Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's Daniel and Gandhi live from the Mercedes Benz Interview
Lounds with the beautiful Tait McCrae. Lo Oh, my goodness,
you look incredible. Thank you you too, Thank you. So
we've got the album coming up in February. I mean,
how excited are you about the release?

Speaker 2 (00:14):
It's so crazy. It's coming up so soon. I can't
believe it's already December. But it'll be nice. I feel
like all these songs have been like building up for
a year, so I'm excited to get them out.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Nice.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
People are already buzzing about so close to what do
you want to give us a little inside infro and
what to expect? What your inspiration was about it?

Speaker 2 (00:32):
For it, I mean so much. I think every year
I go through like a different epiphany of what's going
on in my life. And I think age twenty one
was a particularly interesting age, just because I felt like
I wasn't a child anymore, but I also felt like
being an adult for the first time feels like you
kind of started like age one again and you have
to like restart life. So there's just a lot of

(00:53):
thoughts around that. And I think within relationships like falling
in Love Again and harp and yeah, there's there's a
lot of one on this year. So it's all just
about my life.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
And you're on the road and you're a very big
part of all of our My heart jingle balls, Right,
So do you have a like moment that sticks out
the most, like one that was most memorable so far.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
On tour the year? I mean, I I headlined MSG,
which is crazy. It was like big deal. It was
like the best end of my life is so fun.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
All right, So there's a lot coming up with the holidays.
You're also in New York City for the holidays at
the moment, Yah, is there something specific that you're excited
about or a tradition that you like to celebrate every year?

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Oh? I mean I'm like the biggest Christmas fan of
all time. Like as soon as Halloween was over, like
Christmas tree up in my living room, like every single
Christmas song playing. Yeah, screw Thanksgiving, my Canadian Thanksgivings in October.
I was done. But yeah, I mean I'm just excited
to go home see my family.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
Are you a corny Christmas movie person?

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Do you have favorites?

Speaker 2 (01:54):
I mean home alone is like that is not corny.
I didn't say it was corny.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Have you ever seen Daddy Home Too?

Speaker 2 (02:01):
I don't think so good.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
It's so good. It's so funny, Mark Wallgart, you have
to see it.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Okay, great, okay great.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
So now you're gonna be out there performing at Madison
Square Garden and headlining yourself, so you get a little
taste of it ahead of time. Like this, the feelings
what goes through your head?

Speaker 2 (02:19):
I mean, it's always like you black out for a
second and then you realize where you are and they're like,
oh wow, this is like the coolest feeling every I'm excited.
I'm excited to see what the crowd's like. And New
York always has the best.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
When they sing your lyrics back to you.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
What does that feel like? It's so hard to describe.
It's just the most validating feeling as an artist, being
like filled with so many doubts your whole career and
then seeing that is like, oh, it's like, this is
why I do all this?

Speaker 3 (02:45):
And everyone's here screaming for you. Are you out there
screaming for any of these other artists? Are you excited
to see some people?

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Yes? You know what? I actually just ran into Gracie.
We haven't seen each other in like two years, and
I've never seen her lot. Actually I have once, but
I'm excited to see her like now and i think
she's incredible, nice.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
All the time, very exciting.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
