Speaker 1 (00:01):
Today's Daily Highlight from Elvis Duran in the Morning show.
Here's the call, trying to get Uncle Johnny on zoom.
All right, so Uncle Johnny. Uncle Johnny hasn't been on
the show in a while, and we we always try
to get him in the Zoom room. And so we're
recording this because I want you to see what we're
going through. Last time, it took him how many minutes

(00:22):
to get him in the seventeen seventeen minutes. I bet
he's faster now, all right, let's try to get him in.
I want you to.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Know that I sent him a zoom room invite and
then I got a recorded message back. That's just an
ambient room noise with the station playing in the background
and him trying to figure it out.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Can you get him on the phone? Names, Yeah, call
him on the phone. I love that.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Uh, And we're just getting a weird phone call from
a number I don't have, but it was Erico two
to one to two, So I don't know if that
was him trying to call me.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
That could be his home number he has a yeah,
because he's back in New York City. Oh, Uncle Johnny.
But once we get him, it's always Radio Gold. It's
always like a lot of fun to talk to Uncle Johnny.
It's his home number, end in six y three. Okay, Yes,
he tried to call me. Yeah, I don't know what
he's answering. He's trying to call me. He's probably confused.

(01:20):
You can't Johnny answer your phone. It'll take him thirty
seconds to hear that exactly. Okay. But what I'm loving
is he can't even figure out how to use a
phone that's connected in his apartment. It's it's like a
connected phone to the to the wall, to the wall.
Here we go, pick him up. Scary. Hello, Uncle Johnny.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
Good morning, Oh wow, waited?

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Good morning?

Speaker 1 (01:45):
All right, So we sent you all the notifications to
get into the Zoom room. We're all in it and
we're waiting for you.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
Well, I got Froggy that thing, and I got the
Zoom one. But it's got so many things I didn't
know what they hit.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Well, what do you have?

Speaker 4 (02:02):
Well, I would on it. It says foggy Zoom information. And
then I went on to my regular iPad here which
I have the Zoom and I joined it joined the
personal link on John W. New's iPad. So I got
to figure out how to get in there.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Well, you should just be able to click it. It should
just say join meeting.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
And you click it like people all over the world
do this every day.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Just join meeting, joint meeting, all right, join with a
personal link name. All right, I put that, all right,
join click that.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Whenever you see the word join, it's it's one step closer.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
We'll just give out the meeting idea in the past here,
right past, right here. We'll have everybody in the brother
in the meeting room.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
Well, I put my real name down. It says joint
to join the meeting. So what do I put when
it says a meeting?

Speaker 1 (03:00):
I d.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Id was in the the meeting? ID is in the
thing that I sent you. It starts with eight one eight.
It's a long set of numbers.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
Don't read it out oh yes, yes, yes, yes, don't.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Read that out loud. That came into which you're reading
that on your iPhone.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
Originally I was by iPhone, and yes, that's what I
want to do.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Right now, go back to your iPhone. Hit hit that.
There's a link at the top. It says joined zoom meeting.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
Yes, all right, and I got it, Okay.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Hit that.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
Uh, and the Zoom meeting. I have to be the
number on the top. Yeah, so I put it in there.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
I just joined join me, just join it, just join
Yeah it should yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
And password and to password.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
No, no, it's just the one that starts with nineve
Why know, he shouldn't have to do a password if
it has a joint meeting.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
With all, you should just be able to click and
go if you've been invited.

Speaker 4 (03:57):
Well, I'm trying to get click and go just a minute.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Have you had all Uncle Johnny?

Speaker 4 (04:04):
No, I ken't. I got up about it now two hours.
I haven't. Actually I didn't sleep well all night.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
So anyway, usually there's several lines of gibberish and you
just click the entire thing and I and that's it. Well,
you can put it right here.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
I got message sent I went on it said join
zoom meeting. All right here, I'm joining it now. That
is invalid meeting.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
Okay, okay, he's gonna end up in someone's preschool class.
Would you post this video later? Can we have a
little counter with the amount of time it's taken Uncle
Johnny to yes?

Speaker 4 (04:50):
All right, right, all right, so I'm going to get
together with you one day and you show me exactly
when put it up there, and then I'll be able
to do it.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
But it should be easy. I mean, if he sent
it to your iPhone, he sent you all the information.
It's all included in the link, the password, everything all.
You just push the link and it takes you in.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
All right, so let me see. All right, I'm on
the iPhone and I hit please enter meeting password. But
I don't know your meeting password.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
I just I just said it to you.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
It just sent it to me.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Now I just send it to you again. It's the
it's thet id.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
Now it just went away.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
That's because it's a text. That's what it does. It's
a notification. It comes up and then it goes away.
You got to go look at your text message.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
It's in your it's in your text.

Speaker 4 (05:37):
Messages, in my text mesa yes, oh see.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Where are they your text messages when you.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Go to on my phone right, yes, yes, So what
you should do, Johnny is you should get your phone
and open up your text message and then now where
you'll see the meeting id in the pass code. And
then if you have your iPad next to you, you'll
be able to type it in while looking at the phone.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
Oh so I got to put the iPad next to me.
Let me go see it. Could I get the Twitter
on my iPhone?

Speaker 1 (06:05):

the iPhone in front of me.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Ignore the iPad, right, just ignore the iPad.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
I'm ignoring the iPad.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Well, hold on, do you have tax I think it's
easier if he uses the iPad with the Zoom software
that he has on there? Does he looks at the
meeting ID in the passcode on his iPhone?

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Okay, Johnny, question, do you have any text messages on
your iPad too? I think he does? He used to.

Speaker 4 (06:44):

three five No, it says pass code. It starts with
nine three five.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
No, it doesn't say that.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Let me sure I texted to you. I know it
says that a right link and it sends them in. Listen.
I don't know. Well, now people are texting in that
that Zoom changed the rules because of security issues, and
now you always have to put the password in.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
No.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
I never did the past word in ever, not one time.
Send the new new link every morning. Then maybe Gandhi
and Daniel are here illegally. Oh, I got it, you
got it the minute, Hold on, hold on, let me
tell you.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Okay, last time it took seventeen minutes. This time I
send him the original invite it at after okay, four,
it took twenty one minutes.

Speaker 1 (12:40):

all that booze in the background. Where So the good
news is we've been recording since the zoom room, so

Speaker 3 (13:02):
The last time I was on the zoom was went
back Katie, but she's pregnant, she had the baby.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
Hey, Johnny, you're so close to the screen, you can
back you can back up all of it. That's how
my mom talks. My mom was like, hello, we could
ship your nose. Oh my god, Hey Johnny, that's did
you show everyone your new TV that we got you?

Speaker 5 (13:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (13:27):
Oh yeah, he's a big apartment. You have a big apartment.
You have a lot of plants. You're growing weed in
there too.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
It's the whole top floor.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Wow, Uncle Johnny, that plays nice. It's a factory.

Speaker 4 (13:44):
Yeah, but what he caught a lot.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
He is an old man fact a railroad apartment sort of. Yeah,
it's a whole factory.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
It goes all the way to the back.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
Johnny, Johnny, show them the Tower of Terror elevator. That's
the most frightening elevation or in New York City. It's like,
remove your hair. It's right over there. That is that
thing will eat you. The doors will close it and
then will eat you.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
Well not its forty years and there you go.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
Uncle Johnny finally got on zoom. That was I'm worn out. God.
But every time, every single time he had a problem
with his cell phone or anything, his remote control for
his TV. That's what happened on that phone, John versus technology.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Yeah, he technology won every time. Every Time's blown away
at how patient I was. I don't think I'm that
patient with anybody else in my whole life.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
You got to keep in mind that was during pandemic.
We had nothing but time. Yeah, we were like, oh,
thank god.

Speaker 6 (14:43):
Yeah, everybody would give us his iPad or iPhone to
hook up to the Wi fi and we'd go to
hook it up boys ahoy, his gay porn.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
Oh God, bless you, Johnny, thank you for all the laughs.
People were asking, is there going to be a service?
You know, it was Johnny's ex. He was very, very
very insistent on this. He wanted to be cremated immediately.
He didn't want anyone to look at at him. He's like,
I don't want any viewing, I don't want to I

(15:16):
don't want to service. Just throw me a big party
at Cherry's on the Bay in Fire Island on Fire
Island this summer. So we're gonna do that. We'll let
you know when we're getting closer to that. So there
is one person who did see him as far as
his friends go, and that's our friend, oh, Richard Bell.

Speaker 4 (15:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
They called and said, uh, you know, Johnny passed away
at seven twenty five this morning, which is right before
we right before he got the call. Actually he had
just passed away, and they said, we'll keep him here
in his room if you want to come see him
real quick. And we were way out at the farm
we couldn't get into town, but Richard said, I'll go.

(15:57):
So Richard Bell went up to his hospital room and
he sat down with Uncle Johnny's body, and uh, he's
like he called us. He's like, I'm with him now.
I'm oh, okay, are you? Are you okay?

Speaker 4 (16:08):
Richard?

Speaker 1 (16:09):
He it's like he's just sleeping, and I keep wanting
wanting him to wake up. I'm like, wake up Johnny.
And uh he didn't, of course, but our friend Anthony
brought him a little beijeon, a little little stuffed dog
that looked just like his Sophia, who passed away several
years ago. So Richard took Sophia the uh stuffed dog

(16:32):
and put it right next to his chin, and he
held on to him and uh that's how how Richard
left him. So anyway, Wow, funniest guy you've ever met,
Uncle Johnny. He was from another planet, without doubt, and
we love you, Uncle Johnny.
