Speaker 1 (00:01):
Bench.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Darnell Washington, he's just a big fat freak show with
the insur friendly nickname and one viral moment to his credit,
that run where nobody could tackle him a couple weeks back.
Make Washington had tackled next year put that girth to
good use.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
That's also what she said.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Uh, Pat Friarmuth and John new Smith are legit tight ends.
Friarmuth and John who should be utilized more and better
in that vein with Darnell mount Washington. We love Mount Washington.
Ditch the friggin' jumbo package. It's twenty twenty five, not

(00:42):
nineteen thirty three. The Steelers should be able to run
the ball effectively out of standard formations. Jalen Warning and
Kenneth Gane, Well, they've done okay running back. I'd still
use Caleb Johnson, the rookie, a lot more.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
I'd find out what he got.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Oh my god, Liverpool gave away a freaking penalty already
in the fifth minute. We're gonna be done one, Neil,
oh f me running. Let's go to the replay, any hoodles.
The Steelers have done good at running, not great good.

(01:23):
They abandoned it too much with Warren and gain well,
but you want to power running game Johnson six twenty
four got power, and I always hear people say he's
not good at blitz pickup. Well, then don't use him
on passing downs. Use a big back, not the jumbo package.

(01:44):
Now on defense, which I am told is trashed by
James Harrison, how about Trey Essex offensive lineman criticized the defense,
but everything he said was right. On defense, blitz Moore,
use press coverage more. The defensive becks stink. How much

(02:04):
worse could the Steelers pass defense get? Okay, here's the PK.
I was doing a real good show up until this
penalty one nil Uh, blitzmore, use press coverage more. The
defensive becks stink. The Steelers pass defense probably couldn't get
much worse. Blitzing and using press coverage would make the

(02:28):
defense more dynamic. Take risks, play the Joey Porter Junior's strength.
Use Porter's talent properly instead of hiding what others can't do.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Here's one you won't like, but it's one I love.
Make TJ.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Watt line up in different places besides his preferred spot
at left outside linebacker. If he won't make him. Watch
tape of Miles Garrett lining up in various locations and
succeeding because of it. If what still won't bench him,
watch performance is in decline. He needs to try different things.

(03:03):
And here's a key point. He shouldn't be his own boss.
Nobody on this team should be their own boss. Use
Malie Harrison Moore, he stuffs the run, he plays down hill.
Harrison would restore balance. And inside backer Queen and Peyton Wilson.
They are two of a kind. Neither is terrible, but

(03:25):
neither's that good, and they're both to finesse. And I
got a list of players who shouldn't see the field
except on special teams and or in case of emergency,
Chuck Clark, Connor Hayward, Scotty Miller, Ben Squaronic, Darius Slay
and probably like four or five. More point is, don't

(03:46):
use players who aren't good enough. Play your better players more.
You got no choice with this haphazard roster. Like I said,
maybe I don't know ball. If you think that's true,
I'm not insulted. Just keep losing being doing the same,
actually not losing, just not winning enough. I mean six

(04:06):
and five, they're six and five it seems like the
worst six and five ever because they're not good.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
We know they're not good.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
We know they're going nowhere, but doing the same thing,
whether it works or not. That is a recent Steelers
tradition in the same vein as eight seasons without a
playoff win. What's important is this nine to eight is
still within reach. Heck, gets even likely, and that's all

(04:35):
that matters. This is the Mark Man Show of Liverpool
trail one nil to PSV. I thought Champions League would
just come out with bells on. Well, still eighty two
minutes to go. But the problem is there's still eighty
two minutes to go. That's like that scene from goon

(04:56):
to You know, those are your teammates fed up. But
on the bright side, those are your teammates you fed
up out there? Okay, I need calls, calls on the fifteens.
What do you think of my suggestions? Which do you
like the best? Which do you like the least? Do
I know ball or not? Do they know ball or not?
In the bottom of the hour, we got Tyler Kennedy.

(05:18):
You know, I hate to say this, I'm never a
reactionary and we won the league last year with the
first year coach arn't a slot and people have been
talking about is his job in jeopardy? And I don't
think it should be. Maybe I'm wrong. I mean it's
early and they just won the league last year. I mean, hey,
jrgen Kopp had the year off. What the heck in

(05:41):
that vacation German guy? Uh?

Speaker 3 (05:44):
Okay, we got a bunch of crap calling.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
Now I'm gonna make this is more territ toy fras
mark anything. If you want to talk about the Thanksgiving
sides conversation Tom and I had, you can do that
now as well. Calls on the fifteen It's all so
fetch one nine x. There's always a component of any
nice day.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
Thank you for making my day. Yeah, what you said?

Speaker 2 (06:08):
The exit one O five nine. Liverpool have nodded at
one one sovas lie on a rebound. Here's some Steeler
news I find really interesting. Before we get the calls
on the fifteens, Rogers spoke to the media. Did not
practice today, is going to practice tomorrow and Friday to

(06:31):
quote see if I can play on quotes, which means
there's definitely dot And it seems to me that it's
considerable and that when Mike Tomlin spoke after the loss
at Chicago and said Rogers was going to play against
Buffalo the following Sunday. Tom One was either talking out

(06:53):
his ass for the sake of optimism, or he and
Roy are on different pages. It seems to me the
way things are being said, that the decision.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
Is and was.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
Up to Rogers. Okay, PSB scored again, but offside.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
It looks like let's see the replay. Yep, clearly offside,
no problem.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
H So Rogers, I mean, oh, when he said that,
the problem is he hasn't yet taken snaps under center,
So it seemed to me that that is the biggest
problem his ability.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
To do that.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
So if you made me guess right now, just based
on what we heard from Rogers a few moments ago,
maybe belove that sounded later, I'd guess it's likely he
doesn't play. But that's all right, you know why, because
I believe in Mason Rudolph say his name, and he
appears cats time for calls on the fifteens, nine out

(08:03):
of ten high school girls say that the concept of
calls on the fifteen is so fetch.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
Let's go to Mike. Mike, you're all with Mark.

Speaker 4 (08:14):
Yeah, super genius. I was just wondering if you could
tell me the thought process of sitting Ben Kimble but
keeping Hayes and hinding up.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
I didn't really No, no, no, that's that's easy, and
I don't disagree with it. The plan before the season,
and it went awry with with Brunick because he suffered
so mightily. But the plan with Kendall and Brunick when
they made the teams out of the UH camp that

(08:42):
they would be rested occasionally by way of flowed management.
So Kendall's not been scratched for bad play or because
he's playing quote unquote worse than Hayes, Heinen whoever.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
That was just the plan.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
Gotcha, gotcha? Is there is there any possibility think that
he could be there with bros? Because in the preseason
that's who he had the connection with him and Avery Hayes,
those three were.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Like, yeah, Kendall's not playing Bros. It looks like is
so No, I don't think we go by connections in
training camp twenty games into a season. I don't think
that's that's ignored. But I don't think it's a major factor.
But Kendall will be back in there, I would assume
Friday at Columbus, let's go to Lance.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Lance.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
You're all with double.

Speaker 5 (09:32):
M hey, super g and I appreciate being on the
fifteen year. But the one idea out of all your
Steeler ideas that I found the most fetch and that
I think would enable actually all the rest of your
ideas would be if they allowed.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Aaron Rodgers to call the plays.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
And that actually is the one that's least likely to
be used. I mean, probably none will be used, but
quarterbacks just don't call plays. Now, what I'm saying is
more of an indictment of how bad this offense is,
how neanderthal, how prehistoric, how everything that was supposed to
happen hasn't happened, how the three tight ends are mostly invisible,

(10:16):
and how the wrong one, the big Fats though, seems
to be the number one guy because he's a novelty,
And how dk Mechat was brought in to be this
big money receiver and he's a big money bust.

Speaker 5 (10:26):
Yeah, and maybe and maybe they won't let him call
all the plays the whole game, but maybe in a
two minute offense, a hurry up situation.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Yeah, but every quarterback does that to allow him to
do that wouldn't even be allowing. That would be just
going with what you know he does and other teams do.
But the more put it this way, it's fair to say,
the more input that Rogers has on the offense, I
think the better. Let's go to Patrick Patrick real quick.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
Today. That's one six six. Hey, I think one of
the reasons why this team struggles so mightily, and I
believe you'd agree, is Tomlin won't allow a guy in
the room smarter than him. Would you agree, Oh?

Speaker 2 (11:06):
Uh, well, I mean players like Rogers is smarter than
tom Win.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Clearly, I don't know who else is, But but he won't.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
He won't.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
He doesn't want any coach to know more than him.
He doesn't want any coach to have input. He doesn't
want to even consider it. Like like you look at
the guys who' he got rid of Dick Clobo, I
mean mister Lebo's scheme, the zone blitz. It it become
predictable and outdated a little bit. But but uh, one
thing I know for sure is Bruce arians was a
great offensive coach when tom Win got rid of him.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
And that got proven when uh when uh.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Ba went to Indian One Coach of the Year twice
and then went to Tampa and won a Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (11:43):
After he quote unquote retired. Thank you for call.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
Okay, great calls on the fifteens. Very fetch. No, it's
so fetch. God, I'm not a teenage girl. I get
it wrong sometimes.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
I'm next gonna talk Penguins with Tyler Kennedy Stanley Cup
Champire on one O five to nine.

Speaker 6 (12:05):
Tonight's the Pens go head to head against the Sabers.
Game time is seven. Our coverage starts at six here
every game and the best coverage right here on your
home of the penns one O five nine.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
The X ho hoo hoo. It's that Tommy year again,
isn't it?

Speaker 1 (12:22):
Mark Madden? Double m Mark galling like the Mark Madden.
What do you want? What do you want? Damn it?
The X at one oh five nine.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Penguins at home tonight, big game against Buffalo, trying to
avoid a third straight loss. Joining me now to talk
about it. He won the Stanley Cup with the Penguins
in two thousand and nine. You see him on Sports
Net Pittsburgh. He is Tyler Kennedy t K. Tonight kind
of feels like a big game in a weird way.
You don't want to lose three straight at home, but
Buffalo's the hot hand, having won four out of six,

(12:54):
four out of five.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Rather yeah, especially how the last two games have come.
You know, they didn't get the points they wanted, and
I think this is gonna be a lot harder game
to win than people expect. I know Buffalo obviously is
at the bottom of the barrel, but they have been
playing some really good hockey and I think they're four

(13:16):
and five in the last five games. So they're riding
a hot streak. And the Penguins better be ready because
right now I feel like the games are just that
intensity just steps up just a little bit every time
you get to those milestones, and right now, once you
get past Thanksgiving, the games just meet even more. So
this is a big game for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
Why isn't Buffalo better?

Speaker 1 (13:38):
TK?

Speaker 2 (13:39):
They have one flo out of five, Like you mentioned,
they got three real good young defensemen that any team
would like to have. Just one of Thompson has goals
in six straight games. Why aren't they better?

Speaker 1 (13:51):
That's a great question. And for how many first round
picks they have, and for how many good players they
have for some reason, the chemistry in the room, the leadership,
they just haven't had as many first rounders. They haven't
had a guy that can really grab the organization and

(14:13):
turn around. Like I compare them to the Edmonton Oilers
before they got McDavid, right, because Edmonton Oilers they always had,
you know, seven first rounders, They had all that, but
they could never figure it out. And then they got
a guy like McDavid that can literally turn an organization around.
And they just don't have that guy. And yes, Cage

(14:35):
Thompson is extremely good player, but he is not good
enough to turn the organization around and get them into
the playoffs again.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
Yeah, I agree with that.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
I mean I thought maybe Dollin on defense could be
that guy. And he's a great defenseman, He's just not
that kind of defenseman.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
Uh tk.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
The Penguins needs secondary scoring. How do they ignite that?
And I'm asking because you were se can Arry's scoring.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
Yeah, I think one, you know, they call up bros
Or bros. Yeah, and he's a shooter. You know, he
had a great training camp. He's a guy that I
think can add to that secondary scoring. I think they're
missing bras Oh, that hurts them. But the guy they

(15:23):
called up, he's a guy that thinks shot first. In
past second, he's always been a guy that has more
goals than assists, which is kind of rare these days.
So adding him to the lineup, I think that will
help a lot. But the injuries are starting to add up,
and that's what I think is really coming down to

(15:43):
them not winning as many games because they don't have
that second. They don't have the bras Oh, they don't
have Raquel, they don't have Russ. Russ has been when
he's in, he's been unbelievable, but when he's out, you
feel him. So I think it's just getting some new guys,
getting that chemistry within the lineup and seeing guys kind

(16:03):
of popping and getting points when you need them. This
is when you need your depth. This is when you
need your third and fourth line guys to contribute on
the scoreboard and not just be another line out there.
You know, when I think of my line was, you know,
when Sid and Malcolm weren't going, I always felt like
Jordan Stall had a big game and he threw up points.

(16:26):
And those are the kind of lineups that push you
to the next level. So I'm interested to see how
the Penguins do, how they get out of this slump,
because they're gonna need their whole four lines and a
good goalie to get them going again. You know.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
I agree with all that, and one guy besides bros.
And he does intrigue me because, like you said, shoot
first past second. I think sometimes the Penguins don't have
enough of those tk But Coleiven has been hurt, he's
back in the lineup. I think he's a good young
player with offensive talent. He just can't score. Not a
goal in his career yet. Why do you think that is?
Why can't he get going.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
That? You know, some guys just have a knack for scoring,
you know. And I think once he gets one, he
might be a guy that scores in bunches, you know.
But he needs to get one. He needs to go
to the net. He needs to get like a greasy goal.
I feel like he's more of a not a highlight
real goal guy. But he makes some real good moves

(17:27):
and gets the shot off and it's it's it's shooting
from the outside, you know. He's not getting on the
inside of players, and he's not the biggest guy. He's
not the he doesn't play a heavy game, and I
think what will help him get more goals is honestly
just going to the net and hanging out there and
just just competing like a little bugger in front of

(17:49):
the net. When you think of guys like that, like
you know, the Connor Sheeries, the little guys that again
they weren't going to pound you, but they were like
these little water bugs that were all around the net,
clean up the garbage. And you know, he's got to
learn to get on the inside, play in front of
the net instead of being a perimeter player.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
Now Gino has sustained his hot start.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
What's enabled that because he's not out there with great
wingers five on five, but he's finding a way. He's
he's been more improvisational maybe than I've ever seen him.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
Yeah, it's nice to see. I feel like maybe the
young guys on the team are helping him have a
little more energy. But he's playing a smarter game, you know,
and he's he's distributing the puck, he's getting rid of
the pocket. You know. I feel like he's got confidence
and when you know you're coming to an end and
I feel like I see this in him, that he's
enjoying the game more and he's not putting as much breath.

(18:46):
He's just putting his best game forward every night, you know,
and he's embracing, you know, the end of his career.
And I think that's what's really propelling him. And obviously
getting some points is keeping him going. I know he's saying,
always got one or two more, but you never know,
you know. And I just think he's got that spark
back that you know, I haven't seen in a while.

(19:09):
And that's good to see because a healthy Malkins are
very successful Malcolm. And another thing that I see is
he's not playing as much as he did in the
year before. When you see how Muse is playing his lineup,
the third and fourth line, most of those guys all

(19:31):
have over ten minutes, which means guys like Malcolm, guys
like Sid aren't playing twenty five twenty six.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
Yeah, they're both averaging under twenty minutes DK. I think that's.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
Great exactly, and that's how you keep those guys fresh
throughout the end of the year. And I think malcl
is a guy that really benefits from that. You need
him the milk. You need him to be fresh. When
he starts getting tired, he you know, he tries to

(20:02):
force plays and it just isn't there. And the more
he does it, the worse he looks. So when he's
fresh and he's playing lass, you're getting a milk. And
that's that's hard to stop because he does have the
skill to still make plays, still scoring the league at
a high level.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
We're talking to Tyler Kennedy, Stanley Cup champanoh nine. You
see him now on sports at Pittsburgh tk Uh. Harrison
Brunick went to Wilkes for conditioning after being scratched a
bunch of games. And I get that he'll play for
canadat the World Juniors, but he's got to be disheveled
by all this. I mean, young kids like that. I'm
not saying going back to juniors would have been the

(20:43):
right thing, but a kid got to play.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
Yeah, maybe it's the paychecks part that he's just excited
about still from you know, making.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
Oh there's a lot lot to be said for that,
you know, and.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
Then he gets you know, the big one every two
weeks here. But I agree, I think it's a very
interesting plan they have for him, and a young guy
needs to play. I think, yes, it's great being around
all those stars, but it doesn't make sense having him
up here if he's not gonna play in the games

(21:19):
and see how they handle situations. He's got to get
time in the game, because there's nothing like experience. No
matter how much you watch or how much you practice,
there's nothing like playing and feeling the speed the strength
of NHL players. So I'm very interested to see what happens, because, yeah,
he's gonna go down for two weeks, come back, sit

(21:43):
maybe you know, who knows how many games gonna come back.
I would think you'd come back, Mark, and he would play.
I would think a handful of games before the World Juniors.
I had a bunch of games, and play a bunch
of games in World Juniors. And then you know, if
you if you're this far, like I don't really care

(22:05):
if you burn a year off his contract and you
send them back or or you know, do whatever.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
But with the cap going up t K, it's not
a big financial concern.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
So I agree, because can they send him back after Christmas, Mark,
after he played in the World Juniors, they can.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
The latest they can send them back is at the
forty game mark of the NHL season.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
Wow, So that that's very close to after the World Juniors.
So I would think I still think they might send
them back and burn the year and they screw it
because you know, when you think of the future, if
he yes, yes, and I still think they need to

(22:50):
make it very clear and maybe they have a what
they're doing, but they're keeping us in the dark. But
he needs to play, and it doesn't matter where. He
just needs to play. Because again, if he goes to
Junior's and he's the guy, he's playing every night, he's
playing a ton of minutes. Or if he comes up here,
he needs to play, even if it's fifteen minutes in

(23:11):
the NHL a night, you still are in that routine
letting him sit in the stands. It's not worth his development.
And I feel like it's taking a step back when
he doesn't play and he's watching. Now.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
That said, Kendall scratched tonight as part of the load
management plan, and I don't disagree with that. I think
at eighteen years old, getting the occasional night off just
to let your body recover that much more, I got
no problem.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
Well, I just feel like I don't get the load management.
It's like, guys, she's eighteen. He should be able to
play year round twenty four seventy's eighteen, you know. And
I know they're like, oh, load man, she's going to
watch a game this and that. I think the faster
you learn how to play when you're tired, how to

(24:05):
take care of your body. I think it's like a day.
It's it's given him a night off and giving him
almost like a rest when he shouldn't be resting. I
think letting him watch is not the right play. If
they're letting them sit in the stands because he's not
playing good enough, that's a different story. But if they're

(24:26):
pulling under the lineup to let him watch the game
and rest or whatever they want to call it, and reset,
I don't think that that's right. I don't. I think
you always put the team on the ice that you
want that's going to help you win, And if it's
him in the lineup, you put him in the lineup.

(24:46):
It's it's more than it's more than development. It's now
it's like, hey, this is a business. We need to
win games.

Speaker 3 (24:55):
Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I see your point
in letting them play. But this is about development. Now.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
Whether or not he develops better sitting occasionally or playing
every night, that's debatable. But this teammate's going to win
a cup t K. The future got to be developed
in the best way possible. You got to look on
for those guys.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
But I think their goal is to make the playoffs, Mark,
I don't. I know it's not like if it if
it's to for development and not make the playoffs, like
we should start selling guys off like or if it's
to hey, that make exactly exactly. But you know, if
it's to make the playoffs and give siden Gino one

(25:38):
last feel at a playoff experience in Pittsburgh, you know again,
I think you always put the lineup in that you
think is going to help you win. And I don't know,
I never seen this Mark in my whole career or
even watching and everything, sitting a guy and saying it's,
you know, part of the process, you know, I don't know.

(26:00):
Maybe I played on a lot of different teams.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
No, no, fair enough.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just saying that that
that's you know what they're planning. Now, how can the
Penguins get better in overtime three on three on Saturday,
I lost to Seattle.

Speaker 3 (26:13):
They did everything but scoring overtime.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
I know they're practicing it, but three on three is
kind of a difficult thing to.

Speaker 3 (26:19):
Practice, isn't it.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Yeah, because so many people have so it went from
being like back and forth to guys swinging back, loading up,
trying to tire out the other team. You're in simple, yes, yeah,
it went from playing checkers to chess, you know. And
it's so they're trying to make all these complicated plays
this and that. The biggest thing is getting guys to

(26:47):
score more goals, you know, like you need to have
a guy that can be the guy one on one
and score and that that's just not happening right now.
And it's it's one of those things that even in practice,
it's tough because you're gonna have your top three guys
against your third line guys that probably won't play in

(27:07):
the overtime, so they dominate them, you know. So it's
a tough thing to practice, but it's it's it's so
weird because, like you said, the coaches have ruined it,
you know, and it's it's all about catching guys tired,
and that's that turns into boring hockey, boring three on three. Uh.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
They say that if you're in the playoffs on Thanksgiving Day,
that you're seventy seven gonna make it. That makes tonight's
game even a little bit bigger. I hate to put
too much stock in that, but the numbers are what
they say.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
Yeah, I think they'll make it, Mark, I do think.
I think they probably will too, in which probably won't
be great on the big picture, but I think it
does give Cido and with Tang and Carlson a little
bit more motivation to play well the rest of the year.

(28:06):
So I have no problem.

Speaker 3 (28:07):
Oh no, no, me neither.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
My big worry is they finish like ninth in the
conference and don't get a good pick either.

Speaker 3 (28:13):
But I gotta tell you, I gotta tell you, you know,
if they did make the playoffs, this conference is so
bad that who knows.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
I mean, you know, it's about matchups, and there would
be some that wouldn't be that unfavorable for.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
Them, especially having guys like Sid Milk and then have
been in playoffs that are excited to be there. And
if we get some goaltending, watch out. You know, We're
one of those teams that you can never take lightly.
And if I'm another team, I definitely don't want to

(28:48):
play the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round. With the
guys we have, I think it really comes down to
goaltending in defense. If we get those two things, I
think we can actually do some damn and surprise some
teams in the playoffs this year.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
DK has always great stuff. Great seeing you, EJ Fest
We'll talk to you soon.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
All right. Happy Thanksgiving, Mark, enjoy and you TK.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. TK a father again recently,
so him and Brandy. Lovely couple. I'll compare them to
EJ and Diane too, just like Sid and Kathy. We
got Paul's ice at the top of the hour up
