Wellington's Michael Bracewell will captain an under-strength Black Caps side for five Twenty20 internationals against Pakistan later this month.
Bracewell takes on the national captaincy for the first time, having sat out the past year due to Achilles and finger injuries.
His Wellington teammate Tim Robinson's earned a maiden selection after a standout domestic campaign with the Firebirds.
Adam Cooper headed along to the Basin Reserve to catch up with both Bracewell and Robinson.
