Speaker 1 (00:01):
Quite in theme with a fantastic afternoon enjoyed yesterday and
a pretty special one. Amber and I took three and
a half year old Alice to her very first live
stage show at the Event Center, the grand Splash finale
of Children's Theasters, finding Nemo Junior and thankfully Alice made it.
She had a pretty rough weeping under the weather even
(00:23):
mister good Buddy's fifth birthday party on Saturday, but was
not going to miss catching this wave. No. We even
had Grandma kindly anchoring down at home to babysit we William,
so our first outing was just Alice since he was born,
which made it extra special. Before we left, Alis rated
her costume box and insisted on wearing the bright orange
Nemo dress that she's had for a wee while. Now
(00:44):
the perfect outfish outfit should I say for this little
clownfish walking in and immediately the stage hads hoked. They
transformed it into a glowing underwater reef thanks to those
jaw dropping UV effects. A load of work going into
making that set and then the show itself pure magic,
not a single one of the sixty odd kids missing
(01:07):
a beat. Whole school of talent, the costumes, were an
eclectic ocean of creativity, including those larger than lifehead pieces
which must have been a bit of a tight squeeze backstage.
The cast making waves, the lights of Cara Is Nemo
and Medline as Dory nothing short of awesome with their
with great voices, loved Brooklyn as crushed the turtle, Yeah dude,
(01:31):
and also the young man I didn't catch his name,
but the one that was battling the seagulls had me
laughing every time the Mine Mine moments came on. Got
a sandwich in the end, the set a pack to
the girls, a complete sell out as it deserved to
be bumped into musical director Lucy afterwards, who was just brimming.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
I absolutely am. We are so proud of the cast
of mid Kennery Children's Theater after our finals this afternoon.
It is fantastic, such a wonderful growth of kids.
