Speaker 1 (00:01):
A poor sheets up this program. We're prerecorded so much.
He's the host of the most listen to top forty
show in America. Let's make love. What are you? I'm
the pianist that is the single most annoying sound on
the planet. We are imbeciles. Story over Elvis Duran in

(00:25):
the Morning Shows. Duran in the Morning Show. Yes, We've
got many reasons to celebrate you guys want to celebrate
some fun stuff today? Yes, yes, please. First of all,
today marks the twenty fourth anniversary of this morning show. Wow,
twenty four years of waking up and coming in here

(00:47):
and making the donuts. Anyway, thank you Scotty Bee for
pointing that out. Thanks to Scotty Bee's uh Facebook flashback
or whatever the hell that thing is. Yeah, twenty four
years ago we started this show. You know another reason
we should celebrate today? Why? Why it's Earth Day? And
look at our mother Earth. You know I was on
the phone with Froggy earlier and he gave me the

(01:08):
most amazing perspective. We'll talk about that in a few minutes.
You know what to celebrate Earth Day? How about we, uh,
let's bring up some little dicky if you know what
I'm saying, this is Earth. Happy Earth Day everyone. It is.
We love it is. We love it is. We love

(01:42):
him a bib my comment just let's sends huge. Hey,
I'm no one knows what I do, but pretty cool.
Em My life a duck. I'm a lying car and

(02:05):
the boys getting like I'm going on a call taking
me from I'm a f big, I'm a calm and fungus.
I'm a discard skunk. Shoot you well, but I'm playing
back and get you and I'm calling be. We we
love it is a plany. We love beer. It is

(02:30):
a whole. We love be. It is a plant. We
love beer. It is all we love. But I'm but
I'm mind. We are. The volcher's feet on the bed
were just some rhinos. I'm just sure of was with

(02:52):
the same hippyp I'm king of. How about that down?
Another fit like a junk in my child? Look, come on,
I'm a square looking for my next night. And I'm
a pony, just a free coldhead. But come on, get on, Yeah,
getting up plans. Try ain't baby, don't let me learn.

(03:18):
I'm a cool water and I sleep all the time.
So what it's cute. We love it Lydy, We love
you Offre girl. We love it tiny, We forgive you,
Jim buddy. It is a plan. He love me. We

(03:44):
it is our plan. It is our We love the ears.
I'm a man, can you hear me? I've trust the
Earth first, so down long and still don't know, don't know.
I hope it's not a simulation. Give each other names

(04:06):
like ah Man and payroid. Yeah, we like to wear clothes.
Girls still look beautiful and it covers up our humans
eat a lot of tuna fish. But these days it's
like we don't know how to act. All these show things, pollution,
we under attack on ourselves, Like let's all just chill
respect what we built, Like, look at the Internet is
cracking as hell. That such a letter and now we're women.
They're better than what we got is land for what

(04:29):
we gotta stand for? Long? Can we love? Happy Earth Day?

(04:57):
It's the fiftieth anniversary of Earth Day. By the way,
it's just so amazing to look at our cleaner waterways
from outer space. When they shoot back at the Earth,
you see animals coming out and enjoying a world that
they couldn't enjoy a month ago. It's unbelievable. Hey, Froggy,
can you can you remember what you told me on

(05:17):
the phone like forty five minutes ago? It was it
was pretty great, A great way to start Earth Day. Yes,
if in thirty days that we've been in quarantine, you've
seen how mother Earth has kind of cleansed herself. We're
seeing cleaner water, we're seeing the turtles, the end of
the water in Italy. So much good has come out
of this in just thirty days. Look what the Earth
has been able to do to kind of cleanse herself.

(05:38):
Imagine where we'll be in sixty days or ninety days,
or if this does last a little longer. There are
positives coming out of this, and the Earth is such
a beautiful place and we're doing our part to take
care of the environment. Wow, isn't that great? Remember a
little Dicky actually came into our show to a premiere
that song, and he was downstairs in our building. He
didn't know why, why he was here? Yep, I remember

(05:59):
that day. It was like, why wait, little Dickie's here.
I guess there's a little Dickie. He's like, he said,
why am I hearing? We're like, why is a little
Dickie here? We come on in. What a great song,
Happy Earth Day. Let's do anything and everything we can
to keep mother Earth as happy as we can. Let's
go talk to Sherry calling in from Fort Lauderdale. She's
on our way to work. She's working with COVID patients today. So, Sherry,

(06:21):
you've been a nurse for fifteen years? Is this true? Yes? Yes,
it's true. Yeah, And why do they listen to this? Guys?
Why do they call you the vampire? Could they say
I could get a vein on a dead person. That
takes talent? That takes talent. You know what? Last time
I went in, Last time I went in for a

(06:42):
for a blood sample or whatever, they had to like
poke and prod me for like twenty minutes. They finally
found a vein. But you can find vein, Sherry. You've
got You've got the gift. I have the gift. It's
all by what you feel and not by what you say.
Isn't that funny? I think we should live our lives
like that. Do you exactly do you leave bruises? Because

(07:03):
when I went once, this lady left the bruise down
my entire arm. It was so bad. Daniel, No, I
am not the bruiser. Not the bruiser. She's an empire.
So repeat what you just said, Sherry. It's not about
what you see, it's about what you feel. Is that
what you said? Yeah, that's right. Like everything else in life.
You know what I'm gonna do when I drive my

(07:24):
car today, I'm gonna I'm gonna use that it's my guy.
I'm gonna put I'm gonna bring my mask up over
my eyes and just feel my way to the grocery store.
Wish me luck. That's it. I will wish you luck. Well. Look, so, Sherry,
you're going to work with COVID patients. What exactly are
you seeing? What is your your what is your perspective

(07:45):
as of today? Well, you know, miracles are happening every day.
I had a patient come off the event yesterday and
it was a good day. You know, some days are
better than others. But you just got away and you
put one foot in front of the other and you
do what you have to do, you know, and and
you make sure they're not alone. And a lot of prayer,

(08:08):
a lot of prayer. Wow. Wow, look at that, Sherry.
Well you know it's uh, it's a calling. I leave
my daughter at home. She's doing tell Us school and
she's fifteen, and she she leaves a bag by the door.
I give my neighbors a show every night. I stripped
down naked in front of my house and you know,

(08:28):
she's waiting for me with a hot meal. And it
is what it is, you know. And I haven't seen
my mom in six weeks. She's gonna be seventy five.
But I shipped through a selling machine and she's making
maths and uh, it's a family thing, you know. Wow.
And I'm proud to be a nurse, you know. And

(08:48):
I want to thank you guys because every morning, you
guys get me into work. You know, I listened to
you on XM and Z one hundred. I grew up
in New York and I've been down here for about
twenty years. And I'm proud to be a nurse. I'm
proud to be a New Yorker. I'm proud to be
living in Florida now and helping people. And it's just amazing,

(09:11):
you know, Sherry, it sounds like you have a million
reasons to be proud. Your daughter, your work, your life,
your attitude. We we we uh I say this and
I really mean it. I'll say it again. We are
honored to know that you were listening to us every day. Uh,
you're you're something else. Thank you. I'm turning up. Hey.

(09:32):
You know what, we have some friends up here in Hackensack,
New Jersey, at Hackensack Meridian Health, an incredible, incredible hospital. Uh. They,
along with us, we got together and we created the
Elvis Drain Morning Show. Scrubs. I'm sure you could use
more scrubs in your life. Every day. We're gonna send
you some of these. We're gonna send you whatever we

(09:53):
can cram in a box. We're gonna send to you
because you are you or something else. Sherry, thank you
so much for you know my sisters up there, she's
in mahwa and she's compromised and she hasn't left the house.
She works for the I l A. And Uh, she
she's in Mahwah and she her hospital attacking stack. So
that's amazing. We're gonna send you two pair then you

(10:15):
can and you can mail them back to your sister.
We'll get her address. We'll figure it out. But thank
you so much. It's so great talking to you. We
love you, Sherry. Oh, by the way, if you're listening
in Fort Lauderdella, let's listen to why one hundred. We
need we need to hire ratings down here. You know
what I'm saying. We don't we don't get you in
the news. Yeah, I know, we don't get we don't
get ratings from serious XM. Screw then, thank you so much.

(10:37):
We love you, Sherry. Hold on one second, love you,
hold on one second. Oh god, I'm so sorry you guys. No, kid,
that was beautiful. It's her whole family involved too. It's
like a whole baby. She shifted a sewing machine to
her mom and now her mom. So it's like, oh
my gosh, hey, listen whenever, whenever, whenever you're sitting there

(11:00):
going what is this all about? It's it's It's about Sherry,
it really is. It's about people like that, and we
have millions. Actually, think about it, We've got millions of
people listening to us every day who are Sherry's And
it's just the fact they're listening to us. It's like,
who are we, you know, who are we to be
blessed with so many great listeners? So anyway, I'm sorry,

(11:20):
Oh god, I gotta go, Yeah, I gotta go. Chew
on an edible. I gotta calm down. Let's get into
the horoscopes, all right, Please take it away, Danielle. All right, Leslie,
it's machine Gun Kelly's birthday today, So happy birthday. Jeffrey

Your day is nine and those are your Wednesday morning horoscopes. Excellent.
Let's get into the three things we need to know.
Here's something I just noticed. Do you ever go back

(13:28):
and see texts on your phone that you don't remember? Yes,
all the time. Gandhi the other night sent me. I asked, Gandhi,
what are you guys up to? And she left me
with this, Well, we're just smoking weed, eating and banging it.
Else to do? Those are the three things we need
to know right there? Oh? All right? What else do

(13:50):
we need to know? What's going on? Gandhi? Ah, lots
of stuff? Well. President Trump highlighted a few details of
his executive order to temporarily stop immigration during the coronavirus pandemic.
He told reporters the suspension with last sixty days and
will apply to those seeking permanent residents. The order could
be extended after the initial sixty day period, and today
is a deadline for some Americans if they want to

(14:11):
get their five hundred dollars per child in coronavirus stimulus money.
Those include people receiving Social Security and supplemental Security income,
as well as people who might still need to file
a tax return. The IRS needs to see dependent information
through its website by today at noon, Eastern time. Good
luck with that one. And oh the controversy. Froggy and

(14:31):
I were talking about this this morning. Tom Brady could
be throwing to Rob Gronkowski again. Yesterday, report came out
Gronk retired. He went to kind of try his hand
and wrestling and do other things, and then he came back. Well,
when he came back, he had to be released by
the Patriots. They said they're going to do it. He's
probably headed to Tampa Bay as long as he passes

(14:51):
a physical and people in New England are livid at him.
Broggie's very excited. Yeah, Croc won three Super Bowls with
Tom Brady. He's one of Brady's favorite targets. And we'll
see how this works out. But Froggy is very excited.
Oh those are your three things? Thank you? Gandhi, all right,
I think it's Wednesday. Yeah, Wednesday. You guys ready for Wednesday?

(15:16):
Come on, let's have it Wednesday, Come on, let's go
into it. Hey, Hi, this is Katy Perry. I'm Sean Mendez,
Elvis Duran, Elvis Duran and the Morning Shows, Duran in
the Morning Show, three jouns and when it comes to
home an auto insurance. State Farm is the real deal.
Vile acclaim or pay your bill with the award winning

(15:37):
State Farm Mobile app, or contact any of their nineteen
thousand local agents who are ready to help, like a
good neighbor. State Farm is there when in public social
distancing at least six feet Elvis Duran in The Morning
Show plus six feet. We're sixty miles away from each other,
even more with Froggy, I mean hello, I mean further away?

(15:59):
Can we get We're doing our job. Welcome to the Wednesday.
We have a big announcement coming up in an hour
and a half about a special event that we're hosting
this weekend. We'll get into that and, like I said,
in an hour and a half eight o'clock East Coast time. Yes,
Mike from Ohio, we see your text and we agree.
Thank an IT person today. Your computers work in your

(16:19):
online You can VPN into your computer from home working
checking email. So Mike is representing all our IT of professionals. Mic.
We appreciate your text. If you want to text us
and check in, say hi and happy Earth Day, you
can text us at fifty five one hundred. Good Morning Producer, Sam,
good morning, Can we talk about how paranoid you are.
So you're talking on that micro What kind of mic

(16:40):
is that? Again? It's a jetty blue Yeah, those are
really big right now. It's very sexual looking. So Sam
says she's in the middle of her day every day
and she looks over just to make sure the light
isn't on, because she's convinced the government is turning it
on to hear her conversations with her hot boyfriend. Will
I am. I'm so worried ab about that. And it's
not even because they're good conversations. It's like mostly shower thoughts.

(17:04):
So I'm just like mostly embarrassed for whomever whatever spy
is assigned to know about my life. You know, they
are listening in every day. They're listening to every word
you're saying, and they have a way of listening without
the light coming on. You know, they can do that.
And it's the same for your laptop because usually when
your laptop, when the camera comes on, the lights on.

(17:26):
Now they have a way of watching you without turning
the light on. Keep that in mind today. Wait a minute,
what the hell am I supposed to do? Where do
I put this thing? I don't know? In the track
damn it. But that side on the porch. I refer
to the spy as Charles. Whenever I think he's listening,
I'm like, sub Charles. So anyway about Aunt's do you
really think they need all of those legs? Are you serious?
People really think this way? Is there that much paranoia

(17:47):
going on in this world of ours? There is a
really you guys think that it came out and said that, yeah,
we're listening to you guys. Well we know that. You know,
you could be talking about let's say, chocolate ice cream
and then you get an ad a minute later for
you know, Baskin Robbins exactly, but I don't tell me
I'm not listening. Well, okay, I think here's here's my

(18:11):
paranoid thought. I think computers are listening to us. I
don't think live people are tuning into our into our houses.
Can you agree with that? Little you? Probably they are
name is Casey. Oh my god, you're all talking at
the same time. What Danielle do you think? I think
every now and then they'll like say, oh, let's see
what so and so is doing, and they'll click on

(18:32):
and if they hear something interesting, they're like, oh, we
need to investigate further on this one. Oh god, do
you agree with that? Oh yeah, I mean Google came
out not that long ago and said, yeah, we do
have people listening to your live speakers will tune in
every so often see if there's anything, and then tune
back out. Apparently you agree to it in your terms
and services or whatever that is, so they listen. Yeah,

(18:54):
for sure. I think your TV does it. I think
anything that has a microphone is doing it. Wow, scary
listening to you too. I don't think there's any coincidence
that all last weekend I was talking out loud about
getting better lighting for my Zoom meetings and all the
people are well, I get his advertisements for ring lights
right now. No matter which social media I open up Instagram, Facebook,

(19:16):
it's like, oh you need this light, you need that light.
I'm like, how do you think it could be? But also,
keeping on, ring lights are like the number one purchased
item right now. People there, everyone's buying them. Yeah, Froggy,
what are you thinking they're listening to you? Yeah, if
anybody's listening to my life, if that's the job you've
been given by the government, home, my god, I feel
so sorry for you. What a boring job do you have? Hey,
let me tell you. If you're gonna listen to my life,

(19:36):
I'm gonna give you a show. I'm gonna give you
a show, all right, producer Sam. They're all agreeing with you.
They're listening into everything you say, So make it interesting.
You know what. I don't chit chat. We want something good.
Give us some juicy, juicy something. Do you have a
good feel good today? What do you have? I do?
And Danielle sent it to me. I'd love this one,
so you Jober Casey nice chat. He lives in LA

(19:58):
and yesterday he's scratched a stranger's car while parking. So
thankfully he did the right thing and he left a
note with his phone number offering to fix it. The
stranger text him back that day and wrote, please don't
worry about the scratch. Any money you had to put
toward my car feel free to please donate to a
local food bank. Have a great week. So these guys

(20:19):
are what I call in a good person off because
they're competing for awesomeness and they're both winning. Casey decided
to donate two hundred and fifty dollars to the La
Regional Food Bank in honor of quote, mister scratched car
and he said to photo of the receipt, we have
proof of good humanness. And I think this is so
good that maybe we should all scratch someone's car today
and do this and then see if they want us

(20:39):
to donate. Okay, you're probably right, probably right, but I'm
gonna happen to this pair because it was a good donation.
What Samanta quarantine? Quarantine is not sitting pretty with you.
You've watched your man something. We love you, Thank you, producer, Sam,
We love you, Love you guys. Danielle has her first

(21:02):
report and some around the room stuff on the way.
What do you have coming up? Danielle oh Man, the
all in challenge today. What you can bid on is incredible.
You're gonna want it all right? That and more on
the way. We'll be back right after this in the
morning show. In the Morning Show. I don't know about you,

(21:23):
but life, of course has changed so much, especially work.
Here we are working out of our basements in our
guest bedrooms. Yep, here's what I'm doing for work. Here's
all my list of things to do for work this week,
growing out my beard for a video to be shot
on Friday and drinking Martinez while playing the piano wearing

(21:45):
a Santa costume. That's what I did this week. I
hope you're very tough. This is the weirdest, weirdest thing. Uh.
Did anyone get to watch our show last night? Like
cozy very end of it? I saw people in Santa
costumes and confetti of some sort. I was like, yes,
happening here. You know, we had twenty five thousand people

(22:07):
coming through our our show last night. I'm not saying
they stayed very long, but anyway. Yeah, it's a new
series called Alex and Elvis at the Piano and so
we had our first production yesterday and it was lovely.
I like my favorite part though, was when you had
a surprise for everyone and you were like, oh my gosh,

(22:27):
let me bring over a surprise and you run over
a Christmas bag and went into they don't ruin it.
Don't ruin it? Why people? Because people to go watch
You can go watch it. Oh why are you gonna
do it again? Oh? The people can go always it
up there? Yeah. Yeah, it was Instagram Live. It's it's
on my Instagram Live until tonight. Right, Okay, I don't
want to accuse anybody of anything or jumped any conclusions,

(22:50):
but I'm going to guess that there were alcoholic beverages
involved prior to said performance. Wow, you're brilliant. Seriously, captain
obvious over here. I think there was even more after
the performance, because I got a lovely phone call later
on in the evening and I enjoyed it. I was

(23:11):
cracking a laugh and I'm like this, you are out
of your frigging mind. We had so much fun. Alex
and I had so much fun putting on that show on.
He was nervous. He didn't want to do it. He
was like, can you just do it by yourself? Can
we just cancel it? Tell him we're sick. No, what
are you nervous about? It's Instagram Live, so Ganda, you
need to go back and watch the whole thing. It
really is okay, almost worth your time. Well, I really

(23:32):
need to know how it is that you play the
piano with no hands. That part was fascinating. Yeah, I
have hands. What did you you know? What did you
use instead of your hands? My penis? Is that what
you're Yes, I can hit three keys with my penis
and my scrotum. Yeah, so straight Nate, did you watch

(23:53):
the whole thing? I did? I did. And you know
when you have a weird dream and you're trying to
explain it to someone and of it makes sense, That's
exactly what happened while I was watching this thing and
then out wearing a blank and it was seriously like
somebody was making this up in my head while I
was asleep. We had so much fun putting that on.

(24:14):
I'm not saying it was it had any value whatsoever
in the entertainment field, but you know, we had fun.
We had fun put on the show in the living room,
you know, and we had some guests, so up, yeah, yeah,
it was fun. So if if I think it's on
for twenty four hours on Instagram live right on Instagram,
so yeah, go to watch my story and it's there

(24:35):
till six thirty pm East Coast time tonight. I think
it's kind of fun. Everyone should do that. I mean,
we stole the idea from from Danielle. She and Sheldon.
They have shows on like every five minutes. Do you
know what he's doing tonight? He's actually giving an art class.
I don't know what it's about, but all I know
is at seven pm tonight we're doing an art class,
so I'm going fun part of it. Yeah, I'm going

(24:56):
to be part of the art class. But I don't know.
You know, he does it on his Facebook, so you
know it's different. So we don't haven't done Instagram Live yet,
but we're getting there. Do it, do it? Yes? I
launched a mini series called Quarantine Cooking with Scary and
uh it was. It didn't go It didn't went okay
the first time. The problem is, I'm a one man
band and I have a selfie stick and only one

(25:18):
hand to cook with, so the only thing I could
do was make a sandwich. So it was Sandwich Edition
Quarantine Cooking. Think about that stick. Yeah, you could stir
with it. You know what, Scary, You need to order
a ring light because the ring lights come with a
little holder so that it'll hold your phone for Yeah,
good idea. I know that's why they're selling out because

(25:40):
everyone's putting on a show. Yeah. Anyway, we had a
lot of fun putting that on last night, and thank
you to our special guests that showed up. One was
a dog and the other one's an old man. All right,
let's let's get into the Danielle Report. Oh Danielle, Yes,
what's going on? This is so exciting. So we've been
talking about the All In Challenge, Well, the cast of Friends.

(26:04):
We have been waiting for them to get together for
that HBO Max reunion taping, but because of everything going
on with COVID nineteen, we've been waiting. Wow, they are
giving away for six people coffee with the entire cast
on the set of Central Perk. If you go to
the All In Challenge and you bid and you win.
How cool is this and you get to go to

(26:27):
the reunion taping. If you are a Friends fan, this
is ridiculous. This is something that you cannot get anywhere,
So you definitely want to go and bid on that. Now,
if you are an Office fan, this is cool. You
got to go to Omayze dot com. It's oma Ze
dot com. The cast of the Office, not everybody, Oscar, Creed, Meredith,

(26:48):
and jan They have launched a coronavirus fundraising campaign. They're
going to enter you for a chance to win a
virtual date with them, just kind of sitting down with
them and chat. But they're going to give you behind
the scenes secrets, stuff that nobody else knows. So that's

(27:32):
and then some nude picture of him came up, well,
almost nude picture of him came up, and basically it
was a gofund me campaign supporting hospital workers in Brooklyn,
New York. He raised over two hundred thousand dollars. He
really wanted to raise a million dollars. He didn't, but
he did raise a lot of money. And then he
took down the photo and he has a video of
a sunset up there now and it said sex sells

(27:54):

And that's my entertainment report. I love you Daniel again.
I want to thank you guys for talking me in
to signing up for Disney Plus, because without you I
would not have I would not have signed up for it.

(30:07):
I love having it. What are you watching? Nothing? That's no,
I haven't and that's all I've don't. I may watch
Old Yeller tonight. I don't know, I can't, I know,
don't tell me. Hey, uh So people are texting in

(30:27):
about last night's show, Um at the piano with Elvis
and Alex whatever it's called. Someone said, I can't believe
Alex is nervous about his performance, but he's not nervous
about showing his ding dong on the internet when he's
doing his Cam four dances. So yeah, he's he's just
he's more natural when he's natural. Right, he's used to that,
he's been doing it longer. It's true. Hey, um, are

(30:50):
we going to do this or not? Straight Nate, you're
confusing me. You go ahead, do it? Do it? Okay?
So straight Nate says we should do the quarantine made
me do it, and I said, okay, okay, let's do
it scary give me the theme song. And then then
on our text messages, Nate says, no, wait, so wait,
what should we do it or not? Why do you?
You said do it? Then you're now you're saying, wait,

(31:11):
I don't understand. Well no, as far as the jingle goes,
I know it didn't get a glowing review last time.
So let me hear it. You hear a short version,
So here's the short let me hear the Let play
the regular version hear the regular I forgot what hold
on here? God? Is it bad? It's just long? So
I'm like, here's a solution. I got a short one
for you. Let me play the long one I want

(31:32):
to hear. Okay, long it. Here's the long one. We have.
We have all quarantine. I can do what I want
to do. Drink till a stupid quarantine. Maybe do what
they do it. I just slept with your mama. Ain't
was wrong. I knew it. Quarantine maybe too, gonna be
out my wind? Don't right you? Quarantine maybe too. I

(31:53):
can meet like a mandim until quarantine. Okay, it is
a little long, So we have this one. Here's short.
You want to play a short one. Where's Brody's Brody
on the phone? Of course, Hey Brody. I think I
love the jingle for the quarantine made me do it.
It's a little long. I mean I love how you
actually rhymed p on a buick. The quarantine made me

(32:13):
do it. Thank you, thank you very much. Well, listen,
I when I write a jingle that's a little long,
that's four verses. I also did one which just the
first two verses. So when you said that's too long,
scary would have an answer to that and play a
shorter version. I did, right, perfect, all right, Well, so
we're gonna play those short one now as we do.

(32:34):
Quarantine made me do it. But what I did was
I moved the buick line up. So that's in the
short version because I love it, because I mean, that's
that's that's poetry in motion right there. All right, thank you, Brodie.
Hold on, what's welcome? And now here's the short version.
As we get into the quarantine, maybe do it what
I wanted to drink till a stupid quarantine. Maybe doing

(32:55):
out my wind right on your quarantine maybe too, that's great, okay,
to be out my window on your buick. It didn't
so stupid, clearest, all right. So the question is what
did the quarantine make Do you make you do? Did

(33:17):
you give yourself a mohawk? Have you've been doing self
surgery because you don't want to go to the doctor's office?
The quarantine made you do it. We want to hear
from you now, if you if you if you go
against the rules and you're hanging out with people and
you should be hanging out with people because of restrictions
and stuff. I don't want to hear those stories because

(33:37):
we get yelled at when we play those back. So
what in your window on your neighbor's buick? We definitely
want to hear about this story if your neighbor. Even
if your neighbor has a buick, we want to hear
from you because we're gonna pay you money to go
pee on it. So the quarantine made you do it?
Called us now one eight hundred two two zero one hundred,
best yet a text Nate at fifty five one hundred.

(33:58):
As we come back with the quarantine, MA me do
it also, we'll go around the room. Coming up. We've
got lots of stuff and a big announcement coming up
in about one hour, so hang out. We'll be back
right after this in the morning show. With kids going

We have a special event going on this weekend. We'll
get into that in a little bit. Also, you got
a phone tap on the wave you guys ready for
some quarantine made me do it? Yes, I wanted to
stupid quarancy. Maybe do what? Maybe do it out my

(35:03):
window right on your two Yes, p out my window
right on your buick. The quarantine made me do it.
That is some quality jingle right there, jingle ship. Uh,
let's go to line. Uh, where are we going on one? Ashley?
All right, let's see what the quarantine's making everyone do. Ashley,
Welcome to the show. How are you today? We're doing

(35:28):
very well? Are we doing okay? Guys? Yes, yeah, yeah,
we're doing well. So you wouldn't usually do it, but
you did it because of the quarantine. What did the
quarantine make you do? Ashley? I got loppy drunk on
my couch in front of my kids. Oh really over
your kid? Um? My daughter is about to be two.

(35:48):
My stepsons are seven and eleven. Oh no, I mean,
was there anyone else there to make sure they were okay, yeah,
my husband was there. But the wet part of it
all is I, my stepson decided asking it to play minecrap.
I've never played it before, but I rapped their entire
village that they have been like creating for the past,

(36:10):
like six did not. Oh, they'll never let you play again.
Oh yeah, all right, So there you go. You did it.
You finally got slashed in front of the kids. Good
for you. I wanted to thank you guys. During the week,
I work as a healthcare worker and I listened to
you guys every morning on the way to work, and

(36:30):
it just puts a little sun tine on my day.
And I just wanted to thank you guys so much
for everything that you guys are doing for everybody that's
really appreciate it. Oh, Ashley on behalf of the team.
We thank you. Thanks for listening to us. Now go
stay sober today. You give yourself a day off. Definitely,
we'll do it. We'll do okay, all right, byebye Ashley.
Lying six is Greg. The quarantine made him do it.

(36:51):
Let's see what he did. Hey, Greg, welcome to the show. Hey,
Hey guys, how you guys doing. We're doing very well.
What did the quarantine make you do? I pierced my nipple?
All right? Oh wow, well, now what what made you
decide you wanted to do that? Well, I had to
get away from my wife. So I was in the garage,

(37:13):
and in my garage, I have a bunch of tools,
and I was watching YouTube and stuff like that. And
then when you're watching one thing, and one thing leads
another and somehow and so worth I said, yeah, I
could do that. How did you ask you numbed it?
How did you numb your nipple? I used some ice

(37:34):
and some light of king thought this true? Okay, all right?
Did you use like a drill? What did you use
in the garage? Oh? I had I had a sewing
needle and I had a pair of needlenos pliers. Wow,
I have another question. What happens if it gets infected?

(37:56):
Did you think about that part? Yes? I did. I
found ties the first and then I mean, you know,
it's only a nipple. So yeah, Gandhi had a question
for Greg and his Yeah, how he was taking care
of it. Okay, I'm glad you guys are looking up

(38:18):
for Greg's well being. All right, well, thank you, Greg?
Are you now really are you happy? Are you? Do
you feel different now living your life with a pierce nipple? Uh?
Kind of, I guess. I mean, okay, I'm cold, that's right.
Always got a little nipple hard on. All right, well,

(38:40):
thanks for listening. See what the quarantine's making us do
stuff like that? All right? Thank you? Greg? Uh? Is
Chad some one line twenty three? Yes there, Okay, let's
go talk to Chad. Hey, Chad, welcome to the show.
How's it going? Oh my god, Hi guys, thank you
so much. How are you? We're fun? You're up early

(39:01):
and sounding very chipper. What what what did the quarantine
make you do? That's so crazy? Oh? Honey? Um, I
live with four other gay men and girl, let me
tell you we all looked up. Wait, so you guys
are all in quarantine together already, so you're safely together. Yeah,
we were all together. We've been together for years. Um.

(39:23):
I'm a vettech so like I'm essential. So but yeah,
one night I was showering and the two that our
boyfriends were going at it, and I happen to see
them going at it and they invited me in. Next
thing I knew the other two were now the quarantine
made you do it. See that's gonna be weird. And
I'll tell you a way because now you're still living
with each other. So did it make it uncomfortable the

(39:45):
next day? Or it is everything? Okay? Oh no, no, no,
we are not uncomfortable. Everything is just a full blown orgy.
We're having so much fun. Right, Just stay safe, you know,
keep in mind, Germany, there are many different viruses creeping
and crawley. Let's stay away from all of them. All right,

(40:06):
Thank you, Chad, Thank you very much. Chad just gave
us like the premise for a gay port right here
on our shoe fun house, the fun house. Let's go
talk to Jason on line twenty four. The quarantine made
him do it. Let's go see what he's up to. Hey, Jason,
welcome to our show. What's going on? Hey? I'm doing good? Um?

(40:30):
What'd you do? Well? I had a friend, female friend
and uh, you know, being a quarantine stock cash after
some money convincer. We're pretty good friends. But she faced
towne me while dancing naked so I could release some titching.
Oh whoa, whoa, So wait there were cash involved. There

(40:53):
was a cash did you venmo her immediately? Um? Yeah, okay, okay,
how much does that cost? By the way, because just
asking for a friend? Oh, I mean you paid one
hundred for her? I mean she was a friend. I
paid a little more than that's okay, not bad, all right,

(41:14):
there you go, one hundred bucks. The quarantine made it
so if there was no quarantine, this definitely would not
have happened, right, no, no, no, okay, gotcha? All right, Well,
thank you very much for your call, Jason. Have a
good day. And uh yeah, see, the quarantine's doing it
for all of us. We're doing these strange things we
would never dream of doing. Dancing news for your friend,

(41:36):
you know, for one hundred bucks? Okay, why not would
you do that, Danielle? No, I can just imagine. Hey, honey,
the quarantine made me go and dance naked for Froggy
for a hundred bucks. No problem, honey, you go do that.
He would want you to have one hundred dollars, maybe
to pay for some of the other things that you
bought online earlier in the day. Oh you think so,

(41:58):
I don't know. Yeah, it scary. It's a great idea
for side hustle. I'll cash up all of you and
I'll dance naked for you. How about that You're gonna
pay us and you're gonna dance. Yeah? Why not? So
you're gonna pay us and you're gonna dance naked? Yeah?
Why not? Wait? Hell, you're going to venmo me money
and I'm going to watch you dance nude? Yeah? I

(42:19):
mean if you give the money to charity, if it
goes to a good cause. Yes, how about how about
I give money to charity for you not to dance
nuke exactly. I'll give you one hundred dollars right now.
I'm gonna pay you one hundred dollars right now if
you keep your clothing on, keep on keeping it on.

(42:43):
You see, brilliant, It's brilliant. All right, to quarantine made
you do it? Well, we'll revisit that sometimes soon. Let's
get into the three things you need to know. A
lot of serious stuff going on today, gandhi, you're up.
What's going on? Well? As states move ahead with plans
to reopen the economies, the director of the CDC is
warning that a second wave of the coronavirus will be

(43:05):
far more devastating because it's likely to coincide with the
start of the flu season. Experts say that the two
simultaneous respiratory outbreaks would put unimaginable strain on the healthcare
system and the frontline workers. So stay at home orders
are getting lifted, but we need to keep in mind
and stress the importance of social distancing. Other countries who
have lessened restrictions are now seeing an increase in infection

(43:28):
rates as well. McDonald. They are right there. They're showing
places in China where people are getting together in large groups,
and they're saying, this is a very, very bad idea
right now because the infection rate is spreading. McDonald's doing
something really cool starting today and serving first responders and
healthcare workers for free. Frontline workers who have a badge

(43:49):
or are in uniform can get a free meal during breakfast, lunch,
or dinner. They can also choose from any size soft drink, tea,
or hot coffee. This offer goes through May fifth at
participating restaurants if there's one near you. Check it out
if you're a first responder. And finally, today is Earth Day.
It's the annual worldwide event to raise awareness about protecting
the environment, and it's the fiftieth anniversary. Earth Day began

(44:12):
in nineteen seventy and has spread around the world since.
So if there's something nice you can do for our planet,
today is a day to do it. And those are
your three things. Seems like quarantining is doing a great job.
From other Earth. I was talking to Froggy about that earlier,
as we were talking earlier about me talking to Froggy
earlier and my being redundant. I don't know, and h Yeah,
it's like, look a look at what we've seen happen

(44:34):
to Earth in just thirty days. It is my favorite thing.
That's the best thing that's coming out of all of
this is just the rejuvenation of life. The Manta raise
down in South Florida. It's so pretty. It is it's
almost like Earth is cleansing itself in just thirty days.
Look what we've been able to accomplish in sixty days
or ninety days. Yeah, we are the problem. And look

(44:54):
at all the animals in the in the national parks
that are coming out and hanging out and they're living
their lives, and we're seeing we're seeing the bottoms of
streams that we never saw before. The in the it's
just incredible. You can't bring up another point you're talking
about um, you know, spending more time in quarantine versus
some people who think it's time to get out and
just get rolling with each other again. I think that

(45:17):
we live in such a short attention span world where
you know, we're now a month or more in and
we're you know, people are getting antsy. And because we
noticed the other day when we had to go to
the grocery store, we're seeing a lot more traffic, a
lot more people than we did maybe a week or
two ago, and it made us a little nervous. But hey,
you know, you know, we used to live in a

(45:38):
world where if you wanted to go to Europe, you
would have to get on a ship and it would
take you over a week to get there, Or if
you wanted to travel anywhere, people just knew that if
you're going to travel, it's going to take all this time.
But now we've got jet planes that get us there
in an hour and a half or two hours. We
used to live in a world where people would would

(45:59):
leave their families for an entire season to go see
other family members across the country whatever. Now, the thought
of spending that much time away from each other or
doing anything for more than a week, or vacation more
than a week. Can't do it, you know, because we
live in this this short attention span world. So look
at it this way. Let's say you live eighty ninety years.

(46:20):
I'll give you eighty years if you can take and
I'm exaggerating the number here. If you can take one
year out of your eighty year lifespan to make sure
you live for eighty years, isn't it worth it? Just
one year of staying in quarantine or staying away from
other people. It's a very small price to pay, and
you're not only helping yourself, you're also helping other people. Yeah,

(46:44):
I mean, I'm hoping and praying this doesn't take a year.
You know, God, none of us want that. We all
want to get back together. I want to sit at
the bar at Walkers. You also don't want to do
it so soon that you start it all over again
and then we back to basics, you know, back to
stage one. I mean, you don't want that. And keep
in mind that the report that Gandhi just gave and

(47:04):
the CDC saying that we could have a second wave,
it's going to be awful if it's compared with the
flu whatever these these are, they're making assumptions, you know,
they're looking at their scientific data, and so is that
a one hundred percent accurate story it's going to happen. No,
we don't know. We don't know, that's the thing. But
we do know and we do see what distancing is
doing for us. So if you can just calm down, relax,

(47:29):
make the most of our time away from each other.
This is the investment you're making in your future and
in the future of other people. So I would love
nothing more than to be in the same room with
you guys. You know, I was looking at a picture,
excuse me, from our wedding week in Santa Fe. There
was a picture of Danielle and Gandhi and me holding

(47:53):
each other up on the roof of my house. You
remember that. Yeah, God, this seems like it was fifteen
years ago. And being able to hold a friend like that,
And do you do that with movies now? When TV
shows like I'll be watching something with the kids and
I'll see all these people like hugging or touching hands
or high fiving, and I'll go, oh my gosh, it
seems so foreign. It seems like that was so like

(48:16):
long ago when we could do that. So I watched
that Prince Show last night, the Grammy Prince Tribute last night,
that was on CBS, and they had filmed that in
California in January, and they showed some old clips of
Usher performing at the Grammys doing a Prince tribute, and
once again, everybody's standing up and hugging and so many
people on stage, and I was just like, wow, that
seems so foreign. Now you knew that this had to

(48:37):
be filmed before. It couldn't be live because we were
not doing that. Now it's like it all changed overnight.
All right, Look, we have a phone tap on the way.
We've got stuff to do. I've got a big announcement
coming up in forty minutes. We have a really great,
great thing we're pulling off. We're going to try to
pull off this weekend. We'll tell you all about our
plans coming up. We'll be back right after this. Oh
my goodness, I can't believe we were talking to you. Well,

(48:59):
it's an order to have you here. This is Elvis
Durand in the Morning Show Elvis Elvis Durand, the Elvis
Durand Phone Tap. Today, our Garrett Donna sends us an email.
Dear Elvis, my fiance Joe, I want to phone tap him.
Let's call him at work and let him know. The
neighbors cut down a big pine tree and it fell
in our house. All right, Donna. Donna starts the call

(49:22):
to let her fiance Joe know what happened to the house,
and then Garrett takes over the call and blames Joe
for the falling tree. Let's listen in to today's phone
Tiphow Joe, Dear what um? You know that tree next
door Bonnie's tree. Yeah, they cied down and fell on
the house. You have to get the name of the

(49:44):

can cut you a deal and get your house redone too,

(50:51):

we can get out of here. I'm just letting you
know how this procedure happens. It happens down, I'm gonna

(51:12):
let you know how this is gonna happen. Okay, you're
gonna give me a phone number, giving your name of
your company, and you better have a lot of insurance. Okay,
your wife took down that information. I'm just letting you
know how this procedure goes because your wife's a little
upset right now. Yes, we'll clean it up and we

(52:39):
I'm coming on right now. Okay, he wants to talk
to you. I'm coming home, right guys, get it out
of here before we get home. Get the vacuum, no,
the vl I gotta clean it up. I's to rockers.
I'm up hurting. Okay, this lumberjack get away from my house.
Just blocks trucking. Please, I'm trying to blower on. He's

(53:03):
trying to clean up. Your wife. Just gave me the phone, sir,
what's wrong this time? Listen to stay there? Just no, no, no,
no no no. I want to see you, okay, because
I'm gonna hang you up up tree. Okay, the tree's
knocked over. You can't hang me from a tree. Hang you, okay,
stay there. You shouldn't be cutting down trees. I cut

(53:25):
down trees for a living. Well. You better get a
new occupation because you're an idiot. Okay. People are allowed
to make mistakes. I'm gonna kick your ass. Listen. Between
me and you, we can have some type of payment deal.
I don't want to talk to you. Listen, please talk
to me. He lord, I don't want to talk to you.
You sound like a moron. I'm trying to get this

(53:46):
done and you're not letting me. You're a moron. This

(54:07):
Thank you. This phone tap was pre recorded permission granted
by all parties. Durand phone taps Durand in the Morning Show.
Well there you have it, another phone tap. You know what,
we're not doing fresh phone taps. We're we're picking and
choosing out of the phone tap vault upstairs in the attic.

(54:31):
So I don't when was that from? What year was
that that one was from? That was one of Garrick's
first phone taps from two thousand and three. That we're
playing phone tap from nineteen seventy five. That's how desperate
were We got three thousand in the vault, so we
got that's crazy. It's crazy anyway, Uh, big announcement on

(54:53):
the way also Danielle. Danielle's report is coming up. Let's
go around the room real quick. I want to check
in with We'll start with Gandhi, Gandhi, what's in your
mind today? Well, I think we have finally figured out
what's going to make my boyfriend and I kill each
other during this quarantine. And it's the sleeping situation. He
is a blanket and a pillow hoarder. Girls always get
the bad rap for doing that. He does both. I

(55:14):
actually took a picture this morning. I got out of
bed to come do the show today and he had
every single pillow. We have like eight pillows, every single pillow.
He was wrapped up like a burrito in the blanket.
I'm not taking this. This is gonna kill usum So
what do you do? Did you do? You like pull
it out from under him? Do you fight in the
middle of your sleep time? No? I just freeze apparently,

(55:36):
And then I woke up and realized I was so cold,
saw what was going on, took a picture. I will
address this later or I'm gonna get my own blanket.
Yeah see, Oh yeah, we are a private blanket. Do
you guys are spending like some serious time with each other?
Now you're seeing the real picture. What's up with you today? Scary?
You know, under normal circumstances, if you want to give

(55:58):
someone an unexpected gift, it's we call it like a
surprising delight. It's like, hey, look at this. This was
totally out of left field. Oh my god. We can't
do that now, So how about doing something called the
dropping go where? And I'm gonna do this to my
girlfriend and maybe in a couple of days, but she's
adorn thing. The drop and go is you buy someone gift,
do you leave it on your doorstep and give and

(56:19):
then you call him up or text him and say hey,
look outside because you can't. It's a social distancing version
of the surprising delight. I call it the dropping go.
I love the dropping go. You like the dropping You should?
Everyone should do a driving and go to a loved
one today. All right, someone drive all the way out
here to the farm and dropping go, which is thank you. Okay,
let's get into the Daniel Report as we do. We

(56:40):
do have a big announcement coming up at eight o'clock
East Coast time, that is, in twenty three minutes. People
online are trying to figure out what the big announcement
is let's see scary Jones says am I being fired
live on the air at eight am Eastern. Here's is
Gandhi moving away from the show now that she's in Detroit. No,
she's in quarantine. Is Elvis Duran retiring? No? Sorry, no

(57:03):
bad news, I'm here. No our Alex and Elvis adopting
a child? No? Is Danielle leaving? No? No? What else?
What else are they guessing on here? The big announcements? Gary?
What do you what do you remember? Only you think
that Nate's girlfriend Heather is expecting others got to look

(57:26):
through this. But most of the people posting you're saying,
why do you do this? Why are you driving us crazy?
You're driving us nuts. Please don't make any big changes
to the show. It's not a big sha. No, we're
doing a special event this weekend involving musicians and video.
Every announcement have to be doom in gloom because every

(57:47):
announcement that we've said big announcement winds up being something
like that. So when we say big announcement, so maybe
we shouldn't say anything. We should just announce something. You
know what, You're right, we're doing. We're doing a special
concert with us of our favorite artists this weekend. That's
what we're doing. Okay, there, I blew it. But people
are freaking out, people are panicking. No one's leaves not anywhere, sister, Well,

(58:12):
I wish you know. We're trying to adopt a dog.
But that's not the big announcement, right all right, so
uh Danielle, yes, all right, it's your turn, go ahead,
all right. The all In Challenge just keeps getting bigger
and bigger, over fifteen million dollars raised already. And the
new thing is that Friends, we know that they're getting

(58:34):
together for this reunion show on HBO Max. Well, if
you win, you would be one of six people because
you win, five friends get to have coffee with the
cast of Friends on the Central Park set while they're
doing the reunion taping. How awesome is that? So that's
definitely worth bidding on. And like I said, ten bucks
get you in, So that's all it takes. Netflix has

(58:58):
added sixteen million new subscribers because everybody is home and
watching television, so they're making they're making bank over there.
So Queen Elizabeth celebrated, I know, and that crazy Queen
Elizabeth Queen Elizabeth celebrated her ninety fourth birthday yesterday. I
found out a couple of interesting things about her. One,
she never repeats outfits. If she does, they tweak it.

(59:22):
They'll tweak it, like if she wears the same skirt
or the same shirt, they tweak it a little bit
so it looks a little bit different. She also does
not break in her own shoes. You know when you
wear a new pair of shoes and you get blisters. Well,
she has a long time dressmaker who is the same
size as her, and that lady she is the one

(59:43):
that breaks in her shoes so that the Queen doesn't
get any blisters. I thought Prince Philip would break in her.
I don't think they're the same size Elizabeth Elizabeth's shoes
already there there is a Hunger Game is prequel in
the works that is pretty cool. Venom sequel Venom, Let

(01:00:05):
there Be Carnage is going to be pushed till twenty
twenty one. Of course, the south By Southwest Film Festival
will stream their films on Amazon April twenty seventh till
May six, so you may want to watch that Scoob.
The Scooby Doo movie is going straight to video or
on demand, so we're gonna be able to rent that
in our houses for like twenty bucks. That's coming out

(01:00:27):
in May, and we were all looking so forward to this.
Lynn Manuel Miranda in the Heights you know, was on Broadway.
Now it's becoming a movie. Our boy Anthony Ramos, he
is the lead in. It was supposed to be coming
out this summer. We couldn't wait. It's being pushed to
June of twenty twenty one because of everything going on.
They said the post production, they couldn't get it all done,

(01:00:47):
so we're gonna have to wait another gear for it.
I can't I'm so excited about this movie, but we're
gonna have to wait. It's gonna be It's gonna be
worth the way, so that'll be here Las Vegas. The
twenty twenty Life Is Beautiful Festival from September eighteen to
the twentieth has been called off for this year. That
will not be happening until twenty twenty one. And guys,
Aaron Carter says that his girlfriend is pregnant. Tonight, Oh

(01:01:11):
Survivor Yes, The mess Singer People presents h Harry and
Meghan a royal Rebellion. I know that's where Elvis will be,
and there's a lot of stuff because it is of
course it is um it is Earth Day today, so
there's a lot of stuff on Disney. Plus I know
H two O the Molecule that made us over on PBS.

(01:01:32):
That's on tonight. And also b Et has a really
cool COVID nineteen concert tonight with a lot of huge artists,
so you may want to watch that as well. And
that's my entertainment report. Wow, there's still guessing. We just
told you what the announcement is coming up, and people
are still is Daniel pregnant again? A lot? Are you
out of your minds? The horder she'll giving away a

(01:01:54):
million dollars? No, who has a million dollars right now? Seriously,
no one has a million dollars. We have an announcement
coming up about a concert for you with our some
of our favorite artists. We're announcing that in twenty two minutes. There,
that's what it's all. It is. Someone sent a text
saying they can't find at the piano with Elvis and

(01:02:16):
Alex up on my Instagram. It's there, it's right there.
Go watch it please because it really is entertaining. You
have to click on the circle. You have to click
on the circle like the story, and then look at
the live story from yesterday. You have an here you go.
Thank you a picture? Yeah, yeah, thanks for tuning in.
It's worth I think it's only like fifteen minutes long,
but it's the best fifteen minutes you'll ever spend. All right,

(01:02:38):
let's take a break and we'll be back after this.
I hope. I love musicals. Hiring is challenging, but there's
one place you can go where hiring is actually simple
and smart. That place is zip recruiter, where growing businesses
connect to qualified candidates. Try it for free at zip

(01:02:59):
f recruiter dotm slash. Elvis zip frecruider the smartest way
to hire. He's the host of the most listen to,
top forty show in America. Let's make Love. What are you?
I'm the pianist that is the single most annoying sound

(01:03:20):
on the plane. We are imbeciles, children, Elvis Duran in
the Morning Shows in the Morning Show, Hi, I'm sorry,
I'm do you find ten things and none of them are?
None of them? I'm accomplishing anything with it. I gotta
be honest, welcome to the Are you with a taco shell?

(01:03:41):
That sounds like an accomplishment to me? Okay, so yesterday
was Taco Tuesday from our big show. Last night, I
made tacos m so I went upstairs and all we
have left is rice and taco shells. So I'm eating
an empty taco shell in nice. But what's wrong with

(01:04:01):
eating an empty taco shell? It's just I mean, it's
a corn ship that's folded nothing. Oh my gosh, taco
shells if I have, if I have like guacamole in
the house, I will take taco shells and break them
up and dip them in the guacamole. I love it
so good. Oh, come on, gandhi, what's wrong with eating
a taco shells? It? Does it look so fine? No,

(01:04:22):
it looks so happy. I was like, you know what,
that's inspiration. I'm gonna go see how I can either
make tacos or order tacos lunch today. Thank you. I
think I'm going through some sort of change. I'm I'm
having hot flashes. Daniel, what was it like when you
went through that? I'll shut the hell out. I'm still
going through it. You'd be quiet Hey, Scotti be come

(01:04:43):
into the microphone because I can't read this article you
sent me. But I think it's very relatable to us,
especially um, this article you sent me. Scotty. Here he
is you can you hear me? Uh? It's headlined uh.
Survey surveys it's happy hour on company time for America's

(01:05:03):
remote workers. Yes, is that us? Yeah, it says One
survey released Monday found forty two percent of nearly thirteen
thousand workers are drinking on the clock at home while
they're working. Yeah. I bet so. Yeah, I know, I know.
I know for a fact yesterday four twenty, that was yesterday, right,

(01:05:24):
people were too days getting up and days ago they
were rolling and rolling them up and smoking them at
home in the morning. So I wonder if productivity is
up or down. I wonder if if this big national
experiment of working at home is working? Is it? No?
I wonder the same thing. Are we more productive or
less productive? Because there are times I feel like we're

(01:05:45):
more productive being at home now because we're going longer, well,
the show's going for a longer amount of time. It
just feels more intense when we're all kind of sitting
by ourselves alone, versus when we're all in a room together.
I feel like when we're all together it flies by,
but when we're all sufferate, it just seems like a
longer day. Also the other hour, but still it seems longer, true, Bill,

(01:06:07):
don't you guys feel like even though we're working at home,
there's more to do or something. Some days, Oh yeah,
some days it's too much to think about, and some
days it's nothing. You know, it's kind of weird, But
I think it's so more emotional right now. It's a
lot of emotional stuff going on as well, and you
don't take you know, it's not just a physical thing

(01:06:27):
that you're doing, so you got to take that. You
have to look at that as well. You know, what,
do you think, Froggy Like, I feel like the day
just wastes away, like we don't have anything to do.
Like in the beginning of the quarantine, I was bored.
I would sit around and time was not passing. But now,
before you know what, the day's over. I can't really
recount what I've done for the whole day, but I
know that I did stuff all day long, and now

(01:06:48):
it's time to go to bed and do it all
over again tomorrow. Yeah, it's it's just weird. I can't
really put my finger on what it is we're doing.
I love this text message people drinking while working you
try to teach sour. Yeah, I go, I felt productive today,
She goes, what did you do? I don't know, but

(01:07:09):
I felt proud. I don't know. I feel like you
need a purpose in the morning, and the purpose of
getting getting this routine, going with an alarm clock and
then jumping in the shower and getting dressed and going
someplace to you know, having the ends to your means
or whatever, and then doing your job and then going home.

(01:07:30):
I do think that more gets done because there's so
many more, you know, distractions while you're in your house,
like your refrigerator, like if you have kids, like yeah,
my dog, you do get less done at home. I
do think more is more productivity when you actually physically
report to a space. That's just Brandy, are you getting
anything done at all other than you You're you're I mean,
you're doing a great job on the show. I mean

(01:07:50):
you're contributing here. But after the show's off, are you
working anything with her boyfriend? Yes, that's happening. No, I
mean we have our art projects and we're cooking, and
aside from that, nothing And that's one of the things
that stressing me out is because I want to keep
in contact with everyone, but I have nothing to talk about.
There's nothing new going on. So every time my mom
will be like, oh, would you do today? Nothing, Mom,

(01:08:12):
same thing as yesterday. I've done nothing right, right, See,
Danielle's got kids. I mean, you've got a lot that
you have to get done every day. God bless you. Yeah,
you know what, I haven't done any of the stuff
that everybody's been like, Oh, I organize this, and I
organize that. I'm like, now I have and I've cooked,
and I've done this, and I'm trying to keep up
at the house. And I have to say, I think
my little guy's teachers, some of them are enjoying him

(01:08:35):
being online more than him being in the classroom, because
I think I think they love him even more now
because he's not upsetting the class like by being the
class clown, because online it's harder to do that, and
my little guy's the class clown. So I haven't been
getting the emails as much. So that's good. There you go.
So there's good and there's bad. I mean, yeah, yeah,

(01:08:57):
there's an experiment. We're all learning from it, you know,
and we're gonna come out of all of this that's
going on with a new perspective and a whole new
way of living our lives. And I'm hoping that we
hold on to the good things, because there are a
lot of great things happening during such a frightening time.
All Right, it is eight oh one East Coast time.
I'm one minute late. We're always running late, straight and eight.
I don't know this. We're supposed to make an announcement

(01:09:18):
a minute ago. What happened? Give me one minute grace?
Come on, one minute grace period. You're fine. I can
put it off another fifteen minutes if you want. No,
that one worked for me, Elvis, but scared? You have
any music? Do you have something? I have a timpany?
I don't want a tempany? What year is this? Play
the tempany? A drum roll? Play drum roll? Here we go,

(01:09:39):
drum roll? No, very important on. I'm slipt. You'll turn
that off, timpany, don't They also would call that the
kettle drum? Am I am? I mistaken with that? I
don't know. Yeah, Oh, yes, thank you there, Straighten straight eight.
Who are you talking to? Ah? They didn't answer. You're
calling someone, Yeah, they didn't answer. I try to get

(01:10:00):
hearing what you said. Hello, I'm hearing me. Come back
in a speaker or something. Do you have a speaker on?
Stop it? Sorry? All right, it's time for the big announcement.
Scary do you have a bad or something? You can
play anything? Some fanfare? I know, want god. Look, it's
a fun announcement. It's not quite that majestic. Here we go.

(01:10:28):
It is now time to announce the Elvis Stay at
Home Ball. That's right. You've heard of the Jingle Ball.
Now we're having the Stay at Home Ball. Stay home
and enjoy our show. This is a lot of fun.
Thank you to Stephen Levine and Straighten It and everyone
who worked so hard to put this together. Some of

(01:10:50):
our favorite artists, some of them new to the scene,
some of them have been around for a while. They're
all going to join us at the Elvis durand Stay
at Home Ball this Friday night. Bring it on. See,
no one's getting fired, so I have Okay, we have
all these these artists in alphabetical order, because it's it's

(01:11:12):
just easier to do it this way. Some of them
brand into the scene, like Alec Benjamin, our buddy Alesia
Kara is gonna be on with us singing performing Ali Brook.
Anthony Ramos is performing for us. Our friend Austin Mahone,
Bryce Vine. You guys love Bryce Vine, love them. Also
a little guy from Jersey, Charlie Pooth is performing at

(01:11:33):
our Stay at Home Ball. Diana Jane remember her fifth Harmony.
She's out there doing our solo career. It's beautiful. Our
friends who've been on the show several times, Echo Smith
doing a song for us. Also Grace and Chant and
Hunter Hayes, Jake Miller, Jason Darulo is doing a song
Please tell us, share it off. Please take your shirt
I Betty does, Yeah, take it all off. Joel is

(01:11:58):
doing a song for us at the Stay at Home Ball.
Joe Joe. This song from Julia Michaels and Jp Sachs
we played the other day, got huge, huge response. They're
gonna be on. Kesha is performing at our Stay at
Home Ball. Yes, Lewis Capaldi is performing or As Friday Night. Also,
our friend Max Megan Trainer is performing for us. Sophia

(01:12:20):
Carson Stephen Jenkins from Third Eye Wine, Thomas Rhett Fraudy
you know you love y'all love Thomas Rhett, Oh boy t.
Rhett also trained is performing in special appearances by bb rexa,
Pete wentz Ajr and Hailey Steinfeld. It's the Elvis Durand
Stay at Home Ball this Friday night at eight o'clock

(01:12:41):
East Coast time, and you can watch it on the
Elvis Durant Show YouTube channel. That's Friday night and we're
all hosting. This is like a festival. It is. And
there's your announcement. Say, no one's getting fired, nice, no
one's going away. So any thoughts, we'll go to you

(01:13:02):
first Gandhi the Elvis Durand first ever Stay at Home Ball.
Your thoughts please. This ball has a lot of people.
How long is this ball gonna go? It sounds like
it's gonna be a week long show. Big ball. It's
a stretched ball, definitely a giant ball. Okay. In mind,
I think a performances only like one song a person,

(01:13:23):
So it's gonna go by person, didn't you think? Still
and a lot Yeah, we have a lot of other
h a lot of other artists. I didn't even announce
that we're gonna add them to the list, so it
may go on all night. So I hope you guys
have nothing to do Friday night. Yes, Daniel, your thoughts
at the about the Elvis durand stay at Home ball,
please go. I'm I'm very excited. There's some of these

(01:13:44):
artists I haven't seen perform in a while. And some
of these arts like Sophia Carson, I'm a huge fan
and I've never seen a perform a live, so it'll
be really cool to see her take the stage. It'll
be take the couch, whatever's gona. I love about these
these shows as we get to go into the living room,
the living rooms of all of our favorite artists. And

(01:14:06):
of course there is a very very cool, cool component.
It's our friends at Project Cure. Now. Project Cure is
the largest provider of donated medical supplies and equipment to
developing countries around the world. But because of COVID nineteen,
they've done a one eighty and now one hundred percent
of Project Cure is all about us here in the US.

(01:14:27):
The local fight against COVID nineteen. Men and women on
the front lines. Project Cure is here here to help
them They've delivered way over two hundred and something shipments
of medical supplies and equipment and ventilators throughout the US
as a part of their part to help out domestically,
and they have shipped over three million dollars worth of
supplies so far. So we want to tip the hat

(01:14:51):
to Project Cure. We'll be raising money, but more than that,
raising awareness for Project Cure at our stay at Home
ball this Friday night at eight o'clock, I'm gonna wear
a gown. What about you, scary? What are you wearing
to the Sea at Home ball? Well, I was gonna
wear my pajamas. And that was my question if you,
if you were taking questions at this briefing, Uh, what
is appropriate attire for this? Because I went plan on

(01:15:13):
wearing either my Elvis d ranchhow morning scrubs we have
those scrubs or pajamas like flannels or something. We could
make a rule right now. My vote, and I want
us all to vote, is you wear whatever you want
to wear. That's what I'm I may wear my Santa
costume from last night. I mean, I think if you're
staying at home, it should be what you would wear
at home. So I think it should be something comfortable.

(01:15:33):
So if your yoga pants maybe scary your yoga where
are those those uh those sweats that have the word
juicy on the ass? Where are that? God? Anyway to
stay at home ball, We're gonna if you follow us
online on any social Elvis Ran, Elvis Ran Show, whatever,
you'll see the entire lineup. And we've had many many

(01:15:56):
friends called and say they wanted to be a part
of it. So it grew into this eight hour extravaganza.
It starts at eight o'clock. It's not gonna be eight hours.
It starts at eight o'clock Friday night on the Elvis
Durrand Show YouTube channel. So h it's gonna be great.
I mean, we could all wear we could all wear
our Hello Lady paraphernalia. We have lots of that stuff
where that too. And Uncle Johnny will make a guest

(01:16:18):
appearance as well, so we have that going for it again.
Thank you so much to Stephen Levine and Andrew Tony
Mulay and his team Ali Indianna. They're they're going to
be doing a lot of work and heavy lifting. And uh, Andrew,
my assistant actually was the one who came up with
the idea and wanted to tie it in with Project Cure.
So Andrew, thank you so much. They've been working really hard.
So Friday night, eight o'clock watch all of our Elvis

(01:16:40):
drand show socials to find out more. And uh, there
you go, there's our concert for the year. Nice. You
don't have to get on a plane. You can just
sit there on your ass in your own house. We
should call it to sit on your ass ball. Wait, yes,
ass ball as ball. I like that word on your
assall yes, Oh wow, there you go. Let's go around

(01:17:01):
the room and check out of Danielle and Froggy. It's
your turn to tell these's on your mind today. We'll
start with your Froggy, what's going on? You know, yesterday
we talked about this. I'm not doing any more exercise
with my wife. Yesterday we decided we weren't going to
do the walking thing anymore. We were gonna gonna bike ride.
My wife rides the slowest bike in the history of
bike riding. So I just left her. So she calls

(01:17:23):
me on my phone, where did you go? I'm like,
you ride your bike too slow. We can't even exercise together.
Quarantine is really becoming very stressful. We have to find
things to do that we could do together and get along.
So if anybody has any suggestions, please let me. Don't
exercise together, don't do anything no more. That's really quarantine.
Don't even talk to each other. Oh God, ignored. I

(01:17:45):
don't know why anybody rides their bike that's slow. You're
not getting exercise. You might as well wall. We all
move at a different pace. And I really have to think.
I think that you're being kind of rude what you
do just on your bike, just circle around her as
she's moving. Circle. What about you, Daniel? What's on your
mind today? I want to thank my husband because he's

(01:18:05):
been doing something and he didn't tell me. He has
been doing it until yesterday, so he knows that I
was running low on like lysol spray and I was
freaking out and blah blah blah. He's been actually getting
up early and going to places like CBS and standing
on the line, you know, doing the social distancing to
make sure he would get me like one can of lysol.

(01:18:25):
And then he'll come home and he'll like, oh, I
got you this can of lysol, and I'm thinking, oh,
thank you, Honny, you found me one, but I didn't
realize like that he's going out. He'll just leave in
the morning. I'm leaving. I'm gotta go get something, but
he doesn't tell me. So I found out yesterday that
he's been doing this for me. So I had to
get shout out to my husband. He is the best.
I don't give him enough credit. I really need to.

(01:18:45):
I gotta, I gotta give him something because he's been
He's been awesome. So thank you can do it. Live
at our stay at home ball this Friday night. Let's
sayall not balls, so we're not like that. It's gonna do.
Three things we need to know from Gandhi once again,
we just announced the Elvis Trands Stay at Home Ball.

(01:19:06):
If you check out Elvis Durand Show on your socials,
the entire thing is right there. I love the text
that came in. Oh damn it, son of a bitch.
I was just hoping someone was getting fired Baybe tomorrow.
I don't know. That's very nice. Oh look at me,
out of my misery all right? Into the three things

(01:19:27):
we need to know from Gandhi. Gandhi, what's going on?
All right? A small business coronavirus relief bill has been
passed by the Senate. It was approved by senators in
a voice vote on Tuesday, and now it goes to
the House. It will pump over three hundred billion dollars
into a popular small business loan fund. A lot of
people are still upset that some struggling, small and minority
owned businesses missed out on the program because the funds

(01:19:49):
went to big restaurant in hotel chains. Today is the
deadline for some Americans if they want to get their
five hundred dollars per child in coronavirus stimulus money. Those
include people receiving Social Security and Supplemental Security income and
those who might not have to file a tax return.
The IRS needs dependent information through the website by today
at noon Eastern time. Good luck with that, and a

(01:20:13):
lot of controversy coming out of New England and headed
to Tampa Bay. We already know Tom Brady left, I
know Froggy is loving this so much. Rob Bronkowski is
gone to one to Tampa Bay. Yeah, Gronk is on
his way. He took a year off to pursue some
things with the WWE, and now he wants to come
back and play football. So because he passed his physical.

(01:20:33):
He is now going to be part of the Buccaneers.
And of course New England is ticked off about this,
but Tom Brady and Brady fans and Froggy are thrilled
all over every sport, every sports pannel yesterday with all
Tampa is the perfect city for Gronk then is so is? Yeah?
He is Tampa the Hey, Froggy, So you're talking about

(01:20:58):
how slow your wife Lisa rides your bike. The text
message is Froggy. Is she writing it? Carol Baskin slow? Yes? Yes, Hey, listen,
I just want to give you a little behind the scenes,
behind the scenes insight here during the phone tap earlier,

(01:21:19):
I got a message from Nate saying there's someone on
the phone I think you guys should listen to. And Uh,
I said okay. He said, why don't you record it
because he has to go to work. Um, I said okay,
And which is very rare. He never does that. You
never tell me to record a call, right, I mean no,

(01:21:41):
But this one just felt different. It felt different, so
we did it. We during the phone tap, we had
a conversation with Bill. Uh. He's someone you need to
meet And I'm telling you now this is This is
kind of a rough call to get through, but it's
the most important call I've ever taken in my career.

(01:22:01):
Can you guys think of another call, another person we've
talked to on our show that's more important than the
call we're about to play in a few minutes. Nope, Nope.
All right, so I just want you to do yourself
a favor, do us a favor, and stick with us
on this. We're gonna take a break now and come
back with a conversation with Bill right after this. Are

(01:22:22):
you doing? This is Wendy William. What's up, y'all? What's
going on? This is Drake And you're listening to Elvis
Duran Elvis Duran and the morning. Hiring is challenging, but
there's one place you can go where hiring is actually
simple and smart. That place is zip recruiter, where growing
businesses connect to qualified candidates. Try it for free at

(01:22:46):
way to hire Social distancing distance. We believe we're in
a much better place. But by June the first, if
every American don't put these guidelines into practice, This is
Elvis Duran in the morning show. I mean, I'm sure
you agree with us. Two months ago, never ever would

(01:23:11):
we have thought we would be in the situation we're
in right now. We're just living our lives, doing our
thing right now and here and here we are, Here
we are today. You know, you don't need for me
to remind you what you've been through and what you're
going through and what you're expecting to go through and
what you're anticipating and what you're afraid could happen or whatever,
but we do know that we have a calling here.

(01:23:32):
For twenty four years we've been doing the show, and
we never really figured out why we would come in
every day and get paid to laugh and cut up
and have fun and do prank phone calls, and you
know what kind of life was that? You know? One
day we realized that what we do for a living
does have a place. And we learned that on I

(01:23:54):
did anyway, on September twelfth, two thousand and one, the
day after nine to eleven. We realize that we are
here for a very important reason, and that's to entertain,
to have fun, to enlighten, to make you cry, make
you laugh, make you think about things from a different perspective,
play some songs, interview some artists, and even though we
don't have a plane flying into a building and taking

(01:24:14):
precious lives from us, you do have things in your
day that you want to forget about for a few minutes.
You do have a drive to go have your chemotherapy
or dialysis, or to bury a loved one, or to
go to work for a boss you just can't stand,
or to go home after work to a partner you
don't like, or an apartment that's totally empty. We're there

(01:24:36):
for those moments to let you have a vacation from
all that. If it could be for five minutes, it
could be for five hours every day. Now we're up
to five hours every day because we know we added
an hour because we needed to do that. And so
I'm speaking on behalf of my best friends that I
get to work with every single day. We know we
have a mission in here, and sometimes it's fart jokes,

(01:24:57):
sometimes it's not. We took a phone call during the
phone tap twenty minutes ago, thirty minutes ago. It was
a phone call as I set up earlier, where straight
Nate said, I think you need to talk to this
guy you need to record this now while we have
him on the phone, and Straight Nate since he started
working for our show, never ever said you need to
record this call. It's very important you take this call.

(01:25:19):
And I'm like, well, okay, and I'm so glad we did.
I'm just gonna play it. This is our phone call
that we recorded a few minutes ago from Bill. Let's
go to line five. Talk to Bill. Hey, Bill, it's
Elvis and Danielle and Gandhi and Scary and Froggy and
straight Nate. How are you doing today? Bill? Hi, good morning, guys, running,

(01:25:44):
good morning. Let me introduce you to Bill. Bill, by
the way, is a nurse manager, so you are responsible
for nurses at a hospital up in Queens, so you
must have an interesting perspective of what's going on here.
Can you fill us in on how for you? Bill?
Absolutely so. I am a nurse manager here out in

(01:26:05):
Queens and last Thursday, we had seven patients in the
emergency department that were all critical care. They needed ventilators
and the higher level of nursing care, but we only
had one available critical care bed and sorry, basically was

(01:26:28):
myself and two other doctors that had to choose which
one of these seven patients was going to get the
critical care bed, and knowing that no matter what you choose,
only one of those patients are going to get that
critical care bed, and knowing that the six others were
going to die, was was I'm sorry. It was really difficult,

(01:26:57):
and it was how do you explain to six other
family members like, I'm sorry that this one patient over
here has a better shot of surviving ben your loved one.
And it comes down to, um, how do you who like?
Who am I to play God? Who am I to

(01:27:18):
choose who lives and who dies? And knowing that I
left work, I got to my car and I just
broke down. And it goes against everything that we do
going into healthcare. It goes against everything that we do
as nurses to be patient advocates for your patients. And

(01:27:40):
it's just I know people want to want to get
back to normal. I know people are struggling financially. I
mean the millions of people that are out of work
and the stressors that go along with you know, how
are you going to pay your mortgage? How are you
going to pay your rent? And but seeing this on
the front lines is just completely different. I was not

(01:28:05):
allowed to come to work for three weeks February twenty
first I had my chemo treatment, and you know, after
three weeks of quarantine, I was, you know, clawing at
the walls and whatnot. And I had to beg my
doctors and beg everyone to let me to come back
to work, knowing what my staff was going through. And

(01:28:27):
you hear about it on the news. You see everything
that's going on. You hear the thousands of numbers, but
to see it in real life and attach those numbers
to people, and you know, making these extremely difficult decisions
is not easy on anyone in the healthcare industry. It's

(01:28:49):
just you know, I know people want to get back
to normal, but you know, we're begging people to please
stay home. And you know, I know, nurses and doctors
they all get the credit and whatnot, but there's so
many other people that also deserve their credit. And for
those people that are staying home and for those people
that are truly making sure that there's that they are

(01:29:10):
staying healthy is is the greatest thing that you can
do for us better in the healthcare industry, and it
allows us to not have to make those horrible decisions.
And it allows us to not have those conversations with
family members to say, hey, you know, I'm sorry. You know,
I'm sorry that we had to choose someone else, and

(01:29:33):
knowing that those other people are going to die is
just I'm sorry, guys, I'm really sorry. Hey, Hey, Bill,
Bill gotta I gotta say something here. Today marks the
twenty fourth anniversary of us doing this morning show together,
and I'm going to tell you, I'm gonna be very,

(01:29:54):
very frank with you. Out of twenty four years of
doing this, this is the most important phone call we
have ever had. To be able to call us and
tell us your story and give us your perspective the
decisions that you and all the other caregivers are giving
right now. That takes sheer bravery, and I'm so sorry

(01:30:17):
that you have to process this, but I'm so so
so happy that we have people like you taking care
of business. There's no way we can thank you enough, Bill,
and your phone call just stands on its own. There
really is no room for any more comment on our side.
I don't think thank you and the the all of

(01:30:38):
the nurses, all the er technicians, all of the people
that are housekeeping and radiologists and food industry people that
are that are making this hospital run is vital. And
you know what we're doing is, you know, because no
family members are allowed into the hospitals for risk of

(01:31:01):
exposing anyone, it's us as nurses that are at the
bedside with these patients in their final moments, holding their hand,
telling them that they're okay, telling them that you know
that they're not alone, and their families aren't even allowed
to be there for their loves one's final moments, and
and seeing that firstand is just horrible. And you know,

(01:31:26):
we go back to saying, please, guys, please stay home,
Please don't get sick. And it alleviates our ability to,
you know, make these ethical dilemma decisions. It allows us
to you know, really treat the maximum amount of people
as possible. I mean, it's I'm really trying to hold

(01:31:47):
it together, guys. So I'm really sorry. You're doing a
great job holding it together, just even sharing the story
and getting it out there and placing it into perspective
for people to truly understand. I work with such an
amazing team and I couldn't have asked for anything better. Truly,
I couldn't think of anything better. Than to be there
on the front line and just knowing that we're all

(01:32:10):
in this together. Thank you, guys for taking for taking
the time to, you know, to even just listen to
this one person in the city. Of all the different
stories that are out there, well, how fortunate are we
that you chose us to tell your story too. Thank you, guys,
and guys, please please stay safe, have a wonderful morning,
and thank you for even just giving us this little

(01:32:33):
bit of a laugh before we go into work. It
really means a lot more than maybe you guys even know. Well.
Thank you, and I appreciate that very much coming from you. Bill.
Thank you absolutely, Thank you guys, and have a great day.
Elvis Duran in the Morning Show. This is Elvis Duran
in the Morning Show. Wow, everyone's still talking about the

(01:32:55):
phone call we just experienced with Bill, the nurse manager
for hospital up in Queen's. I gotta tell you something.
I don't think we've ever received such a response from
anything that powerful on our show ever. And I'm so
happy that Bill chose us to share his story with today.
Happy maybe not the right word. We're honored to have

(01:33:16):
his story shared. If you missed it, oh wow, if
you want to hear it again. A lot of people
are texting in saying they want to share it with
other people that aren't listening to our show. We would
love to share it with you. So I know that
they're working in the background to put it up at Elvis,
Duran dot com, and we're gonna put it on all
of our socials. It's going to be up as soon
as possible. The phone call from Bill, the phone call

(01:33:36):
that changed everything. And I was saying to Danielle and
Gandhi and everyone a second ago is we keep chugging along,
and when you hear a phone call or you hear
someone's story like that, it reminds you of the severity
of what is going on right now. And I know
it's it's it's natural for us to try to forget
about it and move on and cover it with laughter

(01:33:59):
and nervous nervous things we do, like, you know, dressing
up like Santa Claus and singing at the piano while
drinking martinis. But you know, at the same time, when
that reality does creep in, it's like a wave, a
wave of it, isn't it. I mean, Danielle, Gandhi, I mean,
how are you feeling, and it's like, because we're not

(01:34:20):
on the inside, and he has this perspective from the
inside that I think a lot of people we just
don't realize. We don't stop down to think about it enough,
and so we see what we see from the outside
and we just don't we don't see all the facts.
A lot of times, I think, and when he says
something like there's six people, five of them are not

(01:34:40):
going to make it. One of them gets to make it,
I mean, I just you can't even I mean, how
do you even question what he sees? Do you know
what I mean? I don't know, Gandhi, what do you think?
I don't know. I think that he said something really important.
So for me, I'm one of those people who once
a number hits a certain amount, I kind of get
desensitized by it. But he was talking about putting a

(01:35:01):
number with an actual human being, and that makes all
the difference in the world. Like Danielle was talking about,
there were six people, five of them are not going
to make it, and that's just six people. You look
at the numbers that forty thousand people are passing away
from this and it's just devastating and it's all the
more reason why we need to do our part to
protect people like Bill and all the people who are
working to take care of us. Yeah, Froggy, what are

(01:35:22):
your thoughts? You know, it is such a complex problem,
but yet the solution is so simple. And I think
that that's the thing that people have a hard time
wrapping your head around, is that what can we Everybody
always asks what can I do to help? And in
this case, the solution is really simple. Keep your ass
at home. Stay home. That truly is the best way

(01:35:43):
to help. But I know people want to do more,
and it's great that you're doing it, and it's great
that we're doing all this stuff, but the truth of
the matter is, like he said, the easiest thing to
do is to stay home and stop the spread of
this virus so that we can get ahead of it.
That's why we are giving you the Stay at Home
Ball this Friday night. What a second the Great Segg

(01:36:06):
the Stay at Home Ball. We've just announced it a
little while ago. Uh And if you want to see
the performers, a goes on and on and on. The
list is massive. You can check out us Elvis durand
show on Instagram and you see it all right there.
And you never know who we may add to these
this extravaganza. It's the stay at home Ball Friday night,
eight o'clock. You can watch it on our Elvis Durand show. Uh.

(01:36:26):
And so what it is on YouTube? Right? We have
so many I can't do YouTube's it's Friday night again.
Check our Elvis Durand Show socials right now. Uh. And
like I said, that call from Bill, as soon as
we have it up, I will tell you so you
can share it with everyone you love in your life.
It's it is a call worth sharing, truly is Let's

(01:36:47):
get into sound in the kitchen. It's the one and
only Garrett. I see uh, I see activity in the background.
Breakfast the kids where we make the house is waking
up right now. We're coming to a vote. It's a
pan cakes with chocolate chips or cereal. I'm going for
the cereal because it's the easy. Yes, pancakes. Well that's
what the kids want. I want cereal because it's easier.

(01:37:09):
But I'll let you know the vote later. Right now,
got eggs. They're not bougie like you, all right, omelets,
they're tiny. I'm thinking about being a kid eating an omelet.
That's disgust. Ye never put the word omelet. This sounds

(01:37:31):
so maybe if if I put the omelet in a taco,
they'll eat it. But aside from that, they're not eating omelets.
All right. Let's talk about to put it on a
bun scar, all right. So a lot of kids are
interviewing their parents in quarantine, and listen to this daughter
ask her dad two simple questions. Okay, dad, you have
two options A staying quarantined in the house with mom

(01:37:54):
or B. B you're recording of my house? Or no,
I think many houses? Many houses? Who? All right? So
we're also finding many talents while in quarantine. So this
guy got a bunch of glasses, filled them up all
different sizes and performed the Pirates of the Caribbean on glasses.

(01:38:39):
I could never do that. That's just all right. This
was trending last night from Wheel of Fortune, the final
puzzle and what Pat Pat say Jack said and how
the contestant reacted is what's going viral? A quick for
the Nipper? Was it Zipper? No? I know I was

(01:39:00):
trying to send you an f telepathically, but it didn't.
I believe it's twins. All right, we've talked about this before,
so our very own Danielle has been on a game
show called The Weakest Link of many years ago, and
she was knocked out very early after she got this

(01:39:21):
question wrong in math, how much is two percent of
one hundred? Him? So bad at math? No to Jeff,
the medical condition braided partia cursed in which human organ
the hard correct than what is the brightest star in
our solar system? And we have been giving her crap

(01:39:51):
ever since that that was how many years ago? Oh gosh,
that was a long time ago. Well, everyone loves the
eight now, everyone loves the comeback story. So Danielle has
some retribution. He was on Bobby Bones's Zoom game show
where he had a bunch of radio DJs from across
the country competing against each other. Came down to Danielle
and Cody Allen and uh, we'll find out who wins

(01:40:14):
right here. Cody, soon enough, you'll see the sun right now.
I gotta go buy Cody, you gotta revenge. And she
won five dollars and I got to donate to charity,

(01:40:34):
which was fantastic. All right, And then Elvis, you've been
talking about it from from last night's Instagram live performance
UH with Elvis and Alex and special guests. Here's Elvis
singing Rudolf the Red Nose right here. I think my

(01:40:57):
piano playing speaks a lot today. The most amazing part
is lifted your hands and it kept playing all right. Yeah.
You also had special guests where the bells ringing, children singing,
and everybody stuck in the snow. Oh, I don't think

(01:41:20):
the words. Yes, Uncle Johnny Daniel's favorite part of the
show when we pulled Uncle Johnny's head out of a bag,
and then Alex and Elvis doing Santa Claus is coming
to town. You better watch out, you better better out.

(01:41:46):
That class is coming. You know. It's funny during that
part of the song, I think you dropped the F
bomb and I was watching with my four year old
He goes, it's my favorite song. I'm gonna get it
an no, no, no, I gotta go sorry. Sometimes sometimes
Santa drops the F bomb, you know, yes, and then
finally you close it out Alex and Elvis singing let

(01:42:08):
it snow by, We're still good bye. Let it's no,
Let's let it no. I love you. Yeah, by the way, Yeah,

(01:42:45):
Alex thinks he sings every note perfectly, so don't don't
share the truth with him. Okay, By the way, feel
free to uh watch the whole thing. I have it
up on my Elvis Duran instagram if you want to
relive those moments and there's your sound, yes, Garrett, Yeah, Well,
last question, are you and Alex going to be performing
at the Stay at Home Ball on Friday night? On YouTube? No? No,

(01:43:09):
come on, no, we that's our only performance of our
ever ever. All right, Farren? Anyway, thank you. You're a
good American Garrett, Love you goodbye, Love you too. I
think I may start doing that regularly at the piano
with Elvis and alexod I don't know. We had over
twenty eight thousand people check it out. I'm not saying

(01:43:30):
they stayed for very long. They weren't there very long. Anyway.
What's that straight name? What are you wanting to know?
What was that accent you were using? That was my
uh sophisticated Santa accent? Oh? I didn't know. Exist If
Santa's having Martini's and playing a grand piano, didn't you

(01:43:54):
know he's got to have that accent? Sorry? Did he
do it for us? Now? Real? Quick without the martini.
I have to have a martini a piano for Danielle. Yes,
let's get into the Danielle Report. What do you have
going on? All right? So the cast of NBC's The
Office has launched a coronavirus fundraising campaign. This is pretty cool.
If you win and you donate money, you get to

(01:44:16):
have a virtual date with Oscar Creed, Meredith and jan
And not only do you get to talk to them virtually,
but they're going to give you behind the scenes secrets.
How cool is that? I would love to I know, right,
we want to all go bit on that. Also, if
you go to the all in Challenge dot com, over
fifteen million people fifty million dollars sorry has been raised

(01:44:37):
for that already. And right now, there is something really
cool with the cast of Friends. We're waiting for them
to do that reunion show on HBO Max. Well, you
will be there with five of your friends and you
get to have coffee with the cast on the set
of Central Perk. So that's pretty cool. That's at the
all all in Challenge dot Com. Apple TV plus is

(01:44:57):
giving us a Fraggle Rock reunion and guys, you remember
the cartoon fag Oh my god, come to Rotten. Okay,
this is called Fraggle Rock Rock On. It's all new

(01:45:19):
but Gobo, Red Duber, They're all gonna be there. It's
it's entirely shot on iPhone, so it'll be interesting to see.
But that's on the way. Demi Lavado is worried about
people's mental health during the COVID nineteen battle, people who
are left at home and have to worry about their anxieties,
their abusers, stuff like that, And she has actually started

(01:45:40):
her own um support system for this for people who
are going through this crisis and have to deal with
the stuff that I just told you about. So if
you google that, you can find out all the information
if you need something like that. Sophie Turner and Joe
Jonas donated meals to LA Hospitals, one hundred meals they
took out from a local Greek restaurant and they gave

(01:46:01):
the meals to the to the hospitals, which is pretty cool.
Harry and Megan did call the Queen Mom on her
ninety fourth birthday, just in case you were wondering. They
did give her a call. Apparently it was like a
FaceTime video and all I can imagine is her trying
to FaceTime with her little nose, like seeing up her
nose like I do, like I do with my mom,
and I can see up her nose. It's just so funny.

(01:46:23):
Tonight the Survivors on the Mass Singer is on. You
also have people presents Harry and Meghan a royal rebellion
over on the cwuh, this is pretty cool. H two
oh the molecule that made us over on PBS. Since
it is Earth Day, and I know the Disney Plus
if you have that has tons of Earthday stuff today.
And also b ET has their COVID nineteen concert and

(01:46:45):
they have tons of artists performing, so that's something you
may want to check out tonight as well. That is
my Danielle report. What about to stay at Homeball Friday?
Which I know about it. You don't need people about it.
I don't want anyone to make any plans for Friday.
I want them to plan on being with us. Stay
at home Friday. We got a ball going on. Jason

(01:47:07):
Derulo is gonna take a shirt off, some other people
are going to perform. Money is going to a good
cause and it's on our YouTube channel starting at what
time eight o'clock and it was our ball. Right, you
go on a frigging show Friday night, were any ramos?

(01:47:27):
We love him. He's gonna be there. We're gonna make
some meat balls and watch to stay at home ball.
You know I'm saying, thank you, Danny All. I love you,
Tay a break. You don't forget. We have a bonus
hour of this mess coming up in one hour on
ZE one hundred, New York. We'll see you the back
after this. I love you guys. They'll listen to you
every day. Thank you for listening. This is Elvis Duran

(01:47:48):
in the Morning Showy, Elvis Duran in the Morning Show. Hey,
you got some local businesses that sure do need our help, right.
That's why Verizon is raising awareness and supporting local businesses
with their pay it Forward live concerts. Tonight, it's Billy
Eilish and her brother Phineas. They'll be performing for you.

(01:48:10):
Go to Verizon's Twitter or Facebook or YouTube pages at
Verizon eight o'clock tonight, eight o'clock East Coast time, and
you'll see Billy Eilish and Phineas and thank you so
much for helping us pay it Forward live hashtag pay
it Forward live while you're watching the show tonight. We
love you, Verizon. And by the way, thank you a
little personal thank you to Verizon for keeping my cell
phone on during these troubled times. Yes, thank you. During

(01:48:35):
these uncertain times, you need a phone call to go through,
you need a text to work, Thank you, Verizon. I
love that big red V. No jokes, let's see. Yeah,
Nate's right. The commercials that we've been asked to read
are all during these trying times, right. What are some

(01:48:58):
other ones during these challenging times? Is when I heard unprecedented, time,
uncertain yeping, historic, different times like these, I've been keeping
this is what I've been doing. You're you're writing them down.
I've been writing them down. I had this list for
about a week and a half. Every time I hear
a new term, I write it down to add to

(01:49:20):
the master list. So they covered a lot of them
and I got a few more money. Look, look, I'm
I'm very proud that people are coming to us and
they still want us to be their partners to get
their messages across and you know, and of course there's
revenue coming into our company from it, and we all
know how that works, right, And it's no surprise to anyone. Uh,

(01:49:42):
but when someone sits down to write copy, they're like, okay,
I need Elvis to read. Okay, let's start with during
these uncertain time no, during these crappy no, I feel
for them, like, what are you gonna do? You know
we're doing our best. Hey, so, um, we do have
the Bonus Hour coming up. We've decided to kick the

(01:50:04):
show off at ten o'clock on Z one hundred New
York with Jason Derulo since he's one of our stars
from our Stay at Home ball that's going down Friday night.
Tell us all about that ball. Uh, Danielle, you do
a great job. All right. Well, it's a Friday night
and it's eight pm Eastern time. You get a glass
of wine, you put your pajamas on, you put your
ass on the couch. You got Jason Derulo, Alessia Kara,

(01:50:26):
Anthony Ramos, Bryce Vine Making Trainer, a lot of other
great acts are gonna be there. It's gonna be fantastic.
You got nothing else to freaking do. It's for a
good cause and it's gonna be fantastic. So this is
your Balls at Home and watch ours. That's right, Hopefully,

(01:50:49):
all right, of course, we are raising awareness and money
for Project Cure. They are fabulous. We love them. Let's
get into the is it three things time? I don't
even know what day it is? Is it time for
three things? I don't know? I don't know the three
things we need to know from Gandhi? What's going on?
All right? President Trump highlighted a few details about his
executive order to temporarily stop immigration during the pandemic. He

(01:51:12):
told reporters the suspension will last about sixty days and
will apply to those seeking permanent residents. The order could
be extended after that initial sixty day period. Parts of
southern California were rattled overnight by a three point seven
magnitude earthquake that struck Los Angeles County. It was just
about ten miles outside of downtown LA. No reports of
damages or injuries. But in other news from Nature, more

(01:51:34):
tornadoes are being predicted in the Deep South all the
way from Texas to the Carolinas between today and tomorrow.
They could bring large hail and damaging winds. Flooding is
also a threat, as the storms could dump over an
inch of rain per hour as they roll across the South.
So if you live in those areas, prepare yourself. And finally,
McDonald's is doing something really cool. Starting today, they are

(01:51:55):
serving first responders and healthcare workers for free. Frontline workers
who have a work bad or are in uniform can
get a free mail during breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You
can also choose from any size soft drink, tea, or
hot coffee. This offer is going through May fifth at
participating restaurants. So good luck to you. If you're a
frontline person, we love you for that. Oh those are
your three things. Thank you, Gandhi. Let's take a break.

(01:52:17):
We'll be back right after this miss part of today's show.

(01:58:08):
doesn't respect boundaries or borders right now. Our best defense
has been social distancing, social distancing, Durand in the Morning Show. Yeah,

It's gonna be a whole different ball game starting at
ten o'clock East Coast time. Danielle, another report from you.

(01:58:30):
What you have? All right? Well, we're all at home
so Netflix, Yeah, it's one of the things we're subscribing to.
They just added sixteen million new subscribers, so I would
say they're doing okay. What do you think? Speaking of
staying at home, we have our stay at Home Ball
going down Friday night, eight pm Eastern Time over on
our YouTube channel. All the proceeds go to Project Cure,

(01:58:53):
people like Lewis Capaldi, Kesha Thomas Rhead, Sophia Carson, Julia Michaels,
the list goes on and on. But they're all going
to be there performing and it's gonna be a fun night,
so make sure you are tuned in. So Queen Elizabeth
turned ninety four yesterday, and I don't know why I
was bored yesterday, So I started doing a lot a
little bit of research on her. She doesn't break in
her own shoes. She actually has her long time designer,

(01:59:16):
her dressmaker, who has the same size foot. It's hard
do it, and she breaks them in and then you know,
I guess the Queen doesn't get any bunyans or whatever
for any problems with her feet because somebody else does
it for her. Elizabeth's feet is kind of yeah, think
about ninety four year old feet. Yeah, sucking on those toes.

(01:59:41):
All right, let's sun out the Hunger Games. There is
a prequel in the works. It is coming down the
line Venom the sequel, Let there be Carnage. That is
being pushed to June of twenty twenty one and the
April twenty seven to May sixth south By Southwest Film Festival.
You're gonna be able to stream those films on AMA's
on hand scoop. But the Scooby Doo movie is going

(02:00:03):
straight to video and on demand, so you can be
able to rent that at home, coming out very soon
in May. And that is my Danielle report. All right,
thank you, Danielle. We're back right after this this show
in the morning show. With kids going online more for
