.
So do you have four wheel drive?
Speaker 15 (19:11):
Good question. I just looked the car last night and.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
You got those changs. You're just going south.
Speaker 15 (19:17):
We're going south. We're going away from the bad weather, right, but.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
You're in the bad weather when you leave that for
every Look if you're going to cover your ass, cover
your ass man.
Speaker 15 (19:30):
Good point. Good point. I'll call Enterprise today.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
All right. So I checked out of my ways from
Philly to Miami to the port. It's about a seventeen
hour and twenty one minute drive.
Speaker 15 (19:42):
So yep, that was our calculation.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
Are you okay with road trips?
Speaker 3 (19:47):
Well that's a.
Speaker 15 (19:49):
Long one, but it's a good early marriage test.
Speaker 14 (19:54):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (19:54):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
And then when you fly you can just fly back.
You drop off the rental car and you fly back,
and who cares when you get back. I mean, as
long as you make it.
Speaker 2 (20:02):
How long is your cruise?
Speaker 15 (20:04):
It's a week?
Speaker 2 (20:05):
Okay, it's worth it. It's worth the drive, all right, it's.
Speaker 15 (20:08):
Worth it, absolutely worth it. And work smirk when I
get back, I get back right there?
Speaker 2 (20:12):
You go, work mark shmirk. Hey, you know, and you
hear the news today. I mean I I was delayed
three hours yesterday because you know there's air traffic controller problems.
Well not them, it's not their problem. It's the government's
not paying them. And you never know when something's going
to happen. So good. I love that you're going to
do this trip. I don't care work.
Speaker 15 (20:33):
We're doing it. We're doing it one way or another.
Speaker 18 (20:36):
We're going down.
Speaker 7 (20:37):
There are there.
Speaker 9 (20:39):
Other options just in case, like a train or a bus.
Speaker 15 (20:43):
Oh I suppose I haven't gotten that bar yet.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
Would you don't think gandhi? Would you do that? Would
you go take a bust to Miami.
Speaker 9 (20:51):
If it was to catch a cruise for my honeymoon? Absolutely?
Speaker 3 (20:54):
Yeah. You know what also makes me a little nervous.
Speaker 15 (20:57):
I think my husband would rather drive. He can't sit still,
you know, he's got to do something to keep out
or drive the whole darn drive.
Speaker 18 (21:05):
I'll probably just.
Speaker 8 (21:05):
Sleep all right.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
Well, you'll add add that commute, that seventeen hour drive
to the sum of the event. It's a part of
your honeymoon. You're going on a hoghymoon drive.
Speaker 15 (21:19):
Yes, it's the start, starting with a road trip, but
it's all good.
Speaker 3 (21:23):
Are you bringing a carry on or a check in
a bag? Because that always makes me nervous because if
they lose your luggage or something happens, that ship is
leaving no matter what. So it's like, how does that
luggage get to you? You know what I mean? If
you're going to a regular hotel in the area.
Speaker 15 (21:38):
She's got a point, so you know, that's another reason
why we why we decided to go down a couple
of days early. But that's never happened to me. Yeah,
and we're just gonna assume it won't.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
Well, look, Mickey, all the best to you, and I
know it's thanks so much. I know it's it's weeks away,
but please, would you at least text us or try
to get in touch with us and let us know
how you fair? We were really curious.
Speaker 15 (22:02):
Now I will absolutely follow up and thanks so much
you guys. Right in my morning every day.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
Thank you. What's your husband's name, Mickey, Michael, Michael? You
tell Michael Mickey and Michael. I love that. I'm sure
you've heard that. Tell him. We said, congratulations, enjoy your.
Speaker 15 (22:16):
Cruise, thanks so much.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
There is one thing we're not going to mention any names.
I did find out that you're you're cruising, but you're
not on our Norwegian, so maybe it's better you just
missed the cruise.
Speaker 15 (22:29):
And I have been on Norwegian and I love it.
Speaker 4 (22:31):
There you go ahead, a girl.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
If I have money, I'd move you over. I've been
on there you go all right? Well, thank you Mickey.
Now we love you even more. I have a safe
trip and happy honeymoon to you.
Speaker 18 (22:42):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
Fare well, bye bye, There you go. I know it's
just so weird, you know what. You walk into a room,
you flick flick a white light switch on and the
lights come on. You expect them to work. You go
to the airport, you expect the plane to take off
close to all time. I can I tell you an
on time flight I've been on in years. Have you
had an on time flight?
Speaker 7 (23:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (23:05):
I have, but I've also had way more delays lately
than ever before, and that is taking off and after
we land, just sitting on the tarmac for a while.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
I've had more cancelations, I think in the in the
past couple of months, I had two cancelations, which that's
a lot.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
The text are coming through. My flight was just canceled
in an hour ago. I'm jumping in a car and
driving to Fort Lauderdale. Wow, look at that. You know,
Amtrak goes to Miami. What's it like to take a
train to Miami?
Speaker 9 (23:31):
Ask my dad, He'll tell you.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
I mean, is it like the Is it like the
Orient Express where they have you have your own special
state car? Is there a bar car and a dinner
car and the waiters come out in tuxedos on amtrack.
Speaker 9 (23:45):
So they have all different types of service. They do
have some to have the little rooms, but they're not
the luxury room that you would think. It's like the
showers over the toilet type of thing.
Speaker 2 (23:53):
Well, you know, at least in the I guess the
Murder Express vein we should be allowed to murder one
person on a tree.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
Oh, always take it through.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
What a great business, Hello, coming up the ideas, million
dollar ideas. I murdered train anyway, so do we do
Daniel's report? Yeah, well, okay, I was so excited about
the Danielle report. All right, so now Danielle, you have
time to make it even better. Thanks Danielle.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
Next, I'm done in the Morning show.
Speaker 2 (24:26):

Speaker 1 (24:39):
C oh my god, elis morning.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
Can I tell you how excited I am about Trish
uh Yearwood. I call her Trish Trisha Yearwood's coming in
and just a little bit. I love watching her cooking show,
by the way, and she she's got a Christmas album out.
Speaker 3 (25:01):
Yeah, she's very holiday right now. Everything on her Instagram
is all holiday. It's so cute.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
And you know what Nate said, You know, I've heard
some of the songs from her Christmas album. I like
these songs because they're very classic Christmas songs, like old
fashioned Christmas songs.
Speaker 13 (25:14):
They're classic sounding. I don't like new Christmas songs. Am
I like being an old fuddy duddy.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
Well, I like the classics.
Speaker 13 (25:20):
I like, you don't like my share song Hello, No,
that has a small place in my heart. But when
it sounds like old classic Christmas songs, right, and that's.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
What this album sounds. Okay, it sounds great. She's coming in,
Tricia Yearwood. Love her for many reason. She'll be in,
which is coming in like an hour from now and
a half. Oh god it could you make her hurry?
Speaker 6 (25:41):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (25:42):
Man? I miss I miss Tricia Yearwood never matterr. But
I miss her. She's coming in, She's coming in. Let's
get into the Danielle Report. So much happening over there.
What's happening Danielle?
Speaker 3 (25:51):
Well, first of all, did you guys watch Wicked one
wonderful night last week? I did not, Hello, it was wonderful.
I cried many times. Thirty seven Piece Orchestra, Kristin Chenowith
and Dina Manzelle showed up. When they were singing for Good,
I swear Ariana and uh Cynthia Arrivo looked at each
other like they really did love each other, like it
(26:11):
is genuine friendship. And I think they do. But just acting, No,
I think they do good actors, guys, I think they do.
It's very special it was really special. Anyway, it's moving on.
All right, let's talk about Timothy Shallamy, cause I'm trying
to say something nice and you guys.
Speaker 2 (26:28):
Are like, okay, you're right, we crapt all over it.
Speaker 3 (26:31):
Yes, anyway, let's talk about Timothy Shallamy.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
They love each other.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
I think they do.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
Talk about Timothy. How can we ruin this?
Speaker 3 (26:36):
Okay, there's no I'm not sure you can ruin this
because it's already ruined. This is his Vogue cover. They
are saying this is the worst Vogue cover ever to
be on Vogue. Why because it doesn't do him any
justice at all, I don't think anyway. They're saying that
(26:57):
it looks like someone just photoshopped it, that it's sad,
it's garbage, it's something from a kid who was in
his room doing stuff with his computer.
Speaker 2 (27:05):
Yeah, you know, you're all over your story.
Speaker 3 (27:08):
See now, that's not from me, that's from everyone else.
I'm just saying that's what people are saying. Gremlins came
out in nineteen eighty four, was a huge hit. Gremlins
two came out in nineteen ninety and it wasn't that great.
But Gremlins three, how will that be it'll hit theaters
November nineteenth, twenty twenty seven, so we will see Offset
apparently rejecting Cardi B's ten million dollar divorce settlement. He
(27:30):
demands half of their shared assets. A source at All
Hip Hop says that he feels used, saying that he
built the brand with her and now he wants his cut. So, uh,
I guess, Diddy, Oh he's such a hag? Not Didty Offset?
Speaker 13 (27:48):
No?
Speaker 2 (27:48):
Did he?
Speaker 1 (27:49):
I know?
Speaker 3 (27:50):
God kidding? He did not?
Speaker 2 (27:52):
Is that your a material? All right?
Speaker 3 (27:55):
Grammy nominations coming out today. Sabrina Carpenter, Chapel Roone, Brandy,
Carl Docy, and Moore will announce the Knobs on a
live stream today eleven am Eastern Time. You can watch
it also on the Recording Academies YouTube channel. Jennifer Lawrence
admitted that she secretly argues with people online using a
fake TikTok account.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
Gandhi does that?
Speaker 5 (28:17):
I seem?
Speaker 3 (28:18):
She says. It started with the Kardashians because people were
debating her, and then she started commenting on the royal
family and so she gets pissed off and she goes
at people, but they have no idea to her. I
love that. And then what are we watching? There's a
lot on just Oh. Frankenstein, by the way, is on
Netflix right now in select theaters as well. I know
you wanted that, and that's my Daniel.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
Juju said, it's just okay, but you just still go
see it. I want to see Frankenstein. Hey, so there's
a spanking party going on in Houston, the Spanking Convention,
the Lone Star Spanking Fete, whatever it is. I want
to get into that. In a minute, give you nine minutes.
We're talking about a spanking party. Here's the problem. A
lot of people having to catch flights to get to
Houston for the big spank off. They can't make it.
(28:59):
Oh so can we anyway? Have you heard of this
big spanking convention?
Speaker 3 (29:04):
This is new.
Speaker 9 (29:04):
I'm excited. I have a lot of questions.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
I'm not really into being spanked or spanking any one,
but I can't see how if you are WHOA, Houston's
your place? This weekend will help into that. In nine minutes,
if you need a countdown, are we rowing?
Speaker 1 (29:17):
I want to hear something slightly more unhinged in the
morning show. Elvister Rand's After Party, a podcast we record
daily when the Morning Show is finished. He is literally
Pastry Elster Rands after party. Listen on the iHeartRadio app
or wherever you get your podcasts in the morning show.
Speaker 2 (29:40):
So looking at your texts, you can text us if
you want it. Fifty five one hundred someone texted through.
You're talking about how planes are being delayed with the
air traffic control issues or whatever. I have got to
catch my plane to Houston. This is the weekend of
the Lone Star Spanking Party.
Speaker 9 (29:56):
You don't want to miss that.
Speaker 2 (29:57):
No, no, you don't, especially if you bought tickets. So
I've been looking into this. Being from the lone Star state,
myself never knew we had one of these going on
down in Houston, the Texas Lone Star Spanking Party. It's
this weekend and they do all sorts of things. You register.
They also check you for COVID. They test you only yeah,
(30:19):
they're checking for They have a cocktail social, a meet
and greet, pizza party, and then the spanking begins. Registration's
going on. They do have one little place you can
go to called the Principal's Office.
Speaker 9 (30:32):
Well, so you sign up to go get spanked, or
you sign up to do the spanking.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
I'm glad you. Well, there's there's spankers and Spankey's. Yes, now,
if you want to get spanked, everyone's welcome, but spankers
they need to vet the spankers. They need to make
sure they know what they're dealing with.
Speaker 9 (30:53):
Like, you don't want like a giant dude coming in
and just writing.
Speaker 2 (30:55):
Terror someone going to rogue. Yeah, Large March is here
to spank you, Large March. Well, yes, Nate, I'm really
getting into this. Stop there.
Speaker 13 (31:07):
If you're a they use the term top if you're
a spanker, yes, not a spanky, but apparently there's a
force scale that they really.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
Is that like the thing at the carnival where you
hit them with a mallet and it hits the bell.
Speaker 4 (31:20):
Looking at one of.
Speaker 13 (31:21):
These events, you cannot you cannot spank above an eight, right,
I don't know what that means on the spank level.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
We don't just spanarometer eight is ten the highest.
Speaker 13 (31:30):
I'm assuming all paddle paddlings are pre set at an
eight with.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
Pre set meetings. There's some machines. Well, okay, so they
can do a ten with underwear and eight with underwear down. Okay,
so they have okay in the San Antonio room they
have demos and classes for authentic Scandinavian birching where they
take I guess birch levy.
Speaker 3 (31:53):
Oh my gosh, that hurts.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
Then they then they have another one this is it's
called age play. This would be for you, Nate, because
you like older women from littles and midles to grandma's
and grandpa's you can spank each other. Oh, they have
a role play seminar or the Art of the Art
of Sensual Spanking. Okay, maybe that's a good starter with Okay.
Then they the next day you can go back to
(32:16):
the principal's office for I don't I don't know what's
going on in there.
Speaker 9 (32:19):
Wow, I just want to like the demo that goes
to this. Is it a bunch of like Wall Street
guys that just want to be punished?
Speaker 7 (32:25):
Is it?
Speaker 2 (32:25):
I don't know what is it?
Speaker 7 (32:27):
Well?
Speaker 2 (32:27):
Who would go to this this session called detention? Would
they be Wall Street guys?
Speaker 9 (32:34):
It seems like it would be a bunch of that type.
I don't know, Like, does anyone in here have an
innate desire to get spanked?
Speaker 6 (32:39):
No?
Speaker 2 (32:40):
I don't nor spank, of course, scary would I don't
want to do spanking? Because I feel like if you
just say you do.
Speaker 19 (32:47):
I don't want to spank people because I feel like
I don't know the power of my own hands.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
I don't want to hurt anybody. I know they have
this spank cometor they have to check your space. I
would I'm curious just to get spanks.
Speaker 3 (32:57):
Oh you are Robin.
Speaker 2 (33:01):
Oh, it's so funny that you have a butt here
and I've got a hand. Don't remember when Great t
was here, we used to do spanky. Ok I would
spank a song on his rear end and people have
to guess what it was.
Speaker 7 (33:12):
How did that go?
Speaker 2 (33:14):
Scary?
Speaker 9 (33:14):
Can bring it back today?
Speaker 2 (33:15):
Spanky? No? No? We have guests. Okay, but on Saturday
at the Long Star Spanking Fest, they have a Bratwurst breakfast.
Speaker 3 (33:27):
What what?
Speaker 13 (33:30):
I don't know who this Johnny lake Fellow is, but
he's he's the Florida paddler. Yeah, he's all over this.
I can't click on it because it goes to a
site that we can't access on our computer.
Speaker 9 (33:42):
Oh I can. I got the work around.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
I don't know anyway. So that's what's going on. If
you're the whole point of this conversation is you know
you may miss your flight, so if you got your tickets,
you better call Houston let him know you're you're late.
Speaker 9 (33:57):
What do you think the carry on of somebody going to.
Speaker 2 (33:59):
This just got to bring your hand? Okay, moving on?
Can we talk about something more wholesome like the I mean,
we really switch gears like heavy duty. Yesterday, I believe,
was the opening performance of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.
Speaker 9 (34:19):
I want to go. I've never been how.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
Many years, Lauren? How many years has it been going on?
You know how many years has it been going on?
It's one hundred years. You have the rock cats, or
one hundred years old some of them are. Some of
those old gals have been jopping. They've been kicking.
Speaker 3 (34:33):
They can still kick.
Speaker 2 (34:33):
They've been kicking the bell for years. Anyway, Lauren, of course,
Lauren everyone the voice of the Elvis Strained Morning Show
and sometimes Morning Star across the street.
Speaker 1 (34:45):
I have a weird life.
Speaker 2 (34:46):
You have a great life. So who'd you bring with
you today?
Speaker 6 (34:49):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (34:49):
Sophie, come here?
Speaker 20 (34:50):
Hi?
Speaker 2 (34:50):
Sophie.
Speaker 1 (34:51):
Sophie is my daughter. She is almost seven. Can you
say hi?
Speaker 2 (34:54):
We remember Sophie's birth? Hi, Hi, Sophie.
Speaker 3 (34:58):
Hi, there she is I'm been telling you she is
so Lauren. She says to Lauren before, Hey Mom, when
were you going to tell me about my long lost sister.
You don't have a long lost sister.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
What happened?
Speaker 1 (35:10):
That's a great question. Don't know. I don't have one.
Speaker 2 (35:13):
So the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, you know, there is
an uproar this year about the Nativity scene because they
use live animals. They I know, Alec Baldwin and some
other people are heavy duty, let's go blast them. So
they had people up front, right you.
Speaker 1 (35:27):
Know, We're walking in yesterday and it's Sophie and me
and all these other little kids, and they're like, do
use a port on them? I was like, okay, no,
I don't.
Speaker 9 (35:34):
I was like, first of all, I had no idea.
Speaker 1 (35:37):
Well, yeah, I had no idea they had even a
Nativity scene. The whole had no clue because I I
don't think I've seen this show before. Maybe if I did,
I was a really little kid. So I was like, hey, no,
I don't. I'm so sorry, Like I will now go
back and research. I had no idea.
Speaker 8 (35:55):
So there's a little bit weird.
Speaker 2 (35:55):
To walk in with your child going to see the
Christmas Spectacular and you know people pick it up. Why
you you're laughing gaudy because you don't have a kid.
Speaker 8 (36:03):
I know.
Speaker 9 (36:04):
I'm just picturing like this joyous moment with all these
children walking in and these like monstrous protesters throwing paint
at someone.
Speaker 3 (36:09):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
I know I was afraid there would be paint.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
I will tell you. We have been backstage many years,
many times at the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and you
know you'll be standing there just waiting for your queue
to go on stage and welcome everyone whatever. Yeah, we
would host some nights and then a camel would buy
a crap on your shoes.
Speaker 1 (36:27):
I know, honestly, I swear to god, I had no clue.
And now that I know, I think that's where they live.
It's I got again. I'll do more research. I'll look
into it. Maybe that was the one and only time
will go. But it was so she's so cute. She
doesn't stop talking, just like me. But it was incredible.
It was like, Okay, oh boy.
Speaker 2 (36:51):
Wow, we're gonna go back to the spanking conversation. I
love the Radio City Christmas Spectacular because it's it's it's
a New York edition. I mean, it's been around for
a billion years, and you know, Santa Claus comes out
and they you know, the dancer and dancers and the singers.
You've been right gond to No, I've never been.
Speaker 9 (37:08):
I really want to go there.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
You really have to go. I'll take you. They have
afternoon performances, don't.
Speaker 1 (37:12):
They they do. We did the three o'clock yesterday, which,
as you mentioned earlier, was the very, very very first
show of this particular season, and it was just so
cool and honestly, I sat there I cried the entire time,
which sounds ridiculous, but these people are living their dreams.
Some of them it was their very first show ever
performing at Radio City. I mean, as I was a
(37:32):
kid growing up, always wanting to be a performer. So
I was crying.
Speaker 7 (37:36):
Oh it was.
Speaker 2 (37:37):
It was awesome. It's a beautiful show.
Speaker 3 (37:38):
My mom is going with her Golden Age group. I
think they're taking a big bus strip into the city there.
Speaker 2 (37:43):
So well, if we actually sent them to the spanking convension,
oh no, all right, so it is. I know that
every time I have guests in New York City during
the holidays, I have to take them to the Radio
City Christmas Spectacular, you know, and every great city has
that yearly thing they do, you know, and that's ours.
And then that little old tree around the corner.
Speaker 1 (38:04):
Yeah that wasn't up yet, which I was part of
the appeal yesterday. I was like, okay, good, its.
Speaker 2 (38:08):
Way, it's on the highway right now.
Speaker 1 (38:11):
Where's it from this year?
Speaker 7 (38:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (38:15):
Nice, it's always from this great state of the ar
isn't always from New York, I don't know, it's from Albany. Yeah, hey,
so I'm sorry, East green Bush. The Radio City Christmas
Spectacular just started. Make sure you get tickets. It is,
it's worth seeing. Yeah, it was incredible, but I will
tell you when then when the Nativity scene pops, there
(38:38):
are people who who are not into it. They will
get up and leave. They will leave the performance because
Jesus is on the state.
Speaker 3 (38:46):
I always think it's the most beautiful thing because it's
a living nativity. And to me, I'm like, I'm mesmerized
by it. To me, it's the most beautiful thing to
see every time.
Speaker 2 (38:54):
It is because you're usually the only nativity you see
is in people's front yards. Lastic. Yeah, but they have
Jesus and they they got the Wise Men, and then
they have like Frosty the Snowman, which I never I
never read about him in Bethlehem.
Speaker 9 (39:08):
I don't think he was there.
Speaker 2 (39:09):
Was he there?
Speaker 8 (39:10):
But I was there?
Speaker 2 (39:11):
Room at the end for me, for Rudeolph. I don't
know so anyway, But yeah, it's it's what it is.
It's been there for one hundred years and they haven't
changed it at all.
Speaker 1 (39:24):
It's part of the show that's we're not religious, but
it was still beautiful to watch. You don't have to
walk out. Just wait till the next scene.
Speaker 2 (39:31):
God, he's ready to protest.
Speaker 9 (39:33):
Yeah, I'll be walking out.
Speaker 2 (39:34):
No.
Speaker 9 (39:35):
Personally, I understand how people people feel, however they feel.
I would not go to a Christmas spectacular and then
be surprised or offended that Jesus was part of the
Y know what you're walking into.
Speaker 2 (39:47):
Uh, but it's a new it's a New York show.
It is so New York. You get on a bus,
you travel up all around New York City. You go
by Macy's and it's great. They go by the Elvis
Straight Morning Show. We're wavy. You've seen that scene, right,
We're waving.
Speaker 1 (40:02):
They have all this tech now too, and so it
all sort of comes out into the actual theater where
you're sitting. So it was they added something. I don't
know if it's new this year, but there's like it's
not a surprise, but there's little things that fly. I'll
just leave it at the end. It's so cool.
Speaker 2 (40:15):
But they also have that famous scene where all the
racats come out dressed as the tens the filters and
they slowly all fall on the ground.
Speaker 13 (40:24):
Cool.
Speaker 1 (40:25):
Yep, are these spoiler alerts now iconic?
Speaker 3 (40:31):
They have to put on a wig and go with
the blue haired people with my mom.
Speaker 2 (40:34):
I'm sure there's some fake red haired people in that
group anyway, Lauren, we love that you're here to see us.
Speaker 1 (40:39):
Yeah, thanks for letting us stop by. We did an
overnight mommy daughter overnight, and my kid is slowly expiring,
so we'll be out of your hair in a second.
Speaker 2 (40:47):
Have we done on time? Do we have time for Lisa? Okay,
I feel weird having a child in the room, but
we're going back to spanking.
Speaker 13 (40:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (40:53):
No, it's okay, we're gonna get out of here. I
love you, guys, I love you.
Speaker 3 (40:58):
Take another cookie?
Speaker 2 (41:00):
Yeah, I guess I'm cooky all right? Going from the
Radio City Christmas Spctacular to the spanking Convention in Texas.
She's you're forcibly carrying your daughter out of the conversation.
Myselfie will love you, she said, Now she wants to
hear this. Hey, good, that's okay. A lot of kids
(41:21):
have been spank they understand it.
Speaker 21 (41:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (41:23):
No, good morning, Good morning, Lisa, Good morning, thank you
for holding on so long. Hey have you heard about
this lone star uh spanking convention going on in Texas
this weekend?
Speaker 14 (41:35):
Not until this morning?
Speaker 2 (41:37):
Now have you ever been to like such a big extravagance.
I mean, it's an entire weekend of thrills.
Speaker 14 (41:44):
I've never heard, never heard of anything like that. But
I absolutely would love to go to see what it's
all about.
Speaker 2 (41:49):
Absolutely, So you're into spanking. Spanking is a thing with you,
So are your top leor bottom?
Speaker 14 (41:55):
See, I'm both that playable parts.
Speaker 2 (41:57):
So you can just say stay home and spank yourself
and never relieve.
Speaker 14 (41:59):
That sometimes you know, only on Tuesday though, So when
it comes to the spank, I do love it, but
I tend to be the one to mostly receive it
and give it because not a lot of people like
it too much. So I tend to be the one
that receives it a lot and I love it. Okay, pleasure,
it's the same.
Speaker 9 (42:16):
What is the conversation like when it comes to this,
do you just bring it out and say, hey, I
like being spanked or do you like do it to someone.
Speaker 2 (42:22):
You're like a first date conversation.
Speaker 14 (42:26):
It's never really a first date conversation. You lealy something
that leads up to it, you leave something that's planned
so when it does happen. Usually role plays in ball,
we have a name that you want to call the person,
and there's also a safe word so you don't break character.
Speaker 1 (42:37):
What's your safe with me? Anyway?
Speaker 2 (42:39):
Give a safe I can't tell you that mine is harder. Okay,
So we could roll play and come up with names.
I would be something like I would. I've tried this
before and I told someone to call me daddy and
they called me Debbie. They called me they called me Debbie,
and it just didn't land right.
Speaker 9 (42:58):
That'd be weird.
Speaker 2 (43:00):
I never I have not done that ever again.
Speaker 14 (43:02):
To kill the mood a little bit. That kind of
killed the mood a little bit. I've been told people
to call or a sports names daddy, mistress. E was
an interesting one like that. One can borrow that that.
That was an interesting night.
Speaker 17 (43:18):
That was Yeah.
Speaker 2 (43:18):
But I just find it interesting that there are so
many people just like you and listening right now as well, Lisa,
that are so into it. They actually have conventions for
you and this one going on in Texas. This one
in Texas. Huh yeah, well, I see. I don't. I
think that the movement for the banking movement is such
a it's a big thing. It's it's it's not a
(43:39):
it's not a niche niche thing. I mean, it's big.
So there's a lot of people that would love to
go to a convention. I understand why they're having that
in Houston. Don't know why I.
Speaker 14 (43:51):
Can't go, but it sounds funny. They have a No
One next year. I'll look into it for sure.
Speaker 2 (43:55):
It's yearly. It's yearly lone Stars Banking or something. I
don't know. But thanks for listening to us, Lisa.
Speaker 7 (44:03):
Thank you guy.
Speaker 14 (44:04):
You have a blessed day.
Speaker 2 (44:05):
You too, there you go, Wow, no apologies at all.
I love that.
Speaker 4 (44:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (44:10):
If everyone's into it, good, as long as you got
two consenting parties. Spank the crap out of each other. Great,
send me pictures.
Speaker 2 (44:17):
Yeah. Have you ever dated someone who tried to pull
that on you?
Speaker 13 (44:21):
Nope?
Speaker 2 (44:22):
Nate, have you ever dated someone who tried to pull
that on you? Me being spanked? Yeah?
Speaker 13 (44:28):
Now or another way around. Really, I've spanked on a cage.
You have, haven't we all?
Speaker 3 (44:35):
I'm sorry, but I can't take you seriously when if
you want to spank some one, I can't take you seriously.
I don't know why I have not dated.
Speaker 9 (44:41):
Any men who have been like, spank me baby, Not
that there's anything wrong with it. I just none of
the guys that I've dated have been into that way.
Speaker 2 (44:48):
But it is. See, you're we're talking about two different things.
We're talking about. Okay, I'm going to meet you maybe
through a spanking website or or hey, by the way,
I want to let you know before we go any
further with this relationship. I'm into spanking. Yeah. Or there's
like you're just getting into whatever you're getting into and
it gets hot and heavy then bow whoa. Okay, it
(45:09):
just kind of fit the moment. Yes, sometimes there's a
request and I'm happy to oblige. It's not written into
a script. Okay. In ten minutes you need to spank me. No,
it happens because look at Diamond. Diamond is being very
quiet about this. Diamond.
Speaker 20 (45:25):
Nate saying that he spanked on occasion literally made my
stomach turn and I'm trying not to throw.
Speaker 3 (45:30):
Off you look at him and you're like, no, you
laugh right, Like, I.
Speaker 20 (45:35):
Just don't want to think of any of you guys
doing anything like that.
Speaker 2 (45:40):
It's just like, what what do you want us thinking
about you doing that?
Speaker 1 (45:42):
No?
Speaker 9 (45:42):
No, I think about it all the time.
Speaker 2 (45:45):
Sick that spanking all the time.
Speaker 9 (45:47):
No, I just like if someone's talking about whatever, So
like I am at this moment picturing Nate spanking someone,
I feel.
Speaker 3 (45:53):
Like, why are you not cracking up loud?
Speaker 2 (45:57):
You guys, I think you have this misconception. It's not
like somebody's bent over my knee and I'm giving them,
you know, a spanking. Do it then shows how you
did it.
Speaker 9 (46:06):
There's there's a moment happening, and in the moment, you
do it.
Speaker 2 (46:09):
Yes, that's it, That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 16 (46:11):
Yeah, is on the snoopy doll.
Speaker 2 (46:12):
No God, no, Scotty, given the snoopy doll. Scotty, you're
a little freaky, are you? Do you ever do that
to the snoopy doll? No? What is spanking in your
in your list of saying you know what?
Speaker 1 (46:25):
No?
Speaker 22 (46:26):
I think I might want to watch it, but I
don't want to partake. Okay, okay, yeah, Why are you
cracking up?
Speaker 2 (46:32):
Diamond?
Speaker 7 (46:34):
I'm sorry?
Speaker 22 (46:35):
I mean I slapp my butt every time I get
out of the shower, but I don't want someone to
do what.
Speaker 2 (46:39):
It's weird. I don't know.
Speaker 22 (46:40):
I get out of the shower, I look in the mirror,
I smack my butt and I put the towel on.
Speaker 2 (46:45):
I don't know why. It's the thing I do.
Speaker 9 (46:46):
Surprise, But now I too, am sick like Diamond?
Speaker 2 (46:52):
Are you guys? Look at Diamond? Diamond is cracking up.
You're wigging, You are wigging out. Look at her? What's
what's so funny?
Speaker 20 (47:03):
Just like from Nate to Scottie. I can't it's scary.
Don't say anything.
Speaker 5 (47:08):
Please.
Speaker 3 (47:11):
One person you think would spank the guys, I think
it would be Josh.
Speaker 9 (47:16):
Oh, for sure, Josh.
Speaker 2 (47:18):
It might be Andrew, or maybe both of them.
Speaker 9 (47:22):
If there was one of the girls here, it would
be Diamond. Diamond wants to like she wants to have kids.
Because she wants to spank people.
Speaker 2 (47:28):
Oh yeah, I can tell you're a spanker.
Speaker 9 (47:30):
Oh yeah, for sure, I love it.
Speaker 19 (47:33):
I just want how boring are you am?
Speaker 2 (47:36):
That doesn't mean you're boring. We'll get into different things.
It doesn't mean you're boring at all. Not abby you.
All right, let's let's go, let's let's move on. Thanks
to us. Look, we have a thousand dollars free money
phone tap on the way, Tricia yearwould what's she coming in? God?
I hope she's not listening to this?
Speaker 7 (47:57):
She is?
Speaker 2 (47:57):
She may not be coming in now. I hope she
is the all lover. I have to talk to her
about her dill pickle popcorn.
Speaker 3 (48:04):
Oh wow, okay, that sounds delicious.
Speaker 2 (48:05):
We got to get into that later, into the three
things we need to know? Gandhi, what's going on?
Speaker 3 (48:11):
All right?
Speaker 9 (48:11):
It's day thirty eight of the longest government shut down
in American history, and starting today, thousands of flights are
being scrapped at dozens of the nation's busiest airports.
Speaker 1 (48:19):
This all comes as.
Speaker 9 (48:20):
Air traffic controllers and TSA agents continue to work while
not getting paid. The Secretary of Transportation says the flight
reductions are in line with putting safety first. Meanwhile, a
federal judge has ordered the Trump administration to pay full
November snap benefits today, saying people are relying on food assistants,
have gone without food for too long and something needs
to happen. The Trump administration has given notice that it
(48:42):
will appeal.
Speaker 2 (48:43):
By the way, feeding America dot org go to Feeding
America dot org. If you don't know of an organization
in your community, in your town, in your city that

has evaporated. Please find a way to donate. You need
(49:07):
to do that, all right, meg.
Speaker 9 (49:09):
Deal, All right? So, I don't know if you guys
have been following along with this story, it's very sad.
Texas police say Dallas Cowboys player Marshaan Neland is dead
after the result of suicide at age twenty four. First
couple of police departments. They say that he was found
early Thursday morning after a multi agency search following a
car chase. Officers from Plano Police Department responded Wednesday night
to a welfare check requested by his girlfriend, but they
(49:31):
could not make contact. Neiland had reportedly expressed suicidal thoughts.
He was selected in the second round of the twenty
twenty four NFL Draft Draft out of Western Michigan and
scored a touchdown in the team's game on Monday night.
The Cowboys called him a beloved teammate and member of
the organization. And finally we talked about this yesterday. But
Elon Musk's path to becoming the world's first trillionaire is
(49:53):
more clear today after a vote of confidence. But he
still needs to deliver. Tesla's shareholders approved the pay packaged Thursday,
but only if the company hits really ambitious milestones. Tesla's
value must rise dramatically. Twenty million cars must be delivered,
and Elon Musk must deploy one million humanoid robots. If
he does these things, he will become a trillionaire. And
(50:15):
those are your three things.
Speaker 2 (50:16):
God, can you imagine?
Speaker 9 (50:17):
I'm concerned about this one million humanoid robots?
Speaker 6 (50:20):
What do you mean?
Speaker 9 (50:20):
Deploy one million?
Speaker 13 (50:21):
Two?
Speaker 2 (50:21):
And where are you sitting?
Speaker 13 (50:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (50:24):
I don't like that.
Speaker 2 (50:25):
Send them to this banking convention.
Speaker 9 (50:28):

She shouldn't have done that.
Speaker 21 (53:19):
Yeah. I mean, listen, I'm the customer and I've not
been treated very nicely.
Speaker 3 (53:24):
Well, see, according to the according to my paperwork here,
they said that you had the attitude problem.
Speaker 21 (53:29):
Well, you don't say that to someone I understand paying
thousands of dollars.
Speaker 3 (53:34):
I mean, honestly, unless you're like a celebrity. You know,
we're not going to give you special treatment. If you
were somebody, then maybe, but you know.
Speaker 21 (53:41):
If I was somebody?
Speaker 8 (53:44):
How why?
Speaker 21 (53:46):
Why anything so rude? You know what, I'm gonna write
a letter. Maybe I don't know what the better biggest.
I don't know what I'm gonna do, but I really
if I'm not difficult, and you guys are so rude
to me, I was recommended to you guys. Can I
just have my money back?
Speaker 7 (54:01):

Speaker 21 (54:23):
Okay, all right, you know what, I'm usually I'm a
very nice person and I'm very very tolerable, but this
is just ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (54:32):

to tell you that.
Speaker 21 (54:36):
You're very very very very rude. Now now, persing and

Speaker 20 (54:56):
Rude?
Speaker 3 (54:57):
You know most of them do end in divorce, so
you have to keep that in mind that the next
one will be easier.
Speaker 18 (55:01):
Are you serious?
Speaker 3 (55:03):
I'm serious?
Speaker 21 (55:04):
Okay, Okay, Now what do I do?
Speaker 3 (55:06):

Speaker 8 (55:10):
Hello? Baby?
Speaker 21 (55:11):
So I get a phone call from her and maybe
she's like, well, we can't make two arrangements. She goes,
unless you're a celebrity, we're not going to treat you special.
So what's going on? So we can't have the two
sign now? We can't have to I want money back? Oh?
This is like I was like at this point, I
(55:32):

what to do. Probably, no, we can't get a frigging
money back. So rude, Chris. They're calling me right now?

doing with the government shut down and everything in life.
I was in the airport yesterday trying to get home
from Miami, and I was delayed like two or three hours.

(01:00:13):
They had some Salci music playing in the background. Was
at the bar, like whoa. I got mad and I
had to get up and get on my plane. I'm like,
damn bad. Anyway, I could see how nightmares this will
be if it, you know, if something like this happens
during the holidays. Because the airport last night was really packed.

Speaker 9 (01:01:11):
No, I'm with Danielle. We actually, not too long ago,
we did an event near Times Square, and the two
of us after we're.
Speaker 1 (01:01:17):
Like, let's go check out Time Square tent all.
Speaker 3 (01:01:20):
We'll keep them.
Speaker 2 (01:01:21):
I haven't been a time. I haven't been to Times
Square since I think JFK was president.
Speaker 3 (01:01:25):
Oh geez, I.
Speaker 9 (01:01:25):
Always wonder through this stuff. It's so far hasn't gotten old.
Speaker 2 (01:01:30):
What what it was nineteen sixty two, you weren't even alive.
I wasn't even you weren't even alive. I'm exaggerating Times
Square when you live in New York and you just
want to get from point A to point B as
fast as possible. Times Square should not be in your
in your trajectory, not to.
Speaker 3 (01:01:45):
Drive no, drive down, definitely not.
Speaker 9 (01:01:48):
But yeah, the traffic is crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:01:50):
But if you have friends in town, you walk through
Times Square as fast as you can, and then you
get to the Rockefeller Tree and you're like, okay, let's
take a picture and then run run like.
Speaker 3 (01:01:59):
It's And I like all the people because people come
from so many different parts of the world and it's
nice to see everybody going for the same reason and
getting along and enjoying and the lights and the.
Speaker 2 (01:02:08):
I don't know, you were the modern day statue of liberty.
Speaker 3 (01:02:11):
I really yeah, I absolutely love it. I love every
bit of it.
Speaker 2 (01:02:15):
What are you doing?
Speaker 13 (01:02:15):
I think you may have been conceived around the time
that JFK was no longer with us.
Speaker 2 (01:02:20):
Yeah, I was conceived her on Christmas time. It was
after he passed away at the Fountain Blue Hood. I
know exactly what day it was. I was conceived in
what room I slept in the room I was conceived in,
so strange, So there you go. Why did you look
at me like that?
Speaker 9 (01:02:34):
I don't know, because I'm interested that you know that information, like,
how did that come up in conversation? Hey, so we
did it at this time, and that's where you came
from in this room, my.
Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
Mom says she knows for a fat Okay, apparently I
don't know. I didn't ask beyond that, but I know
where they were, what room they were in, and I
told you the story. My husband, Alex, his grandfather was
in charge of the bar at the Fountain Blue. So
my husband's grandfather got my parents drunk. They went upstairs
popped out a kid. Not that night, but you know,
(01:03:06):
popped in a kid. Whatever. Can we move on? Please?
I love how you're doing the math though with his fingers.
Speaker 13 (01:03:19):
I think it's around because if it's nine months, how
does that work?
Speaker 3 (01:03:22):
Nine months?
Speaker 5 (01:03:24):
I think.
Speaker 2 (01:03:26):
I was worn in August. They were doing the holiday season.
That's all I know. Can we move on, please? I'm
begging you if we can move on. Hey, Tricia Yearwood
is here. She's down the hall. Uh so much to
talk about this new Christmas album called Christmas Time. We're
gonna play some music from that. She's actually going on
the road with the Symphony Orchestra that she's put together.
(01:03:49):
It's the twelve days of Christmas Symphony tour. Can you
imagine singing in front of a symphony orchestra? God, my
rule is everyone's real should We don't leave the house
without your own symphony orchestra following it. So she's gonna
be here to talk about that, and also I have
to talk to her about my favorite cornbread chili casserole.
(01:04:11):
What are we doing here around the room? Can we
do that? Yeah? Around the room? What's on the minds
of people in this room? Gandhi, I'm starting with you today,
number one.
Speaker 5 (01:04:19):
Go.
Speaker 9 (01:04:19):
I think it's really nice when somebody gets you a
tiny gift because they said, hey, this made me think
of you. It feels like a huge it feels like
I'm saying I love you. And our boy Nate did
that this morning for me. He came in and said
he was at Nordstrom Rak yesterday and he saw something
that reminded him of me, so he bought it. I'm
gonna hold it up for the room.
Speaker 2 (01:04:36):
It's a T shirt that says splash splash, your opinion
is trash, and.
Speaker 1 (01:04:39):
It's a raccoon in a bathtime.
Speaker 2 (01:04:43):
There's so much to unpack here it is, but I
think it's.
Speaker 9 (01:04:46):
So nice, and I would like to encourage more people
to do that for someone. If you think of them
and you see something little, just give.
Speaker 1 (01:04:50):
Them a little gift.
Speaker 9 (01:04:50):
It's so nice.
Speaker 2 (01:04:51):
There you go, Thanks Nate, You're welcome. Great, Thank you, Nate.
You're a good guy. Let's go to Producer Sam's microphone.
Do you know who what it is? Let's push the
B and turn it on. There you go, Hi, Producer Sandwich.
On your mind today.
Speaker 17 (01:05:02):
Kay, no matter where you are in life, if you
have a fur baby of sorts, please take the time
to celebrate them when it's time. Because this weekend is
all about my dogs of Anna, because we've officially had
her for five years and she's both of our favorite things,
like me and my husband both I think love her
more than each other, and.
Speaker 9 (01:05:19):
We've accepted that and that's okay, that's.
Speaker 1 (01:05:21):
Fine, that's great.
Speaker 17 (01:05:22):
So we're gonna go give her a real beach and
hike and toy shopping and chicken dinner birthday celebration and
it's gonna be something I hope we think about all
the time for the.
Speaker 16 (01:05:31):
Rest of our lives.
Speaker 17 (01:05:31):
So celebrate your fur babies no matter where you are
in life. They deserve it and you'll have that memory forever.
Speaker 2 (01:05:36):
We love our dogs so much. Hey, Froggy, what's up
with you today?
Speaker 12 (01:05:39):
So I know some of this is my own doing,
and Danielle will remember this. So a couple of It's
about a month and a half ago. Danielle was here
and we were into Disney Springs with my wife Lisa,
and she wanted this ring. But this was a month
and a half ago. This ring was a birthday gift. Well,
Lisa's birthday is on Sunday.
Speaker 2 (01:05:56):
I feel like I should get her another gift because
she's been wearing this ring a month and a half.
That's that's not a birthday gift now, correct.
Speaker 3 (01:06:03):
She did the same thing with what I got her.
She's been wearing it for a month and a half
because I gave it to her already, right, But I
feel like, no, that was her gift.
Speaker 6 (01:06:11):
Ye.
Speaker 3 (01:06:11):
Now just write her a really nice card.
Speaker 2 (01:06:13):
Did you use the words this is your early birthday game?
Speaker 23 (01:06:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:06:15):
She knew was her gift.
Speaker 2 (01:06:17):
Yeah, she told me that in the store. Oh, this
will be a good birthday gift for getting it, Okay,
And then now her birthday Sunday, I should do so
go to dinner.
Speaker 3 (01:06:25):
Get her some flowers and write a nice card.
Speaker 2 (01:06:27):
Yeah, there you go. And what you do is next
time you around she's wearing the ring, just say like today,
go god, there's that birthday ring. There's reminder that you know,
you know, you know, it's it's recorded down at the
city hall. Okay, birthday ring officially gave me a little monkey, Danielle,
what's up?
Speaker 1 (01:06:42):
So I want to just.
Speaker 3 (01:06:43):
Thank my friend Brianna, who has a business called bread
by Brianna. She's only eighteen years old. She has a
small sour dough business in Maryland. And guys, am I right,
how delicious is this stuff? Those cookies were crazy. She's
got sour dough, nutella cookies, all these other cooks. These
all kinds of sour dough breads. And you can follow
her on bread by Brianna. I'll post it on my Instagram.
(01:07:04):
But I tell you for eighteen years old to start
a business like this, and she delivers like she comes
down to New Jersey and delivers from Maryland. So thank
you Brianna. It's delicious and I hope you do lovely
things with your life.
Speaker 2 (01:07:15):
My vote is for those snicker doodle cookies.
Speaker 3 (01:07:18):
All those are good. It's all sour dough.
Speaker 2 (01:07:20):
It's all fantastic crazy. Hey on straight and eight. What's up?
Speaker 13 (01:07:23):
Are you tired of throwing away your money on rent
and getting nothing in return? Yes, yes, I have an
answer for you. It's the built card, not a sponsor.
I just have it myself. B I lt BI Wow.
Most places accept it. It takes a you know, the
form of a check. It just sends it, but you
get points back on it. And the end of this year,
(01:07:43):
I'll be able to get a flight because I paid
all of my rent on the Bilt is amazing and
there are some actually, there's some apartment buildings will that
will double your built paper rent does?
Speaker 2 (01:07:53):
Yeah, yours does. It's cool.
Speaker 13 (01:07:55):
So look into it. If you're tired of not getting
anything out of paying your rent, look into the built
card Bilt.
Speaker 2 (01:08:01):
So is there aventage of having a build card if
you don't rent at all? I think it works.
Speaker 13 (01:08:06):
It's the same as a credit card, right, look it
up Bilt, big advantage. It's one of the few things
you can do to get points.
Speaker 4 (01:08:11):
Scary.
Speaker 2 (01:08:11):
What's up? This might be a dumb thought, but I
just want to know.
Speaker 19 (01:08:15):
Why is it that, like most pizza is round, but
we put them in square boxes and then we cut
the pizza into triangles.
Speaker 2 (01:08:22):
Is it in like a waste of surface area? Space?
Speaker 19 (01:08:24):
Should aren't we wasting boxes by putting them in square
We should.
Speaker 2 (01:08:27):
Have have round boxes for the round pizzas. Don't you think
and triangle box? Take it's I think it's this. The
box storage is easier if they're square, and also production
producing them and putting them together is easier if they're square.
I'm not to you, but think about.
Speaker 19 (01:08:40):
All of those corners that are being wasted that surface area.
We could be saving a lot more trees, folks if
we just made round boxes for round pizza I'm just saying,
and triangles for the slices, which I have seen.
Speaker 2 (01:08:52):
I think that the round pizza boxes would have to
start square. Then they'd have to cut them to make
them round.
Speaker 19 (01:08:56):
Ye yet, and you can use the material on a
neck the next Because you got me right, I vote
for round pizza boxes.
Speaker 9 (01:09:04):
Why don't we just start making square pizza?
Speaker 2 (01:09:06):
We do Grandma pizza square. I would love a slice
of Grandma today.
Speaker 4 (01:09:11):
Oh God, scary.
Speaker 2 (01:09:13):
If this keeps you up at night, then you need
to do something. Don't just sit there and bitch and
moan about it. You should actually get out there and
start it. And you should lead the round pizza box parade.
I've never seen a round pizza box. You should go
and make that.
Speaker 3 (01:09:27):
Happen instead of going home and sleeping. That's what you
should be saying.
Speaker 2 (01:09:29):
Yeah, you don't go home and rot on your couch. Seriously,
you know that's the thing. You know, if you see opportunity,
get in there and do it. Don't just sit there
and yell at it about it. You know people that
go online and start screaming about politics this thing, they
don't do anything but yell and scream. You can actually
make a difference. Scary, it's you, baby.
Speaker 6 (01:09:46):
It's you.
Speaker 2 (01:09:46):
Do you think I can get a patent on that?
I'm sure no one's ever thought of a round pizza box.
Speaker 19 (01:09:51):
You're never gonna say you've tried all the rest, Now
try the best.
Speaker 1 (01:09:55):
Should shark?
Speaker 3 (01:09:56):
Maybe that give you money for that?
Speaker 2 (01:09:58):
Maybe I'm sure there's a reason why. You know, let's see,
one hundreds of years they've had square boxes. But for
a hundreds of years people were stupid, and now you're
going to enlighten them.
Speaker 9 (01:10:07):
I like the next time we have Barbara Corkranan. You
pitched this idea to that sharp.
Speaker 3 (01:10:12):
I think we should have her in just so he
can pitch the idea and we can see her reaction.
Speaker 2 (01:10:16):
Let's get into sound with Garrett. You have a lot
of new music on the music Friday, but what else
you got today? Let's start so.
Speaker 10 (01:10:21):
I don't know if you guys saw yesterday the Michael
Jackson biopic trailer from yesterday, so it came out. Everyone's
talking about it, how it looks, how it sounds. So
here's a little clip of Quincy Jones talking to Michael
while he's in the studio.
Speaker 5 (01:10:31):
The tracks are made, the songs are ready.
Speaker 8 (01:10:41):
This is your story.
Speaker 5 (01:10:44):
On your past.
Speaker 8 (01:10:45):
You want to be guys, you can't embrace the future.
That's what people do.
Speaker 6 (01:10:57):
Cue.
Speaker 1 (01:10:58):
Can you laun the lights from you?
Speaker 11 (01:10:59):
Please?
Speaker 5 (01:11:00):
Okay? But remember in here keep those feets still man.
Speaker 2 (01:11:07):
So that comes out in April of twenty twenty six.
I can't wait.
Speaker 10 (01:11:09):
Yes, all right now new music. We started the show
with Katy Perry's new one. This is band aids.
Speaker 2 (01:11:13):
John So you see you let him in doubt, No
use trying to send sours.
Speaker 1 (01:11:18):
Now tell me SLF you change.
Speaker 2 (01:11:20):
You don't band Aids over a Broken We played that
to start our show this morning in your song band
Aids by Katy Perry Gandhi and I really like it
a lot.
Speaker 7 (01:11:35):
I do like it.
Speaker 2 (01:11:35):
Everyone else needs a couple more spins on it and
check out the music video too, when you get a chance.
Speaker 10 (01:11:40):
Hillary Duff new music for the first time in ten years.
This is called Mature all right, now introducing you to
something a little different. This is Jared Lee with disco
(01:12:00):
Fries called Collide.
Speaker 8 (01:12:13):
There we go, all right?
Speaker 2 (01:12:15):
So, uh sorry about that? Was there something we messed there? Yeah?
Speaker 10 (01:12:18):
No, it cut it cut off, So I do apologize.
Let's play a little game. We'll get back to that
in a little while. Yes, So for last Navidad, we
all know the song, but I want you to guess
the group that sings it. And the dish just came
out last night.
Speaker 2 (01:12:41):
It's not Jonahs Brothers, not Jonas Brothers.
Speaker 1 (01:12:43):
It's a boy man, right, yes.
Speaker 2 (01:12:45):
The Battery Boy. Merry Christmas. I want to issue a
Merry Christmas. There should have been one of them, all right.
Speaker 10 (01:12:54):
And then finally, Dan and Shade have long Live Christmas.
Long I love Dan and ships.
Speaker 8 (01:13:03):
Field Trees Bees.
Speaker 2 (01:13:08):
Christmas Speaking of Christmas music. You know Tricia Yarod's new album,
I think it's out today, called Christmas Time. She's gonna
be in here to talk about it. We're gonna play
some music from her in a few minutes as well.
Trisha Year, what's so excited to have her here? And
you're a good American? Thank you so much. I guess
(01:13:28):
we should take a break. Sure you guys excited Trisha
hear Wood. Yeah, make sure you make me ask her
about my favorite dash. Okay, her cornbread childie cast role.
Speaker 3 (01:13:40):
Okay, I wish she would have brought that with I
know maybe she did.
Speaker 2 (01:13:43):
We'll check it out next.
Speaker 1 (01:13:43):
What's up, Hi? This is Taylor's High.
Speaker 8 (01:13:46):
It's Lady Ganga.
Speaker 10 (01:13:48):
Hey, It'sja and you're listening to Elvis Durant in the
Morning show.
Speaker 13 (01:13:53):
You know, I love the holidays and I want to
feel jolly all season long, but when it's and paint
sneak in, it's hard. Thankfully a leaf can help. With
just one pill, a leap provides up to twelve hours
of body pain relief so you can keep moving forward.
Uses directed.
Speaker 1 (01:14:16):
Li from the Mercedes Fenz Interview Lounge.
Speaker 2 (01:14:18):
You're so excited, Tricia, yearwould doing her holiday shopping in
New York City, told she'd drop on on the way
to Sacks.
Speaker 3 (01:14:25):
Love that for us.
Speaker 2 (01:14:26):
Look, Tricia, it looks like you've already been there. You
look gorgeous.
Speaker 24 (01:14:28):
Wish well I had a team of professionals. I don't
know how to dress myself. I wish I had time
to go shopping.
Speaker 3 (01:14:32):
That'd be so well.
Speaker 2 (01:14:33):
You should go Shack should Avenue right around the corner.
And you know the windows are done up for Christmas.
Speaker 7 (01:14:37):
You're in New York.
Speaker 16 (01:14:38):
I know I love New York.
Speaker 2 (01:14:40):
Well you can have it.
Speaker 16 (01:14:42):
I love Christmas in New York.
Speaker 2 (01:14:44):
You don't have to put headphones on, you do. I'm
gonna say some music for you.
Speaker 16 (01:14:47):
Do you're gonna play music?
Speaker 2 (01:14:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 16 (01:14:48):
I thought you're gonna sing for me. That's what I heard.
Speaker 2 (01:14:50):
I'm gonna singh man, you're gonna yeah, you don't have
to use them. I'll point at you when it's time
to put the headphones out. All right, Well, Tricia, youarwood
here That album is out today. It's called Christmas Time.
By the way, let me play okay, que there is
a cut on here that you do with Garth. I
do know that one merry Christmas Valentine. I'm gonna give
(01:15:13):
you a little They call it a hook.
Speaker 25 (01:15:15):
Here we go, and there's a special one to you
for me, tied with the broad red ball, that sign
Merry Christmas Valentine.
Speaker 2 (01:15:33):
Where's guard? There's no garth on this cut. They cut
it off.
Speaker 16 (01:15:38):
They're saving him. He's harmony.
Speaker 2 (01:15:41):
We're thinking he's on there.
Speaker 3 (01:15:42):
He is on there.
Speaker 2 (01:15:43):
So it sounds like a romantic back and forth Christmas duet.
Were you in the studio together when you sang it
or not?
Speaker 14 (01:15:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 16 (01:15:50):
We were.
Speaker 24 (01:15:51):
Yeah, it's not a it's not a it's not a
technical duet. It's a harmony part and it's it's really beautiful.
He you know, he's in all the songwriter Hall of Fames.
And I've been doing a lot of songwriting the last
couple of years, and he was always encouraging me to write,
and I was always like, I'm not really a songwriter
and cause I was really in my own head about it.
And when I finally kind of got to a place
(01:16:12):
where I felt comfortable, I said, you should write with
me again because I'm really fun now, like I'm confident
I'm a lot more fun to write with. And we
were sitting outside. We have this house on a hill
in Nashville and we kind of looked downtown and we
sit out there a lot, and we were talking about it,
and he was the one who said, there needs to
be a song.
Speaker 16 (01:16:30):
Has there ever been a.
Speaker 24 (01:16:31):
Song about Merry Christmas Valentine that combines the holidays? Because
it's one holiday is not enough for this grand romance.
Speaker 2 (01:16:39):
I don't think the Hallmark company would lie.
Speaker 24 (01:16:41):
I know I think so too. I feel like this
is a whole thing. And so we just started working
on it and he doesn't write anything down. I write
everything down. I'm a virgo and I'm on my phone
trying to like and I'm like, he's like, well remember it.
I'm like, no, I know, we will not remember it.
And that was long before the Christmas album was even
on the books, and so when this came around, we
hadn't finished it, and I said, we need to finish
that song.
Speaker 2 (01:17:00):
And you did it to see. I always when you
hear duets or harmonizing with a couple together, a couple together,
you envisioned them in you know, a studio of the
lights low, the cameras are lit, and they're like making
love to the microphone. And then we found out later
now that he was in Nashville and I was in London.
But we didn't even see each other when we recorded
each other.
Speaker 24 (01:17:19):
Yeah, this was a little different because we recorded this
whole album live in LA with a live orchestra, forty
five piece orchestra.
Speaker 2 (01:17:25):
Okay, let's talk about that.
Speaker 24 (01:17:26):
Yeah, so he was there, but he so he came,
but he came in and sang his part after I
was done with But we were all together.
Speaker 2 (01:17:32):
Okay. So Christmas does does not only belong to Mariah Carey. No,
Tricia Yearwood is coming in for the kill. So this
year you're actually doing a twelve night symphony orchestra tour
for the for Christmas.
Speaker 3 (01:17:48):
Yes, okay, the twelve Days of Christmas.
Speaker 2 (01:17:51):
A real live symphony orchestra.
Speaker 16 (01:17:52):
Yes, every city has a live orchestra.
Speaker 2 (01:17:54):
What's it like singing with a symphony orchestra behind you?
It's unbeloe, no tell us, because it'll never happen to
the rest of them.
Speaker 16 (01:18:02):
Well, here's the thing.
Speaker 24 (01:18:03):
This is why we're doing the tour because when you're
in the studio with these guys and gals who are
at the top of their game, and the sound that
is reverberating through your body is different than listening to
it any other way. You just want everybody to get
to experience that. So I feel like the shows are
our chance to kind of give people a little bit
of a chance to feel it because it's physical.
Speaker 16 (01:18:22):
It's really amazing.
Speaker 2 (01:18:23):
But as a performer, as a vocalist, it must give
you this charge that you don't get in a studio
or anywhere else.
Speaker 24 (01:18:29):
Yeah, because when you make a record, a regular album,
and you might put strings on it, you know, but
you usually add that later. So when you're in the studio,
you're with like six guys, and there's an energy there
that's amazing. I mean, I do my best work because
I'm a performer in front of a crowd, So I
like to sing. Most of my vocals happen when the
band's there because I always think I can sing it
(01:18:49):
better later. But when they're gone home and I'm there
by myself, I'm like, I have no one to impress,
so I just don't.
Speaker 2 (01:18:53):
I don't.
Speaker 24 (01:18:53):
I feel like the energy is gone. So when you're
in a room with forty five people, you're like okay,
and it's just in.
Speaker 2 (01:19:00):
You sound your best in front of an orchestra or
in the shower.
Speaker 16 (01:19:02):
Yeah, that's not bad either.
Speaker 2 (01:19:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 24 (01:19:05):
Is it harder with a band or with an orchestra, Well,
for me, the orchestra, I think I feel more pressure
because when you have forty five people, you don't want
to be the one person who doesn't come in at
the right time, because if you mess it up, you
got to start over. And that's forty five people you know,
that have to retune and whatever. So there's a little
more pressure there. And also this record has some interesting
(01:19:27):
you know, you think it's really clever in the moment
of like maybe the intro is in a different key
than you start singing in and you have to know
that note cold or or there's a lot of pausing,
which I like to the dynamic of it. But now
I got to sing it that way and hit it
when it happens, and so it's it's a challenge.
Speaker 2 (01:19:43):
And you know, in an orchestra, these these instruments are
typically right on the right note. They're all tuned up
and your voice isn't. So if you come in like
it's like a train wreck, they sound great, you sound awful.
You get that note, Trisha, Yeah, and I'm amazed.
Speaker 24 (01:19:58):
How the conductor will be in a forty five piece
thing will go okay. The french horn the second french
horn hit an F sharp there and it should have
been en f natural.
Speaker 2 (01:20:08):
How do I know?
Speaker 16 (01:20:08):
How did you hear that?
Speaker 2 (01:20:10):
How do you play a french horn? You cram your
fist in that? No idea, It's like it's like checking
the horse.
Speaker 16 (01:20:15):
That's why I'm a sick singer. I don't know.
Speaker 9 (01:20:17):
So our producer told us that this album is very
classic Christmas. Were people pitching you like new songs and
you thought, no, I don't want those at all, because
I like this better.
Speaker 24 (01:20:27):
Well, I mean there is a little bit of I
did get a lot of pitches, but it's a combo.
Speaker 16 (01:20:32):
You know.
Speaker 24 (01:20:32):
There are songs that you've heard your whole life, like
Blue Christmas is on here. But then there's song that
the original song obviously that Garth and I wrote, no
one's heard before. And there's a song on here called
Candy Cane Lane that when you hear it it sounds
like something that the Andrews sisters would have done in
the forties, but it was written by you know, in
the ten years ago. And these girls pitched me these songs,
(01:20:53):
and I'm like, I love this song. I think it
really fits. So I was just looking for songs that
kind of work together, and I don't want everything to
be exactly the same. There's a couple of songs on
here that aren't really even Christmas songs, but they work.
Like Pure Imagination from Willy Wonka is not a Christmas song.
Speaker 2 (01:21:05):
It's one of my favorite songs.
Speaker 24 (01:21:06):
Of all time, but it works so well on a
Christmas record, and I'm not sure anybody's ever done that before.
So we were trying to just kind of you know,
every song has a reason why it's.
Speaker 2 (01:21:15):
On there, and by the Andrew's sisters way before our time,
So to stop assuming that we knew who they were,
You're okay'm going to have to.
Speaker 3 (01:21:19):
Go mack them up. God, Kenny kit Lane is actually
one of my favorite Christmas songs.
Speaker 1 (01:21:23):
I love that.
Speaker 2 (01:21:24):
See you did It?
Speaker 3 (01:21:24):
Yeah, See you did it?
Speaker 2 (01:21:25):
It's so good.
Speaker 7 (01:21:26):
Yes.
Speaker 20 (01:21:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:21:27):
If you're just turning on Trisha year, what is here
so much to talk about Christmas time? Her new album
is out today and we're gonna play We're gonna play
a song, my favorite song from your album coming up? Well,
it's my show. I'll do what I want. Yes, No,
it's a great song. It's one of my favorites. Maybe
you've heard it also. The Twelve Days of Christmas Symphony
Tour starts December second in Nashville, twelve nights in a
(01:21:49):
different town, different city, with different choirs. I've heard coming
up and singing with you from that's a lot of
moving parts. This thing sounds a lot of fun.
Speaker 24 (01:21:57):
Well, you know, every city has a different orchestra. So
you go in in the after and every day you
go in and you rehearse, and you basically do the show,
the whole show in the afternoon, and then you then
you go get dressed and go do it for real
at night and for a crowd.
Speaker 16 (01:22:10):
So you do the show twice a day.
Speaker 2 (01:22:11):
I should bring my trumpet, Oh my god, you should.
We do this thing where we have artists come in
to perform and they'll start playing their song and I
tell them I do trumpet. I'm gonna play along with
you and I having music and I just come in
as a blast. These notes out there, this nasty, nasty,
horrendous from a hell notes.
Speaker 4 (01:22:27):
I'm gonna come ruin your ship.
Speaker 2 (01:22:28):
I'm gonna co ruin your concert.
Speaker 16 (01:22:30):
We got a nice seat for you in the parking lot.
Speaker 2 (01:22:31):
Where can we go to find the bathroom of the
tour bus? How do we find tickets for one of
your shows?
Speaker 7 (01:22:40):
I don't know.
Speaker 16 (01:22:40):
How do you find tickets?
Speaker 2 (01:22:41):
We gotta find tickets so much?
Speaker 16 (01:22:43):
What Trishayo dot com?
Speaker 9 (01:22:44):
Okay, that makes sense.
Speaker 16 (01:22:45):
I apparently have a website?
Speaker 9 (01:22:48):
Are you yourself?
Speaker 4 (01:22:50):
Oh my god?
Speaker 2 (01:22:51):
This new thing? Tricia Yearwood dot com.
Speaker 16 (01:22:54):
These kids today?
Speaker 2 (01:22:57):
Hey, I got to bring up something else. You're cornbread
chili cast role is a hero?
Speaker 16 (01:23:02):
Could we discuss that? Please?
Speaker 2 (01:23:04):
Your dill pickle popcorn? I just don't get it.
Speaker 16 (01:23:08):
You don't have to. It's not for everyone.
Speaker 2 (01:23:10):
I love. I gave you a positive and they give
you like come in for the kill. I'm kidding. I
have never had your popcorn. Just a thought of dill
pickle and popcorn sounds kind of interesting. But the cornbread
CHILDI castrole one of my favorites.
Speaker 24 (01:23:23):
That that was My sister Beth and I both are
learned from our parents, who were both really good cooks,
and we just make regular food. And cornbread chili castroll
was her recipe that she made her She's got a son,
who has now grown, and that was his thing, Like
that's what he wanted for his birthday dinner.
Speaker 16 (01:23:37):
And like, so I went to Yeah, it's a it's
it's it's pretty good.
Speaker 2 (01:23:41):
I like how you say, well, it's just regular food. Well,
to you, it's regular food because when I'm from from Texas,
a little town in Texas, that that would be regular
food for us here in New York. Chicken palm is
regular food, right, yeah, chick cornbread, childy castrole to them
is exotics. Sound it sounds so good. It's from a
far away land.
Speaker 24 (01:23:56):
It's comfort food, and you eat that and then the
next day you have a grape and everything evens out.
Speaker 2 (01:24:03):
Do you still enjoy doing all your cooking your cooking shows.
Speaker 11 (01:24:05):
I do.
Speaker 16 (01:24:06):
I love it. We are we're working on we're not
filming in the moment.
Speaker 24 (01:24:09):
We're working on the next kind of the next iteration
of the show, trying to step because we've been doing
this for a long time. I've done the show for
eighteen seasons, like nine years. We have two seasons a year,
and so we were figuring out how do we kind
of change it up?
Speaker 16 (01:24:23):
So but yeah, I love it. It's fun.
Speaker 24 (01:24:25):
When I did the very first season. We only did
six episodes, and I only wanted to do six because
I'm like, what if I don't love it? Because I'm
in a place in my life where if it's not fun,
I just I don't do.
Speaker 2 (01:24:34):
It anymore good? And why do we wait? Why do we wait?
Speaker 16 (01:24:37):
Because we need to make a living?
Speaker 2 (01:24:41):
I guess today.
Speaker 24 (01:24:45):
But it's like I didn't know if it would be fun,
because I'm like, I don't know if standing behind the
counter being filmed, putting the butter in the mixing bowl,
it's going to be fun. But I have my best
friends on my sister, and we laugh a lot, and
it's very loose. We don't have a script, we don't
have a telep. It's just it happens, and so it's fun.
And my crew is mostly they've been with me the
(01:25:07):
whole time, so we're family, and it's like being on
the road with a band, except you're just making food.
Speaker 2 (01:25:11):
And I love watching it because it takes me back
to where I'm from because this is the food we
grew up eating. Like, so for instance, yeah, regular food
with your family.
Speaker 9 (01:25:19):
Is like a chicken berry on exactly, remember.
Speaker 16 (01:25:22):
My mom making that all?
Speaker 1 (01:25:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (01:25:25):
Huge in Texas huge.
Speaker 2 (01:25:27):
So you mentioned something about it as you get older,
as you progress in life, your your feelings about how
to approach life and everything. It's totally changing. And I
love that. By the way, I say, if anyone says
I'm just turning forty, I'm so old, I'm like, no, No,
the best years are still at.
Speaker 16 (01:25:42):
That's a cute age.
Speaker 2 (01:25:42):
So as it comes to Christmas and celebrating celebrating Christmas,
you your thoughts have changed there too. I'm assuming you're
putting out this album of all these songs that are
very heartwarming Christmas feel good songs. I mean, getting together
with family, cooking with family now more important than ever
for you.
Speaker 24 (01:26:02):
Oh yeah, I mean I think I think that I
come from a family. My sister and I were very
close with our mom and dad, and they're both gone now,
and so I think for us, we were always we
were never those kids who didn't want to hang out
with their parents. We loved our folks and we were
always close. But when I was on the road in
the nineties, you know, I was gone, I mean really gone,
and so our holidays and our time together just kind
(01:26:24):
of became when can we make it happen?
Speaker 16 (01:26:26):
It didn't have to be on the day, it just
had to be. We had to find that time.
Speaker 24 (01:26:29):
And it worked out in my life that when my
parents were older and when they were sick, I was
I was.
Speaker 16 (01:26:35):
Home and I got to be with them a lot.
So I never, I never.
Speaker 24 (01:26:38):
I don't have any like I wish I had been
there for this, this and this, And now I am
at a place where I can pick and choose when
I go and when I stay home. And this will
be the first time in a long time that I've
actually been just gone at Christmas. I mean, this tour
is not over till the twentieth. So I'm decorating the
house when I get home Monday because it's because I mean,
it's got to be.
Speaker 16 (01:26:56):
I've got to have some time.
Speaker 15 (01:26:58):
Chris.
Speaker 3 (01:26:58):
Do you decorate it yourself? Do you have somebody do it?
Speaker 13 (01:27:00):
No?
Speaker 16 (01:27:00):
I decorated.
Speaker 24 (01:27:00):
I don't do I don't put the lights on the
roof in the eves and should, but they're.
Speaker 2 (01:27:05):
Up until you do your own roof lights. You really
haven't done anything.
Speaker 16 (01:27:09):
I mean I used to Elvis, but not anymore.
Speaker 3 (01:27:12):
We hear you crochet afghans. Do you give that to
people for prins?
Speaker 7 (01:27:15):
I do I do.
Speaker 16 (01:27:17):
I'm a nerd. I do.
Speaker 2 (01:27:18):
Now crochet you an Afghan? Afghanistan kids? They get?
Speaker 16 (01:27:22):
How do you you can look that up? I feel
like that's not a thing.
Speaker 2 (01:27:27):
In seriousness. She was Daniel say, you know she does
Afghans for her for her family. It's every year, like,
oh look she got to another Afghan.
Speaker 7 (01:27:36):
No, it's not every year.
Speaker 24 (01:27:37):
And also depends on what is happening, Like you know,
it's a lot of work and it takes time and
depending on the ones I make. I actually have one
I've been working on that I have that's been several years.
It's not done yet. So you'll get one when you
get one, you know, well that I would love?
Speaker 14 (01:27:51):
Right?
Speaker 9 (01:27:52):
Is there when you're on tour? I think I feel
like Christmas time is sort of like wedding season a
little bit where we all have these songs that we
love when we GMT and then one comes on and
we're like, no, not that one that killed the vibe.
Do you have a Christmas song that you hate?
Speaker 16 (01:28:03):
I do?
Speaker 7 (01:28:04):
What is it?
Speaker 16 (01:28:05):
Now?
Speaker 2 (01:28:09):
What's yours? What's yours?
Speaker 1 (01:28:10):
One? I hate?
Speaker 2 (01:28:11):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (01:28:12):
I don't like that? Do they know it's Chris?
Speaker 24 (01:28:15):
I think those ones that they just play over and
over and over again. But I don't know, because we
do listen to songs over and over and over again.
Speaker 2 (01:28:22):
If one of us mentioned the one you hate, you
have to say, Okay, that's mine. Mine is that one
from the Beach Boys, The Man with all the Toys.
That's a different one. Christmas shoes that Christmas. It's a
song about a kid that's in do we have time?
I don't know how we're doing on time. This kid
(01:28:43):
goes to the store and he has to buy a
pair of shoes for his mom, who's okay. It's a
contrived story, which is what makes me had. His mom's
in home, in bed, and she's she doesn't have long
so he shows up at a store to buy her
Christmas shoes, but he can't afford it. So the guy
in line asked him, why are what's wrong? You don't
have money for the shoes. Mom's at home dying. I
need money for these shoes.
Speaker 16 (01:29:05):
So I already hate it.
Speaker 9 (01:29:06):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 2 (01:29:08):
I'm just gonna give you like a minute of a
second of it because we've gotta play your song.
Speaker 16 (01:29:11):
Like sentimental but not super sad.
Speaker 2 (01:29:13):
Yeah, yeah, but I hate the song because it's contrived.
It never happened.
Speaker 3 (01:29:16):
I think there's a movie based on this song all
the Hallmark channel probably.
Speaker 9 (01:29:20):
Oh here it comes. I'm in the Christmas.
Speaker 2 (01:29:27):
Okay, so good, Okay, So he has the Okay, look,
it's a sad story. If it's true. I don't think
it's true. He checks off all the boxes.
Speaker 4 (01:29:35):
Mom's dying.
Speaker 9 (01:29:36):
He maybe my new favorite song.
Speaker 16 (01:29:37):
I hate.
Speaker 2 (01:29:41):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (01:29:42):
What's yours?
Speaker 2 (01:29:46):
Okay? So in nine years when you do another Christmas album,
don't do that one.
Speaker 6 (01:29:52):
Thing.
Speaker 16 (01:29:52):
I think it's saved. I was gonna say Christmas Shoes, but.
Speaker 1 (01:29:54):
Now I hates it.
Speaker 2 (01:29:58):
What's the Christmas do?
Speaker 1 (01:29:59):
I mean?
Speaker 16 (01:29:59):
I I know we're going to talk about Christmas? Time
is here.
Speaker 24 (01:30:01):
That was probably the one song, the first song on
the list that I knew I was going to record
for this record.
Speaker 16 (01:30:06):
I love Charlie Brown Christmas. It's one of my favorite
things in the world.
Speaker 24 (01:30:09):
And I walk down the ault to that song.
Speaker 16 (01:30:12):
It's a special hold on note.
Speaker 3 (01:30:14):
I can't wait Christmas.
Speaker 2 (01:30:18):
You have to go off key sent Yes, you have
to try. I just love this song. I like, I
liked to sing it and ruin it.
Speaker 3 (01:30:33):
Do you have a Christmas song?
Speaker 2 (01:30:36):
Do you have a Christmas song.
Speaker 16 (01:30:37):
I want a Christmains album yet, you should make a.
Speaker 2 (01:30:39):
Christmas but every year we always play that and sing it.
It's like a yearly thing here. But your version, your
version is going to win this. This conta without doubt. Okay,
Trisa Yearwood, the album is Christmas Time. You didn't tell
us what your favorite Christmas song?
Speaker 16 (01:30:55):
I don't know if I have one. I mean that's
a tough one.
Speaker 9 (01:30:58):
Do you have a favorite off this album?
Speaker 2 (01:31:04):
No?
Speaker 16 (01:31:04):
I mean I really don't. I mean every song has
a purpose.
Speaker 24 (01:31:07):
My Favorite Things from Sounding Music was a song that
I always wanted to record to.
Speaker 16 (01:31:11):
There's this song.
Speaker 24 (01:31:12):
This album has a list of like here's the four
or five that I've been holding on to for thirty
years I would love to record and then kind of
just figuring out how the rest would would fit.
Speaker 2 (01:31:20):
Do you remember all the favorite things? Do you remember
this song?
Speaker 11 (01:31:24):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:31:24):
Do you remember all the favorite things?
Speaker 24 (01:31:26):
I think so, rain drops on roses, kittens, right copper kettles,
and warm woolen mittens, brown paper package.
Speaker 16 (01:31:33):
I said it was strings.
Speaker 2 (01:31:33):
These are a few of my favorite and when the
dog bites with the beastings, Yeah, in a feeling sense.
How about dough RAMI yeah, I don't know all those
do a deer a female.
Speaker 16 (01:31:45):
A long long later soling thread.
Speaker 2 (01:31:48):
And then the next one just really sucks law.
Speaker 16 (01:31:53):
Because you know tea, you drink of bread? Does he
bring us back to do?
Speaker 2 (01:32:00):
I love that? You just love music?
Speaker 20 (01:32:03):
I did?
Speaker 16 (01:32:03):
Don't you you do too?
Speaker 2 (01:32:04):
I can door music, yeah, I can tell absolutely. And
you here we are in New York City. We've got
Broadway going on. Danielle goes to with three Broadway shows
a week.
Speaker 6 (01:32:11):
I do.
Speaker 3 (01:32:12):
It's my favorite thing.
Speaker 24 (01:32:13):
I mean, it's one of my favorite things to do too.
I'm going to I'm going to some shows while I'm here.
Speaker 3 (01:32:16):
What do you think?
Speaker 24 (01:32:17):
I'm seeing Hamilton for the fourth time, and I'm gonna
go see my friend Christian China with in her Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:32:24):
Yeah, I just saw that. Yeah, she's amazing.
Speaker 2 (01:32:26):
She's a friend of her show as well.
Speaker 16 (01:32:27):
Yeah, I'm going to see her, So I'm excited.
Speaker 2 (01:32:28):
All right. Tricia Yearwood, First of all, we support you
at Tricia Yearwood dot com.
Speaker 16 (01:32:34):
It's so glad we know it was such a clever name.
Speaker 2 (01:32:36):
There's still going over there. You know, there's something about
you on there that you had no existed.
Speaker 24 (01:32:41):

Speaker 3 (01:32:44):
And you can buy it on vinyl. And I must
say green is your color?
Speaker 16 (01:32:47):
Thank you very much?
Speaker 2 (01:32:48):
Look at that.
Speaker 3 (01:32:49):
Yeah, that was.
Speaker 2 (01:32:50):
Fun, so beautiful. And when you're in New York you
have to go see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. I
don't know if you've ever been.
Speaker 16 (01:32:56):
I have not been. Me neither gas all around.
Speaker 2 (01:33:01):
The interview over you would love it. It really is
a Christmas tradition here in New York City. And when
they do the Nativity scene and the camels walk out
on the stage.
Speaker 24 (01:33:10):
Really Oh no, yeah, it's it's when they do that,
and they do it every day.
Speaker 2 (01:33:16):
Yeah, there's like two or three performances per day.
Speaker 3 (01:33:18):
And I think that's the last thing. The Nativity scene,
I think is the last thing.
Speaker 2 (01:33:21):
It's insanely New York, insanely great and very traditional.
Speaker 16 (01:33:25):
That's that's kind of great. How many camels just the
one camel.
Speaker 1 (01:33:28):
Just one count It smells like a lot more.
Speaker 2 (01:33:32):
Backstage camels.
Speaker 9 (01:33:33):
Like all right, the next show is a nap.
Speaker 2 (01:33:38):
The album of course Christmas Time and it's out to
day and I want you to get it if you

Speaker 2 (01:33:53):
I bet you this weekend I'm going to have some
chili corn bread cast role.
Speaker 16 (01:33:57):

Speaker 2 (01:33:58):

your caffeinated beverage. How's how's everything on board Prima this morning?

Speaker 23 (01:34:37):

very excited.
Speaker 7 (01:34:43):
The weather looks fabulous outside, I know.
Speaker 2 (01:34:47):
But you're sitting in a dark, beautiful, sexy bar.
Speaker 7 (01:34:52):
I am, I'm in a bar. What time to say?
It's nine o'clock. I'm in a bar.
Speaker 2 (01:34:56):
That sounds like something we would do. But that's okay. Uh,
We've had quite a journey with you this week, but
of course we've only seen a microscopic dot of what
you've been enjoying. Can you look back over the past
week while we've had you on anyway and think of
the highlights and the things that you were most impressed
about and things they're going to bring you back to
another Norwegian cruise.
Speaker 23 (01:35:15):
Just the fact that there is so much to do
at every minute of the day. If you want to relax,
you relax. If you want to go do an excursion,
you do an excursion. If you want to go to
the spy, you go to the spot. There's something for
everyone to do at all times.
Speaker 7 (01:35:30):
Good.
Speaker 9 (01:35:32):
How is Grand came In And this is applining Grant.
Speaker 23 (01:35:35):
Grand came In is absolutely stunning. It is definitely a
place that I would return to. Oh that water cave
right the cave.
Speaker 7 (01:35:44):
Was absolutely amazing.
Speaker 23 (01:35:46):
Oh my god, it was You can't even believe that
that is all natural that Oh my god, I'm so
glad I got to see that. But the water in
Grand came In is the color of turquoise that you
have never seen before. It's so pretty.
Speaker 2 (01:36:00):
Yeah, when the sun hits the water, it reflects off
this I guess, the sand off the bottom, and it's
just it's this color that you've never seen anywhere in
life except for like kool aid. Right, yes, it's kolaid blue.
Speaker 1 (01:36:12):
Okay, so almost not even real.
Speaker 7 (01:36:14):
Yeah, gran came and was gorgeous.
Speaker 2 (01:36:15):
That you're swimming in a in a in a painting.
It's kind of great.
Speaker 3 (01:36:19):
You know, my question, where did you eat last night?
And where are you eating tonight?
Speaker 2 (01:36:23):
That's a valid question. You will answer the question.
Speaker 23 (01:36:26):
The last day we went to a restaurant called Ada,
the Italian restaurant, and you know, Italians are picky about
their Italian food.
Speaker 7 (01:36:34):
Delicious. It was so good, thank god.
Speaker 23 (01:36:37):
And they had this dessert it was like a mixture
of chocolate and butterscotch and it's somehow tasted like a Snicker's.
Speaker 7 (01:36:45):
It was.
Speaker 3 (01:36:47):
So good.
Speaker 7 (01:36:48):
Yeah, so good. The food is so good, I know.
Speaker 2 (01:36:51):
And then that's they continue to hit it out of
the park every time you got to eat on board
any Norwegian ship. But prima of their food is fabulous.
Speaker 23 (01:36:58):
I feel like, yeah, we're doing no, go ahead, no,
we're doing Cagnies tonight, which I know.
Speaker 2 (01:37:04):
Everyone, Yeah, cagnes.
Speaker 7 (01:37:07):
Is great, we get a good steak.
Speaker 2 (01:37:09):
I'm want to tell you something else about our friend
Christina here. Christina, of course, was diagnosed with stage two
breast cancer, and she went through all of the radiation
and all the chemo. I mean everything you go through,
and all the emotion and all the you know, my god,
look at myself, look at my life thoughts. I'm sure
that we will never understand fully how you went through
that journey. But in the meantime, she wouldn't sit there
(01:37:31):
and just be idle with it. She actually started a
foundation called This Strong Mama Foundation helping moms battling cancer
talk about where this came from, why you did it,
and where it's going and what it does.
Speaker 23 (01:37:46):
Of course, so as I was battling cancer, I was thinking,
oh my gosh, I'm so lucky that I have help.
Speaker 7 (01:37:53):
You know, I have my husband, I had my kids.
Speaker 23 (01:37:55):
I have my mom who luckily lives down the street
and was such a good for me. And all I
could think about is what happens if this happens to
women who just don't have that help or a lot
of my friends are hairdressers. You know, you don't work
you don't get paid. So I was like, I have
to do something. So I started this foundation, the Strong
Mama Foundation, where we help moms going through cancer treatment.
(01:38:19):
We hook them up with care packages, so we give
them tons of gift cards for like door, Dash, Target, Walmart,
wherever they could.
Speaker 7 (01:38:29):
Use the help.
Speaker 23 (01:38:29):
Will even provide like house cleanings, laundry services, whatever their
need of Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:38:35):
Wow, I can't be I can't imagine being a mother
because when you're going through everything you're going through with
treatment and with the emotional headaches, and it's God, and
then you also have to be a mom. You're got
to be as present as you can for your child
and having assistance with that. I get it. And so
from first time experience, it was born with you, the
(01:38:56):
Strong Mama Foundation helping moms battling cancer. Would you mind?
Would you be offended if we made a contribution?
Speaker 7 (01:39:04):
Oh my god, I'm you serious?
Speaker 2 (01:39:06):
No, just kidding?
Speaker 7 (01:39:09):
Yes, Oh my god, that would be amazing.
Speaker 2 (01:39:12):
We would like to contribute ten thousand dollars to the
Strong Mama Foundation.
Speaker 7 (01:39:15):
Yeah, Elvis, I'm gonna cry. It's so amazing.
Speaker 2 (01:39:19):
Many moms that you can help, I know, and thanks
to it's you you're the one doing it. This is
all you. You're the instrument that makes it happen for
all these moms who are going through what they're going for.
Speaker 7 (01:39:31):
I'm crying. Thank you so much. That means so much
and it's obvious help help so many people.
Speaker 2 (01:39:36):
I love that and I love that you're helping them.
We loved our time with you, Christina, and this has
been great having you out on the issue. And we
want to encourage Norwegian to do this this program again
because I mean, look, we would love to be out there,
but you know there's a lot of moving parts getting
all of us people out on the sea, but getting
(01:39:56):
you and your husband Frank out there and at a
time where you really, really you deserve this. You even
said yourself, me, more than anyone, I deserve this trip,
and you got yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:40:05):
I feel like we picked the perfect person. Like you're
so nice, you're so good at doing this, and like
I just love it.
Speaker 2 (01:40:11):
It's so great And we want you to come see
us here in the studio New York since we're right
up the street from you, and again, if you want to,
thank God, I would love to. If you want to
know more about the Strong Mama Foundation, it's simple. Go
to Strongmama dot com.
Speaker 7 (01:40:23):

Speaker 23 (01:40:29):
Yes, Oh my god, this has been the most amazing
week of my life.
Speaker 7 (01:40:34):
I will never forget this. Is there anything unbelievable?
Speaker 2 (01:40:37):
You may have thought about something in the shower. Maybe
you have no idea how to answer this, and if
you don't, that's fine. Is there anything you learned about
yourself this week?
Speaker 7 (01:40:47):
You know what?
Speaker 23 (01:40:48):
It's just that you have to live live your life
like no matter what you're going through, and everyone's going
through their own battle, right, you never know what someone
else is going through. You just have to think positive,
just always, because good things do happen.
Speaker 7 (01:41:03):
You know, there's so much out there, there's so much
life to live.
Speaker 23 (01:41:06):
And I think if you just think positive and keep
your head up all the time, and good things will happen.
Speaker 2 (01:41:13):
They will take care of yourself. Treat yourself. Thank you,
and I'm so glad that we could be yourself. Treat yourself.
You can be a part of that. And of course
Norwegian you know NCL dot com. Uh, go there, there's
all sorts of things. As soon as you go to
NCL dot com, boom, there's things they got, incredible specials
going on in great packages waiting for you. And so
(01:41:33):
you treat yourself just like like you do. You get
great advice the other day, Christina, you said, just go
on one and book it. Don't even think about it.
Just book it and then close your life.
Speaker 1 (01:41:41):
Do it.
Speaker 2 (01:41:42):
You're done.
Speaker 23 (01:41:42):
Listen, yolo, you live once, right right, just do it.
The money will come back, the memories live forever.
Speaker 2 (01:41:52):
Yeah, I love that. I don't know about the money
coming back.
Speaker 1 (01:41:57):
Well, oh well yeah, okay, it does still have good memories.
Speaker 2 (01:42:02):
Memories of the days we had money. Don't kidding. It's true.
It's true. You got to get out there and live
because you have. How much time do you have left?
Speaker 3 (01:42:09):
You don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:42:10):
So get out there and live.
Speaker 7 (01:42:12):
Just live every day to the fullest. And you have
to keep your head up.
Speaker 23 (01:42:16):
You have to stay positive and keep good, good vibes,
good things in your life, and good things come to
you and coming from you.
Speaker 2 (01:42:22):
Everything you've been through and you're going through in life.
It makes all the sense in the world. Christina, you're
the best Danny Ovation.
Speaker 7 (01:42:29):

Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (01:43:25):
We don't even turn it on or go see it
if Juju Green doesn't tell us to do so what
to watch? That guy is here again as he is
every Friday. Juju Green, of course, our straw hat goofy
best friend. You can do a search for Juju Green
or straw Hat Goofy. He's everywhere, including our show. Juju
Let's go ye you just said that you were very
(01:43:46):
very stoked for today's report. Why what is going on?
What you have up your sleeve?
Speaker 8 (01:43:50):
I am very very stoked.
Speaker 6 (01:43:52):
As a huge fan, I got three things for us
to watch, but we got to start with the theaters
as I often do. But as a huge fan of
the Predator friendranchise, is a huge fan of the director
Dan Trachenberg, who's been killing it with the Predator franchise
as of late. We have a new movie coming out
this weekend featuring a Predator. It's called Predator Batlands, and
this is actually a first for the entire franchise. If
(01:44:14):
you love Predator, you know it's mainly about an alien
comes to Earth, stalks a bunch of people, kills a
bunch of people.
Speaker 8 (01:44:20):
But this is the first.
Speaker 6 (01:44:21):
Alien Predator movie where the Yautja aka the Predator is
the main character. It's entirely from their perspective. It's an
action flick about a Predator named Deck on his first hunt,
trying to prove himself because he's actually the little of
the Predator clan and so he really has to bring
himself to his father. It's a Predator with a debt
(01:44:42):
with daddy issues. Which we've never seen. Wait, this is
sounding like scary. He's a daddy with predator issues anyway,
but go right ahead now.
Speaker 2 (01:44:53):
So from the perspective of the Predator, this is a
whole new way of doing this.
Speaker 8 (01:44:58):
This is a whole new way of doing story.
Speaker 6 (01:45:00):
And for those for those who like have only been
used to seeing the Predator in a certain way, you'll
probably find it funny to know that the director, Dan
Tratcherberg talked to James Cameron himself of Titanic and Avatar fame,
and James Cameron told him that it wouldn't work, and
then after seeing the movie, he said, well, that actually worked.
Sorry already, but after seeing the movie twice, I can
(01:45:24):
let you know that it does definitely work. It's actually
a surprisingly heartfelt story that I never thought I would
say when it comes to a Predator film.
Speaker 8 (01:45:33):
So it's a lot to love about this movie.
Speaker 6 (01:45:35):
The action is top notch, the visuals are pretty amazing,
and it actually is a story about found family and
breaking away from the code of what you thought you
was A very brutal character actually has some heart to it.
So I actually love Predator bad Lands. And this is
Dan Tratcherberg's third Predator movie, and I just want him
to keep making them till the end of time.
Speaker 2 (01:45:53):
Wow, so this is the first Predator. It sounds like
that we're actually gonna like and have a connection with
the runt of the Predator. Okay, so Predator Badlands, Okay.
Speaker 8 (01:46:03):
What's next? Next up?
Speaker 6 (01:46:06):
It's called Train Dreams and it is a fantastic movie.
It's a huge Oscar contender. I didn't know much about
the movie going in, but essentially what the story is about,
it's about this logger from.
Speaker 8 (01:46:18):
I believe he's like in the nineteen.
Speaker 6 (01:46:20):
Twenties, and it's this logger who essentially it is about
his life. He's very isolated, he doesn't really have a
lot of friends to speak of, and then everything changes
when he meets a woman named Gladys and so now
his job which takes him off to far away places
and he pretty much has to like walk back home
for like long periods of time.
Speaker 8 (01:46:39):
He just wants to get back to his family. It's
very heartfelt.
Speaker 6 (01:46:42):
It looks beautiful, like even when you're watching it at home,
it just made me wish I could watch in the
theater because it just looks that gorgeous. It has character,
It has Joe Edgerton as the main character. Joe Edgerton
is the main character. You also have William H. Macy
in a very sweet role as the old man of
the logger crew and I love you some.
Speaker 8 (01:47:01):
William H.
Speaker 6 (01:47:02):
Macy as well as Felicity Jones is also playing Gladys
in the movie. The movie is so heartfelt. I can't
stress how beautiful it looks. And it's just a great
meditation on life, on the passage of time because the
movie takes place over the course of many decades and
how one life can be affected by many different people,
and how we can affect other people's lives, and it's
(01:47:23):
all done like. It's one of the best films that
I've seen this year, and I cannot stress that enough.
I think it might have cracked my top ten. So yeah,
it actually drops to day on Netflix, So make sure
you guys check that one out on Netflix.
Speaker 2 (01:47:38):
I love that, all right? What else you have? All right?
Speaker 5 (01:47:41):
Right?
Speaker 6 (01:47:41):
So this one is actually a series that just premiered.
You can watch it right now. It's called I Love
La and it's produced, written, and created by Rachel Sennett,
who's very young, but she really knows how to put
together a movie. She knows how to put together a series,
and this is essentially a series for the people who
are they got a little bit of.
Speaker 8 (01:48:01):
A grudge against La.
Speaker 6 (01:48:02):
It's almost a cynical take on La, like the inauthentic
nature of it, the influencers, the name dropping, just like
it's it's something for the La natives as well. So
it's basically a love letter portrait, cynical take on the
city because the city is very different, different things, and
it follows a woman who's a social media manager, whose
friend is a social media star, and her friends who
(01:48:24):
are just trying to make their way in this city.
But as an LA Native, you know, I have a
lot of feelings about it and I can't wait to see,
like what more they do throughout the course of the season,
because as an LA Native, I feel like there is
a difference between people who moved to LA and the
people who've always been to LA, and I feel like
it's tackling all sides of that. So that one's on
(01:48:45):
HBO Max and it features a really great cast who
has really great chemistry, and I would highly highly recommend
you guys watching that first episode.
Speaker 2 (01:48:53):
All Right, we have one more show coming up, and
Ghandi's going to cover that in a second. But to
your point about La and New York, it seems like
La and New York, more than any other cities in
the world, are characters in film and shows, TV shows
in and of themselves. I mean, and I love that
in La, you always know it. La has that special
La thing, in New York has that special New York thing.
(01:49:15):
And I love how in many movies I've seen, I
always thought that the city itself was bigger than the
actors that were in those those At the same time,
it's kind of interesting. But okay, so you gave us
Predator bad Lands, which we need to say. I love,
I love how you loved it. You're very passionate about
how you talked about it. Train Dreams on Netflix which
(01:49:35):
is out today, And I love La. Now, Gandhi go
ahead talk to you to you about your discovery.
Speaker 9 (01:49:40):
So I need to know if you have any insight
information about why Ryan Murphy is reigning terror upon us
with the things that first it was a monster series,
which the last one was crazy, and now he hits
us with this Kim Kardashian show.
Speaker 1 (01:49:56):
All's Fair.
Speaker 3 (01:49:57):
The minds of it is.
Speaker 9 (01:49:59):
Incredible, and then I watched it and I would like
to know from you what's going on.
Speaker 8 (01:50:03):
So Ryan Murphy, I fully agree with you.
Speaker 6 (01:50:07):
He just loves raining terror on people, and I think
he gets off on.
Speaker 8 (01:50:12):
It a little bit. I think that's just like his
personal thing.
Speaker 6 (01:50:14):
But it's so funny because he makes so many shows
that I don't even have on my radar, and I go, oh,
Ryan Murphy's at it again, right, he just popped them
out like Alexander Hamilton. But so I didn't really know
about this show until I saw the report on the
Rotten Tomato score. That was my first like brush against it,
(01:50:37):
and apparently it debutes to zero person on Rotten Tomatoes,
and I was like, I didn't even know he was
making this.
Speaker 8 (01:50:44):
So it seems that there is.
Speaker 6 (01:50:45):
A bit of terror when it comes to this show,
just not for the reasons that we're used to from
Ryan Murphy.
Speaker 2 (01:50:50):
Right.
Speaker 9 (01:50:51):
Wild, Well, I'll just say that it was wild, and
you know what's crazy about So it's about a group
of women who make their own law firm. And you
can see that there are some parallels to her life
and there are really good actresses in this. You've got
Naomi watch you've got Glenn close, yeah, and I've got Kim.
It's just, uh, you know, I read the same thing
you read, which is what made me go watch it,
(01:51:12):
and I thought why.
Speaker 3 (01:51:13):
And I'm pretty sure they built the show around Kim because,
if I remember from Keeping Up with the Kardashians, after
she did his other show, he wanted to work with
her again, and so he was trying to figure out
what he could do and her.
Speaker 2 (01:51:25):
You know, wow, it's so fat.
Speaker 8 (01:51:27):
You want to watch this now? Like I gotta see
just how bad this is?
Speaker 2 (01:51:33):
Like he just did what this is what you just
did talking about zero percent on Rotten Tomatoes and telling
us how bad it is. We all have to watch
it and cutting our guy that shows up every week
to tell us to tell us what to watch. Now
we want him to watch something that you don't want
him to tell us to watch.
Speaker 9 (01:51:48):
I think it's a moment in pop culture that everyone
needs to absorb.
Speaker 6 (01:51:52):
Are you saying it years, madam Webb? Where you have
to see it?
Speaker 21 (01:51:58):
You might?
Speaker 9 (01:51:58):
You might just have to watch it to be like, Oh,
can I ask a question too?
Speaker 3 (01:52:02):
Did you just said, madam? What happened to Kiss of
the Spider Woman with Jennifer Lopez. It came and went
with a bleak and went that was crazy. Wait wait, yes,
it was just done already.
Speaker 8 (01:52:12):
Sorry, yeah, yeah, I forgot it came out. Actually I
remember when a cave and I forgot that it was.
Speaker 3 (01:52:17):
Did you see it?
Speaker 6 (01:52:18):
I did not see it, Okay, I guess it came
and went out of my mind as well.
Speaker 2 (01:52:26):
You pretty much answered your own question, Danielle. He came
in so Juju Green of course, search for straw Hat goofy.
He's everywhere and on your socials, and of course his
podcast is doing great. What to watch every week. We
don't go anywhere near anything unless you tell us, dud Juju.
Thanks for coming in. We appreciate it.
Speaker 6 (01:52:42):
Thank you, guys, and we also have a great interview
on the podcast this week with the director of bat
Lance Dan Tratchenberg.
Speaker 8 (01:52:47):
So make sure you guys check that.
Speaker 6 (01:52:48):
Out to get some actual fun Easter eggs about stranger things.
Speaker 8 (01:52:52):
That's all.
Speaker 2 (01:52:52):
I'll say.
Speaker 3 (01:52:54):
Twenty days away or like nineteen, we'll.
Speaker 8 (01:52:56):
Be talking about that in a couple of weeks.
Speaker 2 (01:52:58):
All right, Thank you, Juju. Hav a great weekend.
Speaker 3 (01:53:01):
We're not normal.
Speaker 1 (01:53:03):
Elvister ran in the Morning Show Elvis Terrand's phones happened, Danielle,
what do you have today? All right?
Speaker 3 (01:53:09):
Well, Michael says that Kristin and I are getting married,
and the plans have been going smoothly except for the flowers.
She cannot make up her mind. She asked the floris
to show her two arrangements so she could decide which
one she likes better. They said, okay, they'll do it.
But now you call as the florist and say 've
changed our minds. We're not going to do that for you.
She's not going to be happy.
Speaker 2 (01:53:28):
You know, you're dealing with people who are They're in
a very sensitive part of their lives right now. Oh yes,
is that what makes it good? All right? Today's phone tap?
Speaker 3 (01:53:36):
Hello, christ and Hi, this is Mary over at so.
Speaker 6 (01:53:40):
Hi.
Speaker 4 (01:53:40):
How are you good.
Speaker 3 (01:53:41):
You've been dealing with Patty?
Speaker 18 (01:53:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:53:43):
Yeah, she's got taken off of your wedding and they
gave me all your paperwork. Oh okay, they're making up
two different designs for you, two centerpieces. Yeah, that can't happen.
Speaker 21 (01:53:57):
Okay, I don't know who gave you.
Speaker 3 (01:53:58):
The okay on that in the first place. Patty, Yeah,
that's the that's the problem. She shouldn't have done that.
Speaker 21 (01:54:05):
Yeah, I mean, listen, I'm the customer and I've not
been treated very nicely.
Speaker 3 (01:54:10):
Well see, according to the according to my paperwork here,
they said that you had the attitude problem.
Speaker 21 (01:54:16):
Well, you don't say that to someone I understand paying
thousands of dollars.
Speaker 3 (01:54:20):
I mean, honestly, unless you're like a celebrity, you know,
