Speaker 1 (00:01):
Get your head us together, and we're going to start
to party.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
I'm ready to party the Elvis DA Ran After Party.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
The Party Podcast. Hey guys, we got a full house.
We've got Danielle, We've got Gandhi, We've got straight in eight,
and there's Garrett and Scottie b Is in the house.
And that's all of us. I guess it's Scary is
somewhere over the Pacific or Atlantic Ocean, Pacific. He's flying
in the opposite side of the world from Europe. He Yeah,
(00:36):
here's the problem with Scary in vacations. He always leaves early.
He'll leave the show early to travel overseas and then
plant a flight that arrives an hour before the show.
After vacation's over.
Speaker 4 (00:47):
We need an intervention because I have warned him.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
I go, what time's your flight back?
Speaker 4 (00:52):
He goes, oh, you know, it is the last flight out,
and I'm gonna get back with just enough time to
go to sleep.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
And then Nona, screw us. We're not going to do that.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
And you know there's always delays and stuff always, so
you know.
Speaker 5 (01:07):
I've heard Nate warn him. I've heard this conversation between.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
The two of them.
Speaker 5 (01:11):
Yeah, and I guess it doesn't make a difference.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
So it's about to make a difference. Yeah, it's about
to make a difference.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Nate.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
We have to approve his flights, yes before Hey, I'm
right there, you know, and you know it's okay.
Speaker 4 (01:26):
Here's what I'll say is we can pick up the
slack like Garrett, fantastic job today. In the background, Garrett
was managing the log Sam made sure all the spots
were in.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
I ran the board.
Speaker 4 (01:36):
But it's you in Elvis. I know you were extra vigilant,
right because I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
Five minutes earlier. So there's that, yes, but that it
affects everybody.
Speaker 4 (01:46):
And here he is willy nilly like, oh yeah, it's
gonna milk all my time in Cisil Like no, no, no,
he's milking.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
He's milking us. I don't want to be milked by
scary Jones. Oh god who and they almost to be
milked by scat I.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Want to see an attemph at least for me.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
No.
Speaker 6 (02:04):
But you know what the other problem Gandhi brought it
up though, is is when we lead the day of vacation,
he somehow just goes it's the only flight I can
get out at nine am.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
I gotta leave at seven thirty.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Not at all, not at all, not gonna happen ever again, Mark,
I freaking word, he's not gonna do it again. Oh
my god, for skear, for scare Danielle.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
You know, I mean, I don't.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Blame it man for milking it.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
For all it's worth good for him.
Speaker 5 (02:29):
The part that he always leaves out is it's the
only direct flight that day that he could get out.
If he were willing to take a flight later, he
might have a connecting flight or god forbid being coached.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
Well, he can do, he can do whatever he wants
to do, but we will pre approve of one.
Speaker 6 (02:47):
Of the reasons that he told me, wh I go,
why don't you just take like a flight at like
two or three o'clock?
Speaker 1 (02:52):
He goes, My day's gone at that point. That's one
lest day of vacation.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
Not gonna work, not gonna work.
Speaker 5 (02:59):
You know, we need to bring the studio taser in.
I'm telling you, guys, it will be okay.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
I'm glad we had this discussion. We can move on.
So while a vacation, we all did different things. Nate
went to Vegas. I did, and why do you need
to go to Vegas? Did you need to like it
to get it out of your system? Boys weekend or something? Well?
Not really. The guys I went with did right, So
did you do hookers in blow?
Speaker 6 (03:24):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (03:24):
My god, so many hookers and so much Okay, No.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
I went to Los Angeles to see my friend and
is very cute new baby. And then from there it
was the annual fantasy football draft trip for their league,
and you know, I tagged along and so they do
it every year. So went to Vegas. I will say
(03:48):
tourism is very down in really yeah.
Speaker 5 (03:52):
Yeah, summer man, who's trying to go to Vegas in summer?
Speaker 4 (03:55):
No, it's it was It's a big weekend for them, right,
Labor Day weekend. It's a lot of people have their
last you know, and it was you We did not
have to wait for a cab. We got last minute reservations.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
And even in the summer. Yeah, well, with the iHeartRadio
Music Festival in September, they're knowing, they know they're gonna
have a spike then, but they need more of those.
You know.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
What I want to do. I want us to just
fly in for the day so we can go to
the Sphere and see the Wizard of Oz.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Yes, cool, if you gotta go, they have The Sphere
has an Instagram page. Go look at the video of
Wizard of Oz that looks in breaking when.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
The tornado comes through the flying monkeys. I'm like, this
is all I mean, honestly, I would do it. I
would fly in just for that and fly back out.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
So we were trying to find some We're like, hey,
you know, you need something to do on Saturday night,
and that was one of the options. And so we
were just, you know, talking about possibly going to see
the Wizard of Oz and everybody was poo pooing it
until we saw the videos, like, oh, we should have.
Speaker 6 (04:56):
Gone, but our tickets, like our tickets two hundred bucks
though to go see.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
So I was looking online. You can't get last minutes.
It's a huge place. You can't get last minute tickets.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
And that's the thing about the Sphere. All seats are
good seats. Its fair. Oh yeah, yeah, okay. So that
was NAT's vacation, Garrett, what did you do?
Speaker 6 (05:13):
I went to Orlando and Jacksonville a visit family, and
I went to Disney and Universal got to go to
Epic Universe.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
Which is how was it it be? It's beautiful.
Speaker 6 (05:25):
I mean I felt like I was living in Mario's world,
like playing like riding a cart in Donkey Kong, chasing
you that that was a lot of fun. My daughter,
who's seven years old, it was cool to watch her.
She she went on her first upside down roller coaster
and you know, she's like, I'm nervous, I'm scared. And
then watching like you know, fifty year old guys going hi,
(05:46):
I can't do it and backing out at the at
the at the start of the roller coaster, and my
seven year old daughter's like, no, I got this. That
was That was awesome. It was a cool experience just
to you know, like you say, all the time walking
down Main Street in Disney World, it just it transports
you back to that childhood memory.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
And to experience it with my kids, I mean, it's something.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
It's priceless love that I want to get back to
Orlando soon. I will. And Gandhi, Gandhi, you did some incredible,
incredible travels and now you're in Columbus with your sister,
but you're back on the air and work in the
beauty of the microphone. Something scary can't do. How was
your trip to the Caribbean.
Speaker 5 (06:28):
It was incredible. It was the trip of a lifetime.
I mean, the Caribbean is always beautiful. I had no
idea how beautiful Saint Vincent was going to be in itself.
And Sandals, I mean, we love them obviously. That over
the Water villa was crazy. But even if you don't
do and over the Water villa and you get a
room or they have these little houses, it is very
doable for a lot of people. Because that was the
(06:49):
one question I was getting all the time.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
Can I afford this?
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (06:52):
Absolutely, And don't forget it's all included. So once you
hit the resort, you're eating for free, you're drinking for free.
Our friends, the Island Roots, took such good care of us,
so we got to do really cool excursions and got
to do that volunteer project with the Sandals Foundation and
the veter Heritage Site. It was the best, most like
fulfilling trip ever.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
I love that you said that, And then Daniel meanwhile,
was that one of their sister properties? Yeah, beach in Jamaica.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
Yeah, beaches in Negrill in Jamaica, And the same thing.
Trip of a lifetime. We had the best time. And
just because you don't have little kids doesn't mean you
can't go to a beaches because we we don't have
little kids, and we had the best time. I even
met Elmo. Come on, you guys know how much that
meant to me?
Speaker 1 (07:34):
Yes, did you say em?
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Total talk to him with my Elmo voice. He was
very impressed. But like, one of the things I loved
about Sandals was talking and the Beaches was talking to
the people that work there, and they said that they
really do promote from within. So I know the manager,
the general manager there, he's been with the company thirty years.
(07:57):
He started out at the bottom and now he's running
his own own property. And they give back so much
with the Sandals Foundation. And they also like they've paid
for college classes for people, or if you want to
go into hospitality, they'll send you to a hospitality class.
Like it made me feel so good. I know they're
a partner of ours, but it made me feel so
(08:18):
good vacationing at a place like that because you know
that they really do what they say they do.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
You know, right, you know a great thing about Beaches
and Sandals. To that point, do you go to a
favorite restaurant. It's been family owned for thirty years. That's
different than going to some flashy new restaurants that just
came to town. Family owned is everything because it's that
family's sole objective.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
Well, that's the same with sandals and resources. This family's
own these resorts for so many years and continue to
buy new ones. But it's that family atmosphere, and they
promote people, yep, from whatever position they started with all
the way up to running these properties.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
It's amazing.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
It makes a big difference. And they know and understand
the Caribbean culture her better than all the others, so
they stir it into every resort. So you get to
see another side of the world through the eyes of
people who are from there, you know. And I can't
wait to make my trip. I haven't gone yet. I
gotta go. It's you guys know, it's my turn. I
went back off. I love it. Look we've got we've
(09:20):
got a roll. Scotti bee. What did you do for vacation? Now?
Would you did tell us earlier? But I want to
revisit that.
Speaker 7 (09:25):
Yes, it was just it was another road trip with
there was my second road trip to Florida in two weeks.
So I drove down to Jacksonville and stayed with Froggy
for a couple of days. Then my daughter and I
drove over to Gainesville to see my daughter other daughter
University of Florida.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
That was how was that seeing her for the first
time since you had to leave her at school.
Speaker 7 (09:44):
It was amazing because she was so happy and living
her best life and she was just had a glow
to her. She was showing us the campus and she
was just having the best time there. So that was
incredible and it was sad to leave her again. But
then we drove to Orlando and we went to Disney
for the day. On Friday, we did Magic Kingdom and
Epcot had a massive power outage because it got struck
by lightning and my daughter was stuck up in the
(10:04):
air for forty five minutes right on soar and so
it was inside.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
It was the whole park was I was on Small Worlds.
It was crazy.
Speaker 6 (10:12):
Oh god, you were stuck in Small world Luckily at
the end, right, so I couldn't get off, like it
was like, please don't get out of the boat, Please
don't get out of the boat.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
I was right. I couldn't put my.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
Hood on wait, so it was off at Magic Kingdom too.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
It was.
Speaker 6 (10:24):
It was the entire it was the entire Disney property.
A lightning struck and then everything went out for twenty minutes.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Woaw.
Speaker 5 (10:31):
I even know that was possible.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
I know they should They should buy a generator.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
That's what I thought.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
So wait, did so all the like things that are moving,
the dolls that are tall rosy, did they just freeze it? Wah?
It was creepy for how long?
Speaker 1 (10:44):
It was about twenty to thirty minutes.
Speaker 7 (10:46):
Well, I mean my daughter was in the air for
forty five minutes to an hour before they cranked her down.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
Because they have safety protocol they have to go through.
They just electricities on. That's not enough, yea. I make
sure they get them down safely. You know what, I
can't believe this didn't make nationwide news.
Speaker 7 (10:59):
It kind of did. My daughter's video got picked up
by ABC. She recorded herself when she was stuck in
the air.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
Wo wow wow. So that was fun.
Speaker 7 (11:07):
And then then we drove back to Jacksonville, did another
two days there, and then drove back up to New
York and we got home on Monday.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
You know what, we have to introduce you to the
world of aircraft. It's so much more fun. Do you
think they could get paid?
Speaker 2 (11:19):
Do you think I could pay to get stuck and
haunted mansion?
Speaker 3 (11:24):
They should, They should pay you to go and state
it all right, We got to get out of here.
It's a welcome back podcast and Scary will join us tomorrow.
Hopefully you can stand all the yelling at he's getting spanking.
We're gonna spank it. Okay, bye you everyone, After party.
