Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning. How are you?
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Good morning? Guys doing well? How are y'all?
Speaker 1 (00:04):
Are you on your phone right now? By chance?
Speaker 3 (00:07):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Not my phone?
Speaker 1 (00:11):
Now.
Speaker 4 (00:11):
The reason I'm asking is because the caller I D
came up here and I'm like, that's not who we're
talking to, it says T. J.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
Watt here.
Speaker 4 (00:20):
But I think that that's just our producer put that
on there in the past. This must be the phone
they put you guys all on when you call in.
Speaker 5 (00:26):
I thought that might just be like the linebacker phone.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
Yeah, right, I don't know if you guys shared the phone. Yeah,
got a phone.
Speaker 6 (00:33):
Queen's done with it, but uh, Wilson's gonna need it
in five minutes, So let's get this guy.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
We'll get it going. Alex.
Speaker 4 (00:40):
First of all is how do you like the uniform
combination that you have to wear on Sunday night?
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Yeah? I mean I'm excited to wear it. I remember
when whenever I first saw it, you know, it was
really cool and it's something that you know, we haven't
seen before and or at least another the jersey's the
jerseys worn shooting in a very long time. But I've
always like when I first saw it, I was a
fan of like my I would say my favorite part
(01:07):
probably is the helmet, like the yellow helmets are sick,
and just the jersey. I'm a big Dark Knight fan.
I love those movies. So seeing uh seeing those jerseys,
you know, made me, uh get into my vain personality
a little bit. Yeah, watching that scene from The Dark
Dark Knight, so I thought that was really cool that way.
(01:28):
So they're pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
I didn't know you guys were wearing yellow cleats until
Bill just retweeted somebody that that showed the cleats you
guys have. I mean those are you guys are gonna
leave a flash across the TV screen?
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Yeah, I think some guys are. I don't know if
everybody is, but some guys are wearing yellow clea So
I think I'll be here and there guys wearing yellow
cleats and stuff.
Speaker 5 (01:47):
How do we feel about the khaki pants, I.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
Mean they're for me. I I like them, but you know,
I think, uh, you know, they maybe I was wondering
if what a black would look like. Thing the black
would probably look a little better, But you know, I
think it's a good, good outfit, and so I'm just
excited to see how it looks on Sunday Night Football.
Speaker 6 (02:11):
Alex Keishaw Williams takes a kick back to the house.
The stadium is not going to explode, is it? No?
Speaker 2 (02:19):
Does that Happen's not going to say Gotham's reckoning?
Speaker 1 (02:24):
Dude, you have them. You've got the voice down well,
describe as sack in the Bain.
Speaker 6 (02:34):
You're getting You're getting a sack and Baine's doing the
play by play.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
What do you got?
Speaker 2 (02:39):
I guess I'll just put play okay. Uh ah, yes,
suck by advert Heimith and Tuesday Watton.
Speaker 7 (02:49):
Uh Yeah, you don't.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
Yeah, Bain doesn't really know. He doesn't know. We should
have learned something from I've.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
Been working on that one for a little bit. From
that one for a little bit.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Do you have other impersonations that you can do?
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Coach t Uh, I've done Coach t and then the
water Boy, I've done the Joker, the water.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
You've done Adam.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
My father was drinker.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
So serious. I like that. Did I hear the water Boy?
Speaker 2 (03:39):
I'm a kid.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
These are fantastic.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
I know we need to break some of these out
in game.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
You have to do your post game and after you
like Sack Jordan love three times on Sunday night and
they interview after the game.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
For Sunday TV.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
I'll have to I'll have to do with a little
uh pose where you know, puts his hands in his
his caller and just like stands there and watches that's
like his thing. Yeah, that might watched on a nice celebration.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
Well, let's hope you get uh that that opportunity. I mean,
this is no small feat. This team is a pretty
good folk coming in. Of course, the overriding theme of
things here is Aaron Rodgers returning to face his former
team for the first time as a non Green Bay Packer.
They've downplayed it, both the Packers and Aaron Rodgers in
(04:34):
terms of revenge game. Is that the sense that you're
getting and the other teammates are getting that, oh, even
though he's facing the Packers for the first time, that
won't be much of a factor.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
Or is that something that you guys are all too
well aware of.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Yeah, I mean I think we're definitely aware. I think
it's just a chance, you know, for for him to
make history for beating every single being one of what
I think fourth qbs, to uh be every single team
the NFL. So I know there's some big history with that,
but it's just going to be a high intensity. Uh,
it's gonna be a pack game. Pretty sure. It's probably
(05:11):
almost sold out, it's not. It's probably close, so it's
not sold out. So and in Sunday night football, it's
prime time, and so I just know it's going to
be a crazy matchup.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
How sure are you guys that what happened against the
Bengals defensively and not being able to stop the run,
to your satisfaction, was an aberration and not a revelation.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
Yeah, I think, uh, like we started off great. You know,
I was talking about the other day in the locker room.
You know, we started off ten zero, and things that
dam started to break whenever we fished up the run
and I think it was that or to drive the
second quarter and they got that one long run on
us and then you know that's that's when things started
going south. So for us, it's you know, obviously we've
(05:55):
got to start fast. We just got to continue to
play more consistent, especially in the run game can stretch
you know the three the two games we've lost and
then you know Jets being that close game, all the
games that we've let up a lot of points. Teams
have been successed to running the ball and they've had
one hundred yard rushers and so for us, that's just
where it comes. It starts. We just got to stop
the run first and foremost. And you know Josh Jacobs
(06:17):
and company coming in town. You know they got a
good runn attack, So we've just got to be able
to stop him and then be able to get them
in a third and long situations and Couse.
Speaker 6 (06:25):
Having Alex, I didn't talk to you this week, but
the message from your teammates on defense and even up
through coordinator Tarrell Austin was an emphatic everybody's confident that
this is going to be a really good defense. There's
been some ups and downs to this point, but that's
just kind of part of the deal. It's coming, it's
(06:46):
going to get there. What's the sense of urgency that
it gets there Sunday night, because these guys are pretty good.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
I mean, it's a huge sense of urgency and I
think we have displayed that since of urgency by the
way to practice these Passcala days. Way we have practices
press a couple of days. So in the day we
just had to flush it, you know, and it was
over a week ago, so we flushed that and we've
moved on from it. It's definitely frustrating, but you know,
we can't play it cool. You know, we got to
(07:13):
own up to it, and we gotta to get back
week for us, and so we just got to be
better when we were last week a lot better to
know we had the defense and the players would be
a great defense. So I think it's on us.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
How much has Aaron Rodgers helped you understand defensively what
they're going to do offensively given his vast knowledge of
what Lafleur does.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
Yeah, I mean, he definitely knows a lot. And he's,
like I said, he spent a lot of time there,
so he knows the ins and outs. So he's definitely
shared some some valuable information with us.
Speaker 8 (07:45):
I know, I know you're I know you're on defense,
but how can you protect Aaron Rodgers from Broderick Jones?
Speaker 2 (07:55):
Yeah? I mean, shoot, uh, someone someone just got the
has Aaron's run out the fire. Someone's gonna have to
run run off the line, tackle project himself.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Take him out.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
Yeah, Because obviously we scored and then we were getting
ready to go back from defense. I didn't know what
happened till after the game. Oh shoot, that really happens.
So yeah, you're gonna gonna happen again.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
We gotta make sure Steelers and the Packers Sunday night
and a twenty kickoff and uh look home Sunday.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
Yes they're gonna. Yeah, there you go, Alex. That's funny.
The best of Block Sunday Night.
Speaker 5 (08:36):
Yeah, okay, man, take care the linebacker phones.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
Do you guys know he did that stuff?
Speaker 5 (08:41):
I knew he did the coach t in the bank.
You know, he did the Joker and the.
Speaker 4 (08:45):
Water Usually those guys are a little reticent to god
hilarious show off their talents. But he's he had a
talent show ready to go there. Yeah yeah, I love
the water Boy. I really do think he should do
his interviews as the water Boy.
Speaker 6 (08:58):
I think he should have one of those mass because
if they interview him after the game, he should throw
it on.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
They're gonna expect one of us in the records. Brother,
you must learn what the students Deferent is.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
Capable of.
Speaker 9 (09:11):
That?
Speaker 4 (09:17):
What who didn't he get that voice from like some
like a serial killer or something like that. He told
Christopher Nolan, like he's like, I gotta come up with
a unique voice for Baine. And it was like some
dude who I think he was like a motorcycle club,
like like he was.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
In he's the head of some gang and he was
in jail.
Speaker 10 (09:38):
He's like famous the bare knuckle boxer and Irish traveler
Bartley Gorman.
Speaker 4 (09:43):
That's it was the inspiration. Yeah, but yeah, okay, Bartley Gorman.
All right, here's the side by side of the two
of them. He's a Welsh Irish boxer. So this is
the voice comparison that is on the internet.
Speaker 11 (10:01):
Here's to try to wipe me off the face of
the earth, and the men behind them showing them.
Speaker 1 (10:06):
Kill him, kill him, kill him.
Speaker 11 (10:11):
So you know what I mean. There ain't no referee
going to jump in. Oh he's got to cut over
his eye. I mean stop it. As a cut over
his eye, there's no stop it. Not if you ripped
me out out. They wouldn't stop it. Before me.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
There's always been kings of the Gypsies before me. You
Riah Bate and be just as a king of the Gypsies.
Speaker 5 (10:32):
That I hear it? Do you I hear the You
know the base of it.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
But he slowed it down, slowed dock considerably.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Right.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
You were being supplied with a false ide.
Speaker 6 (10:45):
Will just stop you tearing down this corrupt sty went
me tell you the truth about how redma Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
Okay, yeah, I get it.
Speaker 5 (10:58):
I hear it.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
I love the name Bartley Gorman though, m hm, you're
gonna fight Bartley Gorman? Are you mad? There's no stoppings?
Speaker 10 (11:06):
Yeah, goes Bartley Gorman for Halloween, just so I can
tell people I'm Bartley Gorman.
Speaker 4 (11:10):
Unless you're playing the Raiders, there's no stop it. Did
you see what happened last week where they basically did
the mercy rule the Chiefs on the Raiders.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
It was like three minutes left in the game.
Speaker 4 (11:18):
It was thirty thirty one to nothing with two minutes
and forty five seconds left, they went into victory formation.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
Wow, Raiders had three timeouts left? Did they take them?
Speaker 2 (11:28):
No?
Speaker 1 (11:30):
That? Yeah? And this is humiliating.
Speaker 4 (11:33):
Yeah, let's hope nothing humiliating happens to the Steelers on
Sunday night. I think we I hope we suffered our
bigness in our biggest indignity against the Bengals last Thursday night,
making us stay up late to feel bad too is
especially cruel.
Speaker 8 (11:49):
Well, I think it was easy to overlook the Bengals
running game. They were the worst in the league. You
don't have to do that with the next three.
Speaker 6 (11:57):
When you say they were the worst of the league,
Like they weren't close to the second West.
Speaker 5 (12:02):
They were subterranean.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
Yeah, the only reason they were thirty thirties. There's only
thirty two.
Speaker 4 (12:07):
Teas I didn't have Like they were like half as
good as the next worst team.
Speaker 6 (12:13):
They were over twenty five yards behind Tennessee per game rushing. Oof,
it was in the fifties, Like it was fifty seven
point six or something like that.
Speaker 8 (12:22):
I think the coaches were completely in their heads for
that game. The Thursday night bugaboo, Tomlin being afraid of
Joe Flacco, Jamar Chase and Higgins being such a dangerous duo.
Speaker 4 (12:34):
I'll tell you what, if I lived in Tomlin's neighborhood,
would definitely dress is Joe Flacco for Halloween.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
Obviously that scared me. Long boy. Oh yeah, he doesn't
know who's lump.
Speaker 5 (12:44):
Just gets some stilts and then connect your eyebrows. How
do you have? What's the Joe flats?
Speaker 4 (12:48):
We don't know how about the clip that went viral
of Flacco talking about going to dinner by himself.
Speaker 8 (12:54):
It's so relatable, it's hilarious. That's that's a forty year
old mentality right there, when.
Speaker 5 (13:02):
That guy's in heaven.
Speaker 4 (13:04):
For those who don't or haven't seen it, Joe Flacco
talked about, you know, his family stayed in Delaware because
when he went to Cleveland, he's like, and we moved
the kids last year, Let's not do it this year,
and let's not make them go to Cleveland too. Yeah,
So in going to Cincinnati, he talked about going out
to dinner by himself. You know, he's new to town
(13:26):
and whatever, and he said he used to see guys
eating dinner by themselves and you feel bad for them, like, oh,
they're sitting there by themselves and they have you know,
it's sad that they don't have a family with them
or a loved one. And now he looks at it differently,
he's like, that guy had it made. I had no
idea how enjoyable it is to just sit in the
quiet by yourself and have dinner.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
It's tremendous.
Speaker 8 (13:49):
And then did you see Chase was asked about it
and he was like, would you ever eat by yourself?
And he's like, hell, no, man, don't do that at
the crib? Why would I go out? And they're like,
if you saw Joe in there eating by him, hope,
would you join him. He's like no, I tell him, like,
let's go in the back and have dinner. We don't
have to sit out in the front with.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
The right Yeah, like around the bar.
Speaker 8 (14:10):
But Chase couldn't go into a restaurant in Cincinnati and
sit by himself and eat dinner.
Speaker 4 (14:15):
Well, it would be a cost. I don't think Joe
Flacco can anymore. I think there was a time he could.
But now, I mean he's been splashed all over the
media there. I mean they are they're celebrating like they
are back and he's the bridge to Burrow and it's happening.
Speaker 6 (14:29):
I mean, it might not be wrong. Why why should
whine outs are special? Man, if you can activate him,
we've seen how far they can go with a bad defense.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
Yeah all right, Well how about our second white out?
Speaker 6 (14:41):
Big big deal? I think we haven't talked much about that.
But getting Calvin Austin back I think is a big deal.
And he is going to be back. Oh, he's fine. Yeah,
all right, good, it's fine.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
It's fine. Sunday Night, Steelers Packers right here on DV.
Speaker 6 (14:55):
The Black and Gold faith will always travel well to
see the team.
Speaker 11 (14:58):
On the road.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Yeah, with your sports right now on the morning show,
Sports that brought to you by Bridgeville Appliance.
Speaker 6 (15:05):
Zach Fraser did not practice for the Steelers yesterday, but
he spoke beforehand about what they've got going on with
the running game of late and what they might continue
to establish.
Speaker 12 (15:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 13 (15:18):
I mean, it seems like we've kind of started to
get like an identity and doing a lot of stuff
with with Spencer, which is nice.
Speaker 5 (15:26):
We just got to keep it going.
Speaker 13 (15:27):
I feel like we have a lot of good packages
that were running and it's just kind of building off
of each other. Week tweet.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
When did the CAF thing happen? I heard it in
the game in second drive.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
How's it feel?
Speaker 5 (15:39):
Yeah, Yeah, I think I think I'll be fine.
Speaker 8 (15:42):
I don't understand that injury, because you know, when Russ
had it, it kept him out several weeks.
Speaker 5 (15:47):
I guess different positions, it's different, but.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
It depends on severity and then I mean that's all
there is to it.
Speaker 4 (15:53):
But I mean I had that last year, and I
went in and he's like, there's six stealers with the
same injury right now, and he's like different severe.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
Remember That's what.
Speaker 5 (16:01):
I'm saying, Like, I just don't understand that.
Speaker 4 (16:03):
Well because mine was a fairly significant tear. I mean,
you can do a small one that will heal in
a couple of weeks or sore, but the problem is
that makes you vulnerable for you to making it worse
and popping your achilles.
Speaker 5 (16:18):
Because you're trying to compensate.
Speaker 6 (16:19):
Hopefully that doesn't happen, and hopefully they keep building on
that running game. I think Aaron Rodgers will be fine,
but they're gonna have to finish drives better than they
did against the Bengals. I know they scored thirty one points,
but they may need to score in the thirties again
to win this game, particularly if Green Bay runs the ball.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
And we'll see if the.
Speaker 4 (16:39):
I think it's going to be a shootout like the
Bengals game was.
Speaker 8 (16:43):
I really do. I do as well. I'm taking the
over for Rogers. Smelling salts. I mean that Dad's going
to be bathing and smelling salts leading up to this game.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
Weather still get should take him to the tailgates just
to support him.
Speaker 6 (16:56):
Well, Weather's still going to be conducive to throw on
the ball. They got a new carpet. We'll see if
Pitt screws it up Saturday.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
These are proppers. These are proppers. Somebody get me Pops.
Speaker 6 (17:09):
And at some point it's gonna come down to the
defense making a stop, either consistently or at the very
least at the end of the game, as the defense
did against the Jets, against the Patriots and against the Vikings.
As bad as that Cincinnati game was, if they get
that last stop, different narrative, right, which maybe that would
have allowed them to continue glossing over their problems instead
(17:32):
of addressing them. But they better address them now because
the Packers and Josh Jacobs are going to run. The
Colts and Jonathan Taylor are going to run, and the Chargers.
This just in you know, the Chargers took the field
last night against Minnesota in the Thursday night game. Justin
Herbert was the leading passer in the NFL. But they
got back to playing hardball ball last night. Big d lineman,
(17:54):
full back, big tight ends a massive wall and just
run behind it. Two hundred and seven rushing yards and
four point eight per carry for the Chargers that the
Steelers will have to deal with eventually Sunday. They got
to deal with Green Bay in both situations, DC terror
Austin maintained they just got to play the right way.
Speaker 14 (18:16):
Sometimes what causes it is guys are trying to maybe
do too much, you know, and make a play. And really,
what I found out in my years in this league
is that when it happens, it kind of snowballs in
a sense of if.
Speaker 5 (18:30):
I'm a guy and.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
You know, we had to play.
Speaker 14 (18:34):
Something happened bad, then the next time that same play happens,
I'm going to try to do something else, and then
maybe I become the culprit.
Speaker 5 (18:40):
And so I think that's really what it is.
Speaker 14 (18:42):
And just you know, we just got to make sure
we stick to it, take care of our jobs, do
our jobs as well as we can, and trust that
the man next to us is going to do it
and that if it doesn't get done the first time,
that the next time that guy will get it right.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
And I don't try to do too much.
Speaker 8 (18:56):
But isn't there approach part of the problem, Because if
you're preaching opportunistic splash.
Speaker 5 (19:03):
Isn't that creating the environment to have that trying to.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
Make a play.
Speaker 6 (19:09):
I mean, they're trying to get guys to rely on
their quickness and their ability, but gap soundness, however, your
is always.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
Thank you.
Speaker 6 (19:19):
That's job one, that's ahead of making a play. If
everybody's in the right gap, somebody will make.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
You know.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
If you're playing the tackle, the guy.
Speaker 6 (19:30):
Next to you screws up and you can't try to
do his job next down because nobody's doing yours. And
now you've got two potential problems. And I do think
it's snowballed on him in Cincinnati. I thought the way
I thought, the way that game started, there was a
collective kind of we got this and they didn't. And
they couldn't, you know, once once it started going bad,
(19:50):
they could not find a way to stop it. Different scenario.
This time, they're home, they have the longer rest, they
got to be better, and they played against the franklet
I mean seeing him play better than they were against
the Bengals. But a different kind of challenge with Josh Jacobs,
and you know, the whole gap integrity thing. He can
run it between the tackles, he can run it outside
(20:12):
he can start inside and go outside. Hell, he's just
really good and he sees it and then he explodes
into it.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
So good luck.
Speaker 4 (20:21):
Peyton Wilson said at the beginning of this year that
he thought he was one of the best pass coverage
linebackers in the league. He needs to get a fraction
of that to be true compared to what he's been doing.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
Now.
Speaker 4 (20:34):
They cannot be pointing at each other trying to fix
what's wrong, like not knowing what's going on on the
field and who you're supposed to cover, because they will
get absolutely.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
Diced up by Jordan Love. He hasn't been there for
ten days.
Speaker 8 (20:49):
And what Merril said, like they're playing the hash to
the sideline and there's nobody over there. In the middle
of the field is wide open and he's fast enough
to chase guys down and tackle them. But we need
him to be anticipating the play and making.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
That they don't have Jamar Chase or t Higgins.
Speaker 4 (21:04):
So if all else fails, I mean, go demand coverage
way quicker and let those guys beat you and make
Jordan Love make pinpoint passes.
Speaker 6 (21:13):
Yeah, the thing about Jordan Love that scares me is
he's got patience to his game this year, which tells
me that he's seeing it and he's kind of a
step ahead.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
But our zone coverage has just been yeah awful. So yeah,
maybe go man and run and cover anyone.
Speaker 6 (21:32):
Particularly guys from Green Bay that are not necessarily chasing Haigg.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
It's that's a great point by you.
Speaker 5 (21:36):
But he's got that zen in the pocket.
Speaker 8 (21:39):
And I know what you're talking about, Like he is cool,
calm and collected with traffic all around him.
Speaker 6 (21:44):
Yeah, and he's waiting for place to develop. If his
first read's not there, he knows where the second one
is and where the third one is.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
We'll see.
Speaker 15 (21:53):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (21:54):
I think their a line can be had a little bit.
And uh, defensively, their secondary, the green Bay secondary is good,
but not great. They may force you to make a
contested catch, but those can be made against these guys.
So I don't know that the Steelers sideways, chuck and
(22:14):
duck approach to the passing game is gonna work because
the linebackers are so active they can cover side to
side and keep that stuff.
Speaker 1 (22:23):
To a very minimal game.
Speaker 6 (22:25):
Got to figure out a way to block it up and.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
Throw it down the field. I want this game to
be played now. And the way this game to be
played now.
Speaker 6 (22:32):
The way you can facilitate that is to run the
ball on them, and steel has been running it pretty well.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
It is going to be a barn burner on Sunday night.
Speaker 5 (22:42):
I mean, I hope.
Speaker 4 (22:43):
Maybe I let my anxiety get the best of me
earlier when I was predicting a huge turnout for Green
Bay fans. But the amount of hotel rooms that are
reserved for the weekend, I know that that's always the
case for Steeler game. This is exceptional. Try go, try
to find a hotel room on Sunday night in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 6 (23:03):
This is what you want, though, right. You want a
good team, a challenge of great stage.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
And we got to find out.
Speaker 6 (23:09):
About this team, which I think we are going to
in the next three weeks.
Speaker 5 (23:12):
Like, I hope it's close.
Speaker 6 (23:14):
I'm getting kind of tired of speculating, Wow, this could happen,
that could happen. Wait for day to wait for now,
now's the time it's time to play. You can show
you can get nosebleeds. These bleeds for about two hundred
and thirty dollars. Wow, nose bleeds a lot of money
for a nose bleed.
Speaker 4 (23:34):
Now I'm talking last row seats on the end two
hundred and thirty dollars.
Speaker 6 (23:41):
That's what the clubs cost for the bad games, right,
the clubs.
Speaker 4 (23:45):
Are going, you know, fifty yard line, get up near
one thousand dollars and you're looking at five hundred and
eighty dollars for end zone club seats.
Speaker 1 (23:56):
Wow, it's need to if.
Speaker 4 (23:59):
You want to get down low in the one hundred section,
which is always good.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
That's my favorite places. I love the one hundreds.
Speaker 4 (24:05):
If you can get down there, five hundred dollars on
the far end gets up to seven hundred in the middle.
That's a lot of money. End zone seats are going
for just about four hundred dollars.
Speaker 8 (24:20):
Per ticket. You got to think at least a fraction
of the hotel rooms. Our veteran Pittsburgh Steeler fans who
are like, I ain't driving all the way home after
that game.
Speaker 1 (24:31):
Well, there are a couple of pops the town people.
I don't think Packers.
Speaker 4 (24:39):
Yeah, there are so many you know, Washington, DC area,
and even you know the part of.
Speaker 5 (24:46):
The Florida that come up Forever Jersey.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
Yeah, I mean we met them all in Dublin.
Speaker 4 (24:51):
Those people we met, Abby member, that couple we met,
They're like, oh, we go to every game. We're from,
uh Saint Pete, Tampa or whatever. Yeah, and they go
to every game. So there is that element too. But
I just have the feeling, with the price of these
tickets that it's going to be a.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
Whole lot of Green Bay in that crowd on Sunday night.
I hope I'm wrong.
Speaker 8 (25:14):
The way they play will be how much of a
noise that those cheeseheads make. Well, the better the Packers do,
the more loud they're going to get.
Speaker 4 (25:23):
Which fan base is more excited about the possibilities this year?
Speaker 5 (25:26):
Right now? I mean I think right now?
Speaker 1 (25:30):
Right yeah?
Speaker 4 (25:31):
And if you can sell your tickets as a Steeler
fan and cash in on a game that you're maybe
not feeling great about.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
We know coward's behavior that we're all guilty of from
time to time, but it's.
Speaker 4 (25:48):
That's that is an alluring you know, if you have
tickets in the one hundred, but you make a thousand
dollars on your tickets, that's a lot of bill paid significange.
Speaker 16 (25:57):
I think though, even prior to you know, maybe any
defensive fears that we had going into this game. When
we were talking about the Ireland game and we saw
it was gonna Steelers Green Bay, we were like, oh,
that's gonna be even.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (26:10):
The one thing that has occurred to me this week
is and we talked about this on the preview last night,
Matt Williamson and Merrill and I were all in agreement
on this. When the season started, I was perceiving the
possibilities for this team as very good defense, just good
enough offense, because that's what they've been.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
Shooting for for right, for years since Ben left. Right. Yeah,
it might be flipped.
Speaker 6 (26:33):
It might be very good offense, just good enough defense
and thirty one points in Cincinnati.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
They could have had forty one and they might need that.
Speaker 6 (26:42):
But you know, man, Aaron Rodgers, I think is playing
exceptionally well. I think that is an underreported story locally
and nationally. And they got enough weapons. You know, everybody
got to stay healthy. The wide receiver thing trade for
what would be as a hedge to an injury. But
you know, in Austin back this week, all these tight
ends can be productive. Jalen Warren's blown me away how
(27:04):
well he's played running back game well is a really
impactful player. They got the lines coming together now and
getting it done. They got the tools on offense, but
they may need them all.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
When we come back.
Speaker 4 (27:17):
Time for the Coffeehouse Dream the Heavy performing live for
you in the Point Park University Performance Theater.
Speaker 2 (27:22):

Steeler games.
Speaker 1 (28:05):
Uh would can if it's aluminum? No, dude, they're aluminum bottles.
Speaker 5 (28:09):
There's aluminum bottles. You've seen those.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
Yeah, I mean it might look like a bottle.
Speaker 5 (28:13):
But yeah, it's in a bottle.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
Share it's a can. But definition it identifies as a bottle.
And we're going with that, all right, you can bottle can? Yeah,
a hot dog is a sandwich.
Speaker 5 (28:27):

Speaker 4 (35:19):
Mike pursuit to get you ready for kickoff a twenty
on Sunday nights, Steelers and Packers.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
Here on DVE, here's the preamble to kickoff.
Speaker 6 (35:37):
Aaron rodgers magnanimous act was as convincing as it was
compelling in the days leading up to Steelers Packers. This
isn't about revenge, insisted Rogers, who spoke fondly about his
nearly two decades in Green Bay, about those he still
knows in the Packers organization, about his successor at quarterback,
Jordan Love, even about grocery shopping at the Pigley Wiggly
(35:58):
in one of those tiny was gone and hamlets he
used to inhabit me.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
Thinks he didn't protest enough.
Speaker 6 (36:04):
Amid all the heartfelt reminiscing, Rogers also made sure to
mention he happened to win MVP the first two years
Love was with the Packers. A year later, green Bay
was a memory. How quickly they forget. Rogers compared that
process to the one that had played out back when
he took over for Brett farre It's not necessarily the
way Rogers wanted it, but the writing was on the wall,
(36:27):
and Rogers read that as well. As he still reads
a defense, so he'p me playing the win on Sunday night,
not for a petty game ball. But that said, Rogers
has already established he's not immune to the satisfaction gleaned
from beating a former team, a guilty pleasure Rogers embraced
in September when he was admittedly happy to have beaten
(36:47):
everyone associated with the Jets. And he only spent two
seasons in the Meadowlands. That makes the need for a
little Packers payback obvious enough that it need not be stated.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
Are you ready for some football?
Speaker 18 (37:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (37:04):
Rogers was older.
Speaker 6 (37:06):
The move was Boulder, a draft pick Gleam, green Bay's
next big thing. Aaron still played great, but the fans
were impatient, so they dumped the guy who won them
their last ring. How do you like me now? Now
we're about to play? You thought I was washed up?
You better check the tape. I couldn't make you keep me,
but I always knew somehow I'd wind up with the Steelers.
(37:28):
How do you like me now? How do you like
me now? Playing for Coach t Your new guy has potential.
Speaker 1 (37:34):
If you're lucky, he'll be me throws it up, still
making are the ones you dream about. Still getting it
done at forty one? How do you like me?
Speaker 3 (37:43):
Now?
