Speaker 1 (00:03):
What would you talk about on your on your podcast?

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Fine, Elvis fifteen minute morning show.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
We go the fifteen minute morning show podcast. But it's summer.
It's summer schedule, so it may be less than fifteen minutes.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Well, I like this.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
It's the new five minutes summer podcast.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
It is.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
You sound so enthusiastic about it, So let's do it.
Danielle wants to start the podcast out with a question. Yeah,
we don't know what it is. You're gonna be surprised,
just like the rest of us.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
So here's my question. It's his firsts for you, elis,
do you have ed Cheron's phone number?

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (00:40):
Okay, Because an article just came out in People two
hours ago. They posted this on social Garrett and I
were talking about it. It says ed Sheered reveals why
he hasn't had a phone since twenty fifteen.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Well, that's why I hesitated.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
If I called him right now, it wouldn't go to him,
It goes to someone who's usually with him.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
Oh okay, because he said that he was getting losing
real life interaction and that's one of the reasons why
he doesn't have one anymore. So now people were commenting
on the post. People can be so mean. That's what
happens when you got all these people that are helping
you out.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Well, I'm going to make an assumption here, and I
think it's right. I think he does have a phone,
but it's only for he and his wife.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
Okay, well, that makes good for emergencies in case the
kids have an emergen.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
He's not gonna give me that number. No, that makes sense,
the baphone, But the good thing is for anything else.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
But that's good to know that if it all goes
to his people and they deal with it, so he
doesn't have to deal with and he can concentrate on
other things. Right, Okay, that makes sense to me that,
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
That was my question. If I was his wife, I'm
sure I would have that number. Yeah, I'm not. I'm
the people that they're trying to protect him from. What's
that gar?

Speaker 5 (01:48):
I think it's also because he was talking about there
was just so many things consuming his life on that phone,
between apps and scrolling, and he just true and he
said in the article too, and on Jay Sheen's podcast
that he just lost connection. So a guy that's on
stage in front of thousands of people every night still
didn't feel like he was connected with people even though
he was on his phone.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
We know he talked about this on our show. I
recall this conversation and it was basically the same thing
you just said.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
That's the he said he has something to video stuff
that would then go up on social media. He says,
like he was at a game the other night, at
a basketball game, and they gave him the phone it's
a video, and then he gives I guess he gives
it back.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Yeah, well he did that right in front of us.
Remember the day after the trial of he came in
and he had a phone. He was doing some stuff.
But he did return it to someone in the room.
So that's that story.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
It's very interesting. Huh find that fascinating.

Speaker 6 (02:39):
I wish me too. I wish I had to take
this take it.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Let's talk about uh the end of our show today.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
I don't know if you've heard the show, but we're
talking about this big murder trial that's going on up
in Boston and uh, fascinating Karen Reid murder trials.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
What it is? It's all over TikTok.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
It's about shady cops, prosecution, judge crazy in the field investigations.
It does sound pretty wild and wicked, as they would say,
right GONDI wicked crazy.

Speaker 6 (03:12):
Oh yeah, it has taken over all of New England.
I wouldn't say just Boston. I would say that whole area,
and because you know I used to live there and
I was on a show there. That show covers it
NonStop on Kiss Went Away, and so does my friend
Ashley show. It's just like, what can you find out
about the Karen Reid child today? Which witnesses can we
have come talk to us? Like it's crazy. I know,

(03:34):
it's really hard.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
It could become like a big cover up thing.

Speaker 6 (03:37):
Who knows that's what they're saying. But it's so funny
how it's just split right down the middle with half
the people saying she absolutely did it and the other
half it's absolutely cover up, she had nothing to do
with this, and both sides swear that they're right, but
there's just like no gray area for either side.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Wow, fascinating. And the question in the room during a
song or something when we were not on Mike, was well,
why are we so fascinated with this kind of stuff?
Because it's a story that's unfolding right before your eyes.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
I mean, you don't know the answer.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
So that's where we start assuming, right, the hypotheses start
rolling and I don't know.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
Now I want to go get involved with it.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
I'm gonna go Netflix up the rights and you'll have
a show and no time to watch.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
It's the trial of the century. Like you go back
to your time, and you.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
Know, before TV and before people even.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Really know how to read. It's like, whoa, all right, well.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
What's going on? Who's getting persecuted or prosecuted for what?
It's I mean, Elvis, you've had trials of the century,
Like when you were younger, things that were going on
that were playing out. Wasn't that Patty Hurst thing or something?

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Oh yeah, yeah, I was very young by the way.
Yeah yeah. Patty Hurst the great granddaughter of William Randolph
Hurst or granddaughter maybe no, great granddaughter, a very powerful
media family. She was kidnapped and then brainwashed into robbing banks.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
At gunpoint.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
And then when they when they wanted to try to
bring her back, She's like, no, I like these guys.
But they didn't bring her back. They brought her back
into was a trial of the century. You know what
trial I loved was from Florence, Italy. The Amanda Knox trial.

Speaker 6 (05:16):
It was crazy.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Remember American student living in Florence, you know, with roommates,
and then someone dies and she's accused, the Americans accused
of murdering someone. And that turned into a major fiasco because,
you know, as crazy as courtroom drama rolls out in
the United States, Italy it's a whole other set of rules.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
That's the reason.

Speaker 6 (05:38):
Yeah, alleged, allegedly, And now she's going back to trial again.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
Yeah for what slanderlander?

Speaker 6 (05:48):
She blamed it on a bar owner and he says
it ruined his life. He had nothing to do with this.
Now he's suing her. So she's going back to court
in Italy.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
I couldn't she choose not to go? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (05:59):
I think that's the thing because if she shows back
up in Italy, she gets arrested. So so by her
staying here she doesn't have to face anything. She just
never can go to Italy ever again.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
But well, I think she went. Didn't she go? I
think she did go.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Let me double check though, Yeah, because I thought I
saw that documentary and the whole thing is she can
never go back to right right, But maybe that's changed.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
I don't know. Yeah, maybe she didn't go.

Speaker 6 (06:23):
She's been convicted of it, she's.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Been reconvicted of slander in Italy. Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
But why didn't you just stay.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Where you are because they've got great food and wine.
That's where tuscanes gorgeous this time of year in handcuffs.
Why do we get so wrapped up.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Because we don't know the outcome? Right?

Speaker 2 (06:45):
Yeah, exactly, because it is. It's a true, well written story, right.

Speaker 6 (06:52):
And it's one of those things where when you're watching
a movie, don't you try to figure out how the
movie is happening, like who did it? And I think
all of us want to be the person that figures
it out and is like, I know, none of us
have any idea what.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
Is going on.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
The O. J.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Simpson trial was definitely the trial of the century for
my life anyway the same and uh yeah, so we
watched that unfold and that was drama. It was more
than just facts about murder. It was there was drama
going on, human lives that were that were ruined, and
you know, it's just there's so much to it.

Speaker 5 (07:22):
But even with OJ though it still went on up
until the day he still passed his death that it
was like, who did it? Was it was it him?

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Was it his son? Was O J?

Speaker 6 (07:32):
Simpson did it?

Speaker 1 (07:34):
If he didn't watch.

Speaker 4 (07:34):
The O J. Simpson like documentary that was on as
a Netflix I think, right maybe, and they interview all
of his friends and all the people that knew them
and all the people that knew her, and oh my gosh,
she used to talk about how he beat the ship
out of it all the time, and nobody did anything.

Speaker 6 (07:49):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
I mean, I did see a documentary that made a
very compelling argument his son, right, so, and he was
covering up for.

Speaker 6 (07:57):
Him fall and then what made him get to the
bronco with the disguise and the money and have his
friend driver.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
It wasn't Halloween. It wasn't Halloween.

Speaker 5 (08:08):
No, it just ruined the NBA Finals for me. So
then Nicks versus the Houston Rockets. I was so pissed
in fifth grade broncoach, they interrupted the NBA Finals for that, Like,
come on, that's what that's when OJ wanted to talk
to a moderate shot live on the air while the
NBA Finals was going on, and yeah, he said they.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Should they should have put that call on are you
kidding me. I would have enjoyed it.

Speaker 5 (08:33):
I wouldn't have been pissed off at OJ at the time.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Then, I mean, it just adds to the drama, you know,
and if you're you know, add that extra layer of
celebrity where you think your your your ship don't stink?

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Right?

Speaker 4 (08:44):
Yep?

Speaker 1 (08:46):
What other what other accused? What other person accused of murdering?

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Someone would want to go on a sports game show
and talk to you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (08:54):
I mean, who are you imagine being a moderate shot
just at home watching the game, Be like, Hey, OJ's
on the phone.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
He wants to talk to you live on the air
right now while the game's going on. They put that
put that call on right now. Anyway, let's keep an
eye on this trial. Let's keep an eye on it.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
Let's bring it back on the show earlier tomorrow and
talk about it because it is fascinating. Is the anything
else we need to cover before we run for our lives?
After our five minute we actually went way over. We
went way over a five.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
