As young girls, Ali and her sister were sexually abused by their father on multiple occasions, and it’s revealed in the book that he also repeatedly raped his grandson. It’s a shocking, and confronting story that is told with the hope of helping others.
Ali's story is complex and powerful and she does such a great job of articulating it. And she is brilliant company, warm fun and engaging.
