Speaker 1 (00:01):
Put your hand us together and we're going to start
to party and start.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
I'm reading a party.
Speaker 3 (00:06):
See Elvis Duran after Party.
Speaker 4 (00:17):
Don't you love it? Just like magic, Juju Green just
shows up every week. Hi Juju, so gandhi? Can you
tell her what he's wearing to give you a clue
about what he's about to talk about.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
He's got on a jacket. Is that a jacket or shirt?
It's a jacket? Is it a jacket Hawkins eighty six
with a tiger on the back? What could it be?
Speaker 4 (00:39):
Well, I bet we're about to find out, of course.
Juju Green also known as straw Hack Goofy wherever you
are on your socials and his podcast Everything Today, he's
Juju for us and he tells us what to see
and what to stay away from in the theaters and
on streaming. Let's get started. What do you got?
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (00:53):
Yes, So let's start off with the theaters because there's
quite a few things that's coming out at the same
exact tide, and it's something for everybody. The first one,
I should say, since it is the holiday season, you're
gonna be eating some turkey and some things with your family.
Utopia too, is definitely the Way to Go. I was
a huge, huge fan of Utopia one to go out
as probably my second favorite Disney character, right under Hercules.
(01:17):
And you know it's I saw it last night actually
with my daughter, and we had such a good time,
and I wrote down so many dang animal puns and references.
Speaker 4 (01:26):
Give us your favorite.
Speaker 5 (01:27):
Oh, let's do it, so, let's do it. Silence of
the Lambs was a big one. There was a Silence
of the Lambs reference, and there was one hold on, uh,
I actually have this whole list.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
Where did it go? Oh my god?
Speaker 5 (01:38):
Okay, okay, okay, uh Google, they use Google instead of Google.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
The Roaring Stones Truth Moose Boosh was also and the.
Speaker 5 (01:52):
Very last one, just for for you guys, there was
a fake movie that they put out there called Indi
Lama Jones.
Speaker 4 (02:01):
We love Utopia one, but I've never seen Utopia two.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
It's coming.
Speaker 5 (02:05):
You gotta check it out. It's still pretty yeah, it's
still pretty good. Wait.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
I've been counting down for this one because Utopia is
one of my favorite of the animated films. I love it.
Speaker 5 (02:15):
This is exciting, Oh my god, and it's honestly like
they I was surprised how they were able to kind
of like take the themes of the first one and
still expand it because it's so easy to just kind
of like run it back and just do the same
thing of whatever.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
But I think they did a really good job.
Speaker 5 (02:28):
I didn't even notice that we didn't see a single
reptile in the first one, and I said, oh, we
have reptiles.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Now, that's cool.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
Well, wait, Utopia one. Is that the really slow sloth
that works at the post office? Is he in the
lash flash under? Favorite thing? All right? Okay, so Utopia
two done?
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Yes, all right?
Speaker 5 (02:47):
Next up, if you're a fan of Murder Mysteries and
if you're a fan of Ryan Johnson, Knives Out three,
Wake Up dead Man is coming out this one on
Wednesday today, and it's good. It's it's good. I love
all the Knives Out movies. I think Ryan Don Johnson
does a really great job crafting an original story. But
Knives Out three this time around, As you guys know,
(03:09):
Daniel Craig is playing Ben wa Blanc and he is
the main detective this time around is always and he's
now at a Catholic church and a priest is accused
of killing another priest in the house of God, so
now he has to basically try to clear the name
of this other priest. Uh. There's a lot of wacky characters.
The cast is insane as always. You have Jeremy Renner,
(03:32):
you have Glenn Close, who is awesome in this movie.
I love Jim Close movie, Thomas Aden Church, Josh O'Connor
who we all saw in Challengers. It's just a really
stat cast, like all the way through. So Twist turns
Murder Churchy, It's great. It's for everyone, got something for everybody.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
I just think they're so stylishly shot and I just
love that who Done It? Thing? You know, it's it's
just one of the oldest stories in the book, right,
but they really capture it very well. And so knives
out three right.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
Yeah, yep, yep.
Speaker 5 (04:05):
And then this one is more of an award season thing.
If you want to cry, if you want to feel something. Hamnet,
directed by Chloe Jao, also releases this Thanksgiving week and
it's a story directed by Chloe Jao, and it's based
off a book, and it's the story of Shakespeare and
his wife dealing with the loss of their son Hamnet,
(04:27):
who was a very young boy when he passed away
and how that inspired the story of Hamlet.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
It's a very human story.
Speaker 5 (04:34):
It gives scope and scale to the life of Shakespeare
and his wife as well as their kids. And I'm
gonna just let you know right now, it's not a spoiler.
The ending will just wreck you. It will absolutely destroy you.
One of the best endings of the year. I walked
out of that theater just going like, oh my god,
I need to hug my daughter now. In everyone that
(04:54):
I love, It's one of those type of movies.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
I love it so not Hamlet.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Hamnet.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
Yeah, I think I know anything about the history of
William Shakespeare at all.
Speaker 5 (05:03):
You know what, unless you're a history buff like you
probably don't so this movie. And I believe this is
still like fictionalized to a way, but him losing his
son is a very very real thing. And so you know,
I feel like this story definitely kind of like adds context.
Whenever you think of the story of Hamlet, it's almost
like you're joining in the eulogy of his son, which
is a kind of a beautiful and somber thing.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
Okay, So Hamnet, so three in the theater, so far
as Utopia two Knives Out three and one.
Speaker 5 (05:32):
Hemnet one, there we go, and then this one because
I have two things on streaming, one of which is
a movie, because I promised you guys a Christmas movie
every week.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
All right, we have.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
Champagne Problems starring Ninka Kelly. This one you can watch
on Netflix. I'll set the scene just a little bit.
I know we were running out of time. A woman
who's very career driven. She's all about buying champagne businesses
and the like. One day she sent to Paris to
get this new champagne brand and bring it into the fold.
And then she meets a nice man, a nice frenchman.
(06:08):
They kiss, they go on a date, they see the
Eiffel Tower, and then they sleep together. Then she wakes
up late for her meeting. She goes to the meeting
and finds out it's the son of the man who
owns the champagne business. So now she has to pitch
this thing to this guy that she just slept with
(06:30):
and his father. But Christmas love is in the air.
Will she choose love or will she choose business? Love?
Champagne problems, Champagne problems, I mean I love that.
Speaker 6 (06:41):
I can't wait.
Speaker 4 (06:44):
Now we have one for you to Gandhi brought this
to me Juju and I started watching it last night
and I love it. You want to talk about it?
Speaker 1 (06:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (06:50):
Absolutely?
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Have you watched any of The Chair Company?
Speaker 5 (06:54):
No, you're the second person and tell me about the
Chair Company?
Speaker 1 (06:56):
Oh okay, yeah, pretty good. But it's your guy, Tim
Robbinson and you were talking to him about us not
too long ago and his brand of humor. I started
watching it, I was dying laughing. It is a little
quirky maybe for some people, but I think I think
you would like that.
Speaker 4 (07:10):
I'm liking it so far.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Yeah, okay, for sure.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
It's the Chair Company. It's a share it's on Max right.
Speaker 5 (07:18):
Yes, And I have to tell you the time when
I look for Welcome and Dary and.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
I'm like, is it really frightening? I think I need
a frightening movie.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
Yes, it's frightening.
Speaker 5 (07:28):
And since I last saw you guys, I actually got
to watch the entirety of the season because I interviewed
the writer, director, and developer of the show, Andy Muschetti.
It gets even crazier, Like that clown ain't playing around
in this TV show.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (07:41):
Speaking of horror movies, have you heard of the two
Wizard of Oz ones that are.
Speaker 5 (07:45):
In the works.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
About the current sequel, but keep going.
Speaker 6 (07:49):
Gail Yellow Brick Road, which is Dorothy is an old
lady and her granddaughter discovers the secret of Oz, which
has become a terrifying playground for dark force is beyond
her imagination. And then the second one is called Dorothy
The Haunting of Oz and there's a group of college
basketball players on Holloway Night that get attacked by a
terrifying version of Dorothy and company handsome serial killer clowns.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
I'm in Oh no, they sound both like Oscar material.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
Those are on the way.
Speaker 6 (08:18):
I'll let you know when they're hitting your theaters.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
Can we address something that just happened here? Yeah, she
said horror movies about the Wizard of Oz. He said
he thought she was talking about possibly Wicked for good?
Speaker 4 (08:30):
Did you is that what?
Speaker 2 (08:32):
I actually liked it? I actually liked it.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
I did catch that too, so you you did like it.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
I actually did like it.
Speaker 4 (08:40):
You know.
Speaker 5 (08:40):
The response has been kind of like all over the place.
I don't think it's as good as the original.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
But I did like it. I just wanted to be cheeky.
Speaker 6 (08:48):
I was like, yeah, wait, are you gonna.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
Talk about Hawkins.
Speaker 5 (08:52):
Listen, I gotta talk about Hawkins. Come on, I'm wearing
my Hawkins like thing.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Guys.
Speaker 5 (08:57):
Stranger Things is back and we are in the final season.
Check it out today. We are in part one of
this last season. It's Trainer Things five. It's gonna be
four episodes now, and then we have to wait till
Christmas to get the volume two and then New Year's
to get volume three. But got I saw the first
three episodes of this new season of Stranger Things, and
(09:19):
it's it feels back like the the scope and scale
is big.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
It's good to be with the characters again.
Speaker 5 (09:25):
New character dynamics they're off to like take out Vekna,
which who they can't find?
Speaker 4 (09:31):
Uh?
Speaker 5 (09:31):
And also just new characters that like you definitely endear
yourself to. But you just feel like nobody's gonna Like
not nobody, but you feel like maybe someone's not gonna
make it out of here, maybe multiple someone's not gonna
make it out of this one. The steaks are huge
for this new season. I'm a huge Trainer Thing sam.
Speaker 4 (09:47):
If me too.
Speaker 6 (09:48):
I'm so excited. I cannot wait.
Speaker 4 (09:49):

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Barber funeral.
