Speaker 1 (00:03):
What would you talk about on your on your podcast?
Firm Elvis presents fifteen Minute Morning Show. Here it goes
a fifteen minute morning show podcast starring Gandhi and Scary

(00:25):
and Froggy. There's Garrett, there's Scotty Be, There's Danielle straight name,
and I'm Elvis. Hey, you're wondering. Hey. So I don't
know if you listen today on the show, but we
had Jimmy Fallon on who's hosting password tonight on tonight
on NBC, So we played around a password with him.
How much fun was that? I love all games? Games

(00:46):
are great. I grew up watching game shows. When I
was a kid. I'd come home after school and my
mom and dad weren't there, so I make a snack
and watch game shows. And uh, I just who doesn't
love game shows? Right when I was sick homes in school,
you would go through the entire cycle. It was like
classic concentration prices, right into the prices root press your

(01:08):
luck stop. Okay. So I don't know if you remember,
but in the old days of Wheel of Function, you
didn't win cash. You want an amount of money and
then you had to buy prizes with it. Dude, in
prizes a Hammond organ really a Dinet set and whatever
money and whatever money you had left over you you
put on a gift certificate or on account on account.

(01:31):
Oh wow, those are the old days. And then they
went and also on like the prices, right, didn't it
wasn't it all local like car dealerships from you know,
Gary Miller's Honda, kind of the West Coast price and
all that stuff. You were from New York. The prices
were very different, and they all had California mission. That's right.
I was watching the other night and uh god, what

(01:54):
was it? I think it was an old prices right,
And the next out of up forbid in the current
open a you know the model he's standing there, it's
it's a card table. I mean it was stuffed with no.
The thing is these were sponsors. They had a round
their stuff. This is the all free ship they could get, right, Well,
the one there was always the one great showcase showdown

(02:17):
and then the dude show always passed. The first one
always passed. The first one. Yeah, he's at the rule, yeah,
because the second one is a coming car a card table.
You watch some of the old ones and the new
card the cars look like you would never get near them.
It's just a box with wheels on. I heard Conditioning

(02:40):
on radio that then Prices Right that the wheel that
they spin is really freaking heavy. It's really heavy. It's
like hundreds of And I were lucky enough one time
to get drunk on the set of Prices Right. We
were there for the Hollywood Squares. Cuby was on Hollywood
Squares and it was the same exact set where Prices
Right was. So Henry Winkler was the producer, you know,

(03:02):
the Fonds was the producer for Hollywood Squares at the time,
and so he said, yeah, go go run free. So
we were drunk and we were running around taking pictures
of spinning the wheel. Spin the wheel. Yeah, we spun
the wheel and we stood behind the showcase show down dollars.
It didn't go very far because it was locked, so
you could you could feel how heavy it was. Who

(03:23):
was in charge of locking the wheel? You were to
say something, Garrett, I think you and I went to
a taping of Wheel of Fortune at Madison Square Garden
like years ago. We did. Yeah, I was there too,
Was I there? Yeah? I went to that. It was
a Madison Squard a couple of times. That wheel is
not heavy, though. The wheel of fortun wheels heavy. Toe.
We're talking the prices, prices, and your whole body has

(03:45):
to use your because if it doesn't go around one
entire food Yeah, and then if if you're watching and
somebody didn't make it go all the way around, you
be like, oh you wood. Yeah. Game shows are fun anyway,
but playing password with Jimmy was a lot of fun.
Would listen to me, You're on the game show, Daniel.
Oh that was years and years and knee and knees

(04:08):
ago the weakest link if first that now I like
her a lot. Scotty actually brought up. I was asking
Scotty because he's our resident game show expert. He said,
there was this game show called Sale of the Century premise.

(04:28):
The premise was so there were three contestants and you
would answer questions and each question you would get ten
dollars or fifteen or twenty dollars or whatever it was,
and then they would make you offers to buy things, like,
you know, you could have this for just seventeen dollars,
you know, and you would buy it with the money
that you accumulated. But the big winner would go to
the end and they'd be able to buy all this crap,
like you would get a BMW that was worth like
forty dollars at the time for the low low price

(04:51):
of six hundred dollars. So you had to keep coming
back at accumulating money and buying all these things on
the set, and there were punched cards. It was a
lot of fun. They should bring that show back. What
about all the old school stories about game shows that
were rigged? And I know there's a special out somewhere
on the streaming of about the prices right being rigged,
But that one was fregged. It wasn't. It wasn't that

(05:12):
it was rigged. It was that that was that guy
that remembered every single price and made a ledger and
wrote any the prices, the prices of all the all
the all the items up and there's and on press
your luck. There was a clear pattern to the way
that things would be and and and the guy knew
how to avoid the whammy he had. And even they
could never ever ever get this guy off the shows.

(05:32):
Another great documentary that's a that's a separate documentary talking
with him. They made time limits. You were only allowed
to be on for a certain number of shows. Was
the quiz show where there I think they actually did
prove there was some some shine. It's gonna movie out
of that was a question, right, it was a quick shows.
That was the movie. But the show, the actual show
was something thousand dollar questions with what's his name? The

(05:54):
c I a guy, Barry Goldwater. What's his name? No? No, no, no, no, no,
as a woman, I think so. He said he was
in the ciaver No, he said, just a killer. But
he was. Oh god, it's on the tip of my tongue.
He he was the game his tongue. He was the
game show host. But he said he was in the

(06:16):
FBI or something like that. They made that whole about him.
He also did uh he was on the dating game. Yeah,
very Goldwater with the Have you heard of any of
these shows at all? Yeah? Price is right, of course. Um,

(06:39):
Let's make a deal is a good one. Oh? What
was that? Was the one where you had to have
an egg in your purse or something like that? Yes?
What else? I mean? I love game shows. I just
my dream is to take my sister and go on
a game show tour. But I think I know some
of the more like the recent ones. I love Family Feud,
Stop till You Drop. I want to do that one
so bad. Here's the thing about game shows. They're really

(07:00):
aren't a lot of new ones. They're all like Back
from the Dead. That's a good one. But what was
the one I see here? We can't remember any names.
The one where they have all the balls at the
top of they all come down. You had a million
dollars dollars, No person like Chris. We've had them on
Lebron James produced it. Yes, I know you're talking about
the Blue and the Red Ball one. It's a new version.

(07:21):
It looks like Plinko, but it's the blue ball the wall.
That's that's an example of a new game show. But
most of them are just retreads, and the treads are good. Well,
Garrett and I were on Chain Reaction. That was I mean,
it seemed new because no one had ever heard of it.
But there was a show called Chain Reaction back in
the seventies, one of those you know, Alan Ludden or
whoever hosted it. But Garrett and I did. We did

(07:42):
pretty well. We were there with Cubby. We won a
couple of grand and we didn't realize we could have
been a part of a game show scandal to where
we had a right answer that that would have given
us a hell of a lot of money, and they
are like, nope, you're wrong, And then secretly we got
to check for like an extra five dollars in the
mail because if you watch, if you watch the episode
that we were in, this girl from Staaten Island was
on and the answer was Brandy Alexander, and she said Alexandra,

(08:05):
and they edited it out so you could see her
lips move, but there's no audio, and they gave it
to her. So if we would have lost, we would have,
you know, got a lawyer involved. We were ready everything. Yeah,
they still run it. It's on all the time. It
was on the other day, you guys were Someone sent
it to me. That's a controversial episode. I'm surprised they

(08:25):
still have it in the mix. What was classic concentration?
What's the difference between concentration and classic concentration? Password and
plus I think, but it was basically what was like
like memory you remember that game? It was alex the host.
I was watching that yesterday with Alex tret Really fucking

(08:46):
weird is this? And there's been with family feud. There's
been so many iterations with so many different hosts, like
what is it? Richard Dawson, Louis Anderson, Ray, Colmbs. I
think Steve Harvey is the best of the lot. I'm
the one that we have currently on the air right now.
He is the best, and it's gotten the pervist. I

(09:06):
love just floating through TikTok and seeing like some creepy
and you know question and answer. I'm like, why did
I listed that episode? I'm like, that's awesome. He was
also Richard carn and the guy Seinfeld. So many people
hosted that. Yeah, Louie Anderson, right, Louis Anderson. Yeah. Funny
story about Steve Harvey is that the one is dead now.
Louis Anderson's of a dead man guy was so Richard Dawson,

(09:30):
the original guy, was the original. He would touched them.
I'm like, what is this man doing. Here's a montage
if you do Richard Dawson kissing montage, it's all over
the web, you can check it out and it's just
a montage of him going waching the Richard Dawson episodes
last week and it's actually really creepy. Yeah, my son
was at work the other day and he sends me
a text. He's like, you're not gonna believe he was

(09:52):
in my store. It was Steve Harvey. Steve Harvey was
was shopping in the store that my son works at,
the PGA superstore, and uh, he was in there buying
golf clubs and everybody in the store was recognized him
and talking to him and everything else. What do you
think of Steve Harvey, Gandhi? I think he's great as
the family Feud host. I love him as the host
a family feud. Okay, well you know, I mean we've

(10:15):
all heard the stories about him behind the scenes. I
witnessed it. Okay, see ye wait wait we want we
both witnessed it. Yeah, but you know what I have.
We we all have days behind this. But you don't
write a letter and send it out the whole staff.
We don't talk to me. His facial expressions and body language, man,

(10:35):
I love it. I love when he does the long
stairs and the turns to the audience. It's great. He's
very good as a host on that show. There's so
quiet today, Gandhi. Well I don't because I don't want
to yell over anybody, you know, And I don't know
a lot of the shows that people are talking about.
Let's talk about something. Let's do the Gandhi conversation. We
don't have to do that. I want to. I want to.
I wanna Can we play password and here? Sure? So

(10:57):
somebody's gotta plug their ears Gandhi? Plug your ears? Okay?
Done here? Right here? Okay, okay, okay, ready, yes, okay
's a circus clown there. Okay. There's a couple of

(11:21):

but Nate and I can't play. We've seen the words,

(12:08):

seen the list down? Okay? Okay? Cover air, Scottie Okay, okay.

You can think of the Come on, you can do it? Chair?

(12:54):
What chair? Legs? Next? Danielle? Danielle? Belt? Can you do that? Belt? Don't? Don't,
don't explain it, just let her chair belt waste? What

(13:17):

I know, I know, okay, alright? Ready toilet? Oh seat? Yeah, yes,
you know. I couldn't even think of that. It seems
so easy, like toilet seat. I couldn't even think of that.

(13:37):
All right, who's turning? Is it? I think elvis or?
Who's going to cover their ear? And haven't I think
we've all done it, haven't we? Are we done? The words?
What was belt? The seat belt? And the way that
