Speaker 1 (00:00):
Talking with the biggest stars from our Mercedes Benz Interview
Lounge backstage See one's jingle Ball. This is Elvis Duran
in the Morning Shows jingle Ball Diaries Live.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
From the Mercedes Benz Interview Lounge. I'm gandhi here with
Danielle and Raven. Leney has just joined us, and just
joined us fresh from being on stage and performing very fresh.
My heart still beat it talk about it. It was
so much fun.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
Honestly, I've been looking forward to this one. I knew
it'd be so many amazing people in the crowd, and
you know, and in the year off when a really
high note.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
I feel like you have described your sound as like
soul meets fairy tale princess. What does this mean by
that exactly?
Speaker 3 (00:40):
You know, I grew up on soul, that's my roots.
But I think there's something so cool about being able
to twist it and bend it a little bit and
make it a little weird and haunting and a little eerie,
but still light and floaty, whimsical. So that's that's the world.
I like to live in love it.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
I think whimsical needs to be the word of twenty
twenty five because mud have been living it and hearing
it so much. And I'm glad that you are now
because you've been working on your sound for a long
time and now here you are and you've made it.
How does it feel? And what were some of your
firsts this year?
Speaker 3 (01:11):
That's a great question. Well, one of the first was
playing Coachella and that was something that's always been on
my bucket list. Another one was I'm from Chicago, so
playing a lot La Palooza with something I grew up
dreaming about. And I remember going and seeing some of
my favorite artists play at really pivotal points in their careers.
So being on stage and thinking, wait, is this is
(01:32):
this that moment for me? You know? So it was.
It was really crazy this year, and like I think,
I'm going to take a minute to think about all
the things that happened with family and loved ones. But
you know, it's good to think to think about it.
That is incredible. Thank you, we have congratulations.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
So looking forward to the next year, what's the first
that you want?
Speaker 3 (01:52):
I think I want to travel.
Speaker 4 (01:54):
More, Oh you will, Yeah, of course I want to
travel more, but also I'm just excited to get some
new new is it go and you know, you know,
get some new listeners, and this year has been so
much of that, so I just want to keep pushing that.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
So now you're winding down for the holiday season, you
have any traditions.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
Usually I go to Chicago and that's what I'm doing
this year, and I spent some time with my family
and it's already snowing. Oh nice, it's too early to
be snowing, but I'm excited about it.
Speaker 4 (02:19):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
No, this is the right time. Is exactly usually a
snow after laster.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
Okay, you're right, you're right.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Our last question is the iHeartRadio jingle ball. If you
pulled up your iHeartRadio app right now, the last song
you listen to.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
Is that's a great question. M The last song I
listened to will probably be Please Please Please. Okay, that's
my jam, all.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
Right, and you heard it right here all right again,
like from the Mercedes Men's Interview Lounge, it is Gandhi
and Danielle with Raven Lonnee. Thank you so much, y'all,
