Speaker 1 (00:00):
Our twenty twenty four iHeartRadio jingle Ball presented by Capitol One.
Of course, we're in the Mercedes been to interview lounge
with Megan Trainer. Hello.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Hi, Well you've had a year.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
I've had a year. I've been busy. You've been busy.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Well, you did the Timeless Tour. Yeah album, yes, the
uh did Jimmy fallon Christmas song?

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Yeah, yeah, we did it all.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
But you did something yesterday which scares the poop out
of me.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Yes, you did the entire State building. You did a
big thing there, slipped the thing. I put the lights on,
you turn the lights on. But you went up to
the tippy top of the building.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
I signed a paper and I'm not sure what. I
was like, where are we going to? Like, don't worry
sign this.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
I was told, you have to sign a way for
to go to that little balcony on the top, like
one hundred.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
And eight floor.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
No, they should have we should have been like wired up,
you know what I mean, Like it is very crazy,
but you weren't.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
We were not.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
No, And it was very windy, and I was like,
whoa life? And then the camera guy was like, do
something fun and I went back and was like yes,
and immediately he was like no, but he was like,
that was.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
The best shot of the day. Question for you?

Speaker 3 (01:05):
Yes, answer.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
What's more frightening trying to master the music business or
climbing to the one hundred and eighth floor of the
Empire State Building.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Honestly, it was pretty egal My good god. It's like
you keep going, it never stops, and you get up
there and it's pretty great, but then it's also scary
and cold, and then it's also amazing and the picture
is worth it.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
You know, I love your relationship with NBC. Thank you,
I mean, you know you. You wrote the song for
the Today Show makes Sweet Hoda with Hodah Love. Did
you cry watch?

Speaker 3 (01:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Yeah, I cried. My mother cried. But also Jimmy fallon.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Oh my, Jimmy, he's here. I saw him.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Are there any surprises on stage with you and Jimmy tonight?

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Tonight? There might be a surprise. We have a song together,
Wrap me Up. You play it all the time.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Thank you, You're welcome.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Thanks for playing it.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Keeps cash coming. We'll play that thing absolutely. It makes
Jimmy so happy. He's always wanted to be on the radio.
He and we give him a chance.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
We do it every year.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
He was like, Megan, you won't believe it. They're playing
it again.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
I was like, it's Christmas again.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
But just what we do in radio, we play the
songs over and over till people are ready to appear.

Speaker 2 (02:05):

her family for a moment. Shouldn't wait take a break? Oh?
