of the Year type thing. A person who I've been
friends with since orientation named Melinda is winning our Junior
Journalism Senior of the Year, and it's great is the.

But what's great is the professor who, like I've had
a couple of classes with her and this professor, but
like she's worked for him forever.

I know we're not the sports pod guys, but I'm

well being right now. So my friends are throwing a
little party throughout the entire day. Last week they did
it and they were like, you know what, we're about
to graduate. We're running it back again. So some people
might be on the floor. Who knows where others might
end up, but all I know is that the Knicks win,
I will be shouting from the rooftops.

And then last time they all decided to bet home runs,

I bought a ticket for eleven dollars. Yeah, one hundred section,
right behind home plate. That was the night before we
were there. It was awesome. I brought my friend from Brazil,
she was visiting. Yeah, and then she came and I
was like, we have to go to a game. So
we did that. And then the next day my friend
is a teacher in Brooklyn, and the Department of Education
was just handing out tickets in the two hundred section.
Speaker 3 (14:48):
Lucky, I gotta pay twenty five dollars around ticket? You know,
what do you mean?
Speaker 1 (14:52):
Twenty five dollars such a hard that's not a lot
but for that section.
Speaker 2 (14:56):
But when you pay like five bucks to go to
the game itself normally, like you know, feel like you're
spending big money.
Speaker 4 (15:01):
With literally I don't understand how you got the tickets
for twenty five dollars.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
Whoever was buying her tickets just that was the hookup
he got.
Speaker 4 (15:06):
How many people went?

There's four of us, so maybe either like a deal
or something.

But I look, when you're in the comm school at
Hofstra and you you know, sports people are around, you
will find tickets somehow.

Last year or last semester, I should.

Say, me and my roommate Mike went to a Mets
playoff game for only one hundred bucks each a ticket,
which sounds like a lot.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
But when it's like a playoff game right before the.

Series and you're playing the Dodgors, yeah, I mean we
had good seats Dodgers and then they got killed.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
She likes sports Dodgers. I've been to one game total.
I have one jersey. Whoa what jersey? It's just like
the general Dodgers, okay, like there's no name.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
On the banks, honestly universal.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
It was also nice that, like, no matter who won
this year, I could celebrate because I'm from LA and
I live in New York.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
I was the same way.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
So if if the Dodgers hadn't won, I would still
be going out and drinking, and yeah, it would have
been fun.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
Exactly now for this year.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
Although like I'm the biggest Yankees fan, like that was
my team as a kid, I would like always with
the I for them. Last year before the season, I
bet them and the Dodgers of Bob in the World Series,
So when they were playing each other, I was like,
I'm making money.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
That's all that matters to how lucrative is sports betting.
You have to be really good at it or could
I like be like three cents on this random thing
that could happen do.
Speaker 4 (16:20):
A little more than some cents dollars a dollar, But
you don't have to know everything to do it.
Speaker 5 (16:25):
M M. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
I have a tradition where I go to each game
and the people I go with we make I have
everyone choose one thing they think will happen in a game,
so they'll think, oh, someone gets a hit or something,
I'll put it all together and if we win it,
I then split the money with all of us, says
like hey, we're gonna go get like drinks or something.
And then last time they all decided to bet home runs,
so I was very sad. So it was it was
just never gonna hit. Yeah, if that five dollars thing, heyey,

I would have won twenty five hundred dollars. Totally totally
great chance. But yeah, no, Yankee game was great. Plus
my favorite part was just the fact the Nicks one
during it.

And they put it on this on the street.

Everyone started cheering.

More than the actual game that we were watching.

The Yankees were getting scored on and everyone's losing their minds.

the next have a nice day, and then he like hicked.

till like midnight doing that.
