Speaker 1 (00:08):
Advice Shooter's.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Welcome to the Naughty but Nice your host Rob Shooter.
And it is Monday. I love a Monday. Anything could
happen this week. I'm full of optimism. Anything could happen.
You could meet your new best friend this week. You're
really good. You could fall in love this week. Yes,
anything could happen, including to our dear friend Garrett Vogel,
who joins us. Hey, Garrett, are you there? Well?
Speaker 1 (00:35):
Hello birthday boy?
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Thank you darling.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
It was quite the weekend of Yeah, I know, the
weekend and week of celebrations. Are you Are you the
type of person that goes it's my birthday month and
we have to bow down to you all month long?
I mean rightfully. So your birthday was in the middle
of the week.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
I think it was on a Tuesday. I'm actually the opposite.
I forgot what day it was. I'm quite happy having
a birthday moment, a birthday hour, birthday two hours. But
I don't need it to be a whole week month celebration.
And I'm not putting people down who like that. Enjoy it,
Enjoy your birthday. It's never been such a big deal
(01:12):
for me. And I can say this now naughty. It's
because you were so kind, your messages were lovely, your
texture DMS, thank you, they really were lovely. However, I'm
not the biggest birthday fan. Where are you on this garret?
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Yeah no, I'm a give me a day and maybe
an hour here or there, and you know, give me
a fudgy the whale cake and blow out the candles
and have a nice day. Over the last five years,
I've gotten to the point where I forget the age.
Like one year I thought I was older than I was.
I'm like, I just got three hundred and sixty five
days back, Like, no way, I mean, come on.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
I'm not. I like it. I had a really, really
wonderful time. I think this is where I want to
land on this. I've created a life that is so
great for myself that every day feels like a birthday,
like it really does. The day before my birthday, I
had a great day. The day after my birthday, I
(02:09):
had a great day. So I don't know with my
birthday was any more special than all the other brilliant
days I have. I want everybody listening to have a
life where every day it feels like your birthday. Okay,
let's jump into ashow. What time is it, my friends,
it's tea time. A little bit of bad news here,
but I think it's good news to Kate Middleton has
(02:30):
treated from the public eye after her Wimbledon appearance. We
saw Kate at Wimbledon, that purple dress, looking fantastic, But
now she's going to disappear, at least for the rest
of the summer. So according to a royal source, the
recent appearance at Wimbledon will be her final public engagement
of the season. They say the following quote, Wimbledon is
(02:53):
always the Princess of Wales's last engagement of the summer.
She will not she will not be attending any more
public events for the remainder of the summer. This is
significant because Kate is still still fighting cancer that is
not yet over with, and so she's going to take
(03:15):
a little step back. Now. How do you feel about this, Garrett.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
Yeah, I mean it's one of those weird things where
people feel like, I think they have the inkling to judge,
but then you realize she's going through something beyond life
changing and it's like we almost have to step back
for a second and go, hey, let her, let her
do her time, on her time, not not the not
(03:40):
the public's time, not the palace's time, but but her time,
you know. And I think that's one thing that we
all have to realize that we're all humans at time.
We're not robots, you know, like we feel we bleed,
you know, and sometimes you just need to give yourself
a time out from time to time and rest.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
Rest up. Everybody, It's really really important. Sometimes the day
doing nothing is exactly the sort of day that you need.
I was really interested in this way. I hit the
phones and I spoke to my royal sources, and they said, ironically,
she looked so good at Wimbledon that it is now
not helping her. She looked so good that now people think,
(04:19):
oh she's back. Everything was normal. There's nothing. There was
not even a glimpse of what she was going through
behind the scenes. And so when you see somebody looking
that magnificent, you think it's all over, We're out of
the woods. Everything's great now. The cover of the book
can be quite deceiving. She really sucked it up for
(04:40):
that day. I'm told she had a good day. I'm
told the next day she was exhausted. And so let's
all cut Kate a break here, and remember when you
see people, that is only a small percentage of their
whole story. When you see somebody with the big smile
on the face, it doesn't necessarily mean that happy all
the time. And I think the same is true with
(05:03):
Kate here, Garrett, do you think it was a mistake
for her to go to Wimbledon, because now we've all
seen her, we want more. We want more, not in
a bad way, in a good way, but we do
want more.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
Well, you know, it's a I guess a yes and no,
you know type type answer because we wanted to see her,
but we also knew she was going through a lot.
But yet now that we saw her, we want more
of her. But it's also on the public's side. That's
exactly what you want. You want to give people a
little taste. You don't want to give them the whole plate.
You want to give them a little appetizer and then
(05:36):
kind of set them up for a big reveal down
the road of like, you know, like her event her
going to Wimbledon, just kind of like, hey, she's there,
I expect you know, the Palace has some idea of
doing a big to do somewhere down the road where
the spotlight is solely on her and not not the
(05:56):
tennis Championship of the.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
W Yes, although I've got to say I can't remember
who won the match because.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
I was Kate, So congratulations to whoever it was. You're fabulous,
you did well. You've practiced your whole life only to
be upstaged by the princess terrible.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
Okay, this brings us to our pole question of the day.
Kate Middleton is retreating from the public eye after Wimbledon.
Are you disappointed? Yes and no. You can be disappointed
here and not be a bad person. I've got a
I'm a bit disappointed in this. I absolutely know why,
and I even support why.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
But I know how you're voting.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
I know votes and not too nights rare, but a
Facebook page, which is naughty gossip. And be sure to
check back tomorrow to hear your results. Hey Garrett, what
are you working?
Speaker 1 (06:49):
It's crazy to think that it's been about a week
since we Like, the news cycle is so weird, you
know what I mean? Like, all it takes is a
lot of things to happen for you to forget, like
something happened last week the passing of Richard Simmons. So
here's here's something interesting. Though. His staff just revealed that
he he worked on his last you know post ever,
(07:10):
and this is what his staff said, goes from Richard staff, Hello, everyone,
Richard worked very hard on his post for you across
social media. He had many ideas, worked, worked and would
work ahead just like many of us should, going back
to each one making changes until he had it just
like he wanted before posting, kind of like we all do.
You know, we all put we all put that certain
(07:31):
filter on to make us look a little bit younger,
like Benjamin Button. But in the photo you could see
him donniah an orange NASA astronaut suit, which is so great.
I mean, you see how old Richard Simmons was, and
you'd be like, oh, he should just be He's still
acting like he's a kid, you know what I mean.
He's still having fun about it, probably standing with a
(07:53):
vibrra backdrop. You know, his hair adds a touch of
dignity to you know that that big smile that he had.
And then the caption of course with the photo was
written by Richard himself just days before he passed away,
and it said, let me fly you to the moon
so we can gaze among the stars.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
Love hys fabulous, It's fabulous. His staff said that he
really agonized over these social media posts.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
This was just so crazy.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Yeah, he loved it. He loved social media. But I
think if you withdraw from the public spotlight, this becomes
your only voice in that rod of celebrity. And so
he was very precise about them. I'm told he planned.
He planned his posts days weeks in advance. He would
go back and edit them and just make sure that
the wording was just perfect, which is why we have
(08:43):
this post. He has this fabulous photography. He does look
great in it. I love the gray hair, I love
the big smile. This was scheduled to be posted and
then he passed away, and so his team had to
decide do we want this to be the final message
from from Richard? Is this him talking beyond the grave?
(09:04):
I say yes, because he scheduled this. It wasn't that
they put it up without his permission. It wasn't like
they added a caption that wasn't his. This was Richard's words,
It was Richard's face. More importantly, it was his idea, Garrett,
where are you on this. Should they have posted it?
Should they not have? I?
Speaker 1 (09:23):
I think I think it's okay, you know, I think
it It could be a little interesting where, you know,
let's say he planned the whole year ahead, you know
what I mean, and you know things are still going
to get posted because they were scheduled by him, and
you know, obviously no longer around to hit send. You know,
his staff could still publish those and feel like he's
(09:46):
still around, you know, and you won't have that feeling of, oh,
Richard's government, you have that like, wow, he's he's still
he's still connecting to with us beyond the grave.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Yeah. Yeah, I like him. I met him several times.
He was a good guy. I remember my friend Joan
River passed away and Melissa used Joan's social media after
shep rast But it wasn't Joan, it was Melissa, And
so I followed Joan and she kept popping up in
my feed and it was these sort of it didn't
(10:16):
sit very well with me, Garrett. They were selling QVC stuff.
They were using Joan's accounts and millions of followers after
her death to try and sell us something. And that's
when it felt.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
Like, oh yeah, yeah, when you do that. Yeah, there
there are there are lines that you probably shouldn't cross.
And I get you know, Joan was a name and
a big business and it's hard to just go, okay,
gonna close up shop now she's no longer with us.
You know, you kind of want to continue it, but
I'm sure you know again, it's a there's no right answer.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
You know.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
Everybody's trying, you know, trying to find their own way
of you know, making it work.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
You know.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
So I mean, if we start seeing workout videos being
sold by Richard Simmons, then you know you and I
have you and I have to hit on phone.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
Yes you know, yes, yes, yes, Okay, moving along, talking
about social media. Did he's back on Instagram talking about
his daughter's birthday so amid the sex trafficking investigation which
is going on. It's really really ugly allegations. His eldest daughter, Chance.
I've met her many times. She's a lovely young lady.
(11:24):
She turned eighteen, so he wrote, my baby girl turned eighteen.
I'm so proud of you, Chance, I love you, and
then he added a picture of Chance and himself. It's
always about puffy oh theo huff. Now, Chance is attending
NYU's Tish School for Arts, and she did respond, thank you,
(11:44):
I love you. I think this is a moment when
we should appreciate the fact that we have each other,
sell numbers, each other's emails. We didn't have to do
this publicly. A lot of times, when it's my friend's birthdays,
I don't believe a mess on their social media. I
text them and so if you've got my phone number,
(12:05):
if you've got.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
My email, it means something.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
Yeah. It just this to me feels like being a
show pony. This is Diddy telling the world that he's
a good dad amid all this awful stuff. It's almost
like he's using his eighteen you're with her, Yes, you're
sitting next to her, like me and you would be
sitting next to each other on the subway. They're sitting
next to each other in eventley. But nevertheless, you are
(12:28):
with her. Can't you just turn to your left and
say happy birthday? Do you have to do this on
social media? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (12:33):
And especially like she's eighteen, so it's not like she's
ten years old and social media is brand new, and
it's like, oh, look, my dad's very popular. She knows
what her Dad's been going through, especially over the last
you know, twelve months, and it's like one of those Dad,
I don't even.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
Want to be putting this position at the minute. People
do this. You don't have to be a celebrity to
be a show pony on social media. In fact, I
would argue it's turned a lot of us into these
sight of clowns, these characters.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
These some dance monkey day, just dance.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
I want attention. I want to prove that I'm a
good person. Do you ever do that? Do you over
like things because you're trying to impress somebody? So, for instance,
do you always I if you bost posts a picture,
is someone you work with posts a picture, are you
the first to like it? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (13:21):
You kind of, well, you kind of do. And I
think it's more it's more because of the friend's side
of it than just like a like, I'm gonna like
it just to like it because you know it's you know,
I have to, or also it's gonna be awkward at work. No,
I think the majority of times, probably ninety nine percent
of the time, it's a it's a pure like and
(13:43):
then after that maybe a once or twice, you know,
if it's you know, just the air. Here's what I'm having,
you know, out of the club. You know, like, okay, great,
good freez.
Speaker 2 (13:53):
It never worked for me. I keep liking Madonna's posts
and she's not yet called me. I don't rude, rude, rude. Okay,
moving along, before we get a break, we have a
Madonna story. It's about her son, David. What's going on
with him?
Speaker 1 (14:05):
Yep. So, in a shocking revelation, madonna son David, has
confessed to scavenging for food in the streets of New
York City after moving out of his mother's Upper east
Side apartment. Picking out food in New York City in
general is just now have I had the wayward? I've
(14:25):
put a box of pizza in the trash, and I've
walked by and go uh and I pick it out,
but it's in the box of trash. I've done it.
I've had it. But it's kind of interesting. During an
Instagram live session, David opened up about his new gritty lifestyle.
You got to think that has to be a phase.
He's gone through a phase where he doesn't want to
(14:47):
seem like he's living that lavish lifestyle and normal. But
when you're literally saying you're eating off the streets. It
makes you sound worse than it actually is.
Speaker 2 (14:56):
I think personally it's frustrating because this is a rich
person playing being poor, and there really are poor people
like that. There are people. It's a face that's just
a it's a little hobby. It's like taking up tap
dancing for three weeks. It's just a little hobby because
for him, this is a fun thing to experience and
let me, let me find out what it's like to
(15:16):
feel poor. But then at any minute, when he is
hungry or he needs to get a bath, he can
check into the Four Seasons, like he's got his mom's
credit card.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
So part of me is that, like, where did he
move out? He moved out of the house. He had
to move somewhere.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
He's not living on the street's living with his girlfriend.
I think they are on the I think they're in Brooklyn.
Madonna has that opulent mansion, like a fifty million dollar
mansion on the Upper East Side, and so she's worth
about eight hundred and fifty million dollars. So I do
admire David for trying to make his own living, if
that's indeed what he's doing here. I don't admire that
(15:49):
he's sort of flirting with being poor, Like this is
like a little little test, little hobby. Let me try
a Swberry ice s creen, Let me try vanilla today,
let me try chocolates. Tom feels like it's he's almost
glorifying the fact that a lot of people do not
have a choice about this. People are poor, people have
to search for food. People, there is a there is
(16:10):
a hunger crisis in America, and it feels like he's
doing it to be chic. Nah, I don't like it. Okay,
we're gonna take a quick break and we will be
right back. Welcome back to the naught to put my show.
I'm not ro pro shooter. If our dear friend Garrett vocal, Hey, Garrett,
let's get to the polls that are dug. Last show,
Prince Harry was revealed to be looking for new material
(16:33):
for Spare Part two, the paperback. So he's not doing
another book. But when you when you have a huge
book that comes out, it's in hard copy, in hardcover,
then it goes to paperback, you normally add a chapter
or you updated. So the reports are that Harry is
really searching for new sensational material for the book. I
question was quite simple, would you read another book by
(16:55):
Harry Let's have a look. Oh? Seventy percent said no,
you're done. You read the first one. You thoroughly enjoyed it.
I did too, But if it was worth telling, he
would have told it by now. I don't think he's
sitting on any big secrets. And if he was sitting
on secrets, he wouldn't have to be searching for secrets.
It's like when Pump Stars put out the songs that
(17:16):
didn't make it onto their album. No, they didn't make
it on for a good reason. They weren't. They weren't
that great. So I don't want the leftover stories, the
leftover songs.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
Yeah, no, that's where you get the target special. You know,
you get the three extras.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
The bonus. He's not such a bonus. Nobody wanted it. Okay,
don't forget to vote on today's Paul page naughty nice role,
but a Facebook page naughty gossip. I'm be sure to
check back to my right to hear your results. And
now it's time for our nicest stuff the day.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
Yes, so we turned to John stay Moosik Uncle Jesse
from Full House, and he credits his therapist for saving
his life. He goes, I probably wouldn't be here without him,
and he opened up in an exclusive interview at page
six about how grateful he was to his longtime therapist.
And you know, after saying he probably wouldn't be here,
(18:10):
he gained a wider recognition through the documentary that Jonah
Hill did back in twenty twenty two, and it has
been a constant support for John Stamos over the past
two decades. He's been helping me get sober. And he
emphasized the crucial support that Struts the therapist has provided
him during his battle of alcohol addiction. And you know,
(18:33):
John Stamos actually went through a lot. You know, he
had DUI back in twenty fifteen, you know, and he did,
and he talked about all this in his in his book,
and one one month after his arrest, he took the
step that I think a lot of people do after
having that that eye opening wake up moment, saying that
he needs to get some help. So that's where he
(18:53):
entered the program and started started turning his life around.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
Good for John, I met him several times. My goodness
is a good looking man and icist after day I'm
a good guy too, and now I noticed the day
nineteen naughty Naughty Army Hammah is still doing interview, still
talking out. It was asked about the rumors if Robert
Danny Junior paid for his rehab. He said no, he
did not, So it almost feels like now it's a
little bit of shade to Robert. Stop talking Army. I
(19:18):
know that you are on sort of a comeback tour.
I get it. I get you want your career back.
I get you on your life back. You're going about
it the wrong way. My friend zip It and naughtyist
of the day. Let's end with a moment a round.
You're gonna rub you, gonn rub. I am zero fear
saying I don't know. I have zero fear in asking
for help. I didn't used to always be that way.
(19:40):
I used to live in fear that I would be
exposed for being a fraud, for not knowing the answer.
I'm not a fraud. I'm really good at this, but
I don't know everything because I'm a human being, and
you don't know everything either, even if you are the
best expert in the field. I want you to get
really comfortable. Naughty is saying I don't know. Hey, that
(20:04):
is it for today. Thank you so much for listening
to The Naughty but Nice with Robin Garrett Show, a
production of iHeart Radio. Don't forget to subscribe on the
iHeartRadio app Apple Podcast. Wherever you listen, leave us a

Speaker 2 (20:26):
Take care everybody.
Speaker 1 (20:29):
It's starting but Nice with ra
