Speaker 1 (00:03):
What would you talk about on your on your podcast
MELT sixteen Morning Shows.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
The fifteen Minute Morning Show podcast. Here we go. It's
a unique day because we are all over the world.
Of course, here at Master Control in New York City,
we're with Scotti B in the other room, and there's
Gandhi and there's Scary, and there's Garrett and of course
Straight and Ads over here. And then in Los Angeles
it's Danielle Hi. Danielle Hi. I mean it's early there.

(00:36):
What time is it? Seven six thirty? It's ten thirty
here in New York in six thirty there. We've all
done that, that LA time change show thing before. It's
it sucks.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
It sucks.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
But you know what, I kept myself on New York time,
and I went to bed at New York hours and
level so so far.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Okay, Yeah, when I'm in LA, I have to wake
up around midnight or maybe twelve thirty at the latest. Yeah,
is that what time you woke up? Oh? You slept
in The one.

Speaker 5 (01:05):
Time we did it, we were staying at the Mandarin
I'm trying to remember the name of the hotel, the Mandrion,
and there was a line for people that were entering
the club that was the hotel, and you're leaving to
go to work, and there's all these people getting dropped
off and you saw that Danielle on my way in
this morning.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
There were tons of people at the clubs. And then
there was this taco place that was open and it
was packed. I couldn't believe how many peopoy.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
It was an after hours taco place and you're going
to work. Yeah, the hotel I used to stay in. Uh,
there were a lot of wealthy businessmen at the bar
as I was going to work in the morning, and
a lot of women who were not their wives all
were and there to make it buck.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
I think apparently the hotel I'm staying in is where
they filmed Pretty Woman, or.

Speaker 6 (01:50):
At least part of the Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
That's so cool.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
That's it. I've since moved to a hotel where the
hookers aren't hanging, or maybe they're all occupied.

Speaker 6 (02:00):
At the time you go down there, they cleaned.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Didn't you live in l A for a while? Gandhi?
I think you lived in l A. You've lived in
Miami and.

Speaker 7 (02:09):
Columbus, Columbus, Austin, and here I can say is next
for you, yes, moving up.

Speaker 6 (02:15):
I wish I was down.

Speaker 7 (02:16):
Actually, wouldn't it?

Speaker 1 (02:17):
You were?

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Sure?

Speaker 2 (02:18):
What? I wish there was as cultured as gandhis. I
never left in the area. I'm probably the only Garrett yep,
you you two are the only two in Scotti b
for he lived in Iowa. I lived in Brooklyn and
New Jersey.

Speaker 7 (02:34):
But Diamond's been here her whole life. Sam has Danielle
was here and.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with that.

Speaker 5 (02:41):
But I do think personally, everybody needs one big move
in their life.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Even if you come back after that year, Garrett and
Scary and Diamond, you're fired. See you later the papers.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
What about me, am I fired?

Speaker 5 (02:54):
No?

Speaker 2 (02:54):
We need you, I mean we need them. What Dean,
have you lived anywhere but here?

Speaker 3 (02:59):
No?

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Wo Do you have the urge and do you have
an urge to move away for a while?

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Okay, you know Ali.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
I know Ali wants to move to LA at some point,
like she keeps thinking about that.

Speaker 5 (03:11):
I think it's which wrong with Yeah, I will.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
I used to hate LA and I learned to love it.

Speaker 5 (03:18):
It's great to visit, it's fantastic to visit. I don't
think i'd want to would you say like it's a
year move though, like a moved there for a year
and then move back.

Speaker 6 (03:27):
It's a big move.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
It's a big you know, moving to La especially in
this business, is the same as moving to New York.
In this business, you're there to climb a ladder, You're
there to move ahead and SOMEO.

Speaker 5 (03:36):
I do agree with what you've said, Elvis. Everybody needs
to live in New York City for one year out
of their life.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Yeah, I'm sting such a great starting to rethink that
you've already as I lived here more than half my life. Yeah,
and I'm old, no, no, no, I think everyone should live
in New York. Are you glad you moved here? Gandhi?

Speaker 7 (03:54):
Yeah, very much so. And now I can't so. I
always have a really hard time picturing like a forever home.
I could never do it. And I think this could
be it, but I'm not sure it feels.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
It feels good.

Speaker 7 (04:05):
Here, I like it.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
One day you'll love it and want to be here forever.
The next year you'll be looking for the exit door.

Speaker 7 (04:11):
Well, I think the key to loving New York is
to be able to leave it all the time and
come back to it and We're very fortunate that we
travel a lot, and I have family all over the place,
so I do leave it all the time, so I
don't get to that point where I'm like, oh, the
city is crushing me. But I can totally understand where
that comes from.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Well, I don't know. I wouldn't mind having a little
little place here, you know you do, No, I have
a big place. I'm like a little place I can visit,
a studio with a Murphy bed.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
Yes, okay, I eventually want to have a cottage in
the outskirts of the UK, but like on the countryside
where I can go half the year there, half the
year here.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
I think it would be so nice.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Wow, I'm even big. I just scary made tri Yonkers next.

Speaker 7 (04:57):
Venture out.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
Baby.

Speaker 8 (04:58):
You know what, if I could have a secon property somewhere,
I would I would want to go to like the
what the east coast of Florida, like Delray Beach or
something somewhere in that area between Palm and and and Fort.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
There's a different Okay, there's a difference between where Danielle
is talking about. In Delray Beach. You can still great
get great little cottages in the countryside of Great Britain,
the UK, the area a little bitty one not even
a one bedroom studio apartment in Delray Beach is expensive.
It's very But I'm just saying, you guys have bigger
dreams than me. I feel like I need to like

(05:32):
think out of the box. I want to know for
you want to there's more to life.

Speaker 6 (05:38):
I also think everyone from the big city should live
in the Midwest for a year. It's it's such a
different life and it's so cool to experience that when
this is all you know.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
It's true. Everyone there is always so kind.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
Yeah, it's des Moines for a year. I love everybody
there and was so awesome.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Hey, so we have a big show coming up Thursday
morning on the Intrepid. The Intrepid, of course, it was
a World War Two what was called aircraft carrier. Aircraft carrier.
Now it still has aircraft on the deck, but a
lot of these planes are like the Space Shuttle is
there and a Concord Jet. I mean, it's an incredible

(06:16):
museum and Jelly Roll is performing well privately for those
who are on deck, but not for the radio.

Speaker 5 (06:22):
Right correct, Yeah, is that he listen. I think it's
like a lot of artists that are so busy. Right,
He's got a show the night before in Rochester. They're
getting him down in New York City. Then that same night,
Thursday night, he's got to be in Pittsburgh, and then
on that Friday he's got to be back for us
at the Jersey Shore to perform.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
So it's literally we're trying to save his voice.

Speaker 5 (06:44):
Trying to save his voice, yea. So he's like, you
know what, I want to perform. I'm not going to
go there and not perform, but not sure if it's
gonna be good for radio.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
So you know, it's it's up to him.

Speaker 5 (06:54):
If his sound check goes well, if he's comfortable with it,
he can go and perform for us on the show.
But they want to have the option.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
You know, Froggy's not with us today, but he will
be on board with us with Jelly roll Thursday at
the Intrepid. He was actually asked by Jelly Rolls management
if he could fly up and join us.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Dude, he's so big in country.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Oh yeah, Froggy is like becoming a huge, huge country radio.

Speaker 6 (07:20):
I have to tell you, I listened to that station
that he does all the time. I love it.

Speaker 5 (07:24):
It's a really well such an industry's room, a well
programmed station.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
He's doing such a good job.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
He even changed their logo to a brand new, really cool,
more you know now logo.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
It looks so awesome.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
We all voted on that logo. Did you vote on it?

Speaker 3 (07:39):
I didn't vote on Okay, I did, but it is
an awesome logo.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Well, he called me and said, what's your vote anyway,
So Froggy are very proud of him, and yeah, Thursday
is going to be a very special show, and it's
going to be you know, it's going to be We're
gonna have a few moments of reverence for the men
and women who serve our country and people in the
military who lost their lives serving for our country because
we're leading into Memorial that weekend.

Speaker 5 (08:04):
Yeah, there's a couple of great stories. So Andrew and
I were on a call yesterday and it was trying
to manage all of these different agendas because it is
fleetweek with the US Navy, Marines and Coast Guard. We're
on the Intrepid, which is technically a museum. We're working
with NCL who are great partners of ours, and you know, Jelly.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Roll is going to be performing for US.

Speaker 5 (08:24):
So there's all these different angles and it was difficult
yet satisfying to manage all these different agendas. And in
talking with the US Navy, they have so many great
stories that they bottle up and they bring to the table.
There's one lieutenant that was born in Cameroon, but he
wanted to be here in the US, so he enlisted

(08:47):
in the Navy and has made a career out of
it and he is now an American citizen.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
He's now US citizen.

Speaker 5 (08:53):
Because he wanted to move here, and one of the
ways that you can become a US citizen is enlisting
in the military.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
Serving our country. And he's like, it's a great place.
I love it and I'm so glad to be here.
Are the ships coming in while you're broadcasting?

Speaker 5 (09:05):
They come in the day before okay.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Yeah, the paraderships is Wednesday, right, and it's such a
great day. Then they have they have the New York
City fireboats that they're shooting red, white, and blue water
streams and it's a cool thing. You've seen that before, right, Yeah, Yeah,
we have a cool view of that. Yeah, And of
course scary be celebrating being a new Yorker by being
in New Jersey. Yeah, yes, I will be, but I'll

(09:28):
be looking at New York. So that's all they know.
New York on my mind. So anyone else have something
on their mind? I mean, Danielle, anything you want to
finish up with in Los Angeles?

Speaker 4 (09:37):
No, I'm just really excited, and I want to thank
the Alliance for Women in Media because it's really cool
that they recognize, you know, women in media.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
That hasn't always been the case.

Speaker 6 (09:48):
Yeah, can you do it?

Speaker 2 (09:49):
Give us speech.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
I'm not going to give you my speech now.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
Hey, so what do you guys doing today? You're going
to be a tourist today.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (09:57):
I definitely needed a little nap, but I have hair
and makeup late and shower and then red carpet.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
So there's a lot.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
I see you have makeup and hair right now. I
don't see what it's going.

Speaker 6 (10:05):
You're gonna go and visit the star.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
I'm not gonna go visit. I don't think I'm gonna
have time to visit.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
You're not gonna go see my star.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
I don't think I can.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
All right, let's get out of here.

Speaker 6 (10:15):
Somebody's gotta cleave it.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Come on Danielle, we love you and congratulations on your
award tonight. I can't see pictures.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
I'll see you on The Intrepid Thursday.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Yes you will. I think we're wrapping up. We're wrapping up.
Have a beautiful day and thanks for listening or watching
