The Ashburton A&P Show returns this FRI and SAT. Luke caught up with Show President Ben Stock and reigning champion Kim Reed to talk the return of the crowd-favourite Celebrity Shearing competition.

and they're good friends up on stage making a deck

Well, no, not at all, But I did manage to
sneak in a few practices here and there with a
few friends that knew how to do it.

So his trimming fleece quite similar to cutting human hair to.

An extent, there's similarities. Yeah, I probably do think that
I had a little bit of a head start with
knowing how to hold a sharing piece, well, sharing piece

I wasn't prepared for. Is the footwork it's at dance
with those lambs, Yeah, definitely. You've got to make sure

So it was a lovely invite to get back, and yeah,
I thought, well why not. But they've tricked me this year,
you see, because they've brought in my best friend as
my competition.

We've got Kath Trembath. So Kath's the owner of Kelly's
Bar and Girl or Kelly's Bars.

Here the friends are loving it. The old Kath and
Kim scenario has been quite been quite so we have

It's quite funny. And I think what I'm might just
trying to do is call her for a few drinks
the night before I reckon and I just I'll be
on the water and I'll be stitching her up.
