Wow?

Speaker 4 (02:38):
Ben, what are your plans.

Speaker 5 (02:40):
So like staying asterikt like staying in the like asterrect
is an asterix. Sorry, asterix, like multiple asterisks.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
I think just asterik.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
It's just like that's.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
It spell asterix. Yeah, it's an ex at the end asterix.
Well is this a brand? Wait, this might be a brand.
I know this is a brand. There is asterisk.

Speaker 5 (03:09):
Oh wait oh okay, I'm understanding. Okay, sorry asterix asterix.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
I'm confused saying what is it?

Speaker 1 (03:15):
What do you mean?

Speaker 5 (03:16):
Like I mean, like I it should it should be
fine for me to say, Oh, it was just kind
of like yeah, as long as like there's not like
an issue, like as long as you can.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
What as long as I like it's allowed to do.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
Another as long as you make a viral TikTok.

Speaker 5 (03:35):
As long as there's no like rule against doing like
a third semester pretty much.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Oh right, we were talking about that.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Yeah, I hope that you and.

Speaker 5 (03:45):
Like word comes to worth like I could just do
a different department or something.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
Yeah, so yes, so Benji.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Yeah excited?

Speaker 4 (03:58):
Do you go on it?

Speaker 1 (04:00):
According to Live it's cute. I love I love a nicknam.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
I just started it randomly like what last.

Speaker 5 (04:08):
Week, I know, and now it's gonna go away.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
Is your full name Benjamin or is it just ben
Benjamin Okay, I just ben.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
She one of my best.

Speaker 5 (04:19):
Friends recently that that was the case, because like I
was like joking once with her years ago.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
And I was like, no, it's just ben bentanyl.

Speaker 5 (04:28):
And then like probably within the last year, she found out, Wow, Benjamin,
and I was like.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Okay, she's like you liar.

Speaker 5 (04:37):
I was like, who, I'm sorry, but yeah, so that's
my truth.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Wait, we should make our tiktoks that we talked about
like the first week. Yeah, wow, I'd be like, Andrew,
look what I created, viral content. Let me stay work exactly.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
Yeah, we actually should make those times we actually need to.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
Yeah, we will.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Yeah, I have them listed on here. Don't worry.

Speaker 5 (05:05):
Oh perfect, But yeah, I this pot is always so
fun and I'm just glad that we've all gone to
like kiky and hang.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Out every week.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
Did you guys ever see yourselves as podcasters before this internship?

Speaker 2 (05:19):
No, which is like so nice because now I didn't
even really know that this world existed. Well I did,
but I never like thought that I could be a
part of it. And like, I so can?

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Yeah can you literally so can?

Speaker 2 (05:34):
What about you guys?

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Honestly, I've always wanted to have my own podcast, So
just like kind of jumping into this, like it showed
me that you can be extremely opinionated and you can
just be yourself. So it made me honestly more confident
to want to start a podcast work. So stay tuned.

Speaker 4 (05:53):
Oh get me on there. You didn't guess that guy stars?

Speaker 5 (06:04):
Yeah, I feel like doing this podcast has also helped,
Like Phil, like, if you're talking to someone and you're
trying to like make like small talk with them, it's like,
so I feel like it's so much easier now because
I'm like you used to thinking.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
Of like a random I forget to prepare for them.

Speaker 6 (06:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
Oh yeah, I feel like I get used to interviewing people,
Like I'm like, oh, what would I do if I
were like on a podcast right now? Would I ask you?

Speaker 2 (06:28):
I'm just like being here in the studio listening to
the like all of our amazing hosts like ask people
questions and like have conversations with each other. It's just
like really helpful because it's so natural for them. You
don't even realize that they're like preparing things, but like
seeing them from this studio right there, like it like
really is work. Yeah, it doesn't seem like it because

(06:51):
they make it flow really nicely.

Speaker 5 (06:53):
Yeah for sure. Well, so what was your favorite part
of the internship.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
My favorite part was like obviously learning more about myself
and like just this amazing opportunity like learning more about
the industry and just working on like my professionalism and
all that. But like also meeting you guys, the people.

(07:23):
I mean, Gandhi just today like took the time to
say bye, gave me her number, and like was just
so sweet about like saying like if I ever needed
anything in the future, Like it's just people like that
that like really like go like it really like holds
special place in my heart because she doesn't need to
do that, like I'm just an intern, Like she has

(07:43):
so many things to do and that I think that's
just so nice. Like and every morning like this is
a fun little thing. But Scott would have fruit and
he would share with me in Diamond and it was
just like so so cute and nice. So it's just
such a great working environment to be here. And that
was my favorite thing.

Speaker 6 (08:02):
Oh sweet, thanks, What about you guys?

Speaker 3 (08:08):
So I would say the first thing is definitely meeting
the entire crew. Like I said, I have been listening
to this radio station since I was like maybe ten,
So getting to meet everybody was actually really cool for me.
My parents, like hearing me on air was like even
on Definitely working with Kayla, Definitely working with you guys.

(08:34):
I think just coming into the office every day. It's
just like you never know what to expect when you're
in the office. I'm like more of the quiet one,
so I'm just like observant and I hear everything. But
it's just like hilarious the conversations that I hear half
the time. Oh yes, it's just like a breath of
fresh air, honestly. So I just I just enjoyed continuing
to do what I love in a place that's new

(08:56):
to me, honestly.

Speaker 7 (08:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (08:57):
Oh yeah, so SWEETI h.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
What was my favorite part of the internship. I did, like,
I did a whole journal entry when I turned in
like not my two weeks, but my like my one month,
And I was like, wow, did a journal entry.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
I sat on the train going home.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
You sorry, No, I just keep going.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
What did you think?

Speaker 1 (09:21):
I didn't know.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
I was sitting on the train and I was journaling.
I was like, wow, I'm really going to miss Like, well,
I'm not going to miss waking up so early. I'm
excited to sleep in again, but I'm going to miss
like hanging out with everyone, like the intern podcast was
so much fun, like last Master and this semester. I'm
going to miss having.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Two different podcasts.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
I feel like last what would you say the vibe
of last semester's podcast was? It was like it was
more entertainment focus, Like we talked about the Oscars, we
talked about Traders, we talked about drag Race a lot.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
I don't even know.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
I feel like this one feels more structured, like we
asked questions than the other one was just sort of
like like back and forth.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Is it like a lot of personalities.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
I don't even know.

Speaker 5 (10:12):
It was just very much like I think because we
recorded in the green room, literally felt like we were
just like hanging out.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
Yeah I should feel. But then also we'd be like, okay,
we need to wrap this the fuck up.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
We would we would record for hours, like actually like
two hours out of the day we would be recording.
We would just get into it and just never But like,
my thing is like I want to go back to
recording in the green room while it's the Sandals Beach
House extra maganza. You don't turn on the mic, come on,
chime in.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
I mean compared to before, I'm living out.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
For the Sandals.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
My thing is, I always got freaked out by Sandals
because I was like, why do you why is it
an adult only beach? Like me as a kid, got
freaked out, But Sandals only does like adults. It's an
adult only beach you go to be away from kids.
So that always faked me out because they would advertise
on like Disney Channel or something and it'd be like
adult only beach. It's like, yeah, I'm like, I'm muching

(11:06):
SpongeBob right now.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
That doesn't make much sense here, huh.

Speaker 4 (11:12):
I'm busting in on your podcast. My god, it was so.

Speaker 7 (11:21):
Great meeting you too.

Speaker 6 (11:23):
I'm sure we'll see you.

Speaker 4 (11:25):
Gandhi said, she gave you all the information. Yes, yes,
I know that, sorry podcast people. Yes, yes, Oh she's
so cute. She reminds me so much of my own mom, Like.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
That's like the best, Yes, I love her really the
coolest mom.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
Yes, truly mother.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
Kind of mother, and those.

Speaker 4 (11:53):
Are my two moms right there. I'm so waiting for
Elvis to adopt me like a drag daughter, like I
want to be okays like radio drag daughter.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
Oh my house.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
From the House of Duranna's crazy.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
I just has one dog, right or does he have to?

Speaker 1 (12:19):
I don't know to Max?

Speaker 2 (12:21):
And oh I only met Max?

Speaker 4 (12:25):
You meant the tll Yeah, I didn't see him, though.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
I saw I saw the Why do miss the dog
right here?

Speaker 1 (12:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (12:35):
What day was that?

Speaker 2 (12:36):
Ever?

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Last week? Two weeks ago? M never here?

Speaker 4 (12:41):
Yeah, I fear I'm like someone can walk. Hey, now
you're reading me? What the hell? On our last episode? Ever?
Truth comes out?

Speaker 7 (12:54):
Look at this thing?

Speaker 4 (12:56):
Oh? Is that the young the old one?

Speaker 2 (12:58):
This was Max?

Speaker 4 (12:59):
The one that food right there?

Speaker 6 (13:00):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (13:01):
My good dog, sweet baby. I was always amazed at
Elvison bringing the dogs more like how much Elvis loves
the dogs?

Speaker 2 (13:08):
Yeah? I mean he probably has like a nice like
little sitter at home.

Speaker 4 (13:12):
Oh, probably, or the the husband Alex.

Speaker 7 (13:17):
Oh true.

Speaker 4 (13:18):
I always wanted to meet Alex too.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
Has he ever came in?

Speaker 4 (13:21):
Yeah, but not not during the time we've been here
at all, I don't think.

Speaker 5 (13:30):
Yeah. Circling back to your journal entry, I was really
confused because what did you think it was? I thought
you meant, like, you know, like in school when you
have to like a journal entry.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
Like a book report or something. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
I thought, like that's what you meant. I was like,
who the fuck asked you for?

Speaker 4 (13:43):
Andrew asked me for a reflection.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
I was like, you didn't just do the report, Like
I'm confused. Oh god, I haven't done that at all. Yeah,
you're flopping on your reports.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
Yeah, I fully have not done that. I even know
what that is. It's like the weekly report that you
have to say to Andrew.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
Oh, you don't have that.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
I don't think we do that.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
Do we do that?

Speaker 5 (14:04):
What well heiled us in July was like every two
weeks do this?

Speaker 2 (14:08):
Maybe because we were here for so sure?

Speaker 5 (14:10):
Yeah, yeah I did mine.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
Oh I'm just kind of like, well.

Speaker 4 (14:15):
My thing is he never circled in circle circled back
to it with three out of the four interns. So
I'm probably fine. I think you're fine. Yeah, I mean well,
because I don't know, because I skipped so many I
had to write a reading report for I had to
write my journal entry, and I was like sitting on
the train and I was like so many like cool
things happened, and all the adoption events and the cool

(14:36):
guests and free food, all the time, and I don't know,
it was a fun, fun internship. Yeah that's cool.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Yeah, I love that you're journally on the train.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
Oh I'm that weirdo who will sit in like the
because I take the Q home like the sideways seats
and then put my feet up and write like you
would be.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
Like this totally. Yeah, I know. I can believe they're
getting rid of like those.

Speaker 4 (15:01):
The four oh the subway one.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
I can't even imagine that right now.

Speaker 4 (15:07):
That's okay, okay, Jersey, I wish we got like end
of internships wag though, Like I see Diamond walking around

(15:29):
with the hoodie, I'm like, I want the hoodie.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
I'm sure you could something.

Speaker 4 (15:33):
Yeah, I got a call in for the free crap
phone tack where.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
In the closet there's a closet, Yeah, locked?

Speaker 4 (15:44):
Do I have to talk today?

Speaker 7 (15:45):
Just ask Scottie or Andrew.

Speaker 4 (15:47):
Mm work.

Speaker 5 (15:49):
I have a lot of merch, sorry, I have a
lot of merch from promotion. Oh you like needed something
from like every station?

Speaker 4 (15:58):
Oh wow, draining my.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
Elbous hoodie excitedly wore because it was.

Speaker 5 (16:02):
A company am I just start pulling up in it
and like yeah, jealous.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
Yeah, genuinely I want one.

Speaker 1 (16:13):
Maybe you can like borrow it some time.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
No, I would just never come back, just like you.
It's okay when Josh eviably doesn't want to do drops
ever again, I will be back.

Speaker 7 (16:28):
No.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
I'm actually really sad.

Speaker 5 (16:33):
Because then when we start the season three of the
Duran Clan, like, I literally will have no one to
lean on.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
You're you're the ginger minge of of the of the
Duran Clans, drag queen from Drag Race, who just keeps
coming back. She just went All Stars though.

Speaker 5 (16:49):
So okay, But am i her? Am I her in
her bracket? Or am I her in the semi finals?

Speaker 4 (16:55):
You're the glamour toed entrance.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
Look, am I pickled?

Speaker 4 (17:00):
Maybe we'll say you're Georgias with her third time going
on the show.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
Turkey is so good. I had to vogue.

Speaker 4 (17:07):
What does that mean?

Speaker 1 (17:08):
We tweeted it on Thanksgiving?

Speaker 4 (17:10):
Oh, I don't follow anything.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
She was eating was so good? She had to Okay,
so stupid.

Speaker 5 (17:21):
So I want to know what everyone's listening to?

Speaker 4 (17:25):
Oh, are you for real? As I mentioned last week,
I'm getting actually, wait, are you listen to?

Speaker 6 (17:30):
Wait?

Speaker 4 (17:30):
I want to prompt this. I'm still getting my iPod
in the mail. It comes in tomorrow, and I'm downloading
my favorite albums, and I want to know everyone in
my life's like number one favorite album.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
T do you want to mind? Yes? No moman.

Speaker 4 (17:47):
Oh that impacted me in high school?

Speaker 1 (17:51):
Yes, yeah, so good. Ten out of ten.

Speaker 5 (17:56):
I used to listen to it for like two years straight.
I listened to her going to sleep every night.

Speaker 4 (18:00):
Wow, you never got sick of it. That's that's good.

Speaker 5 (18:04):
Could be a nice so good Yeah, it's literally so good.

Speaker 1 (18:09):
Yeah, definitely her best album for sure. But that's not
what I'm listening to right now.

Speaker 4 (18:14):
But what are you listening to right now?

Speaker 7 (18:16):
Then?

Speaker 2 (18:17):
I need to look Honestly, this is kind of random,
but like I found a new song to work out to,
and I was just like playing it on repeat so
to like paint this visual in your head. I was
just playing this in the gym. It's like, can I

(18:39):
play it?

Speaker 4 (18:40):
Just like pointed into the Oh, I love it because
I'm about too. Oh that's like a really popular song.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
Okay, yeah, but I didn't know how I LBB two.

Speaker 4 (18:52):
No one would know that song.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
If I just said that, I would.

Speaker 4 (18:56):
We were not allowed to play music into the mic,
what if it's my music?

Speaker 5 (19:04):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (19:08):
Yeah, okay, what am I? Oh? I'm listening to the
Subway by Chapel Row. Yes, I did I tell you? Okay,
So you know the wheat pasting things that she has
through Manhattan. I stole one. I stole one well drunk picture.
I don't, I don't. I haven't put it up yet.
I'm putting it up tonight with my girlfriend. Of course.
It's the one where she has It's like it's like

(19:28):
the border says the subway, and she's like holding all
the wigs and it's yes, I love that one is
a humongous It's it's not bigger than like a normal
like concert. No, thank god, No, it's maybe this TV upwagh,
it's like a normal poster. Yes, it's not too bad.

Speaker 7 (19:46):
It's one of my really good friends works for the
company that puts all the posters up.

Speaker 4 (19:50):
That's what I'm saying. I I saved it from certain
death and covering and landfill. Now she gets to live
in my house.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
That's great.

Speaker 4 (19:58):
Dang there on those sub way Oh okay, so I
have two Moona posters which are a little smaller. Why
did no one tell me frames were expensive? They are
thirty dollars. Oh insane. Yeah, only on Amazon.

Speaker 7 (20:12):
You can find like a cheaper one, like a Plexia glass.

Speaker 4 (20:15):
Well, even those are like thirty dollars.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
I found great ones at TJ's for really cheap.

Speaker 4 (20:21):
I do need I've been eating or that, and like
they're one in the city. Yeah, that's what I was
thinking of because I haven't.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
Yep where financial districts. See you there. I was just there.

Speaker 4 (20:31):
They swing by the bathhouse while I'm at it too.

Speaker 1 (20:33):
Oh they had another like fire.

Speaker 4 (20:37):
I worried about that. It was a bad one too, right.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
Smoke and my building was like, we don't know where
it's coming from.

Speaker 4 (20:43):
The girl took the bathhouse Like girl, no, they're part
of it. Your building is part of it.

Speaker 7 (20:49):
Oh.

Speaker 5 (20:49):
So I saw my My doorman was on my floor
this morning. I was like, what are you doing. I
was like scared of youal No, I actually love him,
but I was like hey, and I was like, what
are you doing up here? And he was like there
was a fire alarm going off and I was like yeah,
I could hear it from my apartment. It was like
I think it's like burnt toast because like I don't know,
like I know what toast smells.

Speaker 4 (21:07):
Like, Wait, what do anything with the Brooklyn that's right
by my other work bankruptcy. Oh, yes, they've been bleeding. Okay,
here's the story. They just canceled a lesso. So out
in Ridgewood on the border between Queens and Brooklyn off
the l there is a place called the Brooklyn Mirage

(21:30):
and it was like a famous like mid tier like
upper echelon venue, sort of like terminal five level. And
they're like, we're gonna do this big remarket. We're gonna
do a big what's the word where you renovate. They renovated,
and they're like, we're gonna be open in May. And
they had a huge, like full roster, like every day

(21:51):
something new, and then it hits May and they're like, hey, guys,
were not done. And then it hits June July they're
still not open. And apparently the issue is is because
they built like this really grand stage, but they applied
to the city for a building permit that's for temporary buildings,
like temporary structures, so it can be less safe because
it's temporary. But then the building inspector shows up and

(22:13):
it's like, girl, this is obviously not temporary, and you've
got to be up to code, and they just never
got up to code and they were like bleeding money
every day. Like if you walk by it, it's just
like under construction everywhere. Well, yeah, chapter a lot than
bankruptcy is that like they're they're done. It's over. Wow,

(22:35):
it's should here's my here's my question. How does one
get an Elvis Duran podcast that I don't know?

Speaker 7 (22:44):
For my process, we get emails and like submissions, like.

Speaker 4 (22:49):
All people submit, yeah, but it's like it has to
go through iHeart Corporate, so like m they have to
submit it to them and then they're like, oh, we
think that this would be great for Elvis's sleep because
they're missing this like there's a white space.

Speaker 7 (23:03):
I say, Oh, and this person is from Jersey or
from Connecticut, so they love Elvis, you know, like should
be a little bit of a connect like Elvis needs
to really enjoy their content as well.

Speaker 4 (23:14):
Cute, but yeah, Elvis need any gay podcasts, I'll do.
I'll do the last Calturistas, but for lesbians.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
Yeah, did you know my brother?

Speaker 4 (23:26):
Yes, you knew that. Yeah, somebody told me what.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
Yeah, Tommy Dario, like my brother my twin brother is
his brother, who's like best friend. So I like grew
up with the Darios.

Speaker 4 (23:37):

Speaker 1 (23:41):

Speaker 4 (23:44):

Speaker 2 (23:47):

for sure.

Speaker 7 (23:50):
He looks like he's like a really romance model.

Speaker 4 (23:54):
But the one who had wait, was he the yes
what I saw him when he had a guest come in?

Speaker 7 (24:03):

Speaker 4 (24:03):

it was like when it was like a big Leah yeah,
or Jason Isaacs.

Speaker 7 (24:09):

Lucius malfoy, he's really Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
He's really good.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
He's crazy.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
He like he like when did he start this.

Speaker 4 (24:20):

Speaker 2 (24:22):

started his He worked for Extra TV and IMDb first,
so that's how he has.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
I'm not listening to anything specifically right now, but I

head because my little brother is now eleven, and he's
like in a I guess preteen era where oh he's cool.
