Speaker 1 (00:02):
What would you talk about on your on your podcast
firms minute Morning Show. Every day after the radio show,
we do the fifteen minute morning Show podcast, which we're
doing right now. And we ended the show at ten o'clock.
It's now ten oh four New York City time. We're

(00:23):
a little late. We're a little late. I'm looking up
at the text messages and people are texting us knowing
that we're doing it. I guess they want to. They're
trying to get on the show. Should we call someone back?
Should we try to get him on straight name? Yeah,
they want to, They want to come on here. They're
giving us topics social media. Which one can you live without?
Drunk on Halloween? What's the last thing you remember? Oh?

(00:46):
I have a good one? Oh? That's all the same
person to text you have a good one? One? I
have a good one. Hang on, let me find it
really quick. I thought a good topic. Okay, well look
for that anyway for the fifty minute Morning Show podcast.
Bethany is here putting on our makeup. Yes, getting ready
for our other show we're doing after this show. This
is like a network and they're scary. Who could use

(01:06):
some of Bethany's makeup? Gotta be honest. I know you
told me to come sit on the couch, and now
I'm like, I'm not like camera ready, No, you will
be so, Bethany, you and I are hosting Scary on
the Couch on the on my heart. Now the video Facebook?
What is it called on Facebook? Watch? Yes? And Brodie's
here and there's Garrett and Danielle just joined us and

(01:29):
straighten Ate straightens her High Street name. I was looking
for a topic. Straighten Nate has been a little even
sleepy all week. Are you staying up all night? Make
it out with your girl? I have been not sleeping
very well. I don't know why. A little of that,
but I still have that bruised rips so I can't
sleep on my one side, so every time I roll

(01:49):
over in the middle of the night, I wake myself up.
Have you built the home replica of this studio so
you could have sex in all this studio at home? Wow?
What a bold move. So, so, I have noticed you've
been sleepy all week. I have been I haven't sleeping.
Are you okay? Not for you? You need to talk
about anything right now? You want to talk about your feelings? Yeah?
You having second thoughts? About certain things. I think. I

(02:14):
think it's getting so serious, and he's He's like, okay,
let's let's keep this in mind. He they moved in
with each other, and I'll make me I just be honest.
I'll be Elvis frank though he's nice. I it was
my suggestion that you not move in with each other

(02:37):
quite so early. How can I ask how long you
were dating? Because that's six months. But here's here's the thing.
I tried to explain this and you wouldn't listen. So
her lease was up, and then she works in Connecticut,
so she was going to move back to Connecticut after
her lease was up, so I was never going to
see her. Okay, the scariest thing is this is exactly

(02:59):
my story. Sheldon and I were dating for six months.
He had a house in Connecticut and I lived with
a friend here and we weren't seeing each other and
it was ridiculous with the hours. So we wound up
getting an apartment in Jersey together after six months, and
it was cheaper, and we were just like, you know what,
it's cheaper for both of us. We took a chance.
But I've been married a long time and together a
long time. See and that's my hope, right, So that

(03:22):
that's why I did what I did. If your girlfriend
went to Connecticut, would that have been the end of
the relationship. I don't think it would have worked. I
would have never seen all right, So you rolled the dice,
all right? Then who am I to say? Working? Right? Yea,
so far it is working and you know, okay, And
another strike against me on this one is who's to
say that they could have dated for fourteen years and
then moved in with each other and it still could

(03:43):
have been a disaster. So I don't know. Yeah, all right,
I rolled the dice. It's it's it's working out, and
it's a least. It's not like you bought a house. Yeah,
that's what I tell myself. Yeah, did you keep your
apartment downtown? Because he kept he kept his emergency apartment.
I did for two months because I didn't know what
was going to happen. That one's gone now your safety safety. Yes,

(04:04):
nothing says confidence more than it's it's it's it's working out. No,
no thanks, Larry David pretty okay. It makes him overnight
every single night, And you know what I'm doing that
it's because I don't want to get ahead of myself
and say it's going great, because I don't want to
jinx anything, and I'm not a superstitious person, but I

(04:26):
was calling, well, you wouldn't be able to jink, it
would just go well. Sometimes being a guy who's been
in many long term relationships, one better than all the others.
You know what, The best time we were having I
was having in a relationship is when I wasn't thinking
about if it was good or bad. It was just happening.
It was happening, and it was everything was right, and
he just fell into place, and you know, it wasn't

(04:46):
extraordinarily like sunshiny bluebirds flying around me days, but it
wasn't hell. Well. Yeah, we were having this conversation the
other day, me and my girlfriend, and she wanted to
talk more about the future, about we're doing next year.
I'm I just kind of want to focus on now.
I can enjoy now, but people who want to look

(05:07):
at the future. Some people want to know, you know,
how their life is going to be a year from now,
five years, tenures. I'll take a peek at the future
every once in a while, but I'm not going to
stare at it every day, right yeah. I mean there
are certain things you you need to talk about, Like
there I've talked about this before, the fact that I
don't want children, that's something that has to come up
pretty quickly. And there was a guy that I was dating.

(05:27):
We've been dating for like a week, it was, it
had been official for one week and the next week
we were like, we got to talk about this and
he wanted kids immediately, and that end of the relationship.
Is that the person I'm thinking of? No, you never
met him. This was the four I think your soul
mate and got away because you didn't want children. That's
why I think which one you want? The four kids? Yes?

(05:50):
He is, So you're Jack straight night. So have you
guys talked about kids? And how did that conversation? So
do you both see I don't want kids. I'm like
Bethany and you. I don't want kids never ever. I
don't ever see myself having Okay, So for right now,
you're thinking, so she's of the same viewpoint, is the

(06:13):
same opinion she doesn't want kids, but she's also getting
towards an aide where age where she knows that she
shouldn't have kids after that, right, I not saying she's
old or anything, but she's not eight something. No, But
I think she's getting at that age where she knows
that she needs to have them now or it's never
gonna happen. Do you know that? So she even though

(06:35):
she doesn't want kids, she knows that, Okay, this is
my last chance, this is the last time I can
get off the highway on this exit. I got plenty
of But we did that with our second We we
didn't know if we wanted a second kid. Now I
can't even think about what it would be like without him.
But and I said the same thing, and I said,
all right, if we're going to do this, we need

(06:56):
to do this because we're not getting any younger. So
I want to do it now when it happens energy
for the damn kids. So that's when we decided to
do it. But yeah, I totally feel that. I'm getting
a text from my friend Geore on the show today.
We're talking about people that you're friends with only online,
and you're kind of afraid to be friends with him
in person because online is great. Why don't I want

(07:17):
to screw that up? He just said, hey, let's all
get together. You know, Tommy and I are usually free
Tuesday through Friday after seven and brunch dinner weekends. No, No,
you're busy every day for the foreseeable future. Talk about it,
because if you hang out with him, it's going to
ruin everything. It's like in Sex in the City of
the movie when Mr Big proposed the wedding fell apart,
just crying in the middle of the street in a

(07:38):
beautiful bird hat. And then they realized that, like things
had been fine, and then they went ahead and got married,
and it ruined. Married to him. Tell him you won't
get Tell him he's already married. Text him and say
we cannot get friend married. He's happily married, and here
they're great, my friend married. I mean you can never
meet in person. Tell him he's ruining everything. Well, what

(07:58):
if he's better than you spect him to be via text?
You know what I mean? So you you you get
you go hang out. He's even better than when you're
dressed texting with you. You're taking a chance here, you
know we are, We're fine online, just saying hi every
once in a while, passing in the not a worthwhile thing.
You're not getting an incredible amount of positives from this.

(08:19):
It's a casual thing. The upside is, like Garrett said,
much higher, that you might hit it off, and if
you don't, you ruin the friendship. You've lost a texting friendship,
but you might be getting a friend for life if
you meet him now. This is like meeting your heroes,
the person that you've admired your whole life, Like I
met Christopher Cross, total butt hole, like the guy could
not have been meaning to him, and you wanted to
be friends with Christopher? Friends with Christopher? Should I call

(08:41):
him right now that while you cry every time the
song comes on? Hold on, I'm gonna call GeOH. I
thought you were going to call this is his last
name Storm because scary sponsors that. Hold on, Hey, Geo,
I'm in a room full of people, so don't say
anything embarrassing. Okay, so we all we all agree that
that I think we should never ever meet, like you

(09:03):
and Tommy and I should never meet and be friends
in person. We should just be friends online. You know
what I'm saying. But they're all saying that. Some of
them are saying we should take a chance and we
should all be friends. Let's do it now. I don't know.
I'm afraid I'm afraid it's gonna ruin everything. Hold on, Beth,
and he's speaking to the microphy. So there's also, Geo,
there's also a problem here, and that if Elvis ever

(09:25):
meets you in person. First of all, he's going to
be profoundly distracted by your perfectly white, perfectly straight teeth,
and so you'll get nowhere. Um. But second of all,
you guys have such a good thing going on text
that if you meet in person you might ruin a
beautiful text relationship. Yeah, it's true. He sounds like a

(09:47):
cool guy, the real estate guy. No, no, there's not
real estate anyway. Can you guys, you know, can you
guys not communicate without being able to send emojis to
each other? We're not We're just an emoji friendship. All right. Well, Geo, look,
I'm gonna let you go. You and Tommy have a
great weekend, and we'll talk online soon. I like his voice,
all right, I'll talk to you like storry to bother you.
If you meet him in person, you can hand him

(10:08):
a real egg plant. I don't send egg plants of relationship.
He is happily married. I'm in a relationship. That's not
what it iss true. Though, that we all take a
little piece of something from everyone in our lives, and
so you don't have to have that aspect of the
relationship with Geo. So you don't have to meet him already.

(10:30):
Are getting something from the type of relationship you have
with it is what it is. The hit man that's
che just let leave leave it alone. You probably know
who he is, but it doesn't matter. Elvis, are you
scared if you met Geo that you wouldn't be able
to hold the conversation you do via text with him
face to face? I don't know, because you know the text.
You know, texting and having conversation face to face are

(10:52):
two different things, of course they are. You do like
to end conversations when you want to end conversations, and
you can't do that in person. Goodbye. Oh see, I'm
just trying to do that. You spread way too thin. No,
you are your spread I think that the nice thing
about it is that GEO and Tommy are like, you know,
they're there, and you can handle the amount of them

(11:14):
that you have in your life right now. And then
if for some reason someone in your life like You're like,
we're not friends anymore. Now you have this opening that
if you have free time, then they can slide in.
You guys can all hang out. But right now you
have what you can handle. It's good like scary. Yes,
you have no business raising a dog or a cat,
but you can handle a plant maybe as long as

(11:35):
it's okay a succulent. See, that's what's speaking for every
speaking for everyone who has a relationship that's like not
a full blown relationship. You're fun that you're getting what
you need out of exactly you're getting all you need
from a cactus. True. You know, I did have a
Bond's eye tree once, and even that died, so I

(11:57):
don't know if I'm even capable. They can be tough.
Pet rock that died, I mean, I took it home.
I'm rehabilitating. I'm working on it. Brought that bombs back
to life. That thing was it was a conner anyway.
You're not supposed to let the soil go dry. Ever,
and the soil was dry always, And there's how many
of us in this room and none of us could wait.

(12:18):
I thought we were straight night. We're supposed to call
the person who was texting they want to be on
the show. Side checked by your Reddit topic and then
we never went to the reddit topic. All right, he's
gonna try to get the texture by left. Look at
two and a half minutes were good? Did Geo and
Tommy are they happy with this relationship because it sounds
like he wants to meet you? I guess I don't know.
We don't know each other that one. Do they know

(12:39):
who you are? Do they know? Absolutely no, They just
went on a podcast with somebody. Don't know. Maybe they
don't know who he is. And they're both you know,
doing well in their own industries. Yeah, they do well.
I will say he picked up in one ring though, Yeah,
what does that mean? Like he was waiting all day? Scary?
When scary calls, I give it a few rings. I
don't go, oh, scary Hello, Okay is calling? Maybe he

(13:03):
wants to meet No, you come up. You come to
a point in your life where you don't play games
with your phone. If its and you want to talk
to me, answer and if you don't want to enter it,
you don't answer scary calls. I like voicemail. That's not
playing a game. That's like, you know, you don't want
to talk to me. But there's usually a ring and
a half where you go, oh, it's yeah, you have
to give it a minute or two he because you're

(13:23):
not sure if like you can devote the time or
if like dwynemute, do I owe him something? Because now
it's not a good time to talk about money, like
you think about it. That guy didn't think about it's
like and there's also people who you know it takes
more time, like one of my friends Karen. I know
that if I pick up the phone to talk to her,
I need to give her more time because I know
we're gonna be on the phone for like scary You
can't answer the phone and scary call unless you have

(13:43):
an hour. It is true. I like to express myself
with words of all right, So we have today's phone
call for the fifteen minute Morning show podcast. Who is it? Hey?
What's your hi? Want? You? Can you hear this? Let's
play this out? Let's play this? Can you hear us? One? Yes,

(14:10):
we're hearing everything. Okay, So here's one's topic for today. Uh,
sunset or sunrise? Go sunrise? Sunrise? Scarier? Suro? Is that sunset?
That Garrett? Sunset? Yeah? I love sunrise and sunset equally

(14:30):
fair say that one. Sunsets are much better than sunrise.
See we heard that? Now? Why why is that one? Hello? Horrible? What?
Thanks for chicken? Alright? Fifty minute morning show podcast. We're done.

(14:53):
Who's gonna be on the phone tomorrow? Will you be
the lucky one? Fifteen minute morning show
