Speaker 1 (00:01):
Put your head us together, and we're going to start
to party.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Start.

Speaker 3 (00:05):
I'm ready to party.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
The Elvis Duran After Party.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Welcome to the podcast, The After Party Podcast. And uh,
we got a full house. We've got Danielle and Gandhi
and there's straight and eight Scottie B in the Serial
Killers podcast room. And I see Scary and Garrett. Let's
do it. Let's have a podcast. Hey, did you see
this story in the in page six in the New

(00:37):
York Post today about Ritney Spears' ex husband Sam talking
about what was most ridiculous about his relationship while they
were married.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
I did not what was it?

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Well, he thought we would be the fame and how
weird it would be dealing with her fame and all that.
He said, the weirdest thing was dealing with the fact
that she was over eighteen, she still needed permission from
her parents to do anything. Yeah, she's a part of
the conservatorship, right right. He said he felt like the
only thing he could do was support her and be
there for her. But he said living with that was

(01:08):
the most difficult thing. Can you imagine, no, having like,
whatever rule she had to follow, he had to follow.
So what a marriage that would be. What do you think.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
I wonder if she had to ask her parents or
her dad if he could move in with her, you
know what I mean, Like, she she's almost forty years
old and goes, can Sam move in with me?

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Dad? Her husband?

Speaker 4 (01:30):
Yeah, I think she did.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
I think she had to ask for every single thing.

Speaker 5 (01:33):
And then as soon as that conservatorship was over, it
was very obvious what was keeping them from actually getting
married because then they got married immediately, and then she
got pregnant and lost the baby according to her, and
then they got divorced and he left wildly.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Yeah, yeah, you know what, he didn't really throw any
kind of negativity at it. He left gracefully.

Speaker 6 (01:53):
He actually said, I think in the article something about
like that, he's not sad that it happened. That he's
happy that it happened. He's happy that they had all
these amazing moments that they did have. You know that
they had a great relationship. They dated for a lot
of years.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
And he asked for no money, nothing. He just left.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Yep. Huh, when they go low, we go high. Unless
you're a Gandhi's friend, can we talk about that? You
actually mentioned that on our big show today. How your
good friend was fired.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
On a Friday, A Friday night, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
A Friday night, and he let it go for a
second and then came back to you and said, you
know what, Gandhi fuck him. I'm gonna let him know
what I'm thinking. I'm gonna give him a piece of
my mind. And he did. He went back and went
all toxic on the X boss. Yeah, and it said
he said he made him feel great.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
He did because it was one of those things where
I said, let me ask you this, if you do that,
do you think it's going to make you feel better?
And he said, yeah, I do. So I was like,
I co signed this, do it? And then he did it.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
I asked, did it make you feel better? He said,
fuck yeah, did wow?

Speaker 3 (02:49):
I do exactly?

Speaker 7 (02:49):
Do you know?

Speaker 3 (02:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (02:50):
Well, I mean I didn't read the entire message, but
it was long and it was basically, your terrible boss.
You exploited all of us, you took advantage, worked us
extra through the holidays, waited until right after the holidays
to fire people.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Fuck you, you fucking suck. I was like, yeah, wow,
there you go.

Speaker 6 (03:06):
We've had people here who wanted to poop on the
re member of the boss.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
They didn't, they didn't go, they didn't.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
I'll talk.

Speaker 7 (03:11):
There's something to be said for going lower kind. I
kind of respect that. I mean, you know, I I'll
take the high road. But in this case, sometimes the
person who isn't you know, who fires you, or the
person that needs to know that there are issues there.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
And this guy needed to know all the ship that
was wrong, that maybe he would become a better person
and correct himself going far. Now, let me correct it
if you If you think your boss was a piece
of ship telling them that it's not going to change anything,
really you have to go to their boss about that.

Speaker 6 (03:41):
Yes, I going in for a recommendation, though I don't
think I.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Did you ever want to stick it to him? Though?
Just no, No, you know, you know my my stamps
on this is it's it's negative energy. I don't need,
you know, if they don't want me there, I don't
want to be with them anyway. So I'm gone. I'll
find something better, and I always have so yeah. No,
you know, the old running the key down the side
of some guy's car because he was an asshole to me.
I mean, I don't get any satisfaction out of that,

(04:07):
but I can see how you know it could I
could be a fleeting thought, like if I did want
to like funk with him, what would I do? But no,
I never have. It's a good quick kie. It's a
good quick eye to have.

Speaker 7 (04:17):
I want to vent sometimes, you know, you want to
vent and this guy blew off steam.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Yeah, he probably feels better.

Speaker 5 (04:23):
If he does feel better, I don't think you change anything,
but he feels better.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
I had this happen to me in reverse.

Speaker 8 (04:28):
Okay, So my first radio job, I gave my two
weeks and I was doing overnights at the time or nights,
I can't remember which, and so I put my two
weeks under the general manager's door. So the next morning,
I'm sleeping because I was working late, and the phone
rings and it's the general manager's secretary and says, hey, yeah, John,

(04:52):
got your note. He wants you to come in. I'm like, oh,
that's weird, right, It's okay. So I get up by
going to the office and I go to the general
manager's office and guy's name was John Talk what the
fuck is this? And he throws my two weeks notice
letter back at me. I'm like, well, it's my two weeks.

(05:12):
I got another job.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
He goes, all right, well just get the fuck out
of here. We go. I'll pay you two weeks, just leave,
don't come back. Okay. So wait, did he fire me
after I gave my two weeks? Yep?

Speaker 2 (05:25):
So then can you get unemployment?

Speaker 3 (05:26):
He rage fired me. Well, if you gave your two weeks,
then you you Yeah.

Speaker 6 (05:33):
I feel like that happens a lot. They don't want
you around. You give the two weeks and they're like,
you know what, No, you don't want to be here.

Speaker 5 (05:40):
When I quote unquote two weeks and my last job,
I got cursed out every day for six months. It
was hello, you guys, were the fault?

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Where to blame for that?

Speaker 1 (05:54):
You know?

Speaker 3 (05:55):
I don't know. There's a lot of negative energy, you know.
That's why I never fight back. But I will tell
you everyone who has fired me don't even know where
they are anymore. They're not even in the business anymore.
They're gone. They were either they fired themselves. You know.
I've always heard that from some of my past employers
and colleagues. You never really get fired. You you fire yourself.

(06:17):
You you came up with some reason that made them
fire you. And so I'm like Okay, I didn't fit
into their plan. Okay, fuck them? And now where are they?
Not even on the radar anymore?

Speaker 9 (06:27):
These people, I don't want to jinx myself, but I've
never been fired from anywhere.

Speaker 6 (06:32):
They're hold on.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Out well the same Scottie.

Speaker 9 (06:36):
Yeah, I mean, I've had a bunch of stupid jobs
growing up, but I never got fired from anywhere.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
And there's plenty of time for it for this Russ.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
I haven't gotten fired, but I've been cursed out by
some people me too, and karma did not work out
on their.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Side well at all.

Speaker 6 (06:51):
I don't know where they are now. I have no
idea two of.

Speaker 5 (06:54):
Them are dead, well, I know, r that's actually very sad.
I would never wish that on anyone.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
But yeah, obviously you did. I would you curse them?
I don't know. Getting fired is an interesting thing because look,
you know, if it's a financial thing, I get that.
You know, if you get fired, you're like, well, what
am I gonna do? I gotta pay the bills until
I find something else. And of course we're out now
working in a especially a career, and now that it's

(07:22):
downsizing going on here and what we've chosen to do
for a living, and a lot of industries are downsizing
and shifting to different talent needed away from the old talent.
I don't know, but being fired is liberating in many
ways if you allow it to be. You know, I
would say it's not much different than being broken up with. Right.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Yeah, for the most of the redirection, it's great.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
I got to say. It scares me every day.

Speaker 6 (07:44):
Wait with you, every day you think you're getting fired?

Speaker 3 (07:46):
No, no, no, but it's always in the back of
my mind. You just never know. I mean sometimes that
at some point if you can't you know.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
But we do know it's gonna happen eventually.

Speaker 6 (07:56):
We're all going to be shown the door eventually, unless
you decide to go first.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
No Elvis.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
If Scary had his way, he would weekend it bernies
you until he's.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
How do you know he's not doing that already? Hello,
hello lady.

Speaker 7 (08:10):
No, people like you should always get off the train
before it comes to it's last stop. Why don't leave
them before they leave you? You know?

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Okay, that's a game. Who goes to play that game?
Oh God? Is today the day? Oh ship? Do you
really want that first ration? No? No, no, No, Scary
if they ship canned you today. Oh boy, don't even
put it in the down there. I'm not They're not
shitcanning you today. But all I know is you would

(08:40):
be fine. You would find something. You got to give
yourself more credit. Everyone on this show, you're here because
you're great at what you do. I never thought of
it that way.

Speaker 9 (08:50):
If there aren't too many other places that want us
to do what we do, now that's the problem, you know.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
I disagree with that.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
But seeing scary at events like the cookies uh for
Cookies for Kids cancer event, and he literally was walking
us from chef to chef, describing to a t where
these chefs work and what their specialty is of making
like the man is born to be a food something
a blogger.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
Describing what my Plan B should be.

Speaker 6 (09:21):
Honestly, and somebody used to tell me, start your Plan
B now while you're still doing Plan A, because eventually
that Plan B might become you Plan A.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
For sure, I would listen to Danielle, they're scary. What
what do you know? That message? Okay, you should start
doing that because it's something you enjoy. It would be
a good side hustle. It gives you something to do.
Other than going home and rotting on your couch every day.
It's very true. It keeps it keeps you sharp, It
keeps you, It gets you out in different circles of people,

(09:51):
whole different industry.

Speaker 6 (09:52):
If you started, like some kind of a blog or
something with food, I would follow you because I trust you.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
You know, go to about food?

Speaker 3 (10:01):
Thank you?

Speaker 4 (10:01):
No.

Speaker 7 (10:01):
Elvis is my go to So it's where I get
a lot of it from The Final Boss weekend at Bernie's.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
The Final Boss.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Everybody who works in radio.

Speaker 5 (10:10):
I think every single person should have a podcast. Why
Like why not?

Speaker 2 (10:14):
This is what we do.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
If there's something that you're passionate about that we don't
talk about on the show, you have an outlet to
go and do something else and then also start your
plan B or like expand your portfolio just a little bit.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
Do something else.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
Yeah, something you know.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
It's a very least I mean, I'm not saying it's
the equivalent of gardening, but having your own thing that
has nothing to do with this. It's yours, no one else's.
It's a good idea hobby scary hobbies.

Speaker 7 (10:40):
You know, my girlfriend told me that over the weekend
she goes you realize something just you do not have
any hobbies.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
You nor your friends.

Speaker 7 (10:46):
All you guys do is go out, you eat, you drink,
you watch sports, and you just that's it.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
But nobody has a hobby. My buddy Will has a hobby.
He golfs, and that's it. All my other friends nobody
has a hobby. We don't do anything. I don't. She's like,
she wants me.

Speaker 7 (11:01):
She wanted to entice me to take up something and
master something else and and and enjoy.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Are you going to learn how to scooter skateboard?

Speaker 3 (11:11):
How about something realistic? But the thing is it also,
in my opinion, if you find something to do that
keeps you rolling forward with your life and gives you
momentum in other areas other than this career, it makes
this career more interesting. I think it gives you a
different outlook on life that you can bring to this table.
So that keeps very true, very true. So I got

(11:34):
to get into something because we talk about food all
the time, and it's because we're interested with food. We
talk about travel all the time because we're interested with travel.
In the combination of food and travel, you go to
any destination in the world and you eat their food
and you learn the history of that place and the
culture through their food. You know. That's okay, there's your
there's your future job. Start to write. Let's get out

(11:55):
of here. Are we done? Any other final thoughts from
anyone about anything?

Speaker 2 (12:00):
Hmmm?

Speaker 6 (12:00):
I love how I'm looking at Scotty's smells like steak
pooping or I.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
Did that yesterday. We're good? Oh yeah, you're you're here yesterday.

Speaker 5 (12:08):
I will tell me today that I owe him money
for his impending heart attack that's on the way.

Speaker 9 (12:13):
You know, the scaring thing is starting to it's taking
years off my life.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
How do you invoice someone for a heart attack that
hasn't happened, that's very it's a new one.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
Exactly how much would you charge?

Speaker 3 (12:22):
Well, I mean, whatever the hospital bill is.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Get out of here.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
No one's going to give you a fucking penny for
a heart attack you haven't had.

Speaker 9 (12:27):
What are you talking about when I'm in the hospital
with my heart attack, that she's going to need to
help me.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Pat, I will not.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
And how can you prove that she caused your heart attack?

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Exactly?

Speaker 3 (12:38):
Because I am a condition. Immediately after me being scared,
you have a pre existing condition going, I'm sure I
do I have a I have a pre lapse, of
pro lapse whatever thing is.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
With cereal in the background.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
There you go, all right, Well that said, have a
beautiful day after
