Mental Health Foundation promotes five ways, five things that all
of us can do to keep us healthy mentally. So
this week we are running events kind of focused around
each of.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Those five ways.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
We do it every year. And yesterday we had keep
learning as one of the one of the waste wellbeing,
so we had to learn to next class.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
How you got on with that?

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Oh good, Well I didn't attempt it, but the others
were looking very very confident.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
And today we have focused on take Notice and that
is an event specifically for women who are doing too much.
Women who are doing too much. I don't know any
of them, but.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Quite a few hands that are going up behind the
scenes in all venus. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Yeah, I've got a few places left for that one.
With Connection coach Linda Brody, it's called Permission to Pause,
and it's just about sort of prioritizing and getting some
energy back for those women who do too.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Much, especially into term four. Now this is the crazy
one man exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
With family and work and voluntary commitments or community involvement, sports, whatever.
People are busy, so that will be a really interesting one. Yeah,
Tonight tonight at.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Seven at the Little Library.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
No, that's going to be held in the lounge at
the Senior Center.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Oh nice.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Yeah, because it's an evening one. The library's closed when
we're having it. Tomorrow, we've got an event that focuses
on connect which is another way to wellbeing, so connect
with others. And it's also celebrating the eighth birthday of
the Time Bank, so Time Banking Keep Learning have been
going for eight years, so we're celebrating that tomorrow on
Mate the October, and that's going to be out at

(01:55):
Hemsworth Estate. Oh I like that, and have an afternoon
tea out there. So we've got all different people coming
out to enjoy the place, have a nice afternoon tea,
connect with some new people. That's what it's all about.
Friday we have the Hampstead Bowling Club are hosting I
Give Bowls a Go night.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
So Levy gets be active.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
That's the one you'd be active indeed, and it's very
social club so it's also probably covering a lot of
the other things like connection and yeah, it's a great
it's a family friendly. Lots of younger people at in
that bowling club, so all ages are welcome to give
bowls to go and kids are welcome to come along.

(02:35):
There's a barbecue tae, the bars open, so quite a
social evening. That's this Friday at Hampstead Bowling Club. People
do need to register because we need to know how
many to casha for. Yeah, and then Saturday we have
you know, the final way to well being, so they connect.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Give is a gift give it.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Yes, we're going to be called Made to Give, and
that's been hosted by the Eshburn Art Gallery and pretty popular,
but there are still a few places available there as well.
And that's where people get to carve their own stamp,
like make a wooden stamp and then use it to
print make like put the stamp on gift paper, so
make their own gift paper, gift cards, labels.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
For gift giving.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
So it could be Christmas or it could be any
kind of stamp they want. But yeah, so that's kind
of cool and they get to take the stamp home
and reuse it to make cards or patterns on paper
in the future.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Neat collection of ideas. So have you got a one
stop shop that has all the details and all the registration.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Yeah, people can head to Keep Learning MC. That's they
Keep Learning Mid Canterbury website, Keep Learning MC dot nzet
and they can find yeah, they can find all the
events on the Keep Learning website.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Love it Mental Health Awareness Week well and truly looking
after that top Addock with a bunch of happenings in
