probably mop Jersey Jerry up. Now. Jersey Jerry said, you know,
give me the fifty grand. Dino said, no, that's not
how this works. And so Jersey Jerry is out. He said,

maybe wants to fight Jersey, Jerry's podcast partner Kevin Kevin.

you feel removed far enough that they the person that

better than I do. But like from an observer from
the outside and like you know, a big fan of
the NFL and covering the NFL, it does feel like
the heat has finally reached like a real spot for

one feels a little different where it's like, yeah, it's

ends up coming here and DK Metcalf and they spend

all this money and they're like, uh huh, that's right,
we're fixing this, and it is just garbage. And so
the noise that we've been hearing here Big Cat finally
has permeated enough of the now national bubble because the
problem is, and here's what has been pissing us off
forever in Pittsburgh is that we've been saying, like, dude,

this is not working. And then you get everybody on
ESPN going, oh, the Steelers would be crazy to fire
Mike Thomas, right, all of those guys. Now there's only
a couple of them. Now there's only Will Bond saying
that and a couple of other guys at ESPN. Now
you got Colin Colin Cowherd going, yeah, maybe it's time
for him to move on. You know, you got Ben

Roethlisberger going on his podcast and saying that Mike Tomlinson
coach Penn State, which I'm sure you know, he didn't
do to piss him off at all. He just was
just gnawing off freaking opinion. He wasn't trying to get
under my skin, you know. And so that's how it's changed.
It's the national perspective on this big cat is that

you know what, maybe those Pittsburgh's weren't just a bunch
of spoiled fans. Maybe they have a point.

Yeah, and you guys do have a point. We've been
saying for over a year now that it's because I
remember that this point changed in my mind. It was
probably about last year around this time where we had
this discussion. I was like, for the longest time, I
was like, how.

Can Steelers fans be upset?

I would do anything to get in the playoffs every year.
I do anything to be over five hundred. And then
last year, after watching that team again, I was like, Yeah,
I don't know how you could watch this team and
be excited about it knowing that it's gonna be the
exact same result every single year.

And nothing is changing, and nothing is you know, like
that Bills game.

You guys, the Bills just ran the same play over
and over and over right down your throat. It's that's
bad coaching. And so yeah, I agree with you, Like
I see, I still think. I think Rex Ryan is
another one who's still hold out. He said something like
Mike Tomlin would get a job in a second if that.

Steelers fined up. I don't know if that's totally true.

Like, I think you get another shot somewhere else eventually,
but I don't think everyone's like, you know, running, you know,
banging down the door. For Mike Tomlin at this point,
he might have to do a little self reflection and
and go, you know, pick a year off before he
becomes the hot commodity.

And even if he did go somewhere, I mean, Andy
Reid is the comparison that I've always used here where
it's like it stopped working for him in Philly then
he had that four and twelve season or whatever it was,
and they finally bounce him after getting so close and
sniffing it a few times. He goes on to win
championships and they win two Super Bowls with two different

coaches since then, it was a mutually beneficial parting. I
kind of think that's where they are right now. But
I have to say I know that you guys on
pardon my take, highlighted our buddy Seth roerbas tweet, which
was the most I mean, this is nostradamus stuff. Mike
Tomlin will say something like we can't eat soup with forks,

we need spoons. Then the Steelers will sign a twenty
eighteen Pro bowler to the practice squad, and don't they
go two days later and sign Adam Thielen, who was
a member of the two thousand and eight Pro Bowl. This,
this alone should get Mike Tomlin fired. When you're so
easily partied.

the first time in a long time, both teams are good.
Both teams are good, and your Bears have a chance
to keep a clasp on the number one seed in
the conference that I did not see coming. And you
did all of this without Caleb Williams actually playing great.

He's he's doing okay. So my question to you is this,
what is your confidence level going in against what has
traditionally been, at least in recent history the Bears kryptonite.

Oh, I mean it's not even I don't even think
it's kryptonite, because kryptonite, like I feel like Superman puts
up like a tiny bit of fight against kryptonite. We
haven't done any of that. So I am I'm weirdly confident.
Now here's the other thing I am. It ties in
purplectly to Mike common discussion, when you get a coach

Bit of a calmness, where like Ben Johnson, I just
have the utmost confidence in him and his plan and
what he's done for this organization and the culture. And

my heart of hearts thinks the Bears can win. But

I also know we play them again in two weeks
and I'm not gonna freak out if we lose because
Ben Johnson will find a way. And it's like, find
a way to split this. And the reason why you
go nine and three to start the season is you
give yourself a cushion where not every game makes you
freak out, but I'm so excited that I Bears actually
have a team that I feel like can compete with anyone,

and we can run the football. We have an identity.
That's really what it comes down to, is like having
an identity. You guys know this, like when the Steelers
have an identity.

yesterday to sign up for Spear shows just to see
if I could get anything. And the price for Fish
at the Sphere, I'm like, I'll see if I can

reserve four tickets. They make you pay for your tickets,
whether you're gonna get them or not. It comes out
of your bank account. Yes, you have to pay for
them no matter what. And it's three hundred a ticket,
So a three day pass to get four to three
day passes thirty six hundred bucks. And I'm like, there's
no way I'm doing this. I can't look. I would

love to see them there because after seeing Dead and
Company there, it was so much fun. And Fish does
an even more unique show. Every single night is a
different Sphere show for them. They spend a lot of
money on it, but I think I'm gonna draw the
line on a three hundred dollars face value ticket for
a concert.

teams play each other, you can throw out the record books,
or in this case of these two quarterbacks, overthrow out
the record books. Yes, the battle of the AFC North
is being waged by a single wristed forty two year

And Lamar Jackson, who's in a funk deeper than James
Brown could ever hope to have found himself in. How

in the window between their second and sixth seasons. Big

all more than familiar with the individual components to that
running game, including the King, Derek Henry at running back.

Henry has rushed for nine hundred and thirty one yards
this season, averaging four point seven yards per carry and
with ten rushing touchdowns, marking this Henry's eighth straight season
with at least ten and this is Henry's time of
year two is one hundred and eight point four yards
per game in the months of December and January, is
the best of anybody since nineteen seventy. Henry's had great
success against the Steelers as well since joining the rival Ravens.

In three games, he averages one hundred and thirty eight
yards rushing against the Steelers and has scored three rushing
touchdowns in those meetings.

have the ball the whole game, and Lamar Jackson is
just dancing around the end and picking up eight fifteen twelve,
and the Ravens just set a tone on the first

And Al Saunders was able to phrase this question to
Tara Austin, the Steelers defensive coordinator, in the context of,

you know, you guys usually did pretty well against Lamar Jackson,
and you know, statistically the Steelers have done better than
Jackson against any other team. And then that changed last year,
changed in December, and it really changed in the playoff
game and why was that the case. Well, it turns
out Derek Henry's addition in Baltimore changed the game, specifically

the defensive game planning.

Well, I think so when you add a Hall of
the Future I'm going to probably say a future Hall
of Fame runner, you have to address it.
