of Bowles, Wellington, is back with us.

sport again for the new year. Well, let's review first
of all, as we often do at the start of
the slot. Jason, we'll start with the Gibbons Trophy triples.
What are some of the results from there?

Yes, so this was for our juniors and it was played.
The Gibbons was played last Saturday. So in the quarter
finals we had Winery beating Plymoton fourteen seven, silver Stream
ten to six, winners over nine igh Upper Heart beating
Stakes Valley thirteen twelve, at Patoni Central beating TTBA fifteen seven.

And then the semi finals, WinUI came out on top
over silver Stream fifteen nine, Patoni Central beating Upper Hut
fourteen four, so he's.

Moved into the final.

We had Patoni Central up against Wainui and Patoni Central
come out on top of that one eleven nine, So
congratulations to the winners of that. James McMillan Henry j
Sonowitz and Colin McMillan to Collins, James's older brother, but
he's in his first year of bowlso a great effort
by him.

Awesome congratulations to them. And we also had the MacArthur
Henry Shield Fours yep.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
So again the juniors last Sunday into the fours. In
the quarterfinals. The clubs had the opportunity to enter more
than one team in this, so in the quarter finals
we had nine I Red beating Winer Marta fourteen two,
Plymoton beating silver Stream Blue nine six, nine I White
beating nine I Yellow seven to five, and Silverstream Green

beating for Tony Central eight two. In the semifinals, the
nine Red team beat Plymoton fourteen six and Silverstream beat
nine O White nine to three. So in the final
was a close one Silverstream versus nine I, with Silverstream
coming out on top ten shots to nine.

Matt goes to Steve Rickman, Danny Bullen, Peter Watt and

Of that, Yeah, so it's our second REP game of
the season tomorrow, so the what we call the Terror
of Quad. So there's Wellington, Capiti, Wirapra Manu Tu teams
and the Fox plan Bos. Wellington teams include the Open
men and women and the Development men and women, and
the men will be at Johnsonville, both the Development and Open,

and the ladies will be at Silver String. So if
you're in those areas, come down and have a watch
as we again work our way through to the next
RIP game which will be in a couple of weeks,
which is the Octagonal and Hexagonal before we move into
the inter center.

Great, and speaking of Rep staff a level above, International
Bowls are coming to our region very shortly countdown as
well and truly onto this one.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Yeah, so we welcome the trends Kasman back to the
nine I Bowling Club.

This was played at nine to O last year, so.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
It's good to see, you know the key he's up
against the Aussies in any sport, even better when it's
bowls and it's local.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
So that starts next Friday.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
There'll be a test match each day, so Friday, Saturday
and Sunday that will include Open and Development men and
woman and a parent team and great to be represented
by some of our players and those teams. So we'll
have Finn bar mcgwiggan representing the New Zealand Open Men
and the Development Men. We've got Black Signal.

And Robbie Bird. Now Robbie Bird this is his local
club so he'll have a lot of support.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
And in the Development Women we have Nachascera Russell who's
come over from Australia to play in this event.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
So it's going to be great. There's a great opportunity.
I say, come down watch some good bowls. If he
can't make it, it's going to be streamed live.
