(00:02):
here on the All Sport Breakfast. Jason Puddock is in
Studio oneingte adjacent morning.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Adam mue Hoody on.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
It's been a bit dicey last couple of days.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Isn't this just wrapping up a bit warm in this weather?

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Exactly? All right? We have been chatting the fours tell
us were things sit there?

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Yeah? So the Champion Champion events played last week. We
saw the fours on Saturday and the women's In the
quarter finals we saw nine I beating Massiev twenty two
to one, Patoni Central beating Silver Stream seventeen to seven,
Stakes Valley beating Titahi Bay sixteen six, and Tawa beating
Lyle Bay thirteen seven. In our semifinals we had nine

(00:38):
Eye beating Patni Central twenty one to fifteen, in Stakes
Valley beating Tawa fourteen twelve. So now we're down to
the final. As we've said previously, there's a finals weekend
coming up. So in that final we'll have a nine
I versus Stakes Valley, and that nine O team is
ali at tavoulu Leone Gough and Robinson and Tina Stare
and they square off against the Stakes Valley team of

(00:58):
Birdie Love, sharibro Bevdoherty and Shavannah Williams.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Okay. All the best to them and we'll talk about
that when it comes in.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
The men, yeah, and the men. In the quarterfinals, Candala
beat Tarwar twenty shots to ten, nine I beating Merrimar
fourteen thirteen, Hut beating Upper Hut sixteen twelve, and Lowel
Bay beating Victoria fifteen twelve. So again, those semi finals
we played later in the month, we'll see Candala against
nine iine one semifinal and Hut playing Lowell Bay in

(01:26):
the other semifinal.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Alright, so well those are the are the fours. Let's
go one down to the triples.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Yeah, and the triples and the women's side quarter finals
we saw Johnsonville beating Ye twenty shots to eleven, nine
I beating Massiev twenty eight, nine, Island Bay beating Wilton
twenty nine to seven, and Victoria beating Tarwa seventeen to fourteen.
So in those semifinals we'll see Johnsonville up against nine
I and Island Bay against Victoria.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Very good and any of those teams making it through
the men's as well.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Yes, So the men's quarter finals we saw Newtown beating
Island Bay eighteen sixteen, Tawa beating Titahibay nineteen thirteen, Victoria
beating Plymoton nineteen nine, and nine I beating silver Stream
nineteen seven. So those semi finals will see Newtown versus
Tawa and Victoria versus nine I. Now, Newtown, I think
this is a good run by these guys at quite

(02:17):
a small club, one of our smaller clubs. We don't
often see their name pop up later in competition. So
well done to Newtown so far.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Yeah great, all right, look forward to those semi finals
as well when they come around. And a bit of
news from up the line, I believe.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Yeah, So a bit of a shout out to one
of the clubs up up the Capita Coast throughal Maddy
Bowling Club. I've had a fantastic season, runner up in
the National Inter Club Women's event earlier in the month,
but also continuing ex success on the green up there.
They've just won the championshamp Men's fours up there with

(02:53):
the team of Lorrie Flynn, Neil Pritchard and Graham Corlette
with Redge Goston picking up his twenty second title up there,
and they've had again, like we mentioned, the women's side
had a fantastic running the champion champs up there as well.
They've won the women's singles, the pears and triples and
the players involved in there are Elisa White and Trishkrup,
Rachelle Stevenson, Michelle McDonald and Audrey Stevenson picking up her

(03:16):
sixty third center title in the Kapiti Coast, which is
fantastics unbelievable, amazing.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Now, that's so good. All right, congratulations for all the
success they've had up their way at the great beautiful
Club of El Matsy Beach. And but happening across this weekend, Jace,
what's on the agenda?

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Yeah, so today we've never got most of that bad
weather out of the way. We'll see the last rep
game of the season. So this is for our one
to five players, the wuk WM, so they'll be playing
against Wirappa Kapadi and Manuwa Tu. We see the men
at Upper Hut and the woman at Tony Central. So again,
if you're out and about and you want to go
and watch some balls, be great to go down and
see those and Also, starting today up in Auckland, we

(03:55):
have the Bowls three five National Finals now these will
be live on YouTube Sky Sports across today and tomorrow,
and Wellington is represented by the nine O team of
Robbie Byrd, Sam Allison and Kenny Critchlow, so we wish
them all the luck for this weekend.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Brilliant stuff alright, plenty on the agenda self, Jace, appreciate
your time. As always, we'll chat again soon.
